- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Hi and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips, where every week we break down and discuss an episode of Lost in order.
- 0:20SPEAKER_03: Or not in order.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I just so far in order while we drink.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: We are your hosts.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: I'm Lisa.
- 0:29SPEAKER_03: And I'm Agnes.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: And today we're actually going to be doing a special episode where we will recap season two and look forward to season three.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: What are you drinking today?
- 0:44SPEAKER_03: I'm drinking mommy's special coffee.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: I like some Mexican Mexican mudslide.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: I've got some sangria.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Ooh, sangria.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: White sangria or the red wine sangria?
- 1:04unknown: Red.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: Okay, I like the white sangria.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: I'll drink it.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: I think it hits once again, red wine and I don't do well.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: And with the white sangria, I feel like, oh, I'm drinking juice.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: I get up and the floor hits me in the face.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: So I'm like, yeah.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I haven't had the white sangria in a couple of years.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: So maybe it's time to have some again, but I support that message.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: I tend to like my drinks, like my men a little darker.
- 1:31SPEAKER_03: I like mine breathing.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: So just open up my bottle of wine.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Uh anyway, in today's episode.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna just talk about different aspects that we have seen in season two.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: And then you know, just talk about what we think might happen in season three.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: So before we we get into the topics for season two, anything you wanna say overall about the season?
- 2:09SPEAKER_03: I have to pull up my notes again because you know damn well remember what happened to begin the first half of the season.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: So what?
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: How many episodes was in this season?
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: Wait, there were what?
- 2:19SPEAKER_03: No.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: There were there was 23 episodes in this season.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: I remember the last two.
- 2:26unknown: Okay.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: I mean that's at the start.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: So we're gonna have to talk.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: We have to pull up those notes.
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: Um, I did like this season better than the first season.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: If you had a rate season one and then season two on a scale of like one to ten, how would you rate?
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: Season one for me was a three.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Seriously, yeah.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: I just I just I just don't like this.
- 2:49SPEAKER_03: I mean, listen, I can appro okay, with the show, I appreciate the writing.
- 2:56SPEAKER_03: I appreciate the character development, I appreciate like it's a whole lot of things about the show that I do appreciate.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: So it's not a bad show, it's not a bad show at all.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: And I would tell anyone, yeah, watch it, you'll like it.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: But for me, it just didn't, it wasn't it wasn't my favorite.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Three is kind of cold, but alright.
- 3:16SPEAKER_03: Three and a half, okay.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Season two about four, make it one of the numbers.
- 3:25SPEAKER_03: Fine, I'll make it afford if it makes you happy.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: Season two, in relation to the season one new four, um, I have to give it maybe a six and a half, seven.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I it was a good about an eight, make it another one of the numbers.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: Don't push it, don't push it.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: I tried.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: Leave room for growth.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, fine.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: In terms of season two, what do you think you would say is the overall theme of the season?
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: I saw a lot of references to religion in season two.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Last uh last episode with Jamar, he had a very good point with his thought that I didn't I saw, but I didn't quite see.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: Like I I saw on a superficial level, but I didn't see how deep it was.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: But um, religion was probably my first um thought.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: That's the first one that comes to my mind.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: That's what I was thinking too, like is the idea of faith and like how it relates to religion or you know, whatever.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And like the first episode of the season is Bad of Science, Man of Faith.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, boom.
- 4:49SPEAKER_03: And I see I don't I forgot the first episode was, but yeah.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: But I think that that theme just encompasses the whole season because it's constantly a battle between namely Locke, but not just Locke in terms of faith, but Echo, Charlie, um, and this whole idea of you have to do what you feel is right, but what's right, what is right, what is wrong, it's all real, and I mean, granted, there are some exceptions, there's some things that are empirically wrong, but um a lot of things is all relative between right and wrong, as we talked about with Michael and what he did to get his son back, it's all relative to your point of view.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: So a lot I think some people like, oh what life isn't black and white is gray, and it is, but to the extent of how gray life is, I think people underestimate.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: I would have to say about five per 10% of life is black and white, five and five, and the rest of the 90 in life is just all gray.
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: Um, so that constant battle of where in that gray people are living and what they're providing.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: 90 shades of gray.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Kinky.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: Oh baby.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Now um, I kind of like my train kind of got my mental train got derailed, and I'm trying to bring it back.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: No, it wasn't you.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: As you can hear me talking, you can hear me kind of like uh let's bring this back.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Like my train was like I really wish that you watched The Office.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: No, because then you would appreciate Michael at one point starts a sentence and it's just random, and then he says, like when he does his fucking head and he's like, Sometimes I start a sentence and I have no idea where it's going.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: But then by the end of it, like that's my entire life.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: You should watch it because you know, just saying anyway.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: I watched a couple episodes.
- 7:05SPEAKER_03: I was with um my kid, she's not a kid, but she'll always be a kid.
- 7:09SPEAKER_03: She was getting one of her tattoo one of her tattoos.
- 7:12SPEAKER_03: So I went with her and the artist had the office play in his room.
- 7:18SPEAKER_03: So it's not a bad show.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: You know what it the reason I never the reason I never caught I haven't caught it, I have to say the last 10 years, maybe longer, I haven't really been watching sitcoms or half hour.
- 7:30SPEAKER_03: I haven't I just don't those are my favorite kind of shows.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: I just I'm more to the hour dramas.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm a junkie for a sitcom.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: So like if like I love Friends.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: If Friends came on now, I would probably want to watch it.
- 7:43SPEAKER_03: It's like I just don't do it anymore.
- 7:45SPEAKER_03: Not particular not because I yeah.
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: So I'm sure it's a great show, and I and then the two episodes I watched, I enjoyed.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: I just um those to me are what I call comfort sitcoms.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: They're the kind of things that I could watch over and over and over again, and they just make me happy.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: Aww.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: So it's like you know how somebody when they watch a scary movie and then they're like, Oh, I gotta go watch something funny now to balance.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: That's how sitcoms you've ever heard people okay.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: What would I I've heard it, but then what's this?
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: I've heard it, but so like no, you must go home with that fear.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: But um, how can you be afraid?
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: It's a fucking movie.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying it's me.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying that like I've heard this over and over where people will do that.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: But I'm just saying that for me, what makes me happy, what balances me, what you know keeps me like content is a good sitcom.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Something that I could watch, I know what's coming, and I'm still gonna laugh.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: I support that message.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: You know what I sort of mean?
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: You know what I started watching again?
- 8:54SPEAKER_03: Because there's nothing on TV.
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: I started watching Weeds again.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: That's a good show.
