- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey, we'll
- 0:08Speaker 1: take some calls. Let's get some new callers. If you
- 0:10Speaker 1: haven't called before, 800-321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710. We've got
- 0:17Speaker 1: people listening all over America. Let's take some calls. Let's
- 0:20Speaker 1: go to Patsy in Georgia. Patsy, how you doing?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Good. I'm fine, Mark. How are you?
- 0:26Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I'm calling because I love Liz Peek, and I think
- 0:30Speaker 3: she makes wonderful points. But I'm afraid that when we
- 0:33Speaker 3: talk to the average American and try to convince them
- 0:36Speaker 3: that capitalism is the way to go, we have to
- 0:39Speaker 3: stop using terms like capitalism and socialism and actually paint
- 0:43Speaker 3: a picture on how this will affect each family individually, specifically. Like,
- 0:50Speaker 3: what are the things in their lives that will actually
- 0:53Speaker 3: change under a regime like this? Unfortunately, we have to
- 0:56Speaker 3: dumb it down to that point.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Well, I disagree. Americans are not as dumb as you
- 1:01Speaker 1: make them out to be. People are smarter than you think.
- 1:04Speaker 1: They get it. If you got it, they'll get it.
- 1:07Speaker 1: They'll get it. Where are you in Georgia?
- 1:10Speaker 4: I'm in St.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Simons Island.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Oh, that's the intellectual capital of the world? I see
- 1:16Speaker 1: where you're coming from. That makes sense.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Well, I just think that when I talk to young
- 1:20Speaker 3: people like my grandchildren— The terms that I use are
- 1:24Speaker 3: often not completely.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yes, the problem is the you're right in some ways.
- 1:29Speaker 1: But the problem is you sent those kids to college
- 1:31Speaker 1: and they came back from total indoctrination. And now they're crazy.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Mom, Donnie voting socialist. You got to keep your kids
- 1:39Speaker 1: out of those colleges. That's exactly.
- 1:41Speaker 3: But they don't really know how it affects them personally.
- 1:44Speaker 3: They think they think in concept. And oh, yeah, that
- 1:47Speaker 3: sounds like.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You got to remember, you're not going to undo four
- 1:50Speaker 1: years of college indoctrination in a couple of months. It's
- 1:53Speaker 1: going to take a long time.
- 1:54Speaker 3: No, that's true.
- 1:55Speaker 1: All right, Patsy. Thanks for calling. Let's go to Phil
- 1:59Speaker 1: in New Milford, Connecticut. Phil, how you doing? Hi, New Milford,
- 2:04Speaker 1: New Jersey. How you doing? Oh, my God. You got
- 2:06Speaker 1: a new Milford there, too? They're everywhere, these new Milfords.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, there's Milford. There's new Milford.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Old Milford. Sort of Milford. A little Milford.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Well, I defer to your expertise on this question. And
- 2:20Speaker 2: the thing is, if I subscribe to the usual TV
- 2:23Speaker 2: package to support, I want to watch my real news channels,
- 2:28Speaker 2: but I end up subsidizing CNN channels. and MSNOW and
- 2:33Speaker 2: all these idiots, how does the rating people know what
- 2:36Speaker 2: I'm watching?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Well, on the radio we use meters. We can tell people,
- 2:42Speaker 1: we've got 20,000 people hooked up to meters. We know
- 2:45Speaker 1: what they're watching. Same thing with television. They know when
- 2:48Speaker 1: you turn your channel what you're watching and all of
- 2:51Speaker 1: that stuff. Well, that's good to know. Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:55Speaker 1: They know what you're watching and you're not watching. Don't worry.
- 2:58Speaker 1: If you're not looking at CNN, CNN will not get
- 3:00Speaker 1: credit for you. It's not about what you pay. It's
- 3:02Speaker 1: about what you actually tune on, what channel you turn to.
- 3:06Speaker 1: They know. They know. You know, like a half-hour audience
- 3:10Speaker 1: listens online. They're streaming. They're on their phone listening right now.
- 3:14Speaker 1: We know exactly when you're listening, when you tune in.
- 3:18Speaker 1: We even know when you turn the volume up, turn
- 3:20Speaker 1: the volume down. Ratings are pretty scientific nowadays. Let's go
- 3:25Speaker 1: to Virginia in Massapequa. How are you doing? Hi, Mark.
- 3:30Speaker 5: How are you doing?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Good.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Good morning. I was listening to your show, and I
- 3:35Speaker 5: wanted to comment on intermittent fasting because that's something that
- 3:38Speaker 5: I do have experience with.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:40Speaker 5: And I don't believe those studies, and I actually tried
- 3:44Speaker 5: to look it up, and there are studies from 2024
- 3:46Speaker 5: where they're trying to say that it correlates with heart
- 3:50Speaker 5: disease and I don't believe.
- 3:52Speaker 1: That that's true. Well, you cannot believe it, but there's
- 3:54Speaker 1: a lot of studies where they just simply study people.
