- 0:08Speaker 1: I just landed from a very long flight. How long
- 0:13Speaker 1: was the flight? The beginning joke you through my itinerary.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm on set with Priyanka in Hydrobad, India at four
- 0:23Speaker 1: p m standard Indian center time. There for a few hours.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Get on the I leave from there. Go to the airport.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Not about an hour on the ground in hydro Bud.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Get on the plane, go Hydrobud. What the fuck? Oh
- 0:40Speaker 1: that's the sign again. It's a side. So Hydrobad to Dubai.
- 0:46Speaker 1: About two hours in the ground, Dubai, Dubai here to
- 0:49Speaker 1: Dallas in the Dubai airport. Because it's always an chilling
- 0:52Speaker 1: I was chilling. It was uh layover watching some TikTok,
- 0:57Speaker 1: just catching up on things because you can't watch it
- 0:59Speaker 1: in India exactly. Me and Joe got her nails done
- 1:02Speaker 1: at the Dubai airport last and we flew together. How
- 1:05Speaker 1: luxury of you. So this this trip to India came
- 1:08Speaker 1: after me and Joe's vacation in Spain, which was awesome,
- 1:12Speaker 1: so much fun. It looked incredible. Well, the so the
- 1:15Speaker 1: house was sick. We were in a small town outside
- 1:17Speaker 1: of Valencia. They're known for their payaya and we rented
- 1:22Speaker 1: this house so that the owner of the home is
- 1:24Speaker 1: from Holland sorry Dutch and same thing. Well, I wasn't sure.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I just got nervous, like I fucked up. I mean,
- 1:34Speaker 1: you say that's incorrect. That's the falls. It's very interesting.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It's like we have it only cub button, all right.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So the homeowner's Dutch. Her husband, who is the chef
- 1:43Speaker 1: for us, she's not the homeowner, she was the house management.
- 1:48Speaker 1: But the homeowner is Dutch as well. So everyone's touch
- 1:51Speaker 1: everyone was everyone is Dutch, and we were in Spain
- 1:55Speaker 1: and it was took It was weird. It was like
- 1:56Speaker 1: a black mirror episode because like everyone's Dutch, everyone's Dutch.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It was amazing. I was like, oh, this this is interesting.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It was. It was an amazing experience, but it did take
- 2:05Speaker 1: you out of the experience of being in Spain. We
- 2:07Speaker 1: asked multiple people to were like, so, what what's the
- 2:10Speaker 1: reason that this little beach town in Spain is just
- 2:13Speaker 1: sort of overrun? And they're like, uh, I don't know.
- 2:16Speaker 1: They're like, well, they just there's just a flight that
- 2:19Speaker 1: takes you here. That was the answer. I was wild,
- 2:22Speaker 1: what does that mean? But by the way, not just
- 2:25Speaker 1: the people that owned the home and took care of us.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I walked to the local pharmacy Dutch, Dutch, gotch. I
- 2:31Speaker 1: went to that village, meet and che no, it's it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: a Spanish town. Well it's now a Dutch village. And
- 2:36Speaker 1: I went to the meat and GeSe shop Dutch. However, Okay,
- 2:40Speaker 1: there was something that we want to show you flip here.
- 2:43Speaker 1: This was the night that Spain, while we're in Spain
- 2:47Speaker 1: won the World Cup. On the streets. It was incredible.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So we stayed up late with mom and dad and
- 2:55Speaker 1: you know, kids, we're asleep and just kind of magical
- 2:59Speaker 1: silence and city throughout the whole World Cup final match.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And then you start probably one horn, one horn, horn
- 3:07Speaker 1: till four in the morning, five in the morning, car horns, mayhem.
- 3:11Speaker 1: As you can see, Dog's worst nightmare, Dog's worst nightmare.
- 3:14Speaker 1: But we had a great vacation and then me and
- 3:17Speaker 1: Multi Marine and Prianco flew to India and I just
- 3:20Speaker 1: got back. We have some shows and we have a
- 3:22Speaker 1: big week next week going into Camp Brook three Disney Legends.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's a big Disney week for us, Big Disney week.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Let's go back to vacation, Kevin, we talked to you
- 3:32Speaker 1: about your vacation and you said that you got heated
- 3:35Speaker 1: and you didn't get invited to breakfast, which sucks for you. Yes,
- 3:38Speaker 1: it's true they had breakfast without you. I didn't mean to laugh.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It was just it was, you know, it seemed like
- 3:45Speaker 1: a big deal in the moment when it really wasn't
- 3:47Speaker 1: a big deal. But I guess heated moments when you're
- 3:50Speaker 1: like really tight and everything's happening around here. You planned
- 3:53Speaker 1: the whole thing. Sure I did. You can own that.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I definitely planned all of it. And then you paid
- 3:59Speaker 1: for it. Paid for it. But you know what that
- 4:02Speaker 1: see your family or friends having breakfast about you, You're like,
- 4:05Speaker 1: wt did anything like that happen on your vacation where
- 4:08Speaker 1: you guys were a little bit spent a little too
- 4:10Speaker 1: much time together? Oh, I don't know, not necessarily hit
- 4:16Speaker 1: a great time. Great. My room was very cold. I
- 4:19Speaker 1: was so happy. His room was very cold. I was
- 4:21Speaker 1: happy for my room was not as cold. Yeah, that
- 4:24Speaker 1: was the big That was a little interesting. It was
- 4:26Speaker 1: like an ice box. I did update on the sleep
- 4:28Speaker 1: stuff because we talked about this one. I did end
- 4:30Speaker 1: up getting the eight sleep thing that we that you mentioned. Wallet.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You like, I'm surprised you don't have that. Well I
- 4:34Speaker 1: have it now. You tell someone this is not to
