- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katy and Josh one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: You got a question for you, Katie Cat.
- 0:05Speaker 3: I was out with some friends this past weekend and
- 0:09Speaker 3: we were at a restaurant and we were all sitting
- 0:11Speaker 3: there talking because it was a fairly nice restaurant, and
- 0:15Speaker 3: in came two dudes and what looked like to be
- 0:19Speaker 3: their wives, and the guys had hats on, I know.
- 0:25Speaker 3: So it led to a conversation regarding men and hats
- 0:30Speaker 3: and whether or not that should be allowed in restaurants,
- 0:32Speaker 3: if that's a good look or not.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Foughts, what do you think?
- 0:37Speaker 4: It depends on the restaurant, It depends on the hat,
- 0:41Speaker 4: it depends on their entire get up, because that's the thing.
- 0:44Speaker 4: A lot of guys can make their hat work with
- 0:46Speaker 4: their outfit right like they planned it that way.
- 0:49Speaker 1: So if it's a nice hat, now, if it's just.
- 0:52Speaker 4: A you know, torn up Rockies hat that has sweat
- 0:55Speaker 4: all the way across.
- 0:56Speaker 1: The brim, maybe leave that at home.
- 0:59Speaker 4: But that's the thing is I think that is a
- 1:01Speaker 4: very old school way of thinking when it comes to
- 1:05Speaker 4: hats in restaurants, because I know that, like my grandpa
- 1:08Speaker 4: used to yell at my brother when he'd wear a
- 1:10Speaker 4: hat at the table, and I just that's what it
- 1:13Speaker 4: reminds me of. It's like an old school way of thinking.
- 1:15Speaker 3: It doesn't We've definitely got relax at home, yeah for sure.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Like I'll sit there with a hat on, yes, but
- 1:20Speaker 2: if it's like.
- 1:20Speaker 3: A family dinner, like a Thanksgiving or doing something with
- 1:23Speaker 3: a family, I will most likely take it off.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Probably because you're gonna make your grandma mad.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Though, like, well she's dead well or someone in that right.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I got one grand but she's pretty chill, so I
- 1:36Speaker 2: don't think.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Usually who it upsets is the older people, you know.
- 1:40Speaker 4: So it's like, maybe this is something that's gonna phase
- 1:42Speaker 4: out in the next few years.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Well, my whole thing was is like, if you're going
- 1:45Speaker 3: into the restaurant with that hat on and then you
- 1:48Speaker 3: pull it off as you're coming in and you're sitting there,
- 1:51Speaker 3: would you rather have the hat on or the look
- 1:56Speaker 3: at somebody's sweaty, messed up.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Hair, because that's it. That's the thing. Josh's wearing a hat.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Joshua's hats.
- 2:02Speaker 4: But again, Josh's hats are nice and they go with
- 2:05Speaker 4: his outfit right, like.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It's like he planned them.
- 2:07Speaker 4: He's not wearing a sweaty baseball cap. He's got like
- 2:09Speaker 4: one hundred dollars alo on hat on.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I know, but like we were at a nice place though.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It was a nice place and to see everyone else
- 2:17Speaker 3: dressed fairly nicely, and then these these two guys come
- 2:19Speaker 3: in with their wives with hats on.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I was like, I don't know if that's a good
- 2:23Speaker 4: look or not. I don't know what did the wives think.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Did they get up and.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Ask him, oh, okay, what do you think about your
- 2:29Speaker 2: husband's hat?
- 2:31Speaker 4: If they were, did they look embarrassed, did they look
- 2:34Speaker 4: like they didn't want to be seen with their husband.
- 2:36Speaker 1: With the hat?
- 2:37Speaker 5: Like?
- 2:37Speaker 1: How did that know? It was just you who had
- 2:39Speaker 1: a problem with it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: No, it just he brought up a conversation at the table.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Is like that an old school, dated way to look
- 2:45Speaker 3: at things that you're not aware to allowed to wear
- 2:48Speaker 3: hats to restaurants anymore.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I don't know. It was just brought up. I thought
- 2:50Speaker 2: i'd toss it out to you and get your thoughts.
- 2:52Speaker 2: But you're pretty chill.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you you maybe you weren't the right person to
- 2:55Speaker 3: talk to you about this.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I just I think that it's it's okay
- 3:01Speaker 4: in certain settings, especially now, Like I think all of
- 3:04Speaker 4: that is kind of I mean, we're wedding crop tops
- 3:06Speaker 4: at work, you know, so it's like.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Hats at a wedding, No hats at a funeral, No
- 3:13Speaker 3: keen Sanira.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Again you cowboy hats.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, like I think that that's where again
- 3:21Speaker 4: you have to make the differential is which hat are
- 3:24Speaker 4: you bringing to which occasion?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's funny when we go on vacation, I like
- 3:28Speaker 3: to buy new hats just because I know we're gonna
- 3:30Speaker 3: be like taking pictures and doing things, so I always
- 3:32Speaker 3: buy a new hat to make sure it's not all
- 3:34Speaker 3: sweaty and nasty.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I'm a very courteous hat word.
