- 0:19Speaker 2: is the Sports Shock Show with Wayne Candy.
- 0:23Speaker 3: You may began.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Show come to five comes and it comes to mon Is.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It just.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Ad?
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm a doer? Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 0:41Speaker 2: you made Bill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. You're listening to
- 0:48Speaker 2: the Sports Shock Show. I am the Sports Shock Wayne Candy.
- 0:52Speaker 2: We're coming to you live here the day after the
- 0:55Speaker 2: Super Bowl. Super Bowl sixty is in the books and
- 1:02Speaker 2: the Seahawks have won the Super Bowl. The Seahawks, I
- 1:09Speaker 2: know most of you until last night didn't know, but
- 1:13Speaker 2: like two people that played, most of you didn't know
- 1:17Speaker 2: the head coach of the sea Hawks. And whatever success
- 1:22Speaker 2: the Seahawks has had a lot of it has always
- 1:25Speaker 2: been kind of under the radar until it's not. They've
- 1:30Speaker 2: always kind of had those type players. And we know
- 1:34Speaker 2: of the last team, the Legion of Boom and that group. Marshaun,
- 1:42Speaker 2: I'm just here. I'm just here not to get fine boss,
- 1:49Speaker 2: that's all. And Russell Wilson as well, that team twenty thirteen.
- 1:54Speaker 2: But now the celebration for the Seahawks, the second Super
- 1:58Speaker 2: Bowl and their his toy, one that we could not
- 2:03Speaker 2: foreshadow was coming. Mainly, as I said, you didn't have
- 2:07Speaker 2: a lot of brand names. You had a quarterback that
- 2:11Speaker 2: had bounced around, a coach in his Mike McDonald two
- 2:16Speaker 2: the second year out there as the coach kind of unknown.
- 2:21Speaker 2: When he got the job, everybody was still calling out
- 2:24Speaker 2: for Pete Carroll. And just so funny how certain guys
- 2:28Speaker 2: go in teams hire a coach. People make up their mind.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I don't know what they are researching other than ear
- 2:37Speaker 2: hustling TV shows where they have decided they know who
- 2:41Speaker 2: is a good coach and who isn't just by what
- 2:46Speaker 2: they hear. They don't even give the person a chance,
- 2:50Speaker 2: and then they root for the coach that got fired
- 2:52Speaker 2: as though he was a winner. If you know how
- 2:57Speaker 2: few of time now in a case like the Buffalo
- 3:00Speaker 2: Old Bills, you can be like, you know, a little taken,
- 3:05Speaker 2: because this is a winning coach. He hadn't won the
- 3:07Speaker 2: big Game, but in his time there he had done
- 3:11Speaker 2: some winning. But certain teams, it's like you coach, you
- 3:14Speaker 2: know your coach didn't win last two three years, right, Okay,
- 3:18Speaker 2: then we're gonna let him go. And that doesn't always
- 3:21Speaker 2: mean that he's a bad coach. It really does not.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Some of us are stuck in our old ways where
- 3:29Speaker 2: bad goes along with No. You could be a good coach,
- 3:33Speaker 2: but just not able to be able to make recipes
- 3:37Speaker 2: or happen with this. It's almost like chopped. All those
- 3:42Speaker 2: people are chefs. Yeah, but some of them you hand
- 3:46Speaker 2: them and they'll tell you, I love that part. I've
- 3:49Speaker 2: never worked with that. That means you're about to just
- 3:51Speaker 2: make an error. They go to tasting it because that
- 3:54Speaker 2: means they've never even had what they put in there.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And then some of them get it like, yeah, man,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I cooked some some candalope soup last night. Been waiting
- 4:03Speaker 2: on this. But the Seahawks winning twenty three to nineteen
- 4:08Speaker 2: Super Bowl. I hope you had fun watching it. A
- 4:12Speaker 2: game that you had two just solid teams from solid
- 4:17Speaker 2: cities that have always had good fan bases. The twelfth
- 4:21Speaker 2: Man in Seattle, the Patriots and their dominance over basically
- 4:26Speaker 2: the last twenty five years back in it in Drake
- 4:30Speaker 2: May's second year, which holds well for them. Young Man
- 4:34Speaker 2: went out and you could just tell wasn't no where
- 4:41Speaker 2: to throw the ball most of the time. Oh are
- 4:44Speaker 2: you holding the ball? Where would you like me to
- 4:46Speaker 2: throw the ball? Sir? Who's open? I'm trying to enlighten
- 4:52Speaker 2: you to stop quarterbacks get too much credit and they
- 4:57Speaker 2: get too much criticism. It's a team sport. The line
- 5:04Speaker 2: has the center has to snap the ball. The line
- 5:07Speaker 2: has to protect somebody got to get open, and then
- 5:10Speaker 2: I gotta throw the ball to them. Okay, I know
- 5:15Speaker 2: you think it's just the quarter The quarterback don't even
- 5:18Speaker 2: already have the ball. That's a penalty. That play don't count.
- 5:24Speaker 2: That's fifteen yards lost of down because nobody hacked the ball.
- 5:27Speaker 2: The quarterback actually has to receive the ball. There is
- 5:31Speaker 2: no play where the ball is not snapped. The ball
- 5:37Speaker 2: must did you. I don't know if everybody knew that
- 5:39Speaker 2: coming out. That was just the procedure. The ball actually
- 5:42Speaker 2: have to be snapped to somebody. There is no play
- 5:47Speaker 2: without a snap. It could be on silent count. It
- 5:51Speaker 2: can he could just leave it on the ground, but
- 5:53Speaker 2: he has to move the ball. He can't just lift
- 5:56Speaker 2: his hand up. The ball has to move, so all
- 6:02Speaker 2: that goes in and I'm not taking up Drake Maye
- 6:04Speaker 2: was looked a little rattled young man living out his dream.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You know how much he was. He was in La
- 6:10Speaker 2: La Land all week. Probably got a little call there
- 6:14Speaker 2: from Sydney Sweeney or somebody. He was at some party
- 6:19Speaker 2: with some girls that was just on his apartment wall
- 6:23Speaker 2: three years ago.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Now they're asking can they buy him a drink? By him,
- 6:30Speaker 5: by him a drink to drink? He just made the cut,
- 6:38Speaker 5: he man Sidney swing. He didn't right, So Drake may couldn't,
- 6:43Speaker 5: you know? Early on nerves.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And that's why you saw with the Seahawks and even
- 6:48Speaker 2: Sam Donald got the game running, game going, take a
- 6:51Speaker 2: little pressure off the quarterbacks and those big moments that
- 6:54Speaker 2: both of them as stoic as Sam Donald is looking
- 6:58Speaker 2: as a quarterback. I'm quite sure when he got in
- 7:03Speaker 2: that Lamborghini he turned on whatever he likes to. He
- 7:09Speaker 2: might have turned on some public enemy, fight the power.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Too black, too strong, I'm too black, too strong. I'm
- 7:24Speaker 2: talking about blow speaker loud. Trust me, he gave you
- 7:29Speaker 2: all that because he doesn't want you to see all them,
- 7:32Speaker 2: all them cracks across his head. Y'all been giving him,
- 7:36Speaker 2: ma'am bomb, what is he still doing in the league?
- 7:41Speaker 2: And that that's that's really kind of like the coldest
- 7:44Speaker 2: one you can give somebody why they're still in the league.
- 7:47Speaker 2: That's like, dang man, I can't just even keep a job.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You do this is my job, right. But Sam Donald
- 7:53Speaker 2: on his fifteen really, when you look at that stat
- 7:58Speaker 2: that stands out fifteen as a quarterback to everyone in
- 8:01Speaker 2: Super Bowl because typically why you're fifteen, you are out
- 8:04Speaker 2: of the league. If you find yourself that deep in it,
- 8:08Speaker 2: you're either a well known household brand or you're out
- 8:12Speaker 2: of league by that time. Sam Donald able to get
- 8:16Speaker 2: out there. And this is the way the Seahawks for
- 8:19Speaker 2: how you people out there might if you haven't watched them,
- 8:21Speaker 2: which some of y'all probably didn't watch them until the playoffs.
- 8:24Speaker 2: They were one of those teams that I talk about
- 8:26Speaker 2: that win as a team. One week the offense wins
- 8:29Speaker 2: the game. Next week, the defense wins the game. One
- 8:33Speaker 2: week they win running the ball, one week they weren't,
- 8:37Speaker 2: they win intercepting the ball. It's like that with them.
- 8:42Speaker 2: It's no set pattern where you can just go and
- 8:46Speaker 2: you know this one player did something last week and
- 8:51Speaker 2: he gonna that's not how they play the game. There's
- 8:54Speaker 2: just kind of like we're going to exploit your weakness
- 8:58Speaker 2: and that's who going to be the star are today.
- 9:01Speaker 2: That's that's really the most intelligent way to try to
- 9:03Speaker 2: win sports. But my cast, the characters are in here,
- 9:07Speaker 2: Big Kenny, the funny man himself.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Good morning, Good morning, sir, Good morning gentlemen.
- 9:12Speaker 2: The man, excuse me, Iverson is in the building. In
- 9:21Speaker 2: the building. Uh, you get all that settled on that trip,
- 9:25Speaker 2: some trip you had taken, right and practice and slap
- 9:28Speaker 2: somebody on his One of his ex players invited him somewhere, right,
- 9:35Speaker 2: was it?
- 9:36Speaker 6: He went to Australia and uh to visit some kids,
- 9:41Speaker 6: and he did really engage with the kids.
- 9:48Speaker 2: He did. He didn't slap an the kids because I
- 9:50Speaker 2: have thought about it.
- 9:51Speaker 5: I was gonna say, we all thought about slapping the kid,
- 9:53Speaker 5: right right, we all thought about slapping a kid. Come on, man,
- 9:58Speaker 5: come on, man, you didn't you'd have thought about it.
- 10:01Speaker 5: I've thought about giving them a strong lecture. Yeah, that's
- 10:06Speaker 5: what you called it. I remember the time in the
- 10:11Speaker 5: third grade when my mama gave me a strong lecture
- 10:14Speaker 5: at the school assembly.
- 10:17Speaker 2: And bad producer in the building. I must say I
- 10:21Speaker 2: found out this morning Duke Lake Carolina and wow, Wow,
- 10:28Speaker 2: what a game. Wow Wow, How that has fallen off? Wow,
- 10:36Speaker 2: it's not expecting that. How that has falling off? And
- 10:39Speaker 2: not because that the rivalry is not there, right, but
- 10:44Speaker 2: I think with the dominance of how football has become
- 10:49Speaker 2: a year round every aspect, like they don't give football
- 10:54Speaker 2: a break anymore. They cover everything like it's the first
- 10:59Speaker 2: game of the year, Like you know, the super Bowl's over,
- 11:03Speaker 2: but you're gonna get come bine coverage. I'm talking about
- 11:07Speaker 2: full day talk about hamstring. Yeah, and for a Duke
- 11:12Speaker 2: and the Carolina game, something that people you knew even
- 11:16Speaker 2: if you didn't like the two teams, And it's a
- 11:18Speaker 2: function also of the one and done kind of situation.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Guys aren't there to build up those names that you
- 11:27Speaker 2: wanted to see. And then the thing that we all knew.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It used to be both team had two or three
- 11:33Speaker 2: four players that went at each other. Now it's they
- 11:37Speaker 2: almost like switch every year. Duka have two name players
- 11:42Speaker 2: Carolina don't know. Now Carolina's still about to put five
- 11:45Speaker 2: guys in the first round. You just don't know them.
- 11:47Speaker 2: It really is kind of like that you know when
- 11:50Speaker 2: you watch the Ribberies. So I'm quite sure it was
- 11:52Speaker 2: a great game to watch and it used to be
- 11:55Speaker 2: must watch TV. Do they still sleep outside? Yes? Remember
- 11:59Speaker 2: they had to sleep there for like five days and rotating.
- 12:02Speaker 2: And that was the students. That wasn't just regular fans.
- 12:05Speaker 2: That's the students, I said, And that leads us to
- 12:07Speaker 2: get a ticket. Yeah, they got to go to class,
- 12:10Speaker 2: somebody got to stay in the tent and we just
- 12:12Speaker 2: rotate for like four or five days. It's one of
- 12:14Speaker 2: the first schools that I have ever saw. You have
- 12:17Speaker 2: to do that because of the limited seating in those arenas.
