  not go to Vault tours. And Sheep was on a cruise, probably having

  Oh, that sounds rough. We drank heavily, but we'll get into that.

  So we uh Sydney decided to buy a cardboard cutout of doctor Sheep and

  uh he went everywhere with us that weekend. He also folds into third so

  it makes for easy, easy traveling. Yeh. By the way, the

  quality on this cardboard cutout life size cardboard cutout, yes, was pretty pretty

  impressive. I don't think it's like the cardboard cutout Sheep was shorter than me,

  and I think me and sheep are about the same height. You're five

  ten, Yeah, I would say the cardboard cutout was about what five six
• 3:46
  maybe? Yeah, it was probably about three inches shorter. Yeah, yeah,

  So but I got some sweet pictures with cardboard cutout Sheep, as did

  a whole bunch of folks. Lots of people have got pictures with cardboard cutouts.

  Photo. There was a photo booth. It was amazing. Yes,

  there was a thing. I'll be posting those over on our Instagram, Twitter,

  real material. There's some only fans there's some good ones for that, some

  spicy ones. But so I tried to register doctor Sheep into the sealed tournament.

  I was told that was no even though we did have his QR code

  and a key available to register Doctor she ready. He was ready, So

  I thought we could. I thought what I could do is just FaceTime Sheep

  and he could play just on the boat. Yeah, that would have been

  nice. See, that would have been one that we could have just had

  one of the judges players card, holds the cards up to the camera just

  played them for him. Vault to run a boat, that's right, would

  have been great. Once again, Josh's rules make it so I can have

  no fun. That's right, you have to actually be there to play.

  I would have really have been terrible, as if he would have opened up

  three just a blue barn burners and went deep like yeah. But we started

  out Friday. We got in and uh, we started out with sealed.

  How did everybody's sealed experience go? So I have to say before we started,

  right, So we get there and you know, I'm saying hat to

  folks, and I'm looking around and I'm just you know, looking at the
• 5:36
  number of folks there and I was like, Oh, there's like not that
• 5:43
  many people here. And I was at that point a little worried about,
• 5:48
  Hey, how is this experience gonna go for the weekend? Like there's I
• 5:55
  mean, we knew there was gonna be you know, it wasn't gonna be
• 5:58
  the biggest fault to our just because of the local but there was less people
• 6:00
  than definitely you were hoping, and like even a few of us are like,
• 6:04
  oh man, there's like not that many people here. Yeah, but
• 6:09
  but spoiler like it was actually awesome. So but we'll get to that.

  We'll get to that. We actually got I think drazzed. Hold on one

  sequikie. I think with that for anyone who had come out to KFC or
• 6:21
  KFC two or even the Minnesota Vault tour last year. That was all took
• 6:27
  place in the larger room that was adjacent to us. We were actually in
• 6:32
  the smaller room, and I thought that they did a really nice job at
• 6:36
  making it feel like you had enough space, but it wasn't too much space,
• 6:42
  so I actually thought that choice to move into the smaller room. They
• 6:45
  then had the streaming folks over in the larger room so they could commentate,
• 6:47
  but it worked out really really well, So congratulations and making that choice,
• 6:53
  Josh, and it did pay out. So we got to play all three
• 6:59
  events. Due to a little bit smaller of a size, we were very
• 7:03
  similar to Seattle's numbers, so we did get to play at Arkan, Alliance
• 7:06
  and Sealed. We started with Sealed. Oh what a relief it was.

  Now this isn't your your your your grandpa sheeps sealed. This was unified Sealed
• 7:18
  all right. Yeah, and I will say for our numbers for anyone who
• 7:23
  was there, I did go ahead and do some actual reporting though. Sealed.

