- 0:03Speaker 1: point three KJRFM Sports Headlines, Good.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Morning, Happy Thursday. Headlines are brought to you by Frost
- 0:09Speaker 2: Brute Course Like just Hill Seahawks training Camp, Day ten,
- 0:13Speaker 2: Jackson Smith and Jig but dominated the practice. Catch us
- 0:15Speaker 2: all over the field from Sam Donald, Jake Bobo and
- 0:18Speaker 2: rookie third round pick Julian and Neil. Still having practice
- 0:21Speaker 2: in over a week because of injuries. Light day in
- 0:24Speaker 2: shorts today for the team and act practice. As Mike
- 0:27Speaker 2: McDonald calls it, that'll we wearing bucket hats out there
- 0:30Speaker 2: in the sun today.
- 0:31Speaker 3: I mean good, it's pretty sunny.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yeah, they went hard yesterday about three hours. We're going
- 0:35Speaker 2: to talk about the longer practices. Mike McDonald's been having
- 0:38Speaker 2: stories up on that right now at the Newstribune dot com.
- 0:41Speaker 2: As is a story on Noah Igbinoghany, who you heard
- 0:43Speaker 2: about yesterday on the show and talking to us. Aaron
- 0:47Speaker 2: Donald worked out again for the Rams. This time he
- 0:49Speaker 2: had a helmet on, so that forced by NFL rules
- 0:51Speaker 2: the Rams that report him to the league as a
- 0:53Speaker 2: quote tryout player. Yesterday we'll talk to far Hunt Walls
- 0:56Speaker 2: ets in Canada. He's in Rams camp. Talk us to
- 1:00Speaker 2: from La at eleven o'clock. The Mariners live and die
- 1:03Speaker 2: almost by the home run, right every night home runs
- 1:06Speaker 2: are not home runs. Well, last night they lived by it.
- 1:10Speaker 4: First pitch cat me to Julio.
- 1:12Speaker 2: He shoots this deep out to right field, carry back.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It's a three run bum run and Julio puts the
- 1:20Speaker 2: Mariners out of the board.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Oh does that feel good up here? I know it
- 1:26Speaker 4: feels good for him.
- 1:27Speaker 2: That's a huge swing right there. Aaron Goesmith and Jay
- 1:32Speaker 2: being around the call in Mariner's TV. It was zero zero,
- 1:34Speaker 2: two outs in the sixth when that happened. And how
- 1:38Speaker 2: many times that was a pitch on the outside half
- 1:39Speaker 2: of the plate? First? How many times have we seen
- 1:42Speaker 2: him roll that over or foil it off or just
- 1:44Speaker 2: miss it. Julio Rodriguez, that was progress at an outside
- 1:47Speaker 2: pitch that he took the right field for a home
- 1:49Speaker 2: run that won the game three to zero. There, Cold
- 1:52Speaker 2: Emerson had a home run in a night eighth inn
- 1:54Speaker 2: excuse me for an insurance run to make it four
- 1:56Speaker 2: to two Mariners to win last night, even in the series,
- 2:00Speaker 2: a game apiece actually saw some fire reliever Gabe Spier
- 2:03Speaker 2: got ejected for hitting Liabra Torres with a pitch Dan
- 2:07Speaker 2: Wilson a scuffle. Dan Wilson came out of the dugout
- 2:10Speaker 2: fire like yeah, he does have a pulse. He got ejected.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Third and final game of the series is today at
- 2:16Speaker 2: the Yard, and guess who's starting for Detroit, Framber Valdez.
- 2:21Speaker 2: There may be some more hit better hijinks at the
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yard today. One ten, Bryce Miller's starting for the ends
- 2:25Speaker 2: of three games under five hundred, two and a half
- 2:27Speaker 2: games back at first place in the Al West. The Sounders, man,
- 2:32Speaker 2: it's getting bad for them. They got drilled three nothing
- 2:34Speaker 2: down in Mexico. No surprise that to Luca's the winner
- 2:36Speaker 2: to the two of the last three League MX championships
- 2:39Speaker 2: that's been in the League's Cup last night. But that's
- 2:41Speaker 2: the seventh consecutive loss across all competitions for the Sounders.
- 2:45Speaker 2: College football, the Washington Huskies begins a preseason practices today
- 2:49Speaker 2: on Mott Lake. If you're listening to Chuck Powell this
- 2:52Speaker 2: morning about eight o'clock or so, you heard at least
- 2:55Speaker 2: what we're talking about. Her voice of the Husky's debut
- 2:57Speaker 2: that's going to be coming up in about a few
- 2:59Speaker 2: weeks now. The train camp, preseason camp and college football
- 3:02Speaker 2: begins in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Bill Belichick announced at
- 3:05Speaker 2: the University of North Carolina today to The Sun. Steve
- 3:08Speaker 2: the former Washington Huskies defensive coordinator on indefinite medical league
- 3:13Speaker 2: from the same job with his dad's Tar Heels in
- 3:17Speaker 2: North Carolina. Now on with the Thursday Show. Hello, Good morning,
- 3:20Speaker 2: Jessmin mcintoe.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Good morning, Sarah. Yeah, no, I haven't seen you all week.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I've been stuck in here asking for talkbacks, waiting for
- 3:30Speaker 3: your voices, and now I get to see you.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's better a little rapport went through the window
- 3:34Speaker 2: instead of nameless, faceless, sightless out at the Seahawks training camp.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I'm here today because the training camp practices this afternoon
- 3:43Speaker 2: at one o'clock or to one o'clock for about an
- 3:46Speaker 2: hour and T shirts and bucket hats and no media
- 3:48Speaker 2: availability to players until after that. So that's why I'm
- 3:52Speaker 2: here in the studio, because I don't have to be
- 3:54Speaker 2: there in the morning. In Seahawks Land, every hour, every weekday,
- 3:59Speaker 2: we give you a chance to win one thousand dollars
- 4:01Speaker 2: Bonus Bucks contest brought to you by a sports radar
- 4:03Speaker 2: ninety three point three KJRFM and Bellevue Rare Coins on gold.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Now's the time to sell it. Bellvue Rare Coins for
- 4:09Speaker 2: convenient locations across Puget Sound, Bell View Rare cooins dot com.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Bonus bucks hout works every hour six am to seven pm.
- 4:16Speaker 2: We give you a keyword in our website. You get
- 4:18Speaker 2: a chance at one thousand dollars this hour. The word
- 4:20Speaker 2: is bonus. I'm not gonna spell it. I almost did jument,
- 4:23Speaker 2: but I stopped for you. Thank you bonus. If you
- 4:27Speaker 2: don't know how to spell bonus, you don't get a
- 4:28Speaker 2: chance at one thousand dollars.
- 4:30Speaker 3: And don't text it in please yes, we.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Don't need on the text line we needed on nine
- 4:33Speaker 2: three three KJR dot com. I'll have another word for
- 4:37Speaker 2: you next hour on the show. Today. What I saw
- 4:41Speaker 2: and heard tenth practice at Seahawk Training Camp yesterday and
- 4:45Speaker 2: I mentioned Jackson Smith and Jigbo ten twenty five. You're
- 4:49Speaker 2: here from Montre Foster Junior.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Who's that? He's a substitute teacher at Lakewood Saint Edwards
- 4:55Speaker 2: High School just outside his hometown of Cleveland and he's
- 4:59Speaker 2: also a c Super Bowl champion trying to make the
- 5:01Speaker 2: team again.
- 5:02Speaker 3: It's very Kurt Warner vibes when it comes to that.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yes, he's a wide receiver trying to make the team
- 5:08Speaker 2: as on special teams in a crowded wide receiver field.
- 5:11Speaker 2: He was a substitute teacher all of last season. The
- 5:15Speaker 2: Seahawks called him at the end of December, signed me
- 5:17Speaker 2: to the practice squad and then Lake with Saint ed
- 5:21Speaker 2: my nephews went there. I have a lot of ties
- 5:23Speaker 2: to that area and grew up in Ohio. Lake with
- 5:26Speaker 2: Stan called Monterrey Foster in the first week of January
- 5:29Speaker 2: when school Christmas break was over and said, Hey, can
- 5:32Speaker 2: you come back in substitute teach tomorrow? And he said,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm in Seattle. I'm actually getting ready to
- 5:37Speaker 2: go out to practice for the Seahawks. You ever heard
- 5:39Speaker 2: of them? I'm in the NFL now. He made thirteen
- 5:42Speaker 2: thousand dollars a week for the final two to three
- 5:44Speaker 2: weeks of the season, was on the roster for all
- 5:47Speaker 2: the playoffs. Talk to us about going to the Super Bowl.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You'll hear from Monterrey Foster at ten, twenty five years
- 5:53Speaker 2: a Super Bowl ring. He went back and showed it
- 5:55Speaker 2: at Lake with Saint Ed's. Needless to say, he is
- 5:58Speaker 2: not substitute teaching at school. Began in Ohio here in August.
- 6:01Speaker 2: He is in Seahawks training camp trying to win a job.
- 6:04Speaker 2: An interesting story. Ten forty five Aj Barner, the tight end.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You'll hear from him. He was talking to Dave Softy
- 6:10Speaker 2: Mahler and Hugh Millen yesterday on our station about new
- 6:13Speaker 2: offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, who we heard from yesterday on
- 6:16Speaker 2: the show. And now here's Aj Barner, who stands, as
- 6:19Speaker 2: I said, to perhaps be a Pro Bowl all Pro
- 6:22Speaker 2: type tight end in this offense. You'll hear from AJ
- 6:24Speaker 2: Barner about his new offensive coordinator and how it highlights
- 6:28Speaker 2: tight ends. At ten forty five. At eleven o'clock, we're
- 6:31Speaker 2: going to go to LA our friend and very popular guest.
- 6:34Speaker 2: All of you on the text line want more of
- 6:35Speaker 2: far Hunt logy.
- 6:37Speaker 3: He's really good.
- 6:37Speaker 2: He is great. He's down there with his buddy and
- 6:41Speaker 2: TSN Canada down at LA. He's been doing. He's gone
- 6:44Speaker 2: to forty nine Ers camp this week. He's gone to
- 6:46Speaker 2: Rams camp yesterday. He was there when Aaron Donald had
- 6:50Speaker 2: his tryout with the Rams.
- 6:51Speaker 3: O can't wait to hear about that.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, he's gonna talk to you about that. It's going
- 6:54Speaker 2: to be a done deal. Aaron Donald's going to be
- 6:56Speaker 2: back with the Rams. Yes, it's just a matter of when.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Aaron Donald smart enough to wait until September. First, he's
- 7:02Speaker 2: not coming back.
- 7:03Speaker 3: On he's a veteran.
- 7:06Speaker 2: He doesn't want to go through training camp again, so
- 7:08Speaker 2: he's gonna wait until training camps pretty much over, and
- 7:11Speaker 2: then he's probably gonna be get on a plane and
- 7:12Speaker 2: go to Australia for the opener for the Rams and
- 7:15Speaker 2: the forty nine Ers on September the tenth and play.
- 7:18Speaker 2: It looks like that's what's going to happen. I'm going
- 7:20Speaker 2: to talk Toofarhan. We're going to hear from him at
- 7:22Speaker 2: eleven o'clock from Rams camp. He's going to Chargers CAMPAX
- 7:25Speaker 2: week in today and he was at Cowboys camp in Auxnard.
- 7:28Speaker 2: He's made the rounds in LA and California area this week.
- 7:31Speaker 2: You'll hear from him at eleven o'clock eleven thirty year
- 7:33Speaker 2: text and talkbacks as we do every day at that
- 7:35Speaker 2: time that the komodage text on is four nine four
- 7:37Speaker 2: to five one, and please. Jess McIntyre actually called me
- 7:41Speaker 2: last night at about eleven o'clock still sad that she did
- 7:43Speaker 2: not have any talkbacks.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Really wounded me.
- 7:45Speaker 2: It ruined her day. It ruined her day. So don't
- 7:48Speaker 2: ruin her day. Have some talkbacks on the talkback iHeartRadio app,
- 7:53Speaker 2: the Little Red microphone or nine through three kjar dot com.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I'm not as lonely though, since you're here.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Oh, thank you, jessin It helps appreciate that. Yeah, it's
- 8:01Speaker 2: very sweet, thank you. I was going to start the
- 8:05Speaker 2: show talking about the tenth Seahawks practice, but I have
- 8:08Speaker 2: to talk about Jimothy because what are we doing?
- 8:12Speaker 3: It's so fun and what are we doing this team?
- 8:15Speaker 2: On this team, they are four games now, three games
- 8:18Speaker 2: under five hundred in a terrible division. And forty one
- 8:21Speaker 2: thousand people were in the yard last night on a
- 8:24Speaker 2: Wednesday night in August because it was Jimothy Knight, and
- 8:28Speaker 2: they handed out car Jessman as a prized owner of
- 8:31Speaker 2: a card that is apparently the hottest item, a Jimothy
- 8:34Speaker 2: card the Mariners printer.