- 12:20Speaker 2: But what a rivalry, arguably the greatest rivalry in basketball is,
- 12:25Speaker 2: at least in our lifetime that has existed. I can't
- 12:29Speaker 2: go back and contest to the sixties and seventies or
- 12:32Speaker 2: nothing like that, but you have to go back a
- 12:34Speaker 2: long time. That at least for the last thirty years,
- 12:38Speaker 2: late in the days and up it's been. It became
- 12:42Speaker 2: like eight We'll be back the more the Sports Shock
- 12:46Speaker 2: Show right after this, don't go away.

- 15:39Speaker 3: If you ever plan to motor havel my way, take
- 15:48Speaker 3: the highway, that the best.
- 15:52Speaker 2: You get your k Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you
- 15:59Speaker 2: out there in thisand the band is back together here
- 16:03Speaker 2: the day after the Super Bowl, the Seahawks winning Super
- 16:07Speaker 2: Bowl sixty out in San Francisco Levi Stadium over the
- 16:13Speaker 2: New England Patriots. Guys, I guess we will start? Are
- 16:18Speaker 2: we gonna start with the MVP or Bad Bunny versus
- 16:24Speaker 2: Turning Point US A where would you like to go?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Where would you three like to go? We have Turning
- 16:35Speaker 2: Point USA versus Bad Bunny? Or we have a situation
- 16:41Speaker 2: last night halftime show and why it was significant for me?
- 16:47Speaker 2: It's because of us here. Well. First of all, I
- 16:51Speaker 2: like to throw my boy Elam. I don't usually like
- 16:53Speaker 2: to use names, but I like to use them all
- 16:56Speaker 2: the time. I like to throw my man Elam who's
- 16:58Speaker 2: at my super Bowl party last night. I told the
- 17:02Speaker 2: ladies to eat first, and he decided to have his
- 17:06Speaker 2: lady also get him a plate and come back. And
- 17:10Speaker 2: I right rightfully went over there and took his plate. Wow,
- 17:15Speaker 2: in front of his lady. What okay, okay, I'll be
- 17:21Speaker 2: back with your plate once, I say the men. But
- 17:25Speaker 2: your little Cohn he was a kappa or is a kappa.
- 17:28Speaker 2: But that's the that's the kind of stuff that drives
- 17:31Speaker 2: the sports job crazy. That's the kind of stuff that really,
- 17:38Speaker 2: you know, people try to figure out what it's those
- 17:40Speaker 2: little things like that. It's never a big thing. Y'all
- 17:42Speaker 2: are waiting on some guy to ride down the street
- 17:45Speaker 2: in a pickup truck called me the end word. That's
- 17:48Speaker 2: not what I'm gonna look at him like, Man, that's
- 17:51Speaker 2: a nice pickup tickup truck. Yeah, I believe a racist?
- 17:55Speaker 2: Is that successful? That mine is? When I you come
- 17:59Speaker 2: over on one house and he gives you the order
- 18:01Speaker 2: of something and you're gonna find a loophole. Isn't that
- 18:05Speaker 2: a function of our society? Yeah? In twenty twenty six,
- 18:09Speaker 2: as a whole, looking we sit in the loophole. We're
- 18:14Speaker 2: trying to find that little sliver.
- 18:16Speaker 5: And uh and and and the way you described it,
- 18:20Speaker 5: uh makes it that you look for the loophole where
- 18:26Speaker 5: people begin to question the order because this this my lady.
- 18:31Speaker 5: I can't tell my lady to bring me at home
- 18:34Speaker 5: she brings me a plate.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Well, y'all need to go back home.
- 18:36Speaker 5: And see that that's ill and that's and people would
- 18:39Speaker 5: that's where And I think that is the most king
- 18:42Speaker 5: of your castle, right, I'm saying, I think about the
- 18:44Speaker 5: most castle.
- 18:45Speaker 2: That's the most. Uh.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I think challenging part about people finding loopholes is they
- 18:51Speaker 5: try and pervert certain other areas to make themselves like
- 18:58Speaker 5: you know, I would challenge that, Oh, we're in a
- 19:01Speaker 5: relationship or you know, at home we do this and
- 19:04Speaker 5: you trying to upset uh, upset the balance of our
- 19:11Speaker 5: relationship or something. But no, it's as simple as I said,
- 19:14Speaker 5: women eat first.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yes, I took its plate about twenty I guess it
- 19:18Speaker 2: was cold when I brought it back, But you should
- 19:20Speaker 2: have waited then. But now see and if you needed,
- 19:24Speaker 2: if you needed to sit there uh and try to
- 19:30Speaker 2: figure out because this is playing and the old way
- 19:39Speaker 2: would have put you out, you and her? Yeah, just wan,
- 19:46Speaker 2: So I have progressed in it. I see. I used
- 19:49Speaker 2: to just put you out because you're the people I
- 19:54Speaker 2: want to trim the fat right with. So there we
- 19:58Speaker 2: go on that. Now let's get back to bad Puney
- 20:03Speaker 2: versus Turning Point. Now, I didn't see turning Point? Where
- 20:07Speaker 2: was it? Where?
- 20:08Speaker 5: Where could I have caught that? I didn't see it either,
- 20:10Speaker 5: But what I wanted to watch it? Where was I
- 20:12Speaker 5: supposed to be on X It was supposed to be
- 20:16Speaker 5: on X first.
- 20:17Speaker 6: But they didn't get the licensing or something to that effect,
- 20:20Speaker 6: so it beat on YouTube.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Well that means that we can blame commands you, Greg
- 20:26Speaker 2: for not letting us know where we could watch Turning Point.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I didn't know, oh, I thought he said he knew.
- 20:33Speaker 2: He said he knew. It was raise your hand if
- 20:37Speaker 2: you saw turning point. So none of us saw tournament
- 20:40Speaker 2: because he was with me. So yeah, I know, didn't
- 20:45Speaker 2: didn't see turning point, didn't see tournament. I did. I
- 20:49Speaker 2: eat Bad Puney. Okay, And I think that all of
- 20:52Speaker 2: you for a minute kind of understood what the red
- 21:00Speaker 2: part of the United States. Well we're screaming about yes,
- 21:09Speaker 2: four months ago, don't don't sit there, and it's not
- 21:11Speaker 2: acting like me. Everybody was magging for a minute. We
- 21:14Speaker 2: all had to take that little Spanish class back in

- 22:06Speaker 5: And my kids are bi linguid, you know, and I
- 22:08Speaker 5: still just And that's.
- 22:11Speaker 2: What I'm saying.
- 22:11Speaker 5: We was all magging for a minute because as as
- 22:15Speaker 5: as much hard work as I'm sure they put into
- 22:18Speaker 5: the presentation, you could see the effort.
- 22:21Speaker 2: And before we go to break, we're gonna come back
- 22:23Speaker 2: talk about a little bit more for you out there.
- 22:25Speaker 2: This thing and all the sports jock trying to be No,
- 22:27Speaker 2: I turn off all music. I don't understand, so I

- 23:10Speaker 2: that off too. I love music, and I love it.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I used to play in the band. I used to
- 23:15Speaker 2: sing in the church choir, that's all. You know. My
- 23:18Speaker 2: mom punched me one time because I wouldn't sing the
- 23:21Speaker 2: solo solo. Imagine that. But we've all been punched by
- 23:27Speaker 2: man in church. Oh yeah, yeah, well you two piece anywhere. Yeah.

- 27:21Speaker 2: pure heroin. Right What what was he on when? When
- 27:25Speaker 2: pure heroin pretty much that game recognized game Sports Jock.
- 27:32Speaker 2: You and why you were saying that Because I'm such
- 27:35Speaker 2: a huge Jimmy Hendricks fan. While you were saying that,
- 27:39Speaker 2: I grew fonder of you in that moment you was
- 27:41Speaker 2: like that sounded like pure heroin. I was like Sports Shock.
- 27:44Speaker 5: No more than he let on. He let ain't no
- 27:46Speaker 5: more than he let on. Because that touched your spirit.
- 27:49Speaker 5: It resonated with you in that moment.
- 27:52Speaker 2: You could feel like you can feel that warm right there,
- 27:55Speaker 2: you can feel the warm right hold on? I did no,
- 28:00Speaker 2: I gonna get out there. That's fast. Hold on, Welcome
- 28:04Speaker 2: back to the Sports Shock Show. The bad producers in
- 28:07Speaker 2: the building, Big Kenny, the funny Man himself and Badduce.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm a little disappointed you then with my jersey. I
- 28:12Speaker 2: gave you a brand new right out the wrapper Falcon
- 28:18Speaker 2: Dandy jersey, and you don't have it on brand you
- 28:22Speaker 2: right out the wrapper. He well, like the days off style.
- 28:27Speaker 5: He got it on. He got it on e Bay. Hey,
- 28:33Speaker 5: he ain't warning. Hey, look, I ain't gonna lie. Saw
- 28:36Speaker 5: the Pittsburgh steel a jersey. I was thinking, like, boy,
- 28:38Speaker 5: I could get a live for sign.
- 28:40Speaker 2: That's what I was. I hadn't designed it for Okay,
- 28:44Speaker 2: that's all he waiting on. He's trying to keep it clean.
- 28:47Speaker 2: You gotta keep it fresh. You know. You know what
- 28:50Speaker 2: they say with you Jordan's you can't get no no
- 28:53Speaker 2: creases in it. Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 28:56Speaker 2: The bad producer commands command. She iverson. I'm excusing man
- 29:00Speaker 2: and Big Kenny the funny man himself in the building.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Super Bowl sixty in the books, controversy biggest part of it,
- 29:07Speaker 2: which you know, I think part of it For me
- 29:11Speaker 2: watching Bad Bunny, I didn't get to see turning point.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I'm sorry turning point. Trust me, I'm not misster technology.
- 29:19Speaker 2: So once I set my TV, they have to just
- 29:21Speaker 2: kind of stay set right because something happened. That's right.
- 29:25Speaker 5: If Oprah come on in the middle of the game,
- 29:27Speaker 5: were watching open how do we get a call?
- 29:31Speaker 2: How we turned this, how to get it back? How
- 29:35Speaker 2: it I don't know.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Which is a shame, but hey, come on, man, we've
- 29:40Speaker 5: all been there. I don't know how to operate it.
- 29:42Speaker 5: I just can't afford the stuff.
- 29:43Speaker 6: I didn't know you according to the President's post or
- 29:48Speaker 6: like he didn't even watch it.
- 29:50Speaker 2: He didn't watch for it either. No, he had two
- 29:53Speaker 2: or three things. He just made us. You know what,
- 29:56Speaker 2: I didn't watch. You know what I liked, and I
- 29:58Speaker 2: like about that command. You though, we need to kind
- 30:02Speaker 2: of pump the brakes on selling Trump to be doing everything.
- 30:09Speaker 2: The man can't be in Russia and Hawaii and watching
- 30:16Speaker 2: Turning Point all at the same time. But he's the
- 30:23Speaker 2: pressident we have him doing and then we anything out
- 30:26Speaker 2: there is I just it's like so convoluted that I
- 30:30Speaker 2: really just like hold on now. And the only thing
- 30:34Speaker 2: is he's just a guy that doesn't care. So he'll
- 30:36Speaker 2: let his name ride. He's not going to backtrack the name.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That's the only thing. He just ride with whatever Big
- 30:42Speaker 2: Kenny put out there. Yeah, and you could, you know,
- 30:46Speaker 2: most people like to go and get to the mic. No,
- 30:48Speaker 2: I ain't doing. He just ride. If you if you
- 30:51Speaker 2: make you talk about me, I just go along with it.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I ain't have nothing to do with what you're talking about.
- 30:56Speaker 2: We just figure he watched Turning Point because it was
- 31:01Speaker 2: something that we figure right, he was behind right, he
- 31:06Speaker 2: wanted to hear what Bad Bunny had to say about it.
- 31:09Speaker 2: We just automatically anything in that vein, we just add
- 31:14Speaker 2: him in. Yeah, he he w that. And main of
- 31:18Speaker 2: because he's not gonna they can put a picture on
- 31:21Speaker 2: the fly with him on it. If it if it
- 31:24Speaker 2: treads up, he good. And then if something happened two
- 31:28Speaker 2: hundred millions clicked on, Oh really.
