- 0:00Speaker 1: It's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Rich has life hacks. This is pretty big news. Spider-Man,
- 0:05Speaker 1: brand new day, has surpassed Avengers Endgame to become the
- 0:10Speaker 1: second highest grossing movie in the United States. It's only
- 0:14Speaker 1: behind Star Wars The Force Awakens, and it's on pace
- 0:16Speaker 1: to beat it.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Dang.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Because more people saw that than Avatar. Avatar shouldn't be
- 0:20Speaker 3: in that discussion.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Well, I didn't bring up Avatar. It's not.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yeah, but they always say it's supposed to be the
- 0:25Speaker 3: number one and number two grossing movies ever.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Well, Star Wars, The Force Awakens is number one, according
- 0:31Speaker 2: to this list.
- 0:31Speaker 1: You know, what's funny is I thought about what I'm
- 0:34Speaker 1: about to tell you right now. I thought about purchasing
- 0:36Speaker 1: for Kyle, you know, because, you know, we've got unfugged
- 0:39Speaker 1: feet on Instagram where her feet are showcased.
- 0:41Speaker 2: You have beautiful feet.
- 0:43Speaker 1: And it's this new trend called barefoot high heels.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Have you seen this trend?
- 0:47Speaker 4: I haven't seen the trend.
- 0:48Speaker 2: You have not seen.
- 0:49Speaker 1: So it's these heels and I guess they cover everything,
- 0:52Speaker 1: but maybe the balls of your feet and they're high
- 0:54Speaker 1: heels and there are people wearing them.
- 0:55Speaker 5: There's clear.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 2: They just touch on the ground.
- 0:58Speaker 1: So I thought, I'm going to buy these for Kyle
- 1:00Speaker 1: and put them on unfucked feet.
- 1:01Speaker 2: $ 2, 000? Yikes. Never mind. Never mind.
- 1:05Speaker 6: Yikes.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 6: Yikes.
- 1:08Speaker 7: They're $ 2, 000. I guess it's a heel beneath the back
- 1:13Speaker 7: of your foot, and then it drops down to nothing
- 1:14Speaker 7: below your arch, leaving the ball of your foot touching
- 1:16Speaker 7: the ground. In fact, wasn't somebody wearing that at a
- 1:18Speaker 7: movie premiere that we talked about the other day?
- 1:20Speaker 4: Margaret Qualley did. She, like, had her toe. It was, like,
- 1:23Speaker 4: just a heel.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 4: It wasn't a high heel, but it was just a
- 1:25Speaker 4: heel for that movie that she's in with Jacob Elordi.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Just a heel, but the other part naked.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it was naked. It kind of looked like a little, like,
- 1:32Speaker 4: gladiator shoe on the back, kind of.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Blockbuster made $ 800 million in late fees in the year 2000.
- 1:39Speaker 2: They had a good thing going. That is insane.
- 1:45Speaker 1: This makes me think of Kyle like right now because
- 1:47Speaker 1: you're on your keyboard. If you snack while typing, microbiologists
- 1:51Speaker 1: say that your keyboard is probably a lot dirtier than
- 1:53Speaker 1: you think. A combination of food residue with saliva from
- 1:56Speaker 1: your fingers can turn your keyboard into a bacteria cafeteria.
- 1:59Speaker 4: I believe that. I can see that.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Researchers have found genetic evidence that insomnia and longer sleep
- 2:06Speaker 1: duration and daytime nappings are all connected to higher risks
- 2:12Speaker 1: of developing hemorrhoids.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Oh, that's bad.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Okay. Felt like you could have kept that information to yourself.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I mean, it's important to share that.
- 2:20Speaker 4: I don't want to know that my naps during the
- 2:23Speaker 4: day are going to cause hemorrhoids. But it's combining all
- 2:26Speaker 4: those things.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you're fine.
- 2:28Speaker 1: A popular New Jersey beach was closed to swimmers after
- 2:31Speaker 1: dozens of syringes washed up on shore.
- 2:34Speaker 6: Oh.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Syringes. Safety is a big deal. And I think that
- 2:39Speaker 2: syringes and God knows what's on them.
- 2:41Speaker 3: We had no open wounds.
- 2:42Speaker 2: We talked about that even before we went in. And
- 2:45Speaker 2: we decided to give it a try.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Plus, if there's a straight needle and you step on it,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I was a little nervous about it.
- 2:51Speaker 6: One beach cleanup is definitely not enough to say something's safe.
- 2:55Speaker 6: This is, you know, we can't change what's out in
- 2:58Speaker 6: the oceans or what people have done in the past,
- 3:00Speaker 6: but we can change our reaction to it.
