the sauce, man, you have the ingredients you need to live a flavor

fruitful life right, a flavorful and fruitful life. And that's what He's calling

us to man, a life to live in abundance, not just scraping by,

not just barely making it, but to make life work in the overflow

like money will work for us. We don't have to work for money,

per se. In the spirit, realm and the Kingdom of God. Grace

and mercy will follow Amen all the time, all the days of our lives

when we're in Christ. And what we need today. I want to talk

to you about a question that was posed to me recently a prayer. I

was sharing my testimony with someone and after I shared it was a brief part

of it because we were busy and we were at a ministry event and this

person just had questions, which is cool. I love it. After I

shared a brief part of my testimony, the person asks why God? Why

did you call out to God? Couldn't you have changed yourself? And that's

a question I get a lot when I shared my testimony. They were like,

you could have did that yourself? And I was like, really,

can can I change myself? And the question is can you change yourself?

On the Morning Devo, listen closely? Can you change yourself? Like,

right now where you are in life, say you don't believe in God,

you will believe in Jesus the Lord. Amen. So, and you headed

down a road that you know is not fruitful or flavorful in a good way.

Can you literally stop yourself and change yourself? Think about it? Can

you change yourself? Have you ever tried to change your behavior, habits or

lifestyle on your own? And the follow up question is how did they go?

How did that work out? Amen? Be honest, you don't have

but I just want you to think about that. We're gonna be in

So as you think about that, can you change yourself? Question?

Because when I think about it, when people ask me that, it always

throws me back. And I'm real honest with them if they give me an

opportunity to answers. Answer is no. If I could have changed myself,

was into the fast life, alcohol, sex, drugs, fast women,

fast cars, and I wasn't satisfied by it, why couldn't I just Why

couldn't I have just stopped and say, you know, enough is enough and

just change myself? Why did I need all powerful, all loving, all

holy, all righteous, all merciful, all graceful God to come into my

life and change me? If I could have done that myself, think about

that clearly, man, and be honest. Amen. Honesty is an amazing

thing when it comes to your life in Christ. Amen. So that's what

that's what we're going to be doing real quick at the short time that we

have, Amen, And we're going to be in John chapter fifteen, verses

four and five, right, because if we try to change ourselves, Amen,

it should be like, for instance, somebody who smokes cigarettes, you

know that nicotine is a beast. Some studies show that nicotine it's harder to

kick or harder to stop using than crack cocaine. Nicotine. Yeah, So

when you hear people saying, oh, this is my last pack of cigarettes,

I'm not gonna smoke no more, and then you see them a year

later, they're still smoking. Fifteen years later, they're still smoking. It's

the nicotine. So I know, it's a chemical thing, and that's an

addictive thing, and it will alter your behavior. It will cause you to

do things marijuana smoke. Studies show that the marijuana itself, cannabis itself is

not addictive. It's the feeling that you get from it. It numbs you.

It releases you from your problems temporarily. It numbs you, it gives

you, put you in a fog state, and your mind or dopamine that

stores up for that feeling, the good feeling chemical that fills your brain,

starts liking and enjoying it. So the addiction is the numbness. And you

know, the ease of pain. A lot of people who have authritis,

a lot of people have pain in the body. They use marijuana as a

mechanism to cope with the pain. Right. So if you could change yourself,

why can't you stop the pain in your body? Right? Because we're

being grown ups, right, and we're saying, well, I could change

that, I could change this, I could change that. I own my

own body. Ever heard somebody say that I own my own body? So

whatever I do in my own body is my business. Nobody else's business is

my choice. Well, stay drug free, alcohol free, stay healthy all

the time. If it was your body, you should have total control.

You could literally change your body, change yourself. Right. A lot of

it goes in there with this question, But I don't want to get too

deep. Like I always tell people, these are morning DeVos. I want

you to focus on the world of God, first thing, first part of

your day. A man. I think it would do your body good,

To your own lives. I know, yesterday, from the time of this

recording, there was the solar eclipse when people were showing all kinds of photos

of it, and then of course people were showing things flying across the air

like you have foes. And then other people were mocking the eclipse and other

people putting pictures of the eclipse. So the focus was on the eclipse yesterday.

