- 1:09Speaker 2: thing since Nita's Baked Goods. For years, We've done many
- 1:14Speaker 2: of our Bengals radio shows at local sports bars and restaurants,
- 1:17Speaker 2: and we have quite a few fans who rarely miss
- 1:20Speaker 2: a show, including a lovely woman named Nita. The weight
- 1:24Speaker 2: I've gained during my years as a Bengals broadcaster can
- 1:27Speaker 2: be traced to her baked goods. Nita always brings brownies, cakes,
- 1:34Speaker 2: cookies and other tasty treats for me, Dave Lapham, our engineer,
- 1:38Speaker 2: Mike Mills, and whatever Bengals player joins us on the show.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I think she distributes more cookies than the Girl Scouts.
- 1:46Speaker 2: We did our final on location show this week with
- 1:49Speaker 2: Mike Kasiki as a guest, and Nita added pumpkin and
- 1:53Speaker 2: pecan pies for the holidays. We truly appreciate all of
- 1:57Speaker 2: the fans who come out to our shows. I have
- 2:00Speaker 2: to give a special shout out to Nita, the official
- 2:03Speaker 2: baker of the Bengals Radio Network. Now let's get to
- 2:07Speaker 2: my first guest. It is always a highlight of the
- 2:11Speaker 2: season to visit with the great Greg Cosel from NFL
- 2:15Speaker 2: Films and the ESPN Matchup Show. Greg, Let's start with
- 2:19Speaker 2: Jamar Chase, who's having a phenomenal season. When you watch
- 2:22Speaker 2: him play this year and the way the Bengals are
- 2:25Speaker 2: using him, what stands out to you.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Well, I think a number of things. I think he
- 2:31Speaker 3: lines up in multiple locations within the formation, and I
- 2:34Speaker 3: always think that's really important for a receiver, particularly when
- 2:37Speaker 3: you get the third downs, because obviously defenses are looking
- 2:41Speaker 3: at times bracket double whatever they choose to do. And
- 2:45Speaker 3: because te Higgins hasn't played all season, that would be
- 2:47Speaker 3: often the case this year that I would notice on film.
- 2:50Speaker 3: So you want to move him around, you want to
- 2:52Speaker 3: use motion. They're not one of the top four or
- 2:55Speaker 3: five motion teams in the league, but they're selective with
- 2:57Speaker 3: it and they do a really nice job with it
- 2:59Speaker 3: to create opportunities for Chase, not only with his motion
- 3:03Speaker 3: but with motion by other players that dictate how the
- 3:06Speaker 3: defense has to react and presents Chase if its zone,
- 3:10Speaker 3: in particular, with opportunities. Obviously, if it's man, he can
- 3:13Speaker 3: beat man. I mean, I just remember a play from
- 3:16Speaker 3: this week, obviously because I just watched the tape from
- 3:18Speaker 3: this week, but the twenty nine yarder early in the
- 3:21Speaker 3: game when they I think it was Herbert not Brown
- 3:24Speaker 3: in the backfield and Herbert went in motion to make
- 3:26Speaker 3: it a four strong look and it just created a
- 3:29Speaker 3: one on one for Chase on the back side. And
- 3:32Speaker 3: it was just a slant, but it's Chase, so you
- 3:35Speaker 3: know you set that up, it's one on one. He's
- 3:37Speaker 3: phenomenal on after cat things like that. But overall, I'd
- 3:41Speaker 3: say this, there may be no better quarterback receiver duo
- 3:45Speaker 3: in the league. Working outside the numbers. They just kill
- 3:49Speaker 3: you outside the numbers, and no matter what the coverage is,
- 3:53Speaker 3: it becomes man to man outside the numbers, and that's
- 3:56Speaker 3: where they are so effective. And you know Dan from
- 4:00Speaker 3: so you know from doing the games that when Joe
- 4:02Speaker 3: Burrows sees one on one outside the numbers, he's throwing
- 4:05Speaker 3: the football.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And throwing it exactly where he wants to throw it.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Let's talk about the year that Joe is having. Leads
- 4:11Speaker 2: the NFL in yards by more than two hundred, he
- 4:13Speaker 2: leads the NFL in touchdown passes. Greg how has he
- 4:17Speaker 2: evolved from the guy you liked so much coming out
- 4:20Speaker 2: of LSU.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I'll tell you what really stands out. Look, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 3: we can talk about him forever obviously, and he has
- 4:26Speaker 3: traits with you and I have spoken about, you know,
- 4:29Speaker 3: both at the combine and when I've spoken to you
- 4:31Speaker 3: doing podcasts. But I think the thing that really stands
- 4:34Speaker 3: out to me is how comfortable a player he is
- 4:38Speaker 3: when he moves, you know, because no one said he
- 4:41Speaker 3: was a statue when he came out, but you didn't
- 4:43Speaker 3: think of him as a guy that was going to
- 4:44Speaker 3: move around. Now, unfortunately, because of the nature of the
- 4:47Speaker 3: old line through the years, he's probably had to move
- 4:50Speaker 3: more than he's wanted to. But he's so comfortable when
- 4:53Speaker 3: he moves, and there's chaos all around him, and he
- 4:57Speaker 3: never seems hurry. He never seems for Netik. He always
- 5:00Speaker 3: seems controlled and calculated. He has a tremendous knack for
- 5:04Speaker 3: them sort of resetting his throwing platform and delivering the football.
- 5:08Speaker 3: He's done that this year. I don't chart it, but
- 5:11Speaker 3: it seems to me he's done it this year more
- 5:12Speaker 3: than he ever has. You may you know, you obviously
- 5:14Speaker 3: see every play every week and you're you're closer to
- 5:17Speaker 3: the team than I am. But it just seems to
- 5:19Speaker 3: me as if he's done that more than ever and
- 5:21Speaker 3: he's just so good at it, and it looks easy.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I mean, it looks like it's effortless almost the way
- 5:28Speaker 3: he moves to find a quieter spot to deliver the football.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Let's move to Chase Brown. He's got six straight games
- 5:35Speaker 2: now with ninety or more scrimmage yards. What has he
- 5:38Speaker 2: added to this offense?