- 4:37Speaker 1: pay that. But it's it's actually funny because Danielle got
- 4:42Speaker 1: kind of upset with me that I just got it,
- 4:45Speaker 1: installed it and didn't ask her permission and it's our
- 4:48Speaker 1: bed together. Yeah, I mean I would be that would
- 4:50Speaker 1: be irritating. He said that, like we'd be like, No,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I was updating you on the scenario, and she's right.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I should have totally talked to her more about it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I like that, daniel sound more about it. You should
- 5:05Speaker 1: have talked to her about it. Period. I did talk
- 5:07Speaker 1: to her about it. I just because I can hear
- 5:09Speaker 1: the trucks saw So it's a cover that goes on
- 5:14Speaker 1: the bed cover. So it makes it less So you
- 5:18Speaker 1: were less at fault because it's just a cover. No,
- 5:20Speaker 1: she saw the box that she knew was there. About it,
- 5:23Speaker 1: It's like she saw the boxes she knew was there.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I didn't have to have a conversation. It was a
- 5:28Speaker 1: cover up. It's a cover. No, the bed cover has
- 5:33Speaker 1: I didn't understand this. I didn't really do too much research.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But you feel this unit on this. But this argument
- 5:39Speaker 1: is not looking good for you. I didn't I was
- 5:41Speaker 1: in am. Don't be mad at me. I didn't even
- 5:43Speaker 1: do I didn't do much research. This thing is supposed
- 5:45Speaker 1: to Nick and Joe. Joe said we needed this. I
- 5:49Speaker 1: don't know they bought it. Actually, whatever you cover, you
- 5:52Speaker 1: fill up this thing with water and it's okay. What Yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 1: it circulates the water into the cover that's on the
- 6:00Speaker 1: You can't feel. It's like super super small. No, it's not.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It's like the tubing though, is being pumped through. You
- 6:06Speaker 1: don't hear it. It's completely silent, and you can set
- 6:09Speaker 1: your regulatoratory temperature to either be really cold or actually
- 6:13Speaker 1: it warms you up. So in the morning, who the
- 6:15Speaker 1: hell want a warm bed? But here's the thing. It's
- 6:18Speaker 1: the alarm, so you have to wake up at eight am.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It warms up to wake you up, and like you
- 6:22Speaker 1: wake up from sleep in a calming manner compared to
- 6:26Speaker 1: being at me. And then the other side of it
- 6:30Speaker 1: is it cools and watches your body. If you're like
- 6:33Speaker 1: getting into deep rem it'll actually drop the temperature further,
- 6:36Speaker 1: so you like go into a deeper state. My sleep
- 6:39Speaker 1: has been What about sex incredible? What about sex? Because
- 6:43Speaker 1: I warmed up the bed to make it all super
- 6:45Speaker 1: nice and warm and toasty. When you're waking up, it
- 6:47Speaker 1: literally warms the bed like you pissed yourself and you
- 6:52Speaker 1: should wake up and you're like, oh no, it felt
- 6:55Speaker 1: nice and it does. Never mind, it's just it's just
- 6:58Speaker 1: the cover up. It vibrates as well. I don't want
- 7:00Speaker 1: to go just to cover up what you want the
- 7:03Speaker 1: vibrated bed. What do you want us to plow the
- 7:06Speaker 1: tubes in? It's kind of like you didn't free fill
- 7:10Speaker 1: the fucking water you want or you want the aquapana.
- 7:16Speaker 1: We're not getting eight sleep beds to us where you
- 7:19Speaker 1: can send me another one for each one of my
- 7:20Speaker 1: beds in this house. It'd be fun to just well, question,
- 7:25Speaker 1: did you let her know like when it was installed
- 7:28Speaker 1: or she just or she woke up to like really
- 7:31Speaker 1: herself and rightfully so she got really, She's like, why
- 7:33Speaker 1: do you do this? You changed it now? I was
- 7:36Speaker 1: perfectly fun with our bed. Now it's different, and then
- 7:38Speaker 1: you changed the bed before. She said why why you
- 7:40Speaker 1: did it? We went from a regular bed to a
- 7:43Speaker 1: sleep number and you didn't let her know. No, we
- 7:45Speaker 1: talked about that. We was shopped for that together, okay,
- 7:47Speaker 1: But I wanted to do I wanted a new matter.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You're like, you know, what's one one better? The sleep
- 7:52Speaker 1: eight on top of the sleep number, that's a ten.
- 7:56Speaker 1: That's a ten. You just installed a new bed. You
- 8:00Speaker 1: didn't talk to her about it at all? No, I
- 8:01Speaker 1: did not install it. It's the autoimate cam's point. I
- 8:04Speaker 1: don't know if I installed a BDET. I don't think
- 8:06Speaker 1: it should be like we're fighting over it. But that's
- 8:10Speaker 1: we should call her, you know, Iday when she comes
- 8:13Speaker 1: on the podcast, we can talk about it. But I
- 8:14Speaker 1: did say to her that I got this new thing,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and she was excited about it, and then I just
- 8:19Speaker 1: did it. And I think the the she went to
- 8:21Speaker 1: bed and realized there was something new going on and
- 8:23Speaker 1: she was like, no, now I have to deal with
- 8:26Speaker 1: this new thing. What if I don't sleep well? Which
- 8:28Speaker 1: I totally get. So I'm the psychole. I'm gonna break
- 8:30Speaker 1: down a psychology of this with my my lack of degree. Uh.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I think for us and Joe, I want I want
- 8:37Speaker 1: you to wait on this too. Changes are not a
- 8:40Speaker 1: big deal because we've been moving to different beds like
- 8:44Speaker 1: on tour and different things our entire life basically, But
- 8:46Speaker 1: I can see how that would really upset Daniel. That
- 8:49Speaker 1: the she found her perfect number and she was like, no, no,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you're about to change it. She found, literally find her
- 8:55Speaker 1: perfect liquid number and she found it. It's negative three?
