- 0:19Speaker 4: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 0:21Speaker 1: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 0:23Speaker 1: be that Donald Show.
- 0:24Speaker 5: We don't have that.
- 0:24Speaker 3: So we have That Kevin.

- 1:01Speaker 8: Oh, and now from the Cotters in Sullivan Podcast Studios.
- 1:12Speaker 8: The man who is not what he wants to be, but.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Is way grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 1:18Speaker 9: Here here, hello, and welcome to that Kevin Show. This
- 1:27Speaker 9: is not that Kevin. As you guys have probably noticed
- 1:30Speaker 9: this week, Kevin took some time off. You guys can
- 1:33Speaker 9: all complain to him on his social media and tell
- 1:35Speaker 9: him how much you missed him. He probably honestly will
- 1:38Speaker 9: appreciate hearing that. Today you're stuck with me. My name
- 1:41Speaker 9: is Bethany Mandel. My voice might sound familiar because I
- 1:44Speaker 9: am usually on Kevin's show on Fridays, and he decided
- 1:48Speaker 9: to panned me the mic for the whole two hour show.
- 1:51Speaker 9: What a mistake that was. But we're all gonna do
- 1:54Speaker 9: it together and I'm gonna have fun, and I think
- 1:57Speaker 9: that's really all that matters. You can normally hear me
- 1:59Speaker 9: on the mom Wars podcast. I also have a complimentary
- 2:02Speaker 9: sub stack, and you can read me at The New
- 2:05Speaker 9: York Coast and The Washington Examiner. I'm a frequent contributor there,
- 2:09Speaker 9: and I sometimes write for other places like Fox News,
- 2:12Speaker 9: and you know, in addition to raising my six children
- 2:16Speaker 9: who are all out of the house today, I've had
- 2:18Speaker 9: this entire week to myself. And so when Kevin asked
- 2:21Speaker 9: me to coast today, I said, actually I could do
- 2:24Speaker 9: that because I.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Don't have any children in my home.
- 2:27Speaker 9: I wanted to start the hour talking about one of
- 2:30Speaker 9: the craziest stories that we've seen out of Spain, because
- 2:34Speaker 9: Spain is being invaded right now by Morocco and Algeria.
- 2:41Speaker 9: And it's not an invasion that you might think about
- 2:44Speaker 9: when you think of you know, I think about World
- 2:46Speaker 9: War two, the storming the beaches of Normandy. The beaches
- 2:50Speaker 9: of Spain are being stormed right now, but by migrants.
- 2:54Speaker 9: Right now. I think that the total is about fifty
- 2:58Speaker 9: thousand people have poured over the border. And we're not
- 3:01Speaker 9: talking about like refugees here. There's no women and children
- 3:05Speaker 9: storming the beaches. These are men who are from North Africa.
- 3:10Speaker 9: There's about twelve thousand of them crossing every hour. There
- 3:16Speaker 9: could be at some point maybe eighty to one hundred
- 3:18Speaker 9: thousand people who have crossed over and stormed these beaches.
- 3:22Speaker 9: And what's terrifying is Spain seems okay with it. They've
- 3:29Speaker 9: kind of thrown up their hands and said, well, what
- 3:31Speaker 9: could you do. The city in Spain that is being
- 3:36Speaker 9: invaded is asking for help from the federal government in
- 3:39Speaker 9: Spain and they're not really getting it. The city that's
- 3:42Speaker 9: being invaded right now in Spain is called Siuetta. And
- 3:48Speaker 9: what's terrifying is they're breaking into and we have video
- 3:51Speaker 9: of this. We have video of people breaking into Spanish
- 3:54Speaker 9: homes because they'll have squatter's rights and then they can
- 3:58Speaker 9: soon sort of established themselves as residents. I was reading
- 4:04Speaker 9: a remarkable piece in the Telegraph yesterday by Nicole Rampert,
- 4:08Speaker 9: by Nicole Lampert, and she is saying the thing that
- 4:15Speaker 9: not a lot of people in Europe were allowed to
- 4:17Speaker 9: say for a very long time that the influx of
- 4:20Speaker 9: this population, this is Lomist population, is very dangerous. For
- 4:25Speaker 9: a long time and too long. In fact, that was
- 4:29Speaker 9: not something we were allowed to say out loud, and
- 4:32Speaker 9: it was racist to say, maybe you don't want a
- 4:36Speaker 9: bunch of people from a Muslim country storming into your
- 4:40Speaker 9: country because the end result might not be so great.
- 4:44Speaker 9: We have seen in Berlin, not a weay mo, but
- 4:49Speaker 9: an actual car driven by a human being who wasn't Islamist,
- 4:54Speaker 9: tried to kill people at a pride parade in Berlin.
- 4:58Speaker 9: And this is something that has confused me about a
- 5:03Speaker 9: lot of minority communities, like the LGBT community, like the
- 5:06Speaker 9: Jewish community of which I am a member, that there
- 5:10Speaker 9: was fear to say the very obvious out loud, and
- 5:13Speaker 9: the very obvious is this is not a population that
- 5:16Speaker 9: you want to import. There are some countries some cultures
- 5:20Speaker 9: I'm sorry, that are better than others. And this is, uh,
- 5:24Speaker 9: this is not a culture that you want to import
- 5:27Speaker 9: into your country. And that's evidenced by the fact that
- 5:30Speaker 9: they're not getting in by you know, applying legally for residency.
- 5:35Speaker 9: They're not doing They are storming into, storming into this
- 5:40Speaker 9: country over the beaches. And the first videos that I
- 5:44Speaker 9: saw that came out, I thought it was ai. I
- 5:46Speaker 9: thought it was like from one of these dystopian movies
- 5:49Speaker 9: that I love. I love dystopian movies, but I thought
- 5:52Speaker 9: it was one of those dystopian movies where the world
- 5:55Speaker 9: is ending and there is no law and order anymore,
- 5:58Speaker 9: and it's just every man for himself and total total
- 6:03Speaker 9: breakdown of anything resembling order. And there's unsurprisingly already looting
- 6:11Speaker 9: going on and fires being set. And there are finally
- 6:16Speaker 9: some governments in Europe who are saying late a second.
- 6:20Speaker 9: Finland has officially announced that they are supporting a proposal
- 6:24Speaker 9: that Italy put forward to suspend Spain from the visa
- 6:29Speaker 9: free sort of exchange and so normally in the European Union,
- 6:32Speaker 9: if you've ever traveled in Europe, you can go freely
- 6:36Speaker 9: from Spain and too France into Italy and to England,
- 6:39Speaker 9: and the Italian government has said, wait a second, you
- 6:45Speaker 9: can't cross from from Spain into Italy if this, if
- 6:49Speaker 9: this is what's happening in Spain right now, we're going
- 6:52Speaker 9: to need to suss out who exactly is passing from
- 6:55Speaker 9: one border to another. But unfortunately for these countries, this
- 7:00Speaker 9: is not a thing that just sort of manifested out
- 7:04Speaker 9: of thin air, and it's a problem exclusive to Spain
- 7:08Speaker 9: and this one small area. This is a problem throughout Europe,
- 7:14Speaker 9: both illegal and legal immigration from North Africa. I lived
- 7:17Speaker 9: in Belgium when I was in high school, so I'm
- 7:20Speaker 9: forty years old, so you do the math. It was
- 7:22Speaker 9: not a short time ago, and I remember arriving there
- 7:27Speaker 9: and one of the very first things that my Belgian
- 7:29Speaker 9: host family said to me was be careful of the Moroccans.
- 7:33Speaker 9: And I touched base with all of my fellow American
- 7:36Speaker 9: exchange students and we hast each other.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Is your host family racist?
- 7:40Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Mine is? Is your host family racist? Mine is?
- 7:44Speaker 9: And then a funny thing happened. We spent more than
- 7:47Speaker 9: a week in Belgium, and we realized that our physical
- 7:50Speaker 9: safety was in danger. When there were massive packs of
- 7:55Speaker 9: these North African immigrants and migrants around. I remember one
- 7:59Speaker 9: of my friends we were in the capital city of Brussels.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Actually they were I didn't go with them.
- 8:05Speaker 9: They were in the capital city of Brussels one night
- 8:07Speaker 9: for New Year's Eve, and they were speaking English and
- 8:11Speaker 9: yelling and drunk, you know, as you are when you're
- 8:14Speaker 9: seventeen years old and unsupervised in Europe. And a pack
- 8:18Speaker 9: of Moroccans approached them and said, are you American? And
- 8:22Speaker 9: they made one of the cardinal mistakes that you can
- 8:25Speaker 9: make as an American in that circumstance, and they said yes.
- 8:29Speaker 9: They were too drunk to remember that they were supposed
- 8:32Speaker 9: to lie and say they were Canadian. And this was
- 8:34Speaker 9: like during the Iraq War, so things were especially the
- 8:37Speaker 9: tensions were especially high, and my friend, who was over
- 8:43Speaker 9: six foot tall, really really big guy, was beaten so
- 8:47Speaker 9: viciously that he was hospitalized for a week. That's why
- 8:52Speaker 9: our host families all told us be careful of the Moroccans,
- 8:55Speaker 9: be careful of the immigrants. And now Europe is overrun.
- 9:00Speaker 9: I mean, we're seeing very dramatic video out of Spain,
- 9:03Speaker 9: but it is overrun across the board. Over every single country.
- 9:11Speaker 9: I think it's great that Italy and Finland are saying,
- 9:14Speaker 9: oh wait a second and trying to set a boundary,
- 9:17Speaker 9: but that boundary should have been set twenty five years ago.
- 9:20Speaker 9: And this is the future that the DSA, the Democratic
- 9:23Speaker 9: Socialists of America want here. They want open borders, they
- 9:26Speaker 9: want this in America. And we're going to get into
- 9:30Speaker 9: that throughout the show because this is a scary phenomenon
- 9:34Speaker 9: that's erupted on the left and we're seeing it play
- 9:38Speaker 9: out in Europe and it's a warning signal for us
- 9:40Speaker 9: here in America.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Stay tuned.
- 9:42Speaker 9: We're going to keep on talking about this issue of
- 9:44Speaker 9: the DSSA and of this rampant immigration that's happening throughout Europe,
- 9:48Speaker 9: because it is the most pressing issue that we're facing
- 9:51Speaker 9: here in this country right now here.
- 10:08Speaker 11: He is from New York.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Hello, this is not Kevin o'paula.
- 10:17Speaker 9: He took vacation, which you guys can all tweet at
- 10:21Speaker 9: him about how he's never allowed to do again because
- 10:23Speaker 9: you're stuck with me. Your host for today, my name
- 10:26Speaker 9: is Bethany Mandel, co host of The mom Wars on
- 10:29Speaker 9: Substack and podcast, and I am joined by one of
- 10:33Speaker 9: my dear friends, Mary Catherine Ham, co host of the
- 10:38Speaker 9: Normally podcast and the Getting Hammered podcast, and speaking of which,
- 10:44Speaker 9: this week we got a really interesting view into how
- 10:49Speaker 9: exactly that global pandemic disrupted our lives for what three
- 10:53Speaker 9: years from where you lived two and a half three years.
- 10:59Speaker 9: We you and I were waiting for years and years
- 11:02Speaker 9: for the moment where it was. Now it can be said,
- 11:06Speaker 9: and now I think we're at that moment.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Yeah, Now it can be said that doctor Anthony Fauci
- 11:11Speaker 5: was a cartoonishly self absorbed weirdo who actually didn't know
- 11:16Speaker 5: what he was doing and in fact made a bunch
- 11:18Speaker 5: of wrong decisions and lied to people so that he
- 11:20Speaker 5: could have a bunch of power and attention.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 9: So, And what's frustrating to me about this moment is
- 11:27Speaker 9: we were wronged as Americans, but also me personally, Bethany Mandel,
- 11:32Speaker 9: I was wronged by people during COVID. We were blocked
- 11:35Speaker 9: from seeing members of our family for years until they
- 11:39Speaker 9: were on their deathbeds. We were yeah, we were demonized,
- 11:44Speaker 9: We were black sheeped by people. And I don't really
- 11:48Speaker 9: talk about that much because it's my personal life. But
- 11:51Speaker 9: I'm pretty mad. Now I'm like, I'm I'm waiting for
- 11:55Speaker 9: my apology phone call. Yes, and I don't think that
- 11:58Speaker 9: the apology phone calls are forthcoming.