- 8:35Speaker 3: There's like a coin and stuff. People are going crazy.
- 8:38Speaker 2: What are we doing here? He was racing with the
- 8:41Speaker 2: there was a dressed up Jimothy. He won, Yeah, with
- 8:44Speaker 2: the salmon race on the warning track. Can we just
- 8:47Speaker 2: get us a damn World Series? Please get done with
- 8:50Speaker 2: the Jimothy. This team is so talented and they're in
- 8:53Speaker 2: their window, and they got the pitching staff and they
- 8:55Speaker 2: got and we get Jimithy, give me some wins in
- 9:00Speaker 2: Division Crown and a World Series. We've talked about it.
- 9:04Speaker 3: They won last night.
- 9:05Speaker 2: They did win last night. Yeah, can they win for
- 9:07Speaker 2: like a week so they can get in first place.
- 9:08Speaker 2: It's all it's gonna take.
- 9:10Speaker 3: But we'd hope so.
- 9:11Speaker 2: But now they get Tampa Bay, the best team in
- 9:13Speaker 2: the American League. After the series finale against Detroit, then
- 9:17Speaker 2: they go to Nanke Stadium. Then they get the trash
- 9:19Speaker 2: Cans in Houston. This is probably the wrong time to
- 9:23Speaker 2: ask for a six game winning streak, but that's what's
- 9:24Speaker 2: gonna take. And if they get that, they'll be in
- 9:26Speaker 2: first place. Texas has done it. Qu string a few together.
- 9:29Speaker 5: I mean, you know you don't need a six game
- 9:31Speaker 5: winning streak, but you know, going four and two instead.
- 9:34Speaker 2: We get Jimothy.
- 9:36Speaker 3: But it's so fun, Craig.
- 9:39Speaker 2: It's fun for those who want to just go to
- 9:40Speaker 2: the yard and watch a deformed raccoon. It's not fun
- 9:45Speaker 2: for the real baseball people who've watched this day for
- 9:47Speaker 2: so many decades just not do it.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I know, but that like fifty years. Okay, I get it,
- 9:53Speaker 3: I get it.
- 9:54Speaker 5: But I'm just saying that if you're going to add fun,
- 9:58Speaker 5: the winning is separate.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Like these are two separate things.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I say, have fun winning, Well.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Yeah, duh, I mean everybody wants that.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I'm rid of the Jimothy and give me somebody who
- 10:08Speaker 2: can hit left hand and pitching, someone who could pitch
- 10:10Speaker 2: an eighth inning. To get Jimothy is killing me.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Man.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Forty one thousand in the yard not because they're trying
- 10:17Speaker 2: to see the Mariners beat the Tigers. It's because of
- 10:20Speaker 2: jimithy and thirty five thousand come because of hot dogs
- 10:23Speaker 2: from heaven and oh it's working as a business model.
- 10:28Speaker 2: It's working. If you can get forty two thousand, forty
- 10:31Speaker 2: one thousand people to see two subterranean teams under five
- 10:35Speaker 2: hundred teams in the middle of August on a Wednesday night,
- 10:38Speaker 2: it's working. It is as a business proposition. It ain't
- 10:42Speaker 2: working as a baseball proposition. And that's what the fans
- 10:45Speaker 2: in this town are sick of, and deservedly so you
- 10:48Speaker 2: will never hear me talk about fans frustrated at the Mariners,
- 10:51Speaker 2: because they deserve to be all of you have spent
- 10:55Speaker 2: your time, your money, your effort, and your money and
- 10:58Speaker 2: your effort and care and your money on the Mariners
- 11:01Speaker 2: for fifty fricking years and they don't have a World
- 11:03Speaker 2: Series and they give you Jimothy, And because it's working,
- 11:06Speaker 2: they give you Jimothy Knight two. And because it was
- 11:08Speaker 2: great last night, guess what, They're already gonna have a
- 11:10Speaker 2: Jimothy Knight three. I'm told, really, yes, stop, don't give
- 11:16Speaker 2: me a deformed raccoon. But there are many people who
- 11:20Speaker 2: like jesseinan Doucie. It is fun. So they go to
- 11:23Speaker 2: the yard and they just cheer Jimothy on the world.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I'm a baseball fan, you know, but I can also
- 11:28Speaker 3: find it fun.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I can't. I'm sorry, I I I do. I just
- 11:34Speaker 2: I'm disagreeing because I'm just I'm fed up of watching
- 11:38Speaker 2: this franchise squander this chance. They've never been this close
- 11:41Speaker 2: to a World Series in a division that is just putred.
- 11:46Speaker 2: They should be winning this division in a boat race
- 11:48Speaker 2: and they're under five hundred and they're trotting out. Jimothy enough, stop,
- 11:52Speaker 2: give me some wins, give me some division title, and
- 11:55Speaker 2: give me in the playoffs and get us into this
- 11:57Speaker 2: World series that you're John Stanton talked about on opening
- 12:00Speaker 2: Day that I wrote about for the News Tribune. Don't
- 12:03Speaker 2: give me four games under five hundred and August with
- 12:05Speaker 2: Jimothy Knight done. Period ended.
- 12:07Speaker 5: What if they were leading the division and Jimothy still
- 12:10Speaker 5: has it's.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Still the accident on the wrong syllable. You need to
- 12:13Speaker 2: be focused on getting the players in, whether it's motivation,
- 12:18Speaker 2: the right players in the yard, bringing in the right
- 12:21Speaker 2: bullpen at the relievers at the right time. That's what
- 12:24Speaker 2: they need to be focused on. And I get it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: The baseball side is completely different than the Jimothy promotion side,
- 12:30Speaker 2: of course, and it's a business and the Mariners are
- 12:32Speaker 2: making money and they're averaging thirty seven thousand people a game.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Their attendance is in the top ten in the league,
- 12:40Speaker 2: yet they're in the bottom ten in the league. In
- 12:42Speaker 2: baseball what it matters, and it just drives people that
- 12:45Speaker 2: actually care about the sport of can the Mariners finally
- 12:48Speaker 2: make the worst. They drives them crazy and rightly, so
- 12:50Speaker 2: don't give me Jimothy Man, it's just the timing is
- 12:54Speaker 2: so bad. But timing is so great because everybody's so
- 12:57Speaker 2: John Oliver had it on his show. I told you
- 12:59Speaker 2: before that the only shows we watch on television is
- 13:02Speaker 2: Live Sports at our house, Live Sports or the John
- 13:05Speaker 2: Oliver Show taped and watch it at our convenience. Last
- 13:08Speaker 2: week tonight on HBO. It airs every Sunday night. He
- 13:12Speaker 2: led his show last week with Jimothy Oh.
- 13:15Speaker 3: It's nationwide. It's insane, it's global.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Right, And so I get back that side of the
- 13:22Speaker 2: Mariners side that's trying to and it was originally here
- 13:25Speaker 2: in Seattle the meaning. I get that, but it's so
- 13:28Speaker 2: frustrating for those of us who just want to see
- 13:30Speaker 2: a competent baseball team cash in on this gigantic opportunity
- 13:34Speaker 2: it has. This will go down and this is saying
- 13:36Speaker 2: something for this town. This will go down as the
- 13:39Speaker 2: most disappointing Mariner's season in history on the current trajectory. Yes,
- 13:44Speaker 2: worse than one hundred last seasons, worse than the strike
- 13:47Speaker 2: that canceled an entire year in the World Series. This season.
- 13:50Speaker 2: If they stay on this trajectory and don't win this
- 13:53Speaker 2: god awful division, will be the most disappointing season in
- 13:56Speaker 2: Mariners baseball history. And man, is that saying something? And
- 14:00Speaker 2: on August the ninth, sixth, fifth, we get Jimithy instead.
- 14:06Speaker 2: It's the same thing. Put it in the same category
- 14:08Speaker 2: as hot dogs from Heaven and bottle heads and fireworks.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Chris and I used talk about all the time. It's working.
- 14:14Speaker 2: People come out to watch that crap instead of the
- 14:17Speaker 2: baseball that's supposed to They should be packing the yard
- 14:20Speaker 2: because the Mariners are twenty games over five hundred, leading
- 14:23Speaker 2: the division by twenty one games right now, for the
- 14:25Speaker 2: talent and the pitching that they have. Instead we get
- 14:28Speaker 2: one sixty eight hitters and we get Jimothy Man. I
- 14:32Speaker 2: don't know if you all agree with me four nine,
- 14:34Speaker 2: four or five one. I think if you watch the
- 14:35Speaker 2: Mariners for more than a year, you do agree with me,
- 14:38Speaker 2: because it is maddening and there is no fan base
- 14:41Speaker 2: in sports that deserves to be frustrated and ticked off
- 14:44Speaker 2: than the Mariner fan. Absolute empathy for all of y'all.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I've only been in this town since nineteen ninety four.
- 14:50Speaker 2: And I feel it. I would shudder.
- 14:53Speaker 3: That's quite a substantial part of your life.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Correct, But think about if you're a Mariner's original season
- 14:59Speaker 2: charter season ticket hole used to watch games in the
- 15:01Speaker 2: Kingdom in nineteen seventy seven and watch Ken Phelps and
- 15:04Speaker 2: watch Bradley and watched le Fever and watched all those
- 15:08Speaker 2: dudes and watched Mark Langston and watched the ceiling tiles
- 15:11Speaker 2: fall from the Kingdom like I did before game against
- 15:13Speaker 2: Cleveland that you're pissed, fIF Man. You've been spending money
- 15:17Speaker 2: and time and now you've got a team that is
- 15:20Speaker 2: so good in eight outs from the World Series last year.
- 15:22Speaker 2: And maybe they were in over their head and played
- 15:25Speaker 2: above their ability because they had a sixty home run
- 15:27Speaker 2: guy who carried him. Maybe, but they were that close,
- 15:31Speaker 2: and they had their whole fan base, they'd not close,
- 15:34Speaker 2: and your face planning of a season like this, and
- 15:36Speaker 2: you give us Jimothy man, I'm I'm about out.
- 15:41Speaker 3: I'm not feelings.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I just when I saw that last night, I just said,
- 15:46Speaker 2: come on.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Was it my text or were you?
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:50Speaker 6: I was I was both And I said I saw
- 15:54Speaker 6: it because Jess was at the yard yesterday just to
- 15:57Speaker 6: set some context, and she was out for pregame and
- 16:00Speaker 6: she told me the story.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I don't mind if I tell you. I don't think
- 16:03Speaker 2: you'll mind if I tell you. You said you were on
- 16:04Speaker 2: your way out at end the pregame.
- 16:07Speaker 3: And they got to see I got to see it.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And they handed you a card.
- 16:11Speaker 3: They yeah, so I could take a picture of it
- 16:13Speaker 3: so I would know what was going on.
- 16:15Speaker 2: And that apparently that blew up that gymsy is so
- 16:19Speaker 2: popular that that even just picture.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I said, I posted a picture of what
- 16:24Speaker 5: they were doing, and I said I wouldn't put it
- 16:25Speaker 5: out on social media until they actually started the game
- 16:29Speaker 5: or opened the gates when people were going to be
- 16:31Speaker 5: getting them.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Yeah, And I apparently, and I think I hashtagged it,
- 16:36Speaker 3: and there's like all these coins and bots and everything.
- 16:39Speaker 3: It's like Jimothy is crazy.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So it was just to be clear. So I understand
- 16:43Speaker 2: they were forty one thousand and almost forty two thousand
- 16:46Speaker 2: in the yard last night because they were given out
- 16:47Speaker 2: Jimothy cards.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I think they had T shirts too.
- 16:50Speaker 5: I only got to see the cards because I was
- 16:52Speaker 5: there so early during pregame and so I got to
- 16:55Speaker 5: see that. But I think there were T shirts too,
- 16:59Speaker 5: that those weren't out yet. But yes, I texted Greg
- 17:03Speaker 5: a picture of Jimothy and apparently I sent him on
- 17:06Speaker 5: a spy for hall.
- 17:08Speaker 2: You did?
- 17:09Speaker 4: You? Did?
- 17:09Speaker 2: You about ruined my month? I almost snapped. It was
- 17:14Speaker 2: an unnatural reaction, I guess, But I don't know how
- 17:16Speaker 2: unnatural it is. Maybe those of you in Seattle that
- 17:19Speaker 2: have been Mariner fans for a few days share my dismay.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I don't know for I haven't logged into the text
- 17:26Speaker 2: line to see if you all agree with me or
- 17:28Speaker 2: there's a lot.