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he fits really well in what they
- 5:43Speaker 3: are because essentially they want to run the ball. They're
- 5:45Speaker 3: not just you know, drop back and throw it. But
- 5:48Speaker 3: I think he fits in the sense that he's a determined, urgent,
- 5:52Speaker 3: decisive downhill runner Dan. I mean, he's got burst, he's
- 5:55Speaker 3: got velocity, there's a physical presence to him. He finishes runs,
- 5:59Speaker 3: but he can generate some explosive runs because he does
- 6:02Speaker 3: have that speed if memory serves me correctly. Not that
- 6:06Speaker 3: this is the way you judge backs, but I think
- 6:07Speaker 3: he was in the four to four range when he
- 6:09Speaker 3: came out of Illinois, So you know he's not he's
- 6:12Speaker 3: not a plotter, and you know he's sort of grown
- 6:16Speaker 3: into being the feature back. He's got good size. They
- 6:19Speaker 3: pretty much stay downhill with him because that's what he
- 6:22Speaker 3: does best. And and by the way, I don't think
- 6:25Speaker 3: their old line is overly athletics, so I think it
- 6:27Speaker 3: makes sense to have that kind of run game where
- 6:30Speaker 3: you you just have them fire off the ball instead
- 6:32Speaker 3: of trying to get outside. But you know, I think
- 6:36Speaker 3: he's He's just a good player and in the context
- 6:39Speaker 3: of this offense, and obviously Burrow and Chase will be there.
- 6:42Speaker 3: You know, I doubt Chase they're gonna let him walk.
- 6:44Speaker 3: We'll see what happens, but I would doubt that very much.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And we'll see what happens with the other receiver situation
- 6:50Speaker 3: with Higgins. But they're going to be a really good
- 6:53Speaker 3: passing team as long as Burrow and Chas are there,
- 6:55Speaker 3: and I think Brown fits that really well.
- 6:58Speaker 2: We are chatting with a great Greg co Cell. We
- 7:00Speaker 2: saw each other at the combine and discussed the Marius
- 7:02Speaker 2: Mims before the Bengals selected him. How is he doing
- 7:06Speaker 2: as a rookie in your opinion?
- 7:08Speaker 3: I think through a good part of the season he
- 7:10Speaker 3: was very inconsistent, And by inconsistent, I know that's a
- 7:12Speaker 3: word that's cliched, but where he'd have some good snaps
- 7:15Speaker 3: and some poor snaps. But I've noticed I think over
- 7:18Speaker 3: the last couple of weeks. This week I noticed it
- 7:21Speaker 3: in particular, and he played against some pretty good players
- 7:23Speaker 3: in Key and Landry. These are not poor players on Tennessee.
- 7:27Speaker 3: People might think, oh, Tennessee's a bad team, but those
- 7:29Speaker 3: are not poor players. I think he's getting better. I
- 7:32Speaker 3: think he's playing with better balance. I think he's playing
- 7:34Speaker 3: with better body control. I think his feet are under
- 7:37Speaker 3: him more. I don't know if that's just coaching. I
- 7:40Speaker 3: don't know if that's experience, but I think he's over
- 7:43Speaker 3: the last couple of weeks, has looked like a better player,
- 7:47Speaker 3: like the kind of player I think a lot of
- 7:48Speaker 3: people thought he could be, because there are a lot
- 7:51Speaker 3: of people, as you well know, that knew that he
- 7:53Speaker 3: needed experience and coaching and time, but thought that he
- 7:57Speaker 3: potentially could be the best tackle in the draft. And
- 8:00Speaker 3: I'm not going to sit here and say that's what
- 8:01Speaker 3: he is because I don't think the tape shows that
- 8:03Speaker 3: yet necessarily.
- 8:05Speaker 1: But I think he's improved over time.
- 8:07Speaker 2: The Bengals have a couple of guys that I thought
- 8:09Speaker 2: were playing extremely well before they suffered season ending injuries,
- 8:13Speaker 2: Dax Hill making the switch to outside corner and rookie
- 8:17Speaker 2: tight end Eric Al.
- 8:18Speaker 1: What did you think of those two?
- 8:20Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I remember we talked about Dax Hill and
- 8:24Speaker 3: you had mentioned to me at the combine that you
- 8:25Speaker 3: thought they would make that move, and I thought he
- 8:28Speaker 3: played well. And he's got the size, he's got the speed,
- 8:31Speaker 3: he's got the movement, you know, and obviously at corner
- 8:35Speaker 3: it's different. You don't have to be someone who dissects
- 8:38Speaker 3: the way you do it safety and I think that
- 8:40Speaker 3: as you and I discussed, you know, the coaching staff
- 8:42Speaker 3: felt that his strength wasn't dissecting things in front of him.
- 8:45Speaker 3: So at corner you don't have to do that. You
- 8:47Speaker 3: can just play to your athletic traits. And he's a
- 8:49Speaker 3: high level athlete. I mean, you saw that when I
- 8:52Speaker 3: did him coming out of Michigan. You could just see
- 8:54Speaker 3: how athletic he is. And he's got good size. So
- 8:57Speaker 3: that's a loss. All is a really intriguing guy, and
- 9:02Speaker 3: it's a shame because he's another guy that has really
- 9:06Speaker 3: good athletic traits. I think he's a three level dimension.
- 9:09Speaker 3: In the past game, he can run the seam, he
- 9:11Speaker 3: can run those you know, some vertical routes, intermediate routes.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I'm real anxious to see where his career goes. You know,
- 9:17Speaker 3: he'll be there next year obviously, you know, so many
- 9:20Speaker 3: of these tight ends in college, as you know, they
- 9:22Speaker 3: don't catch a lot of balls. I mean, I remember
- 9:24Speaker 3: George Kittle, I think caught twenty one and twenty two
- 9:27Speaker 3: balls in his last two years at Iowa, and he's
- 9:29Speaker 3: turned out to be okay in the NFL. So and
- 9:31Speaker 3: obviously Eric All played at Iowa in his last year
- 9:34Speaker 3: after transferring, So you know, so a lot of these
- 9:39Speaker 3: tight ends don't necessarily have big numbers coming out of college.
- 9:43Speaker 3: But I think he has a chance to be you know,
- 9:46Speaker 3: I don't want to sit here and say volume receivers
- 9:48Speaker 3: if next year he's going to catch ninety balls, but
- 9:50Speaker 3: I think that he's He's a really good prospect who
- 9:53Speaker 3: has a chance to be a good player.