- 8:58Speaker 1: What is it? How does that? How does the numbering work?
- 9:01Speaker 1: I'll show you. Also, we could call her now and
- 9:04Speaker 1: we could pretend like you're not in the room and
- 9:05Speaker 1: be like, hey, I just want to clear something up.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Kem's out of the room. That means you you cannot
- 9:09Speaker 1: talk back, And we'd be like, did he mention that
- 9:11Speaker 1: he's gonna get the he can we call her up?
- 9:14Speaker 1: He's not gonna answer phone. What if she just answers
- 9:17Speaker 1: on a first wing? That will be so surprising. Hold on,
- 9:22Speaker 1: you're not here? Wow? Why is she not going to answer?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Your call has been forwarded to voicemail. She sent me
- 9:38Speaker 1: a voicemail trying to reach Oh, she sent you straight.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Call her. Then she'll definitely answer, because she'd be like, oh,
- 9:44Speaker 1: something's about Kevin. It's okay. Why not I literally have
- 9:49Speaker 1: to call one of my kids to get her to answer. Well,
- 9:53Speaker 1: let's call one of your kids. Call Ale. She'll answer, Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 1: I'm calling Elena Lena Jonas. There she is. I was like, hello,
- 10:03Speaker 1: what do you want the bed? Okay? No one in
- 10:07Speaker 1: your family answers the phone? This is this is a
- 10:11Speaker 1: this is your uncle calling Your call has be what
- 10:14Speaker 1: the who else is left? Balan? Do you have a phone?
- 10:18Speaker 1: I pad? Oh my gosh, I haven't. Yeah I have.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Can I call it? I can call an iPad right FaceTime?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Third Times of jarm someone loves me dinner time. It's
- 10:31Speaker 1: dinner time. That means their phones are nearby, for sure.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Nobody wants to answer all on their phone just hitting.
- 10:40Speaker 1: They're looking at it. They're like, is he calling you
- 10:42Speaker 1: to exactly? Why is he calling us that? That bad
- 10:46Speaker 1: form family? Well, all right, well we tried. We tried.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I tried it will go a mystery. Kevin steam rolled
- 10:54Speaker 1: and got a new bed. I did, congratulations, But it
- 10:59Speaker 1: is very cool and if I'll say, it's actually pretty awesome. No,
- 11:02Speaker 1: I'm excited to to get a free one. This is
- 11:06Speaker 1: number eight eight sleep eight sleep. Something else that I
- 11:09Speaker 1: did over the course of my trip was I went
- 11:12Speaker 1: to see The Odyssey. M How was it? It's remarkable? Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I mean it's it's no doubt in my mind. It's not.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I watched Inception to get to get get Nolan. Nolan. Ready. Yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: here's the thing is that I saw someone who said this,
- 11:29Speaker 1: So shout out to the creator who said this, and
- 11:31Speaker 1: I think it's a good way to put it, said
- 11:33Speaker 1: Christopher Nolan. Has turned cinema and the the idea of
- 11:37Speaker 1: cinema into an event that you must be a part of.
- 11:40Speaker 1: No longer just like it's a movie. It's like, no,
- 11:42Speaker 1: this is an event that you have to experience. I
- 11:44Speaker 1: love that. I actually understand that because I've yet to
- 11:46Speaker 1: see it, because I want to make sure I go
- 11:48Speaker 1: see it in like the proper imax format. And they
- 11:50Speaker 1: followed that up by saying and he turned a credit
- 11:53Speaker 1: into a promise, which I was like, damn, that is
- 11:56Speaker 1: so real and every like true artist. It's like, yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: it's a it's gonna be good. It's gonna be the
- 12:02Speaker 1: best thing you've seen. And the performances. Trying not to
- 12:05Speaker 1: get any spoilers, but things are happening on the internet. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it's yeah, the story, but I mean just visually, I
- 12:12Speaker 1: just want to yeah, totally see I'm not going to
- 12:15Speaker 1: see it now, just leave it. We're gonna leave it.
- 12:18Speaker 1: We're gonna leave it. This is where our son usually goes.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Do you think he'll win, Like, yes, whatever it is, hell,
- 12:25Speaker 1: but he'll win. Do you think that the main lead
- 12:28Speaker 1: actor will win best Matt Damon, Matt Damon. I don't know.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I haven't seen the other performances yet, but I think
- 12:33Speaker 1: that the thing about the Odyssey that's so incredible is
- 12:36Speaker 1: that it's it's you know, it's such an ambitious swing
- 12:41Speaker 1: to take to tell that story. It's been done a
- 12:43Speaker 1: few times, but the dude on the scale that only
- 12:46Speaker 1: Christopher only can do it with practical effects and all
- 12:48Speaker 1: these things. It's like you're just watching a person operate
- 12:51Speaker 1: at a different level. And I'm I'm, you know, we're
- 12:53Speaker 1: all massive fans of film and cinema on the whole thing.