- 17:29Speaker 5: We've got YouTube comments coming into and a couple of talkbacks.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Have already rolled in, so that makes me a happy girl.
- 17:36Speaker 2: If I'm if I'm off based on this, tell me,
- 17:40Speaker 2: I don't care. I have at it. That's why we
- 17:41Speaker 2: have a text line, That's why we have talkbacks, that's
- 17:44Speaker 2: why we have the YouTube channel. Hello YouTube. If I'm
- 17:46Speaker 2: off base on this Jimothy bull stuff.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you for that. She had the reach of
- 17:52Speaker 3: the dump button. I was right there.
- 17:54Speaker 2: If I'm off base, tell me, man, tell me.
- 17:57Speaker 5: We have a lot of varying opinions that are coming in.
- 18:01Speaker 5: We'll get to those at eleven thirty but this is uh, yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 5: it's very fifty to fifty.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Freaking Jimothy hop Neck. We're not talking about Timothy for
- 18:12Speaker 2: the next segment, I'm not. I probably.
- 18:14Speaker 5: I can't wait for you guys to hear this guy.
- 18:16Speaker 5: This is someone you got to root for.
- 18:18Speaker 2: This was kind of an accidental fine, I'll be honest
- 18:20Speaker 2: with you. Monterrey Foster, Michigan State. He stayed all five
- 18:24Speaker 2: years at Michigan State. I could do a whole story
- 18:26Speaker 2: just on that in college football. How rare that is.
- 18:28Speaker 2: And you wait till you hear how he's just a
- 18:30Speaker 2: love for Michigan State. He went through a coaching change,
- 18:32Speaker 2: a coach got fired for sexual harassment. He stayed. He's
- 18:35Speaker 2: from Cleveland, which is another place close to my heart.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Subject's interesting he went to the state of Michigan.
- 18:41Speaker 2: That's correct. Yeah, he's not the first big Ohio player
- 18:44Speaker 2: to do that. He played high school football for one year.
- 18:47Speaker 2: He was an All state basketball player. He had Division
- 18:49Speaker 2: One offers to play college basketball. His high school football
- 18:53Speaker 2: coach begged in the come out at St. Edwards High
- 18:55Speaker 2: School in Lakewood, just out just west of Cleveland. He
- 18:58Speaker 2: went out his senior year. He became second team All
- 19:01Speaker 2: State in football, got a Michigan State scholarship. Now he's
- 19:04Speaker 2: got a Super Bowl ring for the Seahawks, and he's
- 19:05Speaker 2: a substitute teacher in his alma mater, Monterrey Foster. You're
- 19:09Speaker 2: here from him next on ninety three point three KJRFM
- 19:25Speaker 2: got here at the Virginia Mason Athletics Center at Seahawks
- 19:28Speaker 2: training camp live on ninety three point three kJ r
- 19:31Speaker 2: F M Montry Foster, wide receiver in his second You're
- 19:34Speaker 2: at a Michigan state team. Just thanks for coming. I
- 19:36Speaker 2: know you're a busy man. Yes, thanks for having me.
- 19:39Speaker 2: This is your second training camp. Last year as an
- 19:41Speaker 2: undrafted rookie, the Seahawks side you in May. You had
- 19:45Speaker 2: it was a hamstring injury at this time last year, right, ye, yes, sir,
- 19:48Speaker 2: waved injured hamstring. Then you went back to Cleveland, Ohio,
- 19:52Speaker 2: your hometown, and you were a substitute teacher at Lakewood Sat.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Ed's High School. I have nephews that graduated from St.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Ed's Stubenville down the state in Ohio. Okay, what was
- 20:04Speaker 2: that whole experience like being in an NFL training camp,
- 20:07Speaker 2: still being in an NFL playing shape obviously as it
- 20:09Speaker 2: turned out. But going back to your high school and
- 20:12Speaker 2: teaching during while the Seahawks are winning games on the
- 20:15Speaker 2: way to the NFC West, you were teaching back at
- 20:17Speaker 2: your high school.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it was definitely different. I did a lot of jobs. Honestly.
- 20:21Speaker 7: I actually went back home and I got my real
- 20:24Speaker 7: estate license, so I did that with substitute teaching at
- 20:27Speaker 7: my high school, and then I was also training kids,
- 20:31Speaker 7: little kids in football too, So just a way to
- 20:34Speaker 7: just give back to the game and keep myself busy
- 20:36Speaker 7: while I wasn't here in the building.
- 20:38Speaker 2: And when you were released, did the Seahawks say, hey,
- 20:41Speaker 2: when you're healthy, will call you or how did that work?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Hey?
- 20:44Speaker 7: I had no clue, man, So you know I would
- 20:48Speaker 7: go to gyms. I live in Ohio, so we got,
- 20:50Speaker 7: you know, winners. So I'm trying to find a quarterback,
- 20:52Speaker 7: trying to find indoor facilities to throw and just stay
- 20:55Speaker 7: in game ready shape. So you know, I was ready,
- 20:59Speaker 7: so I didn't have to get for sure.
- 21:01Speaker 2: How did you do that? Did you did you finding quarterback?
- 21:03Speaker 2: Did you find indoor facilities? Did you go to a
- 21:05Speaker 2: gym and a heart a basketball floor? How did you work?
- 21:08Speaker 4: It's crazy?
- 21:09Speaker 7: I actually found one of my quarterbacks in a local
- 21:11Speaker 7: gym by Luck By Luck. Yeah, this guy, this random guy. Uh,
- 21:17Speaker 7: he just like he was like, man, if you need
- 21:19Speaker 7: a quarterback, you know, I throw to you. And I
- 21:22Speaker 7: was like, I thought he was just bs and but
- 21:24Speaker 7: he actually we got together and we started throwing together,
- 21:27Speaker 7: and you know, that's still my guy to this day
- 21:28Speaker 7: and we get extra working and off season.
- 21:30Speaker 4: For sure. This is a high school team of the years. No,
- 21:33Speaker 4: it was a random guy.
- 21:34Speaker 7: He worked at this local gym and we just started
- 21:37Speaker 7: talking and conversating. He was like, hey, man, you know
- 21:39Speaker 7: I could throw the throw the ball to you. So
- 21:41Speaker 7: I'm like, oh, I don't know. I don't know about this,
- 21:44Speaker 7: but I gave him a shot and he was great.
- 21:47Speaker 7: He was great for me for sure, and he got.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You ready to the point that the Seahawks called you
- 21:50Speaker 2: again in December and resign you to the practice squad. Yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 2: there's a shot out his name. What is he give
- 21:56Speaker 2: him credit for?
- 21:57Speaker 7: Yeah, definitely Jake Dski. Yeah, the former may Mayfield High
- 22:02Speaker 7: school quarterback.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Okay, Jake Dosstell is part of the reason that Montory
- 22:06Speaker 2: Foster is sitting in front of us right here at
- 22:07Speaker 2: Seahawks trading camp. So the Seahawks call you back in
- 22:11Speaker 2: December thirty th you signed of the practice squad. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 2: you were on the practice squad through the Super Bowl.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Tell us about the Super Bowl experience and joining the
- 22:18Speaker 2: team and the playoff run after not being here the
- 22:20Speaker 2: whole time. You knew some guys and you knew the
- 22:23Speaker 2: but that was probably a surreal experience.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Yeah, this definitely was different for sure.
- 22:27Speaker 7: And then you know, being on practice squad, getting to
- 22:29Speaker 7: go to the game to see in the atmosphere like
- 22:31Speaker 7: it was just second to none, Like the twelves. The
- 22:34Speaker 7: fans are great, man, I love them and everything. And
- 22:37Speaker 7: it was also a great time to just hone in
- 22:39Speaker 7: on my craft and go against a lot of the
- 22:41Speaker 7: top cornerbacks that were Super Bowl cornerbacks too as well
- 22:45Speaker 7: to help me sharpen my game as well too.
- 22:47Speaker 2: So tell us the Super Bowl experience for a practice
- 22:51Speaker 2: squad player who you didn't think you'd be activated for
- 22:54Speaker 2: the game, or at least maybe you were preparing us
- 22:56Speaker 2: if you would, because that's how you have to be prepared, right,
- 22:58Speaker 2: But enjoying all of the festivities, the big enormity of
- 23:03Speaker 2: the Super Bowl without the pressure of having to play in.
- 23:06Speaker 4: It was that.
- 23:08Speaker 2: How different was that experience? Were you and not not?
- 23:10Speaker 2: You were along for the ride, But that's not that
- 23:12Speaker 2: that's a pretty cool deal to just walk into that situation.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it was pretty cool. Man.
- 23:17Speaker 7: It was like I said, I'm truly grateful just to
- 23:19Speaker 7: be in that experience. It was awesome. The festivities, the fans,
- 23:24Speaker 7: everything about it. And then especially like the gear and stuff.
- 23:27Speaker 7: I have so many, like just items like sunglasses, sert
- 23:32Speaker 7: sweaters and everything that. You know, it's just something that
- 23:35Speaker 7: I would never forget.
- 23:37Speaker 2: You didn't play basket or football until your final year high.
- 23:39Speaker 7: School, inquis and then so I actually played when I
- 23:42Speaker 7: was younger, and I stopped when I was like ten
- 23:44Speaker 7: years old, and then I was just a hooper all
- 23:46Speaker 7: throughout high school. Then my senior year, I was like, man,
- 23:48Speaker 7: let me try out football again. And you know, it
- 23:51Speaker 7: kind of went from there.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Was it on your own or did a coach and
- 23:54Speaker 2: encourage you or how did you get back into football?
- 23:56Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 23:56Speaker 7: So my high school coach, he would come up to
- 23:58Speaker 7: my locker every day since my freshman year in high school,
- 24:02Speaker 7: was like, hey, man, you need to come try out football,
- 24:04Speaker 7: Like I think you can be a stud and I
- 24:06Speaker 7: was like, I don't know, I just want to play hoops.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Man.
- 24:08Speaker 7: Those guys on the field over there, they just too big, man.
- 24:11Speaker 7: I don't want to get hit. But you know, my
- 24:13Speaker 7: last year, my senior year, I came out and just
- 24:16Speaker 7: had fun and you know, made some plays and got
- 24:18Speaker 7: some offers and now we're here today.
- 24:21Speaker 2: His first career high school start was week two of
- 24:24Speaker 2: his senior season for Saint Edwards High School.
- 24:26Speaker 4: To my correct about that, yeah, I think it was
- 24:27Speaker 4: week two of week three. Yep.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yet Michigan State and others offered you a scholarship. You
- 24:32Speaker 2: were second team All Ohio for just playing one year
- 24:35Speaker 2: at wide receiver, and Michigan State other offers. Why Michigan
- 24:39Speaker 2: State was that the one that were on your first?
- 24:41Speaker 7: Yeah, that was the only big school that was on
- 24:43Speaker 7: me first. And then I had a couple other friends
- 24:46Speaker 7: that went to Michigan State as well, so you know,
- 24:48Speaker 7: it was close to home. My family could come to
- 24:50Speaker 7: the games, and it was just a perfect scenario for me.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Goes into the Big Ten, and then as a five
- 24:55Speaker 2: year letter winner, you stayed all five years, which, as
- 24:58Speaker 2: you know in this day and agel, college football is
- 25:00Speaker 2: not usual, you went through a coaching change. Mel Tucker,
- 25:04Speaker 2: the staff that hired you fired, and then Jonathan Smith's
- 25:07Speaker 2: staff came out at Michigan State. Right, How important was
- 25:11Speaker 2: it and did you give thought to how meaningful it
- 25:14Speaker 2: would be to stay all five years and what the
- 25:16Speaker 2: NFL might think of that?
- 25:18Speaker 5: Uh?
- 25:19Speaker 7: I wasn't really thinking about I mean, I'm always thinking
- 25:21Speaker 7: about the next level, but I wasn't really thinking about
- 25:23Speaker 7: that next step in the NFL. But for me in
- 25:25Speaker 7: that time, I think it was just the best move
- 25:27Speaker 7: for my family. And you know, I love Michigan State
- 25:30Speaker 7: to death like I Lee Green. So you know, I
- 25:32Speaker 7: wanted to stay home and you know try to you know,
- 25:35Speaker 7: turn things around at Michigan State. And you know that's
- 25:37Speaker 7: what I try to do. I put it all on
- 25:39Speaker 7: the field and that's what I did.
- 25:41Speaker 2: How close were you to accepting the Akron in Eastern
- 25:43Speaker 2: Kentucky scholarship for basketball? Was that even that when you
- 25:47Speaker 2: close it?
- 25:48Speaker 7: You know it was on the back burner After Michigan
- 25:50Speaker 7: State came, I was like, let's make a business decision.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Let's let's make the smart decision right now.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Exactly. This is Montry Foster. He's a wide receiver in
- 25:58Speaker 2: Seahawks training. Here for the second concept, if you're joining
- 26:00Speaker 2: us here on the Seax turning cap at ninety three
- 26:03Speaker 2: point three KJR, this is a crowded wide receiver field.