- 9:55Speaker 2: What do you consider to be some of the biggest
- 9:58Speaker 2: issues they've had on defense this year?
- 10:00Speaker 3: I think two things stand out to me. Lack of
- 10:03Speaker 3: pass rush, lack of consistent pass rush. I mean, Henderson's
- 10:06Speaker 3: a really good player, but they don't really get a
- 10:09Speaker 3: ton of pressure on the quarterback they have an all season,
- 10:12Speaker 3: and that changes everything about your defense. If you can't
- 10:15Speaker 3: pressure the quarterback, it's hard to play defense in this league.
- 10:19Speaker 3: And I think the corner position has been up and down,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and so those two things, you know, there's probably no
- 10:25Speaker 3: two worse combinations than that right there. Inability to pressure
- 10:29Speaker 3: the quarterback and kind of inconsistent corner play. And you know,
- 10:34Speaker 3: we know Taylor Britt was binged and then played. We
- 10:36Speaker 3: know that Turner's out, you know, been hurt. They're having
- 10:39Speaker 3: to play Newton, who I'm sure before the season as
- 10:42Speaker 3: a rookie they didn't expect him to be playing meaningful snaps.
- 10:46Speaker 3: You know, look, he only played in dining this week.
- 10:49Speaker 3: But all of a sudden, Marco Wilson's out there. You know,
- 10:51Speaker 3: I didn't even realize they signed him, you know, So
- 10:54Speaker 3: you know, it's you start reaching the bottom of the barrel,
- 10:57Speaker 3: and it's it's just been hard.
- 10:59Speaker 1: If you can't run the.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Quarterback with any kind of meaningful pressure and your corner
- 11:04Speaker 3: play is not what you really need it to be,
- 11:06Speaker 3: your defense is going to suffer.
- 11:09Speaker 2: The Browns are coming to town this week. They are
- 11:11Speaker 2: going with Dorian Thompson Robinson at quarterback instead of Jamis Winston.
- 11:16Speaker 2: What are going to be some of the case for
- 11:17Speaker 2: Cincinnati to complete a regular season sweep of the Browns, Well,
- 11:22Speaker 2: he's a quarterback.
- 11:23Speaker 3: That you have to make sure you keep him in
- 11:24Speaker 3: the pocket. And they know this. This is not a
- 11:26Speaker 3: profound statement. You know, he's a guy at this point
- 11:29Speaker 3: in his career that's not going to see it really well.
- 11:32Speaker 3: And so when he doesn't see it well, he's going
- 11:34Speaker 3: to look to run. And he's very very athletic and
- 11:36Speaker 3: he can do that. So however you choose to do it,
- 11:39Speaker 3: there's multiple ways in which you can attempt to keep
- 11:42Speaker 3: a quarterback in the pocket. Maybe they'll use a spy.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Certainly Davis Gather who's now basically a full time player
- 11:48Speaker 3: since Wilson's out for the year.
- 11:50Speaker 1: He's a very athletic kid. They could use him as
- 11:52Speaker 1: a spy.
- 11:53Speaker 3: They could, you know, try to create that mush rush
- 11:55Speaker 3: that everybody talks about. There's multiple ways to do it,
- 11:58Speaker 3: but you can't let him be you with his legs.
- 12:01Speaker 3: You must make him sit in the pocket, read it
- 12:04Speaker 3: out and deliver the football.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Greg, this is always a treat for me. I really
- 12:08Speaker 2: appreciate your time. Happy holidays and thanks for joining us.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Oh thanks Dan, It's always a pleasure.
- 12:15Speaker 2: As Greg mentioned when I asked him about the Bengals defense,
- 12:18Speaker 2: the play of the cornerbacks has been up and down
- 12:20Speaker 2: this year, and that's certainly true of Cam Taylor Britt,
- 12:23Speaker 2: who is expected to be one of the bengals best
- 12:25Speaker 2: defensive players going into the season. The good news is
- 12:29Speaker 2: that his play is trending up and I discuss that
- 12:33Speaker 2: and more with the Bengals twenty five year old corner.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Cam.
- 12:37Speaker 2: You've got two interceptions in the last three games, including
- 12:40Speaker 2: the pick six in the Pittsburgh game. You've given up
- 12:43Speaker 2: twenty six or fewer receiving yards in all three of
- 12:47Speaker 2: those games. How has this stretch impacted how you feel
- 12:50Speaker 2: about your season?
- 12:52Speaker 4: And honestly, it's just giving my confidence back.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Honestly, when it all comes down to it, I believe
- 12:58Speaker 5: you know, everybody saw the I would say downfall of
- 13:02Speaker 5: the stretch in the beginning of the season, and.
- 13:04Speaker 4: They were by my side, you know, everybody in the building.
- 13:07Speaker 5: You know, it was kind of pushed me to you know,
- 13:09Speaker 5: just you know, just home back in, you know, with
- 13:10Speaker 5: yourself and your craft, and you know, just don't think
- 13:13Speaker 5: too big on a lot of things, you know, And uh,
- 13:15Speaker 5: I believe in this position, uh you confidence is your
- 13:18Speaker 5: biggest thing, you know, and when you don't have that,
- 13:20Speaker 5: and when you don't believe in yourself. I believe that's
- 13:23Speaker 5: when you you know, you see things different and not
- 13:26Speaker 5: like you did before. You know, so I really, you know,
- 13:28Speaker 5: I just found that that happiness back on the field again.
- 13:31Speaker 5: You know, uh, you know, just doing my job to
- 13:33Speaker 5: the best of my ability. You know, just make sure
- 13:35Speaker 5: it's not no nothing bad for the team.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I think a lot of us would have said there's
- 13:42Speaker 2: a geese and chance he goes to the Pro Bowl
- 13:44Speaker 2: this year. Prior to this season. From a technical standpoint,
- 13:48Speaker 2: what went wrong in your play I think.
- 13:50Speaker 4: I was just you know, wanted to play plays. You know.