- 8:59SPEAKER_03: It's hysterical.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: And I was just and I once again I'm I'm like, damn, she kind of just fell ass into everything she's like, she really wasn't like a criminal mastermind at all.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: She felt ass into it.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: Somewhere like the second, like the middle of the second season, and I'm like, I really like this show.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: I feel like every time I have an iced coffee, I think of Nancy.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: You know what?
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: You're right.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: You know what you're right.
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: I think the first time I watched it, it didn't click because that was me.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: It still is me.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: I didn't notice that before.
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, I noticed it, but I didn't, yeah, that's funny.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Every fucking time.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: I just watched Scrub Silver.
- 9:39SPEAKER_03: It's another show I started, and I think I felt, I think around that time I fell out of my sitcom.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: Actually, I don't think once again a lot of shows I didn't watch because I didn't have D VR and I work, I didn't have I didn't work normal hours.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: So a lot of shows I missed, and then I'm like, fuck it, it's been six months.
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: I doesn't make sense for me to try to catch up on it.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: This is pre-Netflix, pre-streaming.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: So I'm trying to catch up on all those shows now.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: I keep finishing them.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: And I just started watching 30 Rock Over.
- 10:12SPEAKER_03: Another show I started never finished.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I had seen some episodes when it was on, but I never saw it, you know, consistently.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: So do you know what pisses me off?
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: So this is the show Las Vegas with James Conn.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Yes, I remember I watched it.
- 10:27SPEAKER_03: I watched it and I think once again I Josh DeMel.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Yes, I remember.
- 10:31SPEAKER_03: And that's how him and Fergie met when she was on she was on one episode.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: You know that they had musical guests, like they had guests.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: That's how they met.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: Anyway, um, so there's another show.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: I think by like the middle of the second season, I just couldn't follow, I wasn't I wasn't allowed to follow it anymore.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: So E has been they've been playing marathons.
- 10:54SPEAKER_03: So the first time they played, I'm talking about from first episode to last episode.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: I was like, fuck yeah.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: So I recorded all of them.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: I have it set to record whenever it's on.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: And I had this, I think like the middle, like the beginning of the third season, we had a bad thunderstorm and it fucked with my service.
- 11:13SPEAKER_03: So the recordings, every recording was a half hour, like I lost a half hour of everything from that storm all the way on.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: It is the timing just got fucked up.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: So I deleted it.
- 11:25SPEAKER_03: I said I'll leave it on, the list to be recorded, and it started again.
- 11:30SPEAKER_03: I'm like, yes, I can watch it again.
- 11:33SPEAKER_03: So it recorded everything.
- 11:35SPEAKER_03: I said, okay, I'm binge watching.
- 11:37SPEAKER_03: So season was the season finale, season four.
- 11:42SPEAKER_03: Big cliffhanger.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: Next episode, season five, episode seven.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: For some reason, they didn't air the beginning of season five.
- 11:51SPEAKER_03: I'm like, you know what?
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: It's gotta be like on Netflix or it's not Hulu or something, no?
- 11:57SPEAKER_03: It's not.
- 11:58SPEAKER_03: So what I'm doing is I left it on my list and it's still set to record whenever it's on.
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: So I'm just gonna wait and hope that it sets to it records it again so I can watch.
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: I checked YouTube, I checked everything.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: It's not so yeah.
- 12:14SPEAKER_03: So I'm like, if you're gonna have a marathon, continuity people.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let me see.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Let me try something for you.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe a search over here.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: I know we're we're like really off, but um, okay, hold on.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm just trying to find one last thing to see if oh yeah, it's on Amazon, but you you'd probably have to pay for it.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: I looked it up on IMDb and it says it's available on Amazon.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you have to pay per episode.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Because there are some shows that you can actually watch with IMDB and you don't have to pay for them.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: That's not one of them.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: I looked because I was doing something else.
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because IMDB has like a free section of Amazon.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: But it's not even, it's not even because like you can watch Lost on IMDb, but if you watch it on Amazon, you have to pay for it.
- 13:19SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: But it's so it's not the same.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: The way to get the IMDB is to go through Amazon.
- 13:28SPEAKER_03: Like I because I was trying to get it.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: No, you don't.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: It was on the ID on the Roku site.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't know.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: I did it on my phone.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: So for me, to get it, they're like, oh, you can still access it via Amazon Prime or Roku.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Do it on your phone.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: I think that's and then I'll just mirror it to the TV.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: Can I do it on the computer?
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why not?
- 13:56SPEAKER_03: Alright, anyway.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, anyway.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: So Okay, so 25 years later.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: Four years later.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: If you had on the on the idea of themes, if you had to say that there was a theme for season one, what would it have been?
- 14:43SPEAKER_03: I don't even remember.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: All I remember of it was groundwork.
- 14:50SPEAKER_03: Like it was a whole bunch of layering groundwork.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:54SPEAKER_03: Um, I can't remember enough details of it to because it did it it didn't excite me.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: So I don't think I remember enough details to go back to yeah, it was a yeah.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like it's just like like survival, even though that just sounds kind of basic.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, survival groundwork.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: Oh no, the foundation to survive the foundation to survival.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Ah and going looking ahead to season three, if you had a guess like a theme, being that season two was so focused on um I just keep getting notifications, so I'm trying to.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, sorry.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: So if you had to guess a theme for season three, after seeing like how focused on religion and faith season two was, any guesses?
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Or any hopes?
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: I'm thinking, based on the way it ended, it's gonna be a very science.
- 16:01SPEAKER_03: Is it good versus evil or science?
- 16:04SPEAKER_03: Because there's two things that stuck in my head because obviously, you know, they're looking for the island.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: I took it as they're like, they're looking for the island or science of the island.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: So that's the science.
- 16:16SPEAKER_03: But then when Henry Gale the the character the artist formerly known as Henry Gale.
- 16:21SPEAKER_03: Henry Gale, he was like, Well, we're the good guys, and the way he said it, and I didn't see sarcasm.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: I really thought that he they they actually thought they were doing good, like there was no malicious anyway.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: Um, so I think it's it's gonna be a crossover between science and good over evil.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: Oh, thank you.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 16:45SPEAKER_03: I feel like I got a right answer, the pop quiz.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: There's no right answer.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: I'm just teasing you, but no, no, no.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: I just how I feel.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: You know how you like you just feel proud of yourself?
- 16:56SPEAKER_03: I feel proud of myself.
- 16:56SPEAKER_03: Like, oh I got it right.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: Isn't that the shake and bank commercial where the little girl goes, and I helped?
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: And I helped.
- 17:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's how I feel.
