- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome back to give them Lala with Randall. Today's guest
- 0:13Speaker 1: is sam Asgari. Britney Spears is fiance. I'm very excited
- 0:18Speaker 1: to have him on today. I also before we get
- 0:22Speaker 1: going with that, I'm going to talk a little bit
- 0:23Speaker 1: about the history of this podcast. Today is history of
- 0:28Speaker 1: the podcast. So about two years ago or maybe even
- 0:32Speaker 1: a little more, I came to Lala with an idea
- 0:36Speaker 1: to start a podcast, and actually came through a poker
- 0:39Speaker 1: friend of mine who said, you guys should do a podcast.
- 0:43Speaker 1: And so I said, Lala, is do a podcast? And
- 0:45Speaker 1: she said okay. And I think we both looked at
- 0:48Speaker 1: each other like, okay, we'll do a podcast. I mean
- 0:51Speaker 1: we didn't. I don't think either one of us even
- 0:53Speaker 1: understood what that meant. We were like, what do we do,
- 0:55Speaker 1: how do we do it? Who's going to produce it?
- 0:57Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. And we started with another company before
- 1:01Speaker 1: Westwood One, and they gave us this amazing producer, Stacy,
- 1:06Speaker 1: who is our producer today, and Lala and I just
- 1:10Speaker 1: kind of just jumped into it. We didn't even know
- 1:12Speaker 1: what we were doing, and we didn't. The funny thing
- 1:16Speaker 1: is we just didn't even know you know, we didn't
- 1:18Speaker 1: know if anybody would listen. We were like, is anybody
- 1:21Speaker 1: gonna listen to this thing? Is anybody gonna give a shit?
- 1:25Speaker 1: And I remember, you know, we did it. Our first
- 1:28Speaker 1: guest was Stassy and she was so kind to come on,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and we were like freaking the fuck out and we
- 1:35Speaker 1: had a great time. And from that moment on, we
- 1:38Speaker 1: really learned a lot. I learned a lot. You know,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I didn't really know I talked too much. I talked
- 1:44Speaker 1: too little, mostly talked too much. I think that was
- 1:47Speaker 1: that was by uh and and together we kind of
- 1:51Speaker 1: grew in this podcast and learned a lot, and we started,
- 1:55Speaker 1: you know, having these amazing guests and just an awesome,
- 1:58Speaker 1: awesome times grew, the audience grew, and interest grew, and
- 2:03Speaker 1: we started to realize, you know, people are having a
- 2:06Speaker 1: lot of fun listening to this. And we had some
- 2:10Speaker 1: epic guests. You know, We've had Michigan and Kelly and
- 2:14Speaker 1: Megan Fox, We've had Celestis the Loan, We've had the
- 2:16Speaker 1: cast of Vander Pump, We've had my Mother, We've had
- 2:21Speaker 1: you know, we've we've had everybody on this podcast, all
- 2:24Speaker 1: kinds of interesting, different kinds of people, and it's just
- 2:28Speaker 1: been really fucking fun. I know that I have my
- 2:33Speaker 1: fifteen loyal followers on this podcast. I know you're all listening,
- 2:37Speaker 1: but you know, I have just really proud of what
- 2:42Speaker 1: we've done, you know, together. But I think for now,
- 2:46Speaker 1: for me, I'm going to take a step back from
- 2:50Speaker 1: being in front of the camera, even though it's a
- 2:54Speaker 1: podcast and you can't be in front of the camera.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You can be in front of the microphone, and just
- 2:58Speaker 1: to focus right now on family and my children, Ocean, London, Riley,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and also you know, my film business. So just I
- 3:09Speaker 1: made that decision, and I think it's I hope that
- 3:12Speaker 1: my fifteen followers stay loyal to the podcast. Why you
- 3:17Speaker 1: don't hear my voice, But I think that's just for
- 3:19Speaker 1: me right now, the right thing to do for myself.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And I just you know, want to be super focused
- 3:25Speaker 1: right now. And I am really really proud of some
- 3:31Speaker 1: of these episodes. I was thinking about it today. I
- 3:34Speaker 1: was thinking about the episodes that I was most proud of,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and to be honest, there's a bunch of them, obviously
- 3:38Speaker 1: a shit ton of them, but I mean I'm proud
- 3:40Speaker 1: of all of them. Okay, back it up, I'm proud
- 3:42Speaker 1: of all of them, but I'm most proud of probably
- 3:48Speaker 1: breaking kind of our whole pregnancy journey, you know, announcing
- 3:53Speaker 1: it and being you know, open about that, and then
- 3:56Speaker 1: the birth of Ocean and talking about all the different things.