Meanwhile, it's people still homeless, people still dying of drug addiction,

there's still people getting sex trafficked into these underworld on societies. Some people are

dying without Christ and all that. So how easy we get distracted, right,

even as believers, we get distracted. We start looking at we start

are talking about earthquakes and tsunami warnings and eclipse. So that's not going to

change. I heard a preacher say, if we're so like intelligent of we're

so in control of the world, right, why can't we stop natural things

from happening, the natural elements, earthquakes, storms, tornado, tsunamis or

eclipse all that stuff. It's because the world's system, the way the world

operates, the universe a meant is governed by all intelligent, all mighty God,

not by man. I hope, I just really hope and pray that

you don't believe that mankind created the universe. Please don't think that. Or

maybe you think that is an intelligent being from outer space. Well that's closer

than man being the creative of all of this. So you know you can't

do it without the Lord. I can't do without the Lord. We need

him right for the change in your life. So let's pray first. After

Father, I thank you for now today, this moment, this time.

Thank you for every single person that's willing to hear your words, willing

to investigate your claims. Lord Jesus, I pray, Lord God, I

had your protection over every single person listening on the other side of the screen,

on the other side of this mind, concluding myself and my family.

Guide God protect this Lord, thank you so much for doing so. I

pray Lord God's strength to every single person's mind right now. I pray peace

to every single soul right now in Jesus' name, and their situations with their

you will be with those people who are hurting, who are calling on

parts, our inner being by way of your Holy Spirit. And remind us

I speak life over every single person right now in Jesus' name, and their

career, their work as a boss, as an employee, as an employer,

in school, as a mom, as a dad, every single position

in life, Lord God, that we find ourselves in. I pray Lord

God, the peace of God, the success of God, the mercy of

God, the forgiveness of God, the power of God, the authority of

God over all those situations right now. And I also pray, Lord God

that those who are willing and need a change in their hearts and minds.

Lord God, that you will remind us that you are the changer of hearts,

the love of our souls, and the savior of our life and the

Lord of our lives. And by way of Holy Spirit, I know you're

going to speak to that one individual who is trying to change themselves and they

come to a realization that they cannot do it on their own, and it's

not possible for them to change themselves, but a loving, holy, righteous

Lord, a God of having an earth, can do that for them.

freezing temperatures and we're in the middle of April pretty much, right, So

or watching and so you said, Sam, I got a good argument for

that. Yeah, I could change myself. Look, I did this,

and I broke this, and I did this on my own and no one

helped me. I didn't go to a program. I literally met people that

got out of drug addictions on their own without going to any kind of tense

step five step program or anything. And they said it was without God,

but they said it was a higher power, which sometimes equial relates to God.

They just don't understand who or what power that higher power was, right,

that higher power. A lot of time they're talking about the same guy

that we're talking about. It's just that they don't know him. They don't

know his name, they don't know his life, they don't know is word,

they don't know it's the history of God and all of that, right,

but they know it's something outer body experience. They know with somebody,

something else that came into their lives that change them. And you know how

I know it's not demonic right, that it is a holy thing, because

the devil don't want you to break free from addictions. The devil don't want

you to know the truth. The devil don't want you to acknowledge that there

was a God. The devil none of that. He does. He only

seems to be helping people who are lost through money, power, fame,

fortune, the flesh, pride of life, the lust of the eyes.

He'll amplify those things, but he will never tell you the truth because there's

no truth in him, and he will never help you out to get to

a relationship with the Lord. He just stumbles over his own feet sometimes and

then he'll lie so many times that he'll you know, stumble in his lives,

over your life and over my life. I always lied to so much

much in life, and I was being lied to by the enemy, this

world system. That's when I came to a point and let me see if

there's a true God, because I couldn't change myself. You know, my

testimony is this, I could not change myself. And I realized that and

I admitted it. So I said, if there's a God, then the

test of his realness in my life is going to be he's going to have

to come and change me. I wasn't really caring about everybody else, to

be honest, at that point, I was like, oh, that's great

for those people. That's great for those people. I said that God changed

them, What about me? I wanted a piece of that pie? Right?

Thank God? I call him onto the Lord. I actually didn't call

onto Jesus. I called on to God. Whoever this God was. I

didn't know him, I didn't believe him. I didn't serve him. But

then I called out to God. He knows the heart of He knows your

heart. So if you call out to him, even if you don't know

his name, you think he's a higher power, you think it's some kind

of whatever you think he is. But in your heart, when you call

out God, he understands and he hears you, and he knows you calling

him, and he would come to the rescue and he would change and transform

and renew and restore and redeem your life, and you'll become born again spirit.

that without God? I literally tried to figure that out in life, and

it took me up till I was thirty years old to realize that, at

least in my in my experience, I could not change myself. People to

this very day say saying, but you're always a nice guy. My wife

says this sometimes too. It's just that I had learned how to hide my

hatred and my anger so well that people did not know I was hating and

angry. That's all it was. So this question, definitely, if you're

honest about it, it could really change a lot in your life today.

