- 0:10Speaker 1: Hi, my name's Jennifer Lawrence, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:15Speaker 2: It's showtime.
- 0:16Speaker 3: The following feature has been rated R by the Motion
- 0:19Speaker 3: Picture Association of America.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It is intended for mature audiences, and parental discretion is advised.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Kilowatts of power. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:57Speaker 5: I'm Brian. I am Misty.
- 0:58Speaker 4: And we are coming to you live in a digital
- 0:59Speaker 4: recording from the floor here at Wizard World Louisville.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Hells yes.
- 1:25Speaker 7: All right, Misty, what's your take on this?
- 1:27Speaker 5: I've seen only two Lokis today. Actually, in the past
- 1:30Speaker 5: two days, I've seen only two Lokis, and I'm very
- 1:32Speaker 5: disappointed with that, although the convention itself has been pretty
- 1:34Speaker 5: damn rowdy.
- 1:35Speaker 7: It is pretty awesome.
- 1:36Speaker 5: They did give me some free mints, so that's always
- 1:38Speaker 5: a plus. I was kind of going for the hand sanitizer,
- 1:41Speaker 5: but maybe I'll get that the next round.
- 1:43Speaker 7: And you didn't make them explode like Jennifer Lawrence.
- 1:45Speaker 5: I did not, not yet. The day is not over.
- 1:47Speaker 7: That's true.
- 1:48Speaker 5: No, they seem explode-proof. They seem to have taken that
- 1:51Speaker 5: into account.
- 1:53Speaker 7: Oh, they watched her video like we did over and
- 1:55Speaker 7: over and over again.
- 1:56Speaker 5: I think so, because, yeah, I think it's even misty-proof
- 1:58Speaker 5: at this point.
- 1:59Speaker 7: Oh, God. I can barely get a mint out.
- 2:01Speaker 5: I can, like, ugh. It's been a pretty good turnout,
- 2:03Speaker 5: but not as many as I would have expected. It's
- 2:05Speaker 5: not like.
- 2:05Speaker 7: As far as costumes or people?
- 2:07Speaker 5: Yeah, costumes. I mean, I like costumes. I guess a
- 2:10Speaker 5: lot of them, I can't tell if they're in costumes, because, like,
- 2:13Speaker 5: there's so many, like, Doctor Who cosplayers here that I'm like, oh,
- 2:16Speaker 5: look at that girl in that little outfit.
- 2:18Speaker 7: She could be a.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Companion person I don't know I.
- 2:23Speaker 8: Did that earlier as they walked by I was like
- 2:25Speaker 8: are you a doctor who oh no he's just a
- 2:27Speaker 8: nerd it's a fine line really no offense we love
- 2:30Speaker 8: nerds obviously but sometimes I'm like I'm not sure what
- 2:32Speaker 8: you're going for is a half ass doctor.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Who or are you just normally kind of a nerd
- 2:36Speaker 5: okay they have a scarlet witch over there I'm kind
- 2:38Speaker 5: of digging she didn't half ass it she did pretty
- 2:40Speaker 5: good and the girl with the lightning bolt on her
- 2:42Speaker 5: boobies I don't know who she is but she's got
- 2:44Speaker 5: a lightning chest.
- 2:46Speaker 8: That is a plus I can tell you hell yeah
- 2:49Speaker 8: it is any girl with lightning boobs But yes.
- 2:51Speaker 5: There has been a plethora of people. I have not
- 2:53Speaker 5: bought anything. I feel like I should, but I haven't.
- 2:56Speaker 9: I will eventually.
- 2:57Speaker 7: I'm usually just overwhelmed with stuff. There's just so much here.
- 3:01Speaker 5: There's quite a bit of stuff.
- 3:02Speaker 7: Yeah, I can't even process.
- 3:04Speaker 5: And when you're walking through stuff, you have to dodge
- 3:06Speaker 5: Michael Rooker, and that's just a hassle right there.
- 3:08Speaker 7: Yeah, yesterday, I.
- 3:10Speaker 8: Don't know, was he even signing at that point?
- 3:14Speaker 7: He just randomly showed up walking around in here.
- 3:16Speaker 8: He's got his sunglasses on, which normally I take points
- 3:18Speaker 8: off indoors, but he's Michael Rooker.
- 3:20Speaker 5: He had his kicks on, too.
- 3:21Speaker 7: Don't forget about that. He had Adidas.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Yeah, that's his kicks right there.
- 3:25Speaker 7: He had the old school white Adidas with the stripes going.
- 3:28Speaker 7: He was hardcore. And, yeah, he just randomly runs up and, like.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Were they Adidas or were they Puma? I couldn't tell.
- 3:33Speaker 7: I think they were Adidas. They had the stripes going.
- 3:36Speaker 10: Did they?
- 3:36Speaker 5: I have to get the phone out.
- 3:37Speaker 10: Hold on.
- 3:37Speaker 8: He, uh... Yeah, he decides to go steal a piece
- 3:41Speaker 8: of pizza.
- 3:42Speaker 7: I don't know who he's back at. I'm assuming nobody
- 3:43Speaker 7: would argue because he's Michael Rooker.
- 3:44Speaker 5: You don't fucking argue with Michael Rooker.
- 3:46Speaker 7: That's right. He might just go crazy on your ass.
- 3:47Speaker 7: He will out-crazy you.
- 3:48Speaker 5: He will bust out the crazy all up on your ass.
- 3:50Speaker 8: So he steals a piece of pizza, and he's walking
- 3:52Speaker 8: around with a coffee in one hand, a pizza in
- 3:54Speaker 8: the other, sunglasses on, just eating the pizza, and just
- 3:58Speaker 8: totally interacting.
- 3:59Speaker 7: With the people.
- 3:59Speaker 5: You're right.
- 4:00Speaker 10: They are Adidas.
- 4:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm telling you. I know my old school shoes.
- 4:03Speaker 5: They're not the kind with the toe, though, the shell toe.
- 4:07Speaker 7: I want some roos. Do they still make kangaroos?
- 4:09Speaker 5: I want to be able to hide shit in my shoes.
- 4:12Speaker 5: They were brought back into popularity a couple years ago.
- 4:14Speaker 7: Man, that's where I keep my house key and shit.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Hell yeah. Get your loose change to make a phone
- 4:17Speaker 5: call in one of their phone booths.
- 4:19Speaker 8: Well, that would have to be a hundred years ago
- 4:21Speaker 8: when they still had pay phones because now children would
- 4:23Speaker 8: just be confused if they saw one.
- 4:26Speaker 5: I walked around and looked at a I looked at
- 4:28Speaker 5: some faces. I saw Dean Cain's. I saw asses, dude.
- 4:31Speaker 7: You were taking pictures of people's asses.
- 4:33Speaker 10: I was.
- 4:34Speaker 5: It brought it on because we were walking into the
- 4:38Speaker 5: building after we got our passes or whatever. I walk
- 4:41Speaker 5: by and there's that one douche nugget. I fucking hate
- 4:44Speaker 5: that guy.
- 4:45Speaker 7: I think we've made that perfectly clear in previous years.
- 4:48Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh, it's that guy. And with him
- 4:52Speaker 5: is Shane and Lori. And Shane kind of looks over
- 4:55Speaker 5: at me. I guess he's kind of used to that
- 4:56Speaker 5: by now. I think he thought I was talking about him.
- 4:59Speaker 5: And then I felt bad because we kind of were like, oh,
- 5:01Speaker 5: we don't know where we're going. We're just going to
- 5:02Speaker 5: follow them. Because I figured they know where the fuck
- 5:04Speaker 5: they're going. Anyway, so we're riding up the escalator behind
- 5:07Speaker 5: Shane and Laurie.
- 5:09Speaker 9: Laurie, Laurie.
- 5:10Speaker 5: I called her the wrong name.
- 5:11Speaker 7: Yeah, we're going by character names because that's how we roll.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Sarah Wayne Cayley's and.
- 5:15Speaker 7: The Walking Dead, Shane and Laurie.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Yeah, whatever. And I'm like, you know, watching the show...
- 5:21Speaker 5: They don't really show you it, but goddamn, that girl's
- 5:23Speaker 5: got a good ass. I don't even care, dude. It's
- 5:25Speaker 5: like small, but good. It's like.
- 5:27Speaker 8: So we were trying to decide, because on the show,
- 5:29Speaker 8: you're kind of like, eh, why are these guys fighting
- 5:30Speaker 8: over her? But then we saw her here, and we're like, oh, well,
- 5:32Speaker 8: now we know.
- 5:33Speaker 5: I get it now, dude. I totally get it.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Totally get why you're willing to kill your best friend.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Oh, that ass. She's got a nice ass. It's small,
- 5:42Speaker 5: but round. It's like... Firm? You could probably bounce a
- 5:45Speaker 5: quarter off that shit.
- 5:46Speaker 7: That's not good. I mean, we can go over there
- 5:47Speaker 7: and see if she'll let us try.
- 5:48Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 5:49Speaker 7: Security might be hauling us out.
- 5:50Speaker 5: I might have some loose change. I might have some pennies.
- 5:52Speaker 5: I think that might be an insult.
- 5:54Speaker 7: Anything less than a quarter I think is an insult.
- 5:56Speaker 5: How many half dollars on you?
- 5:57Speaker 7: There you go. A Sacagawea. A Kennedy dollar. A Sacagawea.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 7: That's gold. That's really impressive.
- 6:04Speaker 5: I'd spend a quarter on that ash.
- 6:07Speaker 7: I'm sure she appreciates the sentiment.
- 6:10Speaker 5: I'm not trying to be like me. That's a compliment
- 6:12Speaker 5: for me.
- 6:12Speaker 10: Oh, it is.
- 6:13Speaker 7: You're hardcore. You would call somebody out if they had
- 6:15Speaker 7: a terrible ass.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Hers is good. I took a picture of it on
- 6:18Speaker 5: the escalator.
- 6:21Speaker 7: She's not kidding people.
- 6:22Speaker 5: I'm not. I posted it on Facebook already.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 6:27Speaker 8: What other run-ins have we had this week?
- 6:29Speaker 5: I saw Dean Cain's face. I'm not sure what's going
- 6:31Speaker 5: on there. Jason Momoa. I'm probably fucking that name up.
- 6:38Speaker 7: I haven't even seen him yet.
- 6:39Speaker 5: He's over there. Yeah, he's over there.
- 6:40Speaker 7: Good to know.
- 6:40Speaker 5: I wonder why he didn't bring his wife, because that
- 6:42Speaker 5: would probably have been a bigger draw.
- 6:43Speaker 8: She was married to Lenny Kravitz, so you got that going.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Oh, my God, he's a good Thor. I want my
- 6:48Speaker 5: picture with that guy. I want my picture with that Thor.
- 6:50Speaker 11: He's going to take my picture with Thor.
- 6:55Speaker 1: He's going to take my.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Picture with Thor.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I hate dinner.
- 6:57Speaker 12: Want some music for your ears? Doo-Wop Shop makes it
- 7:00Speaker 12: easy to rent for any event, business meeting, or special occasion.
- 7:03Speaker 12: From PA systems to karaoke machines to just about anything
- 7:06Speaker 12: that makes noise, you can rent it from the Doo-Wop Shop.
- 7:09Speaker 12: In Louisville, find them either at their Highland Store at
- 7:12Speaker 12: 1587 Bardstown Road or in the East End at 2915
- 7:16Speaker 12: South Hurstburn Parkway. And look for them online at DooWopShop.com.
- 7:20Speaker 12: Doo-Wop Shop. We're serious about music.
- 7:23Speaker 9: All right, we're back.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 7:25Speaker 7: Miss Day had to run off and take her picture
- 7:26Speaker 7: in the middle of everything.