- 3:01Speaker 1: The beach remained open, but lifeguards urged people to stay
- 3:04Speaker 1: out of the water. gross yeah that is nasty isn't
- 3:07Speaker 1: it get this police in poland arrested a 23 year
- 3:10Speaker 1: old guy after he ordered hundreds of pizza to be
- 3:13Speaker 1: delivered at random addresses across the.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Country did he pay for it i mean i don't.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Know but that sounds funny to me yeah that sounds.
- 3:19Speaker 6: Like if he paid for it that's like a real
- 3:20Speaker 6: love up.
- 3:23Speaker 1: And this i wanted to play yesterday i love this
- 3:26Speaker 1: so much this meteorologist was doing the weather And just
- 3:31Speaker 1: started laughing. Something happened behind the scenes. I don't know
- 3:34Speaker 1: what happened. I know that he's addressed it, but I
- 3:35Speaker 1: can't find the audio or him addressing it. And I've
- 3:38Speaker 1: watched it so many times. And it's actually funnier listening
- 3:41Speaker 1: to it than watching it. Because the guy's got, doesn't
- 3:43Speaker 1: look like the kind of guy that like can, I don't.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Know, he just looks serious with facial hair and stuff.
- 3:48Speaker 5: What, Noah? I know the back story.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Okay, so I'll play it.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Then you tell me the backstory because I don't want
- 3:53Speaker 1: it to change my point of view.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So the guy's doing the weather.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Sorry, we're having a little bit of a scene off
- 3:57Speaker 1: screen and resulting in the chance for a few bands
- 4:01Speaker 1: of storms in some spots. We got to finish up
- 4:05Speaker 1: this weather right now.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I've never had this happen before.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Oh, geez.
- 4:15Speaker 2: All right, let me get it together real quick. Josh,
- 4:20Speaker 2: please take it.
- 4:22Speaker 5: You have the professionalism, Patrick.
- 4:27Speaker 2: He walks off screen. Oh, my God, I love that guy.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I know, I know. I love that guy. So what's
- 4:31Speaker 2: the behind the scenes, Noah?
- 4:32Speaker 5: The co-anchor, Josh, his previous story had gone on too long.
- 4:36Speaker 5: And during the commercial break, they went in the back
- 4:39Speaker 5: and he played the Charlie Brown womp, womp, womp, womp
- 4:42Speaker 5: noise to, like, pick on him.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 4:44Speaker 5: But instead of just finding the sound effect on YouTube,
- 4:47Speaker 5: he had clicked on one hour of silence with occasional womp, womp, womp,
- 4:52Speaker 5: womp noises playing in the background, and he had forgotten
- 4:54Speaker 5: about it, and it was cued to his earpiece. So
- 4:58Speaker 5: when they went back to set and he was doing
- 4:59Speaker 5: his meteorology report through the earpiece out of nowhere with
- 5:03Speaker 5: the Charlie Brown noise, and it sent him off.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Into a spiral. That's funny. That's pretty good. I'm glad
- 5:07Speaker 2: it happened because that made my day. That's so funny.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Made me like him. That's so funny. I would watch
- 5:11Speaker 2: that guy. He seems sweet. What do you got for
- 5:12Speaker 2: life hacks? All right.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So you people, your phones are killing you.
- 5:16Speaker 2: And I'll tell you why.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Because the further you tilt your head forward while staring
- 5:21Speaker 3: at your phone... the greater the effective load placed on
- 5:24Speaker 3: your neck. So check this out. At a steep angle,
- 5:26Speaker 3: when you're looking down in your phone, that means your
- 5:29Speaker 3: cervical spine can approach 60 pounds of pressure on your
- 5:33Speaker 3: neck over time, hunching over, that's gonna be a problem
- 5:37Speaker 3: for you. So when you look at your phone, when
- 5:39Speaker 3: you're scrolling, try to keep it closer to your eye
- 5:42Speaker 3: level or take regular screen breaks or do what I do.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Now I've got a little stand on my phone and
- 5:47Speaker 3: I put it on my desk so I'm not really
- 5:48Speaker 3: looking down. I'm looking across at it. That's going to
- 5:52Speaker 3: help you in the future with your neck. We'll show
- 5:54Speaker 3: you a diagram. We'll put a couple of pictures up.
- 5:56Speaker 3: We'll take it from our phones at eye level so
- 5:58Speaker 3: that you can be safe. That life hack and many
- 6:00Speaker 3: more can be found at johnjanerich.com.