- 3:59Speaker 1: You know, I'm proud of the guests that we've had
- 4:02Speaker 1: on so far, sharing their stories and sharing their journeys
- 4:06Speaker 1: and struggles. I am going to say, and it's a
- 4:10Speaker 1: little biased, but I am going to say, and these
- 4:14Speaker 1: particular episodes, just based on the numbers, I was even
- 4:17Speaker 1: looking at the mom podcasts and the Dad podcast believe
- 4:22Speaker 1: it or Not, and I was shocked. I was shocked
- 4:25Speaker 1: were some of our highest rated episodes. You know, I
- 4:29Speaker 1: think I never laughed harder in the Dad podcast, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: I really love those. I always you know, Jack's and
- 4:37Speaker 1: his Hey Create I'll never forget that. I will never forget,
- 4:41Speaker 1: you know. We just we had a lot of fun,
- 4:43Speaker 1: and we've had a lot of fun, and the podcast
- 4:46Speaker 1: is going to continue having a lot of fun. And
- 4:49Speaker 1: that's going to be Lala's going to keep that going.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You know. I'm proud of the business part of this
- 4:55Speaker 1: podcast and how we've grown it and how all the
- 4:59Speaker 1: spot meters that have been part of this and will
- 5:02Speaker 1: continue to be part of it. I'm really, you know,
- 5:04Speaker 1: excited to still be part of that side of it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And that's it, and that's kind of my story. I'm
- 5:11Speaker 1: really really just like I just am like fucking just proud.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm really young. I'm proud of you know, it takes
- 5:21Speaker 1: a lot to start a business. It takes a lot
- 5:23Speaker 1: to start something from the ground up, especially when you
- 5:25Speaker 1: don't know what the fuck you're doing. And we were
- 5:29Speaker 1: two people that didn't know what we were doing when
- 5:31Speaker 1: we started this, you know. And having said that, you know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: Lala and I have a beautiful, beautiful baby in ocean,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and I'm always going to be private. But having said
- 5:44Speaker 1: all that, I am excited to bring out Sam mc gary,
- 5:49Speaker 1: who is a friend, an incredible actor that most people
- 5:53Speaker 1: don't even have any idea that he is an actor.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I mean, you look on his Instagram and kind of
- 5:58Speaker 1: people relate him obviously. This Britney Spears' is fyance, pretty cool,
- 6:02Speaker 1: pretty badass. Okay, Sam, we give it up to you.
- 6:04Speaker 1: We take our hat off. You're the man, okay, god.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But but at the same time, he's a human being
- 6:11Speaker 1: who is a good guy and we've gotten to know
- 6:14Speaker 1: each other over the last few months, and he just
- 6:17Speaker 1: came back today and wrapped my film and I'm gonna
- 6:23Speaker 1: be bringing him out in a minute. I'm also excited
- 6:26Speaker 1: that today or sorry, this week is Ocean's eight month birthday,
- 6:34Speaker 1: so I'm gonna sing Happy birthday to Ocean, so she
- 6:36Speaker 1: has this, okay, And guys, don't cover your ears. Yes,
- 6:40Speaker 1: I can't sing Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you,
- 6:44Speaker 1: Happy birthday, dear Ocean, Happy birthday to you. Oh God,
- 6:49Speaker 1: that was punishment for all of you. But anyway, to
- 6:54Speaker 1: my beautiful baby, happy eight month. And what's ironic is
- 6:58Speaker 1: it was Riley's eight year old birthday on the eleventh
- 7:04Speaker 1: last week, so we have eight month for Ocean and
- 7:07Speaker 1: we have eight year for Riley, so happy birthday. But
- 7:10Speaker 1: I've already sung Happy Birthday Riley like thirty times and
- 7:13Speaker 1: she ran away and hit every time they did it,
- 7:16Speaker 1: so there as you go. Anyway, I'm very excited to
- 7:21Speaker 1: bring Sam out, So we're going to take a quick break,
- 7:23Speaker 1: come right back with Sam. All right. So Sam is
- 7:32Speaker 1: Britney Spears' fiance, but he's also a cool ass dude
- 7:36Speaker 1: and friend He just came back today from wrapping a
- 7:40Speaker 1: movie that I produced with Mil Gibson and Kevin Dylan.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And I'm really excited to bring him on because he
- 7:47Speaker 1: is a incredible guy, really really good person, has a
- 7:52Speaker 1: lot to say, and it is really really pursuing acting
- 7:55Speaker 1: right now. So I'm excited to bring him out here.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Let's well, Sam, what's up? Brother? Hey Sam? How are you?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Buddy good Man? How you doing? I'm hanging in there.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I'm hanging in there. Well, welcome to the podcast. It's
- 8:10Speaker 1: it's usually called give them La La with Randall, but
- 8:13Speaker 1: today we are doing with Randall and Sam. There you go.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Sam, it's a pleasure to be on your podcast. Brother.
- 8:25Speaker 1: We're happy to have you. And uh and congratulations to
- 8:28Speaker 1: you on wrapping your first movie today. Oh yeah, you
- 8:34Speaker 1: just came back from from New Mexico on a movie
- 8:37Speaker 1: I produced with Mel Gibson and Kevin Dylan. So why
- 8:41Speaker 1: don't you tell everybody about that first, and then we
- 8:43Speaker 1: can kind of back channel into how you came to
- 8:47Speaker 1: be and how you got into acting and all the
- 8:48Speaker 1: other stuff.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Oh, brother, this movie was such a great experience, But
- 8:52Speaker 2: to be honest with you, it still hasn't hit me.
- 8:54Speaker 3: You know, sometimes it takes a little bit of time
- 8:57Speaker 3: for you.