- 12:01Speaker 5: One of the problems with this situation is that a
- 12:03Speaker 5: lot of people have a lot of sunk costs in
- 12:05Speaker 5: believing Anthony Fauci, and they are separated from a media
- 12:09Speaker 5: ecosystem that would tell them about these diary entries that
- 12:12Speaker 5: reveal him to be what he is. So unfortunately, most
- 12:15Speaker 5: of them who are consuming mainstream media, who by the way,
- 12:18Speaker 5: are part of the story in the Fauci diaries and
- 12:21Speaker 5: are in their workshopping questions with him, for him and
- 12:24Speaker 5: having dinner with him when we weren't supposed to be
- 12:26Speaker 5: crossing households, like all sorts of crazy stuff going on,
- 12:30Speaker 5: They're not going to be talking about it. So a
- 12:32Speaker 5: lot of people won't know that they should update what
- 12:35Speaker 5: they thought about Fauci and they were in fact wronged, right,
- 12:39Speaker 5: They still think we're the villains, but they were wronged
- 12:42Speaker 5: and had things taken from them. But you know what,
- 12:45Speaker 5: there is some one person at least who has apologized
- 12:50Speaker 5: to someone he wronged during the pandemic, and it is
- 12:53Speaker 5: Stephen A.
- 12:53Speaker 11: Smith.
- 12:54Speaker 5: The ESPN Sports analyst, and I'm pretty proud of him.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Should we hear.
- 12:59Speaker 9: Him apologize a little bit here, and I'm going to
- 13:01Speaker 9: pretend like I'm getting it from from all the people
- 13:04Speaker 9: who wronged me.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Let's hear this exactly.
- 13:06Speaker 12: There were others who had the courage to say bump that,
- 13:11Speaker 12: and one of those people at the forefront was Kyrie Irving.
- 13:14Speaker 12: I bring his name up because I watched doctor Fauci
- 13:17Speaker 12: on Capitol Hill yesterday and the person I thought about
- 13:21Speaker 12: most was Kyrie Irving because of the heat that he
- 13:23Speaker 12: was taking and our folks were polling on because that
- 13:26Speaker 12: was just the latest transgression in their eyes, that he
- 13:29Speaker 12: was committing and subjecting the public to.
- 13:32Speaker 11: He refused the vaccine.
- 13:33Speaker 12: New York City's mandate made him ineligible for home games,
- 13:36Speaker 12: and he linked his stance to people losing jobs over
- 13:40Speaker 12: vaccine mandates. In my opinion, particularly hindsight wise, it didn't
- 13:44Speaker 12: make him stubborn or selfish. It made him brave for
- 13:48Speaker 12: his willingness to stand up and say no, I'm not
- 13:51Speaker 12: doing that. It's just a time for reflection and look
- 13:53Speaker 12: at things differently.
- 13:55Speaker 9: All right, Look at that's as easy as that.
- 13:59Speaker 4: That's how it's done well.
- 14:00Speaker 5: And I like Steve and a Smith. I think he's
- 14:02Speaker 5: an interesting thinker. He's obviously not aligned with me on everything,
- 14:05Speaker 5: and I don't need him to be, but he has
- 14:08Speaker 5: the ability to do this, to reassess and reevaluate what
- 14:13Speaker 5: he took in the past as gospel, and that is
- 14:16Speaker 5: a really important quality for anyone, but particularly for public figures.
- 14:20Speaker 5: So what's frustrating is the fact that you know, now,
- 14:24Speaker 5: in the era of now, it can be said, and
- 14:26Speaker 5: yet we have a friend who's deciding to leave their
- 14:30Speaker 5: pediatrician because the pediatrician is requiring the vaccine for their
- 14:35Speaker 5: very young child in order to stay in the practice.
- 14:38Speaker 5: I'm talking about measles. I'm talking about the COVID vaccine. Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 5: wild I remember listening to the hearing. I guess it
- 14:48Speaker 5: was a panel committee where they were deciding whether to
- 14:51Speaker 5: recommend this for that age with bracket, and every single
- 14:56Speaker 5: doctor expressed hesitation that buy allowing it. They were going
- 15:01Speaker 5: to create a permission structure in which it was in
- 15:04Speaker 5: which it was mandatory.
- 15:07Speaker 9: And I don't understand how in twenty twenty six there
- 15:10Speaker 9: is a pediatrician anywhere in America. And I'm not talking
- 15:13Speaker 9: this person doesn't live in Park Slope, Okay, Like this
- 15:16Speaker 9: is a real America place, and yet they're deciding to
- 15:22Speaker 9: leave their pediatricians practice because they're being forced to take
- 15:26Speaker 9: the vaccine in order to stay on.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Yeah, twenty six. I think people still don't understand the
- 15:32Speaker 5: amount of risk that children faced was so miniscule because
- 15:39Speaker 5: we were lied to systematically about it, and so they
- 15:42Speaker 5: make the wrong calculations. And many doctors, unfortunately in public
- 15:45Speaker 5: health officials, fell victim to the homogeny of their of
- 15:50Speaker 5: their thinking groups and could not puncture that. And so
- 15:54Speaker 5: to this day, I have people telling me on X,
- 15:55Speaker 5: I can't believe you would criticize a man who just
- 15:58Speaker 5: tried to keep you alive. And I'm like, man, I
- 16:00Speaker 5: was a forty something healthy person with young children, like we.
- 16:04Speaker 9: Were okay, yeah, and we were always okay. And what
- 16:07Speaker 9: angers me about this is the fact that the record
- 16:10Speaker 9: isn't reset for these people. And so I live in
- 16:13Speaker 9: Montgomery County, Maryland, one of the bluest, stupidest areas in America,
- 16:17Speaker 9: and I still see people walking around with cloth masks
- 16:21Speaker 9: on I saw a kid at the bus stop the
- 16:23Speaker 9: other day wearing a cloth mask and what's funny is
- 16:26Speaker 9: when I saw that kid, I was like, Oh, that
- 16:29Speaker 9: kid's sick, and the mom put a mask on them
- 16:32Speaker 9: in order to send them to camp. I guarantee it.
- 16:35Speaker 9: Because now people don't understand how the science works because
- 16:40Speaker 9: Anthony Facchi decided he was the science and he I disagree.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Yeah, he wasn't the science, and it's dangerous to think
- 16:47Speaker 5: that way. I would argue, it is maybe anti science
- 16:49Speaker 5: to think that you're the science and that your decisions
- 16:53Speaker 5: embody that and cannot be questioned. So yeah, look, I'm
- 16:56Speaker 5: glad somebody's questioning him. For years, the journalists in particular
- 17:00Speaker 5: or refused to do so. He was a public figure
- 17:02Speaker 5: with immense power and he ruined a lot of lives
- 17:05Speaker 5: and he should answer for it.
- 17:07Speaker 11: But he played the fifth So we'll.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Have to take what we can get from Steven Smith,
- 17:10Speaker 5: who I appreciate.
- 17:11Speaker 9: Yeah, and speaking of public figures who are ruining lives
- 17:15Speaker 9: over in New York, Zora, Mam Donnie is dosing close
- 17:20Speaker 9: to a million New Yorkers. Do you have sort of
- 17:25Speaker 9: the download on that story?
- 17:26Speaker 4: Because I do.
- 17:27Speaker 5: This is like a this is a perfect government failing story,
- 17:31Speaker 5: except they're not actually failing. They're doing what he wants
- 17:33Speaker 5: to do. So what Mom Donnie said was, Oh, we
- 17:36Speaker 5: just want to get these really rich people who have
- 17:38Speaker 5: Pieta tears. They have a city place that they don't
- 17:41Speaker 5: dwell in, and we're going to hit them with a
- 17:42Speaker 5: big tax. And what we're going to do with that
- 17:44Speaker 5: tex is we're going to collect I think it's five
- 17:47Speaker 5: hundred million to fill a six billion dollar budget hole.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Good math on that one. So five hundred million. And
- 17:54Speaker 5: then they realized, oh that's not enough, So they hit
- 17:56Speaker 5: a bunch of people who do not have five million
- 17:59Speaker 5: dollar threshold. Nine hundred thousand people on this list. They
- 18:03Speaker 5: don't vet it at all. And then they tell the
- 18:05Speaker 5: people on the list who receive this letter, Hey, you
- 18:08Speaker 5: might be a permanent resident. This might not be a
- 18:10Speaker 5: pieda tear. Let us know within four weeks with these
- 18:13Speaker 5: specific documents. Okay, sure, right, they have the computer where
- 18:18Speaker 5: they could verify this, but they don't. And then if
- 18:21Speaker 5: you want to send them the documents, a you.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Have to find them.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Some of these are old people who live in these
- 18:26Speaker 5: homes forever and don't know where they are. Then you
- 18:29Speaker 5: submit them to the website. Easyps Right, Nope, the website
- 18:33Speaker 5: doesn't work. Yeah, and so all these and like some
- 18:37Speaker 5: of these are rich residents who voted for Mondani and
- 18:40Speaker 5: I'm like, welcome to his plan for you.
- 18:43Speaker 11: This was always the plan.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Yep, yep.
- 18:46Speaker 9: And what's the many one of these many unintended consequences.
- 18:50Speaker 9: I saw someone saying on Twitter, I keep my address
- 18:55Speaker 9: and by the way, this is my primary residence. I
- 18:57Speaker 9: keep my primary residence for security reasons.
- 19:02Speaker 4: There are so.
- 19:03Speaker 9: Many people who have who are public figures, who have stalkers,
- 19:08Speaker 9: are who need to not have a white page's document
- 19:12Speaker 9: put out by the City of New York saying this
- 19:15Speaker 9: is where this person lives, down to the apartment building.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Well, and on top of that, it's a class warfare document, right,
- 19:22Speaker 5: so it's like, these people are the enemy. We have
- 19:25Speaker 5: now put them and their locations on a document for you,
- 19:29Speaker 5: and we will not be updating as they inform us
- 19:32Speaker 5: where they're not the enemy, by the way, They just
- 19:35Speaker 5: they needed to cast the net as far as they
- 19:37Speaker 5: possibly could.
- 19:38Speaker 11: And this is what that is.
- 19:39Speaker 5: By the way, the simple instructions for these poor people.
- 19:44Speaker 5: If the property is a tenant's primary residence, the owner
- 19:47Speaker 5: must submit a copy of the lease in a rental
- 19:48Speaker 5: document such as a utility bill or proof of payment.
- 19:51Speaker 5: For family members, the owner must provide a birth certificate,
- 19:54Speaker 5: marriage certificate, or immediate family member affidavit. For a trust beneficiary,
- 19:58Speaker 5: the owner must provide a trust agreement. You have four
- 20:00Speaker 5: weeks to do this. If they don't catch it on
- 20:03Speaker 5: their non functioning website, you will be builled. This is
- 20:08Speaker 5: the idea, and I have a theory on mom Donnie,
- 20:11Speaker 5: because people will be like, oh, this seems like such
- 20:13Speaker 5: a misstep by a smart politician, like when he did
- 20:16Speaker 5: the straight to camera July fourth thing with the sad
- 20:19Speaker 5: naturalized citizens on either side of him and our most
- 20:23Speaker 5: joyous civic observance and made it into a dirge. These
- 20:26Speaker 5: are the things he actually believes. Yes, that's why he's misstepping.
- 20:30Speaker 5: He doesn't care about the optics because he believes that
- 20:32Speaker 5: he wants to make American citizenship sad and to tax
- 20:36Speaker 5: the heck.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Out of you. That's what he believes. Harriyah, Well, New Yorkers,
- 20:40Speaker 4: you got what you voted for. I hope you enjoy it.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Thank you so much for coming on, Mary kathnas into
- 20:45Speaker 4: light talking to us always.
- 20:46Speaker 13: Of course, courage, stick around for more of fat Kevin next.
- 21:07Speaker 11: Here he is from New York.
- 21:09Speaker 4: That Hello, this is not live for me New York.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Nor am I that Kevin.