- 31:33Speaker 20: He ain't gonna be like, that's talking about you. I
- 31:36Speaker 20: need minds because you put us on the fly.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Well, and if it turns out tragic, kill go. I
- 31:42Speaker 2: didn't have anything to do with it, do with that specially.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Someone told me that it was. It was.
- 31:50Speaker 6: They said that it was ok, but there could be evidence,
- 31:53Speaker 6: Like y'all have pictures together, but if you do something,
- 31:55Speaker 6: he's like, No, I barely knew him, saw him.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I saw him two times in them pictures we were
- 32:03Speaker 2: in together. That was it.
- 32:05Speaker 5: So you saw him two times in y'all thirteen year relationship.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I barely knew him. Other people said he was okay,
- 32:11Speaker 2: but Bad Bunny and I was saying last year, which
- 32:15Speaker 2: was an outstanding Super Bowl performance for a lot of people.
- 32:20Speaker 5: And who was last year. Remind us, please Usher, Usher,
- 32:24Speaker 5: it was Kendrick Drick years back to back, right, and
- 32:32Speaker 5: then he had the year before Snoop and Dre.
- 32:34Speaker 2: And remember though, the Kendrick was surrounded with a great
- 32:38Speaker 2: deal of controversy as well, because at the time Drake
- 32:41Speaker 2: had a lawsuit. So the NFL is playing the car
- 32:45Speaker 2: of controversy.
- 32:46Speaker 5: Trump car the controversy car this year because there was
- 32:50Speaker 5: no musical controversy to spoke up the doctor.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Dre had a little controversy of how you have a
- 32:56Speaker 2: murderous group, Oh yeah, yeah, controversy his own issues, right, yeah, yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 2: And then you had, like you're saying, Kendrick and the
- 33:04Speaker 2: whole and then they ride this wave. But as I
- 33:07Speaker 2: said when I talked about this, you could tell by
- 33:12Speaker 2: the participation at least where we was watching that maybe
- 33:18Speaker 2: fifteen percent compared to one hundred percent last year, one
- 33:25Speaker 2: hundred percent the year before. Participation of dancing and moving
- 33:28Speaker 2: around bad Bunny. It seemed like it was never going
- 33:33Speaker 2: to end the halftime shows before. It seemed like I
- 33:38Speaker 2: wanted it to keep going. Oh that's all, that's all man.
- 33:42Speaker 2: He should have been a more fast twenty minutes. He
- 33:45Speaker 2: should have bought out. And Bad Bunny's on was maybe
- 33:49Speaker 2: two songs in. Oh, Ricky Martin, they got Ricky Martin. Yeah,
- 33:53Speaker 2: I didn't even know dicking up people. I thought Ricky
- 33:56Speaker 2: Martin was hey. This man said, hey, is that Ricky Martin?
- 33:59Speaker 2: I said, I thought Ricky mart I was dead. I
- 34:00Speaker 2: was dead serious too. I didn't know Ricky wanted was
- 34:03Speaker 2: still a lot bought him up. There's some kind of
- 34:05Speaker 2: racism in there, but you know, and you from you
- 34:11Speaker 2: from North Carolina, we like your racism visible. You know,
- 34:14Speaker 2: what did you guys think about Bad Bundy before we
- 34:17Speaker 2: move on past the handmap show? I like the show.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I did.
- 34:23Speaker 6: I understood maybe like two percent of of the lyrics,
- 34:27Speaker 6: but I liked all the visuals. Paid tribute to to
- 34:32Speaker 6: Puerto Rico, which is a US territory, which you know,
- 34:37Speaker 6: people failed geography and don't know, so it was really
- 34:43Speaker 6: just celebrating.
- 34:44Speaker 2: How long Puerto Rico been in US territory. I don't
- 34:48Speaker 2: know how long nineteen.
- 34:54Speaker 6: And I like the special appearances Ricky Martin, Lady Gaga
- 35:01Speaker 6: and there was a scene like in front of the
- 35:05Speaker 6: House thing where there's Jessica Alba and Cardi b and
- 35:11Speaker 6: Pedro Pascal. I think Ronald Lacunia was there too, so visually.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 35:20Speaker 6: But just like you know at at your party and everything,
- 35:24Speaker 6: there's a there is a disconnect because of the language barrier.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Big Kenny is I is I. I mean, I understand it,
- 35:34Speaker 5: so uh you know uh.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Part of my.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Watching live musical performances is singing along with the songs
- 35:44Speaker 5: that I like, my favorite songs. These songs evoke fond memories.
- 35:49Speaker 2: For me.
- 35:49Speaker 5: It may be a somber memory, but I connect because
- 35:54Speaker 5: there's an understanding present, and without the ability to translate that,
- 36:00Speaker 5: I miss the entire feeling you're trying to evoke. I
- 36:05Speaker 5: like the music resonates, but the performance itself is lost
- 36:11Speaker 5: on me because I don't know what you're saying, and
- 36:13Speaker 5: I don't participate in anything where I can't communicate with people.
- 36:19Speaker 20: Well, when you're in Rome, you do is wrongs and
- 36:22Speaker 20: my thing was the communication part.
- 36:25Speaker 2: I'm with Kenny.
- 36:26Speaker 20: If I was in Puerto Rico, if I was in
- 36:28Speaker 20: the lamb place where the music that I could get
- 36:31Speaker 20: with it. But just if you just sat around and
- 36:34Speaker 20: you watched everybody, probably when it kicked off, everybody was
- 36:37Speaker 20: excited the next thing, you know, it was just like
- 36:39Speaker 20: everybody sitting around. Everybody was scared to say, oh wow,
- 36:42Speaker 20: we might have made a mistake. But it was like
- 36:44Speaker 20: really no interaction because you could hear the beat, but
- 36:47Speaker 20: you don't know the words. And when out, when you're
- 36:50Speaker 20: out of town and you're visiting foreign countries or whatever,
- 36:54Speaker 20: you get engaged because you're there at that moment and
- 36:56Speaker 20: it's fun, but sometimes it's not.
- 36:58Speaker 5: And to that point, you you spoke about going visiting
- 37:02Speaker 5: foreign places as well. Even when I visited foreign places,
- 37:06Speaker 5: if I got a question, I asked someone and they
- 37:09Speaker 5: don't understand me. I'm through asking questions with locals. I'm
- 37:13Speaker 5: looking for an American to talk to at that point.
- 37:16Speaker 5: And that's in the country where the language is the
- 37:20Speaker 5: dominant language. So in my own country, I you know,
- 37:23Speaker 5: I'm not finna put on the captions in English to
- 37:27Speaker 5: enjoy a performance. I just did something else midway And
- 37:30Speaker 5: back to the visuals. Great did has some great visuals
- 37:34Speaker 5: to dancing. I couldn't understand what the power lines, which
- 37:38Speaker 5: I know they were trying to. I mean, everybody was
- 37:41Speaker 5: trying to make a political statement. I mean that the
- 37:44Speaker 5: song he was doing at the time. From what I
- 37:46Speaker 5: found out later, it is about uh. It was a
- 37:50Speaker 5: song that literally translates to the power outage because.
- 37:54Speaker 20: We see, we don't we don't. We don't know that.
- 37:56Speaker 20: See that's what I'm saying. See we see there was
- 37:58Speaker 20: a lot of stuff I have.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I have a lot of power outages right here. Really,
- 38:04Speaker 2: I live in Maryetta Eye. Power go out three times
- 38:07Speaker 2: right here. It don't stay out but twenty minutes, but
- 38:10Speaker 2: it go out, No, and that's no jobbing them up right? Yeah, yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 2: Well it's like every other day something. If it's just
- 38:19Speaker 2: even if it's just for a minute, I gotta go
- 38:22Speaker 2: reset the modem sports. I was gonna say, joke is
- 38:26Speaker 2: reset the lights, the switch because of it, reset the clock.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Our our running joke is the power go out every day,
- 38:33Speaker 2: but it only stay out for about three minutes. That's
- 38:37Speaker 2: you know, but it's gonna go out so bad. But
- 38:39Speaker 2: I think everybody's just kind of saying because of the
- 38:42Speaker 2: And I thought that Bunny would surprise us and it
- 38:45Speaker 2: do maybe a song in English or too in English
- 38:49Speaker 2: to at least one he's made.
- 38:51Speaker 6: He's made a few appearances on Saturday Night Live. He
- 38:56Speaker 6: may say two or three words in English, because there's
- 39:01Speaker 6: one of the uh, one of the actors on s
- 39:04Speaker 6: n L. He does like all the since he is
- 39:09Speaker 6: fluid in Spanish, he does sketches that are all in Spanish.
- 39:14Speaker 6: And when bad Buddies been on there, the whole sketch
- 39:16Speaker 6: has been.
- 39:17Speaker 20: What did he say at the end when he said
- 39:19Speaker 20: all I heard the only thing I understood and went
- 39:21Speaker 20: to the end when he said trump?
- 39:22Speaker 5: And why is there always statement that has to be made?
- 39:28Speaker 5: Work on board with that?
- 39:31Speaker 20: Can we find Let's find out what he said that because,
- 39:34Speaker 20: like I said, the only thing I understood all night
- 39:35Speaker 20: when he said at the end.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Trump and I want if we'll be back more to
- 39:39Speaker 2: Sports Jock Show right after.

- 42:01Speaker 2: And now back to the sports John Wayne Yandy between between.
- 42:25Speaker 22: Logdone so you can see a sports joint. I'll sing even.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Janny, Welcome back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the
- 42:34Speaker 2: Sportshock Wayne Canny. Good morning to you out there and
- 42:37Speaker 2: this thing man, glad to be here with you. Kenneth
- 42:40Speaker 2: Walker the third is the MVP of the Super Bowl.
- 42:45Speaker 2: He'll be going to Disneyland with Sam Donald, which means
- 42:50Speaker 2: they've already made a deal with Sam Donald. As you know,
- 42:54Speaker 2: every award in football high school, college are all centered
- 43:01Speaker 2: around celebrating the quarterback. They make it to the point
- 43:07Speaker 2: that it's not even a secret everything. Every fan thinks
- 43:14Speaker 2: that whatever's wrong with their team starts with the quarterback
- 43:18Speaker 2: or the head coach. They sing this song to the
- 43:21Speaker 2: point Kenneth Walker. If Sam Donald had won the MVP,
- 43:28Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker would not have been invited. But some kind
- 43:33Speaker 2: of way it became a dual thing. And it just
- 43:35Speaker 2: shows you once again, as I continue to just throw
- 43:37Speaker 2: out there to you every award I fight on the
- 43:42Speaker 2: high school level, when I do Games of the Week,
- 43:44Speaker 2: I fight to give it to somebody other day, they're
- 43:46Speaker 2: just trying to find which quarterback on the winning team
- 43:53Speaker 2: to give it to. Like the other positions are not.
- 43:56Speaker 2: The Heisman been around eighty nine years. Two defensive people
- 44:03Speaker 2: who have ever won it, and they had to go
- 44:05Speaker 2: do something on offense to get that Travis Hunter, Charles Woodson.
- 44:10Speaker 2: They had to go return some punts or play some
- 44:12Speaker 2: receiver or something to add on to as though you
- 44:16Speaker 2: can't be the best player in college on defense, I
- 44:22Speaker 2: got to go do some other stuff. And the same
- 44:25Speaker 2: thing in the PROS MVP award or quarterback and a
- 44:29Speaker 2: running back. Every year it just sets up like that.
- 44:33Speaker 2: So it's just a discredit if they ken because first
- 44:37Speaker 2: of all, The MVP of the game was the defense. Dominance.
- 44:43Speaker 2: They called itself the dark Side. It was dark last night.
- 44:47Speaker 2: I want nowhere to throw the ball, and when you
- 44:50Speaker 2: did get a catch, he was getting tackled. It was
- 44:53Speaker 2: just that kind of game. But instead of just giving
- 44:56Speaker 2: it to the defense, they found an offensive player. No,
- 45:02Speaker 2: no knock on Kenneth Walker. I'm just saying because he
- 45:05Speaker 2: ran in the second MVB was the offensive line. Did
- 45:10Speaker 2: you see this man tap? He was waiting to see
- 45:14Speaker 2: where the whole he was looking like Levy Unbail. He
- 45:17Speaker 2: would get the ball, run up about three yards and
- 45:20Speaker 2: stand there for about two seconds and pick a hole.