- 3:56Speaker 1: They check the actual data records. Yeah, that's true. If
- 4:00Speaker 1: you don't eat for 16 hours and you don't eat
- 4:03Speaker 1: before noon, you are increasing your risk of heart stuff
- 4:06Speaker 1: and other stuff.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yeah, but they don't know what they're actually eating. There
- 4:10Speaker 5: are people that fast and they'll eat a healthy meal,
- 4:13Speaker 5: and there are people that fast and they think, oh,
- 4:15Speaker 5: I didn't eat all day, so I deserve some fast
- 4:18Speaker 5: food or a half a bag of chips. So really..
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's not healthy to go 16 hours without eating. Now,
- 4:25Speaker 1: according to these studies, you could do it a couple
- 4:27Speaker 1: days a week. You can't do it every day. It's
- 4:29Speaker 1: not healthy. And why do you do it?
- 4:31Speaker 5: Look up, Google the word autophagy.
- 4:34Speaker 3: It's spelled A-U-T-O-H-A-G-Y.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's a sunny day. I was going to go out,
- 4:38Speaker 1: enjoy the day, and have fun. I'm not staying home
- 4:40Speaker 1: to Google autophagy or whatever the hell you said. No,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but seriously, why are you doing this intermittent fasting?
- 4:48Speaker 5: Because autophagy is when your body, all right, picture this analogy.
- 4:52Speaker 5: I read this, and this is a really good analogy.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'm begging you. Stop saying autophagy.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Listen, listen.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Your refrigerator is your body. And listen, your refrigerator is
- 5:01Speaker 5: your body. And you keep putting food in, and all.
- 5:03Speaker 1: The bad things get shoved to the back. Have some breakfast. Now,
- 5:07Speaker 1: look at this over here. Here's a banana. Here's some watermelon.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Could you have a healthier breakfast?
- 5:14Speaker 5: Well, that's a lot of sugar.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Oh, it is? Sure it is.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Of course it is.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I didn't think of that.
- 5:19Speaker 5: If you have diabetes, you can't be eating stuff like that.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Really?
- 5:22Speaker 5: But what I'm trying to say.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Is if you have a refrigerator and you never.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Clean that food out and you keep putting food in,
- 5:28Speaker 5: you never get rid of it. You just have to..
- 5:29Speaker 2: All right.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Now, if we saw you, are you perfect weight and everything?
- 5:33Speaker 1: No body fat?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Of course not.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I'm not..
- 5:36Speaker 1: No. What the hell are we listening to you for?
- 5:40Speaker 5: I'm not doing it now. I've done it in the past.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Are you a little overweight?
- 5:43Speaker 5: I like to have cream in my coffee. No, I'm
- 5:46Speaker 5: about where I should be.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm about where I should be.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Well, first of all, you sound a little cranky. I
- 5:53Speaker 1: think this intermittent fasting is good for you.
- 5:54Speaker 3: No, I have a sore throat.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm not cranky.
- 5:57Speaker 5: I'm not cranky. I don't do IF all the time,
- 6:01Speaker 5: but I did it for quite.
- 6:01Speaker 1: A long time.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Oh, again, it's IF.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It's intermittent fasting.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Intermittent fasting.
- 6:05Speaker 1: All right. So what do you do for a living, Virginia?
- 6:08Speaker 2: I coffee myself. That's the right mark.
- 6:10Speaker 1: What do you do for a living?
- 6:12Speaker 5: Are you asking that before? I can't tell you. I
- 6:14Speaker 5: couldn't tell you.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I'd have to kill you.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I can't tell you. Is something illegal?
- 6:17Speaker 5: I work for a company.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't.
- 6:18Speaker 1: All right, I'll make a deal with you. Tell me,
- 6:20Speaker 1: then you can kill me. It's fine. I'll agree to that.
- 6:24Speaker 5: I'm off today from work, though.
- 6:25Speaker 2: You guessed it correctly. I'm in retail.
- 6:28Speaker 5: In the past, you guessed it correctly.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Oh, you're in retail?
- 6:30Speaker 4: So I'm off today.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yay.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Are you one of those annoying salespeople? You haven't even
- 6:34Speaker 1: got both feet through the door and you're like, can
- 6:36Speaker 1: I help you? Can I help you?
- 6:37Speaker 3: Like all over.
- 6:38Speaker 1: No, no, nothing like that. No. All right. Well, you
- 6:40Speaker 1: sound like a nice person, Virginia. Thanks for calling. Eat something.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Let's go to, uh, Roxy in Connecticut. Roxy, how you doing? Wow.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Good morning. And, um, glad to get through to you
- 6:52Speaker 4: this morning.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Well, that's good. Connecticut. Where are you in Connecticut?
- 6:57Speaker 4: Um, uh, I'm in Old Saybrook along the shoreline.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Very beautiful there. Very beautiful. You got that big, huge,
- 7:03Speaker 1: beautiful hotel there right in the water.