- 17:04SPEAKER_03: Like, oh my god! Someone give me a cookie.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Uh well, I sent you cookies.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: I sent you brownies.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: Those brownies, that's a that's a fucking bag of crack.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh fucking day, like that.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: And I didn't realize it was two different flavors.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: I grabbed one, they taste the same, but they both would.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: It was like it was the first one I grabbed was like the salted caramel brittle one, and I was like, Whoo! The salted caramel is my jam.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: Like, that's my shit.
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: And then I grabbed the next one.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: I the next day I had the other one.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: I'm like, where's the salted caramel?
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: Like, and it was and like, oh, chocolate chip.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: Okay, I could do this too.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: Little bags of crack.
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: I love you.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: I love you too.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Um just based on the finales, what do you think season one versus season two, just in terms of finales?
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Like as a whole, like Exodus versus Live Together Die Alone.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: Hold on.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: I'm pulling up my notes again.
- 18:09SPEAKER_03: I told you I really wait, what?
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: There was a season one.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: Um, let's see.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: Oh, fucking three parts.
- 18:19SPEAKER_03: I know, but just generalize.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: Oh, that was a that was a raft.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: We take the boy.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: The whole boy.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: Exodus was like the smoke.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: They were gonna blow up the hatch.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: The smoke meant that they were coming for the boy, and then they leave on the raft, and then Walk gets kidnapped.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I guess in a nutshell.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Versus season two finale, which is holy shit.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Which is like season one, they're blowing up the hatch to get in, and then season two finale, it's kind of like they're blowing up the hatch again, and we don't know what happened, but we're gonna assume that it's done for.
- 18:59SPEAKER_03: I don't think it's done for because they still have four more seasons left.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Like, you know I'm just saying, like that that Charlie comes back, he can't hear, and the quarantine door that was right above the hatch comes flying to the beach.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: So that left me a lot of questions.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: I was like, so you don't know that that hatch was meant.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: You don't know until then, until Echo gets his way out, that that hatch was meant for a quarantine.
- 19:27SPEAKER_03: Like no one realized it.
- 19:29SPEAKER_03: I mean, there was little hints for it, like with the vaccines and all the other stuff, but there's one thing having a vaccine, and another thing when you realize, oh shit, that was a quarantine hatch.
- 19:39SPEAKER_03: Like this shit is, you know, it brought to a whole new light.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: Um fucking that damn train keeps getting derailed and off off track.
- 19:48SPEAKER_03: Um So the the finales.
- 19:51SPEAKER_03: I yeah, I know I had a thought.
- 19:52SPEAKER_03: Oh I'll come back to it.
- 19:54SPEAKER_03: I have a couple of thoughts.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: Um comparing the two seasons, season one, you kind of knew where season two was gonna, you you knew what it was gonna, you knew where you're gonna lead up to.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, you'll come back, there's a rat, and considering you're like, okay, they're not gonna get saved because it's in the first season.
- 20:12SPEAKER_03: So watching it for the first time, you know, it has you know, you kind of knew what was what you were gonna get yourself into.
- 20:18SPEAKER_03: Season two, major cliffhanger.
- 20:20SPEAKER_03: Like you're like, wait, what?
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: I think that that that could all not interrupt you, but that could also be a theme for season one is getting rescued.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: And in season two, they weren't really focused on that at all.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Not not in the in the way that they were in season one.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: It was all about the signal fire and the raft, and then season two, it's like, oh uh, we gotta hatch.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: Let's set up a kitchen on the beach.
- 20:44SPEAKER_03: Let's set up our let's set our life up.
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, I didn't see that.
- 20:49SPEAKER_03: Good point.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: I still wish I knew what that train of mine was going before I lost.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: No, it wasn't true.
- 20:55SPEAKER_03: My brain is not working, more so than normal, or less so.
- 21:02SPEAKER_03: Um what was I gonna say about the hatch?
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: I remember sometime by mid like middle season three.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, I remember when uh so I had a thought though, and it occurred to me after the fact.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Remember when Michael was sitting at the computer, and then um who we presume is Walt was talking to him?
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it was right after Locke was saying, like, you can't use the computer for anything else.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: But then as soon as Michael sat down, the you know, it was like dead.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, I thought about that, and I'm like, okay, if that other substation had cameras, right?
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: Why like why couldn't another substation be able to see them also?
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: They could have been there, they could have been somewhere else watching Michael, and that's how they knew he was there to communicate, but that also brings up other implications, like was it really Walt?
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Or was it did they put Walt up to it?
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: And had Michael created another plan, they they at least if they had created an if he had created another plan different than what they had said to do, if he had said that plan in the hatch, they would have known.
- 22:25unknown: Right.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: But that also goes to show that if they were watching the swan, they knew that that's where Henry was.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: And and they knew.
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: Because he didn't look surprised at all.
- 22:41SPEAKER_03: Like he went in there knowing.
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: He may not I don't think he because like I don't see Michael as a think on your feet kind of person.
- 22:50SPEAKER_03: Like, oh, Henry's it, like, oh, this dude's here.
- 22:53SPEAKER_03: How am I shoot himself in the like I don't that seems to be so he's not a planner.
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: Not at all.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: Um, especially not a planner's gonna like say, I'm gonna shoot myself.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: Like he's a little bit of I don't want to say coward, but he's a little, you know, his self-preservation can kicks in, maybe more so than most other people's.
- 23:14SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, that did cross my mind at one point, and I think it crossed my mind in between recordings.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: Of course, the time we recorded, I completely forgot.
- 23:22SPEAKER_03: But thank you for bringing that up.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it didn't, I didn't think about it until afterwards either, but um and then also like that brings up another point.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: In the season one finale, you have them leaving, setting sail on a raft, trying to like go home, get them rescued, and then Walt gets kidnapped.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: But in season two, you have them returning Walt, and Michael and Walt set sail for home.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: So it almost closes that loop.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: I mean you still have the rest of them, you know, and you don't I let's be honest, like they told him what bearing to follow, and that's what I was gonna bring up.
- 24:10SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 24:11SPEAKER_03: Because in theory, if a person, if you're on an island in the middle of the ocean, and you have the you have the general look, if you have a general direction that's that's like you know, I gotta head northeast, it's pretty safe to assume you head northeast, eventually you're gonna head into a shipping lane.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: But the fact that very specific as to what degree to take, I felt like there was something more to I felt like there's something like an invisible barrier or something keeping them within the confines of this island.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Right, and assuming that's true, that could be why Desmond couldn't leave.
- 24:48SPEAKER_03: No one can leave.
- 24:49SPEAKER_03: And so, and that's like you gotta hit this particular degree, like uh, that that caught my my caught my attention very soon.