- 45:27Speaker 2: That's how little penetration they wouldn't He was just standing
- 45:31Speaker 2: there with the ball. Okay, I'll go over here. Dominance
- 45:36Speaker 2: at the offensive line. But that's not that's not something
- 45:41Speaker 2: that's not sexy, as they call it in the production truck.
- 45:45Speaker 2: They're looking for the sexy. So I can't just say
- 45:48Speaker 2: MVP Super Bowl sixty the offensive line MVB. It's not
- 45:53Speaker 2: about the cost of the a trophy. But they could
- 45:55Speaker 2: tell the players they had they got to buy their
- 45:57Speaker 2: own trophy, and they would buy their own trophy. That
- 46:01Speaker 2: says their name and MVP and everything else, but it's
- 46:07Speaker 2: so sexy to give it to an offensive player, and
- 46:10Speaker 2: they're always trying to give it to a quarterback. One
- 46:13Speaker 2: conversation we were just having, why is you know, a
- 46:17Speaker 2: week after the Grammys, why these things become so political?
- 46:22Speaker 2: Like what are you trying to achieve? We got people
- 46:25Speaker 2: talking about indigenous land, got bad Bunny and Trump. I
- 46:30Speaker 2: don't know if you're trying to talk to the world,
- 46:32Speaker 2: but they don't vote here. They're definitely not going to
- 46:36Speaker 2: stop doing business with us. We are the world's economy
- 46:41Speaker 2: because we like to spend money. We have disposal We
- 46:46Speaker 2: spend money. I don't know that is even disposable. We
- 46:50Speaker 2: just like to spend.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Yeah, because a lot of people go into day and
- 46:53Speaker 5: when I say we, I'm talking about me.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Now, I'm not even talking about that. I'm talking about
- 46:58Speaker 2: you just living your life life, and all of us
- 47:01Speaker 2: got too many clothes, too way too many. All of us.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Other countries just don't believe you supposed to have fifteen
- 47:09Speaker 2: pair of pants And I'm well okay with raising my
- 47:15Speaker 2: hand fifteen pair of winter pants. So when I say we,
- 47:18Speaker 2: I just want to make sure I'm talking about we
- 47:21Speaker 2: all yes, yes, got ten pair of shoes. Yeah, yeah, No,
- 47:27Speaker 2: I'm just saying we all men other cultures even if
- 47:31Speaker 2: they have, they don't, they don't they get these two.
- 47:34Speaker 2: We wear them till they can't win, and they get
- 47:36Speaker 2: We want them all at once, one time. Got to
- 47:39Speaker 2: coordinate and that's how. That's the American way, that's the
- 47:42Speaker 2: American way. But we we go on these podiums, we
- 47:45Speaker 2: get in these games, and we make these announcements. Those
- 47:48Speaker 2: are the countries that are selling this stuff because American
- 47:51Speaker 2: about Americans, about any and everything.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Yeah, but we don't want to We don't want to
- 47:56Speaker 5: spend no time working to make it. Now I'm saying,
- 47:59Speaker 5: if we can get you to do that, when they
- 48:01Speaker 5: make me say who are we petitioning? Our conscience are listen.
- 48:07Speaker 5: And this is what I was asking, the question, why
- 48:10Speaker 5: has this all become so political when I kind of
- 48:14Speaker 5: feel like in my spirit Bad Bunny was used as
- 48:19Speaker 5: a stick to poker bear. America's right now in the
- 48:24Speaker 5: throes of immigration mania, and to capitalize on that, you
- 48:30Speaker 5: would place someone in a game that would incite some
- 48:35Speaker 5: of those feelings. Because it's all about the viewership, it's
- 48:39Speaker 5: all about the clicks and the likes. Everybody's been convinced
- 48:43Speaker 5: that all you have to do is tease the algorithm
- 48:46Speaker 5: and that makes you relevant.
- 48:48Speaker 2: So that's all that they're doing. I mean, no one.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Half the people who jumped up and danced for Bad
- 48:55Speaker 5: Bunny did so because they want you to know that
- 48:58Speaker 5: they're liberals. Not that they on his music, not that
- 49:01Speaker 5: they support him or even know who he was before this.
- 49:06Speaker 5: They just want you to know that they're liberal. All
- 49:08Speaker 5: of the people screaming I don't want to watch they
- 49:11Speaker 5: probably wouldn't have watched Usher either. You see what I'm saying.
- 49:15Speaker 5: They try trying to make it seem like it's just
- 49:18Speaker 5: Bad Bunny. You you tune out all the musical performances,
- 49:22Speaker 5: and so I think.
- 49:23Speaker 2: A lot of that is just to be well, I
- 49:25Speaker 2: just don't know why on these shows. And Greg, we're
- 49:28Speaker 2: talking because you said something about why they do it
- 49:31Speaker 2: a couple of minutes ago. I'm just trying to figure
- 49:33Speaker 2: out why we get to Saturday Night Live. I don't
- 49:40Speaker 2: think that's what he is, yeah, because I don't know
- 49:42Speaker 2: anything about Saturday Night Live. So he's back. Yeah, he
- 49:49Speaker 2: came back, and we'll be back with more to Sportshock Show.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Right after this, everybody in the neighborhood the Beaches owned
- 50:06Speaker 2: balloon something going Now, don't go away.

- 51:10Speaker 2: And now back to the sports job. Wayne yamby.
- 51:16Speaker 23: Center Court on sports news gossip blah blah blah blah blah.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Welc back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 51:47Speaker 2: Shock Wayne can In the Dark Side of Seattle Seahawks,
- 51:50Speaker 2: the defense winning Super Bowl sixty last night over the
- 51:55Speaker 2: New England Patriots twenty nine to thirteen. What was wrong
- 51:57Speaker 2: with the Patriots offense the Seattle defense. Don't don't, don't,
- 52:02Speaker 2: don't make it. Don't complicate your life today. Don't do
- 52:06Speaker 2: that to yourself. You're trying to buy the rhyme and
- 52:11Speaker 2: reason is them Hawks was hawking last night. They don't
- 52:15Speaker 2: need to go oh what Drake May didn't do this
- 52:17Speaker 2: and run. They weren't letting you do none of that,
- 52:21Speaker 2: Big Kenny. Last night, I got I got a question
- 52:25Speaker 2: for you. Go ahead, sir, because at some point, probably
- 52:29Speaker 2: midway late the third quarter, I saw some comments on
- 52:34Speaker 2: social media saying that, oh May Rabels should consider taking
- 52:39Speaker 2: out Drake May, like for what like what to put
- 52:43Speaker 2: in to put it up? Back up?
- 52:45Speaker 6: I didn't even know who the backup was. But okay, yeah,
- 52:49Speaker 6: things aren't going well, but not everyone can win. So
- 52:56Speaker 6: it's like, what can we say to people who who
- 53:00Speaker 6: come up with something like that, like, oh, they should
- 53:02Speaker 6: take out drink, mate, But what do we doing that for?
- 53:05Speaker 2: Well, what what Drake May gotta do?
- 53:08Speaker 24: Uh?
- 53:08Speaker 2: The corner came on, the safety blitz came right. They
- 53:11Speaker 2: did take time right, Stephan Undig did not cut the
- 53:15Speaker 2: route short sack sack. They blitzed from the other side
- 53:24Speaker 2: in the next drive, Hollins, did not you see this
- 53:29Speaker 2: dude coming right. It's a reason you're looking in. If
- 53:35Speaker 2: that guy blitzes, you gotta cut to another route. You
- 53:40Speaker 2: still running this deep post. You won't turn around before
- 53:45Speaker 2: he gets here, and all this go together. I mean,
- 53:49Speaker 2: but I'm sorry social media y'all. Y'all are such experts
- 53:53Speaker 2: to understand the person I'm post to throw the ball
- 53:57Speaker 2: to right did not react to this blitz?
- 54:03Speaker 5: Would you like last night even in slow well, when
- 54:07Speaker 5: they did it in slow motion was when you could
- 54:09Speaker 5: see it most clearly. A lot of NFL quarterbacks talk
- 54:14Speaker 5: about the three step drop, that one two three release
- 54:16Speaker 5: and and you.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Gotta be quick with that.
- 54:19Speaker 5: Last night, all I could see was Drake May getting
- 54:22Speaker 5: one and a half maybe two steps, and they were
- 54:27Speaker 5: right in his chest.
- 54:28Speaker 2: And I was like, this dude, he has to think
- 54:31Speaker 2: to himself, did they get faster?
- 54:34Speaker 5: What happened between the last game we played and now?
- 54:38Speaker 5: Because that and they were rushing only like four dudes,
- 54:42Speaker 5: and they.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Were still in his chest with a step and a half.
- 54:46Speaker 5: I saw one time he got two and a half
- 54:49Speaker 5: steps and they clabbered him. And I just knew at
- 54:52Speaker 5: this point it's gonna be hard to overcome that. And
- 54:55Speaker 5: like you say, this is their man, this is the
- 54:58Speaker 5: guy who can't get it done right now?
- 55:00Speaker 2: What is a backup going to help this in any capacity?
- 55:05Speaker 2: Twenty seven and forty three for two ninety five, two touchdowns,
- 55:08Speaker 2: two interceptions. He was sacked six times with Drake May.
- 55:11Speaker 2: If you go back to the Falcons playing against the
- 55:16Speaker 2: Patriots and the Patriots won that Super Bowl, there's a
- 55:20Speaker 2: dude named Brady who all of you keep calling the goat,
- 55:24Speaker 2: had the same kind of numbers. He just ended up
- 55:28Speaker 2: on the winning side. Tomdon won that game, but he
- 55:32Speaker 2: had about the same kind of game perform. He threw
- 55:36Speaker 2: the ball about sixty five times, and he was about
- 55:39Speaker 2: forty for sixty five. It was the same kind of
- 55:42Speaker 2: look in that game.
- 55:44Speaker 6: I think like two thirty of those of Drake May's
- 55:47Speaker 6: yards were in the fourth quarter right when it was
- 55:51Speaker 6: the same That's what I'm saying.
- 55:52Speaker 2: Tom Brady was the same thing. You look at the
- 55:54Speaker 2: yardage and what he was doing that was like after halftime,
- 56:00Speaker 2: he looked like you should have been on social media
- 56:01Speaker 2: to take him out too, right, right, yeah, in that
- 56:05Speaker 2: first So but Greg, one last thing before we go
- 56:11Speaker 2: to break. We were talking about the whole Grammy because
- 56:14Speaker 2: and the only reason it stood out that Kenny mentioned it.
- 56:16Speaker 2: But I do know I watched some of the Grammys.
- 56:19Speaker 2: There's a couple of performance I did, like I would
- 56:22Speaker 2: watch him, and then I watched super Bowl and all
- 56:25Speaker 2: this controversy. Why I have these things things that used
- 56:29Speaker 2: to really you thought of as music in sports moments
- 56:33Speaker 2: of times where we don't have to do that have
- 56:36Speaker 2: become exactly the opposite.
- 56:40Speaker 6: I think there are a lot of the artists or
- 56:44Speaker 6: or athletes are expected to say something.
- 56:49Speaker 2: I told it.
- 56:50Speaker 6: Like even going back to like pre pandemic or the
- 56:53Speaker 6: protests back then, a lot of people keep looking to
- 56:59Speaker 6: some form of celebrity to speak.
- 57:03Speaker 2: For them and like do the job of.
- 57:10Speaker 6: Bringing up bringing out some sort of change or some
- 57:14Speaker 6: sort of protest it's like, I want this person to
- 57:18Speaker 6: speak for me so I don't have to do anything.
- 57:20Speaker 6: And then when it comes across a something at the Grammys,
- 57:24Speaker 6: then Okay, these celebrities are saying something, but I don't
- 57:27Speaker 6: know if they're doing anything. So it's it's coming off
- 57:32Speaker 6: as performative and ultimately like meaningless, like what like, okay,
- 57:40Speaker 6: you could say f ice all you want, what.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Does that do well? And it seems like and it's
- 57:48Speaker 2: just my opinion.