- 8:57Speaker 2: To hate you.
- 9:00Speaker 3: You know, you work with someone extremely talented, and you know,
- 9:04Speaker 3: because I'm sure you get it all the time. You
- 9:06Speaker 3: work with so many talented people and you're so talented yourself.
- 9:09Speaker 3: So yeah, man, it's gonna you know, it takes a
- 9:12Speaker 3: little bit of time to hit you when you work,
- 9:14Speaker 3: you know, with someone extremely talented.
- 9:16Speaker 2: You know, someone that has like a crazy energy and
- 9:20Speaker 2: such passion for you know, storytelling, someone like Mel Gibson. Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 2: he was definitely on the top five of my you know,
- 9:27Speaker 2: bucket list because of you know, I admire his directing
- 9:31Speaker 2: and acting. I don't think there is someone better than
- 9:35Speaker 2: him when it comes to directing and acting.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I agree with you, he is. He is, by the way,
- 9:40Speaker 1: one of my favorite people in the universe. I mean,
- 9:42Speaker 1: the movies he's directed are just epic, epic, you know, masterpieces.
- 9:46Speaker 1: And I agree with you. I'm I'm a huge fan
- 9:49Speaker 1: of Mel Gibson. I've produced a few movies with him,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and so I couldn't agree with you more. He's He's
- 9:55Speaker 1: just one of the kinder people out there, but just
- 9:57Speaker 1: full of incredible talent.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I got to tell you. It was kind
- 10:02Speaker 2: of hesitant going into it. I was like, Oh, I
- 10:04Speaker 2: don't know how he's going to be is you know,
- 10:07Speaker 2: is he going to be intimidating? But the second I
- 10:09Speaker 2: walked in there, he was so warm and he was
- 10:11Speaker 2: so welcoming and you know, but the awkward thing is
- 10:14Speaker 2: my character clashes with him every single scene. You know,
- 10:19Speaker 2: that's the whole part of the thing. So I don't
- 10:22Speaker 2: want to talk too much about the story. But it
- 10:24Speaker 2: was kind of awkward, you know, not knowing him. But
- 10:26Speaker 2: I was like, dude, I'm going to go at you.
- 10:29Speaker 2: And you know, he's such a macho man.
- 10:31Speaker 1: You know, He's No, that's awesome. So you had So
- 10:36Speaker 1: you were there and and what what did you find
- 10:39Speaker 1: as your friend? Because I know the thing is, people
- 10:41Speaker 1: don't know that you've been stunt training. You know, people
- 10:44Speaker 1: know you as Britney Spears' fiance, but I know you
- 10:48Speaker 1: obviously as somebody who's super passionate about acting, about stunts,
- 10:53Speaker 1: about really honing your craft. And I know you've been
- 10:56Speaker 1: working on it, and people follow you on Instagram, they
- 10:58Speaker 1: know that you've been working on for a long time.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You know, why don't you just share kind of your
- 11:03Speaker 1: road in acting and then and then kind of how
- 11:06Speaker 1: that translated when you actually got on the set. So yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 1: a good thing.
- 11:10Speaker 2: You forgot talented, very talented, super don't forget that well
- 11:16Speaker 2: that you were in my movie.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So that's a given, absolutely, brother.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's you know, it's it's a little tough, uh,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and not complaining whatsoever, you know, to be in the
- 11:27Speaker 2: public eye because everything I do as an actor, you know,
- 11:31Speaker 2: it's so judged and you know, so I'm making sure
- 11:34Speaker 2: everything that I do is is on the the next level,
- 11:37Speaker 2: including my performance, you know. So I'm coaching.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Uh, you know, I'm doing stunt Brando. I told you this.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I'm going to say it again on your podcast. I'm
- 11:45Speaker 2: doing stunt training for movies I haven't even booked yet.
- 11:48Speaker 1: That's unbelievable. That's unbelievable and that and that. No, but
- 11:52Speaker 1: that's amazing because that just shows your commitment. I think
- 11:54Speaker 1: people don't realize, like, you know, you, especially somebody like
- 11:57Speaker 1: you who's in the public eye at a high level,
- 11:59Speaker 1: you know, they don't they don't realize that you are
- 12:02Speaker 1: out there doing stunt classes, stunt training, filming scenes just
- 12:07Speaker 1: a practice for movies that haven't even happened yet. So
- 12:10Speaker 1: that's that's a real commitment.
- 12:13Speaker 2: No, I'm a big believer in you know, putting your energy, sacrificing,
- 12:16Speaker 2: you know, putting your money towards your goal, and the
- 12:20Speaker 2: universe is just gonna That's how the universe works. And
- 12:22Speaker 2: it works like that every single It hasn't failed me
- 12:25Speaker 2: every single time. Every time I put one hundred and
- 12:27Speaker 2: ten percent into something within minutes, I don't know, it's
- 12:30Speaker 2: a blessing, whatever it is, it's definitely you know, uh,
- 12:35Speaker 2: you know the law of the universe that you know,
- 12:37Speaker 2: I'm committed to and acting is a huge passion of mine.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Back to your question, I've always been acting, you know.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I was in drama, theater and arts and high school college.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Oh wow, that was all. I didn't even know that.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that was always my thing, you know, because I
- 12:51Speaker 2: was playing football, and as a football player, you know,
- 12:53Speaker 2: you're committed to that sport for four to six hours
- 12:56Speaker 2: a day. So it's you know, but at the same time,
- 12:58Speaker 2: I always you know the jockey of the high school
- 13:02Speaker 2: and the college and also the geek, you know, going
- 13:04Speaker 2: into drama and art classes, and I was so passionate
- 13:07Speaker 2: towards it.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But you know after.