- 13:53Speaker 5: I feel like, yes, I watched enough film, but I
- 13:56Speaker 5: was in the backfield. Doesn't the quarterback's not thrown to
- 13:58Speaker 5: you at the end of the day. You may know
- 14:00Speaker 5: where the spot may be and everything, but they don't
- 14:02Speaker 5: have to run that route.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Yes, his concepts and.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Everything, but yeah, you're playing against players, you know now
- 14:08Speaker 5: late in the season, not the playbook.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We're chatting with Cam Taylor Brett. I asked cornerbacks coach
- 14:14Speaker 2: Chuck Burks about you recently. Here's what he said, quote,
- 14:18Speaker 2: I don't have a lack of faith or a lack
- 14:20Speaker 2: of confidence in Cam I know he wants to be great.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I know it's important to him, and I know the
- 14:25Speaker 2: team is important to him. At any point, did you
- 14:29Speaker 2: wonder if coaches or teammates were starting to lose a
- 14:33Speaker 2: little faith?
- 14:34Speaker 5: Not a bit, Honestly, I got calls, texts from everyone
- 14:39Speaker 5: in the building just telling me, you know that everything
- 14:42Speaker 5: was gonna be fine. You know, like I said, home,
- 14:44Speaker 5: back in with yourself and then fire your piece, you
- 14:47Speaker 5: know again, go back to your why. Troy Henderson we
- 14:50Speaker 5: had a great conversation and he was basically just telling me,
- 14:54Speaker 5: you know, at the end of the day, man, but
- 14:56Speaker 5: with your highs and your lows, you have to be
- 14:58Speaker 5: the same.
- 14:58Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 14:59Speaker 5: You can't let your eyes you know, you get the
- 15:01Speaker 5: big head and everything about you know last year or
- 15:04Speaker 5: you know, the things that you've done before, because you know,
- 15:06Speaker 5: you still got to go out and do it every day.
- 15:09Speaker 2: And Monday, we saw Dax Hill walk through the locker room,
- 15:11Speaker 2: first time we've seen him since he had his ACL surgery.
- 15:14Speaker 2: He seemed to be in great spirits. He even joked
- 15:17Speaker 2: about trying to practice this week. What did he show
- 15:20Speaker 2: you in the five games he played this year at
- 15:22Speaker 2: your position?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Outside corner man.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Honestly, the versatility that he has and then and what
- 15:28Speaker 5: he could do transferring basically over to corner.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Is not easy.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Uh well, I think I'm fifth year now playing corner,
- 15:39Speaker 5: sixth year a belizo man. He did it in a
- 15:42Speaker 5: couple of months, you know, And it's not easy, Like
- 15:46Speaker 5: I said, to be on that island, you're not You're
- 15:48Speaker 5: not in the back of the defense, you know, seeing
- 15:50Speaker 5: everything you know from afar, you up close and personal.
- 15:53Speaker 5: And and I really you know, he head on to
- 15:55Speaker 5: that that spot, you know, uh and did it well.
- 15:58Speaker 4: You know, I feel like tough lays. You know, he
- 16:00Speaker 4: he know he wants back.
- 16:02Speaker 5: He could have picked the ball a couple of times,
- 16:04Speaker 5: but man, I know he's gonna get those back.
- 16:06Speaker 2: The other starting outside corner on the opposite side of
- 16:09Speaker 2: you now is rookie Josh fig Newton. What advice do
- 16:13Speaker 2: you have for Josh as he gets this opportunity at
- 16:16Speaker 2: this stage of his career.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Had opportunity is everything, and it's all about what you
- 16:20Speaker 4: do with it.
- 16:22Speaker 5: I was benched before you know, the season, as everyone knows,
- 16:24Speaker 5: and uh, I didn't. I didn't use my opportunity to
- 16:27Speaker 5: the best of my ability, and I didn't put my
- 16:30Speaker 5: best for forward and it showed and I had to
- 16:34Speaker 5: sit and be a great teammate. And I believe you know,
- 16:36Speaker 5: with him seeing that, you know, uh is anybody can
- 16:40Speaker 5: you know be you know, put on the bench. It
- 16:42Speaker 5: doesn't matter what year you are in or anything. You know,
- 16:45Speaker 5: you can't have the big head. Always stay the same,
- 16:47Speaker 5: Just stay green, you know, no matter what year you're
- 16:50Speaker 5: in or you know, always you know, just taking notes,
- 16:53Speaker 5: you know, always even though you know the events, still
- 16:55Speaker 5: say notes.
- 16:56Speaker 4: You know, something like that.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You've had three years now practice regularly against Jamar Chase.
- 17:03Speaker 2: He leads the NFL and catches yards and touchdowns. How
- 17:05Speaker 2: would you describe the season he's having.
- 17:08Speaker 4: That's a historical season for him.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Man, I'm glad I can see it up close and
- 17:13Speaker 5: personal every weekend. We talked about that in the dB
- 17:16Speaker 5: room and uh, you know just how he uh he
- 17:19Speaker 5: kind of breaks down, you know DB's throughout the whole
- 17:22Speaker 5: game and you can see their confidence, you know, just
- 17:23Speaker 5: try to It's kind of wears a way throughout the
- 17:26Speaker 5: first quarter and then second then you see halftime after
- 17:29Speaker 5: that is like they don't even want to play anymore.
- 17:31Speaker 5: And uh, he goes and breaks the fifth yard, you know, touchdown.
- 17:35Speaker 5: But you know, just seeing things like that, you know,
- 17:37Speaker 5: I'm glad I get to be right there because it's
- 17:40Speaker 5: something great to see.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Do you ever feel sorry for a dB on another
- 17:44Speaker 2: team that has to cover?
- 17:45Speaker 4: Yeah, most definitely.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I watched him and Tea all the time when
- 17:51Speaker 5: there on the field. I don't really, yeah, I don't. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 5: I watched most of the guys, you know, the receivers.
- 17:56Speaker 5: I want to see the matchups and everything. See how
- 17:59Speaker 5: they are they're playing against him. Uh, you know they're
- 18:01Speaker 5: gonna put hands on him or if they did it,
- 18:03Speaker 5: you know, how did he catch his ball? But uh,
- 18:06Speaker 5: most definitely, Uh see DB's you know, start the wave
- 18:10Speaker 5: it off, you know, I throw out through the white flat.
- 18:13Speaker 2: He faced the Browns this week. They've got a great corner,
- 18:16Speaker 2: Denzel Ward. What do you think of Denzel?