- 26:06Speaker 2: They always are. You've shown out, you've you've seem to
- 26:09Speaker 2: have a rapport with Jalen Milroe catching passes as well.
- 26:13Speaker 2: How do you assess how it's gone and where it
- 26:15Speaker 2: stands for you and the whole roster shuffle here?
- 26:17Speaker 7: Yeah, with me, I'm just focusing on like what I
- 26:19Speaker 7: can do, what I can control each and every day.
- 26:21Speaker 7: So it's not about you know, outside noise or you know,
- 26:25Speaker 7: me making a play or whatever. I want to do
- 26:27Speaker 7: this like consistently. So you know, I have a standard
- 26:30Speaker 7: that I hold myself too, So every time I step
- 26:32Speaker 7: on the field, I'm trying to, you know, upheld that standard.
- 26:35Speaker 2: You were here this time last year with the rest
- 26:37Speaker 2: of the offense learning Clint Kubiak's offense. Now you're learning
- 26:40Speaker 2: Brian Fleury's offense. What are the differences? What are the similarities?
- 26:45Speaker 4: I would say it's probably it's still a little similar,
- 26:47Speaker 4: just different verbage. So I would say, you know, it's
- 26:50Speaker 4: not too much of a learning curve with everything because
- 26:53Speaker 4: I kind of been in the same system, the West
- 26:55Speaker 4: Coast spread offense kind of system. So it's been going
- 26:58Speaker 4: pretty smooth so far.
- 27:00Speaker 2: What teams are you on? Special teams?
- 27:01Speaker 7: You're on, Yeah, so I'm on punt I'm on punt
- 27:05Speaker 7: return and then maybe ko R Actually all four honestly,
- 27:10Speaker 7: so yeah, all four is you?
- 27:13Speaker 2: And how important may that end up being for you
- 27:17Speaker 2: to make the team as a special teams player.
- 27:19Speaker 4: It's huge. It's huge, for sure.
- 27:21Speaker 7: So that's why you know, I'm trying to pay attention
- 27:23Speaker 7: to details and you know, learn from you know, my
- 27:26Speaker 7: mistakes each and every day and just get one percent
- 27:28Speaker 7: better each and every day in that aspect as well.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Cleveland, I gotta ask you Lebron James fan or not?
- 27:34Speaker 7: You huge Lebron j fan? So I always heard about
- 27:37Speaker 7: that that trade to the seventy six ers. I was
- 27:39Speaker 7: super hurt. You were hoping he's coming back home exactly?
- 27:42Speaker 4: Yes?
- 27:44Speaker 2: Were you a Browns fan growing up?
- 27:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 27:46Speaker 2: I am?
- 27:46Speaker 4: I am, Okay, definitely huge Browns fan.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, all right. In your wide receiver room, as
- 27:52Speaker 2: I mentioned, very crowded, but you have veterans in there. Jackson'
- 27:55Speaker 2: spin and Jake performance speaks for itself. But a lot
- 27:58Speaker 2: of the guys in there talking about Cooper coach in
- 28:02Speaker 2: that room, How does Cooper cup mentorship helped you and
- 28:04Speaker 2: what do you learn from him?
- 28:06Speaker 4: It's been great, man.
- 28:07Speaker 7: I feel like we had a situation yesterday, you know,
- 28:09Speaker 7: we had a competition drill and you know, he was
- 28:11Speaker 7: coaching me up on my routes and what I could
- 28:13Speaker 7: have did in a situation. So just seeing him come
- 28:16Speaker 7: to work every day, him put like the hard hat
- 28:21Speaker 7: on and you know, going there and block it just
- 28:23Speaker 7: shows to a testament of you know, who he is
- 28:25Speaker 7: as a player, but also just you know, he is
- 28:28Speaker 7: a perfect example to look up to. So that's kind
- 28:31Speaker 7: of what I've been doing each and every day, just
- 28:32Speaker 7: learning every day from him because it's been great.
- 28:36Speaker 2: You still have the substitute teaching on. If you're needed,
- 28:39Speaker 2: they going to cut your back.
- 28:40Speaker 7: Or is that yeah, that's my home man, for sure.
- 28:44Speaker 7: Definitely they're trying to give me the coach. So there
- 28:47Speaker 7: and not yet not right now.
- 28:49Speaker 2: What was the reaction of you as a Super Bowl
- 28:51Speaker 2: champion when you went back home and was that a
- 28:54Speaker 2: big deal of the Saint as it was?
- 28:56Speaker 7: It was this big deal actually brought the Super Bowl
- 28:58Speaker 7: ring back to my high school and stuff, so they
- 29:00Speaker 7: got to see it and they the ceremony or whatnother.
- 29:02Speaker 7: It wasn't a ceremony, nothing big. It's just kind of
- 29:04Speaker 7: like I just popped up on him and stuff. And
- 29:06Speaker 7: my coach got to see it because he played a
- 29:08Speaker 7: huge part of me just playing football in general. So
- 29:11Speaker 7: you know, I just wanted to wanted to show him
- 29:13Speaker 7: that ring, to just attest to all the hard work
- 29:15Speaker 7: I put in and to be able to show him
- 29:17Speaker 7: that was just a blessing.
- 29:18Speaker 2: That was the coach that would buggy in the hallway
- 29:20Speaker 2: to come back. What was his name, Coach Lombardo. I
- 29:24Speaker 2: think it's been there a while, hasn't He's been there
- 29:25Speaker 2: for a while. Yes, there For those who don't know,
- 29:28Speaker 2: I grew up in Ohio put high school football High
- 29:30Speaker 2: Lake with sat that it's a Division one monster program
- 29:33Speaker 2: in Ohio with some big, big deal about.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Well, Tory, I know you're busy.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I appreciate you dropping by all the best you've messed
- 29:39Speaker 2: of luck for this coming season. It's great to chatter,
- 29:41Speaker 2: all right, thank you, Yes, sir, Montory Foster of the
- 29:49Speaker 2: When the rosters are at ninety. These are the kind
- 29:52Speaker 2: of stories that I try to find a training camp
- 29:54Speaker 2: that tell you more about someone that you may have
- 29:58Speaker 2: never heard. I doubt you've heard of him, and if
- 29:59Speaker 2: you have, if you're a really hardcore Seahawk fan, only recently,
- 30:02Speaker 2: you have heard about him. They didn't sign him ntill
- 30:05Speaker 2: December thirtieth of last year. How it works is, once
- 30:08Speaker 2: you get on the practice squad, you get thirteen thousand
- 30:10Speaker 2: dollars a week, thirteen seven hundred or so a week
- 30:14Speaker 2: while you're on the practice squad. If you get called
- 30:16Speaker 2: up and the active roster, then you start getting a
- 30:18Speaker 2: pro ration of the minimum seven hundred and forty thousand.
- 30:21Speaker 4: Dollars a year.
- 30:22Speaker 2: So that's why it's a big deal for practice squad
- 30:23Speaker 2: clayers to get on the roster. But you don't think
- 30:27Speaker 2: about the pic. I mean, when we were at the
- 30:29Speaker 2: super Bowl last week, Jessman, you and I are last February,
- 30:32Speaker 2: you and I we were going around and interviewing players
- 30:35Speaker 2: on media days, and they were at tables. Nobody went
- 30:39Speaker 2: up to the practice squad guys.
- 30:40Speaker 5: No, No, they actually like especially on the opening night
- 30:44Speaker 5: when they're all just out there on the floor and
- 30:46Speaker 5: there's your specific eyes on the podiums. Yeah, they're so
- 30:50Speaker 5: accessible and you could just go and talk to them
- 30:53Speaker 5: and I enjoy doing that.
- 30:55Speaker 2: And they're just overlooked and you don't think of them
- 30:57Speaker 2: as being on the team, but they were there. He
- 30:59Speaker 2: was on the sideline in Santa Clara the night they
- 31:01Speaker 2: won the Super Bowl. He has a ring because he
- 31:04Speaker 2: was on the team and the practice squad. Then he
- 31:07Speaker 2: went home and he didn't know what they were and
- 31:10Speaker 2: they signed into a futures contract in January. And what
- 31:13Speaker 2: that means is you had the opportunity, if you do
- 31:15Speaker 2: well in the offseason practices, to be on the ninety
- 31:17Speaker 2: man roster when the season, when the preseason begins, and
- 31:20Speaker 2: that's where Monty Foster is right now. He made a
- 31:22Speaker 2: nice play yesterday in the back of the end zone.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I see him all over Jay Harbough's special teams, the guys.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Which is a huge key to making a roster right now.
- 31:33Speaker 2: He reminds me something of in the way he looks
- 31:35Speaker 2: as he plays. Of Cason Williams. You remember him from
- 31:38Speaker 2: Skyline High School in the University of Washington. He was
- 31:41Speaker 2: a training camp at preseason Star here for a long
- 31:44Speaker 2: time he actually got eventually signed with the Browns when
- 31:47Speaker 2: it finally wouldn't stick with the Seahawks, but summer after summer,
- 31:50Speaker 2: Cason Williams would just be blowing it up and never
- 31:53Speaker 2: stuck with the Seahawks. Monterrey Foster, as I mentioned, is
- 31:56Speaker 2: in a very crowded wide receiver room that you don't
- 31:59Speaker 2: know how he might make the team with all the
- 32:01Speaker 2: wide receivers that they have. But here's this guy is
- 32:04Speaker 2: a licensed real estate agent and a substitute teacher who
- 32:10Speaker 2: he heard the story. He's just in a gym, like
- 32:12Speaker 2: a twenty four hour fitness type of place outside of Cleveland,
- 32:16Speaker 2: his hometown. He goes on the east side of Cleveland,
- 32:18Speaker 2: right by JFK High School. I played JFK High School
- 32:20Speaker 2: when I was in high school and as some chuck
- 32:23Speaker 2: who just walked up to him saying, Hey, I heard
- 32:26Speaker 2: your football player. I can throw balls to you and
- 32:28Speaker 2: keep you in training, and he's like, who the hell
- 32:30Speaker 2: are you, and so Jake Dostel I just looked him up.
- 32:34Speaker 2: He's right Mayfield Village High School quarterback in Ohio.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I'd love that story so much.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Helped him work out and kept him in sharp enough
- 32:41Speaker 2: so that when the Seahawks called him back after cutting
- 32:43Speaker 2: him in August, he was ready.
- 32:46Speaker 3: And the way he described him too, he's like just
- 32:48Speaker 3: a guy.
- 32:49Speaker 5: We're just some random guy that he saw at the
- 32:51Speaker 5: track or turned.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Out he was a former high school quarterback of some
- 32:56Speaker 2: repute as a huddle page and a Scout profile. Let
- 33:00Speaker 2: me also say this, I played high school football to
- 33:02Speaker 2: a state championship, but I played in two state championship
- 33:04Speaker 2: games at Ohio State even Columbus at Ohio State University
- 33:07Speaker 2: in Division two. He played at Division IE, the level
- 33:10Speaker 2: above one, above two from where I played. It is
- 33:15Speaker 2: not easy to make even second team All state in
- 33:18Speaker 2: Ohio and football it is hard.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's the powerhouse state.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Especially when it's their first year of ever playing football. Now,
- 33:26Speaker 2: he said he played when he was a little kid,
- 33:28Speaker 2: but he did not play in grade school, middle school,
- 33:31Speaker 2: Plague football, junior high, high school until his coach is
- 33:35Speaker 2: you heard him begging him in the hallways to come
- 33:37Speaker 2: on out, come on, and he went out. It's not
- 33:40Speaker 2: easy to get a Big ten scholarship, let alone a
- 33:42Speaker 2: Big ten scholarship after only one year of high school football.
- 33:46Speaker 2: That's what Monterey Foster did, it's not easy to stay
- 33:49Speaker 2: at college for five years in today's DNAs, especially through
- 33:53Speaker 2: a coaching change and a very ugly coaching change in
- 33:56Speaker 2: Meltucker Michigan state of sexual harassment, and he did, and
- 34:01Speaker 2: he said he's in Michigan state bleeds Green. He said,
- 34:03Speaker 2: it's not easy to get into the NFL at any
- 34:06Speaker 2: level practice squad ninety man roster, and he did that.
- 34:09Speaker 2: It's sure as hell ain't easy to be a substitute teacher.
- 34:12Speaker 2: And a real estate agent called on no notice to
- 34:14Speaker 2: come out of Seattle join the practice squad, win a
- 34:17Speaker 2: super Bowl, and b by the way, your schools call
- 34:20Speaker 2: and say, hey, can you teach science tomorrow? Our teacher's sick.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I got those calls.