- 3:37Speaker 1: See there you go doing it right, Jack.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I think that's probably why it took me off, because
- 3:41Speaker 3: I was like, hey, be courteous, dude, that sweat down
- 3:44Speaker 3: that hat. All right, we're gonna be opening up the
- 3:47Speaker 3: phone lines here again and we're gonna be talking about
- 3:49Speaker 3: your possessions, things that you have that you could just
- 3:53Speaker 3: not live without.
- 3:54Speaker 2: This dude named Matt. He wrote Matt in Littleton. Thanks
- 3:59Speaker 2: Matt from little And for writing it.
- 4:00Speaker 3: He says, Hey, JKJ, my wife and I talk about
- 4:04Speaker 3: you when we get drunk.
- 4:06Speaker 2: That's how we started the note time I've been told that,
- 4:11Speaker 2: he says.
- 4:11Speaker 3: We have a silly game that we play with our
- 4:13Speaker 3: friends to see who could come up with the best
- 4:16Speaker 3: radio topics. And he goes, ha ha, he wrote out,
- 4:18Speaker 3: that's kind of a fun thing to do.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I guess thanks for doing our job.
- 4:21Speaker 1: You should text us in those topics, she goes.
- 4:26Speaker 3: So we're out at the neighborhood group hub a couple
- 4:28Speaker 3: of days ago when our topic turned into a surprisingly
- 4:31Speaker 3: heated conversation. We were talking about what two possessions could
- 4:36Speaker 3: you keep for the rest of your life. He says,
- 4:39Speaker 3: it's not money, not your car, just two things that
- 4:43Speaker 3: you own that you.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Would be absolutely crushed to lose.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Let me add on to that, no kids, no dogs,
- 4:51Speaker 3: none of that either. Okay, so what two like things?
- 4:56Speaker 3: It was fascinating everyone's everyone had different answers. They were
- 4:59Speaker 3: so different. One guy said his grandfather's watch and his guitar.
- 5:04Speaker 3: My wife said, our wedding photo album and this beat
- 5:07Speaker 3: up stuffed rabbit she's had since she was three. Another
- 5:12Speaker 3: one of my friends said his smoker that he always
- 5:15Speaker 3: took mine, and his vinyl record collection.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Oh, made me.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Realize that the things we value most aren't usually the
- 5:22Speaker 3: expensive stuff.
- 5:23Speaker 2: They might be things whose stories attached to them.
- 5:26Speaker 3: So he wraps up by saying, now, I'm curious, what
- 5:28Speaker 3: are your guys's two possessions that you could never live without?
- 5:32Speaker 2: I think you'd get some.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Really great stories out of people we love the show.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Did your work for you? Is how he ended it,
- 5:39Speaker 3: and that was Matt, Thank you, Matt, Thank you, Matt.
- 5:42Speaker 3: And you're drunk friends. That's very kind of you. So
- 5:45Speaker 3: that's the question out there this morning. What two possessions
- 5:49Speaker 3: could you keep for the rest of your life? You
- 5:51Speaker 3: only get to pick two, so you gotta think hard
- 5:53Speaker 3: about this. What are the two?
- 5:55Speaker 2: And again, you.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Can't pick your dog, you can't pick your kids, you
- 5:59Speaker 3: can't see your house like I want things, things that
- 6:02Speaker 3: you actually went out in God, or you got his gifts,
- 6:04Speaker 3: or maybe that.
- 6:05Speaker 2: You were handed down to you.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And like Matt, I was gonna say, my tragger definitely
- 6:09Speaker 3: would be one of mine.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Man, I love that trigger.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I used it again this weekend, did yeah? Smoking them
- 6:15Speaker 4: chin and then you showed off with pictures. So I
- 6:18Speaker 4: agree with you.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I think you need that in your life.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I think Mine would be my trigger and my iPad.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Many probably, Oh, you're taking technology. Love that damn iPad Many.
- 6:28Speaker 3: It is the greatest little gadget I own. I am
- 6:30Speaker 3: running'm doing iPad.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Many far away from the handheld says I can well
- 6:34Speaker 4: hold on to there, Well hold on your okay, I
- 6:36Speaker 4: want to fill up phone lines.
- 6:37Speaker 2: What are your possessions?
- 6:38Speaker 3: Your two possessions that you would take no matter what,
- 6:41Speaker 3: you can only have you can have them for the
- 6:42Speaker 3: rest of your life. Three oh three six nine one
- 6:45Speaker 3: one mix three oh three six nine one sixteen forty nine.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Phone lines are already ringing. I love this, Yeah, call in.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Let's have some fun with JKJ like a couple of
- 6:57Speaker 3: things I was thinking about, Like, I've got a winter jacket.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It's this area winter jacket that I absolutely love. It's
- 7:04Speaker 2: my most favorite jacket. I was thinking about choosing that.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Uh.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I had some socks that I really loved too, but
- 7:11Speaker 3: I went with my smoker and my iPad.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Many.
- 7:14Speaker 3: What are you guys picking your two possessions that you

- 7:45Speaker 6: closet right. Now and IF i were to ever lose, that,
- 7:48Speaker 6: like that's the THING i want to pass to my.