- 7:27Speaker 9: I did.
- 7:27Speaker 5: I was so excited. Super excited. Oh, my God.
- 7:30Speaker 7: She's all up the work.
- 7:31Speaker 5: It was a Thor, and it was a good Thor.
- 7:32Speaker 5: It was not a half-assed Thor. That guy's hair might
- 7:35Speaker 5: have actually been real.
- 7:35Speaker 10: I think it was.
- 7:36Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure it was.
- 7:37Speaker 7: I think it was.
- 7:38Speaker 5: His muscles I'm not so sure about, but he seemed
- 7:40Speaker 5: kind of nice. And there was like a whole bunch,
- 7:42Speaker 5: like all the Avengers had assembled. It was pretty exciting.
- 7:44Speaker 7: They assembled around you, and you took a photo.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Yeah, Spider-Man kind of put his hand in front of
- 7:49Speaker 5: my face. I'm not sure how I felt about that,
- 7:50Speaker 5: but whatever.
- 7:51Speaker 7: He was trying to sling webs and whatnot.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Keep his webs away. Nick Fury was staring off into space.
- 7:56Speaker 5: I don't think he was... He was looking for danger. Okay.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Super excited.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 8:01Speaker 5: I was excited. There needs to be more Lokis. I'm
- 8:04Speaker 5: so disappointed in the lack of Lokiness.
- 8:05Speaker 8: What is wrong with people? But what's weird is you
- 8:08Speaker 8: had me take the picture. You're like, here, take the picture.
- 8:10Speaker 8: So I backed up trying to get everybody in.
- 8:11Speaker 7: I ran into an Elvis.
- 8:13Speaker 9: I saw him.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I've got my picture with him before.
- 8:14Speaker 7: I was like, what's up with that? Why is Elvis
- 8:16Speaker 7: just wandering around in the middle of my Thor picture?
- 8:17Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 8:18Speaker 5: I might have to stop again. There is another Thor
- 8:19Speaker 5: and Loki.
- 8:19Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Hold on. Stop.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Oh, my God. Lady Loki and Thor. They seem pretty nice.
- 8:39Speaker 5: The Lady Thor seems a little bit more chit-chatty than
- 8:41Speaker 5: the Loki did.
- 8:42Speaker 7: Loki seems... Kind of, you know. Well, she's burdened by
- 8:46Speaker 7: the helmet, you know.
- 8:47Speaker 5: There's a lot of glorious purpose in that helmet. I
- 8:50Speaker 5: am jealous of that helmet. I wish I could have
- 8:51Speaker 5: a helmet that awesome.
- 8:52Speaker 7: I don't know why you're not building one right now.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Because that would involve me doing stuff. I thought about it,
- 8:56Speaker 5: like paper mache or something. Then I'm like, oh, that
- 8:58Speaker 5: would involve, like, newspaper.
- 9:00Speaker 7: You're a slacker.
- 9:01Speaker 5: I am a slacker. I could, like, buy one online.
- 9:04Speaker 5: I could have Boyfriend make me one out of metal,
- 9:05Speaker 5: but it would be really fucking heavy.
- 9:07Speaker 7: He would, and it would. It would be like 500 pounds.
- 9:10Speaker 5: He could make me probably a pretty rowdy Thor helmet.
- 9:13Speaker 7: He probably could.
- 9:14Speaker 8: Now you just have to sit it on the shelf.
- 9:16Speaker 8: A reinforced shelf. Why didn't he just make you a hammer?
- 9:20Speaker 5: Because it would be really heavy. Actually, we've discussed this before.
- 9:24Speaker 7: Because you wouldn't be able to pick it up.
- 9:26Speaker 5: No, the main problem was that it has the etching
- 9:28Speaker 5: on it, and he couldn't do that.
- 9:30Speaker 9: Why not?
- 9:31Speaker 5: I don't know. We had this discussion.
- 9:33Speaker 10: It was totally.
- 9:34Speaker 7: I'm sure you have. You're both geeks.
- 9:36Speaker 5: But he wouldn't be able to... He doesn't have the
- 9:38Speaker 5: technique to be able to do the etching that's on it.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Don't we know somebody that does metal etching?
- 9:42Speaker 5: He probably does. I don't know.
- 9:44Speaker 7: I'm sure.
- 9:44Speaker 5: He's giving me a fucking Sharpie. I'll write some shit
- 9:46Speaker 5: on there.
- 9:46Speaker 2: There you go.
- 9:47Speaker 8: Just don't get mixed up and write in Elvish or whatever.
- 9:49Speaker 8: They have crazy writing too. I would write it in
- 9:51Speaker 8: the wrong font.
- 9:52Speaker 7: You can't mix it in your geek fonts.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I would write it in like.
- 9:55Speaker 7: Some Hobbit nerd will call you i'll.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Write it in jaws font or star trek font.
- 9:59Speaker 8: Back to the future font that's a good one speaking
- 10:01Speaker 8: of which thank god i love huey lewis and the
- 10:04Speaker 8: power of love.
- 10:05Speaker 5: I have not been playing it near as often as
- 10:06Speaker 5: i would have hoped and or anticipated.
- 10:08Speaker 8: We're sitting right on the other side and we're separated
- 10:11Speaker 8: by a curtain so we're not really separated From the DeLorean.
- 10:14Speaker 9: Have you touched it yet?
- 10:15Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong.
- 10:16Speaker 8: That's freaking awesome. You can't prove I touched it or
- 10:18Speaker 8: caressed it. But we have the DeLorean back to.
- 10:20Speaker 9: The future machine.
- 10:21Speaker 5: If you give me a nickel, I will touch it.
- 10:22Speaker 9: The tire.
- 10:22Speaker 7: I don't need a nickel.
- 10:24Speaker 8: But yeah, they've also got some sort of video running nonstop.
- 10:26Speaker 8: So we get the audio through the backside here. And
- 10:29Speaker 8: I've heard Power of Love 487 times. And there's also videos.
- 10:33Speaker 8: They do have most of the cast doing it. It's
- 10:36Speaker 8: some sort of charity event for Parkinson's, which is awesome.
- 10:39Speaker 8: But yeah, they have most of the cast. So every
- 10:40Speaker 8: once in a while, I'll hear like, Christopher Lloyd come
- 10:43Speaker 8: through the backside there.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Thank God I have not gotten sick of Power of
- 10:46Speaker 7: Love yet.
- 10:48Speaker 5: Because they're not playing it constantly. I've only heard it
- 10:50Speaker 5: like five or six times today.
- 10:53Speaker 8: But if it were a sucky song, I would get
- 10:55Speaker 8: tired of it by time, too. So thankfully, you know.
- 10:58Speaker 5: At least it's not Katy Perry.
- 11:00Speaker 7: Which they've been playing on the overhead at PA here.
- 11:03Speaker 10: Semisonic.
- 11:04Speaker 7: You just need to roar. Come on.
- 11:05Speaker 6: No.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I will not. I mean, the actual convention's been pretty good, though.
- 11:10Speaker 5: I mean, they have, you know. Like I said, aside
- 11:12Speaker 5: from people slacking on costumes, I mean, it is pretty big.
- 11:15Speaker 13: You know.
- 11:15Speaker 7: There's a lot of stuff going on.
- 11:17Speaker 5: There is a lot of stuff.
- 11:18Speaker 8: Some of them kind of always operate. I mean, the
- 11:21Speaker 8: only other Wizard Royals we've been to were.
- 11:23Speaker 5: The ones in Chicago. As we mentioned it, now they're
- 11:24Speaker 5: playing the song again.
- 11:25Speaker 7: There you go. Power of Love rocking out.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 11:29Speaker 7: The DeLoreans moving. What's going on over there? These DeLoreans
- 11:33Speaker 7: are rocking. Anyway. But yeah, I don't know.
- 11:36Speaker 8: The only other official Wizard World we've been to was
- 11:38Speaker 8: the Chicago one, and that one's just huge because it's
- 11:40Speaker 8: in Chicago. But They do seem like they're doing kind
- 11:43Speaker 8: of the same things. Like they've got it kind of
- 11:45Speaker 8: laid out as best they can. See, Matt Smith must
- 11:47Speaker 8: wear that hat because there's at least three people that
- 11:49Speaker 8: have had, they're all totally different looking, but they're styled
- 11:52Speaker 8: kind of like that hat.
- 11:54Speaker 5: The cowboy hat?
- 11:56Speaker 7: Kind of.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Apparently Brian thinks that Matt Smith can only have one
- 11:59Speaker 5: fucking accessory.
- 12:00Speaker 7: He gets the bow tie. That's his signature thing.
- 12:03Speaker 5: No, he wants a fez and apparently a cowboy hat.
- 12:07Speaker 7: You can have a flyer if you want.
- 12:09Speaker 8: Do you mind if your daughter hears us say fuck
- 12:11Speaker 8: a lot? Because Misty says fuck a lot.
- 12:14Speaker 5: I say all the bad words. I'm going to get
- 12:16Speaker 5: hate mail.
- 12:16Speaker 8: If they were a little younger, I usually would mention that. She's,
- 12:20Speaker 8: I think she can handle it.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Well, she just listens to the newer ones. I won't
- 12:22Speaker 5: be on there and there won't be quite as many profanity,
- 12:25Speaker 5: profanity-laced rants.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Well, that's the thing.
- 12:28Speaker 8: That's why I don't worry about it because the people
- 12:30Speaker 8: that do it a lot of the time now are
- 12:31Speaker 8: the guests. And I'm like, I'm not telling people they can't.
- 12:34Speaker 8: I'm like, it's the whole free speech thing. I'm like,
- 12:37Speaker 8: you know, I don't want to tell people they can
- 12:39Speaker 8: and can't say whatever.
- 12:40Speaker 7: So it's like, You can come on and talk however
- 12:42Speaker 7: you normally talk.
- 12:43Speaker 8: Several of the guests recently have gone in and they
- 12:45Speaker 8: didn't even question. They didn't even ask if it was okay.
- 12:47Speaker 8: They just kind of fired into it and was like,
- 12:49Speaker 8: I don't flinch. I hear it all the time. It
- 12:51Speaker 8: doesn't bother me. So it's like, however you normally talk,
- 12:53Speaker 8: I feel like you should be able to talk.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I'm distracted. There's costumes. A handful of banes going about.
- 13:00Speaker 7: There are still a lot of banes. I would think
- 13:02Speaker 7: by now that would have worn off a little bit.
- 13:04Speaker 7: But there's a lot of banes.
- 13:05Speaker 5: There's a Kaylee. I think he's excited. I've never seen
- 13:09Speaker 5: a Simon before. Holy poopsticks. What's Kaylee?
- 13:13Speaker 7: That's not the way people usually go.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Usually you see a whole bunch of mouths. We've seen
- 13:17Speaker 5: a shit ton of Janes. You know, that hat is
- 13:21Speaker 5: apparently uber popular.
- 13:22Speaker 7: Everybody seems to love the hat.
- 13:23Speaker 5: That's a hat you can walk down the street.
- 13:27Speaker 7: And they don't know you're a geek. You can hide it.
- 13:29Speaker 5: I forget how that saying goes. It's part of the show,
- 13:31Speaker 5: but whatever. I should be geek enough to know, but
- 13:33Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 13:33Speaker 7: You're going to get in trouble now with the Geek Squad.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Power of love is a curious thing. Make one man weep,
- 14:03Speaker 1: make another man sing.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Change a heart, make it a little wider.
- 14:09Speaker 1: More than a feeling, that's the power of love.
- 14:18Speaker 12: Dave, I do not get superheroes.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Oh my God, I don't get you. What don't you get?