- 12:55Speaker 1: He's just like doing the most the thing on a
- 12:59Speaker 1: different level. It's incredible to watch. And then you think
- 13:01Speaker 1: about the fact that there are just you'll see it
- 13:03Speaker 1: when you see it. There are lines that he's written
- 13:06Speaker 1: and the directing is incredible. But if I may just say,
- 13:10Speaker 1: the man's pen was on fire because he wrote it too,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and there's like there's levels of poetry and an excellence
- 13:19Speaker 1: in the way in which he articulates certain things that
- 13:21Speaker 1: I think are on par with some of the very
- 13:23Speaker 1: best scream writing that it's ever happened. That's incredible, And
- 13:26Speaker 1: I think maybe it has something to do with the
- 13:28Speaker 1: fact that he said this on Jimmy fallon the other night,
- 13:31Speaker 1: which was like, yeah, I don't. He said, you don't
- 13:33Speaker 1: have a phone or smartphone? He goes, No, I have
- 13:34Speaker 1: a flip phone. When I need it, someone has it.
- 13:37Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, but all those moments that I would
- 13:39Speaker 1: be on the phone, I would be addicted to it,
- 13:40Speaker 1: he said. He goes, I need to be in those
- 13:43Speaker 1: moments to be able to just look out the window
- 13:45Speaker 1: and think. I think he's leaving room for all of
- 13:48Speaker 1: that genius. Yeah, and I think that no phone's on
- 13:52Speaker 1: set rolled too. There was another thing I watched where
- 13:55Speaker 1: he was talking I don't know if he was talking about,
- 13:56Speaker 1: but some version of this someone was talking about with
- 14:00Speaker 1: him saying that basically he showed us on the script
- 14:02Speaker 1: and his songs like you know it's good, but keep going.
- 14:06Speaker 1: He's like, you know, I won the Oscar for you
- 14:08Speaker 1: know open. I'm like, but you didn't write. You didn't
- 14:10Speaker 1: win for a screenwriting. His son like lad the Gauntlet
- 14:12Speaker 1: was like, yeah, ed you may because for all of
- 14:13Speaker 1: you didn't wrote for the screen. So he went even
- 14:15Speaker 1: harder and wrote one of the best scripts I've ever seen.
- 14:18Speaker 1: There's a line about the Siren song Yeah that has
- 14:21Speaker 1: started to go viral on on everywhere, and it's it's
- 14:25Speaker 1: just incredible because it basically does tell me, no, I'm
- 14:28Speaker 1: not going to tell you a thing, but it's the
- 14:30Speaker 1: story of the Odyssey as a whole, as we all
- 14:33Speaker 1: know because we all read it. Sure is about like
- 14:38Speaker 1: this person testing God or the gods all at every
- 14:43Speaker 1: step of the way and like trying to will their
- 14:46Speaker 1: own thing to happen. And this film does an excellent
- 14:51Speaker 1: job of explaining that sometimes you have to just give
- 14:54Speaker 1: in and let the journey take you. We're supposed to
- 14:57Speaker 1: go love it, but also to never give up. It's
- 15:01Speaker 1: it's just really incredible. So part of that transitioning into
- 15:05Speaker 1: Tom Holland is having an insane summer because Holland big
- 15:09Speaker 1: and I'm honestly so excited as well to know see
- 15:11Speaker 1: the Oussey. But Spider Man wish we're gonna go see tonight.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I've got tickets. Yes, are we gonna do it. Yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 1: we got to go see it's an American classic starring a
- 15:18Speaker 1: British actor. All all my favorite American films star British actors.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Act just go back to the Odyssey. The coolest part
- 15:25Speaker 1: is they say, mom and Dad. There's none of this,
- 15:27Speaker 1: Like when did it become the thing that every international
- 15:30Speaker 1: accent is just British. That's not a thing. So it's
- 15:34Speaker 1: amazing you have all these British actors speaking, a lot
- 15:37Speaker 1: of American actors and others speaking in just American accents
- 15:40Speaker 1: and saying like modern terminology like mom, Dad, just talk
- 15:45Speaker 1: normally and it just takes you into a cool space.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But anyway, Tom Holland, dude to I love his uh
- 15:53Speaker 1: and a beer too. It's great. It's fantastic Tom here
- 15:56Speaker 1: and I did a movie together. But no one's really
- 15:59Speaker 1: seen it's a great film. I mean, I think a
- 16:01Speaker 1: lot of people saw it, but not as many as
- 16:03Speaker 1: nine hundred million that't are seeing Spider Man this weekend. Yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: what came out in code excuses excuses, But it was
- 16:10Speaker 1: a crazy cast. It's a stacked cast, like no one
- 16:14Speaker 1: knows about this movie. Yes, Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, Cynthia Arrivo,
- 16:19Speaker 1: Mats Michelson right, I mean it just goes. I'm chaos
- 16:23Speaker 1: Walking was a Doug Glimon direct fantastic film. You should
- 16:26Speaker 1: if you haven't seen it, go check it out. It's
- 16:27Speaker 1: a great film. Thank you for saying it's There's some
- 16:30Speaker 1: things that could have been different. It was an incredibly
- 16:33Speaker 1: enjoyable watch on an airplane film, Ambitious Swing. There's a
- 16:36Speaker 1: lot of good airplane movies. I watched Master of the Universe.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I really enjoyed it. I did watch it on a plane.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I think they made it even better. I enjoyed the movie.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That was very entertaining. I just watched it too. I
- 16:44Speaker 1: loved it. You you experience heightened emotions on airplanes, so
- 16:47Speaker 1: sometimes the movies you love on airplanes aren't as good
- 16:49Speaker 1: as they are. Well well, or they are, but they're
- 16:52Speaker 1: just not or finally you're opening to a new plane,
- 16:54Speaker 1: then you can actually enjoy that as a game. Top
- 16:56Speaker 1: three movies you've watched on a plane because they're not
- 17:01Speaker 1: great on their but just on the experience of watching
- 17:03Speaker 1: on a plane, like for the first time. No, just
- 17:05Speaker 1: in general, you enjoyed watching on a plane. I cried
- 17:08Speaker 1: again watching Interstellar on a plane because the loneliness of
- 17:13Speaker 1: him just being through space as we were on the
- 17:15Speaker 1: seventeen hour flight to Singapore together, and it was just
- 17:19Speaker 1: I was in it and I felt his pain being
- 17:21Speaker 1: away from the family, and I was just and you
- 17:23Speaker 1: cried baby like a little Casino Royale. Fantastic snakes on
- 17:28Speaker 1: a plane and great playing film. Actually I just watched
- 17:33Speaker 1: Obsession on the flight. Wow was it good? Wow. I've
- 17:38Speaker 1: been saving it for our next flight. You've not seen yours.