- 18:18Speaker 5: He's a great corner, like you just said, Man, he's
- 18:21Speaker 5: proven that since he's been in this league. Uh, and
- 18:25Speaker 5: that's really what I can say about him. You know,
- 18:27Speaker 5: his instincts is great. He's he's played against us will
- 18:30Speaker 5: you know throughout the years as I've been here, and
- 18:33Speaker 5: it's uphill you know, Uh, I think jamr Anti, Yeah,
- 18:37Speaker 5: both of those.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Guys, you know, uh, and critical moments in the games.
- 18:41Speaker 6: You know.
- 18:41Speaker 5: So it's gonna be gonna be great matchups. You know,
- 18:43Speaker 5: I look forward to it, you know, but I feel
- 18:45Speaker 5: like we got.
- 18:45Speaker 2: To The Browns announced this week they're switching quarterbacks. Jameis
- 18:49Speaker 2: Winston is gonna come off the bench, story and Thompson
- 18:51Speaker 2: Robinson will start. I imagine in your mind you've been
- 18:54Speaker 2: gearing up for the likelihood that you're gonna face Jens Jamis.
- 18:58Speaker 2: How much does that change your response abilities this week?
- 19:02Speaker 4: Really?
- 19:02Speaker 5: You know, we just knew Jamis was going to you know,
- 19:04Speaker 5: take more downfield. But with Dorian most definitely, they're going
- 19:09Speaker 5: to you know, make sure that no, we win the game.
- 19:12Speaker 4: You know, he doesn't lose the game.
- 19:14Speaker 5: You know, where he's going to keep it, you know, uh,
- 19:16Speaker 5: the ball away from Joe, you know, just so they
- 19:19Speaker 5: can maintain the ball most of the time, so they're
- 19:21Speaker 5: going to run it.
- 19:22Speaker 4: You know.
- 19:22Speaker 5: Uh, it's Cleveland. We've we've played them multiple times, you know,
- 19:25Speaker 5: since I've been well, I think that's six times playing
- 19:28Speaker 5: him now. Yeah, so you know we're very familiar with
- 19:31Speaker 5: the Judge's schemes, so you know he's going to be uh.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I a good game.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Two picks in the last three weeks ago, get another
- 19:38Speaker 2: on Sunday.
- 19:38Speaker 4: And I can't wait. I need it what it's worth.
- 19:41Speaker 2: According to Pro Football Focus, Cam has had three of
- 19:45Speaker 2: his four highest graded games of the season over the
- 19:48Speaker 2: last three weeks. The Bengals Booth Podcast is brought to

- 20:08Speaker 2: provider of the Bengals. A hot topic for many Bengals
- 20:12Speaker 2: fans this week and football fans in general, has been
- 20:15Speaker 2: Joe Burrow's sideline rant. Near the end of last week's
- 20:19Speaker 2: win over Tennessee. With a victory in hand, Joe let
- 20:22Speaker 2: loose with a profanity laced tirade to head coach Zach
- 20:26Speaker 2: Taylor about the four turnovers and fourteen penalties that the
- 20:30Speaker 2: Bengals got away with. The two of them discussed it
- 20:34Speaker 2: with reporters on Wednesday.
- 20:37Speaker 7: He was just trying to tell me to be happy
- 20:38Speaker 7: with the win. And I appreciate that about him because
- 20:43Speaker 7: I can get lost, and just like everybody can, you
- 20:46Speaker 7: get lost in the adversity of the season. You get
- 20:49Speaker 7: you can't take winning for granted. And I've tried to
- 20:53Speaker 7: get better at that, and you know, Zach tries to
- 20:57Speaker 7: help me get better at that shape that about him,
- 21:02Speaker 7: and it's tough for me sometimes I can probably do
- 21:06Speaker 7: a better job of keeping my emotions in checking that situation.
- 21:09Speaker 7: Like I said, it wasn't directed it. Zacher was just
- 21:12Speaker 7: a frustrating It's just a display of frustration of the
- 21:16Speaker 7: day that I had, that we had as an offense
- 21:20Speaker 7: and how sloppy it was. And you know, we've had
- 21:23Speaker 7: those discussions in house and talked about what needs to
- 21:27Speaker 7: be better and what was great too.
- 21:29Speaker 8: He's got an edge to him that is what makes
- 21:32Speaker 8: him who he is and I don't want to change
- 21:35Speaker 8: that for one second because who he is and what
- 21:40Speaker 8: makes him tick is what makes Joe Burrow different from
- 21:42Speaker 8: everybody else in this planet.
- 21:43Speaker 4: And so.
- 21:45Speaker 8: You know, we're together a lot more than any member
- 21:49Speaker 8: of my family. And so again it's I love working
- 21:52Speaker 8: with him every single day.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Love the edge. It's about him.
- 21:55Speaker 8: It's not always perfect between us when we're out there
- 21:58Speaker 8: dealing with moments, but that's part of the competitive fire
- 22:01Speaker 8: that he's got that I love and wouldn't change a
- 22:04Speaker 8: thing about him. And anytime something flares up, we move
- 22:07Speaker 8: on and we're quick capass it. But that's when you've
- 22:11Speaker 8: got a great player who man winning and doing it
- 22:14Speaker 8: the right way is the most important thing to him.
- 22:17Speaker 8: That's the best thing you can have from a leader
- 22:18Speaker 8: in your football team that doesn't accept anything that's below
- 22:21Speaker 8: standard at any moment from anybody. And and you know
- 22:25Speaker 8: you're begging. There's teams around the league begging for someone
- 22:28Speaker 8: to have that standard, and we've got it, and so
- 22:30Speaker 8: you've got to embrace that and keep letting him and
- 22:33Speaker 8: lead the way for us.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Just last week, Burrow referred to his relationship with coach
- 22:39Speaker 2: Taylor and the Bengals offensive staff as a quote match
- 22:43Speaker 2: made in heaven, but many people interpreted Joe's visible frustration
- 22:48Speaker 2: last Sunday as a sign of friction between quarterback and coach. Furthermore,
- 22:54Speaker 2: I've seen a ton of fans on social media say
- 22:57Speaker 2: that Burrow's fiery side is a fit with his coaches
- 23:01Speaker 2: calm demeanor. I asked coach Taylor about that this week.