- 14:26Speaker 13: Well, the meatbags were going to say that if you're
- 14:28Speaker 13: a geek and like podcasts, then you could try Tower
- 14:31Speaker 13: of Technobabble at www.toweroftechnobabble.com. Then this started. Well, it's up
- 14:40Speaker 13: to you, I'm gonna get my taser and put a
- 14:42Speaker 13: stop to this.
- 14:44Speaker 12: Towerbot out.
- 14:46Speaker 6: Okay, monkeys, it's nap time.
- 14:53Speaker 1: So as I said, we've been to the Chicago Wizard
- 14:58Speaker 1: World before, so they've.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Got quite a few.
- 15:16Speaker 7: Since we're hanging out here.
- 15:17Speaker 2: They've got a lot.
- 15:17Speaker 5: They're like all over the country.
- 15:18Speaker 7: That's what I was going to say.
- 15:19Speaker 8: Since they're inviting us to hang around here, I thought
- 15:22Speaker 8: we would go ahead and give the rundown. That's the
- 15:25Speaker 8: difference with this one is it's not just in one city.
- 15:27Speaker 8: It's something they've done kind of everywhere now. They've sort
- 15:30Speaker 8: of taken over. So you can go to wizardworld.com and
- 15:34Speaker 8: find out where they are in the near future. The
- 15:36Speaker 8: rundown of the upcoming ones.
- 15:39Speaker 7: St.
- 15:39Speaker 8: Louis will be in April. Minneapolis in May. End of
- 15:43Speaker 8: May into June is Atlanta. You've got Philadelphia after that,
- 15:46Speaker 8: San Antonio, back to Chicago, Richmond.
- 15:49Speaker 7: So it's like.
- 15:50Speaker 8: Anywhere in this general part of the country, you know,
- 15:53Speaker 8: the United States.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Are you stopping at Richmond because we've got more to go?
- 15:56Speaker 7: Oh, there's plenty. That's what I'm saying.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Nashville, Austin, Ohio. I thought Ohio was just generalized.
- 16:02Speaker 7: You know, that state.
- 16:03Speaker 8: But anyway, yes, you can go to wizardworld.com and find
- 16:06Speaker 8: out where the next show will.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Be near you. You should definitely go.
- 16:09Speaker 7: Come hang out. That's what we're doing.
- 16:11Speaker 5: I keep getting confused and thinking Christopher Lloyd's actually behind us.
- 16:13Speaker 5: I'm like, where is Christopher Lloyd? He's not over there.
- 16:16Speaker 7: He might be hanging out behind you secretly.
- 16:18Speaker 5: I have that shirt.
- 16:19Speaker 7: Oh, my God. You've said that how many times today?
- 16:21Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 16:22Speaker 5: At least four.
- 16:23Speaker 7: Do you have that hoverboard?
- 16:24Speaker 3: No.
- 16:25Speaker 5: That guy's wearing a Loki Charms shirt. It's Loki Charms.
- 16:28Speaker 7: Get it?
- 16:28Speaker 5: Loki Charms. I dropped my phone. Loki Charms. Did you
- 16:32Speaker 5: see it? It's adorable.
- 16:35Speaker 7: I believe I've seen one. It may have been at
- 16:37Speaker 7: your house. I don't know.
- 16:38Speaker 5: It might have been. I do have a lot of shirts,
- 16:40Speaker 5: and they're all awesome. But, yes, definitely check out wizardworld.com
- 16:45Speaker 5: for all of your wizard world type needs.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Yeah, it does seem to confuse people.
- 16:53Speaker 8: I told somebody this weekend I was coming here, and
- 16:55Speaker 8: they were like, well, you know, wizards and stuff.
- 16:57Speaker 7: I'm like, it's not really.
- 16:58Speaker 8: I mean, I'm not saying there aren't sometimes wizards there,
- 17:00Speaker 8: but it's not kind of like a medieval themed event.
- 17:04Speaker 5: I think I've seen one person wearing a wizard hat.
- 17:06Speaker 7: But he was just walking around in a dorky hat.
- 17:08Speaker 7: He wasn't even in a costume.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Probably.
- 17:09Speaker 5: I've seen more pirates.
- 17:11Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 5: I mean, the most I've seen is the Doctor Who.
- 17:14Speaker 5: I've seen more Fezzes today than I've seen in my
- 17:16Speaker 5: entire fucking life.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Like, ever.
- 17:18Speaker 10: Ever, ever.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Fezzes.
- 17:20Speaker 8: Apparently Fezzes are cool. I think they're making a comeback.
- 17:23Speaker 8: I don't know if they were ever actually there to
- 17:25Speaker 8: make a comeback, but, you know. They're definitely breaking their
- 17:28Speaker 8: way into the, I wouldn't say mainstream.
- 17:30Speaker 5: I just realized Harley Quinn's not here today.
- 17:32Speaker 7: The Geek Fringe.
- 17:35Speaker 5: That's the power of love.
- 17:37Speaker 7: I'm telling you, you can't fight the Huey Lewis.
- 17:39Speaker 5: It's the power of love.
- 17:41Speaker 7: They're so awesome.
- 17:43Speaker 5: You can edit that part out because I can't sing
- 17:45Speaker 5: for shit.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Oh no, that's going in.
- 17:46Speaker 10: I'm giving shit.
- 17:47Speaker 9: I really don't care.
- 17:47Speaker 5: I'll listen to this.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's the power of love.
- 17:53Speaker 11: That's the power of love.
- 17:59Speaker 1: First time you feel it, it might make you sad.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Popcorn, freshly popped and buttered. Mm-hmm. Look good? Sure, it
- 18:09Speaker 2: looks good, and it tastes even better. Get some now.
- 18:17Speaker 8: All right, so I guess tell the people your name.
- 18:22Speaker 9: I'm Kenneth Stevenson with Versa Studios Media, the film production
- 18:26Speaker 9: company based in the Midwest, about to move to Aurora, Illinois,
- 18:30Speaker 9: but right now based in.
- 18:31Speaker 7: Louisville, Kentucky. And what is the film you guys have?
- 18:35Speaker 9: We're here representing the three. It's an extraterrestrial feature film.
- 18:39Speaker 9: A lot of people have sort of asked me, can
- 18:42Speaker 9: I compare it to stuff that's already out there? It's
- 18:45Speaker 9: more of an abduction type film, psychological thriller. If you
- 18:48Speaker 9: were to take Jacob's Ladder and sort of fuse it
- 18:52Speaker 9: with Shyamalan's Signs, you'd get something pretty similar.
- 18:56Speaker 7: Interesting.
- 18:57Speaker 8: So I guess what was your reason for getting into filmmaking?
- 19:02Speaker 7: Were you always sort of interested in it?
- 19:04Speaker 9: I was always really interested in film. Actually, the impetus
- 19:07Speaker 9: that got me in was really E.T., which sounds really
- 19:09Speaker 9: cliche nowadays. Everybody's influenced by Spielberg.
- 19:12Speaker 8: It's funny how much everything kind of falls back to
- 19:14Speaker 8: the same handful of movies. Everybody will ask, it's almost
- 19:17Speaker 8: always Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. It
- 19:22Speaker 8: really was this touchstone of that time period, those set movies,
- 19:27Speaker 8: like really back to the future since I'm listening to
- 19:29Speaker 8: this all day long.
- 19:31Speaker 7: Thank God. I love that song.
- 19:33Speaker 8: So, yeah, I mean, it really is like a handful
- 19:35Speaker 8: of movies from that, like, Lucas Amblin kind of world.
- 19:38Speaker 9: I mean, it's important because there's so many people now
- 19:42Speaker 9: in the market that grew up with that stuff.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 9: You really need to do your due diligence to get away.
- 19:48Speaker 9: I feel like even go back. to the stuff that
- 19:51Speaker 9: inspired them. Otherwise, you're just recycling the same stuff, you know?
- 19:54Speaker 8: I mean, there is a lot of stuff that came
- 19:56Speaker 8: after that that felt like it was piecing it together.
- 19:59Speaker 8: Even so much now that you see directors that are
- 20:01Speaker 8: specifically mimicking it.
- 20:02Speaker 7: Like, you look at, like, the Super 8.
- 20:05Speaker 8: And, like, it really, like, it felt like he was
- 20:08Speaker 8: stealing pieces out of the old movie. He was doing
- 20:10Speaker 8: it well, but, like, it's funny that, like, he even
- 20:12Speaker 8: admits to the fact that, like, this is my Spielberg tribute,
- 20:15Speaker 8: you know?
- 20:15Speaker 9: Well, I mean, and, you know, Spielberg working, I think
- 20:18Speaker 9: that was an Amblin film.
- 20:20Speaker 7: Well, yeah, he was producer on it or executive or something. Like,
- 20:23Speaker 7: Spielberg was involved.
- 20:24Speaker 9: But, you know, I have to admit, Abrams is one of,
- 20:28Speaker 9: is a great, I'm a great fan of Abrams.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 9: Even before he was announced that Star Trek and Star Wars...
- 20:35Speaker 9: We're going to be sort of his new babies, to speak.
- 20:38Speaker 9: But I have to say, for this film in particular,
- 20:41Speaker 9: the three, my co-director, Andrew, who's not here with me
- 20:44Speaker 9: right now, he's in Illinois. Basically, we looked at, you know, E.T.,
- 20:49Speaker 9: Star Wars, that was the stuff we grew up on.
- 20:51Speaker 9: It was our bread and butter. But how can we
- 20:53Speaker 9: sort of go back? So we looked at films like
- 20:55Speaker 9: They Live, The Incredible Shrinking Man, and Invasion of the
- 20:59Speaker 9: Body Snatchers.
- 21:01Speaker 7: Both versions?
- 21:02Speaker 8: There's like four, but there's two kind of... The original
- 21:05Speaker 8: or the 70s?
- 21:06Speaker 9: It was more the latest installment.
- 21:10Speaker 8: Yeah, there's like a 90s one, and then Cole Kidman,
- 21:14Speaker 8: was she in one of those?
- 21:16Speaker 7: I can't remember now. There's at least four different versions
- 21:18Speaker 7: of it. It's interesting.
- 21:19Speaker 9: I didn't know there were more than two, but I
- 21:21Speaker 9: need to go back and look at that myself.
- 21:22Speaker 8: Yeah, there's one in the early 2000s, I think.
- 21:26Speaker 7: It's like the Invasion, I think it was. I think
- 21:29Speaker 7: Abel Ferreira did one. Okay, cool.
- 21:31Speaker 9: When we looked at it, we were like, you know...
- 21:34Speaker 9: Everybody now and their mom is doing aliens from outer space.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 9: I mean, even now, you know, Superman is being much
- 21:40Speaker 9: more explored as an extraterrestrial from.
- 21:42Speaker 7: And he was.
- 21:43Speaker 3: He always was.
- 21:43Speaker 7: Not necessarily in the right way, if you ask me.
- 21:46Speaker 7: But they still made millions of dollars or whatever.
- 21:49Speaker 9: Age of Ultron, all these aliens now. Even so much
- 21:53Speaker 9: of our folklore is coming from outer space and what's
- 21:56Speaker 9: out there. We decided, why don't we kind of explore,
- 21:58Speaker 9: take it back and say, what's already here? Which has
- 22:02Speaker 9: been done. But we... We really have enjoyed the kind
- 22:05Speaker 9: of twisting the mythology, if you will, what aliens were.
- 22:09Speaker 9: You know, our logo, the three refers to the three
- 22:12Speaker 9: types of extraterrestrials that have been claimed exist and abduct people.
- 22:18Speaker 9: So when we did our research, what we found was,
- 22:21Speaker 9: you know, whether or not you actually believe in this stuff,
- 22:23Speaker 9: the fear is pretty real. I mean, they really do
- 22:26Speaker 9: claim that this stuff happens. So we said, you know,
- 22:29Speaker 9: the reptilians, the insectoids, and the greys, most people... they
- 22:33Speaker 9: relate to the grace.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:35Speaker 6: The signs.