  We ended up with thirty two on Friday night, and then Saturday we
• 7:30
  did Arkon and then Alliance back to back when we had thirty six. Since
• 7:33
  I'm talking about it, An Alliance was twenty nine. So those are the
• 7:38
  numbers that we had for the vaults. But still a great group of people
• 7:41
  to play with. Yeah, I had a ton of fun. I ended
• 7:46
  up going too and two draftscore. How did you fare? Oh? I
• 7:50
  sucked at Sealed. I went, oh two. I went to see you
• 7:56
  next, like I thought that the event you were coming, yes, yes,

  And and I tell you sheep like, we sit down and I opened
• 8:05
  my three decks, and I'm looking at them and I'm like, oh no,
• 8:11
  like came over like so it wasn't that they were no decks ever,
• 8:18
  but but like I was, there's like nothing to lean into, and I
• 8:22
  was looking, I was like, is there ways to combine these? And
• 8:26
  I was like, there's not even three pods that like, I can't even
• 8:33
  get to three pods. So I'm just like normally when you're doing I'm like,
• 8:37
  well, this one has this advantage, this has that advantage, So
• 8:39
  like which should I do? Whatever? I I just I just opened like
• 8:43
  crap and so like seeing the small rooms being the small tendance not good decks,
• 8:50
  I'm like, oh boy, okay, okay. But then but then

  we started playing and sealed is just such a joy. Even though uh,

  I didn't have high hopes, you know, I I played. I did
• 9:09
  okay in the games right, didn't didn't win oh to scrub right, but
• 9:16
  like had great times chatting with folks and just like enjoying the experience going over
• 9:26
  and like telling Cardboard caught out Sheep that I sucked on game one, but
• 9:31
  if you were in my corner, maybe I'd do better in game two with
• 9:35
  with with a better matchup right, and then taking a picture and then going
• 9:39
  back, Well, you could have moved him. It's true I didn't at
• 9:43
  that time, but don't worry. Later I did. But like those two
• 9:48
  games were just fun and like people were having a good time, right,
• 9:54
  And and you know that the second match was against another person who lost the
• 9:58
  first game, and they weren't checkicularly excited about their decks either, but we
• 10:03
  were just chatting and playing and like having fun, and like the enjoyment level,
• 10:09
  like I don't know what, Like the enjoyment level was just rising even
• 10:11
  though I was sucking, and it was great. It's because of the pressure
• 10:16
  is off, right, there's not as much press a little bit like once
• 10:20
  you're like like you're able to relax. We're like, oh okay, not
• 10:24
  that anybody expected anything from a former Sealed Vault Tour winner, No expectations,
• 10:30
  no pressure. Yeah yeah no. It's like if I had just one deck
• 10:35
  from from either the my stores store champs or from the one they went to
• 10:43
  a Baltimore or uh like I would, I would have much better chance.

  But but now I really didn't open anything for for better or worse, which
• 10:54
  can happen in sealed, right, and if you're a fan of sealed you
• 10:56
  just accept that sometimes you're gonna get something where you're like, m, I
• 11:01
  don't really have any counters. I don't really have any stuff to really do
• 11:05
  that much. You got no spice, no but DT not tt GRPE,
• 11:13
  Well that does, that's true, but gr is just a fun set,
• 11:16
  so like, it was still fun to play and completely there and balanced and
• 11:26
  fun. Well so without Ecto Charge being superpowered, I didn't feel like,
• 11:31
  you know, if you opened Ecto Charge, you just had an immediate advantage.

  Right, and the other crazy combos in set are far less likely in
• 11:43
  a sealed environment, though, though still possible, not true they're deaf.

  Well, they're definitely less likely than getting just a single Ecto charge, But
• 11:56
  right, a common and a uncut and cross house is less likely than just
• 12:01
  a common isn't key abduction uncommon? That's right? Yeah? So yeah he

  wins a death key abduction cross house. Yeah so that's less than Ecto charge
• 12:16
  AnyWho, But winds of death doesn't help ecdo charge anyway, keep going sure?

  Sure? Sure? So? Uh well, now I played my games

  out and had a good time and went from there. Other people did far
• 12:33
  better, right, I think e walk Wookie, you guys did far better

  than me. Right, Well, I went too, and two I did

  open a little bit of spice. I did have a Geystoid pod that did
• 12:45
  have winds of Death nice. And I did have a Brobnar pod that did
• 12:48
  have mic makes Right that was able to pull off the mic makes right with
• 12:52
  just the Brobnar creatures that were in there and away to cycle it on and
• 12:56
  do it all over again. I presented the loop to Nova game one,
• 13:03
  and after that she's like, yeah, you got it. That was it
• 13:07
  for me. However, I face Nova round one, I take down Nova.
• 13:13
  I face JR. Round two, take down JR. I still nice.