- 57:49Speaker 5: A lot of this became popular when they started extending
- 57:54Speaker 5: the platform of sports to the massive Sports used to
- 57:58Speaker 5: just be for sports fans. Now they wanted to be
- 58:01Speaker 5: a family friendly event. And so if my grandmama and
- 58:04Speaker 5: my aunty and my uncle sitting here watching it with me,
- 58:07Speaker 5: then willed to most people what's important to them has
- 58:10Speaker 5: to be now important in sports. And it used to
- 58:13Speaker 5: be I didn't like none of these people before. But
- 58:15Speaker 5: we just came to watch the game. We didn't talk
- 58:17Speaker 5: about politics, and we just popped the brew and we
- 58:20Speaker 5: sat and we watched the game, and if our team won,
- 58:23Speaker 5: we was cool.
- 58:23Speaker 2: And tomorrow and then I go back to the South
- 58:26Speaker 2: Side did we didn't care what political party or who
- 58:30Speaker 2: voted for who.
- 58:30Speaker 5: We just we just I just want to I just
- 58:33Speaker 5: want the Bears to win. And then when the game
- 58:35Speaker 5: was over, he went back to the all Irish side
- 58:38Speaker 5: of Chicago, and I went back to the all black
- 58:40Speaker 5: side of Chicago, and we went right back to regular life.
- 58:43Speaker 5: And then on Bears Sunday, we's all in Soldier Field
- 58:47Speaker 5: and you, hey, what's going on?
- 58:48Speaker 2: Go Bears, And that's all that mattered in that moment.
- 58:52Speaker 2: We had. All we had to do was be Bear fans.
- 58:54Speaker 2: Bear fan.
- 58:55Speaker 5: I voted for Harold Washington and you probably know that,
- 58:58Speaker 5: and you voted for the actor, and I probably know that.
- 59:02Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. But today it's just go Bears.
- 59:05Speaker 5: Just go Bears today.
- 59:07Speaker 2: And that's what I said. With music and sports, those
- 59:09Speaker 2: are always been two catalysts of life that seemed to
- 59:12Speaker 2: brought people together for a moment where that doesn't really matter.
- 59:17Speaker 2: We just love you too. We don't who you married to.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Where are you doing that all that? You're a YouTube fan,
- 59:26Speaker 2: I'm a YouTube fan. When Jimmy Hendrick Riff come on,
- 59:28Speaker 2: everybody think heroin my thing.
- 59:31Speaker 20: If you want to be a celebrity, move away, If
- 59:35Speaker 20: you want to be an activist.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Now you're doing the whole magnet thing. Every time you
- 59:40Speaker 2: take the mic. You're never in the middle. You start
- 59:44Speaker 2: over there with turning point, telling people, with telling people saying.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Jim Brown done it. He he quit playing football.
- 59:52Speaker 20: He he went straight to policy, He went straight to
- 59:56Speaker 20: doing for the community.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Brown did. But you got to stay. Yeah, Jim Brown,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: the great, Jim Brock hammer and slammer, choke choker before
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: the game, choker after the game. Weed and I'll choke
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: the weed and we'll be They said, I used to
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: having a lot of the sixties. I don't know we'll
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: be back after this. We generations. You said, you just
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: wanted to.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Joe Boy, Wayne Board of the sports John Hill with
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: Wayne Gambias coming up next.
- 1:00:44Speaker 13: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:00:46Speaker 13: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:00:49Speaker 13: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:00:52Speaker 13: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own home.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: To me, were are your napkins?
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: Not that drawer Unless anyone needs a gun.
- 1:01:04Speaker 13: Now, I always lock my gun to keep everyone safe.

- 1:01:16Speaker 15: hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling cats while riding
- 1:01:19Speaker 15: the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, But guess what. That's exactly
- 1:01:24Speaker 15: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only
- 1:01:26Speaker 15: has the capacity to focus on one thing at a time.

- 1:01:40Speaker 10: AD Council.
- 1:01:51Speaker 25: Enough, I don't have any.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: And we hold the world ransom for.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: Excuse me while I whipped this out?
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: Should broadcasting Live and Atlanta, Georgia to this.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: This is a sports show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:02:10Speaker 18: You may.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Show come so far it comes to mine.
- 1:02:25Speaker 21: I'm doing.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you Welcome back
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sportshock Wayne Candy. Good
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: morning to you out there and listening land super Bowl sixty.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: In the book, the Seahawks dominant defensively over the Patriots.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: As I said there at the end, uh what was
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: wrong with the Patriots? Offense the Seattle defense. Sometimes it
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: is just what it is. There is no rhyme or reason.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: There is no the Patriots should have done this. The
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Perry Patriots offense as a team needed to play better,
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: and they just did not. It's no, it's just I'm sorry.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: I'm sorry out there. If you've never been out there,
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: you don't get it. You're actually better than this guy
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: across from you. But to night man, he humming. He
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: he's bringing me to some of that parliament funkadelic to
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: my chest, and I can't seem to get him. I
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: don't know what what, I don't know if his mom
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: might have called, I don't know what. But the night
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: he puts some stinking can't seem to get him out
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: of my chest. And that's really a thing. I can't
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: get away from a receiver. For some reason, he just
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: zip locked me tonight. I mean he's just right there.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Every time I turn, he's standing there too. And it
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: could be whatever motivate he got some good news, like
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: it's maybe having a kid, or he got a two
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: hundred thousand dollars bon it. Hey man, you know you
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: get you one more interception that two million dollars to
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: what how many? Yeah, all I wanted twenty five. Remember
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: your agent wrote that in there six interceptions on the season,
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: two million dollars.
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: Two million dollars, and this counts. Yeah, even in the
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: Super Bowl. I need one more tonight. Ah, this might
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: be a passing affairs, it might be a passing, a
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: fans play.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I'm tipping that line that raised the line between interception
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: and pass and appearance because I'm gonna get this two
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: million dollars. You gotta have it. I didn't already picked
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: out what I'm gonna buy with it. And that's really
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: a thing. You don't know what that motivation sometimes or why.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: But I do know last night the best of what
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: Seattle does beat the best of what the Patriots do.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: And that's just sometime. I know. For the next couple
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: of days, the analysts are gonna try to make you
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: think it's some you know, mysticol retrograde, a black hole
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: behind you know, Pluto is pulling. It's just the Seahawks.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: It's not deep, just football decided to go to the
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: dog side. They might have. You know, I don't know
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: what they've been doing all week. They had they had
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: the top scoring defense in the League.
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: Yes, and then they allowed they were allowing eight points
- 1:05:20Speaker 6: a game in the playoffs, so.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: They were doing something right, like it's that's what I'm saying.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: The eighty five Bears. It wasn't you don't go home
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: feeling bad about yourself. It was to you it was
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: what they do. You weren't there the doll man let
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: your boy man. You couldn't today. Yeah, yeah, you that's
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: too more than anybody else. And that's how you had
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: to accept some things. Jordan giving you sixty is not necessarily.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: You don't have to take that personal.
- 1:05:53Speaker 26: Right.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Everybody got did last night in Detroit too. Don't take
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: it personal sometimes. Now you can take it personal if
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: you know you haven't ran your miles and done the
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: things you needed to. You partied all that's when you
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: can take. But you can't take sometimes. You you showed
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: up Brandy slip eleven hours sleep right now he's still
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: and Jack still will dunk on you. You did everything
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: coach told you that the full on your feet set
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: and then he still did that spind thing and boom
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: and you knew he was. Yeah, you watch it on
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: tape in the locker room right before you came out.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: It was the same move we had just discussed. No,
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: you got to hold that right on right there and
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: planting that left foot.
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: There, keep your feet moving because right there, right there,
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: right there, right there, boom, coach. Now you're looking at
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: your coach, the bitch as you're running back. Yeah, what next?
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: What I did? I did the hard thing. I had
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: my foot in the right place.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: And he's just giving you that.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Just just play hard, just play keep, just keep it,
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: just keep had a champion. Can you say we had
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: a couple of online company Oh yeah, we had a
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: couple of online comments from our loyal online listeners. This
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: morning we have mister Eric Badgett said that you should
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: take the politics out of the game so people can
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: enjoy the game. Football is played on the field, not
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: on Capitol Hill. Keep the activities in their lane. And
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: whenever the officials yell start the game, they don't mean
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: start the debate. So, uh, that's I would imagine another
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: sports fan and again some of this, Should we and
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: you talked about being locked in that mindset? Should we
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: as sports fans stop wondering why they do this and
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: just accept that it's a part of the expansion of
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: the sport.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: No, because we do have a voice collectively to try
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: to you know, people are pushing for the Pro Bowl
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: to end the all you see game. The All Star
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Game is fading a lot of that why because the
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: access to the players used to come in those events.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: And now by the fourth game of the season in
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: any sport, somebody already has put out a six part
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: documentary for you to watch. Did you see the Pro Bowl? No?
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Did you see any of the Pro Bowl? No? Let
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: me let me give you a replay.
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: Saturday, we get together at Petemont Park where your baseball
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: had turned backwards, put on some shorts and T shirt,
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: bring a cooler full of brew.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: That's what the Pro Bowl looked like. That's what it was.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: The last play of the Pro Bowl. I did not.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: I did not. They ran. It's flag football, coric flag foot.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: It's flag football with people like Dak Prescott running off
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: the sidelines to get involved in plays that he ain't
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: even playing.
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: The last play of the Pro Bowl was a tush
- 1:08:59Speaker 6: push play. You have to be they don't have pads.
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: They didn't, they did not.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: They did. They had on baseball caps turned backwards and
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: they think about they've they've they've gone from Hawaii to Arizona,
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: Arizona to Miami Orlando now like in the same city.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: Now they've actually moved it to the super Bowl city
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: during the Super Bowl.
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: Week and I don't even know where that. I was
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: there and I don't even know where that was where,
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: Like is that A is that?
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: And I say that because even with all of Major
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: League Baseball trying to get excitement, they've they've had like
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: whoever wins get home field advantage in the World Series.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: The NBA has gone through the whole. They don't know
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: how to do there.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: And that was the second part of what I was
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: going to ad ask about the bad bunny thing. We
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: see these events because of what a lot of people
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: consider to be overexposure, dwindling in their popularity and their
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: ability to get that market share on the night when
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: you most needed. I don't need you to watch the
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: replay of the Super Bowl. I need you to tune
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: in during the live broadcast. And if I have to
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: be controversial to do it, that's what I'm going to
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: do because everything else is suffering from viewership, specifically because
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: of what you say it. I don't have to watch
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: my team on game night anymore. On the big game night,
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: I could tune in and why and stream them twenty four.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: Hours a day.
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: You give me access to his breakfast routine. I didn't
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: want to see this man scramble eggs. I just want
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: to see him play the game. But now I'm watching
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: him make a granola smoothie and you just, ah, man,
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: I'm good, especially when your team gets out.
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: But now it gets support where like these says, there's
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: so much access now that athlete or that that musician
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: or whoever has to do or say something to keep
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: your attention, and it's gonna go outside of that lane.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: That the commonery was talking about.
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: So it's it's kind of like how you anyone who's
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: on YouTube see the guys who do like these prank
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: videos or these these joking videos, and now they start
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: doing they have to raise the stakes or they're doing
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: more and more dangerous or ridiculous stuts to keep your
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: attention and the attention itself.
- 1:11:37Speaker 20: Then Johnny KNOXVI will do that twenty years ago what
- 1:11:39Speaker 20: I'm saying, but then he used to.
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: Now the attention a full view on social media is
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: like thirty seconds. Like you could put up a three
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: minute video and if someone watches it for thirty seconds,
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: they considered that a full view because the attention span
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: is only about thirty seconds, so if you can hold
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: them that long.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: It's been sort of like that.
- 1:12:03Speaker 20: Even with the music, you only need so many seconds
- 1:12:06Speaker 20: to get the BDS with meaning, to get your charted,
- 1:12:09Speaker 20: to get you paid, get the spend counted.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: You don't have to have the whole song played. And
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: that just.