- 23:07Speaker 8: I can't tell people what to think about what they
- 23:09Speaker 8: see from my demeanor. I know why I act the
- 23:13Speaker 8: way I act. It's the only way I know how
- 23:14Speaker 8: to be. In certain moments, I act certain ways, But
- 23:18Speaker 8: during a game, the only way I know how to
- 23:19Speaker 8: lead is through calm and try to try to it's
- 23:24Speaker 8: for myself sometimes as a play caller and managing a
- 23:27Speaker 8: team and trying to get the message across, but that's
- 23:29Speaker 8: all I know how to do. So if I try
- 23:31Speaker 8: to change my demeanor for what I think people want
- 23:33Speaker 8: to see from me or a head coach, then I'm
- 23:36Speaker 8: gonna fail because that's just not what's gotten me here
- 23:38Speaker 8: at this point in my life. And part of my
- 23:41Speaker 8: journey is just just doing it the way that I've
- 23:42Speaker 8: done it and proud of the way that you know,
- 23:46Speaker 8: I've done it here for six years the way that
- 23:48Speaker 8: I wanted to do it. And we've had success, we've
- 23:50Speaker 8: had tough times, and I'm going to continue just to
- 23:52Speaker 8: be me. And that would be my message to everybody.
- 23:55Speaker 8: You know, don't change who you are. Everyone on our team.
- 23:58Speaker 8: You know, there's moments where we can interpret things differently,
- 24:01Speaker 8: but you gotta be true to who you are and
- 24:03Speaker 8: will always work through it. And I think that's what's
- 24:05Speaker 8: been so great about our coaching staff is we got
- 24:08Speaker 8: a lot of really good people that know how to
- 24:11Speaker 8: manage the players, know how to manage each other, know
- 24:13Speaker 8: who they are. They're confident in themselves as a man
- 24:16Speaker 8: and as a coach, and it's a lot of us
- 24:18Speaker 8: to weather a lot of stuff.
- 24:21Speaker 2: You know who else had a calm sideline demeanor, Paul Brown.
- 24:26Speaker 2: You can certainly second guess Zach on his coaching decisions.
- 24:29Speaker 2: That's fair game. But the idea that he has to
- 24:32Speaker 2: yell and scream in order to motivate professional athletes seem
- 24:36Speaker 2: silly to me. Now time for this week's Know the
- 24:40Speaker 2: Faux segment. After winning eleven games and going to the
- 24:43Speaker 2: playoffs last year, the Cleveland Browns have lost eleven games
- 24:46Speaker 2: so far this year with three games to go. The
- 24:49Speaker 2: big trade for Deshaun Watson has proven to be a disaster,
- 24:53Speaker 2: and Zach Jackson, who covers the team for the Athletic
- 24:56Speaker 2: says it's time for major changes. He joined Dave Lapham
- 25:01Speaker 2: and me on the Bengals game plan show the.
- 25:04Speaker 9: Front office has wrecked the ship. It just has, and
- 25:07Speaker 9: Deshaun Watson is a huge part of that. He's not
- 25:10Speaker 9: the only disappointing player this season. He's not the only
- 25:13Speaker 9: bad contract going forward with There a lot of so
- 25:16Speaker 9: there's no easy fix. There's no sense in putting blame,
- 25:20Speaker 9: although that's what we do. It's going to take a
- 25:22Speaker 9: multi level look at where they are this this current
- 25:27Speaker 9: blow up will have Miles Garrett and Denzel Ward, which
- 25:31Speaker 9: current versions didn't have. This was not supposed to be
- 25:34Speaker 9: this way, but it's an aging offensive line. It's absolutely
- 25:37Speaker 9: zero at the quarterback position. There's questions at premium positions
- 25:42Speaker 9: like left tackle, lionbacker, running back. You know, I don't
- 25:46Speaker 9: know what Nick Chubb's future is, so yeah, I just
- 25:50Speaker 9: don't think you could possibly let this front office make
- 25:53Speaker 9: this round of decisions. But this ownership group is capable
- 25:57Speaker 9: of a lot, so we will see what happens. I'm
- 25:58Speaker 9: not making any proclema other than man, this is this
- 26:02Speaker 9: is really bad.
- 26:04Speaker 6: You know, it's quite amazing, Zach. I look at I
- 26:07Speaker 6: look at this roster and the personnel. Granted quarterback, you know,
- 26:13Speaker 6: it hasn't happened at the quarterback position. Huge misses there,
- 26:17Speaker 6: but athleticism in speed. I mean, I'm looking at you know,
- 26:22Speaker 6: a guy like Miles Garrett, short space quickness, athletic as
- 26:24Speaker 6: anybody can run. I'm looking at you know, linebackers, at
- 26:28Speaker 6: least one of them can run at the in the
- 26:30Speaker 6: back end, a lot of guys can run. Judy can run.
- 26:33Speaker 6: You got a tight end when healthy that can run
- 26:35Speaker 6: in Juco. I mean, there's there's talent on this football team.
- 26:38Speaker 6: There's as much athleticism and speed in a lot of areas.
- 26:42Speaker 6: A lot of pieces on this football team is most
- 26:45Speaker 6: a lot of teams in the National Football League. But
- 26:47Speaker 6: I mean the quarterback play is everybody knows has been
- 26:51Speaker 6: I mean Horrific's probably not strong enough.
- 26:53Speaker 9: I guess, yeah, that's right. I mean, in less than
- 26:57Speaker 9: seven starts, they didn't reach two hundred yards passing twenty points, right,
- 27:01Speaker 9: and maybe a little bit would have been different even
- 27:03Speaker 9: if you just steel one of those wins. But this
- 27:05Speaker 9: was not a good enough scene, you know, And they
- 27:08Speaker 9: got older in the offseason preparing for this, like until
- 27:11Speaker 9: they had to ship off Amari Cooper and Zadarias Smith.
- 27:14Speaker 9: This was the most expensive roster in NFL history that
- 27:17Speaker 9: was by design, like this was the all in year.
- 27:19Speaker 9: So when you miss on the all in year, their
- 27:21Speaker 9: consequences and there's a bunch of dead money comes up.
- 27:24Speaker 9: Jerry Judy has been a completely different player in recent weeks.