  I still think he could have won that game had he played his pester
• 13:20
  Grove. It is definitely the line. And then uh, then I proceeded
• 13:28
  to brick the next two games. Both games went up against what do we
• 13:33
  Winka. I'm not calling Windka, I am not. I am not calling
• 13:43
  it vodka. That is the dubbest name ever. I hate it. Well,
• 13:48
  I don't know it's getting traction. You gotta come up with a better
• 13:54
  one. Then, yeah, Windka it was just fine. There was nothing
• 13:56
  wrong with it. And then it's like, oh, it's cool, we're
• 14:00
  gonna call it vodka m m. And then we'll just call it vodka if
• 14:05
  we don't need to screw up my favorite alcohol. But some of us did
• 14:09
  do the whole Top eight a thing. Jr. Yeah, So Sealed actually
• 14:15
  opened up pretty well for me. Three of my decks all had Brobnar.

  I did have a little bit of thought on which line to take, and
• 14:24
  that was do I actually play a straight ARCon deck or do I play a
• 14:30
  Alliance deck for the sealed Alliance. I ended up actually rolling with an ARCon
• 14:35
  deck. It was too close on the call. The third house was going
• 14:39
  to be Brobnar, and the Brobnar that came in my sealed deck actually had
• 14:45
  a better line in my opinion, and there wasn't anything that was really offered
• 14:48
  by a better choice. Now, part of this was that the other two
• 14:52
  decks, compared to the one that I ended up using, just really were
• 14:58
  oh hu, they were pretty average, pretty poor, to be honest,
• 15:01
  and nothing was really spicy. I did have Geistoid in there, but honestly,
• 15:07
  this Geistoid was not worth the play. And so I know everyone keeps
• 15:11
  talking about Geistoit, Geistead, Geistoid and it is extremely powerful, but know
• 15:15
  your outs and play to what is going to help you to be most successful
• 15:20
  for sealed. And so with that, I played my ARCon deck and my
• 15:24
  line was actually a double till of the Earth with some haunting witches and specifically
• 15:33
  pester Grove. I actually had seventeen printed amber, which is always a great
• 15:37
  line to be able to take for sealed, but the key really was the
• 15:41
  pester Grove for my individual deck, and I ended up going ahead and going
• 15:48
  out in the top four. And that was the second time where it came
• 15:52
  out very very late or didn't come out at all. In that top four
• 15:56
  match, it didn't come out at all and Wookie, I faced Campmorrow in
• 16:00
  game one. I won that three to one. I faced you in game
• 16:04
  two and it did come out. It came out very very late in our
• 16:08
  match. I struggled with this play. I actually was two cards away from
• 16:18
  being haunted, and I had double haunting Witches in the deck for the Untamed,
• 16:23
  so it did like to be able to burst. I know the importance
• 16:29
  of playing pester Grove, but I actually made a choice to discard pester Grove
• 16:33
  to get me to ten for the Haunting Witch and That's where Bookie and I
• 16:38
  had both like, I really haven't been hot about this because pester Grove just
• 16:41
  shuts down so many other decks and sealed Geistoid that wants to reap. Nope,
• 16:45
  pester Grove says, you're not reaping because you're coming in enraged. And
• 16:49
  so that was really the call and kind of the play that I had looked
• 16:53
  at. I did make the choice not to play it in the game instead
• 16:59
  to take a creature in retrospect. That creature only gave me an extra amber
• 17:02
  because there was an amber on pester Grove itself, so I was generating too
• 17:06
  off of that versus the one. But pester Grove just shut down and Wiki
• 17:11
  basically went to town after that. It was kind of back and forth,
• 17:15
  but it allowed him to be able to reap. So action did my deck
• 17:26
  I had, So basically I had one arc. I should have just played
• 17:30
  the arc on deck now looking back into sass on it, but you know,
• 17:33
  Wookie being Wookie, it was too tempting to take that key sheep and
• 17:37
  just you know, take the Equaedon out and gim jam and Jam and Brobner
• 17:41
  because I basically more or less just took out one house for another. I
• 17:48
  had double memrocks the reds with two rebels with double in here somewhere and triple
• 17:53
  scoop ups and double lamets. Oh, triple scoop up. Nice with that.