- 1:12:14Speaker 20: Goes to the fact that I don't think real fans
- 1:12:17Speaker 20: are consuming anymore.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: Kyle Williams, the Patriot Receiver last night, had to tackle
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: a streaker who ran on the field. I have been
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: pleadings I know since we've been on this show. I'm Congress,
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: make it a federal charge minimum a year in jail,
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: regardless of the reason. There is no reason. I don't
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: care if you're off, you're mad, I don't care if
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: you're drunk. If you run out on this field, you
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: have to spend a year. You can nip certain things
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: in the bud real quick. Trust me. These people aut
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: here thinking it's gonna be some kind of a little fine.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Maybe they might have to drive by a firehouse and
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: help out for a day. But I'm gonna get my minute.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: I believe that a guarantee. Yere in jail, Big Kenney,
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: not no nine months, no plea deal?
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: Can we add more time if we find out like
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: the one and.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: If they bet on themselves.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: That's why I said, just just for premeditated, Yes, that's all.
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: That's premeditated. That's a premeditated crime.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: Yea. If I find out for it is some for game,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: I definitely, oh yeah, enhanced penalty in hands. But I
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: just you know, just another streaker because you have decided
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: that you okay paying the fine. They're not gonna do
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: anything to me. And that what most people do things.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: They figure out what.
- 1:13:55Speaker 20: You gotta know, what the crime, You gotta know what
- 1:13:58Speaker 20: comes with the time and with everything for.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: You do it. Yeah, some people, that's I'm saying, These
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: people that will do this whatever. This guy talking about
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: trade in the blind Spot, I don't know what he
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: was talking what he had on his chest as he
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: ran on the field. I guess he's talking to Greg.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: But I like Coyle Williams in the dark well, I
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: like I like to Conrad in the blind Spot. Do
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: you know y'all talked in the dark Web? Look at
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: him playing like the coade has been activated in his brain,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: some kind of new crypto. We'll be back to Sports
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Jock Show after this. Don't go awayne Board.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: Of the Sports John Show with Wayne Gamdidias coming up next.
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance. Three
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: life insurance.
- 1:15:12Speaker 25: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:15:14Speaker 25: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:15:16Speaker 25: forever life insurance.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:15:22Speaker 25: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:15:24Speaker 25: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will

- 1:15:37Speaker 25: leave my family with bills or benefits.

- 1:19:59Speaker 2: old from black And what was the other show she
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: had when she started? Grownish is twenty six. Lord Dern
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: is fifty nine, great actress. Who else do we have here?
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Robert Wagner is still alive. For all our mothers and
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: grandmothers out there. Heart to Heart and that's the only
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: reason I Jonathan Jonathan Hart is Hello. Loud is ninety
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: six years old. Now wow, if you're under the age
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: of fifty, you won't really know. But Heart to Heart
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: was the show like in the early eighties. Robert Wagner,
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: as you can tell, was fifty five. Then he's ninety six.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Now is Robert wagon I'm from n cis Oh was he?
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: He was on there? Yeah?
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: He played Tony Tony's dad and they look very much alike.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I'm there. Robert Wagner. Wow, Ty Low fifty
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: two years old, Darryl Moose Johnson is sixty, Josh Rosen
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: twenty nine, John Caliperi is sixty seven. Greg Norman the
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Shark is seventy one, and Lexi Thompson is thirty one
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: and the bad producer was talking about the lbch lp
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: ga ga, and I was trying to tell him because
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: he was trying to relate it towards the bad Bunny
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: and the language barrier because so many on that tour,
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: a lot of Asians, the dominance, their dominance in that.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: And I told him it's a difference between being selected
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: and then I'm talking because I beat you. Because when
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: I beat you, I get to talk in whatever language
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: I choose to. I could show you that I'm molti
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: anything because I won, so whatever I want to go
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: to the podium and pull out and say, let me
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: do that, right, I can be all anything. If you
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: would like to speak whatever language you speak, beat me,
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: then that's different than being selected right to speak to
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: speak because he you know, he feels like some of
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: the tour may be falling off, but that might just
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: be in I didn't never really think they had a
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: lot of momentum anyway. I think they did it with
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: at Onnica saur stand.
- 1:22:34Speaker 20: They when at the time when Tiger was really in
- 1:22:36Speaker 20: the end, you had that going and then you had
- 1:22:39Speaker 20: the women with Anakasaurus stand and a couple other then
- 1:22:43Speaker 20: just that.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: But remember you're a golfer, So even with you rallying
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: off those names, that's you speaking golf. I mean it
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: was at that point in time.
- 1:22:56Speaker 20: If you if you look at tennis, you know there's
- 1:22:58Speaker 20: a sum that stick out.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: No, tennis and the l P g A are not
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: on the same level of notoriety.
- 1:23:10Speaker 27: M hm.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: You bring the best golf legend and put her on camera,
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: and then I bring in Serena and who do people know? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: be honest about it. Yeah, I bring cocoa golf in.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: Everybody the New age is gonna know. Ask them do
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: they know? Uh? Uh uh? You don't even know Chris.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: You don't even know Chris, Hey, don't don't my clock? Yeah,
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: they're gonna they know she was married to who Greg
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Norman at one time. They're gonna know Chris Everett over
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: anyone that you bring because I don't don't. I don't
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: this world wide though, bad producer. You keep using yourself
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: Big Kenny mother wasn't even recognized. Okay, you think your
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: mom know who he's talking about. I don't know who
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: the hell he talking about.
- 1:24:12Speaker 27: Big.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: You're clocking in with the one I didn't know. I
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: was supposed to.
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: I didn't know. I wanted to clock ain't on it.
- 1:24:18Speaker 5: Two I saw who she was, Elizabeth Banks. Okay, okay,
- 1:24:21Speaker 5: I've been I've been missing alcohol whole Super Bowl weekend. Elizabeth,
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: you get your trophy. And she was actually part of
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: the coverage. I guess you must have a new Hunger
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: Games coming. Most Valuable Player.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: She's She's the host that introduces at the Hunger Game movie.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: She's the person who comes out and picks the names.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: If you have watched she got on the makeup and
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: the big hair and stuff. We'll be back the more
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: of the Sports Shock Show right after this.
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: Joe bow Away, or of the Sports Josh Show with
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: Wayne Gandy. Yes coming up next.

- 1:25:17Speaker 16: Okay, Mom's wisdom has served you well, but now it
- 1:25:21Speaker 16: may be your turn to guide her.
- 1:25:23Speaker 17: Hey, I'm worried about Mom.
- 1:25:25Speaker 13: She keeps forgetting her famous sweet potato pie recipe.
- 1:25:28Speaker 17: Some things come with it, says, and some don't.
- 1:25:31Speaker 16: Knowing the early signs of Alzheimer's and a left one
- 1:25:33Speaker 16: will help you make the best decisions for your family.
- 1:25:36Speaker 16: Visit ten signs dot org to learn the signs brought
- 1:25:39Speaker 16: to you by the Alzheimer's Association and the AD Council.

- 1:26:03Speaker 10: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the
- 1:26:06Speaker 10: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project yellow Light and the
- 1:26:10Speaker 10: AD Council.
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne Gandy Player's Lounge.
- 1:26:23Speaker 23: You've have been given full access to the players lounge
- 1:26:26Speaker 23: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: Let's go, let's.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: A turn of the back. Is Welcome back to the
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Kandy. Uh
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: that Detroit fan from months ago? He will be suing
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: DK Metcalf of the Stealers. I remember the Steelers was
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: playing Detroit. K got suspended for two games. Unfortunately DK
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: then I don't think he would get one hundred million.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: But obviously with the suspension of the NFL, that case
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: is closed. What else would the prosecution need? He was wrong?
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: Your own lead suspended you in that opening shut What
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: what is your defense, sir? If you could come up
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: what one? What would DK's defense be? When the NFL
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: deemed that for two games and about a half million
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: dollars you were guilty. He didn't make contact.
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: No, I'm saying, though, I'm saying, but they said that
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: whatever you did was in a appropriate it was it
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: was whatever action you took was punishable by suspension and
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: fine the law in the NFL.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: So you broke the NFL law. And now in the.
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: Actual court of law in a civil because this was
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: against a private citizen, not someone in the inn, it's
- 1:28:27Speaker 5: a civil case. So it's a civil case. So now
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: someone who now the casino in Vegas say it's you cheat.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: He didn't make contact with him though, Okay, well I'm
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: saying here, so that adds it to he was just
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: being mean. Well, well, I'm saying, based on what you
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: just said, is why the system works the way that
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: it does, is someone is willing to go with. Your
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: whole defense will be that the pole didn't hit He didn't. Yeah,
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: did he? I didn't say it was gonna work. I
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: was gonna say, did he snatched the man over the rail?
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: And did we see it?
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: He did?
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: Was his feet dangling a little bit? I didn't get that. Yeah,
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: I didn't see that. Okay, I just know that your
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: own league suspended you for two games and two checks,
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: so you might be in a little trouble right there.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: Sounds like a settlement will be coming for DK. Michael
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: Irvin making light of the Paul George suspension. Speaking of suspension,
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: Paul George has been suspended. I think it was like
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: twenty five games from the NBA because he a drug infraction.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Michael Irvin says that he should have tried that because
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: Paul George said he was using the substance for his
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: mental health, and Mike feels like he wished he knew
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: that it's thirty years ago.
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: I was trying to figure out what it was because
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: the NBA doesn't that's for weed anymore cocaine, So it
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: was cocaine.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: That's like Irving's I'm just going with Mike because it
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: might know a little more than me about the subject.
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: Some stuff I debate, which I'm one of those people
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: I give people. I don't debate with people because I
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: tell people, you know, the analogy I give people Greg
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: because I end up in a lot of conversations with like,
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: let's say ladies, women and they like to debate me
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: about football. And I tell them that's like me debating
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: you about childbirth. Sexist, you sexist. How would I be
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: able to debate you about childbirth because something tells me
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: that reading a book and watching a video, it's a
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: whole nother story. Then the actual procedure that you go through.
- 1:31:01Speaker 6: That is that isy that you just described. Social media
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: right there. They watched that. They watched the video on YouTube,
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: and that makes him everything. They stayed at a holiday
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: in express. Ye put that garbage disposed of working now.
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: I watched the video in a nutshell.
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: Mike Irvans health, Mike, okay, for mental health reasons, you
- 1:31:29Speaker 6: got you gotta hold.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: I'm just saying, other city, we gotta we gotta drug drug.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: We got a drug expert. I'm about to say, you
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: have a tried cocaine, but health for nal health. I've
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: been knowing Big Kenny for a while. I barely know
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: Mike Irvan. I'm not sure that whatever Mike say, I
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: might have to take that over Big Kenny. Mike, Mike
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: seemed like a pH d type. Come on, man, Kenny
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: looked like he was just dabbling, just some giggles. Yeah,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: I was just squats and giggles. You see what I'm saying.
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: It was just it was just all adventure for me.
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: Mike Irving was found in a hotel room with a briefcase.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: But he needs to clear his you know what I'm saying.
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: People calm down different ways, Calm down different ways. Had
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: a briefcase, briefcase at a motel sick. I'm working through.
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: I'm working through prostitutes there in the cheeseburger and we
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: then all been in the motel six with some prostitutions
- 1:32:32Speaker 5: from cocaine and the cheeseburger.
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: But I have it in no briefcase. That's my point.
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: This man different. He was there for business. I was
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: just there recreationally working on his mental health. My stuff
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: in my pocket. This man had a whole briefcase. He
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: was there doing stuff mental health. He was making a joke.
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: Long story short, he was making a joke that Paul
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: George whole defense was the substance that he was using.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: Whatever that could be, it's for its mental health. I
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: thought it was a scripted drug. Like I do know
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: as a firsthand you can go get that from legally,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: from the doctor of the team. If that's what's going on.
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: When when you were in sports. You don't go to
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: the pharmacy. You just go to when the doctor comes.
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: He comes like three days a week, right, and he
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: gives you they had a whole cabinet full of drugs
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: already in the locker room. Not like he give writes
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: you a prescription and you go up to Walgreens. He
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: just gives you a bottle of They don't even count.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: They just fill the bottle up and give it to you,
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: no label and just tell you you gotta remember now
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: to a day. They don't have his no wrapping on
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: the bottle. It's just a bottle and to a day,
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: a man. So if Paul George, if Paul George needed that, right,
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: he didn't have to go, Hey, doc, I was.