- 22:35Speaker 9: That's the cliche one at this point.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 9: But we were excited. We said, can we make a
- 22:40Speaker 9: movie to combine all three of them and to make
- 22:43Speaker 9: this sort of trinity of terror?
- 22:45Speaker 8: That's interesting because, yeah, you don't get the other ones
- 22:48Speaker 8: and I didn't realize how big the, I've recently been
- 22:51Speaker 8: listening to another show that always goes into like the
- 22:53Speaker 8: different types of like conspiracies and weird alien stuff that's
- 22:57Speaker 8: going on and the reptoid thing that's going on of
- 22:59Speaker 8: how much they control the society.
- 23:01Speaker 9: The Illuminati.
- 23:02Speaker 8: I didn't know that was all going on and they
- 23:04Speaker 8: have underground massive areas where they're running everything that goes
- 23:09Speaker 8: on in the country and I'm like, really?
- 23:11Speaker 3: Alright.
- 23:12Speaker 7: I had no idea a lot of that stuff was
- 23:13Speaker 7: going on.
- 23:14Speaker 9: The conspiracy theorists with that, I think you're referring to
- 23:17Speaker 9: the Nordics, the shapeshifter Illuminati. It's amazing to see the
- 23:23Speaker 9: types of The people really do believe that, for example,
- 23:26Speaker 9: George Bush was an alien.
- 23:29Speaker 7: It would explain some of his ridiculous behavior.
- 23:31Speaker 8: I'm not talking politically, just like when he'd fall down
- 23:34Speaker 8: or dance or whatever he was doing.
- 23:35Speaker 7: He was always doing crazy nonsense.
- 23:39Speaker 9: We're really excited because I'd love to give you the
- 23:41Speaker 9: elevator pitch of what the story is.
- 23:45Speaker 7: All right, go for it.
- 23:46Speaker 9: Because right now we're in talks with Lou Temple from
- 23:48Speaker 9: The Walking Dead. For those of... I'm sure you remember, Lou,
- 23:52Speaker 9: he played Axel. He was the prisoner that got shot
- 23:55Speaker 9: by the governor.
- 23:56Speaker 8: It doesn't turn out for most people on The Walking
- 23:58Speaker 8: Dead well. You can't say, oh, the one that got
- 24:00Speaker 8: killed real fast.
- 24:01Speaker 7: Almost all of them.
- 24:02Speaker 9: Him and Rob Prago from Vampire Diaries, Army Wives. The
- 24:08Speaker 9: elevator pitch is this. Brian LaRue is coming back from
- 24:11Speaker 9: the war in Afghanistan.
- 24:13Speaker 7: And he has.
- 24:14Speaker 9: suffered a convoy ambush and took a shot to the
- 24:18Speaker 9: head and is coming back with PTSD. So right now
- 24:22Speaker 9: we're already setting up a psychological type film. Guy obviously
- 24:26Speaker 9: is trying to put his life back together with the
- 24:29Speaker 9: help of his childhood friend Harrison Carton, who was his
- 24:31Speaker 9: buddy in the war, and his love interest, Julie. The
- 24:35Speaker 9: issue comes when his father, who he's trying to take
- 24:39Speaker 9: care of back at the house, is being visited in
- 24:42Speaker 9: the middle of the night by these things, and he's
- 24:44Speaker 9: being taken. Of course, nobody believes Brian because of his condition,
- 24:49Speaker 9: and they're already trying to take his father, Ralph, from him,
- 24:52Speaker 9: who's in the latter forms of dementia. So the story
- 24:55Speaker 9: really revolves around Brian trying to save his dad at
- 24:59Speaker 9: all costs, and it's a different... It's not a gory film.
- 25:03Speaker 9: It's not a... If you're looking for that kind of
- 25:06Speaker 9: gore and guts, this is more of a psychological thriller
- 25:11Speaker 9: that really does deal with mental illness. And we're excited
- 25:14Speaker 9: about that.
- 25:15Speaker 12: That's cool.
- 25:15Speaker 9: Because right now, I mean, that's a hot issue that
- 25:18Speaker 9: is only going to continue to blow up.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 9: So really excited. Great locations. We're going to be filming
- 25:24Speaker 9: at a commune in Summertown, Tennessee.
- 25:27Speaker 7: Don't get sucked in.
- 25:28Speaker 6: No, we won't.
- 25:29Speaker 7: We won't.
- 25:30Speaker 9: This summer, we're shooting The Proof of Concept. We're about
- 25:33Speaker 9: to release another Indiegogo campaign. We raised about $ 6, 000 in
- 25:36Speaker 9: 25 days this past month. Probably by the end of April,
- 25:44Speaker 9: we need to raise another $ 13, 000. So the total budget
- 25:48Speaker 9: is $ 150, 000. It's very, very possible. Very excited. And we
- 25:54Speaker 9: love Louisville. We look forward to bringing film to Louisville.
- 25:58Speaker 8: We've got a lot of cool stuff going on, but
- 26:00Speaker 8: we just need to get a good way to get
- 26:01Speaker 8: it out to people.
- 26:03Speaker 7: I'm trying to help do that, but people are fighting.
- 26:06Speaker 9: We appreciate people like you and everything you do. There
- 26:10Speaker 9: are talented people here. We went around and I talked
- 26:14Speaker 9: to a couple of investors here in town that And
- 26:17Speaker 9: people that are really adamant about helping people. It's just
- 26:21Speaker 9: I think we need to get to the point to
- 26:24Speaker 9: make people understand Louisville has the tax incentives here. We
- 26:28Speaker 9: have the beginnings of an infrastructure. Yes, New Orleans has it. Yes,
- 26:32Speaker 9: the Carolinas in Ohio have it. But look, we have
- 26:36Speaker 9: a crazy city here that is willing to go out
- 26:39Speaker 9: on a limb for its artists. We should embrace that.
- 26:42Speaker 7: We definitely need to find a way to tap into
- 26:44Speaker 7: that and use it. to the filmmaker's and artist's advantage.
- 26:49Speaker 9: Absolutely.
- 26:50Speaker 7: But we'll see how that goes.
- 26:52Speaker 10: Absolutely.
- 26:52Speaker 8: Well, okay, the other thing we usually do, I'll throw
- 26:54Speaker 8: it out there to you, we have art geek activities
- 26:57Speaker 8: of what we've been doing or watching. So have you
- 27:00Speaker 8: seen any good movies lately or any other activities not
- 27:03Speaker 8: related to your crazy wizard world goings-on?
- 27:06Speaker 9: Movies in general?
- 27:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 9: I did this past week, I went to Baxter and
- 27:11Speaker 9: I sat down with my wife and we watched Divergent.
- 27:15Speaker 9: which was interesting. I hadn't read the books. I came
- 27:17Speaker 9: in skeptical because I didn't really think the marketing plan
- 27:20Speaker 9: was that.
- 27:22Speaker 8: It just feels like here's another one of those books
- 27:24Speaker 8: that they're turning into movies. They've been doing that ever
- 27:26Speaker 8: since Twilight made money. They're just like, we need another one. Hey,
- 27:29Speaker 8: Hunger Games, we need another one. The Ender's Game, you
- 27:31Speaker 8: name it.
- 27:32Speaker 9: But do you know what I really find interesting, really
- 27:34Speaker 9: tangent off all this, is my first feature film that
- 27:38Speaker 9: was shot in Louisville was called Cherry Point. And it
- 27:41Speaker 9: was a government dystopian film. It came out probably about
- 27:45Speaker 9: two years ago. And we premiered it in the exact
- 27:48Speaker 9: theater in the same room that we watched Divergent in.
- 27:51Speaker 9: We made that film for $ 30, 000. And watching the difference
- 27:56Speaker 9: between an independent film and a studio-backed film was very surreal.
- 28:01Speaker 9: It was incredible. It was really neat. And I have
- 28:03Speaker 9: to say that I was pleasantly surprised by Divergent. I'm
- 28:09Speaker 9: very excited to see how Chicago embraces indie film coming forward.
- 28:14Speaker 9: But you can tell there was a lot of union
- 28:18Speaker 9: influence on that film.
- 28:20Speaker 8: It's a whole different world, really. What little I've seen
- 28:23Speaker 8: of both of them from that angle. It's just a
- 28:27Speaker 8: different process, a different way that you go about each
- 28:29Speaker 8: and every step. It's like 180 degrees from indie to
- 28:33Speaker 8: super mainstream studio film.
- 28:34Speaker 9: Speaking of that, what do you think about this Noah deal?
- 28:37Speaker 9: Are you going to see Noah?
- 28:39Speaker 7: Aronofsky is very talented.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:43Speaker 8: It's a weird angle for him. It seems like it's
- 28:46Speaker 8: almost doing it so straight. I'm like, is he going
- 28:49Speaker 8: for the Passion of the Christ crowd?
- 28:50Speaker 9: You know I really don't think so I don't think
- 28:52Speaker 9: so but it's a weird choice for him if he's
- 28:54Speaker 9: not super religious like that's so like yes it's just
- 28:58Speaker 9: a story you can tell it but to me it
- 29:00Speaker 9: is only going to appeal a lot to the super
- 29:04Speaker 9: you know religious people so you're going to be working
- 29:06Speaker 9: like twice as hard to pull in the skeptics which
- 29:08Speaker 9: is going to be a lot of people out there
- 29:10Speaker 9: I think that I think this I think he is
- 29:13Speaker 9: a indie filmmaker they got a chance obviously with Black
- 29:16Speaker 9: Swan everybody wanted to give him a chance everybody said
- 29:19Speaker 9: look this kid could do something And they threw a
- 29:21Speaker 9: bunch of money at him. But here's my thing. I
- 29:24Speaker 9: don't think he ever intended to go into this and,
- 29:28Speaker 9: you know, pull in both audiences, the secular and non.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 9: I look at and the wall I've been reading and
- 29:34Speaker 9: I can't wait to see it, by the way. I'm
- 29:37Speaker 9: not a radical. I'm not a conservative when it comes to.
- 29:40Speaker 9: a radical conservative that is but I have to say
- 29:43Speaker 9: that there's a there's apparently a ton of gray lines
- 29:47Speaker 9: that he took liberties with that kind of pulling his
- 29:49Speaker 9: roots from the fountain and that kind of stuff I'm
- 29:53Speaker 9: very looking forward to seeing his interpretations because it looks
- 29:56Speaker 9: more like a sci-fi really It does, and.
- 29:59Speaker 8: It looks like, again, when you've got that much money,
- 30:01Speaker 8: the visual effects look pretty impressive, so I would hope
- 30:04Speaker 8: so at that level, but I just can't wait to
- 30:07Speaker 8: see him pack some dinosaurs on that boat. I really
- 30:10Speaker 8: hope it's like a brontosaurus being shoved.
- 30:12Speaker 9: In there at some point. Well, apparently there's some large
- 30:14Speaker 9: rock demons, the Nephilim from.
- 30:18Speaker 7: At least go.
- 30:18Speaker 8: The far side route and have them standing on the
- 30:20Speaker 8: edge of the shore there as the water is rising.
- 30:23Speaker 7: Was that today? Damn it. I forgot to write that
- 30:25Speaker 7: on the calendar. I really kind of want that to
- 30:27Speaker 7: go on.
- 30:28Speaker 9: But other than that, movie-wise, you know, I do need
- 30:32Speaker 9: to catch up. There are a lot of things that
- 30:33Speaker 9: I missed out on this past awards season that I'm
- 30:37Speaker 9: interested in seeing. I very much am. I want to
- 30:40Speaker 9: see American Hustle. I want to see what all the
- 30:43Speaker 9: commotion is about, if it's worth it. Wolf on Wall Street,
- 30:46Speaker 9: I'd like to.
