Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hey babes, Welcome to the bonus episode of the Give
- 0:08Speaker 1: Them La La Podcast. I'm so hyped for this episode
- 0:12Speaker 1: because it is along the same sort of lines is
- 0:16Speaker 1: when we did Miss America.
- 0:19Speaker 2: All been asking Miss America Part two.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's just a way for us to look stupid and everyone.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I don't need y'all do it. And there's a many
- 0:28Speaker 1: way that you could do that. I could just sit
- 0:30Speaker 1: here and just throw me on this mic every Wednesday
- 0:34Speaker 1: and Monday, and I just do that without questions, you know,
- 0:39Speaker 1: so in honor of yours truly, La Lakent being part
- 0:46Speaker 1: of the new show on Prime. It's called Are You
- 0:51Speaker 1: Smarter Than a Celebrity? The host is I don't know
- 0:54Speaker 1: if you guys have heard of him. He's like a
- 0:55Speaker 1: little no name Travis Kelce. Have you guys heard of him.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'll google him. I don't know. I just like barely
- 1:01Speaker 1: learned who he is. I guess he's dating some pretty
- 1:03Speaker 1: famous girl.
- 1:04Speaker 3: What's her name?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Swifty? Yeah, I think it's like Swift or something. Just kidding.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey is the host, and he was absolutely hysterical
- 1:16Speaker 1: even without a teleprompter. Right, you can just tell when
- 1:20Speaker 1: people are actually really fun and funny, and I think
- 1:23Speaker 1: you can kind of tell in his relationship with t Swift,
- 1:26Speaker 1: like they just look like they're having fun. Yeah. Right,
- 1:31Speaker 1: So I had the luxury of being part of this show,
- 1:35Speaker 1: and I was very, very nervous because school was not
- 1:39Speaker 1: my strong point, and every time I always felt like
- 1:44Speaker 1: every single question in school was a trick question. So
- 1:49Speaker 1: even the easiest of questions I made extremely difficult because
- 1:53Speaker 1: I'm like, it couldn't be that easy, and then I'd
- 1:56Speaker 1: always get it wrong and then I'd look like a
- 1:57Speaker 1: fucking idiot. And then I learned like, don't overthink it,
- 2:02Speaker 1: like if you know, like you do sometimes know the answer.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Laugh.
- 2:06Speaker 1: But I just never could imagine that I would know
- 2:09Speaker 1: the answer. But I had no stakes, right, like the
- 2:14Speaker 1: person competing in are You Smarter than a celebrity? Unless
- 2:17Speaker 1: you're up at the podium with them, you essentially are
- 2:20Speaker 1: just laughing. And I could draw pictures if I wanted. Yeah, So,
- 2:24Speaker 1: if I didn't know it, like all the math questions,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm like saying, funny shit. Anyway, my episode airs on Wednesday.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's so good you guys November six. I'm not gonna
- 2:34Speaker 1: give too much away. But I'm a funny motherfucker.
- 2:36Speaker 2: She's so funny. I haven't seen it. I was just
- 2:38Speaker 2: watching in the trailer. Are we able to give a
- 2:40Speaker 2: little btst of who was literally feet from your trailer?
- 2:45Speaker 2: Which I'm sure they can guess. Have we said this
- 2:47Speaker 2: on the podcast?