- 21:18Speaker 9: I am that Bethany, and I am joined by a
- 21:21Speaker 9: lovely woman that I just met, Ali Moray. She is
- 21:24Speaker 9: the executive director of the American Parents Coalition. And when
- 21:29Speaker 9: this story came across my radar about YMCA's my antenna
- 21:33Speaker 9: went up because I am a member of my local IMCA,
- 21:37Speaker 9: and I bring my children there. And now I'm not
- 21:40Speaker 9: so sure that's a great idea. Can you get into
- 21:42Speaker 9: some of the findings of what happened It was just
- 21:46Speaker 9: in San Francisco, or is this a nationwide problem.
- 21:49Speaker 14: It's unfortunately a nationwide problem. So about a year ago
- 21:53Speaker 14: we started investigating the YMCA when we noticed a handful
- 21:56Speaker 14: of stories from across the country where women were going
- 22:00Speaker 14: into the locker room changing their clothes and seeing men
- 22:03Speaker 14: in there. The story that really caught our attention was
- 22:06Speaker 14: there was a woman in Washington State. She happened to
- 22:10Speaker 14: see two young girls also in the women's restroom changing
- 22:13Speaker 14: out of their bathing suits, and there was a man
- 22:14Speaker 14: in there watching them. She went to the front desk
- 22:17Speaker 14: told them and they said, oh, he identifies as a woman,
- 22:20Speaker 14: that's totally fine, and then she lost her membership. We're
- 22:24Speaker 14: bringing that to the wise attention and so yeah, so
- 22:28Speaker 14: we started doing a deep dive into this about a
- 22:30Speaker 14: year ago and found policies on the YMCA Nationals website
- 22:34Speaker 14: dating back to twenty seventeen, where they had provided a
- 22:37Speaker 14: list of like, here's the nine things you can do
- 22:39Speaker 14: to make your local YMCA LGBTQ friendly and it was,
- 22:44Speaker 14: you know, everything from bathroom policies to partnering with groups
- 22:47Speaker 14: like the Trevor Project and all of these things you
- 22:50Speaker 14: could do during Pride Month. When we first raised that
- 22:53Speaker 14: alarm a year ago May of twenty twenty five, within
- 22:57Speaker 14: hours they took it all down and said YMCA Nationally
- 23:01Speaker 14: does not provide such guidance and it's up to each
- 23:04Speaker 14: of our branches. And so then we've stayed on it,
- 23:07Speaker 14: and unfortunately, our findings this year have found not only
- 23:10Speaker 14: that these policies across the US have not improved, but
- 23:14Speaker 14: that they've also doubled down and now applied to many
- 23:16Speaker 14: summer camps across the countries, which means that places where
- 23:19Speaker 14: girls have overnight accommodations in many places, there are also
- 23:24Speaker 14: boys allowed in those, and male counselors who identify as
- 23:28Speaker 14: female could be bumped in a cabin with young girls.
- 23:32Speaker 9: The thing that bothers me about all this is we're
- 23:35Speaker 9: supposed to just suspend all common sense because on one
- 23:39Speaker 9: side of it they kind of claim that women are
- 23:42Speaker 9: always to be believed, that we should always trust her
- 23:45Speaker 9: intuition all those things, And on the other side, never,
- 23:49Speaker 9: under any circumstances, under no conditions whatsoever would a man
- 23:54Speaker 9: lie in order to gain.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Access to a naked woman.
- 23:58Speaker 9: They would never would ever say that they identify as
- 24:02Speaker 9: something so that they can see women changing into their
- 24:05Speaker 9: bathing suits.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I'm sorry, what right.
- 24:07Speaker 14: The other thing that makes it so different with the YMCA,
- 24:11Speaker 14: and why we're particularly focused on them, is, of course,
- 24:13Speaker 14: as you mentioned at the top, the family component.
- 24:16Speaker 7: This is not you know, a Planet Fitness or.
- 24:18Speaker 4: A Gold gym.
- 24:20Speaker 14: You know, this is where there are youth sports and
- 24:23Speaker 14: programs in sleep away camps. But beyond that, the YMCA
- 24:26Speaker 14: uniquely also receives hundreds of millions of dollars a year
- 24:29Speaker 14: in federal funding, so that requires them to be compliant
- 24:33Speaker 14: with Title nine, which they are not, and so unlike
- 24:37Speaker 14: a planet fitness or something that's a private business. There
- 24:40Speaker 14: are actually mechanisms of enforcement here if we can pull
- 24:44Speaker 14: the right levers, get the attention of the right people,
- 24:46Speaker 14: where that's a substantial amount of federal funding to lose
- 24:50Speaker 14: for their complete denial of all things to you know,
- 24:54Speaker 14: Title nine in common sense.
- 24:56Speaker 7: And we know that they're seeing.
- 24:58Speaker 14: It because every single time we put out a report,
- 25:00Speaker 14: they delete it, even from these branches within hours, and
- 25:05Speaker 14: so you know that's that's kind of been our mission
- 25:07Speaker 14: right now.
- 25:08Speaker 4: We're banging the drum.
- 25:08Speaker 14: We've been in contact with some of the agencies in
- 25:12Speaker 14: the administration trying to get in front of the right
- 25:15Speaker 14: people and get this funding pulled.
- 25:17Speaker 9: I'm so glad that you are because to me, I mean,
- 25:20Speaker 9: I think it's probably already happened and we just haven't
- 25:22Speaker 9: heard about it yet. But there will eventually be horror
- 25:25Speaker 9: stories that come out from sleep away camps, from these
- 25:29Speaker 9: sports programs where girls are going to be sexually assaulted
- 25:33Speaker 9: in these circumstances where there's a male counselor where there's
- 25:36Speaker 9: males in their bunks. I had a friend called me
- 25:39Speaker 9: the other day her son was about to get on
- 25:41Speaker 9: a plane to go to a sleep away program in Massachusetts,
- 25:45Speaker 9: and she found out the day before that that the
- 25:49Speaker 9: sleep away camp had a policy that they would house
- 25:51Speaker 9: people according to gender identity. And so she asked the
- 25:54Speaker 9: summer camp, will there be a biological female in my
- 25:57Speaker 9: son's bunk? And they refuse to answer that question. Yeah,
- 26:01Speaker 9: and so she, against her better judgment, put him on
- 26:04Speaker 9: put him on the plane, and he got there, and
- 26:06Speaker 9: she said, I want to talk to my son when
- 26:07Speaker 9: he arrives, because I want to ascertain what the situation is,
- 26:10Speaker 9: because you won't tell me. And he told her, there's
- 26:14Speaker 9: a girl in my bunk. She's very obviously a girl,
- 26:17Speaker 9: and I'm uncomfortable. And now she's like, what do I do?
- 26:20Speaker 9: And so now every boy is waiting in line to
- 26:26Speaker 9: change and everything, and they wait for her to shower
- 26:28Speaker 9: by herself, because even boys are uncomfortable with this notion.
- 26:33Speaker 9: We separate the sexes for a reason, and it's safety,
- 26:36Speaker 9: but it's also just like basic comfort, especially at that age, right,
- 26:40Speaker 9: And I think that's what gets lost a lot in
- 26:44Speaker 9: this conversation is when you're also when you're talking about discrimination,
- 26:48Speaker 9: it doesn't necessarily have to be a physical act or
- 26:51Speaker 9: an assault, it's discomfort and when those accommodations fall mostly
- 26:57Speaker 9: on one sex, and in this case it's it's predominantly
- 26:59Speaker 9: fee that in itself is discrimination. And a point that
- 27:04Speaker 9: I always love to raise in these conversations is we
- 27:06Speaker 9: spend a lot of time talking about the women.
- 27:08Speaker 7: Who lose the podium spots, and rightfully so.
- 27:12Speaker 14: But those women, you know, there's going to be opportunities
- 27:15Speaker 14: for them.
- 27:16Speaker 4: It's the girls who.
- 27:16Speaker 14: Get cut to make the place for the boys who
- 27:20Speaker 14: lose the opportunities for those friendships and for the mentoring.
- 27:22Speaker 14: And it's really a big loss in the early stages
- 27:25Speaker 14: of athletics for girls.
- 27:27Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm so glad that you flagged this because I'm sure.
- 27:29Speaker 9: I mean, I'm Weinstein member and I work in this
- 27:32Speaker 9: industry and I didn't.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Even know this.
- 27:34Speaker 9: I really encourage people to ask their local gyms, their
- 27:37Speaker 9: sleepway camps, anywhere they send their kids, is this a
- 27:40Speaker 9: policy because it is a lot of places and surprisingly
- 27:45Speaker 9: so so thank you so much for exposing this and
- 27:48Speaker 9: trying to take the administration to take account because this
- 27:52Speaker 9: is critically critically important.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Thanks for having me.
- 28:08Speaker 15: Here.
- 28:08Speaker 11: He is from New York. Kevin.
- 28:13Speaker 9: Kevin mccullo. Hello, and welcome back to that Kevin. As
- 28:21Speaker 9: you remember, I'm not that Kevin. I'm that Bethany, Bethany Mandel,
- 28:25Speaker 9: host of the mom Wars podcast, and I am joined
- 28:28Speaker 9: by a friend of mine. This was so fun when
- 28:30Speaker 9: I decided to host the show because I was like,
- 28:32Speaker 9: I'm just gonna ask all my friends to come on
- 28:34Speaker 9: and talk about all the cool things they are doing.
- 28:36Speaker 9: And so I am joined by my friend Oish Skinner.
- 28:39Speaker 9: In addition to being his friend, which should be in
- 28:41Speaker 9: his bio. I guess I should also mention he's the
- 28:44Speaker 9: executive director of Alliance for Consumers and he released a
- 28:49Speaker 9: what like thirty five page report about DEI in all.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Things, but in this circumstance, it's law fair, right.
- 28:58Speaker 10: That's exactly right.
- 28:59Speaker 16: I mean a lot of what we're talking about in
- 29:01Speaker 16: this report is how a lot of the things that
- 29:03Speaker 16: were dying in state legislatures or in Congress, or when
- 29:07Speaker 16: the Trump administration took over and Biden left office that
- 29:10Speaker 16: they couldn't shove through, whether it was race mandates or
- 29:14Speaker 16: whether it was you know, references for certain groups, racial
- 29:18Speaker 16: hiring commitments, those things all were dying. And so what
- 29:22Speaker 16: you've seen is a big push to push them through
- 29:24Speaker 16: in courts. You've got left wing trial layers and left
- 29:27Speaker 16: wing activists who are going around and suing companies. And
- 29:29Speaker 16: they might sue over something that's like a totally normal case,
- 29:33Speaker 16: like somebody who you know, some sort of an aspect
- 29:36Speaker 16: of a company's operations, and then they'll what they'll get
- 29:39Speaker 16: from the settlement will be like one hundred million dollars
- 29:42Speaker 16: for diversity equity and inclusion at Google with the new
- 29:44Speaker 16: diversity equity and inclusion chief and audits being conducted by
- 29:48Speaker 16: left wing groups that are getting paid to do it,
- 29:50Speaker 16: And all of a sudden, you just realize that their
- 29:52Speaker 16: plan is to use the courts to get what they
- 29:54Speaker 16: want and to impose their you know, social parameters and
- 29:58Speaker 16: their preferences. And that part of why we've seen this
- 30:01Speaker 16: big shift in America in the last ten years is
- 30:04Speaker 16: because of this lawsuit apparatus that is shoving everybody into
- 30:08Speaker 16: mandatory left wing policy choices.
- 30:11Speaker 9: I think that I went into the long wrong line
- 30:13Speaker 9: of work because I really should have been like corporate
- 30:15Speaker 9: DEI those people really make bank, and I'm happy.
- 30:18Speaker 16: They make bank, and they and what's crazy is they
- 30:22Speaker 16: are able to push policies that then send money to
- 30:25Speaker 16: all their friends and allies, right, right, So it's like
- 30:28Speaker 16: a double function.
- 30:29Speaker 9: Right, So this was my next question. I mean, I
- 30:32Speaker 9: don't really care about Google. I don't care that they're
- 30:35Speaker 9: forced to pay a hundred million dollars, And I need
- 30:38Speaker 9: you to convince me that this actually matters to me. Like,
- 30:41Speaker 9: what difference does it make if they're spending one hundred
- 30:43Speaker 9: million dollars on DEI what does that do to me
- 30:46Speaker 9: as an American?
- 30:47Speaker 16: Yeah, so what's crazy is if they were sending one
- 30:50Speaker 16: hundred million dollars and putting it in a wood schipper.
