- 0:00Happy Saturday morning, everybody.
- 0:04Man, it rained hard last night. It rained so hard.
- 0:09Woke me up out of that bed. Bang, woke me up.
- 0:19I believe it's the first time in a long time that I've heard a
- 0:23good Thunder banger. Lots of rain, lots of rain.
- 0:27We will see. With all the snow melting and
- 0:30racing season around the corner, What tracks are going to be
- 0:34flooded? Who's going to start on time?
- 0:38Missy? January.
- 0:39It's only March, It's only March.
- 0:42We got a lot of time for everything to dry up around
- 0:45here. What is your dirt track and your
- 0:47weather look like? Respond right here.
- 0:52As you know, I'm always worried about our racetrack.
- 0:55Just 15 minutes from my house, I-55 Federated Auto Parts
- 1:02Raceway Park, right here in Pevely, Missouri.
- 1:06We got a Creek. We got a big Creek that runs by
- 1:09the racetrack. We'll get flooded every once in
- 1:12a while. Yes, in the history of I-55,
- 1:15we've had to shut down for a month when Kenny Schrader in the
- 1:19great Ray Marler on the racetrack had to shut down for a
- 1:22month. Does your dirt track have a
- 1:25Creek by it? Has your dirt track ever had to
- 1:28shut down because of flooding? What about the pictures down
- 1:32there at Paducah, KY? Wow.
- 1:36You know, in the past, not now. I'm just saying in the past.
- 1:40But boy, there have been some dirt tracks.
- 1:41You know, dirt tracks. Look for the cheapest land
- 1:44available. So sometimes these old dirt
- 1:46tracks, they get put by a Creek or a river and boy, you get some
- 1:53of those good rains and it it'll do you in for a little bit.
- 1:56So we're praying the Lord let's get this all dried up so we can
- 2:01go racing. OK, couple topics.
- 2:08Speaking of dirt racing, how about it for Donnie?
- 2:14Shots, shots, shots, shots, shots.
- 2:18Donnie Schatz, Man, oh man. There are World of Outlaw dirt
- 2:24Sprint car racers and then there there are the two respond right
- 2:28here. What do you think?
- 2:31There is the King Steve Kinzer, and then there's Donnie Schatz.
- 2:36Both these gentlemen have one. God, I've lost track.
- 2:40I think Kinzer had 15 championships as they now Donnie
- 2:45Schatz got you know, Kinzer was the king and I don't know why,
- 2:51but they call Donnie shots Don Don.
- 2:54What other what other nicknames does Donnie Shots have?
- 2:57Respond right here. Don Don sounds sounds silly to
- 3:03me, but anyway, Donnie shots back by popular demand on Friday
- 3:09night. I think he won down.
- 3:12I don't know where he won, but he won.
- 3:13And they said he sliced and diced.
- 3:15Look like the Donnie shots of the past through the middle of
- 3:18the, you know, carving spaces that nobody could do.
- 3:23I love Donnie's shots. So we're years ago.
- 3:26We're down in Ocala. And that was when I was young
- 3:31and still having a lot of fun. And Donnie came into the bar and
- 3:35I looked at Donnie's shots and I went.
- 3:37Shots, shots, shots, shots, shots.
- 3:41And to my surprise, Donnie just smiled.
- 3:44Donnie Schatz is a good guy. I like him a lot.
- 3:46So he won last night. And here's why it was a big
- 3:49deal. Because, you know, Donnie Schatz
- 3:53and Tony Stewart, they split up. And Donnie Schatz has had a long
- 3:58dry spell, hasn't won in a long time.
- 4:00What? Donnie wins last night.
- 4:03And there's a lot of emotional people out there.
- 4:06So happy days are here again. So congratulations to the great
- 4:11Donnie Schatz. They said he looked good.
- 4:14He looked good. OK, switching subjects, didn't
- 4:24really want to talk about this, but I thought, you know what,
- 4:27why not? I'm going to, I'm going to call
- 4:32this coffee with Kenny the wine line.
- 4:37So while I'm down in Daytona Beach, FL, Ormond Beach, Ormond
- 4:45Beach is right outside of Daytona, you know, I had a
- 4:48wonderful time at brother Rusty and nephew Stevens Southern
- 4:53country customs and I, I love everybody, but this is no doubt
- 4:59what I'm going to say. Every single old man.
- 5:04When I say old man, you can say what it is.
- 5:07What is an old man? What is a old man?
- 5:11Respond right here. Every single old man.
- 5:17They stood in line and I loved every one of them.
- 5:22And they all would get right to me and they would get very
- 5:24aggressive with me. And they say I just don't like
- 5:27NASCAR anymore. And I stay real calm and I and I
- 5:32put my arm around them. I put my arm on them and I'd say
- 5:36I love you, buddy. I said, now how come, how come
- 5:38you don't like NASCAR anymore? And every, every one of them,
- 5:43every one of them had a little different reason, but they were
- 5:45all the same. I just, I don't know, I just, it
- 5:49ain't the same. But they were there to see Rusty
- 5:54and they were there to see coffee with Kenny.
- 5:58This, this damn coffee with Kenny.
- 6:00It blows me away. So, you know, I can't do
- 6:05anything about it right now. The racing is the best.
- 6:09NASCAR's fixed a lot of things. But man, I'll tell you what,
- 6:12these, these old men, they will not let it go.
- 6:17Now, you know, one of my dear friends in life, Mark the kid
- 6:21Martin out of Batesville, AR you know, Mark drove up the driveway
- 6:25and he said, I got fact that, you know, just because we're
- 6:30old, you know, NASCAR's wrong. And so Mark fixed NASCAR single
- 6:36handedly. The NASCAR executives, Ben
- 6:39Kennedy said we were not going to do what Mark said.
- 6:43But then we saw it, we looked at it.
- 6:44And so Mark Martin, he fixed NASCAR got those points fixed
- 6:50because what we were told was it was the points.
- 6:54And if we fix the points, that would be it.
- 6:59And then of course, Mark Martin came out a couple weeks ago and
- 7:02said, listen, the NASCAR teams want the numbers to to stay and
- 7:07there's no there. Listen, you're not going to
- 7:09convince me moving the numbers and going back to 5 lug nuts is
- 7:13going to make you love NASCAR. I think a lot of you are just
- 7:17tired. You know, people, when we get
- 7:19older, we change. We don't want to go to the race
- 7:22tracks. I think a lot of this is an
- 7:24excuse for being old. You know, I'm tired.
- 7:28It's a it's a lot to go to these tracks.
- 7:32But what, what are we going to do?
- 7:35Everybody? That's the bottom line.
- 7:38But I I thought, well, do I talk about this or not?
- 7:41But what I'm going to say, I'm going to say very nicely.
- 7:45I'm not here for it. Everybody.
- 7:47It's over for me. It is over for me.
- 7:51I love NASCAR. I've been at Atlanta this year,
- 7:54I've been at Texas and they're having fun without you.
- 7:59It's been really good. And with that, does the 45 of
- 8:07Tyler Reddick, does he win four in a row?
- 8:10That's a good looking car. Silver.
- 8:12It's it's all silver. It says Jordan right down the
- 8:15middle. Respond right here.
- 8:21Happy Saturday, everybody.