- 13:09Speaker 2: College, I kind of like, yoh, let's you know, I
- 13:12Speaker 2: lost about like about one hundred pounds because you know,
- 13:15Speaker 2: as an athlete, when you stop playing a certain sport,
- 13:18Speaker 2: you gained so much weight after that because.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You're not you know, you're not training, you're not trying,
- 13:23Speaker 1: you're not training. I was eating. I love eating. I
- 13:25Speaker 1: was eating. I understand that. I understand that. You know
- 13:28Speaker 1: what I mean. I love so you you were one
- 13:31Speaker 1: hundred pounds bigger and then yeah, you stopped playing sports
- 13:34Speaker 1: and and you lost the weight.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, brother, So I know I was one hundred
- 13:39Speaker 2: pounds bigger when I stopped playing. When you stopped playing,
- 13:41Speaker 2: so I stopped playing, I gained like a little bit
- 13:43Speaker 2: of pound. I was close to three hundred pounds. And
- 13:45Speaker 2: then you know, I figured, I said, listen, like, I
- 13:47Speaker 2: love uh, and it clicked, you know, you know, I
- 13:50Speaker 2: need to lose some weight. And I started, you know,
- 13:53Speaker 2: losing weight, you know, with fitness. Fitness has always been
- 13:56Speaker 2: my thing since I was you know, playing sports and
- 14:00Speaker 2: as I was little, so I committed to it, and
- 14:02Speaker 2: you know I got really lean and my appearance kind
- 14:05Speaker 2: of matched with you know, my goal which was always acting. Wow,
- 14:09Speaker 2: So you know I started acting. This is around five
- 14:13Speaker 2: years ago, six years ago, okay, And I started auditioning,
- 14:17Speaker 2: and you know, TV Film started building credits, and just
- 14:21Speaker 2: lately I've been really careful with you know what I take.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I want to tell people that when I
- 14:25Speaker 1: met you and you came into the office and we
- 14:27Speaker 1: we talked about like your goals and how you love
- 14:30Speaker 1: action movies and want to be a real actor and
- 14:32Speaker 1: taken seriously, I was so impressed and I realized you
- 14:35Speaker 1: had done a lot of your homework. And I don't
- 14:37Speaker 1: think people realize that. And as you start to do
- 14:39Speaker 1: these movies like with mel Gibson and all the other
- 14:41Speaker 1: stuff I know you have coming up, people are going
- 14:43Speaker 1: to really really you know, you're going to stand alone
- 14:46Speaker 1: as a real actor because you are one. And I
- 14:48Speaker 1: think that sometimes it just you know, people just don't
- 14:52Speaker 1: see it coming. And I think that's going to be
- 14:53Speaker 1: a lot of fun for people.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah, people don't see it coming because of you know,
- 14:57Speaker 2: the public eye and also you know the relationship that
- 15:01Speaker 2: I'm right, no, because a lot of people assume, you know,
- 15:05Speaker 2: it's so easy for someone that's in the public Eyeland
- 15:07Speaker 2: someone that's dating, uh, someone such as you know, my fiance.
- 15:12Speaker 2: It's weird saying that because it's so fresh.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Congratulations by the way, thank thank you so much. People.
- 15:18Speaker 2: You know, I assume that you get these opportunities, which,
- 15:20Speaker 2: by the way, I love.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I love the fact that.
- 15:23Speaker 2: My beautiful fiance put me on the map and a
- 15:26Speaker 2: sort of a way, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 2: but it's kind of harder because you know, I'm going
- 15:31Speaker 2: for the serious rules I'm going.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I'm showing I want.
- 15:34Speaker 2: To be able to express myself as a serious actor
- 15:37Speaker 2: and not just this cheesy guy because you know of
- 15:40Speaker 2: the way I look and things like that.
- 15:43Speaker 1: So it's been really tough to try.
- 15:45Speaker 2: To not take certain things, for example, always getting I
- 15:49Speaker 2: lost about easily I would say, like, it's not even
- 15:53Speaker 2: about the money. Easily a million, million and a half
- 15:56Speaker 2: dollars of modeling just because of my commitment to Wow,
- 16:00Speaker 2: I was like, I never I had amazing offers, which
- 16:03Speaker 2: was flattering, but I'm not a model man as a bottom.