- 30:52Speaker 16: I think maybe you and I would just both be like,
- 30:54Speaker 16: I guess that sucks for you, giant mega death Corp.
- 30:57Speaker 10: Like the again, that's the price of being a mega death.
- 31:01Speaker 16: But why you and I should care is that they
- 31:03Speaker 16: turn around and they blast one hundred million dollars into
- 31:07Speaker 16: HR agencies and outside consultants and third party validation groups
- 31:13Speaker 16: that confirm whether or not you're doing all the right things,
- 31:16Speaker 16: and that stuff shoves out into every other company and
- 31:19Speaker 16: so all of a sudden, the entire HR apparatus of
- 31:21Speaker 16: America is basically a reflection of the most hardcore, crazy
- 31:26Speaker 16: left wing progressives. I mean people spent you know this
- 31:29Speaker 16: a bit, but like people sometimes wake up and realize, like, wait,
- 31:33Speaker 16: why is everybody in corporate America tweeting the exact same
- 31:35Speaker 16: thing and doing the exact same thing. It's because there's
- 31:38Speaker 16: a giant apparatus telling them this is how you get
- 31:40Speaker 16: the good positive responses, this is how you get safety
- 31:44Speaker 16: from government agencies. And when Google pumps one hundred million
- 31:48Speaker 16: dollars into this and they hire a new DEI chief
- 31:51Speaker 16: inside Google, Google's.
- 31:53Speaker 10: Team shifts to look like that person.
- 31:55Speaker 16: And they spend the money and make everybody else look
- 31:57Speaker 16: like that person, and then their vendors.
- 32:00Speaker 10: So this is the real part that you'll understand.
- 32:02Speaker 16: Then Google starts to say, if you want to do
- 32:04Speaker 16: business with us, you have to do that. And when
- 32:07Speaker 16: they're the biggest companies in America, all of a sudden,
- 32:09Speaker 16: everybody just starts saying, well, I guess I have to
- 32:11Speaker 16: just dance to dance, and I have to be that
- 32:13Speaker 16: thing and that that invades your life in your home,
- 32:18Speaker 16: no matter where you are, very fast. So and it
- 32:22Speaker 16: all was triggered by left wing trialers and left doing
- 32:25Speaker 16: activists who saw a lawsuit as a way of not
- 32:28Speaker 16: compensating somebody who got wronged, but as unlocking their policy choice.
- 32:32Speaker 9: Yeah, and this is always something that confuses me when
- 32:36Speaker 9: I see it happen in real time, the bud Light
- 32:39Speaker 9: stuff with the Dylan mulvaney thing, when that happened, and
- 32:44Speaker 9: these stories happen everywhere across corporate America. They're making choices
- 32:49Speaker 9: that run opposite what you think is their mandate, which
- 32:53Speaker 9: is to make money. When when bud Light decided to
- 32:56Speaker 9: make a transgender man the face of a camp, pa, me,
- 33:01Speaker 9: as a human who has a brain, thought to myself,
- 33:03Speaker 9: why do you hate money? Why do you think that
- 33:06Speaker 9: that was a good idea? But you're arguing basically like,
- 33:09Speaker 9: this is the origin story of why the bud Lights
- 33:12Speaker 9: of the world decide that Dylan mulvaney is the perfect
- 33:15Speaker 9: face for their company.
- 33:17Speaker 16: Yes, this is the origin story for how all of
- 33:20Speaker 16: that stuff gets inserted into companies where at the bottom line, look,
- 33:24Speaker 16: you and I would probably agree there's certain companies that
- 33:27Speaker 16: sell to niche customers who get massive credibility out of
- 33:32Speaker 16: doing the wokest land acknowledgment, our racial hiring preferences and
- 33:37Speaker 16: free free Palestine, and that's all how we make our money.
- 33:40Speaker 17: Right.
- 33:42Speaker 16: I don't think that those companies necessarily have to stop
- 33:44Speaker 16: being crazy, right, they have to stop doing illegal things.
- 33:48Speaker 16: But the original story is that mindset shifts into the
- 33:51Speaker 16: rest of these companies and it stops being who are
- 33:53Speaker 16: we selling to, and it starts being who are moral stakeholders?
- 33:57Speaker 16: And who are our friends that we need to keys
- 34:00Speaker 16: and who's going to validate that we're meeting the exact
- 34:03Speaker 16: same score that we need on some you know, diversity
- 34:06Speaker 16: and equity and inclusion chart so that we can match
- 34:09Speaker 16: up on some settlement that we agreed to.
- 34:11Speaker 10: Right, that's all the stuff that's in the background.
- 34:13Speaker 9: How many people are there like you out there who
- 34:16Speaker 9: are fighting back against this, Like is this a David
- 34:19Speaker 9: anglife situation for conservatives versus liberals in the law space?
- 34:22Speaker 10: It can be.
- 34:23Speaker 16: But what's interesting is there's a whole cohort of lawyers
- 34:27Speaker 16: who at least acknowledge what risk is and so they
- 34:30Speaker 16: are normally the most reasonable minds in these companies because
- 34:33Speaker 16: they at least can look around and say, you guys,
- 34:36Speaker 16: like we're about to get like we're going to have
- 34:38Speaker 16: huge liability for doing this, right, like the head of
- 34:40Speaker 16: the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, Andrew Lucas always says that
- 34:45Speaker 16: each of these companies has a memo saying that racial
- 34:48Speaker 16: hiring is illegal, and then it ends with but the
- 34:51Speaker 16: likelihood of being enforced against is so low that you
- 34:54Speaker 16: can go ahead.
- 34:54Speaker 10: And do it right.
- 34:55Speaker 16: And so then all it takes is a few people
- 34:57Speaker 16: like in the administration, who suddenly say, well, I'm just
- 35:00Speaker 16: going to enforce against you, and all of a sudden,
- 35:02Speaker 16: the lawyers, you know, they might be liberal, but.
- 35:04Speaker 10: They have to sit there and be like that, we
- 35:07Speaker 10: are in trouble.
- 35:08Speaker 11: And so what's what's.
- 35:10Speaker 16: Interesting is in a battle between the lawyers and the
- 35:13Speaker 16: HR people, the lawyers at least know where the pain
- 35:17Speaker 16: is going to come from, whereas the HR people are
- 35:19Speaker 16: just preaching a gospel of feelings. Yeah, and so you
- 35:23Speaker 16: know the law, the law is not stacked in our favor.
- 35:26Speaker 16: But as against these other polls of power inside corporate America,
- 35:30Speaker 16: you know, you pray for the lawyers.
- 35:32Speaker 4: I don't think that phrase has ever been uttered in America.
- 35:34Speaker 10: In a history. I did that just for you. I
- 35:36Speaker 10: did that just for you.
- 35:38Speaker 4: And you did this show just for me. Thank you
- 35:39Speaker 4: so much. For coming on.
- 35:40Speaker 9: This was fascinating and godspeed because it kind of feels
- 35:44Speaker 9: David and thanks, thank you.
- 35:48Speaker 18: Stick around for more of than Kevin next serving it
- 36:02Speaker 18: up with a no drink metal.
- 36:05Speaker 9: If it's that cabin that show, Hello, this is not
- 36:10Speaker 9: that Kevin today, this show is renamed That Bethany Show.
- 36:15Speaker 9: My name is Bethany Mandel and I am filling in
- 36:18Speaker 9: for Kevin this week and I wanted to share with
- 36:21Speaker 9: you one of my favorite stories that came out sort
- 36:25Speaker 9: of in the lifestyle sections.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Of the internet this week.
- 36:29Speaker 9: It is about a woman who did something that I
- 36:34Speaker 9: did and I do not recommend that you do. She
- 36:38Speaker 9: accidentally gave birth in her car. These stories come out,
- 36:43Speaker 9: I don't know, every couple of months. And this woman
- 36:47Speaker 9: was at a Jack in the Box. She's a California mom,
- 36:52Speaker 9: and she was turned away from the hospital twice. She
- 36:56Speaker 9: was in southern California, in Orange County, and she was
- 37:00Speaker 9: at the hospital not once but twice, and they said, no, ma'am,
- 37:03Speaker 9: come back when you're ready to have your baby. And
- 37:06Speaker 9: so she's on her way home and getting Jack in
- 37:10Speaker 9: the box, as you do when you're in labor. You're like,
- 37:12Speaker 9: you know what, I could go for a burger. Maybe
- 37:15Speaker 9: it was her husband, I'm not sure, but whoever's fault
- 37:17Speaker 9: it was, that baby came fast.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I am going to.
- 37:23Speaker 9: Guess that this was not her first baby, so any
- 37:26Speaker 9: first time parents out there, this is very unlikely to happen.
- 37:29Speaker 9: But what was funny was she thought it was, you know,
- 37:32Speaker 9: fake contractions, they're called Braxton Hicks contractions, and they started
- 37:37Speaker 9: to get a little bit more strong, and so she
- 37:40Speaker 9: was making her way back to the hospital and that
- 37:44Speaker 9: baby decided that it was not going to wait, and
- 37:48Speaker 9: it came in the parking lot of that Jack in
- 37:50Speaker 9: the Box. So that happened to me with my third child.
- 37:54Speaker 9: I had sent also, I had been sent home from
- 37:56Speaker 9: the hospital twice the day before the morning and in
- 37:58Speaker 9: the evening, and they said to me, basically, you ma'am,
- 38:03Speaker 9: are too stupid to know when you are in labor.
- 38:05Speaker 9: Come back when your water breaks. And so that night
- 38:09Speaker 9: I went home. I got home at one o'clock in
- 38:10Speaker 9: the morning, and I went to sleep, and I woke
- 38:13Speaker 9: up and my water broke, and my husband, blessed his heart,
- 38:18Speaker 9: stayed in bed for approximately five more minutes, which was
- 38:21Speaker 9: in retrospect, I guess it didn't matter. It didn't matter
- 38:25Speaker 9: that he stayed in bed five more minutes, because we
- 38:26Speaker 9: weren't even close to the hospital by the time I
- 38:28Speaker 9: actually went into labor and delivered the baby. But here's
- 38:33Speaker 9: where I disagree with my husband's decision making process. So
- 38:36Speaker 9: we were on Route one for anyone familiar in New Jersey,
- 38:41Speaker 9: and we were driving south to Princeton Hospital, which is
- 38:44Speaker 9: where I had my baby. That's not just where doctor
- 38:46Speaker 9: House works, but they actually have a functioning hospital in
- 38:48Speaker 9: Princeton that I would have loved to make it too,
- 38:50Speaker 9: because it is a very nice hospital. And I felt
- 38:56Speaker 9: ahead and I said, I think game's over, my friend,
- 38:59Speaker 9: I think it's time to pull over. And my husband
- 39:01Speaker 9: had a choice in front of him, and it sounds
- 39:04Speaker 9: like this woman's husband did too. He could go into
- 39:07Speaker 9: the parking lot of an autobody shop that was not gravel.
- 39:11Speaker 9: It was ton it was not paved. I'm sorry, it
- 39:13Speaker 9: was all gravel. There's tons of dust all around. And
- 39:19Speaker 9: then there was a McDonald's where people were driving through
- 39:21Speaker 9: and getting their breakfast, and that parking lot was paved.
- 39:24Speaker 9: And he made the calculation in his head that he
- 39:27Speaker 9: thought I would not want an audience, and so he
- 39:29Speaker 9: pulled into the parking lot with gravel and we gave
- 39:33Speaker 9: birth a loan, which I guess is better than you know,
- 39:36Speaker 9: people getting their morning coffee in the morning. But then
- 39:39Speaker 9: when he came out, he was covered in dust, which
- 39:44Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 39:44Speaker 4: I don't think is so healthy.
- 39:46Speaker 9: This woman, the paramedics actually showed up for her, must
- 39:52Speaker 9: be nice, is what I have to say to that.
- 39:54Speaker 9: Because the police showed up about five minutes after my
- 39:58Speaker 9: son was born, and then the paramedics another ten minutes
- 40:02Speaker 9: after that. She had firefighters who came and she had
- 40:07Speaker 9: a whole audience.
- 40:08Speaker 4: I think that.
- 40:09Speaker 9: I mean, if you're going to give birth in a
- 40:11Speaker 9: parking lot, I think an audience is probably better if
- 40:15Speaker 9: they're medical professionals. So welcome to the world to this baby.