- 2:48Speaker 1: I don't. I think we might have, but let's say
- 2:50Speaker 1: it again. Okay, Taylor Swift was in Travis Kelsey's trailer,
- 2:55Speaker 1: trailer which.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Was parallel to Lala's, and I'm talking like ten feet away,
- 2:59Speaker 2: you guys. Yeah, And I see a giant black suv
- 3:03Speaker 2: and then we start hearing whispers on set. What is
- 3:06Speaker 2: that black suv doing? It was our girl, Taylor Swift
- 3:08Speaker 2: in Travis's trailer.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Just visiting.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yep, just visiting. They were gonna have lunch together and
- 3:15Speaker 1: probably yeah, probably probably good form. Also, here's a little tea.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Oh so we had to we didn't have to. We
- 3:26Speaker 1: got to do a group picture with everybody, like Nicole
- 3:29Speaker 1: Bayer ron Function, both comedians, both freaking hysterical. We had
- 3:35Speaker 1: Ryan Fitzpatrick, who also is the host of Thursday Night Football,
- 3:40Speaker 1: who also is freaking fantastic. So Sophia, Sophia Stallone. We
- 3:46Speaker 1: had like a really fun group of students aka celebrities,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and we take a group picture and Travis I I'm
- 3:56Speaker 1: next to him, and I'm pregnant, but he did not
- 4:00Speaker 1: He I believe, had two girls on each of his sides,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and when he put his arms around us, he did
- 4:07Speaker 1: not touch the classic hover YEP, which I thought was
- 4:13Speaker 1: very very sweet, beautiful track. Yes, like that sweet, respectful.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So there's my little a little bit more of behind
- 4:22Speaker 1: the scenes. But it was one of the most fun
- 4:24Speaker 1: times I've ever had. It was nothing but lightheartedness and giggles,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and for the first time ever, I was in a
- 4:32Speaker 1: school setting where I was not shitting bricks, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 1: where I could like crack jokes about not being the brightest,
- 4:41Speaker 1: not trying to.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Copy off somebody else's.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Paper, not the brightest color cran in the box. Anyway,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Jessica has questions for us that are are you smarter
- 4:54Speaker 1: than these? Are?
- 4:55Speaker 3: Are you smarter? Smarter than a fifth grader?
- 4:57Speaker 2: Because I encourage friends listeners to play along.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and as you guys know, if you've seen the show,
- 5:05Speaker 1: you can pick like first grade and then sixth grade.
- 5:09Speaker 1: The sixth grade question, which I believe is not on
- 5:12Speaker 1: the board it's the hardest question and it's like the
- 5:15Speaker 1: largest prize if you get it right and you get
- 5:17Speaker 1: to pick the celebrity that helps you. Spoiler alert, no
- 5:21Speaker 1: one picks me for that. I would look at them,
- 5:24Speaker 1: be like you. Every Most people picked fits because he
- 5:30Speaker 1: went to Harvard.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Oh duh.
- 5:33Speaker 1: He's a smart motherfucker.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Wow. Smart and athletic and has a lot of kids. Wow.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Good for him.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Anyway, there are a lot of jokes about this, by
- 5:43Speaker 1: the way.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Anyway, Yes, so these I I don't know what level,
- 5:47Speaker 2: but are you smarter than a fifth grader?
- 5:49Speaker 3: So probably fifth grade level level? Okay? And just like that,
- 5:53Speaker 3: just like that, why not answering?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Density describes the mass of an object divided by what.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I don't think, write it down?
- 6:05Speaker 3: Can we do this?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Can we have a piece of paper because I want
- 6:07Speaker 2: to see if Easton and La la that's.
- 6:09Speaker 1: A good I've got you.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I feel what you got to answer?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Can you repeat the question? Yes?
- 6:16Speaker 3: Here.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Density describes the mass of an object divided by what.
- 6:25Speaker 2: The mass of an object divided by blank is the
- 6:29Speaker 2: density is density?
- 6:31Speaker 3: What's your answer? Easton? You gotta put down anything ing
- 6:36Speaker 3: ing wrong game show, But you get the point.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Okay, five, four, three, two one, You guys both show
- 6:46Speaker 2: your answers a number.
- 6:51Speaker 3: What's yours? Easton says, I don't know. It's the guy
- 6:55Speaker 3: doing Easton's is a shrug.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on an emergie?
- 7:04Speaker 3: What an emergie?
- 7:06Speaker 1: An emoji? His answer is an emoji?
- 7:09Speaker 4: Really good question again.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Density describes the mass of an object, divided by what producer, John,
- 7:14Speaker 2: would you like to attempt?
- 7:16Speaker 4: I failed math, so no.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Well it's science and it's volume science.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Same thing I was gonna say. If this is math,
- 7:25Speaker 4: then I'm really fucked up.
- 7:27Speaker 3: The answer is volume.
- 7:29Speaker 2: If any of you listeners got it, you are way
- 7:31Speaker 2: smarter than anyone on the side.