- 34:26Speaker 2: You were substitute.
- 34:27Speaker 5: Teachers too taught, and you know you do that as
- 34:29Speaker 5: a side household note. I don't think there's many substitute
- 34:32Speaker 5: teachers that have teaching as their full agenda for their plans.
- 34:36Speaker 5: But you do it, and if you have the education
- 34:39Speaker 5: to do it, you go. And yeah, getting that call
- 34:42Speaker 5: at five am must have been hilarious while he's like
- 34:44Speaker 5: in training or you know, at practice.
- 34:47Speaker 2: So full disclosure. To wrap up the story, we ask
- 34:50Speaker 2: every day for Seahawks PR. I remember I told you
- 34:52Speaker 2: we can't go in the locker room because it's ninety
- 34:55Speaker 2: men and we're not allowed to pick off anyone we want.
- 34:57Speaker 2: So we are kind of at the mercy of not
- 34:59Speaker 2: kind of. We are at the mercy the Seahawks PR
- 35:00Speaker 2: department on who they provide to us to interview each day.
- 35:04Speaker 2: And we asked for a bunch of players, and we
- 35:05Speaker 2: asked for the offensive coordinator. We asked for Anthony Bradford
- 35:08Speaker 2: yesterday and they gave us Monterey Foster. And I my
- 35:11Speaker 2: first reaction was, I have nothing to ask him. And
- 35:14Speaker 2: during the show yesterday in the breaks, I was looking
- 35:16Speaker 2: up Foster and I came across his Lakewood Saint Ed's
- 35:20Speaker 2: alumni page and that's where I found out about the
- 35:23Speaker 2: substitute teaching and the gym and the Super Bowl ring.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Going back to that's and I'm cramming and during commercials
- 35:31Speaker 2: yesterday to come up with questions ask him, and I
- 35:33Speaker 2: came across this. I was like, Holy cow. And then
- 35:35Speaker 2: that's it's a great story, right, and now it's going
- 35:38Speaker 2: to be I'm writing the News Tribune and that's what
- 35:40Speaker 2: training camp is, and that's We all know about Jackson
- 35:43Speaker 2: Smith and Jigbo and Cooper Cup and AJ Barner and
- 35:46Speaker 2: Sam Darnold on the offense, but Monty Foster in the
- 35:49Speaker 2: eighty seven is one of those when you're watching the
- 35:50Speaker 2: preseason games, you can think, Ah, that's a substitute teacher
- 35:54Speaker 2: with a real estate license who's trying to make it
- 35:56Speaker 2: pretty cool story. If he makes the team, he's going
- 35:58Speaker 2: to get a lot more than thirteenthis dollars a week,
- 36:00Speaker 2: So that's that's cool for him. Up next, let's talk
- 36:05Speaker 2: to A J. Barner, the tight end. We should be
- 36:09Speaker 2: talking to him about his cowboy hat and his foe.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that's fit. I've heard talk about it. Yeah,
- 36:16Speaker 3: faux for. It was not real. It was not for
- 36:19Speaker 3: those activists out there, it was not.
- 36:21Speaker 2: He did not kill wildlife to wear.
- 36:23Speaker 3: That at the parade, went full Macklemore and threat shopped
- 36:26Speaker 3: in the hole fit.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Instead, he's going to talk about the new offensive coordinator,
- 36:30Speaker 2: Brian Flurry.
- 36:31Speaker 4: A J.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Barner's up next. Farhan Loalgy from Rams Camp from TSN
- 36:35Speaker 2: Canada down in la Is Up at eleven o'clock on
- 36:38Speaker 2: ninety three point three kJ R f M Welcome back,
- 36:57Speaker 2: Greg Bell. Just been McIntyre with you live on ninety
- 36:59Speaker 2: three point three KJRFM in Seattle. We're here every weekday
- 37:04Speaker 2: ten to noon, and usually I'm at the Virginia Mason
- 37:07Speaker 2: Athletic Center this time of day at Seahawks training camp.
- 37:09Speaker 2: But today their practice is later, and it's shorter, and
- 37:12Speaker 2: it's in T shirts and bucket hats. It's the eleventh
- 37:14Speaker 2: practice of training camp. Mike McDonald's been stretching them out
- 37:17Speaker 2: with really long practices. I asked him about that. We'll
- 37:21Speaker 2: get to that later. We'll get to a J Barner
- 37:23Speaker 2: right now. The tight end who I think is a
- 37:25Speaker 2: chance to emerge as a Pro Bowl almost all pro
- 37:28Speaker 2: type tight end in this tight end centric offense. It
- 37:31Speaker 2: is really, if not centric, might not be the word,
- 37:34Speaker 2: because of Jackson Smith and Jigbick, Cooper Cup and all
- 37:37Speaker 2: well intense correct there are focused far more on tight
- 37:41Speaker 2: ends down the field, throwing the ball down the field
- 37:43Speaker 2: to AJ Barner, Elijah Royo, Heck, Eric Salbert, Nick Vennett
- 37:48Speaker 2: than they were last year under Klint. Kubiak and AJ
- 37:52Speaker 2: Barner sat down yesterday at training camp with Dave Softy
- 37:55Speaker 2: Maller and Hugh Mellen to talk about this in their
- 37:57Speaker 2: new offensive coordinator, Brian Fleurry.
- 38:00Speaker 8: Brian Florey coming in talk about the use of multiple
- 38:03Speaker 8: tight ends that you expect to see for us to
- 38:07Speaker 8: see with the Seaharks this year.
- 38:09Speaker 9: Yeah, I think you're seeing that because you know that
- 38:11Speaker 9: the tight end position is almost becoming a position where
- 38:15Speaker 9: each guy can create their own role in it. You know,
- 38:18Speaker 9: you have a guy like Kenyan Sadik, for example, who
- 38:21Speaker 9: got drafted in the first round from Oregon, who's you know,
- 38:24Speaker 9: a six to one guy at two thirty five, two forty.
- 38:26Speaker 9: Or you have someone like myself who's you know, six
- 38:29Speaker 9: six and two sixty in a little bit of a
- 38:31Speaker 9: different role. And I think with our with our room
- 38:33Speaker 9: here in Seattle. Uh, you mentioned Elijah. Elijah's one of
- 38:37Speaker 9: those guys that's extremely talented player that can really stretch
- 38:40Speaker 9: the field vertically, almost like your ex receiver from back
- 38:45Speaker 9: in the day. But now you have them as a
- 38:47Speaker 9: tight end as well and able to line up with
- 38:51Speaker 9: his hand on the ground, in the hip, in the
- 38:53Speaker 9: slot all the way out at number one. And then
- 38:56Speaker 9: you have guys like Eric Sobert and Nick Caller up
- 38:58Speaker 9: and Brady Russell who Brady might line up at fullback
- 39:02Speaker 9: and the next play he might line up at tight end,
- 39:04Speaker 9: and it kind of creates this confusion for defense and
- 39:07Speaker 9: adds an extra gap to the to the to the field,
- 39:10Speaker 9: and you know you can run play action keep a
- 39:12Speaker 9: guy in protection. So I say all that to say that,
- 39:15Speaker 9: you know, the position is really growing into a position
- 39:18Speaker 9: where you almost can carve out a role within the
- 39:21Speaker 9: offense that can be unique to yourself. And we're blessed
- 39:25Speaker 9: here in Seattle to have a really good position coach
- 39:27Speaker 9: and Mac Brown and have coach Flurry come in as well,
- 39:30Speaker 9: who has a lot of experience with tight ends. And
- 39:32Speaker 9: I think coach Mike as well is a guy that
- 39:36Speaker 9: you know, really values the tight end position. He knows
- 39:39Speaker 9: what that can do to a defense, how talented tight
- 39:42Speaker 9: ends play on the edge. And you know, we're we're
- 39:45Speaker 9: really just scratching the surface here, and we have high
- 39:48Speaker 9: expectations for the entire room this season.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Indeed, you do a J barner with this.
- 39:53Speaker 8: Let's stay there because I'm gonna I'm gonna share with
- 39:56Speaker 8: you the analysis that I that I give Dave about
- 39:59Speaker 8: you you and then you tell me your reaction to
- 40:03Speaker 8: my analysis.
- 40:03Speaker 2: So what.
- 40:04Speaker 8: First of all, I say, hey, we got the tight
- 40:06Speaker 8: end for Michigan. Oh not not Colston Lovelin, the other guy.
- 40:10Speaker 8: We get him in the mid rounds Okay. So I'm like, okay,
- 40:13Speaker 8: all right, so let's see what he's got. And then
- 40:16Speaker 8: I said, watching him and really, when I saw him
- 40:19Speaker 8: in practice, I was standing eight feet behind him, I'm
- 40:21Speaker 8: talking about you. When I say him, I'm talking about
- 40:22Speaker 8: a J.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Barner.
- 40:24Speaker 8: I said, I had no idea to frame this guy,
- 40:26Speaker 8: the thin waiste, the development through. He just looks like
- 40:30Speaker 8: an athlete through and through. Like I played with a
- 40:33Speaker 8: Pro Bowl tight ends in my career. I got a
- 40:35Speaker 8: little bit of an eye on a tight end. I said,
- 40:37Speaker 8: you have no idea that I'll say, I had no
- 40:40Speaker 8: idea the athlete that was inside that mid round dude,
- 40:44Speaker 8: George Kittle was a fifth rounder for crying out loud,
- 40:46Speaker 8: and they right. And so I have opened my eyes
- 40:51Speaker 8: to how good you are and what you can become.
- 40:54Speaker 8: Is that a fair analysis? And are we just seeing
- 40:56Speaker 8: the very beginning of a J. Barner in a in
- 40:59Speaker 8: a star career.
- 41:00Speaker 9: Yeah, I really appreciate that, and I think you know,
- 41:03Speaker 9: I've definitely let that. Let's say affect me a little
- 41:07Speaker 9: bit in the past too, being a guy that got
- 41:09Speaker 9: drafted in the mid round and being a guy that
- 41:11Speaker 9: maybe wasn't the number one guy in college and you
- 41:14Speaker 9: kind of feel like, oh, shoot, maybe I'm not, you know,
- 41:17Speaker 9: one of the best. You know, But I think when
- 41:20Speaker 9: you boil it down to really putting your best foot
- 41:24Speaker 9: forward and doing your job over and over, and I
- 41:27Speaker 9: think that's where I'm really gonna take a step this
- 41:29Speaker 9: year is really dialing into my details, my process, and
- 41:34Speaker 9: you know, not be focused on necessarily the results that
- 41:37Speaker 9: come from it, but the process that goes into it
- 41:40Speaker 9: and everything that I want to come out of that
- 41:42Speaker 9: will we'll be able to come true. So I appreciate
- 41:45Speaker 9: the analysis for sure. I think this sky's the limit
- 41:49Speaker 9: and I think any guy that you know, has the
- 41:51Speaker 9: confidence to believe in himself in this league can really
- 41:54Speaker 9: do something special. And I think I'm really willing to
- 41:56Speaker 9: put in the work day in and day out because
- 41:59Speaker 9: I've said it before, I love this game of football. Unfortunately,
- 42:02Speaker 9: I really don't have any hobbies outside.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Of that, which said, what do you do when you
- 42:06Speaker 2: leave here?
- 42:07Speaker 9: Yeah, Bro's like watch film, you know, Like I mean,
- 42:11Speaker 9: I just I'm it's sometimes to a fault, Like I've
- 42:14Speaker 9: had the conversations with the Vets before where I need
- 42:16Speaker 9: to find a hobby outside of ball because sometimes the
- 42:19Speaker 9: days get long in the offseason, But when it comes
- 42:23Speaker 9: down to times like this in camp, it's like what
- 42:25Speaker 9: else would you rather be doing?
- 42:26Speaker 2: Sure?
- 42:27Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm excited for the future.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Hey. J. Barner, a Super Bowl winning Seahawks tight end
- 42:33Speaker 2: with Dave Softyballer and Humel in a training camp yesterday
- 42:35Speaker 2: from the Seahawks. He didn't say it there, but a J.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Barner has said he thinks he's the best tight end
- 42:40Speaker 2: in the league. He thinks that he is an all
- 42:43Speaker 2: Pro and all pro calory. Ask him what his goals are,
- 42:45Speaker 2: he says, to make All Pro. He has a chance
- 42:48Speaker 2: to be. And I'm not comparing him in ability or
- 42:51Speaker 2: accomplishments for sure yet, but he has a chance to be.