- 17:40Speaker 1: How many flights do you have you've been on. I'm
- 17:42Speaker 1: just on a plane, but I'm hoarding for our long flight.
- 17:45Speaker 1: It's not that long of a movie. It's a long
- 17:47Speaker 1: ass flight. You need to watch the movie right now.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I'm hoarding films for that long. I've already seen it twice.
- 17:53Speaker 1: It's it's incredible. It's like watch it's a brilliant movie.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I want to work with you too. I actually have
- 17:58Speaker 1: one which we have some data, some data coming in
- 18:03Speaker 1: which I just watched this on a plane and I agree.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Crazy Rotations is amazing on a plane, and not just
- 18:08Speaker 1: again just a category. People don't watch it like three times.
- 18:10Speaker 1: It's so good. It's great, not just because it's on
- 18:12Speaker 1: a plane, but just it's a great movie and it's
- 18:13Speaker 1: so enjoyable in that sense. The other one that I'll
- 18:16Speaker 1: say is a Notebook, because you don't have that sense
- 18:20Speaker 1: of longing and sadness when on a plane, maybe you've
- 18:23Speaker 1: had one or two drinks a glass of wine. You're like,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I just want to kind of be in my feels,
- 18:27Speaker 1: and the Notebook does that. I watched I've been watching binge,
- 18:31Speaker 1: watching the Americans so good, and this is flying back
- 18:35Speaker 1: to the States and my iPads in front of me
- 18:38Speaker 1: with with the Show Goes show on, and there was
- 18:41Speaker 1: a family with young children that just happened to be around.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And because you're on an airplane, well just specifically where
- 18:49Speaker 1: I was sitting, and you're used to having lots and
- 18:52Speaker 1: lots of space. Yeah, yeah, I was like, this is
- 18:55Speaker 1: so weird, just kidding or not. Okay, So I'm watching
- 19:00Speaker 1: it and it happens to be the first episode where
- 19:03Speaker 1: there's just full on nudity and lots of sex, and
- 19:07Speaker 1: I didn't didn't know what so I'm like, I'm not
- 19:10Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna watch it, but I don't want the
- 19:14Speaker 1: like that that's weird. You said, like that, I'm just
- 19:15Speaker 1: gonna watch it. Well, I'm not gonna skip it because
- 19:17Speaker 1: I would be wrong, that would be that would be
- 19:19Speaker 1: rude to the amazing actress, filmmakers, the filmmakers. So I'm
- 19:22Speaker 1: going to watch this nudity and I'm going to study
- 19:25Speaker 1: this sex scene. And then I like I angled the
- 19:28Speaker 1: monitor away because I'm like, there's a young kid. I
- 19:30Speaker 1: don't want him to I don'tant to the dad's like
- 19:31Speaker 1: this as like like like Joe Jones is the reason
- 19:35Speaker 1: I saw boobs. That's the dad or that's the kids both,
- 19:39Speaker 1: And so I, yeah, I do this polite like you know,
- 19:44Speaker 1: hide and then I just look like I'm watching something
- 19:47Speaker 1: I shouldn't be watching on a plane. And then I'm like,
- 19:50Speaker 1: is this guy watching like something he should not be
- 19:53Speaker 1: watching on a plane. And I'm like this and I'm
- 19:55Speaker 1: like close to my chest and I'm looking at the kid. Now.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It's just I feel so uncomfortable. And then I was like, oh,
- 20:01Speaker 1: we're safe. So I put the movie back off. I
- 20:03Speaker 1: put the TV show back on. This This show, this
- 20:06Speaker 1: episode was the one that had like three sex scenes.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So that was it was a journey. Yeah, it's a
- 20:11Speaker 1: journey for me and the kid. Well, educational for both. Okay,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I learned sometime it is awkward when that happens, and
- 20:21Speaker 1: it's no better when it's you know, when it's on
- 20:23Speaker 1: the acron everyone's watching it together exactly. Okay, so we
- 20:27Speaker 1: have a lot to cover. So much. We've covered the
- 20:30Speaker 1: sleep situation. We've covered and my fan doesn't answer the phone.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm still waiting for any sort of like response. Yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 1: there's no, there's not going to be. They don't use
- 20:39Speaker 1: their phones. The one thing we haven't cover, which we
- 20:41Speaker 1: should just address off the bat. We Joe and I
- 20:44Speaker 1: didn't plan this. We are wearing the same pants. What
- 20:47Speaker 1: happened a little yours? Yours is a shade darker, but
- 20:50Speaker 1: we Camo day. It's a Shane darker. But I'm I'm
- 20:55Speaker 1: with it. I think we should. Oh, let's listen to
- 20:58Speaker 1: this little fun audio guys, shall we? I mean, I
- 21:00Speaker 1: remember you saying like just a couple of days ago,
- 21:02Speaker 1: like you don't remember like almost anything. I have like
- 21:04Speaker 1: very big gaps in my memory, Like why do you
- 21:06Speaker 1: think that trauma? We don't think you're kidding. I've impacted
- 21:11Speaker 1: it with my therapists. There's like I think so much
- 21:13Speaker 1: was going on, and I wanted to, like I was
- 21:15Speaker 1: fighting against the machine for so bad, like being at
- 21:18Speaker 1: that age where I felt like I was older and
- 21:19Speaker 1: I should be like able to go do whatever I
- 21:21Speaker 1: want and be I would theoretically be in college. That
- 21:24Speaker 1: was my argument to my parents constantly, which was the machine,
- 21:27Speaker 1: No no, no. Like the Jonas Brothers everything, we talked
- 21:31Speaker 1: about getting our dentists on the pod, but I think
- 21:33Speaker 1: we should get our therapists on. We should get our
- 21:35Speaker 1: dentists and our therapists on the pod at the same time.