Starting going forward, John fifteen four and five, Jesus the Christ, our

Lord, my Lord says, remain in me, Remain in me. This

I think about it. With Christ, we're good, have everything we need,

We're fruitful, we're producing evidence of our faith. Right, this is

not like faith and faith. This is not naming claimant. This is not

all become a Christian and then you'll suddenly become rich and famous and all this

and that has nothing to do with that. Some people get that as a

byproduct of their faith in the Lord in the areas of finance, and they're

sowing seeds and they're helping people, and God is supplying the need. He's

providing everything a person needs to live that lifestyle and to glorify him. And

he's trusting these people who are rich and famous, and they're also born again

believers who are unashamed of the Gospel message the time that we're living in now.

As soon as you say you're born again, you're a believer, you're

a Christian. Get ready for all kind of attacks. Get ready for all

kinds of accusations. Get ready for all kinds of people that are going to

say, all you're a bunch of hypocrites. The church is this the Bible?

Is that you know, because they're so used to the American version of

the Gospel. If you're in America, right, But they're not understanding that

the Gospel message did not come and wasn't created. It's not European, so

therefore it hasn't been created by America. Right. It was created by a

living, holy, righteous God who came in the form of a man to

his own people, the Hebrews, the Jews, and he started there in

the Middle East. Why did they do that, saying how come we didn't

come to you know, whatever part of the world. Because he chose the

Hebrews and the Jews, Like, that's what he chose, That's what he

did. So he's telling us, if you remain in Him and I remain

in you, just as no branch can bear fruit by itself. The other

day we're talking about we can't do this on our own. We need to

lock arms together to get this done right, to get a fruitful life,

powerful life, holy spirit filled life, to show evidence of our faith.

Right when you remain in God and God is in you, Amen, Because

when you do that, you're showing the world that you're in communication, You're

in union with the one who remains. Right, everybody else is going to

fail you. Everybody else is going to leave this earth. Everybody else is

going to leave you sometimes. You know, you know what I mean.

Life happens. But God will never leave us, nor forsake us. No,

put us to shame, right, put us to shame. The one

who remains in me, Jasus said, and I in him bears much fruit.

How would people know that we are faithful to God? How will people

know that we're born again believers, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of

a holy King by the fruit right, you cut off, if you cut

off the vital union with Jesus, you're cutting off the power of God.

And without the power of God through the Lord and the Holy Spirit God,

the Holy Spirit God, we could do nothing. So the opposite applies,

right, ladies and gentlemen. With him, we could do all things to

Christ because the strength. Without him, we could do nothing. So it's

either all in all out. So I like to say that I go all

in for the Lord. I'm all in in Christ, and I go all

I have the power of Holy Spirit, and so do you. You're born

society is talking their talk, doing their thing right. So as believers,

we should be the most celebrity like we should be celebrating new life. Should

be the kindest people, should be gentle spirit should be you know, people

who have authority. According to the scriptures, we're supposed to be prayer warriors,

evangelists, apostles, pastorst, teachers, prophets. Let's not forget the

gifts of God. Let's not forget that we have the nine fruit of the

Spirit. We have them, all nine of them. Gentleness, kindness,

long suffering, patience, all the you know love. Right, we have

the nine and I'm not mentioned on the nine because right now my memory's jogging

me. But and when we walk with these spiritual realities, in our lives

and these gifts in our lives, we realize that it's God that's doing it

through us. Amount of time. That was fast, But listen, I

hope you get the point. We're in John chapter fifteen. We the whole

her, do you believe in the Lord? Do you have faith in God?

Talk to him? You are not crazy? When you talk to the

Lord, the Lord hears you and also cry out to him he is really

good. Wow. And sometimes, Sister Joanne, you an evangelist, sometimes

all you have to do is hear somebody's story and then give them what God

gives you to give them. Thank you for doing that, because that could

be a changing point in that person's life. They had an encounter with the

child of the Living King, and now you weren't ashamed to share and put

them in the direction to meet the Savior. That's what it's all about.