- 42:54Speaker 2: The Seahawks. George Kittle. George Kittle was the prize student
- 42:58Speaker 2: of Brian Flurry to see how offensive coordinator. For six
- 43:02Speaker 2: seven years Brian Flury was the tight ends coach. Well,
- 43:05Speaker 2: it was actually about four of those seven years that
- 43:08Speaker 2: he was the tight ends coach. He was quality control
- 43:10Speaker 2: and other things. Before that, he was the tight ends
- 43:13Speaker 2: coach for George Kittle and San Francisco. It is the
- 43:16Speaker 2: same type of design offense of trying to use here.
- 43:19Speaker 2: They're using tight ends in motion, a lot quick motions
- 43:21Speaker 2: right before the snap. They're motioning them off the wing
- 43:24Speaker 2: back into the backfit as a fullback. You heard him
- 43:25Speaker 2: talk about Brady Russell. Brady Russell's doing all kinds of work,
- 43:28Speaker 2: is fullback and tight end right now because Robbie Yuts's season,
- 43:32Speaker 2: if not career, is suddenly in jeopardy and the ominous
- 43:35Speaker 2: sounding of Mike McDonald earlier this week. AJ Barner on
- 43:39Speaker 2: the increased usage and rolls for the tight ends, it
- 43:42Speaker 2: looks like they're gonna be down the field in this
- 43:43Speaker 2: new offense under Brian Flurry, the tight ends coach last
- 43:46Speaker 2: year for the forty nine ers. Up next, we're going
- 43:49Speaker 2: to go to Los Angeles. My buddy farhar On Lolgy
- 43:52Speaker 2: of TSN Canada is making a swing of the California
- 43:55Speaker 2: training camps. He's been to the forty nine Ers, he's
- 43:56Speaker 2: been to the Raiders, he's been to the Rams, been
- 43:59Speaker 2: to the Caloys, he's been to the Chargers. Today We're
- 44:01Speaker 2: gonna ask him about the Rams and the forty nine Ers,
- 44:03Speaker 2: in particular what he saw in those camps. Far Hunt's
- 44:06Speaker 2: next on ninety three point three k j.
- 44:08Speaker 10: R f M.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Welcome back, Greig Bell, just from Neck and Tire week

- 44:33Speaker 2: Chargers training camp. He was at RAMS and forty nine
- 44:36Speaker 2: Ers before that. He's coming up next right after this

- 44:46Speaker 2: check c H E c K I spelled at this time.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Spelling it check. Go to nine three three KJR dot com.
- 44:52Speaker 3: On your grammar folks, on your spelling bees.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Far hund Logy has been a traveling man all over
- 44:58Speaker 2: California and the training camps down there, and he joined
- 45:02Speaker 2: us on the Beacon Plumbing high Line. Thank you, sir.
- 45:04Speaker 2: How are you so?
- 45:07Speaker 11: I was excited to get to these camps. You know,
- 45:09Speaker 11: I'm even more excited to be back in Seattle next
- 45:11Speaker 11: week to hang out with you for at least one
- 45:13Speaker 11: day of Seahawks camp.
- 45:14Speaker 12: Then as well.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Oh, I appreciate that. All right, let me just start
- 45:17Speaker 2: with you know.
- 45:17Speaker 11: The best part is there's no music right now, like
- 45:19Speaker 11: there's music in warm up. You know, some practices of
- 45:22Speaker 11: music's throat, yep. I always talked to Luke Wilson about
- 45:26Speaker 11: technical Thursday. You know, here the music has stopped one
- 45:30Speaker 11: swarm up and so I can talk to you in
- 45:31Speaker 11: a civilized man.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I don't have to yell what kind of music they
- 45:34Speaker 2: play a Chargers camp for.
- 45:35Speaker 11: Uh, it was all the old school stuff like no
- 45:41Speaker 11: current hip hop or anything like that, because you can't
- 45:43Speaker 11: imagine that Jim Harbo would want something like that, right.
- 45:46Speaker 2: That's why I asked exactly. All right, let's go to
- 45:49Speaker 2: the news first. You were at Rams camp yesterday up
- 45:53Speaker 2: the road there in Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, I believe,
- 45:56Speaker 2: and Aaron Donald had a quote tryout, had to have
- 45:59Speaker 2: a tryout officially because he had a helmet on. Apparently,
- 46:03Speaker 2: when's Aaron Donald coming? And I mean I'm reading it
- 46:06Speaker 2: as it's a done deal. He just is smart enough
- 46:08Speaker 2: not to show up in August, he'll wait till the
- 46:10Speaker 2: end of training camp, jump on a plane and go
- 46:11Speaker 2: to Australia. And here we go.
- 46:14Speaker 11: Yeah, I tend to think to say, you know, and
- 46:16Speaker 11: he's been around, and they're not at.
- 46:18Speaker 12: The regular facility.
- 46:19Speaker 11: They're in there at Loyola Marramount after the first part
- 46:22Speaker 11: of camp and at least for another few more days.
- 46:24Speaker 11: And so you know, that was the interesting part because
- 46:26Speaker 11: the last time we saw video of him it was
- 46:27Speaker 11: at their facility, and now he's here. You mentioned to
- 46:29Speaker 11: put on their helmet, and obviously the staff was involved
- 46:32Speaker 11: with forcing him out and he's just trying to get
- 46:33Speaker 11: up to speed. And Vena said that this is trending
- 46:35Speaker 11: in a positive direction. So I'm with you, right, Gus
- 46:38Speaker 11: thirty five years old. Now there is no need for
- 46:40Speaker 11: him to be in training camp, there is no need
- 46:42Speaker 11: for him to take part in the preseason.
- 46:44Speaker 12: And I'm sure he will get.
- 46:45Speaker 11: Out to regular practice over the next couple of weeks,
- 46:48Speaker 11: but it's all going to be modified and limited.
- 46:50Speaker 2: You know.
- 46:50Speaker 11: You even look at Miles Garrett and here it's only thirty, right,
- 46:53Speaker 11: he looked at yesterday was his first day and he'd
- 46:56Speaker 11: then five He missed five days and then he practiced
- 47:00Speaker 11: in this one and even then he came out late and.
- 47:03Speaker 12: Probably took I want to.
- 47:05Speaker 11: Say, three to four reps during during eleven on eleven periods.
- 47:09Speaker 11: So the one thing with McVeigh is he probably manages
- 47:14Speaker 11: his roster more than anybody. And this is what happens
- 47:18Speaker 11: when you've got an older team. You know, he was
- 47:20Speaker 11: talking to our analyst David Sanchez. You used to play
- 47:22Speaker 11: it for the Chargers and like, the defense just crushed
- 47:25Speaker 11: the offense yesterday. Well, one of the reasons that happened
- 47:28Speaker 11: is is Matthew Stafford had a day off. He gets
- 47:29Speaker 11: every second day off in the training camp. DeVante Adams
- 47:32Speaker 11: had a maintenance day, right, So now you've got stets in,
- 47:34Speaker 11: Benett during the puk and Nakua and who else, right,
- 47:36Speaker 11: So no wonder the defense, even without Donald and primarily Garrett,
- 47:41Speaker 11: the defense still dominated.
- 47:42Speaker 12: But it kind of shows you what would happen.
- 47:44Speaker 11: If one of these key players got birds, right, So
- 47:47Speaker 11: they've got to manage it as carefully as possible to.
- 47:49Speaker 11: And I think the Australian trip will take a bit
- 47:51Speaker 11: of a toll because you know there's travel and time
- 47:53Speaker 11: zone and everything. Associated with that. It gets you out
- 47:55Speaker 11: of your routine. So you know, we'll see what impact
- 47:57Speaker 11: that has on that team. And you know, as I
- 47:59Speaker 11: got asked to analyze what Seattle Los Angeles Rams matchup
- 48:05Speaker 11: is going to look like, you're not going to know
- 48:07Speaker 11: because on Christmas Days, these two teams, especially the Rams,
- 48:10Speaker 11: should look entirely different.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Yes, the Seahawks are counting on the Rams look entirely different.
- 48:15Speaker 2: From December to August, foreign loaves joining us from California
- 48:19Speaker 2: in the NFL training camps down there on the Beacon
- 48:21Speaker 2: Plumbing Hotline TSN and Canada. The NFL guy for TSN
- 48:25Speaker 2: and Canada. How much Maybe you aren't there long enough,
- 48:29Speaker 2: but how much are the Rams talking about the Seahawks?
- 48:32Speaker 2: Is that or are they just above it all because
- 48:35Speaker 2: now they're the greatest team on it. They're like the
- 48:36Speaker 2: Dream Team and they're the new Lebron James Miami Heat,
- 48:40Speaker 2: and it's just they're above the Seahawks.
- 48:44Speaker 11: They're not talking about it. But I also don't think
- 48:45Speaker 11: anyone's asking about it. I think that question got posed.
- 48:48Speaker 11: I think they would they would address it, right, you know,
- 48:51Speaker 11: in reference to the whole super team conversation.
- 48:54Speaker 12: That's happening right.
- 48:55Speaker 11: McVay didn't run from that, and he said that it's
- 48:58Speaker 11: important for them to kind of stay connec didn't stay together,
- 49:01Speaker 11: and make sure they don't get too far ahead of themselves.
- 49:03Speaker 11: I did ask Miles Geary yesterday about that label, and
- 49:06Speaker 11: he didn't admit that it had been talked about in
- 49:08Speaker 11: even though that VID said he'd had.
- 49:09Speaker 2: But he does.
- 49:10Speaker 11: He said, look, we need to earn our way just
- 49:11Speaker 11: to get to the opening game. So they're trying to
- 49:13Speaker 11: stay at present, you know, as much as possible. And
- 49:17Speaker 11: I think that super team talk is it's taken over right,
- 49:21Speaker 11: as opposed to talking specifically about can you beat the Seahawks.
- 49:25Speaker 11: These guys are favorites. There's going to be a lot
- 49:26Speaker 11: of pressure on them. They're built to win now, like
- 49:28Speaker 11: they had nothing out of their draft class, you know,
- 49:30Speaker 11: they just trade those things away like candy. It's all
- 49:33Speaker 11: about today, and so there is there's pressure that goes
- 49:36Speaker 11: to that, whether the Seahawks are in the division or not.
- 49:38Speaker 2: You've you've been to Seahawks training camps, many of them
- 49:40Speaker 2: for years with me standing next to me on the
- 49:42Speaker 2: sidelines and rent and how different is a RAMS camp.
- 49:44Speaker 2: How m they you mentioned he gives a lot of
- 49:47Speaker 2: veterans off, a lot of rel how different. Hello, I
- 49:51Speaker 2: think we still got you. Uh huh.
- 49:55Speaker 12: I want to try me back. I think I lost you, Greg.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Oh he lost us. We did not lose him. I'll
- 50:00Speaker 3: dial him back.
- 50:00Speaker 2: What I'm about to ask him is to compare the
- 50:02Speaker 2: Rams camp and how McVeigh runs it to how Mike
- 50:06Speaker 2: McDonald runs it four nine, four to five one. Anything
- 50:07Speaker 2: on the Cooma Dodge text line. Anything you want to
- 50:09Speaker 2: ask about the Rams and Rams Camp or forty nine ers.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Do that right now, and I'll ask Barhan when we
- 50:13Speaker 2: get him back on. But I was going to ask him, Hello, sir,
- 50:16Speaker 2: we got you back, not yet, Okay, Elsegundo. You know
- 50:21Speaker 2: it's at the end of LAX's runways, so maybe it's
- 50:24Speaker 2: not so easy. They are near, I think at the
- 50:26Speaker 2: same area, if not right, at the same place the
- 50:29Speaker 2: Raiders used to train when the Raiders. At times the
- 50:32Speaker 2: Raiders used to train in Elsegundo, and then when they
- 50:34Speaker 2: moved back to Oakland, they were still training in El Segunda.
- 50:37Speaker 2: They would commute. I think we have Farham back in Elsagundo,
- 50:40Speaker 2: California Chargers camp out. Hello, sir, I was about to
- 50:43Speaker 2: ask you here. I was about to ask you of
- 50:46Speaker 2: all the years you've sat next stood next to me
- 50:48Speaker 2: on the sidelines and rent and watching Sea Arc practice,
- 50:50Speaker 2: especially the last two with Mike McDonald. That's three. How
- 50:54Speaker 2: different is how Sean McVay runs it. You mentioned he
- 50:56Speaker 2: gives veterans the time off, But is there anything you
- 50:59Speaker 2: know or outstanding about just how RAMS camp is conducted?
- 51:04Speaker 11: Well, RAMS Camp is like laid back, It's entirely different.
- 51:07Speaker 11: They play at Loyola Marramount and which doesn't have a
- 51:10Speaker 11: football program, so they're on the soccer field and it's
- 51:12Speaker 11: quite removed from the stands. You know, there's a lot
- 51:15Speaker 11: of distance there, and after team practice is on a
- 51:18Speaker 11: separate field, like behind the bleachers, so it's not like
- 51:20Speaker 11: two field side by side where there's still that connection,
- 51:22Speaker 11: and approaches are kind of going back and forth, you know,
- 51:25Speaker 11: and it's it's also one of those pamps where like
- 51:27Speaker 11: guys aren't all out right, so that changes the energy.
