- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Chad, you're not far from it, my friend.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: He goes, You should get a swimming pool instead.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: No.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Hold on a second.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: I'm actually thinking I'm gonna do that next year.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Get a cheapy then.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Well, here's the thing is because I live in West Elmire and there's not one swatch of flat land anywhere, um, but I noticed one of my neighbors uh got one put in this year by Heselsons, and they also live, actually, they live on a more cliffy part of uh the neighborhood I live in.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: So that's gotta be a hell of a view when you're in that pool because you're like really over anyway.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Uh maybe I'll make friends with them.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: We have talked about this pretty so instead of the pool table or instead of a foo, well, there won't be a foosball table.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: I don't need carpal tunnel in the next 10 minutes, but uh instead of the pool table, which I could see getting used, but I also understand all the arguments.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: We've been seriously considering getting I mean, uh would I love an in-ground pool?
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Do I have thirty thousand dollars?
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: No, sure.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: I don't have any of that.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: So we'll have to get something in.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, we might go with a cheapie, we might go, it's gonna end up being a next jump next summer thing or spring summer.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Um, but I might do that.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: I've I've been a pool owner before many, many years ago.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Me too, and I don't think it's worth it.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, see, I do.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Maybe because you have young kids.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I like to get in the pool a lot.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, I do a lot.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I do too, but I just I found myself only getting in it when I would I would get home from work and I would clean it because you you have to pretty much clean it every day.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: And we even had the thing, the rotor rooter of uh you know the roomba.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: The roomba, yeah.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we had one of those as well.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I found myself just wanting to get like a good clean because I I became almost like obsessed about it.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: You do, you you absolutely do, and you walk around with the uh 10-foot net.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: You know, there's something soothing about that.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: It was, it was.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: So I got in pretty much every single day, and then the dog would get in too, which was awesome.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: But I was like, cool, I'm in a pool by myself.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: The only time I wasn't in the pool by myself is when Shelby came over.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: So other than I don't know, but you have kids, you have kids.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I think that you probably would use it a bunch.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it it maybe, maybe where the trampoline is, it goes.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I think that you could and get one of those like Sam's Club pools or something.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: Well, that that we might we might start there, or maybe we'll look at it and you know do a nicer one from.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I do think that Tara brings up a really good point.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: I love this point, which means you might have to go back and get the pool table.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: I wonder if she can.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: I wonder if Tiffany can actually reach out to those people and be like, did anything did that sell?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: What what okay?
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Hold on, before you say yes or no to this.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: If everything doesn't go from an estate sale, and I'm talking larger items, let's say a couch, uh, you know, a nice one.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Not not one you can just throw at the curb, you're like, oh, I'm glad to see that go.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: But like a pool table, things like that.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Does the estate sale companies take that and like put it in storage and then see about selling?
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I'm curious on that.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: So we had an estate sale when my grandparents passed.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: I thought I thought that whatever sells, so the estate uh estate sale people, let's say it's Allie's estates, that I would get hypothetically 40% of the sales.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: And then, and we organize it and everything, but whatever doesn't sell is up to you.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: But I can tell you this in our situation, we did have somebody come in and they're like, I'll buy up the rest.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, they did.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because they wanted to use it for like a store or something like that.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm wondering about that.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: I never knew because like, you know, that would make sense.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Like, let and let's say it's nice enough stuff, not the garbagey stuff that you're just like whatever, go on.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, does it if you're uh to me, I'd be like, Well, I could put that in a storage thing because you probably would have something like that and then turn around and sell it later.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: If I were you, after I tell you Tara's comment, yes, I would call the estate company and say, Hey, I missed the opportunity.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: How can I get it?
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Now, Tara said I would go get the pool table.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: And I would definitely get the pool table because you want your children and their friends at your house and not other people's homes, which your house has, I feel like, become that, especially with Gavin's friends.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: I I think that the oh, and I think it'll develop for Lydia's too.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: I just think that it's going to be the the gathering place for a lot of them as they continue to age up.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: And I am so fine with that.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: That does not bother me at all.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: I'm not like I gotta keep an eye on him 24-7, but I just think that I mean we're the house is kind of built for that.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And I and and what he means by that is Ah, they sold the damn pool table.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: She said, son of a well, I'm always going to estate sales.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: I will keep a lookout for you because the way Scott's house is, he has a room that's perfect for games.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, not perfect for games while we're watching the Super Bowl, but that's when I'm like, I'll hide the sticks if we do the party again.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and knock it off.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to watch Bad Bunny.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Can you actually justify it?
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Please, if Bad Bunny's on.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, by the way, side note if you missed that, that's a that's another thing.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: We had read there's a big rumor going around that the Bieber is gonna be the halftime show.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: God, I hope so.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: God, we'll see what happens.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: The picture.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: We started the show with the foosball table that had to be parted with with one of your friends and the guy that was eventually moving into her house.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: And she put the foot down and uh and she goes, No foosball table in my house.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: I teased Allie, I said, because you were talking about, you know, oh, we'll rearrange so that there's some pictures of his in the house and stuff like that.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I said, Yeah, here's how it's gonna go.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: End of the hallway, darkest spot, when you're walking in, nobody will see it except you two, barely when you're walking into the bedroom.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's even worse than that.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Or I wouldn't say worse, it's just you're pretty dang close.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: Now, my house is built into a hill.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: So when you walk in my house, you're on the upper level.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: And then you go to the back of the house, and there is a staircase that goes down, and the lower level is my second floor.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: So it kind of feels like it'd be like a basement, but it's not.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: Well, you have a very chalet style to your house.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: So he has all of these concert posters that are framed, and they're awesome.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: But I said, you know, where I think these concert posters should go in the house, is they can go down the down the staircase.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: It's like it's a hall.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: That's actually a great spot.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: But the funny thing is, it goes nobody would see it unless they were going down.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Unless they were going downstairs.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: That's a neat thing to see when you're going downstairs, should you?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Downstairs is two things.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Well, three things.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: But downstairs is a spare bedroom, so only the people who are staying the night would really see it.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: My vanity room is down there, and then kind of like a storage area.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: So you'd see it every day, and then he'd take people up and down the stairs to show off his uh his posters.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, his 19 Wilco posters.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm gonna give you I'm gonna give you a pass on this one.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: And here's why.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: If you were hiding his uh red-breasted tit picture of his uh birds, you know, or the warbly uh what do we call it?
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: The warbly dick sizzle, whatever the birds are.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: Uh so if he if you were trying to hide his bird pictures, which usually are not that invasive, and they they're tolerable to look at.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: I can put them in the collage of pictures.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's that I would have been on you a little bit.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you can't let the tit hang out on the wall where everyone can see it.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: And everyone can go, nice tit.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Uh, but for concert, it's kind of like I have not, I'm about to see your dad's massive collection of both sci-fi and concert stuff and everything else for the first time.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: I've heard about it for 20 years.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Scott's coming to my parents' house next week.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: About to see for the first time, and I'm very excited to see the museum.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: But it has a place.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: And thank you.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you said that.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: Everything has a place.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Yes, and and I agree with you on this.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: And uh, I believe also the concert posters.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: I you have said in this case, I side with you.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: They can go down there.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: If it were the, you know, yellow bellied tit, that's uh that would be I would be like, come on, that's a little selfish.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Now, you know, now if it's a picture of his kid, does that still also go down to the dark end of the hallway and be like, well, that ain't mine.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: So that'll go in the spare bedroom.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Oh jeez.
