  You know, as you start your day, maybe you're on your way to work right now.

  So today we're going to talk about the one place where faith sometimes gets

  tested the most, our workplace.

  Happy Monday, everyone.

  As we said in the very beginning, we're going to be talking to you about a place
• 1:05
  where faith sometimes gets tested the most, our workplace.

  Well, work can be stressful. It can be filled with deadlines,
• 1:14
  difficult coworkers, or tough decisions.
• 1:17
  And sometimes it feels like our faith belongs only at church or at home, but not in the office.
• 1:25
  The classroom, or on the job site. But here's the truth. Our faith belongs everywhere, including work.

  I'll never forget one of my first jobs where I really felt my faith was tested.
• 1:38
  There were moments when people around me cut corners, bent the truth,
• 1:43
  or treated others unfairly.
• 1:45
  And I'll be honest, it was tempting to just blend in.
• 1:50
  He was tempted to blend in and go along with it. But deep down,
• 1:54
  I knew that wasn't who I was.
• 1:56
  So one day I decided I would take a different approach.
• 2:00
  Instead of letting the negativity pull me down, I started praying on the way to work.
• 2:05
  I started saying, Lord, help me to work today as if I'm working for you.
• 2:11
  And that simple shift in mindset changed everything.
• 2:15
  I still had challenges, but I walked in with the sense of purpose and peace.
• 2:21
  In Colossians 3, verses 23, it says, Whatever you do, work at it with all your
• 2:28
  heart as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
• 2:32
  That verse reminds us that work isn't just about pleasing a boss or getting
• 2:37
  a paycheck. It's an act of worship.
• 2:40
  When we bring integrity, kindness, and excellence to our jobs,
• 2:44
  we reflect Christ to those around us.
• 2:47
  Think about it. You may be the only example of Jesus your co-workers see today.
• 2:53
  It's your attitude, your patience, your willingness to listen.
• 2:57
  They speak louder than any sermon. So here's a little bit of encouragement.

  Here are three ways that we can live out faith at work.
• 3:07
  Lead with integrity. Even when no one is watching, choose honesty.
• 3:12
  Show kindness. A kind word in stressful moments can be in the most serious light someone needs.

  And work with excellence. Give your best, not because it's demanded,
• 3:26
  but because it honors God.
• 3:29
  This doesn't mean you have to preach at your desk. No, no, no.

  It means letting your life speak through how you treat others,
• 3:37
  how you handle stress, and how you show up each day.

  Let me close with this. If you're listening today

  labor is not in vain He is with you in every meeting Every project Every long

  shift And when you offer your work to Him It becomes more than a job It becomes

  a ministry A ministry and family.