- 1:34:02Speaker 5: I was wondering if I could, Uh, Paul, I need
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: I need some milim of them pills man, from my
- 1:34:11Speaker 5: uh from my PG Paul my mental health, man, my
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: mental health. Huh what are we in practice? Y'all gotta
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: practice today? No man at the Chili's down the street, that's.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: The name of the arena, him a prescription piece. I
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: just wanted to put y'all on that, like, you know,
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: so right, So if it was something you really needed.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: You would have never it would have never shown.
- 1:34:40Speaker 6: Up on a test, even if it's banned, like technically
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: banned by the league.
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: They wouldn't have anything bad. Not gonna have nothing in
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: the locker room band by the league. They gonna have
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: I don't. I don't think he got it from the
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: hell he got. No, I'm defunking his case. His case,
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Whatever I would have needed for
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: my mental it wouldn't right. It wouldn't have been banned.
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: So for it from doctor seventy six, and he would
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: have already known I.
- 1:35:09Speaker 26: Was on it.
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: Hey, doc, doctor would not have given him something that's
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: actually banned now.
- 1:35:14Speaker 20: No, No, doesn't make it until the he was gonna
- 1:35:17Speaker 20: give him something strong enough to what he needed to
- 1:35:20Speaker 20: put him there right to help his mental health.
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: All right, I agree with you. It was it's okay,
- 1:35:26Speaker 2: gotta be gotta be cold or Kennedy. It's just like
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: if you know, say it's Friday, we're not going to
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: go back into Monday. I had get the cold, Christine.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: I take the day quill and tell him I've been
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: taking the day quill on Monday. I just walk in there.
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: They write it down. So now I'm not on the
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: hook if this day field pops up.
- 1:35:51Speaker 5: So if I give you whatever you say it for
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: your mental health and it shows up on the drug test,
- 1:35:56Speaker 5: we know he's on zen X.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: We know he's on whatever it is you say. It
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: could have been ketaminet drug.
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: We gave that to him. But for it to be
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: on some hey man, we need to talk to you.
- 1:36:10Speaker 5: Then you getting it somewhere outside of the team and
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: it's something that's.
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: Which they're going to be mad at. Anyway, you can
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: you know whether it shows if something shows in you,
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: regardless of you get suspended by the league, the team
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: has the ability to suspend you whatever they want to.
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: It's like getting hurt playing another sport, riding the motorcycle.
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: GUIDs of lies Bret Boone or the Yankees Live Jason Williams, Yeah, somebody.
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: I think for Portland. They were playing basketball and tried
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: to come in and say something about slipping in the
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: shower and they found out it was some kind of
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: little story where because you're not supposed to mostly they
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: make you sign when you sign your contract you have
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: limits of activities.
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: Famously, I remember as Kellen Winslow Junior was riding a
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: motorcycle or something and injured himself and the Browns were
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: going to nullifias contract.
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: Anthony Davis traded from the MAVs to the Wizards. Looks
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: like he's still not going to play the rest of
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: this year. I feel sad for ad. I feel sad
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: for all the big guys. I was telling somebody the
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: one thing with the whole pressure of being one and
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: done this last twenty five thirty year era of player.
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: By doing that, We've talked about it before, they skip
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: the ability of getting their bodies strong enough to endure.
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: And he's just one of them. Even the ones that
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: still are able to play, you always see them managing
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: to get game to games something about because they never
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: got there. They were not as durable as the Tim
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: Duncan Shaquill O'Neill era. Those guys they rarely because they
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: went to Cottage.
- 1:37:57Speaker 5: For three four years and up and the trainers had
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: them building those muscles.
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: But to jump from eighteen because what is it as
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: we go to break high school plays? What about thirty games? Yes?
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: And then so I'm gonna do thirty games this year,
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: and then I'm gonna do eighty two regular next year
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: against bigger, stronger people. And I have spent no time
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: actually getting myself.
- 1:38:23Speaker 6: The last year, your senior year of high school, that
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: what year of college is probably total.
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: Sixty five games, and now you doing all that.
- 1:38:35Speaker 27: Uh.
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: And that's why I said, you can easily find the
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: same those guys from the eighties and early nineties that
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: went three four years that were dominant compared to this
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: new era where we just skipped or we go one
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: and done. They're always the Jolo beebs. And you know,
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: there's just a list, and there's more on the big men. Yeah,
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: the power Forwards and Sinners, the zion Waims. But you've
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: just never gotten them sent Davis. Yeah, in condition. We'll
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: be back more to Sports Shock Show right after this.
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: This one is a.
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: Wash.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: The last one.
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: Jn't bowl Wayne Or of the Sports Jos Show with

- 1:41:17Speaker 22: Between log an say you can see the sports joint,
- 1:41:32Speaker 22: I'll sing even Johnny Way, back.
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: To the Sports Shock Show, the Sports Shock Wing KND.
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: Former Dodger star y'all c L. Puigue convicted of federal
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: charges in sports betting case. Uh not a surprise after
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: the colorful career Pete he had for the Dodgers, and
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: he went somewhere else, didn't he? I played for the
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: Guardians for a season. Were there the Guardians when he
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: played there?
- 1:42:02Speaker 27: Or what?
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: They're the Indians?
- 1:42:03Speaker 5: They're the Guardians. Okay, so he is betting, you said,
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: what was he betting? He was betting on baseball. But
- 1:42:13Speaker 5: he lied about it. They came to him like, hey,
- 1:42:16Speaker 5: look I see you can tell us what's going on.
- 1:42:18Speaker 5: This was case twenty seventeen. And they was like, you know,
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: we got everybody else and they're telling us. And he
- 1:42:23Speaker 5: was like, no, I'm do that, and they find out
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: he did, and the guardian he's facing twenty years.
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: The guardians have that picture now say yeah, yeah, he's
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: under indictment for betting on multiple games or multiple pitches
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: or something. Yeah, like the he comes into betting on
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: the first pitch. Yeah he was betting. Yeah yeah.
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: And now again, each time I've run into one of
- 1:42:55Speaker 5: these cases, two things strike me. One, the level of
- 1:43:00Speaker 5: player involved. This isn't just some guy that they got
- 1:43:05Speaker 5: from some farm league team. The second part of it
- 1:43:11Speaker 5: is that even after finding out that the game is
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: wrought with people inside the game fixing it and betting
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: and all of that, people are still willing to place
- 1:43:24Speaker 5: a wager on professional sport. You willing to go to somebody,
- 1:43:31Speaker 5: go on an app and put your hard earned money
- 1:43:34Speaker 5: up on something that people have proven time and time
- 1:43:37Speaker 5: again is in the end been rigged. And that amazes me.
- 1:43:42Speaker 5: Gamblers gambled, Gamblers gamble.
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: That's what they do.
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: Get it's what they told it's what they do, and
- 1:43:51Speaker 5: and you'll find something to wager on. If that's what
- 1:43:54Speaker 5: you do, you'll find something to wager on. It's just
- 1:43:57Speaker 5: that now you really really gambling.
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: They were you were right.
- 1:44:01Speaker 20: They were actually still the Indians when he was playing
- 1:44:04Speaker 20: with Oh, okay, because I know that was a little
- 1:44:06Speaker 20: while ago.
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: Lindsey Vaughan in the Olympics made it safely down. Remember
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: about ten days ago Lindsay had a bad fall where
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: she tore her ACL. She was able to rehab for
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: a week get back in at least to make the Olympics.
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: Very surprising that the Olympic body was allowed. Ah, thank you,
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: sports jock, because to have you have you ever torn
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: a a cl No? No, no, oh I have in
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: my fourteenth year, I told my a cl in Tennessee
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: and the Titans about week seven, very surprised. Here's the
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: thing about a cl It makes you think that there's
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: nothing wrong because it's the middle ligament. See when it's
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: one of the outside, you can quickly see the unstableness
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: of it. The ACL even though it's stronger, it's more
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: in the middle of your nique. You can walk straight.
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: So you get me to the locker room. I'm upset.
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: I'm telling them brace me. Now. Imagine until this point
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: in my career, seventh game, fourteenth year of the NFL.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: From eighth grade until fourteen year, seventh game. I had
- 1:45:47Speaker 2: only missed one game of football from thirteen to thirty seven,
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: Nerdr God is good. Yes he is, Yes he is,
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: he is good from eighth grade football to the fourteenth year.
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: And I told I had missed one football game. I'm
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: in there like Lindsey because I can't accept you're in denial.
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: You told me to stand up. I stood up. He
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: told me the squat. I squat. Brace it up. Let's go.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: We got a game to win. Okay, Wayne, We'll let
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: you play. Shuffle to that wall. What you mean, shuffle like,
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: shuffle to the side to that wall.
- 1:46:42Speaker 23: Side?
- 1:46:45Speaker 2: Hell me, jesus, slide Paul, Oh, jess Lord, hell me jesus.
- 1:46:52Speaker 2: I'm still falling low. Oh what do you do on
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: the field? Wayne? Shuffle you scheff f Is that what
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: offensive lineman do? They shuffle outside? Yep, shuffle to the
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: left and bringing on back. And he's right, But no,
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: brace it up, take it up, sports job. It don't
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: work that way.
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: The first thing that I said. I watched the report.
- 1:47:19Speaker 5: Lindsey Vaughn has an accident during the trials. She says
- 1:47:24Speaker 5: she's going to try and ski and then when they
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: said she's actually going The first thing I said is
- 1:47:30Speaker 5: I'm amazed at the Olympic Body allowed the American Olympic
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: Body allowed her to get out there like that. Now
- 1:47:37Speaker 5: had it been too now, no, you know, had it
- 1:47:40Speaker 5: been the NFL, the NBA, people would be screaming, why
- 1:47:45Speaker 5: are you putting them in danger?
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: You're endangering their career. And I must the Olympic, which
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: is is a worldwide organization, they must have the latitude
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: that you can sign a waiver. The doctors in the US,
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: the NFL are not going to do. They're what you
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: sending them. Chris Bosh, you can pull up the top
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: ten lawyers in the world. They are not going to
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: sign this sheet you allow you to go, because if
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: they did and that happened, you would own one of
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: the teams. You could sit in Matt like in there,
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: like your honor. He said, he wonted to play. They
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: don't let you do that. So I was from that
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: because sometimes, as they say, you do have to save
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: the athlete from themselves sometimes, And Lindsey had done all
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: that work to get there, to get back, and I
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: thought she was just going to try to get down
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: the hill once for her advertisers. When she made that
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: first run, I was like, who and you could tell
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: then she knows. She's beautiful, one of the best that's
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: ever done it. You can't trust her. She knows how
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: to skate on one leg. Don't let her fool you.
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: And that's kind of how she went down that hill,
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: Like do you understand her whole race? What it's like
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: two twenty five hundred meters You're not good. You have
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: to be going down a hill.
- 1:49:04Speaker 5: At eighty miles's twenty five hundred meters about eighty two
- 1:49:08Speaker 5: eighty five a mile like a mile or whatever.
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: The five hundred meters is a mile? Yeah, something like that,
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: a mile and a half mile and a half at
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: a what is that fifteen percent grade? Something like that?
- 1:49:21Speaker 2: It's almost you know, and you she says, they do
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: about eighty two miles an hour. Last report as we
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: go to break, they did say she was stable, but
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: she did when she fail, I think she hit her
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: head but hopefully she's okay. So she fell again because
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: yeah's today I missed that. Yeah she fell doing the
- 1:49:39Speaker 2: official Olympics on her second run, I think yeah, because
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: she made she made it through the first one. See
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: I saw that part and then I was on the
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: road and missed the rest of it. But that was
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: the first thing I asked, is why would they let
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: her do that? Obviously the outrage isn't present. And as
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: I said, the Olympic midy had, they don't really answer
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: to anybody. Yeah, they can make rules up as they
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: choose to because they don't have.
- 1:50:07Speaker 5: And I was about to saying that's why they always
- 1:50:09Speaker 5: been accused of corruption.
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: We'll be back right after this. Don't go Away board
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne gam videos coming.