- 40:20Speaker 9: I don't remember her name, but hopefully it's not Jack.
- 40:25Speaker 9: But I'm so excited for this couple. And I recommend
- 40:28Speaker 9: folks stay closer to the hospital when they send you home,
- 40:31Speaker 9: because those folks don't know what they're doing.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Somewhere in the vowels of the City that Never sleeps.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough radio host with Sailor Medium Because a man
- 40:56Speaker 2: also not sleeping, and that guy would like a word review.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Many of you know him when as looks for Damas.
- 41:06Speaker 11: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 41:08Speaker 1: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 41:09Speaker 1: be that Donald Show.
- 41:10Speaker 13: We don't have that.
- 41:11Speaker 6: So we have That Kevin Show featuring the music of
- 41:15Speaker 6: Dick Tunney and the Dream in Color Orchestra, straight ahead,
- 41:29Speaker 6: everything you need to know about the top headlines of
- 41:32Speaker 6: the day, and a perspective that will give you some
- 41:35Speaker 6: eternity to it. Plus practical tips for family life, spiritual life,
- 41:41Speaker 6: and good old regular life. It's Kenn McCollough Monday through
- 41:46Speaker 6: Friday on That Kevin Show.
- 41:55Speaker 8: And now from the Connors in Sullivan Broadcast Studios.
- 41:58Speaker 1: The man who is not what if he wants to be,
- 42:02Speaker 1: that is very grateful. That is not who he used
- 42:05Speaker 1: to be too.
- 42:11Speaker 9: Hello, and welcome back to the second hour of That
- 42:14Speaker 9: Kevin Show. I don't know if you can tell, hopefully
- 42:17Speaker 9: you can, this is not Kevin McCullough. I don't think
- 42:19Speaker 9: that this is what Kevin's voice sounds like. My name
- 42:22Speaker 9: is Bethany Mandel. You probably recognize my voice if you
- 42:26Speaker 9: listen to the show regularly, especially on Fridays because I
- 42:29Speaker 9: love to join Kevin on this show and he crazy
- 42:34Speaker 9: crazy took a vacation and decided, of all people to
- 42:37Speaker 9: hand me the mic for the day, and so here
- 42:40Speaker 9: I am, and I've been joined by so many incredible guests.
- 42:43Speaker 9: There's more to come, but I want to sort of
- 42:47Speaker 9: expand on the last hour's conversation about this invasion that
- 42:51Speaker 9: we're seeing in Spain right now, and so just to
- 42:54Speaker 9: recap in Spain, starting on Thursday night and going into Friday,
- 43:00Speaker 9: we're on day two of this invasion. There are tens
- 43:03Speaker 9: of thousands of migrants from North Africa, mostly Algeria and Morocco,
- 43:09Speaker 9: who are pouring over the border. And the left wing
- 43:12Speaker 9: government in Spain have decided basically to commit suicide and
- 43:18Speaker 9: allow this to happen. And there are European governments who
- 43:24Speaker 9: are saying, wait a second. Italy has and Finland has
- 43:28Speaker 9: as well said if this is how Spain is going
- 43:32Speaker 9: to police their borders, then we're going to start policeing
- 43:35Speaker 9: our border with Spain. And so I think that we're
- 43:37Speaker 9: going to see more countries in Europe make that declaration
- 43:42Speaker 9: that their free, their visa free agreement with Spain is
- 43:47Speaker 9: now up for debate because they can't have tens of
- 43:51Speaker 9: thousands of more migrants, because this is a problem across
- 43:54Speaker 9: Europe pouring into Europe through Spain. And so this is
- 43:59Speaker 9: a story that we're going to be watching. And the
- 44:01Speaker 9: White House has released a statement as well. Late on
- 44:05Speaker 9: Thursday night, President Trump released this statement. President Trump has
- 44:09Speaker 9: long warned Europe what would happen if they continue to
- 44:13Speaker 9: implement far left globalist policy policies, including enabling mass migration.
- 44:19Speaker 9: Spain and other countries who have adopted this destructive philosophy
- 44:23Speaker 9: should immediately reverse course or risk.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Their own demise.
- 44:27Speaker 9: And that's something that has been a theme not just
- 44:32Speaker 9: in Europe, but here in America as well. One of
- 44:35Speaker 9: my favorite Fox News personalities, Bill Malujin, tweeted when all
- 44:41Speaker 9: of these videos started emerging out of Spain.
- 44:44Speaker 4: He tweeted, I saw this too.
- 44:46Speaker 9: I saw this in Del Rio in twenty twenty one
- 44:50Speaker 9: in Texas when there was a similar surge of Haitians
- 44:53Speaker 9: coming over the border into America. And Bill made this point,
- 44:57Speaker 9: and I really want to sort of delve int to
- 45:00Speaker 9: this in this in this segment, he said, this is
- 45:03Speaker 9: what the DSA socialist platform looks like in practice, but
- 45:07Speaker 9: in another country. No borders, no immigration enforcement, complete freedom
- 45:12Speaker 9: of movement without resistance from the government.
- 45:17Speaker 4: This is not hyperbole.
- 45:18Speaker 9: This is not a bill mallusion sort of making things
- 45:22Speaker 9: up out of thin air.
- 45:23Speaker 4: This is the future that the DSA wants. I'm going
- 45:26Speaker 4: to pull a clip now.
- 45:29Speaker 9: It's a mashup of DSA members across the country telling
- 45:33Speaker 9: you what they believe, and we need to listen to them.
- 45:36Speaker 14: And you know, we have a unique responsibility to act
- 45:39Speaker 14: from the from the heart of empire, the belly of
- 45:41Speaker 14: the beast. That the most important thing that we can
- 45:43Speaker 14: do is take that entire down from within.
- 45:46Speaker 5: Our role ultimately is to to facilitate our own empire's
- 45:50Speaker 5: failure in ways that we can ultimately to overthrow our
- 45:54Speaker 5: own empire.
- 45:55Speaker 10: Imperialism is us.
- 45:57Speaker 16: Imperialism is not a thing that can be reformed away
- 45:59Speaker 16: if it has to be overthrown through revolutionary struggle and.
- 46:04Speaker 3: To build a mass movement that can use the leverage
- 46:06Speaker 3: of workers to hit the kill switch on American imperialism
- 46:11Speaker 3: here within the American empire.
- 46:13Speaker 9: This is from the Canary Mission, who have been tracking
- 46:18Speaker 9: what the DSA is saying across the country and on
- 46:23Speaker 9: those clips they were they were You can find it
- 46:27Speaker 9: at the Canary Mission's Twitter account. It's it's pinned right
- 46:31Speaker 9: at the top because this is this is a huge
- 46:33Speaker 9: concern for them, But this is what they're saying.
- 46:37Speaker 4: This is what they're saying when they go on national television.
- 46:40Speaker 9: Last week in In on Fox News on Shannon breen Show,
- 46:45Speaker 9: the one of the members of the DSA got on
- 46:48Speaker 9: camera and sort of listed her demands for what the
- 46:51Speaker 9: DSAY want to do in UH in America and what
- 46:55Speaker 9: their plan is.
- 46:56Speaker 19: Uh.
- 46:57Speaker 9: This is the action item that the DSA National co Chair,
- 47:02Speaker 9: Megan Romer listed on Shannon Breeen's show. Abolish the Senate,
- 47:07Speaker 9: replace the Presidency and the Supreme Court, Abolish ice, Abolish
- 47:11Speaker 9: borders as a long term plan, Abolish the Pentagon, Abolish
- 47:15Speaker 9: prisons as a long term plan. Government ownership of large corporations.
- 47:20Speaker 9: This is the DSA plan. The national co chair set
- 47:25Speaker 9: it on national television. And I think that there's probably
- 47:28Speaker 9: a lot of people out here who are thinking, but
- 47:30Speaker 9: they're never going to get power, Like why is Bethany
- 47:33Speaker 9: and why are all these conservative commentators yelling into the
- 47:36Speaker 9: wind when obviously this is not going to happen. This
- 47:39Speaker 9: is not a risk to us. Well, it is because
- 47:41Speaker 9: we're seeing it play out in real time in Spain
- 47:45Speaker 9: and they want that here in America. And they're actually
- 47:48Speaker 9: very successful. The DSA have developed a plan where they
- 47:52Speaker 9: place candidates of theirs who are highly funded and well
- 47:56Speaker 9: produced in areas where they can win democratic primaries. These
- 48:01Speaker 9: are low turnout primaries in blue areas, and so the
- 48:04Speaker 9: strategy is and it's brilliant. You have to give them that.
- 48:08Speaker 9: They put someone in, they bankroll them, they make sure
- 48:11Speaker 9: they have the ability to pass through the primary, and
- 48:14Speaker 9: then they're always going to win no matter. This is
- 48:18Speaker 9: a joke, but it's not really hyperbole that if Adolf
- 48:22Speaker 9: Hitler won a Democratic primary in a place like Montgomery County, Maryland,
- 48:26Speaker 9: where I live, he would be elected. And maybe, actually
- 48:29Speaker 9: I shouldn't use Adolf Hitler as an example, because that
- 48:31Speaker 9: actually might be appealing. I mean, as we saw in
- 48:35Speaker 9: Maine with a candidate who was sporting a Nazi tattoo,
- 48:39Speaker 9: that was not disqualifying because this is part of their
- 48:43Speaker 9: national platform. It's hatred not of Israel, not of Apex.
- 48:47Speaker 9: Sure they say those things, but it's hatred of Jews.
- 48:50Speaker 9: It's why Canary Mission is called Canary mission actually because
- 48:55Speaker 9: the Jews are the canary in the coal mine. And
- 48:57Speaker 9: there's so many people who say, I don't I don't
- 49:00Speaker 9: really care what happens, because first they came for the
- 49:04Speaker 9: Jews and then they stopped there. That's not how the
- 49:07Speaker 9: saying goes. First they came for the Jews, and then
- 49:09Speaker 9: they're coming for you. They're coming for the West, and
- 49:13Speaker 9: they're explicitly telling us what they plan to do. And
- 49:17Speaker 9: we're watching this sort of transpiring Europe, and I honestly,
- 49:22Speaker 9: I think it's too late for Europe. I think that
- 49:24Speaker 9: it's a lost cause. And I wish them the best
- 49:27Speaker 9: of luck. And we need to elect people here that
- 49:31Speaker 9: are policing our borders, and thank god we have, but
- 49:35Speaker 9: in the future, it's not just the borders, the physical
- 49:39Speaker 9: borders that we have in Texas and in Canada, but
- 49:41Speaker 9: it's also making sure that those mean people who are
- 49:47Speaker 9: questioning anyone who's coming in flying in are not Islamists
- 49:52Speaker 9: who are not planning on disrupting our way of life here.
- 49:57Speaker 4: This situation.
- 49:58Speaker 9: We're going to continue having conversation on the show and elsewhere,
- 50:02Speaker 9: but this situation in Spain is a very interesting case
- 50:05Speaker 9: study because we are watching what happens in real time
- 50:10Speaker 9: when borders disappear, and I'm curious to see if European
- 50:13Speaker 9: countries stand up and start saying enough is enough, because
- 50:17Speaker 9: it is long pastime that they do.
- 50:19Speaker 14: So.
- 50:20Speaker 9: Coming up in the next hour, we're going to be
- 50:22Speaker 9: talking to so many more guests about We're going to
- 50:25Speaker 9: be talking to Justin Hart about Anthony Fauci and my
- 50:28Speaker 9: friend Nicki Neely about the horrifying situation in Minnesota with
- 50:34Speaker 9: schools rolling out something called my gender dolls.
- 50:38Speaker 20: It's not great.
- 50:55Speaker 15: Here.
- 50:55Speaker 11: He is from New York. That's that Kevin, Kevin McCom.
- 51:02Speaker 4: This is that Kevin show. I'm not that Kevin.
- 51:05Speaker 9: This is the Bethany Mandel Friend Radio Hour Part two.
- 51:10Speaker 9: I'm joined by one of my dearest friends today. It's
- 51:13Speaker 9: so convenient that all of my friends are interesting and
- 51:15Speaker 9: do important things, or this would be a very boring show.