- 7:33Speaker 1: You guys, we all thought it was math. That's why
- 7:35Speaker 1: I put a number like this is hard. It must
- 7:37Speaker 1: have involve numbers.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I failed biology chemistry.
- 7:41Speaker 5: The first math I took in college was edition subtraction
- 7:43Speaker 5: multiplication division Matt twenty five.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Let's go all right, Okay, number two, move on to
- 7:49Speaker 2: what easier one? Maybe this is probably kindergarten level. Okay,
- 7:53Speaker 2: number two, just a simple true or false? For the
- 7:55Speaker 2: love of God, crawfish.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Are fish, and show, oh, show to me and the cameras,
- 8:02Speaker 1: we do it at the same time.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Okay, So La la cant said false? Why did you
- 8:06Speaker 2: say that?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Law?
- 8:08Speaker 1: Because it has arms?
- 8:13Speaker 3: Okay, because it has armed?
- 8:15Speaker 6: Wait?
- 8:16Speaker 1: A crawfish or a crab.
- 8:18Speaker 3: He's a crowd crab, a crawfish?
- 8:21Speaker 4: Wait? I thought you said this crawfish a fish?
- 8:23Speaker 3: I did true or false? Crawfish are fish?
- 8:25Speaker 1: False because crawfish have those.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Things in tentacles?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Tent tentacles?
- 8:30Speaker 3: Do you you said false? Okay? If you say false,
- 8:33Speaker 3: what would they be considered?
- 8:35Speaker 1: Just not a fish?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Easton, let's see yours.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You didn't ask that question, so I don't even tell.
- 8:40Speaker 3: You what it would be said false? Why did you
- 8:43Speaker 3: say that?
- 8:44Speaker 4: Because it's not a fish?
- 8:45Speaker 3: Okay? What is it?
- 8:48Speaker 1: He doesn't have to.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It is a It is a I'm going to give you, guys,
- 8:58Speaker 2: what does it start with?
- 8:59Speaker 3: They are? It starts with a.
- 9:01Speaker 7: C cross station, crustation station.
- 9:09Speaker 4: That's how you knew.
- 9:10Speaker 3: No, their crustaceans like Aladdin? Not Aladdin? Who's the red
- 9:19Speaker 3: one on? Little Mermaid? Doctor Sylvester?
- 9:24Speaker 1: What is his name? Hold on?
- 9:32Speaker 4: Look it up?
- 9:34Speaker 1: Well that wasn't part of the game.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I am okay, you guys, moving on a word phrase
- 9:46Speaker 2: or sequence that reads the same forward and backward is
- 9:50Speaker 2: called what.
- 9:52Speaker 4: A play on words?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Write it down?
- 9:56Speaker 1: You would be docked points on the game. You're not
- 9:58Speaker 1: supposed to talk, so looks like you until until the
- 10:02Speaker 1: person at the podium who's playing the game locks in
- 10:06Speaker 1: their answer. Okay, I'm gonna give you the question again.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:09Speaker 4: A word that reads the same backwards and.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Forward A word, phrase or sequence that reads the same
- 10:14Speaker 2: forward and backwards. So I'm going to give you guys
- 10:16Speaker 2: while they're writing a quick example of.
- 10:19Speaker 4: I can do it right now.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I race car, kayak noon civic.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, these are fun. Okay.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Okay, So, and I think I spelled it wrong, and Easton,
- 10:36Speaker 2: hold yours up.
- 10:37Speaker 1: An acronym and I know it's wrong because an acronym
- 10:43Speaker 1: is like NFL National Football League?
- 10:47Speaker 4: Right? Is it an acronym?
- 10:51Speaker 1: No, it's not an acronym.
- 10:53Speaker 3: That note, Lala, you said acronym.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Why on God's green Earth would you put that as
- 10:57Speaker 2: your answer.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Because it's the only word I know that has You
- 11:01Speaker 1: don't know the definition of it, I do. I just
- 11:04Speaker 1: explained it an acronym NFL National Football League, Okay, gt
- 11:08Speaker 1: L give them la law Okay, that's an acronym. I
- 11:12Speaker 1: put it down because it's the only word I know
- 11:15Speaker 1: that describes other words.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Good for you? What did you put some an X?