- 16:07Speaker 1: That's a hard By the way, I don't have that problem.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Clearly nobody was giving me a modeling contract. But I
- 16:12Speaker 1: just want to tell you that I that is a
- 16:15Speaker 1: hard job. I mean, even though people say, oh, I
- 16:17Speaker 1: only just stand there and wear clothes. I mean I've
- 16:21Speaker 1: had to do a few photo shoots, maybe five in
- 16:23Speaker 1: my whole life, and I was tortured. I mean, just
- 16:27Speaker 1: standing there trying to feel normal. I mean, it is
- 16:30Speaker 1: an art in itself, but it is it is not
- 16:32Speaker 1: an easy thing to just sit there for ten hours.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Sure, man, it's definitely And it wasn't my passion. You know,
- 16:38Speaker 2: I love it, you know, I love other people. You
- 16:42Speaker 2: got to chase your passion, and you know, I was
- 16:45Speaker 2: so committed to my goal that I was you know,
- 16:49Speaker 2: I was like, I didn't want to do this. I
- 16:51Speaker 2: try to stay away from it as much as possible.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And even with acting, it's so tough because it's so
- 16:57Speaker 2: easy for actors to get certain roles, and you know,
- 17:01Speaker 2: as a regular actor that's not established in the public eye,
- 17:05Speaker 2: you know, you gotta work, you gotta you know, you
- 17:06Speaker 2: gotta do these roles.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But I was getting all these.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Soap outer opportunities, and I just didn't seem like, no,
- 17:14Speaker 2: you know, no offense to the soap opera community.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I just my goal was, no, you just it just
- 17:19Speaker 1: wasn't it just wasn't your It's same with me, like
- 17:21Speaker 1: I make movies, so I completely understand, you know, you know,
- 17:25Speaker 1: it's just preference. It's not even like, oh, I don't
- 17:27Speaker 1: dis soaps either, and I don't diss these different mediums.
- 17:30Speaker 1: It's just what I'm attracted to. And it's probably the
- 17:32Speaker 1: same for you. You just you know, you try listen. I'm
- 17:36Speaker 1: having the best time with you. Give me a minute,
- 17:37Speaker 1: We're going to take a quick break. We're gonna come
- 17:39Speaker 1: right back, and I want to hear you know a
- 17:41Speaker 1: lot more. And or' even going to talk about how
- 17:43Speaker 1: you met Brittany. So you were, I mean you were.
- 17:48Speaker 1: You hate videos, You just wasn't in your DNA for
- 17:50Speaker 1: for the career that you wanted to have. And you
- 17:52Speaker 1: get a call and I assume it's for a Britney
- 17:54Speaker 1: Spears video. Yeah, so I get to call.
- 17:56Speaker 2: My friend tells me, listen, I'm working on this video,
- 18:00Speaker 2: and you know, I'm referring to you. And then I said, look,
- 18:04Speaker 2: you told me not to do a video, so what's
- 18:06Speaker 2: going on? And you know, Max, he said, oh, trust me,
- 18:09Speaker 2: you might want to do this video.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I was like, cool. I didn't think too much about it.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I went the next.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Day amazing, you know, and then I didn't find out
- 18:18Speaker 2: who it was for until I walked in.
- 18:20Speaker 1: You know.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It was kind of like a secret project type thing, right,
- 18:26Speaker 2: and until I was interested in and I knew about it.
- 18:29Speaker 2: So I went there as an actor, you know, on set,
- 18:32Speaker 2: I had a great time. You know, it was I
- 18:34Speaker 2: was working with my friend again, so I didn't think
- 18:37Speaker 2: too much about it. Well, when me and my fiance
- 18:41Speaker 2: now fiance, you know, connected, it was kind of like
- 18:45Speaker 2: an amazing energy vibe between us. You know, it was
- 18:48Speaker 2: this normal experience, normal conversation, right, you know, like, hey,
- 18:54Speaker 2: how you doing, you know, how was everything? Thank you
- 18:58Speaker 2: for being in the video, so, you know, just like
- 19:01Speaker 2: a normal conversation. She was so sweet and she was
- 19:04Speaker 2: so welcoming.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Right.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Something about people that you know that are super successful
- 19:08Speaker 2: and super talented is that their energy is so welcoming.
- 19:12Speaker 2: You know. Yeah, of course, you know, we clicked and
- 19:16Speaker 2: we talked about you know, just get some sushi.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Okay, but hold on sec as you're talking and as
- 19:21Speaker 1: you're just hanging out because you're in a work environment.
- 19:23Speaker 1: You know, you're just you're making a video and you're
- 19:25Speaker 1: you're the actor, and she's the artist and here's you know, nonchalant.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Is there like this magical spark you know that happens
- 19:33Speaker 1: or is it or is it just hey, we're gonna
- 19:35Speaker 1: go get some dinner. Like what was your vibe at
- 19:38Speaker 1: the time.
- 19:38Speaker 2: We both were, you know, just having a good time.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It wasn't I don't think there was a spark at
- 19:43Speaker 2: you know. Okay, I built over time, but you know,
- 19:47Speaker 2: it was a normal, normal thing. We were both single, right,
- 19:52Speaker 2: and it was just normal and she was having such
- 19:54Speaker 2: a good time and she got my number and then
- 19:57Speaker 2: she pretty much messaged me a couple of weeks later,
- 20:00Speaker 2: you know, what are you doing, Let's have some dinner.
