- 0:00Erin Gray: Welcome back to Your Money, Your Rules podcast with me, your host, Erin Gray.
- 0:04Erin Gray: Today I want to share with you where the podcast is going, my decision behind it, and then what that means for each of you.
- 0:11Erin Gray: So let's dive in.
- 0:12Erin Gray: When I started the podcast back in early of 2023, I think it was March or April of 2023.
- 0:17Erin Gray: It was originally called Generate a Life Well Lived, which is actually what I, my company is called, because I truly believe that we all have everything inside of us to generate a life well lived.
- 0:29Erin Gray: And on the podcast, it was about business.
- 0:31Erin Gray: I talked about business and a money mindset and sharing my story and my voice authentically, because I felt like maybe in the podcasting world, there isn't maybe not as a vocal about your journey with money.
- 0:45Erin Gray: And I really wanted to be able to speak my truth and share what I wanted to share.
- 0:50Erin Gray: And then as I, you know, got more clarity, like everything in life, right?
- 0:55Erin Gray: Then I changed the podcast name in March of 2025 to Your Money, Your Rules to talk more specifically about having a healthier relationship with money, healing money trauma, you know, our emotional regulation and what needs to occur in our nervous system, following our intuition, understanding your human design, and really just having a healthier, more calm and confident relationship with money.
- 1:22Erin Gray: And I've been primarily helping, I've always attracted high net worth women who have had more what I call a poverty conscious or a scarcity mindset when it comes to money.
- 1:32Erin Gray: Like these are women that are very wealthy on paper, but they wouldn't ever consider themselves to be that way.
- 1:37Erin Gray: And so really have been helping them have a different relationship with money, a more prosperous and abundant relationship with money.
- 1:43Erin Gray: Now, many of these clients also have their own businesses.
- 1:46Erin Gray: So we've also been doing, you know, business coaching along with the whole money mindset.
- 1:51Erin Gray: And I've coached, you know, these women and clients through their business and their money mindset and emotions and like the whole gamut of everything.
- 1:59Erin Gray: Like I always feel like I like to say that I use money as the portal to get into, you know, what's really going on with you.
- 2:07Erin Gray: But some people they might coach on health.
- 2:09Erin Gray: It's it's all the same, right?
- 2:11Erin Gray: Like at the end of the day, we're all wanting to elevate consciousness.
- 2:14Erin Gray: We're wanting to feel more calm and confident and be in a more creative state versus a survival state.
- 2:20Erin Gray: And so I have been helping women, you know, do this.
- 2:24Erin Gray: And so when I think about like, okay, where is this podcast going?
- 2:29Erin Gray: It's it's not really gonna change much because everything that I've already been talking about, I am going to continue to talk about with the money mindset, but I am going to focus more so on seven-figure business owners, female founders with their money mindset leadership skills.
- 2:45Erin Gray: So I'll be talking more about leading your team and just obviously leading yourself, trusting yourself, which I already do talk about, you know, trusting yourself and your intuition.
- 2:53Erin Gray: And that more feminine, I know we need both feminine and masculine energy, but really what I've noticed with the clients is we aren't in the feminine energy as much as what we probably could be.
- 3:04Erin Gray: And more of that advisory position that I hold with the women that I currently help.
- 3:10Erin Gray: You know, as I have mentioned on the podcast before, this is exactly what I did with a little bit of tweaks, right?
- 3:16Erin Gray: Like it was a very male-dominated, you know, in the construction business.
- 3:19Erin Gray: This is what I did for my dad and my uncle, more so primarily for my dad.
- 3:23Erin Gray: I was definitely his advisor.
- 3:25Erin Gray: And, you know, I wish I had an err in my corner.
- 3:28Erin Gray: I wish I had someone like me that I could talk to, that I could be supported with, that I could, you know, have someone looking at like that 30,000-foot view.
- 3:38Erin Gray: And even though I did that for my dad, a lot of the times of my learning through bookkeeping and taxes and, you know, attorneys and insurance, all of that was done on my own.
- 3:49Erin Gray: And then I would pay our advisors, you know, I would ask the questions and I would pay them for their time to teach me or answer the questions that I didn't know.
- 3:58Erin Gray: So I really wish that I did have an Aaron in my corner.
- 4:01Erin Gray: And what I'm recognizing is that this is definitely something that women are asking for.
- 4:06Erin Gray: And it is not as, I don't know if readily available is the word, but anyone that I do talk to about what I do, they say, oh my gosh, Aaron, this is so needed and I don't know anyone like it.
- 4:16Erin Gray: And so I know that this is definitely something that women and men, of course, you know, can can use because they are asking for it and it's not really out there.
- 4:28Erin Gray: And so, like I said, I wish I would have had someone like me in my corner when I was running the business.