- 21:37Speaker 1: My dentist is my therapist, all right. My therapist is
- 21:41Speaker 1: a my dentist. It's a low hanging fruit there. I
- 21:43Speaker 1: just thought I'd go for it. I don't think it'd
- 21:45Speaker 1: be a bad idea. I also don't think that thankfully
- 21:49Speaker 1: my therapist would agree to do it, because you know,
- 21:52Speaker 1: I think they know too much. Too much. Yeah, we
- 21:55Speaker 1: can ask like a third party therapist we've never met,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and then if they give us advice, we don't like
- 22:00Speaker 1: me like, well, you're on my therapist. So this was
- 22:02Speaker 1: one of the things from this episode with with the
- 22:04Speaker 1: og band that kind of traveled a bit and people
- 22:06Speaker 1: were talking about it, and I do think that there
- 22:09Speaker 1: there were a few moments that were really candid in
- 22:11Speaker 1: that episode because we have such a long standing history
- 22:13Speaker 1: with Jack and Greg, John Taylor, and we definitely should
- 22:17Speaker 1: do a follow up because John Taylamo talk about way
- 22:20Speaker 1: more stories he wants to share, and I was glad
- 22:22Speaker 1: that that that one came out and to see the
- 22:24Speaker 1: response and to see that people believed it. It's all fake.
- 22:28Speaker 1: We were just pretending, no kidding, There was some real
- 22:32Speaker 1: talk in there. There was, for sure. Mental health was
- 22:34Speaker 1: was was kind of one of the hot topics. Hot
- 22:37Speaker 1: topic we talked about, you know that obviously, and Kevin
- 22:40Speaker 1: not having memories of those times, which I totally relate to.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Bils talked about the three D movie that I think
- 22:45Speaker 1: there was some misunderstanding about kind of what that was about.
- 22:51Speaker 1: It wasn't about the success of the film, but it
- 22:53Speaker 1: was about the importance that I think I placed and
- 22:57Speaker 1: we all placed on success as a whole totally, And
- 22:59Speaker 1: it wasn't about comparing to others that had basically nothing
- 23:02Speaker 1: to do with it, but about needing to grow and
- 23:05Speaker 1: understand that I needed to be okay with myself and
- 23:08Speaker 1: need to be able to look in the mirror and
- 23:09Speaker 1: just be okay as a person as opposed to comparing
- 23:12Speaker 1: to others, you know, placing success at the level that
- 23:18Speaker 1: I was of importance in my life and it was
- 23:22Speaker 1: really healing just to connect with a friend and kind
- 23:24Speaker 1: of work through that. But some people misunderstood. I think
- 23:28Speaker 1: what exactly that that was. That is also your experience, right,
- 23:31Speaker 1: It's like your emotion going through it, and so like, yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 1: it doesn't have to make sense. It doesn't have to
- 23:35Speaker 1: make sense. It was because it was tough, and you
- 23:38Speaker 1: put we all did, but like you said, put so
- 23:40Speaker 1: much pressure on ourselves to be excellent all the time,
- 23:43Speaker 1: to be the best and wanting it too, Like we
- 23:46Speaker 1: worked really hard at that age, like without any idea
- 23:49Speaker 1: of what it could do to us long term, without
- 23:51Speaker 1: taking breaks. I think that therapy is obviously very important
- 23:56Speaker 1: and I I've you know, grown a lot from it,
- 24:00Speaker 1: but I certainly could do a better job of keeping
- 24:03Speaker 1: it consistent. So I know that that You also have
- 24:06Speaker 1: spoken pretty openly about your journey with therapy and how
- 24:09Speaker 1: it would benefited you. You similar reason why I got
- 24:13Speaker 1: in I got into therapy. The reason I started doing
- 24:16Speaker 1: therapy was because of the first taste of like not
- 24:20Speaker 1: achieving success. And I use my quote fingers for those
- 24:25Speaker 1: who are listening, because I released a solo album when
- 24:29Speaker 1: I was about twenty one twenty two, and it didn't
- 24:32Speaker 1: do as well as I thought it would do because
- 24:33Speaker 1: everything the Jones Brothers touched back then it would be
- 24:36Speaker 1: like gold, like we would just it would be a
- 24:38Speaker 1: number one, number one thing and like sold out tour,
- 24:41Speaker 1: and I put something out by myself, and I think
- 24:43Speaker 1: I had a lot of high expectations of like success
- 24:45Speaker 1: without you guys, and like that was important to me
- 24:48Speaker 1: somewhere in my core. I was like, if I do that,
- 24:50Speaker 1: then I matter. So obviously there's like a through line
- 24:53Speaker 1: that's wrong there. And I like started having panic attacks
- 24:57Speaker 1: and like started having like physical pain, and I would
- 25:00Speaker 1: go to the doctor quite a bit and do like
- 25:03Speaker 1: full body checkups and blood work. And then eventually and
- 25:07Speaker 1: it was actually your doctor who was like, hey, I
- 25:11Speaker 1: again wanted to tell you that you're because I would
- 25:14Speaker 1: go on the weekend, but the only thing open, I
- 25:16Speaker 1: think what she was only the one available because it
- 25:18Speaker 1: was weekend for she's my endocnologist. My yeah, so but
- 25:21Speaker 1: she was kind enough to see me, and she was like,
- 25:23Speaker 1: look like you're you're physically fine, Like I can show
- 25:28Speaker 1: you the charts again for like the third time this month,
- 25:31Speaker 1: because this you're again in a garb, Like you're at
- 25:34Speaker 1: the hospital on Sunday, fun Day. That's what my buddy
- 25:37Speaker 1: Mike would say, because you're taking me to the hospital.