- 11:24Speaker 3: She put an X? Easton, Why did you put an X?
- 11:27Speaker 2: I didn't know, Producer John, would you like to take
- 11:30Speaker 2: a shot?
- 11:31Speaker 5: I actually looked it up while you're asking the question.
- 11:33Speaker 5: But real quick, though, what freaking grade level is this?
- 11:37Speaker 5: Because I didn't even know the answer to this.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It is the fifth grade?
- 11:40Speaker 3: Is the fifth grade?
- 11:41Speaker 5: And that's why I struggled in school.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Okay, No, it's hard.
- 11:44Speaker 3: So I'm going to give you guys a hint. It's
- 11:46Speaker 3: A and the.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Answer starts with the P, a pseudonym.
- 11:52Speaker 3: No, that was good. I don't know pal p a
- 11:56Speaker 3: l palin drome when.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You know never that's something the FBI flew in things?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Is that's a drone?
- 12:11Speaker 6: How the FBI catches drug dealers in a palodrome?
- 12:19Speaker 3: I'm done, Okay, we're moving on.
- 12:21Speaker 2: According to the US Constitution, the president is part of
- 12:25Speaker 2: which of the three branches of governments Judicial.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Don't say it out loud, you have to.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I don't even know.
- 12:34Speaker 2: All right, bonus if you can name all three, But
- 12:37Speaker 2: what part? According to the US Constitution, the president is
- 12:40Speaker 2: part of which of the three branches of government?
- 12:45Speaker 1: You guys on the show when when I would be
- 12:49Speaker 1: on at the podium and they'd be like, what's your
- 12:51Speaker 1: strong point, I'm like, well, wasn't great at fifth grade?
- 12:55Speaker 4: Uh?
- 12:56Speaker 1: Not so great at fourth either.
- 12:57Speaker 6: I think anything maybe for grade level is what we
- 13:01Speaker 6: should say.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Everything beyond I like daycare.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I can't guarantee any answers daycares where I'm at pre school? Okay, Okay,
- 13:12Speaker 1: so I wrote it down.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Okay, Eastern, you have five.
- 13:17Speaker 2: So according to the US Constitution, the president is part
- 13:20Speaker 2: of which of the three branches of government?
- 13:23Speaker 3: Did you ever watch school has rock?
- 13:25Speaker 4: No?
- 13:27Speaker 3: Okay? Well five, four, three, two one?
- 13:32Speaker 4: Hold it up the highest one.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:36Speaker 1: So, Laala, you said that you would be so shitty.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Are you smarter than a celebrity because you're not even
- 13:41Speaker 1: like playing the game like you can make it funny.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You can drop picture if you want.
- 13:45Speaker 3: The highest not real, La explain your answer.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Well, the president is at the top of the nation.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Is Congress in that branch. I'll go Congress.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Okay, Eastern, he he had just so the viewers aren't.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Just like being oozledn.
- 14:06Speaker 4: For Congress.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Okay, so I am really quickly google googling the three.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Okay, but judicial.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Okay, name the three branches of government?
- 14:19Speaker 4: Helped me out? Judicial, Congress, Executive, executive.
- 14:24Speaker 3: That's right.
- 14:24Speaker 1: He's a part of the executive branch.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Or she is part.
- 14:28Speaker 1: We haven't had she yet, that's true.
- 14:30Speaker 2: That's true, it's part. Can we name the third? We
- 14:35Speaker 2: have executive? Judicial?
- 14:38Speaker 1: And there's one more, the lower one. Let's start the legislative.
- 14:48Speaker 1: But which one is the highest?
- 14:50Speaker 4: The president?
- 14:51Speaker 1: So technically I got it right?
- 14:53Speaker 3: That's lawless?
- 14:54Speaker 1: Correct?
- 14:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:55Speaker 2: So the legislative branch makes laws, the executive branch in
- 14:59Speaker 2: four laws, and the judicial branch interprets laws. So would
- 15:04Speaker 2: that mean the legislative is highest, makes the laws, and
- 15:07Speaker 2: the executive enforces the laws.