- 4:33Erin Gray: And I just love, absolutely love supporting women in this way, you know, being on their side and their team to help them make intuitive decisions and to trust themselves and to understand all of the parts of running a business.
- 4:47Erin Gray: And what I have realized is that these women truly want an advocate and a partner and a holistic advisor of sorts, if you want to call it that, that can look at the whole picture, that can look at that 30,000-foot view and see where they are and where they are going and anticipate what they need.
- 5:05Erin Gray: Because one of the things that I always get is like, Aaron, I don't know what I don't know.
- 5:08Erin Gray: And I'm like, I know.
- 5:10Erin Gray: I know there's a lot of I knows in that whole sentence, but like, yeah, I know it, right?
- 5:14Erin Gray: Like a lot of times how we learn things is by trial and error.
- 5:18Erin Gray: We just do it as business owners and we either pay with time or money or both.
- 5:23Erin Gray: Like we learn the lessons that way.
- 5:25Erin Gray: And also having someone like me in your corner that knows the things to ask.
- 5:29Erin Gray: I was just on a call with a bookkeeper and a client, you know, and she told me, you know, like you've you're asking all the questions I didn't know to ask.
- 5:36Erin Gray: And I'm like, yes, of course, because this is what I've done for 20 plus years, right?
- 5:40Erin Gray: So I wouldn't expect someone that hasn't done that, that that is learning to know all that.
- 5:46Erin Gray: And I think that it is that that is what women are asking for is to have someone, you know, to anticipate, to be in their corner and support them and understand what I call, you know, that 3D of money, like your taxes, to be the liaison between your CPA and your bookkeeper and your financial planner and your attorneys and your insurance agent, you know, and helping you and understanding yourself better so that you can trust yourself, that you can run your team, that you can support your employees or your contractors, um, as well as supporting, you know, your nervous system, all the emotional regulation stuff, understanding your human design.
- 6:24Erin Gray: I've even, you know, started breaking out and thinking about okay, how do I help them help their team understand their human design?
- 6:30Erin Gray: Because how you mentor and coach one employee with their human design is going to be vastly different than someone else, right?
- 6:37Erin Gray: Like how I would coach a manifestor would be completely different than how I would coach a projector if they were an employee of mine.
- 6:42Erin Gray: And so understanding all of that so that you can truly trust yourself and you can trust your intuition and you can trust your knowing above anyone else, any advisor.
- 6:54Erin Gray: And so what I've recognized is at this level, women don't ask like, how do I budget?
- 7:00Erin Gray: They ask like, how do I make more aligned financial decisions?
- 7:03Erin Gray: How do I lead myself?
- 7:04Erin Gray: How do I trust myself at this level?
- 7:07Erin Gray: How do I lead my team?
- 7:08Erin Gray: You know, they're not asking like, how do I talk to a CPA?
- 7:11Erin Gray: They're saying, can you be or translate for me, right?
- 7:14Erin Gray: What my CPA, my bookkeeper, my financial planner, my attorney, my insurance agent are actually saying.
- 7:20Erin Gray: And a lot of times I am on the calls with these clients, with their insurance agent or their bookkeeper because, like I said, I feel like I am like the liaison.
- 7:30Erin Gray: Like I dance in those two worlds.
- 7:32Erin Gray: I dance in the understanding, the 3D and the language of this, of this stuff.
- 7:37Erin Gray: Let's just use insurance, right?
- 7:39Erin Gray: Like, how many times have I renewed a general liability policy or, you know, inland marine or all of the terms, right?
- 7:46Erin Gray: Of insurance so that I can then support the client at the highest level that she may not be knowing what to ask her her agent.
- 7:54Erin Gray: And so helping, you know, them make these decisions to trust themselves, not me giving them the answers, but really helping them come back home to themselves, trusting themselves and their intuition so that they feel good, they feel grounded and they know where they are going.
- 8:10Erin Gray: So, what can you expect moving forward?
- 8:13Erin Gray: This podcast, like me, like everything, it's ever evolving.
- 8:17Erin Gray: And to what I think about is I'm still gonna be talking about all the topics that I already have because no matter where you are in your business, these topics apply, right?
- 8:26Erin Gray: So if you are new here and you are just getting started in business, these are things that I'll be talking about.
- 8:31Erin Gray: It's things that you need to learn and take note of because it's going to be, you know, you're gonna hit it at some point.
- 8:37Erin Gray: So, but I will be more focused on specifically topics of running a seven-figure business and then what you address at that level.
- 8:46Erin Gray: But the topics that I've been talking about, they're gonna stay the same.
- 8:49Erin Gray: They're just gonna be more focused maybe on leadership and deeper on intuition and trusting yourself and leading your team and diving into, you know, the more specifics of that.