- 51:19Speaker 9: I'm joined for this segment by one of my dearest friends,
- 51:23Speaker 9: Nicki Neely. She is the president of Defending Education and
- 51:27Speaker 9: is doing incredible work doing just that. So it's a
- 51:30Speaker 9: really well named organization. First of all, Nikki, well thank
- 51:33Speaker 9: you well done.
- 51:34Speaker 21: Initially, I was going to be parents protecting Education, and
- 51:37Speaker 21: somebody said, since we launched in twenty twenty one, the
- 51:40Speaker 21: acronym is PPE. That's not a good idea, and I
- 51:42Speaker 21: thank them for that.
- 51:44Speaker 4: That's true.
- 51:44Speaker 9: And it's not just parents defending education, it's grandparents, it's
- 51:47Speaker 9: concerned citizens. There's so many people that are defending education.
- 51:52Speaker 4: And you are.
- 51:55Speaker 9: You just announced this incredible, crazy story that I'm just
- 52:00Speaker 9: going to give the top line of and then I
- 52:01Speaker 9: want you to just dive in and explain, like, what
- 52:04Speaker 9: is this insanity? Because it sounds made up if we're
- 52:06Speaker 9: just being honest. Yes, the Department of Education open an
- 52:10Speaker 9: investigation into Minnesota's planned rollout of something called my Gender
- 52:14Speaker 9: Dolls into I'm sorry so after your you guys filed
- 52:20Speaker 9: a federal complaint alleging that the program violates the Protection
- 52:24Speaker 9: of Pupils Rights Amendment, which really, it's just like it
- 52:27Speaker 9: violates basic sanity. The transgender dolls are designed for children
- 52:33Speaker 9: as young as four years old and include I swear
- 52:37Speaker 9: to God, I'm not making this up, interchangeable body parts, clothing, hairstyles,
- 52:42Speaker 9: and removable genitalia. It's funded by Governor Tim Waltz, and
- 52:49Speaker 9: it's intended to help children explore gender identity through therapeutic play.
- 52:56Speaker 9: What is happening in Minnesota, Niki? You have first of all,
- 52:58Speaker 9: how did you find out about this? That's my first question.
- 53:02Speaker 21: No, you know, we work with a network of parents
- 53:04Speaker 21: across the country, so we have whistleblowers everywhere. I feel
- 53:06Speaker 21: a little bit like in that movie Left the Mohicans,
- 53:10Speaker 21: like I Will find You. So we hear about stuff
- 53:13Speaker 21: all of the time. And so yeah, this program that
- 53:16Speaker 21: my gender dolls were developed by the Gender Studies Department
- 53:20Speaker 21: at the University of Minnesota, the Eli Coleman Center, a
- 53:23Speaker 21: center where coincidentally, some of the lead researchers there have
- 53:26Speaker 21: been very involved in creating the w PATH Standards on
- 53:30Speaker 21: gender interchangeability, gender bending. And also they have put out
- 53:34Speaker 21: research papers saying puberty blockers hormones are completely reversible, have
- 53:39Speaker 21: no impact on child bodies, which, as you and.
- 53:41Speaker 7: I know, is fake news, as the saying says.
- 53:44Speaker 21: And so for them, maybe putting out a doll like
- 53:47Speaker 21: this where you can just swap out genitalia, you know,
- 53:50Speaker 21: as easy as you would on like a mister potato
- 53:52Speaker 21: head is it's in line, but it is both incorrect
- 53:57Speaker 21: as well as frankly immoral. And the fact that this
- 53:59Speaker 21: is play to be rolled out to children between the
- 54:02Speaker 21: ages of four to ten, to practitioners, teachers, educators, therapists,
- 54:06Speaker 21: et cetera is astonishing. And so these parents in Minnesota
- 54:10Speaker 21: reach out to us. They were concerned about this because
- 54:12Speaker 21: guess what.
- 54:13Speaker 7: Parents do have rights.
- 54:14Speaker 21: Parents are entitled under federal law to be notified when
- 54:18Speaker 21: schools raise issues about sex and gender.
- 54:21Speaker 7: Families were not notified.
- 54:23Speaker 21: School board members in the state of Minnesota, who we
- 54:25Speaker 21: also spoke to, were also not notified. They don't want
- 54:27Speaker 21: these in their school districts as well, and so we
- 54:30Speaker 21: flagged this for the Education Department because we think there
- 54:32Speaker 21: are real rights violations going on and the fact that
- 54:35Speaker 21: this is being used tax dollars are being used to
- 54:38Speaker 21: fund this and put it into schools is truly insult
- 54:40Speaker 21: to injury to parents like you and I.
- 54:42Speaker 9: It's wild and this is I mean, one of the
- 54:45Speaker 9: things that really bothers me about these conversations is and
- 54:49Speaker 9: I think that in the Supreme Court decision about Mommoda
- 54:53Speaker 9: versus Taylor, the Supreme Court justices really hit the nail
- 54:57Speaker 9: on the head because you're forced you you don't have
- 55:00Speaker 9: the resources to homeschool or private school. You are forced
- 55:04Speaker 9: into this situation. This is not And the opponents of
- 55:08Speaker 9: it were like, well, then just don't send your kids
- 55:09Speaker 9: to school. I'm sorry, that's not legal. You can't just
- 55:12Speaker 9: not send your children to school.
- 55:14Speaker 21: Yes, And the Supreme Court for one hundred years, I mean,
- 55:16Speaker 21: they have been unequivocally clear, there is very very clear
- 55:19Speaker 21: jurisprudence parents have a right to direct the care and upbringing.
- 55:23Speaker 7: Up their children.
- 55:24Speaker 21: And for school districts across the country for many years,
- 55:27Speaker 21: I mean, you know, before COVID, after COVID, right, this
- 55:30Speaker 21: has been taking place for a long time where they
- 55:32Speaker 21: have said, you know what, you know, Sorry, you guys,
- 55:34Speaker 21: we know better than you do. We're just going to
- 55:36Speaker 21: take it from here. And that's just that's just not
- 55:39Speaker 21: what the law says.
- 55:40Speaker 9: So what are so the Department of Education opened this investigation,
- 55:44Speaker 9: like what what conceivably would be the next steps here?
- 55:48Speaker 21: Yeah, I mean they'll they'll open an investigation, they'll figure
- 55:50Speaker 21: out kind of what the size and the scope of
- 55:52Speaker 21: this is, how the program is funded being planned to
- 55:55Speaker 21: be disseminated, Where is it if this has gone out
- 55:58Speaker 21: to children or those families notified, did those families buy in?
- 56:02Speaker 7: Families?
- 56:02Speaker 21: Are they have to opt into this? This can't just
- 56:05Speaker 21: they can't just experiment with these dolls on kids and
- 56:08Speaker 21: say have that.
- 56:10Speaker 7: But it's interesting because.
- 56:10Speaker 21: I work with a terrific team of researchers who have
- 56:13Speaker 21: found materials from conferences where these my gender doll creators
- 56:17Speaker 21: have presented bragged about using that. You know, when kids
- 56:21Speaker 21: have access to these dolls, they play with them, even
- 56:24Speaker 21: if they're not gender diverse. They you know, they really
- 56:27Speaker 21: they're really interested in them. And so yeah, this is
- 56:30Speaker 21: happening to kids. And if if a child who is
- 56:32Speaker 21: four years old, who at that point, I mean, they're
- 56:35Speaker 21: not even all potty training. Let's be quite honest, if
- 56:38Speaker 21: they think, wow, it's just as easy as cutting off
- 56:40Speaker 21: one body part and swapping on something else, I mean,
- 56:43Speaker 21: it's really starting to ingrain those opinions that knowledge from
- 56:46Speaker 21: a very young age. Or then parents don't even know
- 56:49Speaker 21: that they have to basically deprogram their children from this
- 56:51Speaker 21: fake information. I mean, this is I put this up
- 56:53Speaker 21: there with like, no, there's no easter bunny, No, there's
- 56:56Speaker 21: no tooth theory. No, if you cut off your Genitalia.
- 56:59Speaker 21: It's just like this is not a consequence free move.
- 57:03Speaker 9: Yeah, And that's what really bothers me about this whole
- 57:05Speaker 9: ideology is that it sold to people as no cost.
- 57:09Speaker 9: And the number of de transitioners we've now heard from
- 57:12Speaker 9: who say, I didn't know that I was rendering myself infertile.
- 57:16Speaker 9: Brianna Wu who is an adult. He's a man, and
- 57:21Speaker 9: you know it is a woman. Now that's not a thing,
- 57:24Speaker 9: but you know, adults do your own.
- 57:26Speaker 4: He posted that he.
- 57:27Speaker 9: Had to have bones taken out of his jaw because
- 57:30Speaker 9: the all the hormones that he was on degenerated his
- 57:33Speaker 9: bone structure to such an extent that entire chunks of
- 57:38Speaker 9: bone had to be removed. Like this is not no cost,
- 57:41Speaker 9: Like this is extraordinarily invasive and harmful on just.
- 57:45Speaker 4: A physical level.
- 57:47Speaker 9: And they're trying to normalize the fact that like this
- 57:49Speaker 9: is just as easy as taking off your shirt and
- 57:52Speaker 9: putting on another shirt.
- 57:54Speaker 21: Yes, no, I mean it does this really is? This
- 57:56Speaker 21: is mister potato had I've been saying mix because that's
- 57:59Speaker 21: I guess the now or the whatever the people use.
- 58:03Speaker 21: But it's it's not that. Yeah, you can't just swap
- 58:05Speaker 21: out like a hat for a different kind of thing.
- 58:07Speaker 21: Once your breasts are gone, they're gone. Yeah, once you
- 58:10Speaker 21: are once your reproductive orders are gone, they're gone. And
- 58:13Speaker 21: as much as we have seen these Frankenstein surgeries being
- 58:16Speaker 21: performed on children kind of as we're experimenting in real time,
- 58:20Speaker 21: we should not be encouraging children to use themselves in
- 58:24Speaker 21: this ongoing medical experimentation.
- 58:26Speaker 9: Yeah, and that's what is sort of I think a
- 58:29Speaker 9: mistake on the part of a lot of conservatives, because
- 58:32Speaker 9: people have said we're at peak woke and that you know,
- 58:35Speaker 9: this is this is going away, We're winning this battle,
- 58:38Speaker 9: and then we see stories like this, we realize, like,
- 58:41Speaker 9: this is not going away. This is not a situation
- 58:44Speaker 9: where we want mom mood, and you know, the culture
- 58:47Speaker 9: is turning. It's it's really not And Minnesota is not
- 58:50Speaker 9: like it's California or New York. Like, are there other
- 58:53Speaker 9: examples of things like this that are happening in places
- 58:56Speaker 9: besides Minnesota?
- 58:57Speaker 4: What are you guys uncovering?
- 58:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I think you're right.
- 59:00Speaker 21: I think I have seen just over the past you know,
- 59:03Speaker 21: eighteen months, responses to the Trump administration's work on gender
- 59:07Speaker 21: and particular falling into three buckets.
- 59:09Speaker 7: The first are the proud resistors.
- 59:11Speaker 21: There are institutions like this, They're going to keep doing
- 59:13Speaker 21: what they're doing. There are the ones who are actually
- 59:15Speaker 21: starting to get rid of some of these things. You know,
- 59:17Speaker 21: we have heard from school districts, school officials, principles, et cetera,
- 59:20Speaker 21: who are frankly a little bit glad to not have
- 59:22Speaker 21: to participate in the charade anymore because they were coerced
- 59:25Speaker 21: by the federal government to do so, because they know
- 59:27Speaker 21: that it is weird that, you know, there are teachers
- 59:29Speaker 21: who don't want to keep secrets from mom and dad
- 59:31Speaker 21: about gender, school districts that don't want to give out
- 59:33Speaker 21: talking underwear to children without parents knowing.
- 59:36Speaker 7: But to me, the biggest.
- 59:37Speaker 21: Group, in the most problematic group, are the ones that
- 59:39Speaker 21: are trying to go underground and just keep doing what
- 59:42Speaker 21: they're doing to wait out the Trump administration. Fortunately, we're
- 59:45Speaker 21: on very firm ground with the courts, you know, the
- 59:47Speaker 21: Supreme Court, the appellate courts have been absolutely unequivocal in
- 59:51Speaker 21: their defense of parental rights. Certainly, we continue to try
- 59:54Speaker 21: and build stronger an additional president in that area, but
- 59:57Speaker 21: even in you know, sort of staring on the barrel
- 59:59Speaker 21: of possibly lou using the House and maybe even the Senate. Fortunately,
- 1:00:02Speaker 21: the Trump administration has been talking about returning education to
- 1:00:05Speaker 21: the states, and I think bigger picture, we need to
- 1:00:07Speaker 21: really look at the states as these laboratories of experimentation.