- 30:47Speaker 8: I hear pretty good things about most of the stuff
- 30:49Speaker 8: that ended up there.
- 30:50Speaker 7: There wasn't anything people were like, oh, how did that
- 30:52Speaker 7: get nominated?
- 30:53Speaker 8: Most of it, even if everybody loved it, they all
- 30:56Speaker 8: had pretty good.
- 30:57Speaker 7: Stuff involved in them.
- 31:01Speaker 9: I think it's a very positive time to be an
- 31:04Speaker 9: indie film, but it's a very difficult time. It's very oversaturated.
- 31:09Speaker 9: You've got to stand out. But then again, I say that,
- 31:12Speaker 9: and then I look at Lionsgate is right across from
- 31:15Speaker 9: us right now promoting The Quiet Ones.
- 31:19Speaker 7: Which I saw the poster they were giving away, and
- 31:21Speaker 7: I'm not even sure what it is.
- 31:23Speaker 9: Well, I can tell you what it is because I've seen...
- 31:26Speaker 9: Is it like those other trailers that we've seen? There's
- 31:28Speaker 9: a trailer that came out a couple days ago, and
- 31:31Speaker 9: I watched it. And I have to be really honest.
- 31:33Speaker 9: It looks like another typical Weinstein production where you've got
- 31:38Speaker 9: a demented or possessed girl in an old house... And
- 31:42Speaker 9: we need to do everything we can to figure out
- 31:44Speaker 9: what the hell is wrong with it.
- 31:45Speaker 8: Okay, I think I did see that trailer, and I
- 31:47Speaker 8: didn't even... Again, I'm so numb to them now, I
- 31:48Speaker 8: don't think I knew that was the title of it.
- 31:50Speaker 8: Because I saw the poster today and went, what is that?
- 31:52Speaker 8: And I think I've seen that trailer. And I went, oh,
- 31:54Speaker 8: it's that new one of those.
- 31:56Speaker 7: So, yeah, you're right. It is just something they're doing now.
- 31:59Speaker 8: And I guess you can't blame them, because how much
- 32:01Speaker 8: money are those things? Like, every one of them still. Like,
- 32:03Speaker 8: you'd think by now everybody would be sick of it. But, like,
- 32:06Speaker 8: the next one will come out and it'll break some
- 32:08Speaker 8: new records. And I'm just like, that's... ridiculous like people
- 32:11Speaker 8: were that easily duped it's.
- 32:13Speaker 9: A little mind-boggling in the sense that you know I'm
- 32:15Speaker 9: here with I've been to about three to four conventions
- 32:18Speaker 9: this season with some close friends and promote look Thor's
- 32:21Speaker 9: walking that's awesome don't tell Misty.
- 32:23Speaker 7: She'll want to take a picture with her oh wait
- 32:25Speaker 7: I think she already.
- 32:26Speaker 9: Got that one but I see these guys they show
- 32:29Speaker 9: up with these big distribution companies and I have nothing
- 32:32Speaker 9: wrong with I mean film is film I love it
- 32:34Speaker 9: all but man there's got to be hope for novel
- 32:37Speaker 9: ideas out there because we've seen the same stuff You've
- 32:40Speaker 9: got to hope that people want new stuff, man.
- 32:42Speaker 8: I mean, film just seems like it goes through that
- 32:44Speaker 8: wave of what's popular, and you'll see a decade where
- 32:47Speaker 8: you'll just kind of see them rehash that idea 10,
- 32:49Speaker 8: 12 times, and then something new will take off, and
- 32:52Speaker 8: something else will be different and a big hit, and
- 32:54Speaker 8: they'll be like, oh, that's what we need to do.
- 32:56Speaker 7: So I don't know. It seems like it goes through
- 32:58Speaker 7: those cycles.
- 32:59Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, it's interesting you said that too. I mean,
- 33:02Speaker 9: I feel like we're coming out of the zombie phase.
- 33:05Speaker 9: I hope we come out of the zombie phase.
- 33:06Speaker 8: I hear enough people bitching about Walking Dead now that
- 33:08Speaker 8: I assume that means we're on the way out.
- 33:10Speaker 9: But that being said, I feel like we're now, The
- 33:13Speaker 9: Walking Dead has opened up these opportunities for, for example,
- 33:17Speaker 9: The Strain from Guillermo del Toro. We're about to see,
- 33:19Speaker 9: I think that's a vampire show. But it's not like
- 33:22Speaker 9: vampires we've seen before. It's not sparkly. We're not going
- 33:26Speaker 9: to go over the board. I think Doug Jones is
- 33:29Speaker 9: part of that.
- 33:29Speaker 12: Nice.
- 33:31Speaker 9: So I think it's going to be really interesting to see.
- 33:34Speaker 9: Let's wear the vampire thing off. And then hopefully we
- 33:39Speaker 9: go back to aliens or something.
- 33:40Speaker 7: You know aliens have to come back around again.
- 33:43Speaker 9: I hope so.
- 33:45Speaker 8: Well, I guess tell people where to find you if
- 33:46Speaker 8: they want to be involved in either helping you put
- 33:49Speaker 8: the movie together or just interested to find out about
- 33:51Speaker 8: it somewhere down the line.
- 33:53Speaker 9: Absolutely. My name's Kenneth Stevenson. If you go to our website, versastudios.net,

- 34:40Speaker 14: Power love that keeps you home at night.
- 34:44Speaker 11: Don't take money.
- 34:46Speaker 16: Don't need fame. You don't need no credit card to
- 34:49Speaker 16: ride this train.
- 34:51Speaker 7: Hey, Misty, do you have your earbuds strapped in?
- 34:53Speaker 5: I do not.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Well, that's probably.
- 34:54Speaker 8: Because you didn't go to tweakedaudio.com and get your tweaked
- 34:58Speaker 8: audio earbuds because they're awesome.
- 35:00Speaker 5: I don't like things in my ears.
- 35:02Speaker 7: You're the worst pitch person ever.
- 35:05Speaker 5: I am.
- 35:06Speaker 7: I have mine. They're awesome. They're the wood ones.
- 35:08Speaker 9: They're deluxe.
- 35:09Speaker 7: Look at this shit. That's hardwood.
- 35:11Speaker 5: I guess if I were to shove any implement in
- 35:14Speaker 5: my ear, it would be those.
- 35:15Speaker 8: We don't recommend you shove anything else in your ear.
- 35:17Speaker 7: That's kind of why we were hooked up with Tweaked Audio.
- 35:19Speaker 8: It's the only thing we recommend you shove in your
- 35:21Speaker 8: ear for medical purposes, really. If you damage your eardrum,
- 35:25Speaker 8: you're doing it wrong, and we take no responsibility.
- 35:27Speaker 5: Stop when you hit pressure.
- 35:29Speaker 8: You should only use Tweaked Audio. And when you do,
- 35:32Speaker 8: you go to their website. You go to pay for it.
- 35:34Speaker 8: You put in your code MELTDOWN. You'll get a discount
- 35:38Speaker 8: and free shipping.
- 35:39Speaker 9: It's awesome.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Is it better than 5% discount?
- 35:41Speaker 8: Not that 5% discount that you were looking at in
- 35:43Speaker 8: that catalog there.
- 35:43Speaker 5: No, the discount you will be getting from Tweaked Audio
- 35:46Speaker 5: will be a hell of a lot better than the 5%.
- 35:47Speaker 5: It's a third off. You get a third off. A third,
- 35:49Speaker 5: holy shit. If I had math, that would be awesome.
- 35:52Speaker 7: And free shipping.
- 35:54Speaker 5: Fucking A. You can't beat that.
- 35:55Speaker 7: And they're super fast.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Not with a stick.
- 35:57Speaker 8: I just went and got me some more, and it
- 35:59Speaker 8: was like a day, and they were there. They were
- 36:00Speaker 8: like lightning fast. Like the lightning on that girl's boobs
- 36:03Speaker 8: over there.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Lightning move fast.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Lightning move fast. You're welcome, Tweaked Audio. You can put
- 36:11Speaker 7: that on your envelopes. And thank you. You're welcome.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Faster than a geek size to lightning boobs.
- 36:20Speaker 7: You're welcome.
- 36:22Speaker 5: They're not going to like me promoting their item, are they?
- 36:24Speaker 7: Actually, they have a pretty good sense of humor. Tweaked
- 36:27Speaker 7: Audio is kind of awesome.
- 36:28Speaker 5: There's not been quite as much geek cleavage. I can't even.
- 36:33Speaker 8: There was a little earlier, and I'm concerned. And this
- 36:36Speaker 8: is a question I want to ask. Can cleavage look sickly?
- 36:41Speaker 5: Like pale? I don't even know how to explain it.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Is it sad?
- 36:47Speaker 7: Kind of. And there was a lot of it. But
- 36:50Speaker 7: I was just like, are you okay?
- 36:52Speaker 5: Does it look anemic?
- 36:53Speaker 7: I kind of feel like a trip to the emergency
- 36:55Speaker 7: room or something. I'm like, are you okay? Something doesn't
- 36:57Speaker 7: look right.
- 36:57Speaker 5: Is there bleeding involved?
- 36:59Speaker 7: No, it was just sad, and I don't get it, but.
- 37:02Speaker 5: People are looking at her stuff. Because you can't fight
- 37:05Speaker 5: Jennifer Lawrence.
- 37:06Speaker 7: You can't. She's all powerful.
- 37:09Speaker 5: And adorable.
- 37:11Speaker 7: And messy with mints.
- 37:13Speaker 5: If I ever saw Jennifer Lawrence, I would ask her
- 37:15Speaker 5: for a mint just to see what her reaction would be.
- 37:18Speaker 7: She'd probably go, huh? What's wrong with you?
- 37:21Speaker 5: She'd be really nice. She'd be like, oh, hold on.
- 37:23Speaker 5: Let me get one for you.
- 37:25Speaker 7: She probably would. And then they would explode.
- 37:27Speaker 5: And I would be like, ha, ha, ha. My evil
- 37:29Speaker 5: plan worked.
- 37:30Speaker 6: You are evil. You are evil.
- 37:33Speaker 5: I'm sad that they put, like, a sheet around the
- 37:35Speaker 5: General Lee, so you cannot get a good picture with it.
- 37:38Speaker 7: It is impressive. Like, as soon as I got here
- 37:40Speaker 7: to set up the old table, I was just like, oh,
- 37:42Speaker 7: my God. We're not just in the general vicinity of.
- 37:45Speaker 7: We are directly across from the General Lee. The General Lee.
- 37:48Speaker 5: Fucking A. And I was so excited. I'm like, I
- 37:50Speaker 5: can get a picture of my Bo Duke tattoo with
- 37:52Speaker 5: the General Lee. But they have this curtain up that
- 37:55Speaker 5: makes it kind of hard to do such a thing.
- 37:56Speaker 7: You can have, like, a close-up. It'll just be him
- 37:58Speaker 7: next to Orange.
- 37:58Speaker 5: Can I stand on the bar table?
- 38:01Speaker 7: You can try. That would involve balance. Is your balance
- 38:04Speaker 7: that good?
- 38:04Speaker 5: I suck at that.
- 38:05Speaker 7: You are going to fall right on the flag.
- 38:06Speaker 5: I have a boyfriend hold my ankles for me.
- 38:07Speaker 12: My legs.
- 38:08Speaker 7: You're going to fall right on the non-PC flag.
- 38:12Speaker 5: I'm telling you, we could just like tawny contain that shit.
- 38:17Speaker 7: Would you please? Because I'd like to get a video
- 38:18Speaker 7: of that. We will fire up the old YouTube channel.