- 20:02Speaker 2: And then I was like, oh, you said sushi, Let's
- 20:04Speaker 2: go have sushi, and you know, and then it didn't
- 20:07Speaker 2: really hit me, so what was really happening? Which I said,
- 20:10Speaker 2: it always does after, you know. Yeah, so after so
- 20:13Speaker 2: I didn't think too much about it. We went to dinner,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and then here we are.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Okay, tell me, at least tell me something you go
- 20:20Speaker 1: to dinner. Is the first kiss at dinner? At least
- 20:22Speaker 1: is that first moment brandas something you need to know
- 20:25Speaker 1: about me. I don't kiss into Oh god, you're on
- 20:30Speaker 1: the wrong You're on the wrong podcast.
- 20:31Speaker 4: No, I'm kidding, Sam, I'm kidding. By the way, I
- 20:36Speaker 4: respect that completely, you know, No, listen, I think that's great.
- 20:39Speaker 4: So anyway, you guys had this great moment. You guys,
- 20:43Speaker 4: you know, you get connected, you started going to dinners.
- 20:45Speaker 4: It was kind of like a very it's you know
- 20:47Speaker 4: what it seems. It seems like a really really sweet
- 20:50Speaker 4: courtship and that's what it feels like. Oh man, it was,
- 20:54Speaker 4: That's what it was. You know, it was like, you know,
- 20:57Speaker 4: that attraction and that love was built over.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I was like, oh shit, like I'm meeting a real
- 21:04Speaker 2: human being that has passion. And you know what's crazy.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you this random or something I never
- 21:08Speaker 2: said before the fact that someone so successful someone so
- 21:17Speaker 2: it's going to help me down the line. It's helping
- 21:19Speaker 2: me as we speak. Is that someone that's on her
- 21:22Speaker 2: level or on her level of success could be so
- 21:27Speaker 2: sweet and so humble. And you know what I mean
- 21:31Speaker 2: versus you know, you meet some people that are not
- 21:33Speaker 2: so success or that don't have that attitude, and you
- 21:36Speaker 2: understand how you know these people that are on the
- 21:40Speaker 2: level as you know, she is why they're there is,
- 21:43Speaker 2: because they make people fall in love with them, you know,
- 21:47Speaker 2: just like her, just like the rock. You know, they
- 21:49Speaker 2: make they make people feel amazing being around them is
- 21:52Speaker 2: the energy that when they enter a room, it's so amazing,
- 21:57Speaker 2: you know. So it helps me and I hope I
- 22:00Speaker 2: have that energy. I get that a lot around my friends,
- 22:04Speaker 2: you know, around my people. I'm not comparing myself with Celestor,
- 22:07Speaker 2: but you know, I hope I make people feel amazing,
- 22:11Speaker 2: you know.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I just I think I think that's one of the
- 22:14Speaker 1: sweetest things I've heard, honestly, and it's you could tell.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I mean, you guys have this really really you know,
- 22:20Speaker 1: really neat thing, and the way you speak about her,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I can tell. So No, that's that's great. So it was.
- 22:26Speaker 1: It was. It was kind of like a real natural,
- 22:29Speaker 1: organic courtship. It just happened. Yeah, and you two fell
- 22:33Speaker 1: for each other and the rest is history, as they say,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and that's where we are today. Yes, I love it.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I love it. Well, listen, that's that's fantastic. Obviously, I'm
- 22:42Speaker 1: a fan of of you and your friend, and I'm
- 22:44Speaker 1: a fan of of your fiance who's a superstar and
- 22:47Speaker 1: we all know and uh, quick question and again you
- 22:50Speaker 1: can deny me this information. I'm uh, wedding plans is
- 22:54Speaker 1: their wedding plans.
- 22:55Speaker 2: So she's wearing the pants, man, I don't mean what
- 23:00Speaker 2: she's wearing the she's wearing the pants. And something about
- 23:02Speaker 2: my relationship is you know, I'm trying to I'm trying.
- 23:06Speaker 2: It's very hard. But something about the secret and something
- 23:10Speaker 2: about you know, spontaneous things and privacy. Yeah, that you
- 23:14Speaker 2: don't get that anymore. So I'm really trying to, you know,
- 23:17Speaker 2: respect that, and you know, not not only for her,
- 23:20Speaker 2: but for me, you know, because I don't want to
- 23:22Speaker 2: have this amazing future and if you practice that now,
- 23:26Speaker 2: that's always going to be there.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I think that's really well said. And I, you know,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I you know, I come from a very you know,
- 23:32Speaker 1: behind the scenes background, and and I definitely understand that
- 23:36Speaker 1: and have you know, run a film company for a
- 23:39Speaker 1: long time, and and I do understand that in the
- 23:42Speaker 1: world that we're in today, obviously you know, things have
- 23:46Speaker 1: changed with social media and all the different platforms. So
- 23:49Speaker 1: I think I give you a lot of respect for
- 23:52Speaker 1: really trying to do that and hold that integrity for
- 23:56Speaker 1: you and for you and your partner. So that's been absolutely, brother,
- 24:00Speaker 1: Tell me what you have coming up next, like what's
- 24:03Speaker 1: on what's on the horizon for you work wise and
- 24:06Speaker 1: life wise? Anything?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Absolutely, Man, you know, work is always going to be something.