  Yeah. The memorrocks is what's really dangerous because there's very little interaction for
• 18:02
  it with winds of Death. Yeah. Yeah, well I didn't even win
• 18:07
  to death. I think I scooped. I think I in here somewhere and
• 18:11
  was just able to Memorrocks Memorrocks Iron ex Rebel, Iron X Rebel and just
• 18:15
  get like eighteen number or something like that. I think I had six cards
• 18:18
  and in archive at the time and just basically grabbed eighteen numbers. So the
• 18:26
  three keys right there, right, But Hattie played pester Grove. That makes
• 18:32
  that makes those memorrocks play is not so playable. Right. Well, so
• 18:37
  at that point, please know that Memorrocks had been played, it had been
• 18:41
  killed and wiped, but you still had the winds of death, which I
• 18:45
  probably should have guessed that you had, and so the chance for the winds
• 18:49
  of death to bring it back and then put a few more items in archives.
• 18:53
  I made the choice to honestly push for key three, I was up
• 18:56
  two keys, and I made the choice to push versus to play the Pastor
• 19:02
  Grove, and I quickly learned that that was not it that Wookie was.
• 19:06
  It was not in a closing space, but I really needed a little bit
• 19:10
  more time, and so I took the loss. Round three, I ended
• 19:12
  up facing Moys from Minnesota and I won three keys to one. Pastor Grove
• 19:18
  turned up immediately in that one round one, and honestly, anytime that pest
• 19:22
  Grove showed up early, it was real advantage for me. Round four,
• 19:26
  I faced Metapps and again went three keys to one, and so I lucked
• 19:30
  out made top eight for sealed, So you know, congratulations, I mean,
• 19:37
  well, not necessarily for me, but for everyone who's there. So
• 19:41
  Sunday we had named DG Long, Eureka, se Steel Vargast, myself,
• 19:47
  Hurricane Relic, and then fire sprayl One, so a lot of great players.

  It was really neat to be able to see and it was a great
• 19:53
  way to start off on that Friday. Yeah, so I breaked my next
• 19:59
  two and and it's just just a little bit outside. You'll notice a trend

  for me this whole weekend. It pretty much wraps up day. One notable

  things is that you're you are not allowed. Well I don't know if you're

  not allowed, but we were not given the option to like, here are

  my decks, these are the ones I would like to play with. Now.

  Something tells me it has something to do with the archons corner recealing glue

  that sales they really did. You were upon getting your goodie bag which had

  a pin. What our goody bags had? They had a pin in it?

  It was the bag you got a KFC had a pin, and it

  was there was something else in it? Oh yeah, well I had the

  three. But then it had a vault Master twenty four. Yes, yes,

  a vault sadness unless you got quad routine jobs. I haven't right,

  I haven't even opened most of mine. Yts, yep, there stills.

  I opened one and it had a had an artanu in it. I was
• 21:03
  going to use it for shredder later on in the weekend, and then I
• 21:04
  went, nope, it's got an art time and I got to give you

  a sheep. So so, speaking of the vault Master twenty fours, so

  so right, I didn't I didn't do that great and sealed and looking like
• 21:18
  I said, looking at my decks, I was like, oh. So

  then I was like, all right, well Josh has there's the second numbers
• 21:26
  revamp, so I'm gonna try it. And I said, well, I'm
• 21:29
  definitely not playing any of the stuff that I got from, you know,
• 21:33
  for the main event, So I'm just going to open my Vaultmester twenty four
• 21:38
  and I'm gonna play that whatever it is. And deck was a lot of
• 21:45
  fun. It it did well if it was able to just you know,
• 21:51
  win all the matches that I played then, and it was a it was
• 21:56
  a Fagan Urchin deck with uh, a Ronnie a hit and run, a
• 22:03
  bad penny with a capture on it, which was kind of fun. And
• 22:08
  then triple memo leach. So I was just feeling like crazy. So you
• 22:14
  basically you had a dexter that's pretty much what a capture pip on it isn't
• 22:21
  it kind of but it was going to my hand so uh, and then
• 22:25
  the vendas avenda and javenda, so I would just kill a bad penny bringing
• 22:30
  my hand, capture, you know, capture, kill the bad penny,
• 22:32
  bring in my hand, discard their card, play the bad penny, capture.

