A Texas couple, Moumita Roy and Kaushik Ghose, opened a resin flower shop with big dreams—only to be duped by a sophisticated scammer who pretended to be from Venmo. The fraudster pressured them into sending $6,000 via Venmo, claiming the transaction was legally required and that law enforcement was monitoring the call.