- 38:21Speaker 5: And then security will haul me out of here.
- 38:24Speaker 7: They will, but it'll be worth having the video.
- 38:27Speaker 5: That 14-year-old security or volunteer... He's going to try to
- 38:31Speaker 5: come flail at me.
- 38:32Speaker 7: He probably will.
- 38:50Speaker 11: What were they doing there?
- 38:52Speaker 17: They're straightening their curves, their curves.
- 38:56Speaker 8: They're flattening their heads, flattening their limbs.
- 38:59Speaker 14: Well, someday the mountain honey get them up along every wind.
- 39:04Speaker 14: Making their way the only way they know how.
- 39:15Speaker 11: That's just a little bit more.
- 39:17Speaker 7: Than the Lord allowed.
- 39:19Speaker 17: They wouldn't change if they could.
- 39:26Speaker 14: They're fighting the system like a two modern day Robin.
- 39:34Speaker 8: Hood Hi, I'm Leah Thompson.
- 39:51Speaker 5: You're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 39:58Speaker 7: So, it's been how?
- 40:00Speaker 15: It's been good. It's been good. It's been a good con.
- 40:05Speaker 15: It's a good first Wizard World Louisville.
- 40:08Speaker 7: Excited.
- 40:08Speaker 10: Hope it comes back next year.
- 40:10Speaker 8: We are talking to Evan, who you will remember if
- 40:13Speaker 8: you've been loitering around on the old Meltdown here, and
- 40:15Speaker 8: you would have heard the graphic novels to movies episode.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Yes, yes.
- 40:19Speaker 15: So, yes, I'm here with the destination. This is our
- 40:22Speaker 15: second con in two weeks, so we're a bit exhausted.
- 40:26Speaker 7: I think I've hit one every weekend, some event somewhere.
- 40:29Speaker 8: So you're saying I shouldn't be talking at all? I'm
- 40:33Speaker 8: surprised I can, actually. Last week I talked so much,
- 40:35Speaker 8: and I'm used to not talking to anybody. So I'm
- 40:37Speaker 8: just like, these intense weekends, I'm like, I can't handle
- 40:41Speaker 8: all this conversation.
- 40:42Speaker 15: Yeah, you've got to ramp it up. I feel like
- 40:43Speaker 15: I use car sales when my voice is gone.
- 40:46Speaker 7: I'm exhausted.
- 40:47Speaker 10: I just want to go home and sleep for days.
- 40:49Speaker 10: But it's been fun.
- 40:50Speaker 6: It's been fun.
- 40:51Speaker 10: You can't complain. I'm in my element. You know, it's
- 40:54Speaker 10: a Comic-Con.
- 40:54Speaker 7: This is a geek festival if ever there was one.
- 40:57Speaker 6: Yes, yes.
- 40:58Speaker 10: You run into people like Jon Barenthal from Walking Dead.
- 41:00Speaker 10: Stop by our booth. Just randomly looking at My Little Ponies.
- 41:03Speaker 8: I saw him wander by on mine there. He just
- 41:06Speaker 8: sort of headed on through. But little did I know
- 41:08Speaker 8: he liked My Little Ponies.
- 41:09Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:09Speaker 10: He stopped to take a peek.
- 41:11Speaker 15: Then people recognized him and started trying to snap pictures
- 41:13Speaker 15: and he bolted, which is a standard reaction from a.
- 41:16Speaker 8: celebrities yeah I just had Sean Astin give me a
- 41:19Speaker 8: he gave me like the finger point hey you know
- 41:21Speaker 8: he gave me one.
- 41:22Speaker 7: Of those I was pretty happy.
- 41:23Speaker 10: With that well goodies never say die so.
- 41:25Speaker 8: My question is okay which pony was John leaning towards
- 41:29Speaker 8: I don't know he was.
- 41:29Speaker 15: Leaning down so we have him pinky pie I'm gonna
- 41:31Speaker 15: say he might be a pinky pie person I think
- 41:34Speaker 15: that's about right actually yeah based on his work he
- 41:37Speaker 15: seemed pinky pie based on Laurie oh yeah yeah just
- 41:43Speaker 15: zombie killing you want you have it easy he was
- 41:45Speaker 15: a softie all along.
- 41:46Speaker 7: That might very well be true.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:49Speaker 8: I've been trying to do the geek activities with other people.
- 41:52Speaker 8: Have you seen any movies lately?
- 41:54Speaker 15: You know, I'm trying to, no, yes, yes, sorry, take
- 41:56Speaker 15: that back. I've been out of movies for so long,
- 41:59Speaker 15: I don't know why, but Lego Movie actually went and
- 42:01Speaker 15: saw it.
- 42:01Speaker 10: It's very heartwarming, very good message.
- 42:03Speaker 7: I've heard good things.
- 42:04Speaker 15: Yeah, I mean, it's one, I tell you, I really
- 42:07Speaker 15: like the Toy Story and whatnot. I didn't feel as
- 42:09Speaker 15: deeply involved as Toy Story because it's a trilogy, so
- 42:12Speaker 15: to speak, as they do it nowadays, but yeah.
- 42:14Speaker 10: But no, no, no, Lego Movie, go see it. It's fun.
- 42:17Speaker 10: It's a lighthearted film.
- 42:19Speaker 15: I'm not going to say anything, but it's a very
- 42:21Speaker 15: interesting ending, very good. I felt it grew up with
- 42:23Speaker 15: its audience, so I liked it. It hit on many levels.
- 42:40Speaker 7: Guess who else we talked to.
- 42:42Speaker 10: Who else?
- 42:43Speaker 7: We also talked to Robert Hayes while we were here. Oh, yeah? Yeah.
- 42:47Speaker 7: He's kind of awesome.
- 42:49Speaker 8: I kind of had a feeling he was going to
- 42:51Speaker 8: be pretty cool, but I was shocked just how very
- 42:55Speaker 8: personable and accessible he was. Everybody he talked to, he
- 42:59Speaker 8: was really very cool with, and he was hugging people
- 43:03Speaker 8: all the time.
- 43:04Speaker 7: He was really cool, and I was.
- 43:07Speaker 8: By the end there, actually, I didn't even ask. He
- 43:09Speaker 8: just went into a little personal fact, and it's kind
- 43:11Speaker 8: of interesting. I have to say, finding out about his
- 43:14Speaker 8: personal life was probably my favorite part of this.
- 43:17Speaker 7: So let's go talk to Robert right now. We're here
- 43:42Speaker 7: with Robert Hayes.
- 43:44Speaker 8: I guess I usually kind of like to start at
- 43:45Speaker 8: the beginning. As a kid, were you interested in film
- 43:48Speaker 8: or just as a performer?
- 43:53Speaker 7: Boy, as a kid.
- 43:55Speaker 6: My dad was in the Marine Corps and we, just
- 43:58Speaker 6: like Marine families, get up at three or four in
- 44:01Speaker 6: the morning, pack up the station wagon and There were
- 44:04Speaker 6: four of us. I have a sister, so there were
- 44:05Speaker 6: four of us. And we'd head across country. I've been
- 44:07Speaker 6: across country 15 times by car growing up. And a
- 44:12Speaker 6: lot more since then, but just by car growing up. So,
- 44:16Speaker 6: you know, your imagination. When you're driving for days and days,
- 44:20Speaker 6: your imagination just kind of gets carried away. So I
- 44:24Speaker 6: was always goofing around like that. And then with accents, playing.
- 44:28Speaker 2: So.
- 44:30Speaker 6: When I stumbled into this, which was in college, because
- 44:33Speaker 6: I was a transfer student and that was the only
- 44:35Speaker 6: thing available was the acting class, beginning acting. So I
- 44:38Speaker 6: took it just so I could get in the school.
- 44:40Speaker 6: I had so much fun. And I started crashing all
- 44:43Speaker 6: the other theater set design, set construction and makeup and
- 44:47Speaker 6: history of the theater and lighting design and screenwriting and
- 44:51Speaker 6: playwriting and all of that stuff. And I just fell
- 44:55Speaker 6: in love with it, which is what you have to
- 44:58Speaker 6: do if you're going to be in this business. You
- 45:00Speaker 6: have to be obsessed with it. And that's how it
- 45:04Speaker 6: all kind of came about.
- 45:05Speaker 7: I mean, at that point, we're kind of exploring everything.
- 45:08Speaker 8: Did you feel a little more drawn toward comedy?
- 45:12Speaker 6: I was very shy growing up, and as is the
- 45:17Speaker 6: case with shy people so often, especially when you're always,
- 45:21Speaker 6: you know, every year and a half, two years, you're
- 45:24Speaker 6: transferred to another school, another school, another... I mean, far away.
- 45:28Speaker 6: It's not like you've got friends that are also going
- 45:29Speaker 6: to that school. So being that shy, you wind up
- 45:33Speaker 6: being the class clown. And so that's kind of what happened.
- 45:36Speaker 6: I kind of developed into a twisted goofball.
- 45:42Speaker 8: Well, before we get to Airplane, that same year you
- 45:45Speaker 8: did The Girl with the Gold Watch and Everything, which
- 45:48Speaker 8: as a kid I found some sort of weird fascination
- 45:50Speaker 8: with that.
- 45:52Speaker 6: I still am fascinated with that one. I love that
- 45:54Speaker 6: one because... Just imagine having a watch that stopped time.
- 45:58Speaker 6: I mean, please. That was great. To me, that was
- 46:01Speaker 6: so great.
- 46:02Speaker 8: How did that one come about for you?
- 46:04Speaker 6: Well, it was just, you know, they wanted to do
- 46:08Speaker 6: that show. By that time, gosh, do.
- 46:12Speaker 10: You remember what year that was?
- 46:13Speaker 7: I think it was 80.
- 46:14Speaker 8: I think it was right about the same. Because then
- 46:17Speaker 8: there was the sequel-ish kind of thing.
- 46:21Speaker 6: So at that point, because... That's when Airplane was my
- 46:25Speaker 6: first feature film, and I'd been doing television. But that
- 46:28Speaker 6: is when I started having heat. So they would send
- 46:32Speaker 6: me scripts and want me to do it, and that
- 46:33Speaker 6: was one that they wanted me to do. And Muriel
- 46:35Speaker 6: Schreibman was the producer, and he was great fun. He
- 46:40Speaker 6: was just delightful. And so that's how I wound up
- 46:44Speaker 6: doing that with Pam Dauber.
- 46:46Speaker 7: I was going to say Pam Dauber.
- 46:47Speaker 6: She's so cute, and she was so sweet. She was really,
- 46:50Speaker 6: really terrific.
- 46:51Speaker 7: All of America had a crush on her at that point.
- 46:53Speaker 6: How could they not? Oh, my gosh. And Jill Ireland
- 47:01Speaker 6: and Charles Bronson was on the set sometimes. He was intimidating,
- 47:05Speaker 6: but still, he was so nice. He was great. I
- 47:08Speaker 6: really liked him a lot. So I had a great
- 47:12Speaker 6: time with that. I hadn't really been thinking about that one,
- 47:15Speaker 6: but that's sort of a... would fit in with this
- 47:18Speaker 6: wouldn't it.
- 47:19Speaker 8: I mean and I've seen movies try to sort of
- 47:22Speaker 8: take that plot before I've seen one or two since
- 47:24Speaker 8: then that did it.
- 47:26Speaker 6: Girl the Gold Watch and everything but then there.
- 47:27Speaker 7: Was the Girl the Gold Watch Dynamite.
- 47:29Speaker 6: Dynamite that's right I remember that one too I didn't
- 47:32Speaker 6: even know I hadn't even heard of anything about that
- 47:34Speaker 6: one I just know that I thought gosh this would
- 47:37Speaker 6: make a great series I wish we could do this
- 47:39Speaker 6: as a series and I think they tried to do
- 47:42Speaker 6: that but they were doing it with somebody else they
- 47:44Speaker 6: probably thought I was too expensive by then Nobody even
- 47:47Speaker 6: asked me.