- 24:11Speaker 2: As an actor, you're always working. You know, if you're
- 24:14Speaker 2: not working on set, you're always working, You're always training,
- 24:17Speaker 2: You're always you know that. As for me, I'm doing
- 24:19Speaker 2: physical and you know the physical factor of it. I'm
- 24:22Speaker 2: doing stunt training two times a week. I changed my
- 24:25Speaker 2: workouts because I was working out with weights and all
- 24:28Speaker 2: that to MMA training, Wow, and really focusing on on
- 24:31Speaker 2: that so you know, giving myself more of a lember,
- 24:34Speaker 2: you know, to be able to move on camera, to
- 24:36Speaker 2: be able to do the action themes such as I
- 24:39Speaker 2: just did. And I'm doing a lot of TV stuff
- 24:42Speaker 2: as my you know, as the grind. You know that
- 24:46Speaker 2: that progress, you know, staying true to the grind and
- 24:49Speaker 2: doing TV work and doing roles that you know, built
- 24:53Speaker 2: up my things and everything I've done is been like
- 24:56Speaker 2: coming out great lately. I don't know if it's you know,
- 25:00Speaker 2: everything that I chose. I did this thing hacks, you know,
- 25:04Speaker 2: this big show on Jeane Smart always in there for
- 25:07Speaker 2: two seconds Randall. It was the first it was the
- 25:11Speaker 2: first two frames of the show, and then I was
- 25:13Speaker 2: watching the Emmys and then they show me right right
- 25:16Speaker 2: there as they win like a bunch of Emmys.
- 25:18Speaker 1: So, you know, so.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The whole production sent me a thank you. I'm just
- 25:23Speaker 2: joking a bunch of Emmies basically. But everything I'm doing
- 25:27Speaker 2: is very I'm strategizing. I'm making sure that you know,
- 25:31Speaker 2: the TV roles that I'm picking, that the movie roles
- 25:35Speaker 2: that i'm picking is true to the grind because I'm
- 25:38Speaker 2: I'm very young.
- 25:39Speaker 1: You know.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Well let's not say that because that people were, but.
- 25:43Speaker 1: You know, you're you're young, You're young.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm very young for the goals. And also I
- 25:49Speaker 2: don't have humble goals when it comes to acting. You know,
- 25:52Speaker 2: I try to stay super humble, but at the same time,
- 25:55Speaker 2: my goals aren't humble when it comes to acting. You know,
- 25:57Speaker 2: I want the biggest thing and then it's to take
- 26:00Speaker 2: some time.
- 26:00Speaker 1: You know what. That's just dreaming and there's nothing wrong
- 26:03Speaker 1: with that. And I don't think that there's an ego
- 26:04Speaker 1: associated when you have big dreams. You know. Well, yeah,
- 26:08Speaker 1: I mean I came out to Los Angeles, you know,
- 26:10Speaker 1: twenty something years ago, and I had the same dreams
- 26:13Speaker 1: everybody else has. And you know, all I wanted to
- 26:15Speaker 1: do was make films. And I didn't even care about
- 26:18Speaker 1: money or or or or or prestige or anything like that.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I just wanted to be able to pay my rent,
- 26:24Speaker 1: pay my car payment and make a film. So, you know,
- 26:27Speaker 1: we all came and gat you know, we all come
- 26:29Speaker 1: here with a dream. And I think that's you know,
- 26:31Speaker 1: admirable to to have those dreams and keep them right
- 26:35Speaker 1: in the forefront, you know, and not apologize for that.
- 26:38Speaker 2: And I get that from working with these guys uh
- 26:41Speaker 2: and these uh, the people that have been in the
- 26:44Speaker 2: industry for such long time, and they show up, you
- 26:47Speaker 2: know every morning passionate. You know, they don't even care
- 26:50Speaker 2: about the money. They just want to tell stories and
- 26:53Speaker 2: they want to you know, they want that passion. And
- 26:56Speaker 2: I'm so passionate about that that you know that I'm
- 26:58Speaker 2: putting one hundred and teper Like you said, there's no
- 27:01Speaker 2: ego behind it. It's just my goals are. So I
- 27:04Speaker 2: have such high expectations when it comes to, you know,
- 27:07Speaker 2: my career, and I'm putting you know, one hundred ten
- 27:11Speaker 2: percent behind It's going to take a lot of work.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's pretty wrong. It's not I'm not sitting
- 27:15Speaker 1: around waiting for things. No, that's not at all.