- 27:27Speaker 9: There are some promising young guys. A lot of them
- 27:29Speaker 9: aren't healthy right now, which is part of the problem,
- 27:32Speaker 9: but that's why they are where they are. They're going
- 27:33Speaker 9: to just let the third string quarterback play see what
- 27:36Speaker 9: they can get. They're going to let some other young
- 27:37Speaker 9: guys play a linebacker at safety and try to salvage
- 27:41Speaker 9: something out of this season because it's just been wholly disappointed.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Zach Jackson covers the Browns for The Athletic. He can
- 27:49Speaker 2: follow him on ex at Akron Jackson. Let's talk about
- 27:53Speaker 2: the quarterback change this week. Dorian Thompson Robinson is in,
- 27:57Speaker 2: Jameis Winston is out. I kind of interpret that as
- 28:01Speaker 2: it's the right thing to do because you need to
- 28:04Speaker 2: know what you've got in DTR, but not necessarily the
- 28:09Speaker 2: thing that gives the Browns the best chance to win.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Do you feel the same.
- 28:13Speaker 9: Way, Yeah, I think that's a fair interpretation. I mean,
- 28:16Speaker 9: it was time, you know, and Jamis, who can still
- 28:19Speaker 9: throw a beautiful ball and does throw beautiful ball. Sometimes
- 28:23Speaker 9: he's just thrown too many to the other and he
- 28:25Speaker 9: doesn't have a contract for next year. Dtr is under
- 28:28Speaker 9: contract for two years. You have to let him play.
- 28:30Speaker 9: He's a great kid. He's a backup quarterback, right you
- 28:33Speaker 9: drafted him to be a backup quarterback. So he will
- 28:36Speaker 9: come in the game. He will be prepared, he will
- 28:38Speaker 9: bring some mobility, will bring obviously a different look. He's
- 28:41Speaker 9: not going to shuck it down the field like Jamis.
- 28:43Speaker 9: They're just praying he doesn't shuck it right to the
- 28:44Speaker 9: other team like Jamis does. So he's not been real
- 28:47Speaker 9: good at that either. But they're hoping with the preparation
- 28:50Speaker 9: and the emphasis on just don't turn it over, that
- 28:53Speaker 9: it'll be safer. And as you know, the Bengals defense
- 28:55Speaker 9: has been a little leaky. So you know, I expect
- 28:58Speaker 9: Dorian to give a fair rep presentation of himself. I
- 29:02Speaker 9: expect the Browns to give a fair representation of themselves.
- 29:05Speaker 9: But what they've put out there in many areas has
- 29:08Speaker 9: just been not consistently good. And then obviously the lack
- 29:11Speaker 9: of production from the quarterback position in the offense has
- 29:14Speaker 9: sunk them here. I mean the last two games, guys,
- 29:17Speaker 9: the defense has got three and outs on four of
- 29:19Speaker 9: the first five possessions. Like they're showing up prepared, they're
- 29:21Speaker 9: showing up inspired, trying to win the field position game,
- 29:24Speaker 9: trying to create some energy, and then one bad thing happens,
- 29:27Speaker 9: one penalty, one turnover, and the damn breaks quickly.
- 29:32Speaker 6: So I guess a follow up question that that would be,
- 29:35Speaker 6: is their finger pointing going on? I mean, is there?
- 29:39Speaker 6: And not necessarily are they going to do it publicly?
- 29:43Speaker 6: But people that are in the know, like you that
- 29:45Speaker 6: cover the team on a daily basis, you know, and
- 29:47Speaker 6: other people have you noticed, you know, defense saying, man,
- 29:51Speaker 6: if the offense would just give us something, I mean,
- 29:53Speaker 6: we're playing a lot of us to win some football
- 29:55Speaker 6: games here. Is there any of that going on?
- 29:58Speaker 9: There is lap, But the truth is, I mean, the
- 30:00Speaker 9: easiest way to point the fingers to the guy that's
- 30:02Speaker 9: no longer there to Sean, right, and so it's never
- 30:06Speaker 9: one person, one thing good or bad. Right, But yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 9: it's just been miserable. They've lost three straight. They've turned
- 30:13Speaker 9: it over. James had multiple interceptions and all three of
- 30:15Speaker 9: those they had their high moment, they beat the Steelers
- 30:18Speaker 9: in the snow. Jerry Judy taking this leap from I
- 30:22Speaker 9: think he was like one hundred and fifth in the
- 30:24Speaker 9: NFL and receiving in mid October, and a few weeks
- 30:28Speaker 9: ago they left Enver, he was about five right, So
- 30:31Speaker 9: that is one of the few positives. But other than that,
- 30:34Speaker 9: if you're playing out the string, and then eventually you
- 30:36Speaker 9: got to make a string of decisions on who's making
- 30:39Speaker 9: the calls, which contracts you want to continue to invest in,
- 30:42Speaker 9: and which ones you need to say, Hey, we're probably
- 30:45Speaker 9: at least a year away from being a competitive team
- 30:47Speaker 9: in the hell of a competitive division.
- 30:51Speaker 2: For years, the offensive line was tremendous. Did it just
- 30:55Speaker 2: get old? What happened?
- 30:58Speaker 9: Well, Watson was holding the ball to me, that's for sure.
- 31:01Speaker 9: But they've had a rotating cast of characters in both tackles.
- 31:04Speaker 9: Now Conkland has come back and solidified right tackle, but
- 31:07Speaker 9: they've really had a carousel at left tackle. They have
- 31:11Speaker 9: guys who are getting old and make a bunch of money,
- 31:13Speaker 9: but they've played better and those guys have been durable.
- 31:16Speaker 9: I mean, Buttonio might be in the Hall of Fame someday.
- 31:18Speaker 9: Why Teller might go back to the Pro Bowl. You know,
- 31:21Speaker 9: Ethan Poschik is as solid as they come. But I
- 31:24Speaker 9: would just sum it up like this. Guys like Jack
- 31:25Speaker 9: Conklin's had major injuries in his career. When he's played,
- 31:29Speaker 9: he's played at a super high level. I mean he's
- 31:31Speaker 9: playing at a super high level right now at right tackle.
- 31:34Speaker 9: But they owe almost twenty million for next year. He's
- 31:36Speaker 9: over thirty, he has the injury history they probably can't
- 31:39Speaker 9: afford to keep. And when they go to Jack Conklin
- 31:42Speaker 9: and said you want to take a pay cut, the
- 31:44Speaker 9: answer has to be no, I want to go play
- 31:46Speaker 9: for a competent team. So that's just kind of the
- 31:48Speaker 9: corner they've painted themselves in here.