- 1:50:34Speaker 27: Up next, But I smoke with I get lost in
- 1:50:40Speaker 27: the music. I'd like to isolate each instrument, the rhythmic bags,
- 1:50:45Speaker 27: the harmonies on the piano, sticky melody.
- 1:50:52Speaker 17: Than he careful bad.
- 1:50:54Speaker 12: There's someone crossing the streets.
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: Sorry I didn't see there. If you feel different, different,
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: don't drive high. It's dangerous and illegal everywhere. A message
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: from NITZA and the AD Council.
- 1:51:08Speaker 18: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 1:51:11Speaker 18: using their typewriters. Why should it be any different for
- 1:51:15Speaker 18: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 1:51:18Speaker 18: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: Come on, we're smarter.
- 1:51:23Speaker 3: Than this.
- 1:51:24Speaker 18: Let's put down the phones and focus on the roads.
- 1:51:27Speaker 19: Drive safe, everybody, don't drive distracted. A message brought to
- 1:51:32Speaker 19: you by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project yellow
- 1:51:35Speaker 19: Light and the AD Council.
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy. Now
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: it's time for the school board.
- 1:51:47Speaker 23: When we put a spin on LFE and sports and
- 1:51:51Speaker 23: how they intermingled on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:01Speaker 14: I liked big butts and I can't lie you other
- 1:52:04Speaker 14: brothers tonight. Don't want to girl walks in with anybody
- 1:52:08Speaker 14: waits and around thing in your face.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: You get sprung.
- 1:52:11Speaker 14: Want to pull up top because you know what'sad but
- 1:52:12Speaker 14: was stuck deep and the genus's wearing.
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: I'm hooked and I can't stop staring.
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: I hold baby.
- 1:52:18Speaker 14: I want to get a wig chop and take your
- 1:52:20Speaker 14: big job my whole boys chop. Don't warn me with that,
- 1:52:23Speaker 14: but you got men.
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: Wait back to this boy shock show. I'm the sports
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: shock Wainge Candy. Good morning to you out there and listening,
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: laing glad to be here with you. What else we have?
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: James Harden traded from the Clippers to the Calves since
- 1:52:43Speaker 2: we last was on Chris Garland being sent from the
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: Calves to the Clippers. James Harden trying to make that
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: last little run here at the age of what thirty
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: six thirty seven years of age? Is James Harden hoping
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: that maybe connecting with the Cavaliers this year can get
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: him over the humph. What do you think of that?
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: That's my answer, that's my answers James Harden, doesn't I
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: think that James Harden is at a point if you're
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: getting him to come off the bench. It's great if
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: Cleveland would have kept the team and able to bring
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: him in, he come off the bench, because that's what
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: he is. That's where where he as far as trying
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: to make a championship, it's going to take him just
- 1:53:33Speaker 2: being an add on and not being the actual main
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: piece to the champions What.
- 1:53:39Speaker 20: Do you think about I want to ask you about
- 1:53:40Speaker 20: the when you mentioned Anthony Anthony Davis sort of like
- 1:53:45Speaker 20: you know, it's Hawks Fans Week, something that you wish
- 1:53:48Speaker 20: you could have something about two or three years ago.
- 1:53:51Speaker 20: But with both of them being out and getting healthy
- 1:53:54Speaker 20: in the in the cap room that the Wizards may
- 1:53:57Speaker 20: have that might turn out to be pretty good if
- 1:54:00Speaker 20: they can stay healthy.
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: That's a big if for a guy that has not
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: ever shown you. And when I'm speaking of because I'm
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: speaking of Anthony Davis, a guy that has never shown
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: you that he's gonna stay healthy. Even when you've sat
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: there and you know, oh, he's in the best shape
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: of his life, he still gets hurt. What do you
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: think about then, the pickups that we the Hawks have
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: on those acquisitions. I mean, I think the team is
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: going to be a little better. I think they can
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: get in the four or five spot for the playoffs. Well,
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: I think that Jalen Johnson there setting the format for
- 1:54:42Speaker 2: him and Risus shir who those are They're going to
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: be their two players. I think that's what made Trey
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: something that they can move on from, because you have
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: to sit there and identify who is who's backs. So
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: are we going to ride on? And I think those
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: two guys are the guys the Hawks have decided they're
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: going to take. That's why you see Jalen Johnson he
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: runs the point.
- 1:55:03Speaker 16: Now.
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: I went to the game the other night versus the Hornets.
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: He's the point guard. He's like a Scottie Pippen type
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: and he's doing it. He was like twenty eight eighty
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: nine or something the other night like so, and I
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: think that's what really was, you know, going to see
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: him and watching it and you start seeing like, oh,
- 1:55:22Speaker 2: that's what they decided. They decided to just go in
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: that direction, right for a couple of years. And one
- 1:55:30Speaker 2: I gotta give it to he's a baller. So Russell
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: Wilson wants you all to know that he has nothing
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: to do with Jeffrey Epstein. So everybody just like everybody
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: would did he everybody knows Jeffrey Epstein, and they were
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: the party. Jeffrey Epstein shaped up to be the party billionaire, right.
- 1:55:48Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and he would reach out from what I understand,
- 1:55:52Speaker 5: Jeffrey Epstein would reach out.
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: I'm saying the billionaire that likes to party. Yeah, now
- 1:55:57Speaker 2: something billionaires like to present them. What do you mean
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: it's it's not it's not party in the in the
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: the same sense that we would think of a party
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: is oh, the party starts out of the party.
- 1:56:13Speaker 20: We ain't talking about the debauchery after that because only
- 1:56:15Speaker 20: a lot certain people are allowed.
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: That's still part of the party.
- 1:56:18Speaker 28: Well no, wait a minute, let me say no, not
- 1:56:26Speaker 28: a part, because I've been to some parties, but been
- 1:56:29Speaker 28: Atlanta here right here, right here, Atlanta live.
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: Ye let me now, I only want the witness to
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: this from the standpoint I have party friends. There is
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: a phase one, two and three, thank you, so you
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: can go. And I brought this up because people and
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: Jeffrey Epstein deserves whatever fresh hell he's in. But in
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: a Russell Wilson case, what Russell is saying, I might
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: know this billionaire. The billionaire might mister Blank calls and say, hey,
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: come to the party. Now. I don't know about the
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: fifty Shades of Gray party later right that him and
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: Big Kenny have. And you just wandered Joe way down
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: into the basement, and like I was going, like like
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: a did he party?
- 1:57:18Speaker 10: You?
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: Everybody? Everybody's there, everybody with Russell Wilson.
- 1:57:22Speaker 6: It didn't even get that far because someone called him
- 1:57:27Speaker 6: about buying a plane and he didn't know the person,
- 1:57:32Speaker 6: but the person who called him was selling Jeffrey Epstein's
- 1:57:38Speaker 6: plane and he didn't buy. He didn't buy the plate
- 1:57:43Speaker 6: like someone randomly called him. So it wasn't even like
- 1:57:46Speaker 6: he's at an event or a party or anything. And
- 1:57:48Speaker 6: that's what and that's the part I'm trying to spell
- 1:57:51Speaker 6: out real quick before we go. Some of these people
- 1:57:55Speaker 6: are just known as party throwers. That doesn't mean that
- 1:57:59Speaker 6: you know their background, but everybody acts like you know
- 1:58:05Speaker 6: everything they were doing from the jump. Some people found
- 1:58:08Speaker 6: out whatever Diddy was doing when they got to the party,
- 1:58:12Speaker 6: or when we just found out a couple of years ago.
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't know. They went to many of his parties,
- 1:58:19Speaker 2: but people instantly, oh, man, you was at the White Party.
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: And no, that don't mean that I knew what was
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: going on. If I had known that, if everybody knew
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: what Jeffrey Epstein was doing, they wouldn't have went even
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: if that was their theme. Y'all too open with it.
- 1:58:42Speaker 5: I mean, I get down, but I didn't know that
- 1:58:44Speaker 5: y'all was talking about it in other cities. On another level,
- 1:58:50Speaker 5: another level, Big Kenny, I thought you would be there.
- 1:58:52Speaker 5: I thought I would have been there.
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: I'm not about to give up Microsoft to hang with
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: you and some Uh No, I'm not coming to that coming.
- 1:58:59Speaker 2: And I know you call me because we might like
- 1:59:01Speaker 2: the same thing, but no, I'm not coming at billions.
- 1:59:04Speaker 2: I got billions, but I let me protect my co
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: as a he has party friends I'm that friend.
- 1:59:15Speaker 5: So I've been in places where people just showed up
- 1:59:19Speaker 5: to spectate and all of a sudden, like I said,
- 1:59:21Speaker 5: didn't wander down in the basement, across the backyard into
- 1:59:26Speaker 5: a building out bang, oh hey, hey, I didn't mean okay, Well,
- 1:59:30Speaker 5: you gotta leave because this is what's happening in here,
- 1:59:34Speaker 5: and if you're not with it, we don't need you galking.
- 1:59:36Speaker 5: And then because nobody knows this is happening, and except
- 1:59:39Speaker 5: for the people that do it.
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: And I'm the guy who just goes ahead on and
- 1:59:42Speaker 2: leave once that phase Big Kenny is never under pressure
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: to remove me. I just see, oh, phase two is
- 1:59:49Speaker 2: about to start. Time to go. And if you know me,
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: you guys, I got a signal. I just hit you
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: with the And I don't even say by to him, right,
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: we know he knows what he kneel long goodbye. I
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: give him. I give him the forward, not the peace,
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: I give him the backwards to that means phase two
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: is starting, and he just get his stuff because you know,
- 2:00:09Speaker 2: I was cool with the dold eggs and the alcohol
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: when the cocaine hit the table and and as he's
- 2:00:19Speaker 2: heading to his car, the prostitutes are passing him. He's
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: already like, we got some metal health issues that we
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: gotta go. Give us taste. I left chesse we are
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: in the ocean. Mhm. The truth is he will throw
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: your in the ocean.
- 2:00:36Speaker 23: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk
- 2:00:40Speaker 23: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: When you hit the signs of ocean gives to watch
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: out just a minute. To Vin, we'd like to thank
- 2:01:09Speaker 2: you for tuning in to today's show. Congratulations to the
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: Seattle Seahawks for the Super Bowl sixty victory. Big parade,
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: I'm quite sure going on this week. Command you. Greg McKinney,
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: bad producer, Thank you for your contributions today. If you
- 2:01:27Speaker 2: need to hear the replay of the show, please go
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: to Apple Podcast, Amazon Podcast, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Spotify and
- 2:01:37Speaker 2: catch the replay going into Ocean today. And usually, you know,
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: I go with the celebration and give the team the
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: honor of coming on the boat. But this is so
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: outrageous and they lost the game. Mac Holland of the paper,
- 2:02:02Speaker 2: known for not using utensils, not wearing shoes to the game,
- 2:02:06Speaker 2: you know, a little attention that's cool, showed up to
- 2:02:11Speaker 2: the game in a jail jumpsuit, handcuffs and shackles on
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: his ankle with a mask around his face. Not sure
- 2:02:26Speaker 2: what the Super Bowl had to do with looking like
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: you are Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs. But
- 2:02:36Speaker 2: mac Holland's trying to make a statement. My biggest question
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: is why Mike Rabel didn't put him off the bus
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: in the first place. But if you want some real attention,
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: mac holland, how about catching the game winning touchdown in
- 2:02:55Speaker 2: the Super Bowl. Everybody ill know your name then. But
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: dressing up like a clown, bounding your feet and risk
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: and showing up like a prisoner just as not something
- 2:03:13Speaker 2: I would have allowed as an owner of organization or
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: coach or even a teammate. This could have been a
- 2:03:19Speaker 2: fight on the bus over because you in eye mode,
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: not we mode. And for that, mc hollins fucked up,
- 2:03:32Speaker 2: Clank And for you out there, you coaches on any level,
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: look up, mac holland. This is what eye mode looks like.
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: And these are the little things that really keep you
- 2:03:53Speaker 2: from getting all over. You're in the room. You spent
- 2:03:56Speaker 2: the week worried about this costume instead of defeating somebody
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: on this rock. Everything everything, is he missed out? And
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: is he wearing a toll ring from the sports chalk?
- 2:04:11Speaker 2: Shall we hope you enjoy your rest of your afternoon peace,