- 24:58SPEAKER_03: I'm like, really now?
- 25:00SPEAKER_03: So yeah, maybe um 325 degrees is back to um life and out of purgatory.
- 25:07SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 25:08SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to try to keep my hair, but um there's a lot going on with this stupid show, and it's I think that's what gets me so frustrated because there's so many different avenues.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: I'm like, can we just boil it down to maybe five instead of 500?
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: Like, you're leaving me with too many things to think about.
- 25:33SPEAKER_03: I got holes in my brain, like I can't, like this is just too much for me.
- 25:37SPEAKER_03: Honestly, and then part of it is to be fair, I think my attention span last few years isn't what it used to be.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: So now I'm like, can we just get to the point?
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Like, I am all for intrigue, I am all for like clip hangers, I am all for psych outs, but dude, you're psyching out the psych out and you're giving a riddle to the riddle to like Yeah, I get it.
- 26:01SPEAKER_03: Not enough alcohol in the world.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Well, actually the riddle is Did you have a favorite episode from the season or no?
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: Let me put my notes once again.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: I liked episodes at the end of the day.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Or least favorite and or least favorite episode.
- 26:25SPEAKER_03: Okay, I think I gotta scroll through this again.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: My god, like I don't remember anything.
- 26:31SPEAKER_03: Um there were some episodes that was like, okay, and I was just kind of it was alright, but I don't think there's anything that I hated, and I don't think I'm trying to say anything that I loved.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: I like Kate episodes.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 26:52SPEAKER_03: Um I like the echo episode.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: I like echo episodes.
- 27:00SPEAKER_03: It gives you so much of it gives you a totally different different perspective of who the man is and was because you walk in, you're like, oh, he's this peaceful guy.
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: Like he went on a like a silence, a boat hold of silence after he killed the guy about his like for self-defense, and he's still like, oh, this is a and but you're like, oh wait, he was a warlord.
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, but wait, right, he's still not that person you think the warlord is.
- 27:26SPEAKER_03: There's so yeah.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: Um, I think as far as character development goes, echoes are probably my favorite episodes.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: Um so I was gonna say, who do you think has the best and the worst backstory?
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: But I'm gonna say, like, maybe echo.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: You I think you just answered that question.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: See, I'm psychic.
- 27:53SPEAKER_03: Or psycho, depends on your own.
- 27:54SPEAKER_03: All right, so what about the best?
- 27:56SPEAKER_03: The worst backstory.
- 27:59SPEAKER_03: Libby, because she had no backstory, and I think it was a complete disservice to the character.
- 28:03SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't think she was a bad character.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: I think the fact that she had no backstory was horrible.
- 28:09SPEAKER_03: I think they could have given her they give her a I mean if you if I don't know if they planned on killing her.
- 28:16SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it happened for contractual reasons, I don't know if they maybe they had a plan for her and it didn't work out for later on.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: Um but yeah, I think they could have squeezed one in.
- 28:30SPEAKER_03: Um maybe I'm hoping that they give her her backstory in somebody else's flashback.
- 28:37SPEAKER_03: Okay, does that make sense?
- 28:38SPEAKER_03: Did I get that out in English?
- 28:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um, but if they don't, then they suck balls.
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: How dare you not give her an opportunity?
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: Everyone got their backstory.
- 28:48SPEAKER_03: Like all the main characters got their backstory.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: So yeah.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, even Desmond.
- 28:57SPEAKER_03: And he's a main character, right?
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: Like, he she's the only main character that a backstory thus far, and I'm still hoping that they give her one indirectly.
- 29:09SPEAKER_03: Do they, do they, do they, huh?
- 29:11SPEAKER_03: I'm not asking that seriously, because I know you're not gonna tell me.
- 29:13SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: I know you're not what about like in terms of shock value or like unexpected?
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: What scene or you know, did that for you?
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Like for me, I could think of two.
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: But I think um, I don't want to say shock value, but it was like, oh, unexpected, right?
- 29:39SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 29:40SPEAKER_03: You see Libby and Hugo, Libby's and Hugo's backstory.
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh, she was there with him.
- 29:46SPEAKER_03: I was like, interesting.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: Um, let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see.
- 29:52SPEAKER_03: I'm running through all my characters.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: Hmm.
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: This Hugo, this Kate, not so much of a surprise.
- 30:06SPEAKER_02: Not so much of a surprise.
- 30:09SPEAKER_03: But we did find out that Jack was like more or less like what happened to his wife, which was kind of well, I wouldn't say it was unexpected because it did say he used to be married, so you figured like something happened.
- 30:25SPEAKER_03: It gave you some kind of idea, like some I think the whole Nebby Hugo one was kind of like, oh, that's an interesting turn of events.
- 30:33SPEAKER_03: Um, oh, Locke and his father.
- 30:35SPEAKER_03: I really didn't think he was gonna go back to being within his gravitational pool.
- 30:41SPEAKER_03: I I didn't expect that.
- 30:43SPEAKER_03: I was like, wait, dude.
- 30:45SPEAKER_03: Because you see him to be such a logical and you see his flashback, he's he's still an emotional man, like he still feels things.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, not that you don't not that his face shows that he still feels things, but he's also a little bit more logical than Locke is one of those characters, I guess, that it's like he he just wants something to believe in.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: And off the island, it was his father.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: Father, and then on the island, it's the island, you know.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: The island himself.
- 31:17SPEAKER_03: Um, I think his character is what is what is what did Churchill say about Christopher Columbus?
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: Let me get this right.
- 31:27SPEAKER_03: He is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: That whole that's that's who Locke is.
- 31:37SPEAKER_03: Okay then.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: For I think the scenes are pretty like typical.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: I think the for me it would be like when Shannon gets shot.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: I forgot about that! Because it just was so like oh shit, like oh god, how I forgot about that.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Done.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: And then and almost when Anna Lucia gets shot, but when Libby gets shot.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: Because it was like, okay, what the fuck?
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: You just shot Anna Lucia like Michael, and then Libby is like bang bang, done.
- 32:12SPEAKER_03: What?
- 32:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 32:16SPEAKER_03: I feel you, homie.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Speaking of new characters, out of all the new people that we've met, who is who whether they're alive or dead or whatever, or missing, which one would you say is like your favorite out of new people?
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, and this could be anyone from Anna Lucia to Henry Gale to Goodwin.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: Or Miss Clue or whoever.
- 33:03SPEAKER_03: Um as a character, as a p person that I would like to hang out with, it would be Echo.
- 33:12SPEAKER_03: As a cat watching the character himself, if I enter like wow, it would be Gail.
