- 0:15Speaker 1: or you could do two separate ones. What's the hardest
- 0:18Speaker 1: thing you have ever done?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Now you mentioned this morning bell, Oh it's for women.
- 0:23Speaker 2: It's got to be childbirth. Yeah, And that didn't even
- 0:27Speaker 2: occur to me when I really think.

- 0:41Speaker 1: Well, what's the hardest thing you've ever done?
- 0:42Speaker 2: The hardest thing I've ever done is is take care
- 0:47Speaker 2: of somebody who was dying of cancer.

- 0:52Speaker 3: get depressing really quick.
- 0:54Speaker 2: No, but this could be like, oh, I did this
- 0:57Speaker 2: really hard thing and you know, you know, like I
- 0:59Speaker 2: would say.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Bill, you going to Nepal? That probably a really hard thing,
- 1:04Speaker 1: Probably the hardest thing I've ever done. It was physically
- 1:07Speaker 1: and emotionally. It was difficult going walking from the Luk
- 1:17Speaker 1: air base or the air landing strip up to the
- 1:20Speaker 1: base camp of Mount Everest, that was really really hard.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Here's one quitting smoking cigarettes very hard.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I have done that. Let's see.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Uh oh, let's go to Ranger Kate, shall we I
- 1:35Speaker 3: Ranger Kate?
- 1:36Speaker 1: How are you?
- 1:37Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:37Speaker 5: There we are, good morning.
- 1:40Speaker 1: What's the hardest thing you've ever done?
- 1:43Speaker 2: I well, I'm sure some of you guys can test
- 1:46Speaker 2: to this. I think it is having to.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Bury your parents say goodbye.
- 1:51Speaker 3: This this is going to get very depressing.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I just recently lost my mom, like last week, so
- 2:00Speaker 2: recently went.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that is it's it's it is hard, and you
- 2:06Speaker 1: do sort of you get over it. But it's funny
- 2:10Speaker 1: there there are just certain times, for no reason, I'll
- 2:13Speaker 1: think about my mom and just kind of yeah, you know.
- 2:18Speaker 5: It's always expected, but never expected at the same time.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all right, thanks Kate, thank you.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And it like we said, I mean, it doesn't have
- 2:29Speaker 2: to be that. It could be like a feat.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Something that was that was difficult to do. Yeah, I mean,
- 2:33Speaker 1: like going to base camp of Everest. In the long run,
- 2:36Speaker 1: it was like, yeah I did that, damn it. All right.
- 2:39Speaker 3: See, here's one pretending to be a good Mormon for
- 2:41Speaker 3: ten years and not blow up my life, pretending family
- 2:45Speaker 3: and I are out now and everything's good. Let's see,
- 2:49Speaker 3: I coached four soccer teams for one season.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It was miserable.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Does this is this is the kind of stuff I want? Yeah, okay,
- 2:57Speaker 3: let's go to h Jen.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Hello? Jen? There you are, Jen? What's up? What? What's
- 3:02Speaker 1: the hardest thing? Hey?
- 3:05Speaker 6: Earlier you were saying child bearing was the hardest thing.
- 3:07Speaker 5: That that is not hard. What is hard is raising
- 3:11Speaker 5: the child when they are teenagers.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Goodness, Hey, give me child birth any day. Do do what?
- 3:17Speaker 1: It's not so hard. If you I've got a tip
- 3:19Speaker 1: for you. So it's not so hard. Ignore them, just
- 3:23Speaker 1: ignore them completely.
- 3:26Speaker 5: I'll have to try that.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you, all right, thank you, thank you
- 3:30Speaker 1: very much. Let's go to uh Ryan, Hello, Ryan, Ryan,
- 3:34Speaker 1: what's the hardest thing you've ever done?
- 3:38Speaker 7: Quite using, albeit after twenty five years.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Of abuse, twenty five years of a few it says
- 3:44Speaker 1: here heroin did were you? Were you shooting Heroin?
- 3:48Speaker 7: Uh?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:50Speaker 4: For the majority of the time.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's you know, and I don't know what what?
- 3:58Speaker 1: How did you do it? Do you know? How did
- 4:01Speaker 1: you get off?
- 4:04Speaker 7: So it was a combination of things. I was on parole,
- 4:08Speaker 7: my dad had just died, and I was in prison
- 4:12Speaker 7: again after my sister had died the first time I
- 4:16Speaker 7: was in there, and I know I didn't want to
- 4:21Speaker 7: do that to buy mom as well as I just
- 4:24Speaker 7: wanted to be out from under the thumb of the state.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all right, good, well, good for you, Ryan,
- 4:32Speaker 1: Thank you, Ryan, glad you're doing well. Thanks. All right,
- 4:36Speaker 1: that's it, the X fool. What is the hardest thing
- 4:39Speaker 1: you ever did, either physically or emotionally. I would say,
- 4:43Speaker 1: also my back surgeries a bit work. Those are really rough.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh my god. The wound well, oh my god.