- 47:47Speaker 7: Yeah, that point.
- 47:49Speaker 6: I was hurt.
- 47:51Speaker 8: Well, then, I guess as you got Airplane, I mean,
- 47:54Speaker 8: I guess at some point you just got the script.
- 47:56Speaker 7: Did it read? Like, as you're reading it, do you
- 47:58Speaker 7: get what became Airplane?
- 48:01Speaker 6: Every page. And I read it on an airplane flying
- 48:05Speaker 6: to Minneapolis for an ABC event. And I'm not exaggerating
- 48:11Speaker 6: when I say that every single page had... something that
- 48:15Speaker 6: made me laugh out loud.
- 48:18Speaker 7: Every minute, basically.
- 48:19Speaker 6: And then we got back after that weekend, and then
- 48:22Speaker 6: the following week is when I went in and I
- 48:24Speaker 6: met with the guys and read for them and then
- 48:27Speaker 6: did a screen test with Julie, and then they cast
- 48:30Speaker 6: both of us, and so it was just great. That
- 48:33Speaker 6: was like winning the lotto. In this business, in my career,
- 48:35Speaker 6: that was like the lotto for me. The lottery, yeah.
- 48:38Speaker 8: And where did that, brand of comedy. I felt like
- 48:41Speaker 8: it almost redefined comedy, and definitely for a whole generation.
- 48:45Speaker 8: I feel like they sort of found their sense of
- 48:46Speaker 8: humor in that movie.
- 48:48Speaker 6: Well, that was all Jerry and David Zucker and Jim Abrams.
- 48:53Speaker 6: And they were born and raised in Milwaukee. They grew
- 48:57Speaker 6: up together. And then they went to, even though they're
- 49:00Speaker 6: a couple years age-wise, a couple years difference, but they
- 49:03Speaker 6: then all went to Madison, to University of Wisconsin, there.
- 49:08Speaker 6: And it was at Madison where they started doing these
- 49:12Speaker 6: comedy little short videos and goofy things that became the
- 49:17Speaker 6: seeds of what became Kentucky Fried Theater. And then when
- 49:20Speaker 6: they moved to L.A., they started the Kentucky Fried Theater,
- 49:23Speaker 6: which became real, had a cult following. It was huge.
- 49:28Speaker 6: And then they did Kentucky Fried Movie, and then their
- 49:31Speaker 6: second one was Airplane. So I was that same kind
- 49:35Speaker 6: of twisted, silly... guy, but they're the ones with the
- 49:39Speaker 6: genius for it that knew how to write it, direct it,
- 49:42Speaker 6: capture it, and edit it. I mean, they had the timing.
- 49:45Speaker 6: They're the ones. I mean, I think they're geniuses. I
- 49:47Speaker 6: love them.
- 49:48Speaker 8: And how many times a day does somebody quote things
- 49:50Speaker 8: to you? It's so quotable.
- 49:51Speaker 6: It's almost every day.
- 49:54Speaker 8: And then, in a minute, you have to go get
- 49:55Speaker 8: on a plane. What do you worry every time you
- 49:57Speaker 8: get on a plane?
- 49:58Speaker 6: Oh, it used to be... Well, it's just fun, but
- 50:00Speaker 6: it used to be, you know, as soon as I'd
- 50:03Speaker 6: be walking up the gangway, and the stewardesses and the pilots...
- 50:08Speaker 6: And every once in a while the pilots would announce
- 50:10Speaker 6: over the loudspeaker, you know, like, surely you can't be
- 50:13Speaker 6: serious that we're going to be flying to... They would
- 50:16Speaker 6: say a little something. Occasionally they would say, we have
- 50:20Speaker 6: a special guest on the plane. They would say things,
- 50:22Speaker 6: but mostly they would kind of keep my, you know,
- 50:27Speaker 6: they would just say a little line or something as
- 50:29Speaker 6: a little joke.
- 50:30Speaker 7: Stay away from the fish.
- 50:32Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, or something.
- 50:35Speaker 2: But.
- 50:36Speaker 6: They don't do that as much anymore, but they still
- 50:39Speaker 6: do it. And a lot of times they know, but
- 50:42Speaker 6: they don't say anything. I mean, I got in one
- 50:44Speaker 6: and I thought, gee, this stewardess is kind of rude.
- 50:47Speaker 6: And then when I got off, she said, by the way,
- 50:50Speaker 6: I loved airplane. And I realized what it was, was
- 50:53Speaker 6: she was trying so hard to not... acknowledge me because
- 50:58Speaker 6: she thought that would be rude that she was she
- 51:00Speaker 6: was being kinda rude but she really wasn't it was just.
- 51:02Speaker 7: The opposite I don't know how to deal with you
- 51:04Speaker 7: being here exactly.
- 51:05Speaker 6: Exactly so it's been really really fun you know.
- 51:08Speaker 8: So and then do you have anything coming out you
- 51:11Speaker 8: want to tell people about or what you've got going on.
- 51:13Speaker 6: I just did a cameo in a film and I
- 51:18Speaker 6: told my son about it he said oh my god
- 51:20Speaker 6: you gotta do it dad uh It's in Sharknado 2. Oh, wow.
- 51:26Speaker 7: I mean, that took off so crazy.
- 51:29Speaker 6: I play an airline pilot.
- 51:32Speaker 7: Seems very fitting.
- 51:33Speaker 6: There you go. So that's the joke. The joke is
- 51:36Speaker 6: the joke.
- 51:36Speaker 7: Look for that one.
- 51:37Speaker 6: So that'll be... Well, they've got so much CGI and
- 51:40Speaker 6: all to do that it may be... Someone said June,
- 51:44Speaker 6: but then they said it might be next June because
- 51:47Speaker 6: of all the CGI.
- 51:47Speaker 12: Yeah. So.
- 51:50Speaker 6: Anyway, that was great fun. So we'll see. I've got
- 51:52Speaker 6: some other things sort of in the works, but we'll
- 51:56Speaker 6: see what comes to fruition.
- 51:58Speaker 8: Is there a place to find you, a website or
- 52:01Speaker 8: a Facebook or something?
- 52:03Speaker 6: I've got roberthayes.com, and I do everything myself, which isn't anything.
- 52:08Speaker 6: So I never keep things up. I'm on Facebook. My
- 52:11Speaker 6: son got me on Facebook, which I never wanted to
- 52:13Speaker 6: be on.
- 52:14Speaker 7: It's a blessing and a curse.
- 52:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I go on it every once in a while,
- 52:17Speaker 6: every few months or whatever. Years, every so, you know, so,
- 52:22Speaker 6: but I just take care of my dog and watch
- 52:28Speaker 6: my son plays music and yeah, yeah. And my ex,
- 52:32Speaker 6: my ex, Cherie Curry, was lead with the Runaways. And
- 52:36Speaker 6: so she and I go and see, you know, him play.
- 52:40Speaker 6: And then I take her to her gigs and she
- 52:44Speaker 6: plays and our son plays in her band with her
- 52:46Speaker 6: and So we just have a fun family deal.
- 52:50Speaker 7: You guys have a good relationship?
- 52:51Speaker 6: We have a wonderful relationship. We're divorced now. We've been
- 52:55Speaker 6: divorced for years now, but we're a very loving family,
- 52:58Speaker 6: so it's nice.
- 53:00Speaker 8: I saw she's starting to do these. I saw her
- 53:02Speaker 8: listed for one in a couple months.
- 53:03Speaker 12: I think.
- 53:03Speaker 6: She's been doing them with Lita Ford.
- 53:05Speaker 7: Do they get along okay?
- 53:07Speaker 6: Well, they used to have a kind of a well-known animosity,
- 53:11Speaker 6: but they realized that... That was really a misunderstanding, and
- 53:14Speaker 6: now they're very close. They're really good friends. She sang
- 53:17Speaker 6: on Lita's album recently, and Lita's singing on her album
- 53:20Speaker 6: that they're still working on right now. And so it's fun.
- 53:24Speaker 6: It's really, really fun.
- 53:25Speaker 8: We saw Lita at a show, and some guy mentioned
- 53:27Speaker 8: to her something about, mentioned Joan. Hey, I saw Joan,
- 53:30Speaker 8: and she seemed to have a little attitude towards Joan still.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I guess.
- 53:35Speaker 10: Do they all have her?
- 53:36Speaker 7: Is Joan the outcast of the bunch?
- 53:39Speaker 6: I don't really know. I don't, I don't, that's not
- 53:42Speaker 6: in my, you know. But I think Joan and her
- 53:45Speaker 6: manager have the, they got the rights to everything, so
- 53:49Speaker 6: they sort of exclude everybody else, I think. I don't know.
- 53:51Speaker 6: I mean, that's just my impression.
- 53:52Speaker 7: I don't know. It was funny, yeah.
- 53:54Speaker 6: It was weird.
- 53:55Speaker 7: But, yeah, it's awesome that you guys still kind of
- 53:57Speaker 7: hang out.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:59Speaker 6: Oh, she's sweet. She'd love it. She would love it.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Very cool.
- 54:02Speaker 6: The next time if you see her at one of these,
- 54:04Speaker 6: you've got to go up to her and say hello
- 54:06Speaker 6: and tell her that we did an interview and that
- 54:09Speaker 6: she ought to do one, too.
- 54:10Speaker 2: All right.
- 54:11Speaker 7: Sounds good.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 7: Well, thank you for talking with us today.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 54:16Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 54:40Speaker 3: In the heart of America, in a small rural community,
- 54:44Speaker 3: occurred a crime which shocked the entire nation. A book
- 54:55Speaker 3: about this crime by Truman Capote became a worldwide bestseller. Now,
- 55:00Speaker 3: a motion picture brings this book to the screen. In
- 55:06Speaker 3: Cold Blood. An appalling and apparently senseless crime. Two apparently
- 55:13Speaker 3: heartless young criminals. What is the reality behind the appearance?
- 55:19Speaker 3: Richard Brooks, a director of great forcefulness, was determined to
- 55:23Speaker 3: capture the reality with absolute honesty. Kansas City. The film
- 55:35Speaker 3: company moves here because it was from this bus terminal
- 55:38Speaker 3: that the real Perry Smith made a crucial telephone call.
- 55:43Speaker 3: The real Dick Hickok stopped at this gas station on
- 55:46Speaker 3: the way to the fateful meeting with his partner. In
- 55:51Speaker 3: this store, the killers bought the rope and tape with
- 55:54Speaker 3: which they bound and gagged their victims. The relentless pursuit
- 55:59Speaker 3: of authenticity leads cast and crew to the actual city streets,
- 56:03Speaker 3: the sun-drenched desert highways, the rain-swept country roads, and the
- 56:09Speaker 3: garish gambling towns where the real-life drama.
- 56:12Speaker 6: Was played out.
- 56:14Speaker 3: Many of these same spectators and reporters were in the
- 56:16Speaker 3: sullen crowd that saw the killers brought to this courthouse
- 56:21Speaker 3: after their capture. In this courtroom, they were tried for murder,
- 56:26Speaker 3: and seven of the jurors are the actual men who
- 56:29Speaker 3: decided their fate. Actor John Forsythe portrays the agent who
- 56:34Speaker 3: solved the crime. A remarkable lookalike for Alvin Dewey, the
- 56:38Speaker 3: real life investigator. These are the real killers.
- 56:43Speaker 2: These are the.