  Uh, steal one play it capture right, So it was it was
• 22:40
  kind of fun, right, it was. It was a thing right that's
• 22:41
  like it's sealed. You got to look for like the silly things that won't
• 22:45
  really work on ARCon but you may happen con sealed. Right. So I

  saw this deck and I was like, oh, I could do like silly
• 22:52
  things with this deck. Yeah, yeah, and so so so and it

  was run. It was run differently than last year the second Amber, right,
• 23:06
  so it was like you like you did have to go over and say,

  hey, I want to enter, and you got like a ticket for
• 23:11
  entering, so you know, for a prize or whatever, so encourage you
• 23:15
  to enter a little bit. But then it was in lockstep with the main
• 23:21
  tournament, which I thought was good, and it was like paired just like
• 23:26
  the main tournament. Uh and uh so it was in play style and well
• 23:33
  in theory, in play style. So I just had a uh error.

  It was higher weekend all weekend for like the field. I did not have
• 23:45
  this issue, but almost yeah everyone else did. Yeah, some people had
• 23:49
  it working. I did not. I never once got past the you know,
• 23:53
  go to app screen, but whatever, that wasn't important. I just
• 23:57
  went and bothered, uh, you know, Josh or somebody to tell me
• 24:02
  where to go. And and the second number, people were having fun.

  We were just you know, commiserating about getting knocked out. But but honestly,

  like, you know what, so last season when people got knocked out
• 24:18
  and they felt like they you know, missed the opportunity for like a big
• 24:21
  prize, especially if they were knocked out when they thought they were close,
• 24:25
  like people were like down a little bit. I didn't really feel like people
• 24:27
  were down. In second number, people were like, oh, we're playing
• 24:30
  this now, We're having a good time. Like it was a good vibe
• 24:33
  over that because we found out the boxes were Vault Master twenty four. Well
• 24:37
  maybe that's We're like, we ain't playing for nothing now, so it don't
• 24:42
  matter. I mean, people don't really know. I mean, I guess
• 24:45
  we're figuring out how good that set is. That the thought is it's not
• 24:49
  good. And people were a little bit like I wish it was gr because
• 24:55
  gr is fire right right now, right fire. But people were just having
• 25:03
  a good time. I was having a great time, like it was just
• 25:08
  fun. It was the group of it was the group of people I will
• 25:12
  say, shout it out, Josh, you want to make sure that we
• 25:15
  get some sheets up or a large screen that could be turned on so we
• 25:18
  know where to beat. Well you you say no, but but you're gonna
• 25:29
  have to make sure that that can be kind of fixed. I think that
• 25:32
  it was handled appropriately and that we could go ahead and actually find where our
• 25:36
  seats were. But all of as we ended up going ahead and playing three
• 25:41
  events, there are a couple of things that could have been sped up.

  The server air was not a great site for Hey, we're at home,
• 25:49
  here's our first of all. Uh, it kind of was a black eye.

  But I think we handled it well and that people just came up,
• 25:56
  We found our spots and we moved on. But I would definitely recommend having
• 26:00
  print out sheets as a backup something to be able to look at it.

  And it happed me at all. Maybe it's because I'm not used to play
• 26:07
  a style as much as you guys were from last year. That could be
• 26:11
  I didn't I didn't go to I didn't go to nearly as many vaults,
• 26:14
  so you guys are much more used to it than I was. Yeah,

  and I will say I actually really liked last year's vaults, where you had
• 26:19
  the QR code, and it was easy enough for people to scan. It
• 26:22
  was kind of assumed. I know, we have a lot of a lot
• 26:26
  of individuals who have been in the community, and so ninety nine percent of
• 26:30
  us knew what was happening. But there was a section where I think it
• 26:34
  was actually Saturday that two individuals are like it was announced that spots were seated
• 26:41
  and you should go to play Style, and they're like, whoa, wait,
• 26:44
  what where? What what do I have to do? Huh yeah,
• 26:47
  And so I just quickly caught them up onto it. The app was easy
• 26:49
  enough to be able to get into, and they were fine the rest of
• 26:52
  the time. But just making sure that that QR code is out giving an
• 26:57
  option where you know, if we had the screen, it would have been
• 27:00
  really nice to be able to see, hey, you're scrolling down in these
• 27:03
  spots, but and we could have technology is off, Technologies off. We
• 27:07
  made it work. It was fine, and we could have watched WrestleMania,

  have it on the background. You could have put cardboard sheep facing the TV

  to or that's right, and then she could never say he's never watched wrestling.