- 4:54Speaker 3: The wound vack chronicles.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, just what an awful ordeal that was. Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle.
- 5:02Speaker 1: All right, let's go to uh Josie, Hi, Josie, Josie
- 5:09Speaker 1: are you there?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Hi?
- 5:10Speaker 7: Hi?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah. What's the hardest thing you ever did?
- 5:15Speaker 3: Stopp being at random people in the streets for nineteen
- 5:18Speaker 3: months in England to talk about religion?
- 5:21Speaker 5: Oh oh wait, to talk about religion?
- 5:23Speaker 3: And I will never do that again. That was so awkward.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You were you were a sister missionary? Were you?
- 5:29Speaker 7: I was?
- 5:30Speaker 1: Yeah? And what was what was your conversion rate? Let's see,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I had five baptisms, but I don't think any of
- 5:41Speaker 1: them go to church anymore. What's didn't Jake? What what
- 5:45Speaker 1: part of England were you in doing this? I was
- 5:49Speaker 1: in Manchester, Manchester pretty rough city, be rough for you?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Five is impressive then? Yeah. Really our former boss Jim,
- 5:59Speaker 1: he's of his mission in Scotland, and he said it
- 6:03Speaker 1: was amazing if you even got one in the whole
- 6:06Speaker 1: time you were there Scott Like I.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Said, I don't know if you're legit, but I did
- 6:10Speaker 3: go back last September and got to sit on the
- 6:13Speaker 3: bus without having to pull a.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Book and Mormon out.
- 6:15Speaker 2: It was amazing.
- 6:16Speaker 1: All just all right, Thanks Josie, thank you. Mark. Hello, Mark,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I'm Mark. What's the toughest thing I ever did? What?
- 6:27Speaker 1: What is it?
- 6:29Speaker 4: Well, the toughest thing I ever did is depressing. I'm
- 6:31Speaker 4: not going to talk about that. But a really, really
- 6:34Speaker 4: hard thing I did was an extended hospital stay. And
- 6:37Speaker 4: my hands are amputated and coming back from uh you know,
- 6:42Speaker 4: the burns or the burns and the skin grafts and
- 6:45Speaker 4: the amputations and living my life over the last few
- 6:48Speaker 4: years with the hooks where my hands used to be.
- 6:50Speaker 4: That's been not a lot of fun.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we know. Mark, and you have, and yet
- 6:55Speaker 1: you've managed to retain a pretty positive attitude about it,
- 6:59Speaker 1: that's true.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I've found that giving back and being of service.
- 7:06Speaker 4: You know, I peer mentor at a couple of hospitals
- 7:09Speaker 4: because of my experiences, and that's been the most rewarding
- 7:13Speaker 4: aspect of the whole ord deal.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Well, you're always positive every time we see you. So
- 7:18Speaker 3: nice to hear from you, Mark, You're a good example.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Well, thank you. Thanks for having me on.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Ye.
- 7:24Speaker 3: All right, let's see hardest thing I've ever done, deconstructing
- 7:30Speaker 3: my religion while remaining respectful of family members and friends
- 7:34Speaker 3: still in the religion despite how they treat me, my wife,
- 7:38Speaker 3: and our kids.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Let's go to Pat. Hello, Pat, Pat, what's your story?
- 7:43Speaker 7: Hi?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Hi, what's your story?
- 7:46Speaker 4: The hardest thing I ever did was get divorced.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Why was it so hard?
- 7:51Speaker 3: My kids just didn't understand why, and my friends wondered why.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It's a peaceful Yeah, exactly, Yeah, Yeah, it's a lot
- 8:02Speaker 1: of people stay married. I mean, my mother stayed married for.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I stayed married longer than I should have till Carrie
- 8:09Speaker 2: and Sue rescued me.
- 8:14Speaker 1: It was come along, come along, It's okay.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Let's go over here.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Well, but you did it, Pat, congratulations. All eat.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Let's see surviving federal prison and then thriving after coming home.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You know who this is? Yeah, we do. We love you.
- 8:32Speaker 3: You have to tell me, I'm let's see. Oh, here's
- 8:35Speaker 3: a tough one. Realizing your friends really your friends.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Oh that's hard. Yeah, realizing your friends are not really
- 8:43Speaker 1: your friends.
- 8:45Speaker 3: One. Here's relearning how to jump rope as an adult.
- 8:50Speaker 3: This is hard.
- 8:52Speaker 1: That is tricky. I used to be able to double dutch.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I don't think I can do that anymore.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Kicking my abuse of alcoholic husband out and changing the
- 9:01Speaker 3: locks there.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Well, it was good for both of us. It looks
- 9:06Speaker 1: like Milo's there. Milo is here. Hello, Hi you guys.