- 1:00:10Speaker 21: I would love the Attorney's General to take a greater
- 1:00:13Speaker 21: role in oversight of some of these problems and issues
- 1:00:15Speaker 21: that are taking place in their states. And as the
- 1:00:17Speaker 21: federal government tries to wind down and roll back them,
- 1:00:20Speaker 21: it's spending its grant priorities.
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: I would like the states to do the same as well.
- 1:00:23Speaker 21: We sent letters right after the Trump administration came to
- 1:00:26Speaker 21: power asking all the states, can you all please audit
- 1:00:29Speaker 21: your own books. I mean, even in red states like
- 1:00:31Speaker 21: Florida and Texas, you know, there are still a lot
- 1:00:34Speaker 21: of the DEI infrastructure has been scaffolded into place over
- 1:00:38Speaker 21: the course of several decades.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: Even like in the state of.
- 1:00:41Speaker 21: Virginia where I live, there are still DEI hiring our
- 1:00:46Speaker 21: contracting requirements, you know, minority women owned business contracting requirements
- 1:00:50Speaker 21: in states like Texas and so things like that have
- 1:00:52Speaker 21: to be undone because you know, I think just people
- 1:00:55Speaker 21: don't even realize the costs of doing business like. We
- 1:00:58Speaker 21: have to both pull out some of the bad policies,
- 1:01:01Speaker 21: but then also we have to also pull out some
- 1:01:03Speaker 21: of the bad faculty members or administrators who are used
- 1:01:06Speaker 21: to operating this way.
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: Even in the wake of the Students for Fair Admissions
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: decision at.
- 1:01:10Speaker 21: The Supreme Court in twenty twenty three that said you
- 1:01:12Speaker 21: cannot admit students to universities on the basis of race,
- 1:01:15Speaker 21: you have a generation of admissions officers that were brought
- 1:01:17Speaker 21: up under that system, and that's their mindset, and that's
- 1:01:19Speaker 21: why we're.
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: Seeing them start to try and use proxies.
- 1:01:22Speaker 21: To achieve the same ends, because they truly have drunk
- 1:01:24Speaker 21: the kool aid and they believe that that is right.
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: And just NICKI thank you so much for joining me.
- 1:01:28Speaker 9: This is so critically important and terrifying and I appreciate
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: you being on the front lines of it.
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: Ks.
- 1:01:34Speaker 18: Stick around for more of Fat Kevin next here he
- 1:01:56Speaker 18: is from New York. That's Ken Kevin McCulla.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: Welcome back to that Kevin Show. I am not that Kevin.
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: I am Bethany Mandel, and I, in my takeover of
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: the show, decided to just have all of my friends
- 1:02:11Speaker 9: come on and talk to me because that's an easy
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: and fun way to spend my Friday. And so I
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: am joined by my friend Josh Weiner. He is the
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: chief advocacy officer at the North American Values Institute, And
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: I wanted to have you on today because we're seeing
- 1:02:25Speaker 9: this like crazy invasion that's happening. Have you seen this
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: story in Spain?
- 1:02:31Speaker 11: I've seen the video, like the clip.
- 1:02:33Speaker 19: I haven't had a chance to dive deep into the story,
- 1:02:35Speaker 19: but obviously I've been following the mass immigration discussion going
- 1:02:39Speaker 19: on in your episode.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, so this is why I want to have
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: you on.
- 1:02:43Speaker 9: So there's this mass migration that's happening, obviously illegal. They're
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: storming the beaches of the Spanish city and they're mostly
- 1:02:51Speaker 9: coming from Morocco and Algeria. And I loved a video
- 1:02:56Speaker 9: that you put on your Instagram.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: What is your instagram by the way, so we can.
- 1:03:00Speaker 19: Yeah, it's why not Josh w E I n ot Josh,
- 1:03:05Speaker 19: And that's my my AX and my Instagram.
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: So you had a really great video this week about
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: the lgbt's community's reaction to an attack that happened in
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: Berlin against a Pride event. Can you sort of give
- 1:03:21Speaker 9: our audience a little bit of that reaction here on
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: the show.
- 1:03:25Speaker 19: Yeah, and first, thanks for having me. I'm Bethany. I'm
- 1:03:27Speaker 19: honored to be your friend, by the way. But yeah, so,
- 1:03:34Speaker 19: you know, there was this attack on Pride. It was
- 1:03:36Speaker 19: a person who drove a car into a Pride event
- 1:03:41Speaker 19: in Berlin, and astoundingly, the news started to report this
- 1:03:45Speaker 19: as a car just sort of you.
- 1:03:47Speaker 11: Know, ran down people, right, like you know.
- 1:03:50Speaker 19: The car has its own agency, right all of a sudden,
- 1:03:52Speaker 19: because this is the trend, like, you know, we sort
- 1:03:55Speaker 19: of strip agency from people who it's inconvenient to give agency.
- 1:04:00Speaker 11: For our narrative.
- 1:04:01Speaker 19: So the actual truth is that this was an Islamist attacker,
- 1:04:04Speaker 19: someone who had been actually imprisoned in Lebanon previously for
- 1:04:08Speaker 19: inciting religious and sectarian violence in Lebanon. And not only
- 1:04:13Speaker 19: was the mainstream media really not honest about who the
- 1:04:17Speaker 19: attacker was and what the motivations were right away, I
- 1:04:19Speaker 19: think there was like several edits.
- 1:04:22Speaker 11: A reporter from Newsweek.
- 1:04:23Speaker 19: Came and submitted questions to Act up New York about this,
- 1:04:26Speaker 19: and the questions were, you know, how do you separate
- 1:04:29Speaker 19: support for civilians with support for Islamism when you know,
- 1:04:35Speaker 19: you're sort of inviting Palestinianism into Pride events and there's
- 1:04:39Speaker 19: this resulting, you know, terrorist attack, and as is typical
- 1:04:45Speaker 19: of you know, people who are kind of ideological cap
- 1:04:48Speaker 19: ideologically captured on the left, they just called it islamophobic
- 1:04:52Speaker 19: the question itself and then attacked the reporter as islamophobic.
- 1:04:56Speaker 19: And it's really like this gross double standard that these
- 1:05:01Speaker 19: ideologues bring to the table because all I hear about
- 1:05:03Speaker 19: from the gay community is how white nationalism and Christians.
- 1:05:07Speaker 11: Are our biggest threat.
- 1:05:09Speaker 19: Yet when the Islamist equivalent to what they're they're saying
- 1:05:13Speaker 19: is happening in America happens, it's you know, islamophobic to
- 1:05:18Speaker 19: talk about it.
- 1:05:19Speaker 17: Yeah, but it's not like, you know, we have like
- 1:05:21Speaker 17: Christian phobia about you know, attacks on gay people in
- 1:05:26Speaker 17: rural states or trans people to whatever extent that actually happens.
- 1:05:32Speaker 19: So, yeah, I did a video on it. You can
- 1:05:35Speaker 19: you can check it out. It goes a little bit
- 1:05:37Speaker 19: deeper into into the double standard.
- 1:05:39Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:05:40Speaker 9: And one thing that you guys do at North American
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: Values Institute that is critically important is you track this
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: same ideology throughout the K through twelve system.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: You had an incredible.
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: You actually have two incredible pieces recently in the New
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: York Post, and one of them, I think it was
- 1:05:56Speaker 9: actually in the California Post, talked about how this same
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: vein of radicalization is happening with California teachers. Can you
- 1:06:06Speaker 9: speak a little bit to what you're observing in the
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: K through twelve system and like, how alarm is this?
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: Is this a five long fire? Is it a three alarm?
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: How concerned should American parents be?
- 1:06:17Speaker 19: It would be a long discussion to give the full
- 1:06:19Speaker 19: breadth of it, but I'll give you the example that
- 1:06:21Speaker 19: you're talking about, which was I think maybe your listeners
- 1:06:26Speaker 19: will be familiar with Code Pink, which is a very
- 1:06:29Speaker 19: far left organization that is under investigation for ties to
- 1:06:34Speaker 19: for its funding from devil Roy Singham, and it's sort
- 1:06:37Speaker 19: of investigating his ties to the Chinese Communist Party. But
- 1:06:40Speaker 19: they have been very disruptive as an organization, especially calling
- 1:06:45Speaker 19: the war in Gaza genocide even before there was a war,
- 1:06:47Speaker 19: by the way, and they did a webinar that included
- 1:06:52Speaker 19: the California Teachers Association, the largest teachers union, the state
- 1:06:55Speaker 19: leveled teachers union in California, and that webinar essential lead
- 1:07:00Speaker 19: trained teachers on how to use state standards, state standards
- 1:07:04Speaker 19: like social and emotional learning standards or culture responsive education
- 1:07:07Speaker 19: standards to bring political activism into the classroom. And this
- 1:07:11Speaker 19: political activism in particular was a very skewed and unfortunate
- 1:07:16Speaker 19: view of what Zionism is, and also very skewed and
- 1:07:20Speaker 19: unfortunate looks at like you know, the war and Gaza,
- 1:07:24Speaker 19: of course, and also delegitimizing every single Jewish civil rights
- 1:07:29Speaker 19: org that operates in K twelve and encouraging those teachers
- 1:07:32Speaker 19: on how to bring into the classroom and the administration
- 1:07:36Speaker 19: how to get them essentially out of partnerships not have
- 1:07:38Speaker 19: their PD professional development as part of things. So this
- 1:07:42Speaker 19: is an interesting one because we don't often see like
- 1:07:45Speaker 19: the foreign funded entity really like directly working with the teachers' union.
- 1:07:50Speaker 19: Usually it's kind of like they're funding you know, curriculum
- 1:07:53Speaker 19: or something. You know, this is this ends up in classrooms,
- 1:07:57Speaker 19: and that's what we do. We like, we have a
- 1:07:59Speaker 19: K twelve rocker, a substack called the K twelve Extremism
- 1:08:02Speaker 19: Tracker where we show how it shows up in classrooms.
- 1:08:04Speaker 19: And I'd say this is a five alarm fire in
- 1:08:07Speaker 19: Blue Cities Chicago, New York, LA around the DC area
- 1:08:13Speaker 19: a lot, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, but rural area is left.
- 1:08:17Speaker 19: So but I think if you're a Blue city mom,
- 1:08:19Speaker 19: you need.
- 1:08:19Speaker 10: To be paying attention.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
- 1:08:21Speaker 9: So folks can follow the North American Values Institute at
- 1:08:25Speaker 9: Knobby Values both on.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: X and Instagram.
- 1:08:28Speaker 9: Right, that's right, Thank you so much, and so many
- 1:08:31Speaker 9: of your posters collaborated there, so folks can follow you
- 1:08:33Speaker 9: there as well. Thank you so much for taking the time, Josh,
- 1:08:36Speaker 9: I really really appreciate it.
- 1:08:37Speaker 15: Thanks Anthony.
- 1:08:52Speaker 11: Here he is from New York. That's that Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: Back to that Kevin show you now know by now.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: This is not Kevin.
- 1:09:04Speaker 9: This is Bethany Mandel and I am joined by all
- 1:09:07Speaker 9: of my friends for this show. Just decided to call
- 1:09:11Speaker 9: them one after another and said, hey, do you want
- 1:09:12Speaker 9: to hang out? And Anthony Fauci gave my next guest
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: a perfect opening to come on. He is the author
- 1:09:21Speaker 9: of the book Gone Viral, How COVID Drove the World
- 1:09:24Speaker 9: Insane and he also has a sub stack called Rational Ground.
- 1:09:28Speaker 9: And Justin Hart is his name, and he was one
- 1:09:31Speaker 9: of the few rational people during COVID. What are you
- 1:09:36Speaker 9: What are your reactions to this vindication.
- 1:09:40Speaker 11: Week?
- 1:09:41Speaker 9: This is your vindication week, this is this is your
- 1:09:43Speaker 9: best week ever?