- 33:17SPEAKER_03: So it depends on how you look at it.
- 33:19SPEAKER_03: Both those two, you like for different reasons, yeah.
- 33:23SPEAKER_03: You like they Gail brings, I think maybe Gail might be my favorite character to watch because there's so much maybe macromalian of he's maybe macrobalian, and he makes for good TV.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: Out of the people who have died or went missing, who, if anyone, would you bring back?
- 33:49SPEAKER_03: Libby.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: But like I'm almost torn because I'm almost like, what about Shannon?
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Like I don't, I'm just so torn between Shannon and Libby.
- 34:05SPEAKER_03: Okay, so with Shannon, I think I say Libby because I feel with Shannon, like her death was so like what the fuck.
- 34:16SPEAKER_03: That being said, I felt how do I say this not sounding like a fucking moron?
- 34:25SPEAKER_03: I okay.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: While you think about that, uh I would say Shannon because I feel like she balanced Saeed and she was just coming into her own.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: However, Libby was doing the same thing for Hurley, and we then lost out on the reconnection between her and what could have been with Desmond.
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: I I think with Shannon, I think I was gonna I'm gonna try not sound like a complete moron, but I feel like she had had some kind of remember there's so much more to her, and I think there was like she did like practically overnight, she really grew up, so to speak.
- 35:18SPEAKER_03: And I feel like her character, there's so much more for her, but I feel like she had a chance to make her her her arc.
- 35:26SPEAKER_03: Libby, I think was probably she needs to be brought back only because I feel like it's unfinished.
- 35:32SPEAKER_03: I feel like her character development is so unfinished.
- 35:34SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, I can see that.
- 35:36SPEAKER_03: But I think that's the only reason I think that's the only thing that brings that because they're a the only they're really a tie.
- 35:42SPEAKER_03: Like they need to bring them both back.
- 35:44SPEAKER_03: Okay, put them both back.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because um Do you have a least favorite?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: A least favorite character?
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: No, from season two, like new character that things.
- 35:59SPEAKER_03: No least favorite, they're all pretty, they're okay.
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: No one that I despised.
- 36:03SPEAKER_03: Okay, no one that was like get rid of.
- 36:05unknown: No.
- 36:06SPEAKER_03: I know what your answer is.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: She's at no, she's she's actually I already know what you're thinking.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: She's actually not my least favorite in terms of character because I think that her character had its purpose.
- 36:25SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: I don't like the character very much.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: I've gotten it like like I said, the first few episodes, I'm like this fucking bitch.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: I would not want to be her friend, I would not want to be near her.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: No.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: She's not the kind of person that I can associate with.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: However, by the time we get to like after kill Shannon.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like an episode or two before her death, then we might be able to like be in the same room.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: So who is your least favorite character that you would mind getting killed off?
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: See, I didn't I like I didn't want her to get killed off.
- 37:13SPEAKER_03: Well, I'm taking your question of this up in the end.
- 37:16SPEAKER_03: Who's your least favorite character?
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: Um I don't I guess Nathan was like the most useless character.
- 37:35SPEAKER_03: Oh shit.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: The one that doesn't even count.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:38SPEAKER_03: Does he even count?
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Why would I count or Cindy?
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: What the fuck?
- 37:42SPEAKER_03: She got killed off too.
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: Does she even count?
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: Actually, she disappeared.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: Well she I say she had disappeared.
- 37:48SPEAKER_03: She got disappeared.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: She done disappeared.
- 37:51SPEAKER_03: She done disappeared, girl.
- 37:54SPEAKER_03: Do you think she's with the others, or do you think they kill do you think she's with them?
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: Well, I know what happened to her.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: Oh fuck.
- 38:01SPEAKER_03: I can't answer, I can't ask you questions.
- 38:03SPEAKER_03: This sucks.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, I can't answer.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: I plead the fifth.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: I can't answer that question.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: Okay, so obviously they disappear people that they find useful.
- 38:11SPEAKER_03: Like they have a list of people that they want.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: In terms of her season two presence, I think she was pretty useless.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Actually, she might have been more useless than Nathan.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: Because at least Nathan kind of moved along that plot of I concur.
- 38:28SPEAKER_03: I forgot.
- 38:28SPEAKER_03: I didn't not that I didn't forget, but I forgot about her, but I don't know.
- 38:33SPEAKER_03: Creepy.
- 38:34SPEAKER_03: What is it with kids?
- 38:36SPEAKER_03: Listen, kids with the way they put them in movies and TV shows, and even in real life, kids are creepy as fuck.
- 38:43SPEAKER_03: Like I'm sorry.
- 38:47SPEAKER_03: And before anyone gets offended, I'm a mother and I know I own it.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: Kids are creepy.
- 38:52SPEAKER_03: Shit.
- 38:52SPEAKER_03: And if you're honest with yourself, you know that they're creepy as fuck too.
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: So I'm just saying.
- 38:57SPEAKER_03: It's true.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: It really is.
- 39:00SPEAKER_03: The shining.
- 39:02SPEAKER_03: We've all had situations where kids said something to you like put a cross in front of the head.
- 39:08SPEAKER_03: Like you're like, he's like, the hell?
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about season three.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: We're about to start season three.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: The first epis episode is called A Tale of Two Cities.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: I wonder how they okay.
- 39:30SPEAKER_03: I'm not looking.
- 39:31SPEAKER_03: But do they spell it like tail or do they spell it like tail?
- 39:34SPEAKER_03: T-A-I-L.
- 39:35SPEAKER_03: Like how do they spell it?
- 39:36SPEAKER_03: T-A-L-E.
- 39:37SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 39:37SPEAKER_03: I think it'd be cute if they spell it differently to give you a hint of something else going on.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: Like what?
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: Like a cat on the island?
- 39:44SPEAKER_03: Something with the taillies.
- 39:46SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna call it tailies.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, I was like, what, you want a cat?
- 39:51SPEAKER_03: Like I do want to have a cat and I want a puppy.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: I want to I want I mean there's there's a horse and some polar bears, so why not a cat?
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: And a bird, the hurly bird.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: The hurly bird.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: That's why I think this listen, I know you laugh at me when I say they're in purgatory or some stupid shit, and it's kind of funny.
- 40:12SPEAKER_03: It's some kind of ongoing joke.
- 40:14SPEAKER_03: But there's so many things that's happened on this island that's specific to a particular character.
- 40:19SPEAKER_03: Because you're like, really?
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: Like the fucking polar bear and Walt in his comic.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: The fucking bird that sounds like he's saying her.
- 40:30SPEAKER_03: Like there's so many different things that's specific to the character, like Billy.