- 9:12Speaker 6: How are you guys doing to day?
- 9:13Speaker 1: We're okay, Milo. What's the toughest thing you ever did?
- 9:17Speaker 6: I used to be a long lot trucker, so I'd
- 9:19Speaker 6: be gone for like six weeks at a time and
- 9:21Speaker 6: then be back for one. So that's pretty hard being
- 9:23Speaker 6: away from my family.
- 9:24Speaker 3: For that long.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Or or it could be a blessing, you know.
- 9:31Speaker 6: No, that's hard when they're little kids.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yeah, missing so much that Yeah, but you're not doing
- 9:36Speaker 1: that anymore.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Right now, I'm doing something else a lot easier, so
- 9:41Speaker 6: I get to see them every day.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So good for you. Thank you always nice to hear
- 9:48Speaker 1: from you. Milo. Thanks.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Right, let's see, uh figuring out exactly where to put
- 9:55Speaker 3: the lighter to light a fart?
- 9:57Speaker 1: What that's hard? Really? Yeah, that's tough.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Completing a master's degree while pregnant with twins.
- 10:05Speaker 2: That sounds really all.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You know, really, when you when you're doing that lighting,
- 10:09Speaker 1: the part thing is if you have your brother hold
- 10:11Speaker 1: the lighter. Yeah, the best thing. That's really what works out.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Okay, here's another quitting smoking. I know I will never
- 10:18Speaker 3: smoke again because I don't ever want to go through
- 10:20Speaker 3: quitting again. Yeah, let's been there too. Yeah, that's the
- 10:25Speaker 3: hardest thing I've had to do is wake up this morning.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Oh well, you're doing pretty well.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Then.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Oh here's one. This is interesting. I wish this person
- 10:33Speaker 3: would call learning the Navajo language so I can keep
- 10:36Speaker 3: the language alive.
- 10:38Speaker 1: That's a good one. That's not Nate is I don't
- 10:42Speaker 1: know it might be Nate.
- 10:42Speaker 3: See, that's why we need you to call in on
- 10:44Speaker 3: the All right, let's go to Richard.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Hello, Richard, Hi, Richard, Hey, guys, that's going. Okay, what's
- 10:50Speaker 1: the toughest thing you ever did?
- 10:52Speaker 5: So back in twenty eleven, I broke my back rock climbing,
- 10:58Speaker 5: but I was at I was pretty far away from everything.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I was in a valley of fire National Park, had
- 11:07Speaker 5: a buddy from France with me. He didn't speak very
- 11:09Speaker 5: good English. So when I landed on my back, busted
- 11:13Speaker 5: in L five, had a burst fracture. I couldn't move
- 11:16Speaker 5: my legs, so he and I had to finangle my
- 11:20Speaker 5: way about a mile and a half to the parking lot,
- 11:22Speaker 5: and then he had to drive me to the hospital
- 11:25Speaker 5: where I almost you know, on the way out, I'm
- 11:28Speaker 5: like talking to him in French. I'm like, hey, buddy,
- 11:30Speaker 5: here's my ID, here's my insurance card if I passed out,
- 11:35Speaker 5: Like here's what you need to say in English, and
- 11:38Speaker 5: he's just like, please, don't, please don't.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I bet you were you were in you were in
- 11:42Speaker 1: a quite a bit of pain as well.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Well. It was the shock wore off about forty five
- 11:49Speaker 5: minutes afterwards, because we were an hour's drive from Las Vegas,
- 11:54Speaker 5: so we hit like bumper to bumper downtown Vegas traffic
- 11:59Speaker 5: a mile before our exit and then That's when everything
- 12:02Speaker 5: just kind of clicked and I go, oh my, this
- 12:04Speaker 5: is the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life.
- 12:07Speaker 5: Everything started going bright and I'm like, oh no, oh no,
- 12:11Speaker 5: here we go. But he ended up getting me to
- 12:13Speaker 5: the hospital. They came in, did an emergency X ray,
- 12:17Speaker 5: and the doctor comes in. He says, so we're gonna
- 12:20Speaker 5: get you ready for surgery, and I go, are you
- 12:22Speaker 5: sure I didn't just like like really bruise it?
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, And how's your recovery? How's your recovery?
- 12:32Speaker 5: So, like, I still have a numbness in my left leg.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I have about like eighty five percent mobility in it
- 12:38Speaker 5: because it was one hundred percent compromise. Like the bone
- 12:41Speaker 5: when it burst, it went into the spinal column and
- 12:44Speaker 5: it almost severed.
- 12:45Speaker 1: All of the Yeah.
- 12:46Speaker 5: No, and the fact that the fact that I was
- 12:48Speaker 5: all done walking, now like that's a a huge deal.
- 12:52Speaker 1: All right, Well, thank you, right, Richard? Thanks Richard.