- 25:40Speaker 1: She's like, look, I think you should do you speak
- 25:45Speaker 1: to somebody? And I'm like, like, what do you mean,
- 25:48Speaker 1: like a therapist. I was like, I don't need a therapy.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Don't I need a therapist? What are you talking? We
- 25:53Speaker 1: don't do therap house And I just kind of like
- 25:58Speaker 1: was starting to put two and two together. I was like, well,
- 26:01Speaker 1: the only thing that made me feel better. I was
- 26:02Speaker 1: living in New York at the time, would literally be
- 26:04Speaker 1: taking us up my bike and going for like bike
- 26:08Speaker 1: rides all day long where I couldn't be on my
- 26:10Speaker 1: phone and I couldn't like scroll reading comments or seeing
- 26:17Speaker 1: what was going on with that album. And I think
- 26:21Speaker 1: just like being able to be outside and distract myself
- 26:24Speaker 1: but still running away from the problem. And I finally
- 26:28Speaker 1: spoke to somebody, and after like you know, crying through
- 26:31Speaker 1: the first question for an hour, I realized how great
- 26:34Speaker 1: it was and yeah, I definitely can be better at consistency,
- 26:39Speaker 1: but it definitely like so, it was so helpful during
- 26:43Speaker 1: that season and it has been throughout my life for
- 26:45Speaker 1: other major life things that have gone I've gone through
- 26:48Speaker 1: to just speak to somebody that's a professional. Because friends
- 26:52Speaker 1: are great, family is great, but there's definitely an importance
- 26:55Speaker 1: of like a sounding board of somebody that you can
- 26:58Speaker 1: speak to that's just like we'll ask questions in a
- 27:02Speaker 1: completely different setting. And also there's not like a personal ultimatum,
- 27:06Speaker 1: because I think when you talk to a friend or
- 27:08Speaker 1: family sometimes they're thinking about themselves and that's just a
- 27:12Speaker 1: normal selfish thing that we all human beings do. But
- 27:15Speaker 1: you talk to professionally are like, oh okay, Like I
- 27:17Speaker 1: didn't think of it like that, So that was great
- 27:20Speaker 1: for me. Yeah, and they've heard it all. Yeah, you
- 27:23Speaker 1: think the worst things that you have in your mind.
- 27:25Speaker 1: They probably either hurt that already or are they They're
- 27:28Speaker 1: like not yet, that's nothing. They say it to their therapist.
- 27:30Speaker 1: That's what I say. Yeah, who's yours therapist? Let's have
- 27:35Speaker 1: a therapist party on the pod. We should have a
- 27:37Speaker 1: therapist come on and just I don't know, could we
- 27:39Speaker 1: could really dissect each other live on air as this
- 27:42Speaker 1: perfect segue. Our guest today is the one and only Therapists.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Please welcome Jake Shane. Hey, Jake, I'm kidding. He's not
- 27:49Speaker 1: here today, but he will be someday. He will be
- 27:51Speaker 1: and we can't wait till he can be a therapist. Okay,
- 27:54Speaker 1: let's get into it, guys. We've got stuff to do,
- 27:56Speaker 1: places to be, people to sing too. Ah, name the
- 28:05Speaker 1: sound Zelda, Pokemon, Pokemon. Oh and Kevin Jonas you were
- 28:11Speaker 1: just hosting Live with Kelly and Mark Ye Kelly, Kevin
- 28:16Speaker 1: and Mark. Kevin and Mark. Kelly had a surgery. She
- 28:19Speaker 1: had gum. She had some gum surgery, so they had
- 28:21Speaker 1: to graft skin and put it pretty. I know, I was.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I watched, he watched the surgery, watched Kelly. Yes, that's
- 28:30Speaker 1: my dream job, to be a surgeon. No, actually to
- 28:33Speaker 1: get the job one day, to take it, to take
- 28:37Speaker 1: it from Kelly now more Mark, whoever, just you would
- 28:41Speaker 1: like to be a morning our talk show host that
- 28:45Speaker 1: show host that just specifically that always loved that show
- 28:48Speaker 1: back in the day with Regis doing the thing, and
- 28:50Speaker 1: of course it was I got the chance later to
- 28:53Speaker 1: co host with Kelly a couple of times, which was traumatic. Actually,
- 28:59Speaker 1: I had a really bad experience doing an interview and
- 29:01Speaker 1: I learned a lot. So I asked a question that
- 29:03Speaker 1: the guests did not like that asked and which, by
- 29:06Speaker 1: the way, has happened to us on this podcast. We
- 29:07Speaker 1: can tell sometimes when we ask a question that maybe
- 29:09Speaker 1: like they weren't expecting to be asked, or they don't
- 29:12Speaker 1: they have a deal with it, so it can happen
- 29:14Speaker 1: when it was a follow up to the conversation. So
- 29:16Speaker 1: I was thought it was natural, but it was sorry experience.