- 51:30Speaker 11: Same with San Francisco, Like I was there the other
- 51:32Speaker 11: day and everybody was injured. Dallas, everybody was there, energy
- 51:35Speaker 11: was high, and they kind of set it up that
- 51:37Speaker 11: way in Dallas as well, like Jerry Jones wants fans,
- 51:40Speaker 11: he wants attention. He lets you, you know, film every
- 51:43Speaker 11: minute of the practice, right, so you know, in San
- 51:47Speaker 11: Francisco there's no there were some fans.
- 51:48Speaker 12: They're really far removed from everything that's going on.
- 51:51Speaker 11: So yeah, I would I would say that the rams
- 51:54Speaker 11: are are a little more low key than what you
- 51:56Speaker 11: see in Seattle, especially when the burm is full of Seattle,
- 51:58Speaker 11: because then the energy is really.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Exactly And Mike McDonald he gives veteran rest days, but
- 52:03Speaker 2: usually one offs and not the hordes of guys. Letard
- 52:06Speaker 2: Williams yesterday, thirty two years old, was dominating the next
- 52:09Speaker 2: to last period of a three hour practice yesterday, So yeah,
- 52:12Speaker 2: they push it. Wow, Yeah it was I wrote about
- 52:15Speaker 2: it in the Newstribune. It was very interesting to see
- 52:17Speaker 2: a guy twelve years in the league pushing it at
- 52:19Speaker 2: the end of a three hour practice. Derek Hall.
- 52:21Speaker 11: I think one thing I like about the one thing
- 52:23Speaker 11: I like about McDonald is that I think he's fully
- 52:27Speaker 11: aware of the fact he's still new at this and yeah,
- 52:29Speaker 11: you won a super.
- 52:30Speaker 12: Bowl in your second year, But I don't think he
- 52:32Speaker 12: thinks that. For granted, I still think he feels he's.
- 52:34Speaker 11: Got another level to get to as a coach. He's
- 52:37Speaker 11: not concerned about trying new things and trying new ways
- 52:40Speaker 11: of messaging, and.
- 52:41Speaker 12: I think that's rare.
- 52:42Speaker 11: I think one of the things with McVeigh is people
- 52:44Speaker 11: talk about his emotional intelligence. It's exceptionally high, but I
- 52:48Speaker 11: you know, I also think that he's a little more
- 52:50Speaker 11: structured at how he does things. I think McDonald is
- 52:52Speaker 11: still evolving daily, you know, certainly yearly.
- 52:56Speaker 2: That's a very interesting point. I agree with you on
- 52:58Speaker 2: McDonald's still evolving in the next level there to the
- 53:01Speaker 2: forty nine ers. In Kyle Shanahan's guys, let's updates, what's
- 53:05Speaker 2: the status as you hear about George Kittle and his
- 53:08Speaker 2: return from injury? Is Fred Warner full goo as in
- 53:11Speaker 2: eleven on eleven full go? And what are the returning
- 53:14Speaker 2: forty nine ers injury looking at well?
- 53:17Speaker 11: I think they had like twenty players out yesterday and
- 53:20Speaker 11: the assistant coach you talked about it afterwards, said that no, no,
- 53:23Speaker 11: we're fine. It's just bumps, some bruises and that's the
- 53:25Speaker 11: result of playing hard. And I think it's more than that.
- 53:27Speaker 11: And I also think that they're pretty gun shy. They've
- 53:29Speaker 11: had so many injuries for you know, for a couple
- 53:31Speaker 11: of years now, right, they are really really concerned. I
- 53:35Speaker 11: did see Warner get full eleven on eleven reps when
- 53:37Speaker 11: I was there at practice. You know, Mike Evans had
- 53:40Speaker 11: had a day off. I think he was dealing with
- 53:43Speaker 11: a quad issue. But already they lost for key pearsall
- 53:46Speaker 11: they you know, they initially I think when they signed
- 53:48Speaker 11: Deebo Samuel, the thought wasn't that he would have a
- 53:51Speaker 11: huge role, right, that he would be more of a
- 53:53Speaker 11: third receiver, rotational guy.
- 53:55Speaker 12: And they've committed to having him run back kicks. I
- 53:56Speaker 12: think very quickly he's going to get elevated into a
- 53:59Speaker 12: higher role.
- 54:00Speaker 11: You know, people talk about this team, Georgie, you asked
- 54:03Speaker 11: about George Kittle. They're hopeful but not certain that he'll
- 54:05Speaker 11: be ready for day one. So I wouldn't expect him
- 54:07Speaker 11: to be involved in much practice, you know, until the
- 54:10Speaker 11: late stages of training camp at all, he wasn't even
- 54:13Speaker 11: out there. And then you've got Shanahan himself, right, and
- 54:16Speaker 11: you know they expect him to be ready for the
- 54:17Speaker 11: opening game, but he's going to vary his level of
- 54:20Speaker 11: engagement through all of this, so I'm sure if you're
- 54:22Speaker 11: one of the assistants, you probably don't want to be
- 54:23Speaker 11: too aggressive with some of these guys that are banged
- 54:25Speaker 11: up because they head coach my kid angry at you.
- 54:28Speaker 11: The day I was there, he wasn't even out watching right,
- 54:30Speaker 11: whereas I think two days earlier he was standing next
- 54:33Speaker 11: to John Lynch outside, you know, kind of just observing,
- 54:36Speaker 11: not overly engaged in anything.
- 54:38Speaker 12: So I think the injuries there are real.
- 54:40Speaker 11: I don't know that because it's the substation, but you know,
- 54:43Speaker 11: people talk about this being a big three in the
- 54:46Speaker 11: NFC West. I don't see it. I just see a
- 54:48Speaker 11: big two.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Huhar Lowsy TSN Canada joining us. He's been to the
- 54:53Speaker 2: forty nine Ers camp, He's been to the Rams camp.
- 54:56Speaker 2: He's been to Cowboys, Raiders not Raiders not yet, and
- 55:00Speaker 2: Chargers vun This Australia trip coming out, they play the
- 55:05Speaker 2: Niners and the Rams play each other September tenth in Australia.
- 55:08Speaker 2: It's a fifteen to sixteen hour flight. The Rams correct
- 55:12Speaker 2: me if I'm wrong. Are just going to fly in
- 55:14Speaker 2: almost a day before and fly right back out, hoping
- 55:16Speaker 2: that their bodies aren't affected. By the time and date
- 55:19Speaker 2: change and the forty nine ers are doing it differently
- 55:22Speaker 2: in a few days ahead of time. Was there much
- 55:24Speaker 2: How much is that dominating the camp preparing for that
- 55:27Speaker 2: one off trip to the other side of the world.
- 55:31Speaker 11: Well, I don't think it is now, but I do
- 55:32Speaker 11: think in the two weeks leading up to that game,
- 55:34Speaker 11: as we get into late August, I think they definitely
- 55:36Speaker 11: will start adjusting things in that regard, whether that's practice
- 55:39Speaker 11: time changes or things like that. And yeah, you're right,
- 55:42Speaker 11: the Niners have said they're going in a week early,
- 55:44Speaker 11: and the Rams McVeigh hasn't.
- 55:47Speaker 12: Said for sure what he's doing it. He said it'll
- 55:49Speaker 12: be similar.
- 55:50Speaker 11: To the last time they went overseas, which was they
- 55:52Speaker 11: got in thirty hours before kickoff. I think that's bizarre
- 55:55Speaker 11: when you've got the length of trip and the time
- 55:58Speaker 11: change associated with that kind of trip to Australia, you know,
- 56:02Speaker 11: with a sixteen hour trip, I think that's malpractice. I
- 56:05Speaker 11: think you are absolutely setting yourself up for injury. And
- 56:08Speaker 11: I understand that the game you know, will be played,
- 56:10Speaker 11: you know more along what you know. Our timelines aren't
- 56:13Speaker 11: here in North America, but it's still different and the
- 56:17Speaker 11: trip takes hims holl I think you know. I mean, look,
- 56:20Speaker 11: he's a smart guy who knows what he's doing. He's
- 56:21Speaker 11: won a Super Bowl, and you know, he's one of
- 56:23Speaker 11: the most successful coaches in the league. But I don't
- 56:26Speaker 11: know how this works with a trip like that. I
- 56:28Speaker 11: think you're setting yourself up for a level of failure
- 56:31Speaker 11: if you go in thirty hours before following a sixteen.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Hour trip, right. The theory on that. There are theories
- 56:37Speaker 2: in science that says if you go in very late.
- 56:39Speaker 2: People have done it to London, where if you go
- 56:41Speaker 2: in the day before, your body doesn't body adjustment or anything.
- 56:46Speaker 2: But it's a different deal.
- 56:48Speaker 12: In rams camp.
- 56:48Speaker 11: I wonder if it's an FBI agent overhead just shutting
- 56:51Speaker 11: everything off after ships and off.
- 56:54Speaker 2: Fine, can't hear me, but I can hear him musing
- 56:57Speaker 2: about FBI ag This way, you can hear me, Jim Harve,
- 56:59Speaker 2: I can hear you. Hello, Yeah, we'll try to get
- 57:05Speaker 2: far Hun back for one more or two questions before
- 57:07Speaker 2: we have to break. But yeah, there is a science
- 57:09Speaker 2: that says in NFL teams and other teams have studied
- 57:12Speaker 2: other sports that for it. Overseas a international trip, you
- 57:16Speaker 2: fly in as late as possible, perhaps the night or
- 57:18Speaker 2: day before the Raiders when they played the Seahawks did
- 57:21Speaker 2: this in London in twenty eighteen because the bodies, you
- 57:25Speaker 2: don't have time, you're not there long enough to adjust
- 57:27Speaker 2: before the game, and you just treat it and wake
- 57:29Speaker 2: the schedules up like their home. But sixteen hours of flight,
- 57:34Speaker 2: it's a little hard to just drop in, get off
- 57:36Speaker 2: the plane, check in the hotel, and play the game
- 57:38Speaker 2: the next day on a sixteen hour flight. So far
- 57:41Speaker 2: in Lawsy back at Raiders old Raiders facility in Elsa Gundo,
- 57:45Speaker 2: it's the Chargers now. I was asking about the science.
- 57:49Speaker 2: I was talking about the science of the trips and whatnot.
- 57:51Speaker 2: But all right, what else? Pope pur questioned, what we
- 57:53Speaker 2: have you for a few more minutes about whether it's
- 57:55Speaker 2: Cowboys camp or Chargers camp. You're seeing now? What has
- 57:58Speaker 2: stood out to you? What are you going to remember
- 58:00Speaker 2: when you go talk to your son and your daughter
- 58:03Speaker 2: and your wife about this trip.
- 58:04Speaker 11: Football, Well, they're not going to be remotely interested. My
- 58:08Speaker 11: quarterback playing Sons is not going to be remotely And
- 58:10Speaker 11: he said, I love watching I love watching Lad McConkey
- 58:13Speaker 11: out here because this guy is like he's there's just
- 58:16Speaker 11: so much energy in his game. Uh, the way he
- 58:19Speaker 11: bounces around. And when I look at players and how
- 58:22Speaker 11: they how they're going to measure with their head coaches
- 58:23Speaker 11: or their coordinators, Mike McDaniel and Ladd McConkey, I think
- 58:27Speaker 11: are going to be perfect together because.
- 58:29Speaker 12: They seem so much alike.
- 58:30Speaker 11: And you know, in the early stages of McDaniel's time
- 58:32Speaker 11: with the Dolphins, when you know everything was going well
- 58:35Speaker 11: and you'd see him and just how he was dressed.
- 58:37Speaker 12: And walking around.
- 58:38Speaker 11: I think one of the ESPN guys at one point said,
- 58:40Speaker 11: this guy looks like a kid whose parents have gone
- 58:43Speaker 11: away for the weekend and he's got the house to himself,
- 58:45Speaker 11: and so there's a pool there, there's going to be
- 58:47Speaker 11: a party, and you know, he's liked that with me
- 58:49Speaker 11: on me on green shoes right now, and he's bouncing
- 58:51Speaker 11: around and he's kind of acting the same way, and
- 58:53Speaker 11: there's just such a fit there.
- 58:54Speaker 12: And every time McConkie.
- 58:56Speaker 11: Like dives to make catches plays to the crowd, and
- 58:58Speaker 11: I think McDaniel is on the on that. So you know,
- 59:01Speaker 11: I enjoyed players that are coaches that still try to
- 59:04Speaker 11: bring that out in players and McDaniel and Harbaugh even
- 59:06Speaker 11: the way they conduct themselves in the field so different.