- 27:18Speaker 2: And I don't want to because every time something comes
- 27:21Speaker 2: at you that you haven't worked hard enough, it doesn't
- 27:23Speaker 2: bring that happiness, it doesn't bring that passion. So that's
- 27:27Speaker 2: you know, I'm one hundred ten percent at it. I'm
- 27:30Speaker 2: going extra, I'm sacrificing my time, my money and going
- 27:35Speaker 2: out of my way.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I loves that. But that's that's what That's what got
- 27:38Speaker 1: me when you, when we met for the first time.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I think that people just you know, Instagram is such
- 27:43Speaker 1: you know, to me, it's such an illusion. You know,
- 27:45Speaker 1: it's not it's it's not who we are. I mean, yes,
- 27:48Speaker 1: it's a it's photo moments, but there are selected photo
- 27:53Speaker 1: moments and you can't you know, people want to make
- 27:55Speaker 1: judgments on us just you know, from that moment. The
- 27:59Speaker 1: reality is, you know, you you came in the room
- 28:01Speaker 1: and you sat down, and I knew within five minutes
- 28:04Speaker 1: you were real, like you were really, really in this
- 28:07Speaker 1: and you were really passionate. And I think people listening
- 28:09Speaker 1: right now can hear that as well. So yeah, yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I don't want to. I don't want to take all
- 28:15Speaker 1: day because I could talk to you all day, but
- 28:16Speaker 1: I want to ask you a question. Uh uh, I
- 28:19Speaker 1: have two children. I have three total, but I have
- 28:23Speaker 1: two older children. I have a newborn. You and Brittany,
- 28:26Speaker 1: will you have kids? Good?
- 28:28Speaker 2: Of course I want.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Some people say no, you want.
- 28:33Speaker 2: And Randall, you don't know this and like to keep secrets.
- 28:35Speaker 2: We already have five kids. Do dropped them off at
- 28:38Speaker 2: the grand No one knows this. Don't tell anyone.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Did you did you? Did I miss something? Did I
- 28:46Speaker 1: miss the pregnancy with Brittany?
- 28:48Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:48Speaker 1: Five kids.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I just dropped them off. You know, whatever you drop
- 28:52Speaker 2: off your kids.
- 28:54Speaker 1: You drop up whatever you do with those kids. Uh No,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I think that's great. No. I like to ask because
- 28:59Speaker 1: you know what, I just had my third child. Ocean
- 29:02Speaker 1: who I who is just you know, an epic human
- 29:07Speaker 1: and gift from God and and I just you know,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I got to say, I'm fifty years old and had
- 29:13Speaker 1: my third child, and honestly, it's like starting over and
- 29:16Speaker 1: it's amazing. So I'm excited that you're excited to have
- 29:19Speaker 1: more kids. And I mean, not you more kids, but Brittany,
- 29:22Speaker 1: have more kids?
- 29:23Speaker 2: Yes, yes, absolutely no, it's it's you know, I always
- 29:27Speaker 2: love the fact that you know that you're able to
- 29:30Speaker 2: you want to relive your life and you know, show
- 29:32Speaker 2: your kid the things that you've done and that brings happiness,
- 29:37Speaker 2: and I want that and I want more motive. I
- 29:40Speaker 2: have so much motivation right now, but I want more.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I want to be able to, you know, make them
- 29:45Speaker 2: proud and make my you know, future, the five children
- 29:49Speaker 2: that I have that we have. Yeah, yeah, but you know,
- 29:54Speaker 2: I we it's motivation as it's motivation, and it's just
- 29:59Speaker 2: brings enjoy and happiness. I'm already a happy guy. I
- 30:02Speaker 2: already love my life, but why not add more?
- 30:05Speaker 1: I agree? And you know what one thing I'll give
- 30:07Speaker 1: you from a father's perspective is each you know, time
- 30:12Speaker 1: you you know, have a child, and even your first child,
- 30:15Speaker 1: you you you do get to relive your your youth.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It starts all over again. And things that I've forgotten,
- 30:21Speaker 1: you know, the joy, the the that that wide eyed love,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you know, and innocence and beauty is just it almost
- 30:30Speaker 1: it basically brings me almost the tears just talking about
- 30:33Speaker 1: it because it really is the most beautiful thing. And
- 30:36Speaker 1: I can't wait, you know, for you to share. You know,
- 30:39Speaker 1: when you when you and Brittany have a have your
- 30:41Speaker 1: own child together, you get to relive that whole you know, childhood.
- 30:45Speaker 1: So you're right, it is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I can't wait, man.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Well listen, I want to thank you, buddy. I cannot
- 30:51Speaker 1: thank you. I know you just got off the plane
- 30:52Speaker 1: and we're kind enough to come do this for for me.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I wish you and Brittany all the love and and
- 30:59Speaker 1: I and wait to see you. I know you're doing
- 31:01Speaker 1: another movie for me next year, so I look forward
- 31:04Speaker 1: and congratulations on everything, and thank you for your time.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Absolutely, man, I can't wait. Thank you, all right, buddy,
- 31:10Speaker 2: Thanks Sam? All right, take it easy, bro.
- 31:12Speaker 1: All right. Well that was Sam. Wow, that was pretty dope.
- 31:16Speaker 1: I got to tell you guys, you know, it's always
- 31:19Speaker 1: interesting to get to have people come on share their story,
- 31:23Speaker 1: people that I don't get to spend that much time
- 31:25Speaker 1: with or And I think Sam is a incredible person,
- 31:31Speaker 1: incredible human, and I'm just really proud of everything that
- 31:34Speaker 1: he's doing and accomplished. So that's it, and that's what
- 31:37Speaker 1: we have for this week. Stay tuned, come back next
- 31:40Speaker 1: week and we'll see you that thanks