- 40:36SPEAKER_03: So that's why I think they're all dead.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of a tale of two cities, I'm gonna keep taking my tail every time you say that.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: What would you guess it's about?
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: And if you had to guess who it would focus on, what would you guess?
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Provided you know it's somebody that we've met.
- 40:56SPEAKER_03: Okay, we're assuming that it is because you wouldn't be asking me this question, and it'd be unfair for you to ask me this question knowing someone totally different.
- 41:05SPEAKER_03: Although I'm not above that.
- 41:07SPEAKER_03: I'm not, I'm not above that at all.
- 41:09SPEAKER_03: So proud to call you my friend.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: Um I have to say it because you can't you guys can't see me.
- 41:23SPEAKER_03: Um let's see.
- 41:25SPEAKER_03: Okay, so it ended with Henry saying that's still but that still sticks in my head.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: We're the good guys, and then the whole experiment, the whole science thing, those two things are really stuck in my head for what it's worth.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: Um I feel like it might be um, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Henry Gail flashback, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a continuation of Desmond and Penny Relationship.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: Those two I mean if you think about it, a tale of two cities.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: The titles always have a thing, have a play.
- 42:07SPEAKER_03: So hmm, you might be onto something.
- 42:12SPEAKER_03: Maybe it's maybe it's collaboration between Desmond and Henry, those two cities and how they connect, like their two lives.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, I was I was thinking more in terms of like Penny and Desmond, but okay.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: Well, is it the tale of two cities?
- 42:25SPEAKER_03: Like, I thought it was one of those two, but then like it'll be interesting.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Well, just because she's there and he's here.
- 42:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, those two cities.
- 42:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'll think of only.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: But go ahead, but no, no, I want to hear yours.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 42:35SPEAKER_03: It'll be interesting.
- 42:36SPEAKER_03: I don't think this is actually gonna happen.
- 42:38SPEAKER_03: I think it'll be interesting to see Desmond, whatever city he's living in, connects to Henry, whatever he's he's his thing, it's either some kind of connection between their two lives, whether they not necessarily they meet, but there's something stringing them along.
- 42:53SPEAKER_03: Like Widmore, like Whidmore had he was sailing for Widmore to beat the Whidmore's team boat.
- 43:02SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 43:03SPEAKER_03: But his Penny was actually her, she's in charge.
- 43:07SPEAKER_03: Why can't I speak?
- 43:09SPEAKER_03: Penny's connection to the labs, Widmore Labs, and the obviously this the scientist looking for the island.
- 43:16SPEAKER_03: So that brings her into the fucking way, the fucking train keeps jumping off.
- 43:21SPEAKER_03: So with her connection with the island and the scientific experiment, how did Henry get to the island?
- 43:26SPEAKER_03: So maybe he was working for Dharma in a different matter.
- 43:33SPEAKER_03: So obviously Dharma and Wimmer, I think, have some kind of connection.
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: So okay.
- 43:38SPEAKER_03: It made sense before I got it out.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's a leap.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: Have you seen the show?
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, but damn, like that's that's more out there than the polar bears.
- 43:49SPEAKER_03: Okay, listen, you had the American who ended up like the I call him the American, the ops guy who ended up working for Dharma.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, Kelvin.
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: Yes, I keep calling the American.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: Then so Henry could have worked for Dharma in another area of their experiment.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: But what how but how would that relate to Penny?
- 44:12SPEAKER_03: Penny and Oh, I think Widmore has something to do with it too.
- 44:17SPEAKER_03: Widmore labs, I think something I think Widmore Labs has something to do with Dharma.
- 44:21SPEAKER_03: I think they're working, I think it's a big I think it's an extreme.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the the scientists that were in the Arctic that called Penny do you think that so they're looking for electromagnetism?
- 44:41SPEAKER_03: Which makes sense considering the island's one big electromagnetic.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: How would Penny know that?
- 44:48SPEAKER_03: Thus Widmore and Dharma are somehow connected.
- 44:52SPEAKER_00: So do you think she's looking for Desmond or do you think she's looking for the island?
- 44:58SPEAKER_03: I think she's looking for the island.
- 44:59SPEAKER_03: I don't think she's done I don't because as far as you know, Desmond was pl was sailing in this boat race.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Um so if she finds the island, it's just a happy coincidence.
- 45:12SPEAKER_03: I think it's another coincidence.
- 45:16SPEAKER_03: Unless there was some kind of plan to put them off course to end up at the island, which I think that's just crazy talk.
- 45:23SPEAKER_03: Um it's a whole crazy show.
- 45:27SPEAKER_03: So I mean, I think I think um I think she's looking for the island.
- 45:31SPEAKER_03: And I I'm gonna call the whole island the experiment.
- 45:34SPEAKER_03: So sometimes I might just go back and forth.
- 45:36SPEAKER_03: I think season three, I'm gonna refer to the island as the experiment.
- 45:40SPEAKER_03: Because you see, with the whole like the tape, like the orientation videos, the like Whidmore Penny has her science is looking for, electromagnetic.
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: I I'm gonna call the whole island an experiment.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of what you want to see in season three, you want to see more about the science and the experiment?
- 46:01SPEAKER_03: I think I want to see, I think that's what we're gonna do.
- 46:03SPEAKER_03: I think we're gonna see a lot more about science and good versus evil, like the good of science versus the evil of science.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
- 46:11SPEAKER_03: I like that.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: Well, thank you.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: Thank you very much.
- 46:13SPEAKER_03: My brain, every so often, I know my sales just go ding ding ding ding ding.
- 46:18SPEAKER_03: So you're probably I'm probably out of anything of any intelligence for these other couple weeks.
- 46:26SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: All right, well, you know.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm excited to start season three.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: I know that um when we talk to our friend Jamar, that's like his least favorite season.
- 46:43SPEAKER_00: But I think that season three is good overall.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: I think that season three has a few episodes where they're like, ugh, but I think that it also has some really good episodes.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: So, you know, like the facts of life, you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have it.
- 47:00SPEAKER_03: You have it, the facts of life, season three.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: So um when it comes to the show, he and I have very similar thoughts about a lot of things.
- 47:09SPEAKER_03: So I have a really bad feeling that my next season.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: Except for one overall thing about how you are like indifferent, and he thinks it's like the greatest show ever.
- 47:20SPEAKER_03: So that's a good point.
- 47:22SPEAKER_03: That's a very good point.
- 47:24SPEAKER_03: The fact that he thinks it's the greatest show ever in season three sucked balls, maybe.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: Um knowing what he said?
- 47:33SPEAKER_03: I kinda have to.