- 15:10Speaker 1: My brain hurts.
- 15:11Speaker 4: I feel like they're all in the same book.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. I never learn anything really
- 15:17Speaker 1: unless it's Housewives related, because I don't retain knowledge. Actually, though,
- 15:22Speaker 1: the one thing that did make all the sense to
- 15:24Speaker 1: me is when uh family Guy broke down how the
- 15:29Speaker 1: United States of America.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Operates see Family Guy. Thank God for Seth Myers.
- 15:34Speaker 3: What Seth myers didn't.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Right, family smacking your head?
- 15:40Speaker 1: I was like, that sounds wrong.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Okay, keep going, okay, what is the capital of Russia?
- 15:47Speaker 2: Don't say it out loud because I feel like you
- 15:49Speaker 2: guys will know this. Write it down if you know,
- 15:51Speaker 2: and if not, guess what is the capital of Russia? D?
- 16:00Speaker 4: D D?
- 16:02Speaker 3: What is the capital of Russia?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Speaking of that, my little brother was vodka for Halloween?
- 16:07Speaker 3: Russian vodka?
- 16:08Speaker 2: I said, in this economy, what are you doing? Are
- 16:11Speaker 2: you doing in this election? Yere?
- 16:14Speaker 3: Okay? So what is the capital of Russia?
- 16:17Speaker 4: One?
- 16:17Speaker 3: Two, three, show your answers?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Lala Kent said, Moscow, Soviet Russia?
- 16:24Speaker 3: Oh, Lala, explain why you think it's Moscow?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Just because I've been there once? Have you? Yeah?
- 16:30Speaker 4: And I think that's true.
- 16:32Speaker 3: You've been there for what for a vacation?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Jess?
- 16:36Speaker 3: Are you for real?
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'm not kidding?
- 16:38Speaker 3: Why would you what?
- 16:40Speaker 1: I was like nine, I'm shook?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Who took you?
- 16:42Speaker 1: My grandmother?
- 16:43Speaker 4: Why is this so weird?
- 16:46Speaker 1: We went on a cruise?
- 16:48Speaker 3: What for me?
- 16:49Speaker 4: It's like, haven't you seen all those little things that
- 16:51Speaker 4: we have, like the dolls that go in the dolls Russia?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Aren't they?
- 16:56Speaker 4: Is?
- 16:56Speaker 3: She Russia, your grandma.
- 16:58Speaker 1: No, it was just like a cruise where we went
- 17:00Speaker 1: to like, oh, we went to Russia, Estonia, Denmark, swedienh
- 17:06Speaker 1: oh fun.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Okay, So Laala said Moscow. This was before all the stuff,
- 17:11Speaker 3: all the stuff.
- 17:12Speaker 4: This was when you were like seven.
- 17:13Speaker 1: It was literally nine years old.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Easton said Soviet Russia. Eastern Why do you think it's
- 17:19Speaker 2: Soviet Russia?
- 17:20Speaker 4: Because it's Russia.
- 17:23Speaker 3: The answer is Moscow, the only one.
- 17:29Speaker 1: It'll be the only one that we got. Right.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Well, I don't know with this next one. What is
- 17:34Speaker 2: the tallest mammal on earth? Don't say it out loud,
- 17:37Speaker 2: write it down. The tallest mammal on earth. We know
- 17:41Speaker 2: what it's not, and that is me.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Write it down.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I think I'm spelling this wrong.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Oh god, okay, three two one reveal. Lala Ken said giraffe.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Eastern Oh said giraffe, Lawa, Why did you say giraffe because.
- 18:01Speaker 4: It's the tallest animal.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Sorry, because he said the tallest mammal, right, mammals, because
- 18:05Speaker 1: you said tall, not long, right, And because a mammal
- 18:11Speaker 1: gives birth to its babies. It doesn't sit on an
- 18:14Speaker 1: egg or anything, and it has the ability to breastfeed,
- 18:17Speaker 1: it's young, and it's the only mammal that I know
- 18:23Speaker 1: that it's that tall, unless we're talking about a dinosaur.
- 18:25Speaker 1: But then we're getting into eggs again.