- 29:18Speaker 1: What questions have we asked that no one liked? All
- 29:20Speaker 1: the ones that are on this this list they asked
- 29:23Speaker 1: us to ask people. I was like, I was like,
- 29:26Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure everyone's been. I think the success rates
- 29:29Speaker 1: pretty high. It's just when it's like ask only time,
- 29:32Speaker 1: I think anyone's ever like, uh, it's just getting to
- 29:35Speaker 1: understand the bowl game. I think with some people like
- 29:38Speaker 1: we asked the bowl game questions, I think it's so random.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Sometimes people like h oh, like ones like I was like,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I don't ever read that. I was like, you did,
- 29:50Speaker 1: but there's two now, yeah, shout out to you'll see it.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It's in the next week's episode. She was great and
- 29:58Speaker 1: by the way, I had a very like a fantastic
- 30:00Speaker 1: answer for it. Yeah, the correct answer, as you said,
- 30:04Speaker 1: but it's correct. But it was really traumatic for me,
- 30:08Speaker 1: to be honest, I never thought i'd be invited back,
- 30:10Speaker 1: and so to be able to be going back and
- 30:11Speaker 1: actually the host for two days, and it probably happens
- 30:14Speaker 1: like all the time, or they're just like hey, by
- 30:17Speaker 1: the way, they just a reminder that that we don't.
- 30:19Speaker 1: It's traumatic and I never thought i'd be invited back,
- 30:21Speaker 1: but I was. And that's my dream job. The one day, well,
- 30:24Speaker 1: I hope that it becomes Trumans or the schedules on Monday, Tuesday,
- 30:28Speaker 1: Wednesday only. Let's talk the weekend warrior shows. Let's talk
- 30:31Speaker 1: though about one thing. Kevork markn Suelos, a very dear
- 30:35Speaker 1: friend of ours. Handsome man, handsome man, looking fantastic always
- 30:40Speaker 1: though he's always looked fantastic. He's always looked fantastic. And
- 30:42Speaker 1: what his regiment was, that's just going to say, do
- 30:44Speaker 1: you get into it with him? I did. We talked
- 30:45Speaker 1: about it. You talk, so he worked, He talked to me.
- 30:49Speaker 1: He will lists four days a week. We talk supplements.
- 30:51Speaker 1: He's not on a big stack on peptide stuff, like
- 30:54Speaker 1: he's definitely like more of a clean straight Sure he
- 30:56Speaker 1: loves what you're talking about on the pod. Yeah, exactly. No,
- 30:58Speaker 1: I'm not actually sure his stack. We didn't get into that.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I wack his stack. What I live? What's he lifting?
- 31:04Speaker 1: I didn't get to wait level. I kind of teed
- 31:07Speaker 1: it up. I was like, oh on Monday, I was like, oh,
- 31:09Speaker 1: do you work out before because we were talking at
- 31:11Speaker 1: him like does that help you like get your mind going,
- 31:13Speaker 1: like I would want to work out before the show
- 31:14Speaker 1: like that. It would probably wh three am? No, like seven,
- 31:18Speaker 1: he shows up about eight Okay, yeah, so like work out,
- 31:21Speaker 1: go there, shower, go to and go on show, go
- 31:23Speaker 1: to the show. To your point, I do the same
- 31:25Speaker 1: I would do the same thing. Yeah yeah. He's like
- 31:27Speaker 1: no immediately after, and I was like, oh that sounds great. Yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I haven't worked out today, like trying to tee it up, like, yo, bro,
- 31:32Speaker 1: i'd come with you. That's crazy. I'm actually staying up
- 31:35Speaker 1: this area. And that's what I said. I was like,
- 31:36Speaker 1: I'm staying in today like Dan, Danny's coming in later.
- 31:39Speaker 1: You know, I'm just gonna probably go back to the
- 31:40Speaker 1: hotels like that. He's like cool, and then just out
- 31:43Speaker 1: the door. I was like, well, I didn't get the invite.
- 31:45Speaker 1: You wants to he wants some work on his dude,
- 31:46Speaker 1: I get it. Yeah, to work out with his friends.
- 31:51Speaker 1: I did make that joke while on air. They're like,
- 31:53Speaker 1: I have this cigar room. I go, yeah, Nick and
- 31:55Speaker 1: Joe have seen it. I have not. He's like, you've
- 31:57Speaker 1: got to come. I have not. I have not seen it.
- 31:59Speaker 1: So you you're not alone. I thought you've been to
- 32:01Speaker 1: the cigar room on the top of his apartment. Yes,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you have. You told me stories about it. I have