- 56:44Speaker 3: Actors who play their parts. So uncanny are the resemblances
- 56:49Speaker 3: that they have said, sometimes we get the creepy feeling
- 56:52Speaker 3: that we really are those guys. Robert Blake plays Perry Smith.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Scott Wilson plays Richard Hickok. The crime depicted in In
- 57:02Speaker 3: Cold Blood took place inside this house. It is reenacted
- 57:08Speaker 3: inside this house so that the motion picture itself becomes
- 57:12Speaker 3: a terrifyingly true story of our generation, a generation both
- 57:17Speaker 3: repelled and attracted by violence.
- 57:23Speaker 7: And then we talked to one other person today.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:28Speaker 8: Since you were talking about John, we also talked to
- 57:30Speaker 8: Herschel himself.
- 57:31Speaker 13: Oh, really?
- 57:32Speaker 8: That's the way most people will know him, as Herschel
- 57:34Speaker 8: from The Walking Dead. But Scott Wilson, I guess, is
- 57:36Speaker 8: the way, you know.
- 57:38Speaker 10: Everybody's grandpa.
- 57:39Speaker 7: It kind of was. That's the thing. It's funny.
- 57:41Speaker 8: As I watched him with everybody, he does have that
- 57:44Speaker 8: presence about him. And then talking to him, he's very Herschel-like.
- 57:48Speaker 8: He's very kind of soft-spoken, and he seems like he's
- 57:51Speaker 8: very wise, but yet he still.
- 57:53Speaker 7: Kind of doesn't say a lot. Yeah, it was interesting
- 57:56Speaker 7: talking to him, though.
- 57:57Speaker 15: Made a few words but the words make make a
- 57:59Speaker 15: sense and it's very deep it's very deep.
- 58:03Speaker 8: Right yeah definitely and like I don't know he not
- 58:06Speaker 8: even like I think the wisdom is so far within
- 58:08Speaker 8: like cause sometimes I was kinda leading into stuff and
- 58:11Speaker 8: he's just sorta like states the facts he's a man
- 58:13Speaker 8: of few words as you said yeah I mean I
- 58:16Speaker 8: figured he was probably sick to death of talking zombies
- 58:18Speaker 8: and then I looked through his other like I kinda
- 58:20Speaker 8: forgot in cold blood and like he's in in the
- 58:24Speaker 8: heat of the night and like I mean he's in
- 58:25Speaker 8: like classics you know like 60s and 70s he's just
- 58:28Speaker 8: in this run of classic movies and just like okay
- 58:31Speaker 8: let's talk about those like i was way more fascinated
- 58:33Speaker 8: with that stuff i'm like everybody wants to talk about
- 58:35Speaker 8: zombies now but yeah so yeah we're gonna go get
- 58:38Speaker 8: some of the old school stuff with uh with scott
- 58:40Speaker 8: so let's go there now.
- 58:43Speaker 7: Um you you were pretty well established by the.
- 58:45Speaker 8: Time we even kind of see you on screen uh
- 58:48Speaker 8: i was just kind of wondering how did you get
- 58:50Speaker 8: into it did you start off with a lot of stage.
- 58:52Speaker 4: Work i did i started out uh I hitchhiked from
- 58:57Speaker 4: Georgia to California when I was 19. I started studying
- 59:02Speaker 4: acting then. I did quite a few plays. First play
- 59:07Speaker 4: was The Importance of Being Earnest. Scenes from Long Voyage Home,
- 59:16Speaker 4: Eugene O'Neill's Long Voyage Home. Did plays and workshops for
- 59:21Speaker 4: about five and a half years and I got my
- 59:22Speaker 4: first film interview which was In the Heat of the Night.
- 59:26Speaker 4: That led to In Cold Blood and Ultimately, it's led
- 59:30Speaker 4: to me being here right now.
- 59:33Speaker 8: I mean, you're in the heat of the night doing
- 59:35Speaker 8: a scene with Sidney Poitier.
- 59:37Speaker 7: I mean, what's that like?
- 59:37Speaker 4: Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger. What an awesome first film experience.
- 59:43Speaker 4: And Norman Jewison was the director. Just an exceptional beginning.
- 59:51Speaker 4: I got very lucky on that.
- 59:53Speaker 8: I mean, Poitier seemed like he was already well-established at
- 59:56Speaker 8: that point, too. Was he like, Did you learn things
- 59:58Speaker 8: from him, just being on set?
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: Yes, you learn from him. He was a very kind man, too.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: Just working with someone of his caliber is an education
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: in itself. He's a very generous actor, so it was
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: quite a wonderful experience.
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: Well, and then In Cold Blood is an amazing film.
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: I mean, at that point, were you already familiar with
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: the book?
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: No, I wasn't familiar with the book. And as a
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: matter of fact, Mr. Poitier asked me if I was
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: up for the film. And he and Quincy Jones as
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: well called the director, Richard Brooks, and told him that
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: he should look at me.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: So I.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: Went in and met with Brooks.
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: And then, I mean, that was pretty heavy material. Were
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: you kind of prepared for the road it took you down?
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: I think I was totally prepared to work. I was
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: ready to work in film. And it was, you know,
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: it was a life-altering experience in terms of establishing me
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: as an actor, a viable working actor. So that was...
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: I got very lucky in... You'd need a lot of
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: luck to go along with some talent.
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: And it was just such dark material.
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: Were you prepared for how dark it got?
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: Well, I was to a degree. I didn't want the
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: audience to like him. I didn't want to glorify him.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: I wanted the audience to dislike him. But I wanted
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: them to know that he was a human being as well.
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: Well, I guess you found yourself in the middle of
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: The Walking Dead then.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: Yes, I found myself here.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: Minutes?
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: And it's been totally fun.
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: Were you prepared for the whole wave of success that
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: came with The Walking Dead?
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: No, I don't think you, you know, you never know.
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: When you came in, it was just kind of hitting
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: that peak, so I think it hit a whole new
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: level once you got involved.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: It has escalated every season, I think. So it's been
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: a great experience.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: Thank you, sir.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: All right, well, we will probably very soon be back
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: in your store, so do you want to tell people
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: where to find it?
- 1:02:34Speaker 10: Yes, we're the destination. We're on Shelbyville Road.
- 1:02:37Speaker 15: We're hidden behind, we're tucked behind Dee's Crafts on Ten
- 1:02:40Speaker 15: Pin Lane. So come by and check us out. We've
- 1:02:42Speaker 15: got comics, games, collectibles, toys, artwork especially. Anything you want,
- 1:02:47Speaker 15: we can get our hands on it.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I saw Brian over there working some
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: of the artists.
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:51Speaker 15: That's what these cons are great about.
- 1:02:53Speaker 10: We can pick up new artists.
- 1:02:53Speaker 15: So if you're not able to make it out to
- 1:02:55Speaker 15: a Comic-Con, then we can bring some awesome artists into
- 1:02:58Speaker 15: our store so you can see them locally at all times.
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: The destination. It's like a mini Comic-Con.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:03:03Speaker 10: That's the atmosphere we want to bring.
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: And you occasionally let weirdos come in there and podcast.
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: So we will be back there very soon recording some
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: sort of show, I am sure.
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: Only the weirdos can podcast.
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: Only the weirdos.
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: No normals.
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: If they were normal, they wouldn't be running a podcast.
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: No, probably not.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: Thank you for talking to us.
- 1:03:25Speaker 17: He couldn't.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: Figure out how to use it at first. I sanitized Herschel.
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: Because I had the spray kind, and he took it,
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: and he was like, hold out your hand. Hold out
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: your hand.
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: Why do I got to hold out my hand?
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: He tried to, like, shake it into his hand, and
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: that's not how the sanitizer works. It's spray hand sanitizer.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: So I popped the cap, and I sprayed his hand
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: for him. And then I gave it to him, because
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: I'm like, you might have to touch other people. So
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: you might need more hand sanitizer. So there you go.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: You're all set. So I put it in his pocket.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: He was pretty cool. He was pretty cool.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:04:10Speaker 13: He was cool.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: It was cool. I sanitized him.
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: Can he high-five you for that?
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: I don't think so. That would involve touching me, and
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: he'd just sanitize.
- 1:04:15Speaker 11: Isn't he like the bro?
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: Like, I kind of like that.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Hey.
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: Sort of the bro hand.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Oh, the General Lee's going to sleep. He's getting tucked in.
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: He's getting a little blanket. They're rolling a blanket over
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: the General Lee. It's 99th time for the General Lee.
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: He's sleepy.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: What? Hey.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Hey.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: Give them your breakdown of the convention.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: A lot of bow ties, a lot of fezzes. I
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: don't know.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: Not a lot of costumes other than that.
- 1:04:48Speaker 18: No, not a lot of costumes. There weren't as many
- 1:04:51Speaker 18: costumes as there was in Chicago, but I think a
- 1:04:54Speaker 18: majority of it had to do with the weather.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: It was really rainy.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: Nasty and cold.
- 1:04:59Speaker 18: Yeah, I mean, who's going to get all dolled up
- 1:05:02Speaker 18: in their costume and then trudge three blocks in the
- 1:05:05Speaker 18: rain to get it ruined and then come in here
- 1:05:08Speaker 18: I don't know, there were still some people that dressed up,
- 1:05:09Speaker 18: so that was cool.
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: I saw two and a half Lokis. I only counted
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: one because it was the slacker Loki costume. It was
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: like the suit with the scarf.
- 1:05:17Speaker 18: Yeah, there were a couple slackers here. Come on, if
- 1:05:19Speaker 18: you're going to get in costume, go full nines. Don't
- 1:05:22Speaker 18: just count a half.
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: There was that Loki hoodie you saw. Yeah, the Loki.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: I'm not even counting that. That's not even part of
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: the half.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: There were two chicks. What did you do with my card,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: my business card for Loki chick?
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: Oh, there.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: I did get a business card for the Lady Thor
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: and Lady Loki. They are burned with glorious purpose. So, yeah,
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: I'm going to be tagging myself in their photo.
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: Burned or burdened?
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: Burdened.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:05:45Speaker 12: Burned with glorious purpose.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Seared.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: Seared.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: Medium well with purpose. But, yeah, it's been a good day.
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: I think so. I wore more comfortable shoes, so that
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: was a good thing. Yeah, you weren't here most of
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: the day.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: No, I was at a meeting, but that's okay.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: But I'm just saying you haven't been here the entire
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: day like we have.
- 1:06:10Speaker 18: No, I haven't been here the entire day.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: I've been the last part of the day.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: But still, we've learned more about Parkinson's than I probably
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: ever cared to know.
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: Well, yes, that.
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: They keep running a Parkinson's infomercial behind them. Not really
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: an infomercial. It's raising awareness for the disease. Michael J.
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: Fox has got it, and apparently it's not good.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: What?
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: Parkinson's.
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: It's not good.
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not.
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: Have you rambled on enough?
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I think so. Talking about Parkinson's and how not awesome
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: it is.
- 1:06:42Speaker 9: I agree.
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: It's not awesome at all. Feel free to donate to
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: end Parkinson's.
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: Yeah, Parkinson's sucks.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: All right. I think we're wrapping this thing up. You
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: want to tell them bye?
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Bye. Bye.
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week.
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Bye.
- 1:07:12Speaker 17: Our love is a curious.

- 1:08:11Speaker 7: Make a bad one good, make a wrong one right.
- 1:08:13Speaker 17: Power love will keep you home at night.

- 1:08:50Speaker 14: the next time you feel it, it might.
- 1:08:52Speaker 11: Make you mad But you'll be glad, baby, when you
- 1:08:57Speaker 11: find That's.

- 1:09:04Speaker 14: Don't need no credit card to ride this train.
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: It's true inside.
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: And it's cruel sometimes.
- 1:09:14Speaker 11: But it might just save you.
- 1:09:19Speaker 14: They say that all in love.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: Is fair Oh, but you don't.
