Northern Nevada’s air is turning hazy due to rising ground-level ozone, driven by nearby wildfires — especially the Gann Fire. Public Health has issued an advisory urging sensitive groups — kids, seniors, outdoor workers, and those with asthma — to stay indoors today and tomorrow. Francisco Vega from the Air Quality Management Division says their mission is to keep residents informed during wildfire season, as smoke can travel far and impact air quality even when fires aren’t nearby.
