The Mets are reeling, clinging to last place with injuries decimating their roster — but hope is on the horizon. Star slugger Juan Soto, sidelined since late July with a calf issue, and closer Devin Williams, who battled arm fatigue and a strain since early August, are both expected back in September. Soto’s been hitting .283 with 21 homers and 52 RBIs before his injury, while Williams posted a 4.66 ERA with 16 saves before going down.