- 47:34SPEAKER_03: You're gonna be on my ass if I don't.
- 47:37SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna love it.
- 47:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, baby.
- 47:41SPEAKER_03: I'm taking my tail feather.
- 47:45SPEAKER_03: Do you have a tail feather?
- 47:50SPEAKER_03: Yes, I have a tail feather.
- 47:52SPEAKER_03: Then shake your tail feather.
- 47:55SPEAKER_03: You Happy Feet too?
- 47:59SPEAKER_03: Nope.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Add it to the list.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm gonna go.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: The list of movies I've seen is uh gonna be a lot shorter than the list of movies I have not.
- 48:08SPEAKER_03: So I've never seen Happy Feet, not one or two.
- 48:11SPEAKER_03: I was one of it never did.
- 48:13SPEAKER_03: But there was just some scenes that like you see in commercials, and you're like, Oh, that's so cute.
- 48:19SPEAKER_03: No, so when the first one came out and they were doing the don't push me because I'm close to the edge.
- 48:25SPEAKER_03: You remember that?
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I never know the song.
- 48:29SPEAKER_03: Okay, so it was one of the commercials, like Happy Feet, Dancy Penguins.
- 48:33SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 48:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I know the premise.
- 48:35SPEAKER_03: So anyway, I was singing it.
- 48:38SPEAKER_03: You probably do, and my daughter at that time, she was about, I don't know, nine, ten-ish.
- 48:44SPEAKER_03: She's like, How do you know that song?
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Girl, that song is older than you.
- 48:48SPEAKER_03: Like, it's so it's cute, it's cute.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: That's like when the kids watch um uh sing and they they do like the Elton John song, and they're like, You know that song?
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: Like, girl, I know that just just just watch a movie.
- 49:05SPEAKER_03: To be fair, I think she was a teenager, she wasn't driving yet because she was in the car with me, so she might have been like 15-ish.
- 49:11SPEAKER_03: And what what song came on?
- 49:14SPEAKER_03: It's tricky.
- 49:17SPEAKER_03: And you get the first part, like the intro, and I'm like, uh, uh.
- 49:21SPEAKER_03: And so then they have the chorus playing, they have like the hook, and then all of a sudden the first first starts, and here comes my 15-year-old, like all in it.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: Like, I was like, I am so proud of you, and then it's one of those moments where you both look at each other like, how do you know this song?
- 49:37SPEAKER_03: I was just more like, that's my baby.
- 49:41SPEAKER_03: Trying to like while I'm driving down the fucking highway, but I'm like, that's my baby.
- 49:45SPEAKER_03: Anyway, um, what were we talking about again?
- 49:50SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 49:52SPEAKER_03: I don't know anything anymore.
- 49:53SPEAKER_03: So season three, are we interested?
- 49:55SPEAKER_03: I don't know if I'm excited about it or not.
- 49:57SPEAKER_03: Like, I want to be I'm excited, I want it to be good because season two got me like, okay, it's not so bad.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: So I'm looking for it to being good, but I'm like, I'm afraid that's gonna piss me off.
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: So I um I I failed.
- 50:11SPEAKER_00: I I forgot to look up like the season two trivia.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: I know, I'm sorry.
- 50:17SPEAKER_00: I I completely forgot to do that.
- 50:21SPEAKER_00: So I will have that for you at some point.
- 50:25SPEAKER_03: We're gonna do that's what that's your homework.
- 50:27SPEAKER_03: Season three.
- 50:28SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna start off season three with season two trivia that you couldn't go back to.
- 50:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 50:33SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 50:34SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, my life is so hard.
- 50:36SPEAKER_03: My life is incomplete now.
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and or or depending on how much there is, maybe we can just I I honestly I don't even know if there's a lot or little, but if there's a significant amount, maybe we can just do like a little mini trivia episode.
- 50:51SPEAKER_03: A little episode.
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: Okay, sound like a plans, Dan.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I'm I'm excited for season three.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: I think that um we're going to be introduced to new things.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna get some backstories that are gonna be really interesting.
- 51:15SPEAKER_03: Libby better be on there even if it's indirectly.
- 51:18SPEAKER_03: What'd you say?
- 51:19SPEAKER_03: Libby's better be in there somewhere, even if it's indirectly.
- 51:23SPEAKER_03: Well, because it has to be directly because she's dead.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: But um all right, uh you know what?
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll tell me that to no comment because I'm I'm trying to give you a little bit here.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: But um there will be at least one new character that is a good character.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: Okay, there's one.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: I've said as one.
- 51:51SPEAKER_03: Oh oh oh oh.
- 51:52SPEAKER_03: As at least.
- 51:53SPEAKER_03: Okay, there'd be one that I don't know.
- 51:55SPEAKER_00: Alright, fine, there's at least two.
- 51:57SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: Okay, that's kind of exciting.
- 51:59SPEAKER_00: One of which Alex knows that I like to look at, so I'm just saying.
- 52:03SPEAKER_03: Is he hot?
- 52:04SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: For me good.
- 52:08SPEAKER_03: Do you know what that I feel like there are some people, men, women, that are or in between, I don't want to offend anybody, but there's people that are just empirically good looking.
- 52:19SPEAKER_03: Whether they're your type or not, he can there is he like empirically just like, yeah, whether he's your type or not, he's hot.
- 52:29SPEAKER_03: Okay, because there's some people that you're like, yeah, you're not my type, but you're yeah.
- 52:34SPEAKER_03: I think there's just some people in the world that are just they they span all taste.
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: No, when I see him in anything else, Alex is like, all right, keep your panties on.
- 52:45SPEAKER_03: Like I have it's okay, so I have a this is another reason I like the Fast and Fears franchise.
- 52:53SPEAKER_03: Because like two or three, like they had like all my hotties in one fucking movie.
- 52:57SPEAKER_03: Like I'm in love with Dwayne Johnson.
- 52:59SPEAKER_03: I loved him when he was WWE and the eyebrow.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: You smell of like I will have your pebbles.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: Come here.
- 53:10SPEAKER_03: Um Diesel is sexy to me.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: He's like, you know that you don't like men with hair, do you?
- 53:23SPEAKER_03: I apparently not I think it's something sexy about it.
- 53:27SPEAKER_03: Um who else was in that one?
- 53:30SPEAKER_03: It wasn't it was Ben Diesel, The Rock, and Jason State them.
- 53:35SPEAKER_03: I like I think um he doesn't does he have hair?
- 53:40SPEAKER_03: He has hair.
- 53:41SPEAKER_03: Actually, maybe not.
- 53:45SPEAKER_03: Maybe not.