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: How are you doing? How are you feeling well?
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: Kind of mixed feelings vindication in that there is this
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: wave of I think general understanding that doctor Fauci is
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: not being on the up and up. That being said,
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: have loved to have the details and many questions that
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: we have for him because the Foyer information that we
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: had that doctor Randon Paul had point to basically what
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: we've all been saying from the front. They had no
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: idea what they were doing. They were shooting from the hip.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: This was a megalomaniac and they got basically everything wrong
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: about Givid, the origin, the shots, the transmission, the masks,
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: the plexiglass. Everything was just a complete fuster cluck, as
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: they say. And I think we really came to know
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: doctor Fauci was just this fanboy looking for a little
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: bit of fame. I read this quote from him this
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: morning where in his journals he says, you know, it's
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: really unfortunate that I can't stop and savor this moment
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: for all the awards I've received, Like direct quote amazing.
- 1:10:51Speaker 9: His narcissism is honestly something to behold. So you followed
- 1:10:56Speaker 9: COVID at like a really really granular level, and we're
- 1:10:59Speaker 9: one of the sort of biggest voices out there at
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: the time, in real time in twenty twenty and twenty
- 1:11:06Speaker 9: twenty one, saying wait a second, but you are not
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: You're not a scientist, Like, how did you come to
- 1:11:13Speaker 9: be this whistleblower, loud voice in the middle of this
- 1:11:17Speaker 9: global pandemic where everyone was bullied into silence.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: Well, I'm a data guy by trade, and I got
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: sick some time ago, and I said, what was this
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: tiny little virus that got in me and almost killed me?
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: And so I looked into it and I said, okay,
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: well I know a little bit more now about this thing.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: I'm not a virologist, not at the doing beingologist, but
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: I know the numbers. And so when COVID came up,
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: I said, something is off, this is not quite right.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: And I was really nervous until about mid February March,
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: when all of a sudden, these Stanford professors like Jay Boticharia,
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: John I and Itis, the most published live doctor in
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: the world, came out and said this is a problem,
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: We're making terrible policy decisions. And I ended up basically
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: hosting a group of ragtag data analysts pro Bow, and
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: we became the backbone for Scott Atlas when he was
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: at the White House. So Scott was there in the
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: summer and we're basically day by day giving him all
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: the data he needed to refute Fauci, to refute Burks.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: And you can see in the journals already Fauci and
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: Burks are really disgusted with doctor Atlas in the summer
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: of twenty twenty and for good reason, and we thought
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: we had on the heels and then President Trump unfortunately
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: lost the election, Scott was out and the rest you
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: know his history.
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: Yeah, So you I'm sure have been going through so
- 1:12:33Speaker 9: much of this testimony and everything that Rand Paul has pulled.
- 1:12:37Speaker 9: What to you are some of the smokingest guns from
- 1:12:42Speaker 9: what they've discovered over the course of Vindication week.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: This week with Fauci, well, Rand Paul, I think is
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: very wise to focus on the origin of the virus.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: We basically gets very clear now from multiple sides. In fact,
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: the new documents that just came out of the lot
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: past two days that Wuhan was the probably primary mechanism
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: for the lab leak, and that we actually funded it,
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: and we funded it backhandedly through doctor Fauci's mechanisms, and
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: then his efforts over the first months of twenty twenty
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: were complete CYA. I think the other revelations, though, are
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: how quickly he behind the scenes would say, yeah, you know,
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: masks really don't work, but I really don't want to
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: get on the bad side of the CDC, so let's
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: just go with it.
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: Oh gosh, these vaccines really don't work.
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: In fact, I've got it twice now, and these boosters
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: don't seem to work. But I can't I can't let
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: the guard down. We've got to keep going. And so
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: that absolute facade that he would put up in the
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: front of the facemen saying we have the quotes. You know,
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: if you get VAXs, you can't get sick, you won't
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: be hospitalized, and then in the background he's saying, yeah,
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: there's no data to support that. It just realized that
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: there are some real issues between policy and the science.
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: And I'm really grateful for our friend Jay About who
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: is now head of the NIH and he can start
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: making some of these changes and has already done so
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: I'll give one example is that doctor Fauci would decide
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: who got the grant money, and he'd also decide the policy.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:12Speaker 9: I mean what's been frustrating to me is the fact
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: that the media blackout has been such that so many
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: Americans still don't understand why people are so angry at
- 1:14:22Speaker 9: Anthony Fauci. He got a flower delivery to his house
- 1:14:24Speaker 9: and there was a paparazzi photographer who captured his delighted
- 1:14:30Speaker 9: reaction at getting this flower delivery after all of his
- 1:14:35Speaker 9: testimony was over. Is there ever going to be a
- 1:14:38Speaker 9: time where this Do you feel like this information has
- 1:14:40Speaker 9: seeped into the other half of the country or is
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: this just another example of the fact that we live
- 1:14:45Speaker 9: in two different realities.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: I think it has seeped in part. I think the
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: other challenge that we have in trying to say, hey,
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: you know, we were kind of right, and can we
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: get some knowledge here, but also can we make some changes.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: I think the other factor is a lot of people
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: are embarrassed at how they acted during COVID, and so
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: when you bring it up, they go, I really that
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: was a challenging moment in our lives there, right, And
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: I think a lot of people realized they didn't have
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: the courage to stand up for those basic American rights
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: like the First Amendment, and when they did, it was selective,
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: and when they didn't, it was embarrassing, and they feel
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: the impact. I think most people who had kids during
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: that time became converts to our cause in a dramatic way.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: I'm thinking of Jennifer Say, I'm thinking of yourself. Of course,
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: we have kids about the same age and the challenges
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: that they went through. We're here in California and the
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: craziness that ensued here and we.
- 1:15:42Speaker 11: Go to Florida. We're like, we love you guys.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: You know, it's just such a challenge to have that
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: differing experience. I think that's one of the demarcations. If
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: you had kids during COVID, you recognized very quickly the
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: impact that doctor Paluci had in your life, and you're
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: looking for him to be frogmart.
- 1:16:00Speaker 11: But again, I don't know if that's going to happen.
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: So where can folks find you to follow your work?
- 1:16:04Speaker 9: Because I hope that you're going to be put out
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: of business soon, but I don't think you will. Based
- 1:16:08Speaker 9: on where can folks find you?
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Well, you can find my blog at rational ground dot com.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: That's our group that helped doctor Alice and we post
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: there all the time and of course on exit justin
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: underscore Hart.
- 1:16:20Speaker 9: Thank you so much and it's h A R T.
- 1:16:23Speaker 9: Thank you so much for all of your work. It
- 1:16:25Speaker 9: was so critical at such an important milestone in our country.
- 1:16:28Speaker 11: Thanks Bethany for having me on.
- 1:16:30Speaker 18: Thanks to stick around for more than Kevin. Next, I'm
- 1:16:46Speaker 18: serving it up. It's a no drink mintal It's met
- 1:16:51Speaker 18: Kevin the show.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Hello, and welcome back to that Kevin Show.
- 1:16:56Speaker 9: I want to switch gears a little bit and talk
- 1:16:58Speaker 9: about a real interesting story that emerged out of the
- 1:17:02Speaker 9: Middle East that it might not make the headlines, but
- 1:17:05Speaker 9: I think is super fun. I think I mentioned on
- 1:17:07Speaker 9: a previous segment that I'm Jewish, but this is actually
- 1:17:10Speaker 9: a story about Christianity. There is in Turkey an incredible
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: third century mosaic floor spanning over twenty feet that emerged.
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: And excavators uncovered.
- 1:17:25Speaker 9: It's a Roman mosaic at an archaeological site near where
- 1:17:29Speaker 9: the Apostle Paul helped spread Christianity, right at the very
- 1:17:34Speaker 9: start of the spread of Christianity through Europe. It was
- 1:17:37Speaker 9: found in an ancient city and southern Turkey by the
- 1:17:40Speaker 9: country's Minister of Culture and Tourism, and they announced it
- 1:17:44Speaker 9: in June. It is an incredible depiction of a youthful
- 1:17:50Speaker 9: river God you're a mendon framed by geometric patterns and
- 1:17:54Speaker 9: aquatic imagery. I one of my favorite things that I
- 1:17:59Speaker 9: did in school, and I forced my homeschool children to
- 1:18:01Speaker 9: do as a result, was create mosaics. And so you
- 1:18:05Speaker 9: sort of you cut out pieces of paper and then
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: you put them together. That's that's what I did in school,
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: learning about Roman mosaics. And when I was in Israel,
- 1:18:16Speaker 9: as it happened, we stayed in a city called Sipori,
- 1:18:19Speaker 9: which is the apparently the mosaic capital of Israel, and
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: in the gift shops at all of the local parks
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: they had mosaic kits.
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: Which was incredible.
- 1:18:31Speaker 9: I really recommend folks go to Foxnews dot com and
- 1:18:34Speaker 9: check out this story because the mosaic that they uncovered
- 1:18:37Speaker 9: is so colorful and so well preserved. It's really remarkable
- 1:18:43Speaker 9: to me to see this kind of thing because it
- 1:18:45Speaker 9: feels like history is sort of popping out at you,
- 1:18:49Speaker 9: and the three dimensional way that mosaics are presented is
- 1:18:53Speaker 9: really incredible. This God, there's there's not that many representations
- 1:18:58Speaker 9: of him in art and in the archaeological record, so
- 1:19:03Speaker 9: it's really significant and it's very rare. But I wanted
- 1:19:07Speaker 9: to sort of throw this out because you know, it
- 1:19:11Speaker 9: feels as though faith is under assault in the public sphere,
- 1:19:15Speaker 9: and I always joke that God is not subtle, and
- 1:19:19Speaker 9: so this, to me, this uncovered discovery, is it feels
- 1:19:24Speaker 9: like God's signaling like, hey, guys, I'm here, I was
- 1:19:27Speaker 9: here two thousand years ago, I'm still here now.
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: And I just think it's a little bit of a
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: wake up call.
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: And I hope that folks go check out that beautiful
- 1:19:37Speaker 9: art because in so many ways it feels like the
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: past is speaking to us and God is speaking to us.
- 1:19:44Speaker 9: Thank you so much for joining me in this show,
- 1:19:46Speaker 9: and thank you to my guests Oh Skinner and Nicky
- 1:19:49Speaker 9: Neely and Justin Hart and Ali Murray for joining us.
- 1:19:54Speaker 9: We really we talked about the whole spectrum of things today.
- 1:19:57Speaker 9: We talked about fauci, We talked about the Spanish invasion
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: that's happening, what's happening in our schools and in r YMCAs.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: If you are interested in following my work.
- 1:20:07Speaker 9: I'm on Twitter and I guess it's called x now
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: and Instagram at Bethany Seandark, and you can follow me
- 1:20:14Speaker 9: on the mom Wars podcast and substack, where I write
- 1:20:17Speaker 9: about sort of parenting issues, and I am also frequently
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: contributing to The New York Post and the Washington Examiner.
- 1:20:24Speaker 9: Don't forget to tweet Kevin and say wow, Bethany Mandel,
- 1:20:27Speaker 9: that was one of your best replacement co hosts and
- 1:20:30Speaker 9: we'd love to have her back for another show. And
- 1:20:33Speaker 9: if he doesn't, he's still stuck with me on Fridays,
- 1:20:35Speaker 9: and so every Friday you can hear me here at
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: that Kevin show. And Kevin, I guess is coming back
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: next week. I don't know, maybe you guys should just
- 1:20:43Speaker 9: send him a message and say you missed him. Not
- 1:20:45Speaker 9: too much because I want to do this again, but
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: just say hope you had a great vacation, thank you
- 1:20:50Speaker 9: to everyone for listening, and until next week when Kevin
- 1:20:55Speaker 9: is back, I hope that you go and spend this
- 1:20:58Speaker 9: weekend making that sign from God again. He's not subtle.
- 1:21:03Speaker 9: If you're Jewish, go on Saturday to your synagogue or
- 1:21:05Speaker 9: your temple. If you're a Christian, go to church, go
- 1:21:08Speaker 9: join your community, and take this as a sign that
- 1:21:13Speaker 9: you have a place there and God wants you there
- 1:21:16Speaker 9: and that's all that you need. Thank you so much,
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: and have a great weekend.