- 9:00Erin Gray: But this is an invitation, I think, for you to ascend, for all of us to ascend.
- 9:05Erin Gray: You know, if you're a seg seven-figure entrepreneur or you're on your way there, then this is gonna feel like home.
- 9:11Erin Gray: I'm gonna be speaking the language that you're used to hearing or that you're craving to hear, right?
- 9:16Erin Gray: It's probably gonna feel like a space that you've been craving to be in or to be to feel seen and to feel heard.
- 9:22Erin Gray: You know, that's what I hear from clients.
- 9:24Erin Gray: Like, I'm so glad that I found you or that like you exist because we have this business idea in the world of like business coaching or business consulting, and then you have all your advisors, but like nobody's taking it all.
- 9:37Erin Gray: Uh I'm like thinking in my mind, it's like a melting pot, right?
- 9:41Erin Gray: Like I am like your melting pot and I look at everything and we have everything together and then making it so clear for you.
- 9:47Erin Gray: So, and to be honest, you know, this is they they say that this is like support that I haven't had anywhere else.
- 9:54Erin Gray: And yeah, it's kind of one of those things of like, I think you have to go through something to recognize what you need and then what might be missing in the marketplace.
- 10:03Erin Gray: And I will say that, you know, running a family business for 10 years and figuring out all the ins and the outs and the do's and the don'ts and recognizing what I think women are craving in the marketplace of having someone in their corner that looks at everything that isn't just an advisor, but looks at the whole of you and the whole of your business and looks at every area and makes, you know, it's not just business, right?
- 10:33Erin Gray: It's your personal, it's your emotional, like it's all of it that we look at and we that we support.
- 10:39Erin Gray: So I feel super excited because, you know, it's bringing together all of my 20 years of experience in financial planning, CFP, CFO, running a business, understanding money psychology and all of the emotional sides of money, which is a big part, right?
- 10:55Erin Gray: Of running a business.
- 10:56Erin Gray: You know, my passion for intuitive leadership.
- 11:00Erin Gray: I think that I was in my emotional release therapy session the other day, and she said, you know, Aaron, what's coming up is that you have been taught that business is intellectual, but you actually run business both ways, intellectual and emotional.
- 11:14Erin Gray: And your body is sometimes it like it it senses that, right?
- 11:18Erin Gray: It feels the conflict.
- 11:20Erin Gray: And I was like, Yeah, you know, like I running my family's construction business, it was very much so intellectual.
- 11:25Erin Gray: I had a lot of intuitiveness, I had a lot of knowing.
- 11:28Erin Gray: And I think my dad and my uncle would always ask me, like, well, where is this coming from?
- 11:32Erin Gray: Give us the data.
- 11:33Erin Gray: And I couldn't provide it, but my intuition was on point.
- 11:36Erin Gray: And so my passion, my desire for women to follow their intuition and to trust themselves, like that is the fastest way to get to where you're going.
- 11:45Erin Gray: Not that we're in a rush, but like when you have and honed in your intuition, oh man, it makes running a business so much easier.
- 11:52Erin Gray: And then obviously, you know, my gift for translating very complex financial, the financial world, right?
- 11:59Erin Gray: And into distilling it down into making it so simple and easy and clear and so that you can make grounded decisions.
- 12:07Erin Gray: So I'm here for the whole of you, you know, your business, your leadership, your emotional world, your intuition, your legacy.
- 12:14Erin Gray: And this is just the next chapter.
- 12:16Erin Gray: So I'm so excited that you're here with me for it.
- 12:19Erin Gray: I want to say thank you to all of you for listening, for being on this journey with me.
- 12:24Erin Gray: It's been an amazing, what are we at?
- 12:26Erin Gray: Now we're going into three years of podcasting.
- 12:28Erin Gray: I can't wait to see what is going to come down the pipe and what, you know, what's on its way.
- 12:34Erin Gray: And I'm just so grateful for each of you that listen, all of the countries that you listen, all of the cities that you listen in.
- 12:40Erin Gray: I'm just so grateful for each of you.
- 12:42Erin Gray: And I love sharing my knowledge, sharing my experience with you.
- 12:47Erin Gray: I feel like podcasting is such an intimate, you know, like you're in someone's ear.
- 12:53Erin Gray: They're cooking dinner, or they're running, or they're at the gym, or they're, you know, just drop their kids off from school.
- 12:59Erin Gray: Like it's such an intimate way that you get to know and learn about someone.
- 13:04Erin Gray: And I just want to say thank you so much.
- 13:07Erin Gray: And I'm so grateful that you have allowed me to be in your ear.
- 13:11Erin Gray: So I appreciate you.
- 13:13Erin Gray: And as always, I love you and I'm rooting for you.
- 13:16Erin Gray: And I will see you in the next episode.