- 53:46SPEAKER_03: I see uh if it is, it's very close.
- 53:49SPEAKER_03: No, I don't think he has hair.
- 53:50SPEAKER_03: I don't think he has hair.
- 53:51SPEAKER_03: Or if it's very Yeah, I think ball guys do it for me, apparently.
- 53:56SPEAKER_03: So I there was this one scene, like my mother were watching a movie and we were in the living room and I guess she fell asleep, and she happened to wake up doing a scene where all three of them were in the one scene, and she's like, Oh, like she's like, Oh, this is nice.
- 54:17SPEAKER_03: Like and I'm gonna we joke about it, but she's like completely asexual.
- 54:22SPEAKER_03: I don't know how she had me, I don't know how she had us.
- 54:25SPEAKER_03: But um, even them, there's something about them that you have to appreciate, like, oh, get over here.
- 54:31SPEAKER_03: You just want to do like the Model Combat, like, get over here.
- 54:34SPEAKER_03: Um I have such an issue, but yeah.
- 54:40SPEAKER_03: And on that muscular ball guys, here I am.
- 54:45SPEAKER_03: And you heard it here first.
- 54:47SPEAKER_03: There's a commercial for like Bruce Willis now that he's bald.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: Like it's like I have it on my Netflix is paused.
- 54:52SPEAKER_03: So you know how they do like ads of different movies?
- 54:54SPEAKER_03: So now it's like pick Bruce Willis is popped right in.
- 54:58SPEAKER_00: It's funny, but yeah, that's that's email usassinsips at gmail.com if you're muscular and bald.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, Sassin Sips to the love connection.
- 55:15SPEAKER_03: Tinder means podcast I don't know.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: Chuck Woolery.
- 55:19SPEAKER_03: I was thinking more like Tinder, but okay.
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: I think that's a good connection too.
- 55:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, yeah.
- 55:24SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: My mistake.
- 55:26SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 55:29SPEAKER_00: I take it back.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: Tinder is probably more accurate.
- 55:35SPEAKER_03: I want love.
- 55:36SPEAKER_03: I really do.
- 55:37SPEAKER_03: That's why I'm still single, and that's why I'm a reborn virgin, because I actually want love.
- 55:42SPEAKER_03: But nobody wants to love.
- 55:44SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 55:45SPEAKER_03: And I like I I I see some of my I see some of my friends, and I'm like, oh god, I'm glad I'm single.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, like I was like, we're recording.
- 56:00SPEAKER_00: I'm not.
- 56:03SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's not a juicy.
- 56:06SPEAKER_03: Or or sad.
- 56:07SPEAKER_03: I don't know which one.
- 56:10SPEAKER_03: I mean, maybe both.
- 56:13SPEAKER_03: I think I know where you're going.
- 56:14SPEAKER_03: I really think I know where you're going.
- 56:16SPEAKER_03: You always know where I'm going.
- 56:19SPEAKER_03: Oh, we're both with that sick train.
- 56:21SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 56:22SPEAKER_03: It's a fun train to be on, damn it.
- 56:25SPEAKER_03: Well, fucking.
- 56:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 56:30SPEAKER_00: Well, season three.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: You okay?
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: Did you laugh too hard?
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: No, it's been bothering me for the past couple of days, and it's just happened to turn it around and just kind of aggravated it.
- 56:45SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 56:48SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 56:49SPEAKER_03: I don't want oh gizmo.
- 56:52SPEAKER_03: And that's why you keep falling.
- 56:53SPEAKER_03: You're in the area you're not supposed to be in.
- 56:55SPEAKER_03: You keep losing your fucking balance, you dumb fuck.
- 56:58SPEAKER_03: That's why he can't get out.
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: He's like stuck in a spot that he can't get out.
- 57:03SPEAKER_03: Dumbass.
- 57:04SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
- 57:07SPEAKER_03: Okay, so next to my nightstand, in between my nightstand and my dresser, there's a like a little space.
- 57:13SPEAKER_03: And I had all the stuff there before, so now I kind of clean things out.
- 57:16SPEAKER_03: So only thing there is I keep the tray where I have my computer tip on now, and a train case with my with stuff in it, and my fan.
- 57:27SPEAKER_03: So it's pretty much an empty spot now that the table is gone, like I'm using the table.
- 57:31SPEAKER_03: So he's trying to climb over, balance on nothingness, trying to turn around.
- 57:36SPEAKER_03: That's what you get for being nosy.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: But it's a cat, that's like his main job.
- 57:43SPEAKER_03: Well, I ain't gonna save your nosy ass.
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: I ain't gonna cuddle with you, I ain't gonna save you from being stupid.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: But he's such a sweet boy.
- 57:57SPEAKER_02: I love my boy.
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: You ready to wrap it up?
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: That's what she said.
- 58:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 58:10SPEAKER_00: So season two is in the books.
- 58:13SPEAKER_00: And we will be back.
- 58:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh god help me.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 58:19SPEAKER_02: I love doing that to you.
- 58:20SPEAKER_00: See, but see season three has 22 episodes, but I think but I know four and five are much shorter.
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: I'm not I don't remember about six.
- 58:32SPEAKER_00: So but yeah, we'll be back next time with season three and uh a tale of two cities, and God only remembers what Agnes said that was gonna be about and who it was gonna be about.
- 58:44SPEAKER_00: So I'm not even gonna touch that.
- 58:48SPEAKER_03: That was like that was like uh some clusterfuck of that was like lost on steroids, kind of like that was Agnes's brain.
- 58:58SPEAKER_03: It kind of makes sense.
- 58:59SPEAKER_03: Widmore and Dharma are connected somehow, somehow.
- 59:03SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 59:03SPEAKER_03: So Henry Gale may be connected to Dharma.
- 59:06SPEAKER_03: Okay, obviously Penny's attached to Widmore, so there should be some some of that Penny and her father.
- 59:14SPEAKER_00: What do you think the relationship is there?
- 59:18SPEAKER_03: Okay, if we won't go by law standards, it's not a good relationship.
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: No, but but okay, I think the father went out of his way to keep her away from Desmond.
- 59:30SPEAKER_03: They have a love for each other, but I don't think it's the storybook love.
- 59:34SPEAKER_03: I think I don't, you know, the whole like TV, he's my best friend.
- 59:39SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 59:39SPEAKER_03: I think there's some kind of contentious that there's maybe some kind of power play there going on.
- 59:45SPEAKER_03: She's obviously part of his company, so I think they do love and respect each other.
- 59:49SPEAKER_03: I think in this case, I think with Penny her father, I think they're gonna be very much alike.