- 7:05Speaker 3: That's right.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Saybrook Point Inn.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I was just there the other day.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah. And a lot of great places there. So in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the summer, no more, you know, forget going to Cape
- 7:17Speaker 1: Cod or somewhere. Just go to Old Saybrook. It's beautiful.
- 7:21Speaker 4: It is.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Don't bring a lot more people.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Forget Old Saybrook. Don't go there. It's really a mess.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Don't go there.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Um, I watched or I taped the NASCAR race, and
- 7:31Speaker 4: it was just heart-pounding pride with a flyover, with the
- 7:38Speaker 4: band opening the songs.
- 7:40Speaker 3: It was just, I thought, very memorable.
- 7:43Speaker 4: And to see the race going on with all the
- 7:47Speaker 4: beautiful buildings in the background, it was stimulating. And I
- 7:52Speaker 4: taped it, of course, so I could zip through and
- 7:54Speaker 4: pick up the highlights but yeah it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Was really beautiful american win but if you're a democrat
- 8:00Speaker 1: it was sickening it's got flags it's got military it's
- 8:03Speaker 1: got cars oh the democrats.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Hate privately funded it was privately funded yes hey by.
- 8:09Speaker 1: The way good because i love nascar i love indycar
- 8:12Speaker 1: you don't have to record this stuff at the later
- 8:15Speaker 1: in the day in the evening i don't know who
- 8:17Speaker 1: does it but it's always there You just go type
- 8:20Speaker 1: IndyCar whatever highlights, and somebody's put up a 25-minute reel
- 8:25Speaker 1: of all the highlights every day. That is good. Every day.
- 8:29Speaker 4: My husband used to race vintage cars, so I do
- 8:32Speaker 4: like racing.
- 8:33Speaker 1: All right. Well, thanks for calling. Yeah, because I can't,
- 8:36Speaker 1: I've got to be honest, I can't sit through the
- 8:38Speaker 1: whole run. I'm going to watch him drive around a
- 8:39Speaker 1: track for four hours. But you watch the highlights at night,
- 8:42Speaker 1: 20 minutes, and it's great. Also, it's the middle of
- 8:45Speaker 1: a summer day. I've got to go out. I'm not
- 8:46Speaker 1: going to sit at home watching TV. But it's always
- 8:49Speaker 1: on YouTube, all the highlights of every race, every night.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Let's go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe, how are
- 8:54Speaker 1: you doing?
- 8:55Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. Real fast, you mentioned we lost Shelley Fabry.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Did you know we lost Leslie Parrish, too? She was, like,
- 9:03Speaker 2: the last one from the Manchurian Candidate.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Leslie Parrish was an actress?
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, she was Josie in the Manchurian Candidate.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Oh, okay. That's not exactly... Big name, but Manchurian Candidate
- 9:20Speaker 1: was a great movie. 1964, Frank Sinatra, Lawrence Harvey. It's
- 9:25Speaker 1: about a president. Oh, no, wait. It was 63. 62,
- 9:28Speaker 1: but they held it up. It was about a presidential assassination.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it was too close to Kennedy.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It did very well, but then Kennedy was assassinated. They
- 9:37Speaker 1: had to pull the film off the market.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Frank Sinatra did that.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it wasn't so much Sinatra. The movie studio
- 9:44Speaker 1: had to pull it off. The Market, Manchurian Candidate, was
- 9:47Speaker 1: a great film. Go back and watch it. It's about
- 9:49Speaker 1: a presidential assassin. It's an amazing movie. But because right
- 9:54Speaker 1: after Kennedy gets assassinated, they withdrew the film from the market,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and they could never show it on television, so it
- 9:59Speaker 1: was hidden. never seen it was one of the greatest
- 10:02Speaker 1: movies never seen for like 30 years and then somewhere
- 10:08Speaker 1: in the 90s Frank Sinatra's on the Larry King show
- 10:13Speaker 1: and Larry King said that was one of the greatest
- 10:14Speaker 1: movies and because of the Kennedy assassination they took it
- 10:17Speaker 1: off the market it's never been seen since And Sinatra said, yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 1: it was a great movie. I wish they'd release it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And Larry King said, you know, you own it. He goes,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I do? He said, yeah, you own the rights to it.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It's your film. You own it. He said, I'll have
- 10:33Speaker 1: it released tomorrow. And it was released the next day.
- 10:35Speaker 1: So you can go watch it. The Manchurian Candidate. Hey,
- 10:39Speaker 1: coming up at noon, Buck Saxon and Clay Travis with
- 10:42Speaker 1: a wonderful show. Then at three o'clock, you got Sean
- 10:45Speaker 1: Hannity with the most listened to radio show in America.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You got Jesse Kelly at 6. And Jimmy Fallon. What
- 10:51Speaker 1: a great show. It's so funny. Every night, 9 to midnight,
- 10:55Speaker 1: here on 710WOR.