- 31:51Speaker 6: So they've given up fifty eight sacks, which is most
- 31:54Speaker 6: in the National Football League. Is because the quarterbacks have
- 31:58Speaker 6: held the ball too long? Is the offensive line breaking down?
- 32:01Speaker 6: When you kind of think of the ratio, you know,
- 32:04Speaker 6: of those fifty eight sacks, where does the blade mostly lye?
- 32:07Speaker 6: And now with Thompson Robinson and his feet and legs
- 32:10Speaker 6: and how he can extend and create, do you expect
- 32:13Speaker 6: that problem to be alleviated.
- 32:15Speaker 9: Some Yeah, that number jumps out at you doesn't elapse,
- 32:18Speaker 9: it sure does. Yeah, you know, I would say a
- 32:21Speaker 9: lot of it is just the product of losing all
- 32:23Speaker 9: the time, right, And I think that's probably why they're
- 32:25Speaker 9: they're sacks by their defense is not as high as
- 32:28Speaker 9: they would like it to be, despite their pressure rates
- 32:30Speaker 9: being good, despite heading Miles Garrett. Yeah, early on they
- 32:33Speaker 9: were just holding the ball too much and they were
- 32:35Speaker 9: always losing in the fourth quarter. The defenses were just
- 32:38Speaker 9: kind of teeing off. So, yeah, they've had stripped sacks.
- 32:40Speaker 9: They've had everything pre smat penalties have been a problem.
- 32:44Speaker 9: Everything you can do to consistently put yourself in third
- 32:47Speaker 9: and eight or certain fifty they've done a little bit of,
- 32:51Speaker 9: and there was some fourth quarter magic from Jamis against
- 32:54Speaker 9: the Ravens and the Steelers, and other than that, it's
- 32:56Speaker 9: kind of been the same story. Turnover leads to bad things.
- 33:00Speaker 9: Trailing in the fourth quarter leads the worst.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Thing, Zach. My final question has to do with Jameis Winston.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I think anybody watching Hard Knocks loves the guy. Yeah,
- 33:11Speaker 2: he's great TV. Nobody gives a better pregame speech. Have
- 33:16Speaker 2: we discovered once and for all that he is a
- 33:20Speaker 2: backup quarterback, somebody that you're happy to throw in there
- 33:23Speaker 2: for three or four games. But that's who he is.
- 33:27Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean I wrote that a couple of weeks ago. Dan, Like,
- 33:30Speaker 9: if you think that Jamis still has the magic and
- 33:33Speaker 9: can make any throw that almost anybody in this league
- 33:35Speaker 9: can make your right. And if you think Jamis, given
- 33:38Speaker 9: the chance, is just going to throw to the other
- 33:39Speaker 9: team more times than you can summit, you're right. So
- 33:43Speaker 9: you know, he's a fastball thrower, He's a fast honker.
- 33:47Speaker 9: He's great. I mean, I'm not even ruling him out
- 33:49Speaker 9: coming back given the situation here, but he had he
- 33:53Speaker 9: had overplayed his welcome here and he had an opportunity here.
- 33:57Speaker 9: He really hadn't had a chance to play an extended
- 33:59Speaker 9: period in the end fell in four years and he
- 34:01Speaker 9: got it, and he had the two big moments and
- 34:04Speaker 9: he just crashed with eight interceptions in three weeks including
- 34:08Speaker 9: you know, he has a five hundred yard passing game
- 34:10Speaker 9: right on national TV sets the record, has a chance
- 34:13Speaker 9: to really make it a game to remember and really
- 34:15Speaker 9: make a statement on national TV. Grows two picks in
- 34:18Speaker 9: the fourth quarter of the Brown leaves the game.
- 34:21Speaker 6: So we talked about you know the quarterback playing obviously, interceptions,
- 34:26Speaker 6: Cleveland has thrown eighteen, they've only gotten four. They're minus
- 34:29Speaker 6: fourteen in interceptions alone minus two and fumbles minus sixteen. Overall,
- 34:35Speaker 6: they've thrown eighteen touchdown passes as a team and have
- 34:38Speaker 6: eighteen interceptions. The opponent's thrown twenty touchdown passes and only
- 34:42Speaker 6: four interceptions. Yeah, plus sixty plus sixteen. I mean does
- 34:46Speaker 6: it ball down to that? Is it that simple?
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:49Speaker 4: Not?
- 34:49Speaker 9: In the award is having a phenomenal year lap and
- 34:51Speaker 9: he's dropped about six interceptions, so you see why he
- 34:54Speaker 9: sends the award. And now Jamar Chase, right, he plays defense.
- 34:58Speaker 9: But yeah, no, like that just been the story, the
- 35:01Speaker 9: big turnover, the big sack, the big mistake in the
- 35:04Speaker 9: big moment, all year long, usually those things even out right,
- 35:07Speaker 9: you guys have seen it all year long, and these
- 35:08Speaker 9: one point games, in these wild games, right, every one
- 35:12Speaker 9: of those plays seems to have swung against the Browns
- 35:13Speaker 9: except in those two games. And some of it's your
- 35:16Speaker 9: own doing. Some of it's to strips back when you're
- 35:18Speaker 9: not paying attention, some of it's not seeing the linebacker
- 35:21Speaker 9: in the middle of the field, and all of a sudden,
- 35:22Speaker 9: the Broncos are running the other way. So yeah, it's
- 35:25Speaker 9: just it's been that kind of year. But Denzel's been phenomenal,
- 35:29Speaker 9: Miles has been Miles, and you know, Miles turns twenty
- 35:32Speaker 9: nine next week. I think he's under contract for two years,
- 35:36Speaker 9: like you would love to have him, and he can
- 35:38Speaker 9: win games for you, right, But they're going to have
- 35:41Speaker 9: to make a decision at some point because this is
- 35:43Speaker 9: not a team that's going to be competitive in twenty
- 35:45Speaker 9: twenty five. There's just no pass to it. They gave
- 35:47Speaker 9: up three first round picks for Deshaun Watson and he
- 35:49Speaker 9: stuck this franchise.