- 59:09Speaker 11: You know, Harbor kind of looks like the old from Mudgeon.
- 59:10Speaker 11: He's kind of limping around here a little bit. But
- 59:12Speaker 11: McDaniel's just got that bounce in the steps. So I'm
- 59:15Speaker 11: enjoying that. You know, Justin Herbert Man does he throw
- 59:18Speaker 11: a pretty ball, Like when you know, you go here
- 59:20Speaker 11: and you see Dak and you see Party. You come
- 59:22Speaker 11: out here and you see Justin Herbert and and there's
- 59:25Speaker 11: just a different way this guy throws the football.
- 59:27Speaker 12: And you'll wonder if, like when he's got every tool
- 59:30Speaker 12: that he always leaves you want them.
- 59:32Speaker 11: And I know a lot of that has been the
- 59:33Speaker 11: team and even last year the injuries around the Rams.
- 59:35Speaker 12: Can he finally live up to it? You know?
- 59:39Speaker 11: For me, the Cowboys camp I really enjoyed primarily because
- 59:42Speaker 11: there was no drama. It almost made Jerry Jones nervous.
- 59:45Speaker 11: You know, there was a there was a there was
- 59:47Speaker 11: a senator the other day that said that your current
- 59:50Speaker 11: president gets a little anxious when he has an unexpressed thought.
- 59:54Speaker 11: I think that's Jerry Jones as well, right, And so
- 59:57Speaker 11: you know he wants attention, he wants it to happen.
- 59:59Speaker 11: And every camp I'm covered with the Cowboys, there's always
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: been Zach Martin holding out, Dak Preshcott contract issues, see
- 1:00:05Speaker 11: land contract issues.
- 1:00:05Speaker 12: My comparisons. Are you going to get traded?
- 1:00:07Speaker 11: There's none of that analys right, So I think that
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: was that was kind of a weird vibe at their camp.
- 1:00:12Speaker 12: You know, energy was good. But you know, I I
- 1:00:15Speaker 12: look at how teams.
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: Kind of interact and get along and what the vibe
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: checks are, Like, I know, everything we do is so
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: much about analytics, and I just you know, I look
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: at how some.
- 1:00:24Speaker 12: Of these these groups work together.
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: And just what you know, you try to get chemistry
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: cues as much as possible. And I you know, I
- 1:00:34Speaker 11: think the Chargers this could be the time they finally
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: actually make a legitimate push, right. I mean, you know,
- 1:00:39Speaker 11: we know what the Broncos are going to do in
- 1:00:41Speaker 11: that division with Kansas City, so but I think the Chargers,
- 1:00:44Speaker 11: I think they for real are going to be able
- 1:00:45Speaker 11: to contend in that division the way things look right now.
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: And you know, I'll.
- 1:00:50Speaker 11: Tell you this, the hard knocks I just saw clips
- 1:00:52Speaker 11: and because I didn't see this as much when I
- 1:00:54Speaker 11: was there last week with you and Jenarian Price was behind,
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: you know, George Halani and and we knew they were
- 1:01:01Speaker 11: kind of bringing him along slowly. Watching the way he
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: runs and that.
- 1:01:03Speaker 12: Stuff off the Hard Knocks video, I got excited watching.
- 1:01:06Speaker 11: That's gonna be exciting when we get back there on
- 1:01:08Speaker 11: Wednesday and see what this guy does.
- 1:01:10Speaker 12: Because if he.
- 1:01:11Speaker 11: Runs like that, and he saw a bit of that
- 1:01:14Speaker 11: with Tired Williams yesterday with the Rams and with the Rams,
- 1:01:18Speaker 11: you know, he's always been this kind of complete player,
- 1:01:20Speaker 11: that complete good out of the backfield, good, you know,
- 1:01:23Speaker 11: at running back. But this offseason he decided that he
- 1:01:26Speaker 11: wanted to not do any receiver drums. He wants to
- 1:01:29Speaker 11: be completely low to the ground on every cut and
- 1:01:31Speaker 11: the explosive And it showed in the way he was practicing,
- 1:01:34Speaker 11: in the balance he had, in the acceleration he had.
- 1:01:36Speaker 11: And I saw that in Generium Prices caught some that
- 1:01:39Speaker 11: Hard Knocks clip that was posted by the NFL. I'm like,
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: I got excited to see that. If he can run
- 1:01:44Speaker 11: like that for real, we're not going to be talking
- 1:01:46Speaker 11: about Kenni Walker in Seattle.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: They he's made a move. Since you were a training
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: camp last week. For sure. He's much more in the
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: starters than he had been. Well, and I'll see you
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: next week. I appreciate you joining us. I know you're
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: in the middle of covering of camp and I know
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: how that can go. So thanks a lot, joy the
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: trip back. I'll see you when you get back. Thank you.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Farhun lawsy tsn Canada a good friend of mine. I
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: know his family. No, his son is trying to break
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: into college football right now, ending his high school timing.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: He's on the recruiting trail, but he's been all over
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: the camps. The takeaway from that, as he said, everyone's
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: talking about a big three in the NFC West. He says,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: I don't see it. He said, the forty nine ers
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: are just broken. Dude's hurt all over the place.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: You hate to hear it.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: He also said the Rams, Yeah, he Aaron Donald's sign
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: and it's just he's not going to sign in training camp.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: He's gonna wait till the end of August. If you
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: miss that, you can go to the iHeartRadio app go
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: to nine through three KJR dot com The Greg Bell
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Show on the left side of the page our podcast page.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: You can hear our entire interview with Farha Loggy with
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Montory Foster, the very interesting story the substitute teacher and
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: real estate agent from Ohio interview trying to make the
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Seahawks roster up. Next Your Chance to be a part
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: of the show, and the Jimithy thing.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: Man, Oh, We've got a lot of really good talk
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: about it.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: There's another one, one of these. We've had some subjects
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: that have hit up the text line and this one
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: sure did. Jimsy and the Mariners next on the text
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Line on ninety three point three and the Talkbacks on
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: ninety three point three KJRFM.
- 1:03:19Speaker 13: There should be a marketing class at the University of
- 1:03:22Speaker 13: Washington on the Seattle Mariners. How they get away with
- 1:03:28Speaker 13: putting a terrible product on the field but still able
- 1:03:33Speaker 13: to fill seats. I don't attend games anymore because of
- 1:03:38Speaker 13: the fan base that I sit next to. They're more
- 1:03:40Speaker 13: interested in a fish running around the track or a
- 1:03:44Speaker 13: stupid ferry boat full of crappy French Fries. No, thank you,
- 1:03:48Speaker 13: this team sucks.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: I will say.
- 1:03:50Speaker 14: The Jimythee thing extremely irritating for someone like me, so
- 1:03:55Speaker 14: totally understand what you're saying, Greg, but it's kind of like,
- 1:04:00Speaker 14: it is what it is, and if it puts thirty
- 1:04:04Speaker 14: five butts in the seats, it also probably will make
- 1:04:11Speaker 14: the team play better because.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: The yard is full.
- 1:04:14Speaker 14: So bring on, Jimothy Knight sixteen.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: I get that, and it's true. The bottom line is
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: putting butts in seats, and that's a business. It's not
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: a charity. I get it for sure. And there's truth
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: to a better environment might help the team if the
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: place is packed, however they pack them in and whatever
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: the reason is, yes, and so that's a good point.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: That's a good nuanced point of this. I still stand
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: by them. Don't don't give me, Jimothy, give me the
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: playoffs in the World Series, but I understand. And there's
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: also in the text line the thought of they got
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: to get some fan in enjoyment and interaction out of
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: this whole season, and if this is what gets fans
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: fired up and adjustments points happy, Okay, oh yeah, but
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: I'm just a baseball guy looking at from a baseball
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: fans perspective.
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: Like enough, exactly, And there's the family environment too. I
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: think the Mariners have done a really good job large trading. Yeah,
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: so it's a fun experience. Obviously we all want them
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: to win. We want that experience. But if it's a
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: family night like we had mentioned fireworks earlier, I just
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: I have a special heart, like a place in my
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: heart for baseball.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: Because my dad is football coach.
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: He would only have like a month of like in
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: between June and July off completely outside of recruiting and
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: doing everything else that he was doing. And that was
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: the game that we watched. So it was a family
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: sport for me. And obviously we want them to win.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: And I've learned a lot more about baseball since the
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: eighty six ments, which I don't remember. But yeah, I
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: get I guess I get both sides.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: I'm the worst.
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: I have my opinions always teeter on the opinions of
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: other people because I get it. We do have some
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: creativity coming in.
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: Watching the Manners this season remind me of the old
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: classic song.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Why do you build me up, Bud Cup? Just to
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: let me down?
- 1:06:14Speaker 12: And worst of.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: All, you love a win when you say you will. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: That sums up the whole season thus far.
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: Ps Hey there, greg and Jessman Chris E.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: Brien.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Gregor's spot on Last Night was a complete reminder that
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: this Mariners franchise.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: Believes more in a complete support of an a Forum
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Raccoon then going.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: For winning the division. I suggest the Mariner's circus of
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: twenty twenty six. This temeter, watch your problem, Greg Brown,
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: aren't carrying.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Walk with the stride large, aren't got no bark?
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: I want what the wrong want's going on?
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:07:10Speaker 12: This garbage?
- 1:07:10Speaker 10: Theirs pretty good?
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Sugar not earth.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: I want funky apple. We're Briton. Thank you Jimmothy for
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: checking in.
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: He talked, but that is what I would picture him
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: sounding like. Though that was pretty good. I think it
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: it met.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: I get it's supposed to be fun. I do get that,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: but I just frustration.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Well we should also look into this.
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: By the way, for those who are really not liking
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: the Mariners, if you want to go to the game
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: in just an hour and a half, I have a
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: special surprise.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Today's game ticket you want to go, listen up.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: One ten first pitch. Uh. You are basically just text
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: in Jimothy your first and last name in your email
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: and you have to be able to go, and you
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: can't resell the tickets.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: But I do have a pair that was gifted just now.
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: First last name, and the word Jimothy spelled correctly into
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: four nine four or five to one. And I've got
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: a pair of tickets for you if you just have
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: the afternoon off. Maybe there's teachers out there who are
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: hanging out with their summer days and want to get
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: out of the house and enjoy a day game and
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: get home early in time for dinner. Two tickets they're
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: up for grabs. Jimithy first last name, and email address.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Not Jimothy's first and last name. I think he only
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: has one.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: No, your first and last name. He is just He's Madonna.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: He is Beyonce.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, please if you can go. Don't be one
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: of those SMOs who wants to do this and then
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: tries to sell his tickets because he's not trying to go. No,
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: we're trying to give this to someone who actually wants
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: to attend the game. It starts at one to ten
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: pm today. It might be worth seeing in person because
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: fram Er Valdez is starting a night after the bench
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: is cleared with two beanballs, and there is already a
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: history of Framber Valles this team and with the league.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Remember they Valdez didn't like what Josh David was up
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: to in Detroit earlier this season. There could be some
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: fireworks at the yard today and not in the day,
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: but I had nothing to do with nighttime fires in
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: the sky. If Framber Valdez pitching one ten pm against
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Bryce Miller, if you want to go text four nine
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: four five one coming out to text line spelling Jimothy's
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: name correctly, I shudder that that's the contest. But I
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: understand I did it.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: To Irk you.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Thanks, thanks for Irk, Yeah, you're welcome.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: I was putting a b in your.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Bonnet also on the text line. Besides that, Marcus is
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: a friend of ours. Two six, So bet the Rams
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: because the Niners will be favored. Then in Australia, I'm
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: assuming well, sounds like far Hunt saying no, the Niners
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: are just a wreck. If you'd missed Niners Rams camp
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: that far Hunt has been to Farhan said. Everyone's talking
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: about a big three in the division. I only see
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: big two, he said, twenty forty nine ers plus their
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: head coach, wasn't it warn or not? At practice the
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: other day in Santa Clara two six. Jimothy is alive
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: and that's the important thing. However, I agree enough Mariners.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: So try this excuse. What would be your favorite Mariners
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: World Series matchup? Myself? Cubs Wrigley October. Come on, have
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: the debate of which one hundred and sixteen win team
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: was better.
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: Oh, that's a whole thing, because those guys are all
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: coming back this week.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: There are that would be a timely debate. Or Giant
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: San Francisco, which stadium is better? T Mobile Park or
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: whatever they called you used to be packed Bell Park?
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Go Army beat Navy? Has some reason I read this text,
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: go Army beating Navy. Stephen janc Ol, Thank you Steven. Jimmisy.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: The two six Jimothy is the result of our complicit
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: fan base. The same reason we have Jimothy is the
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: same reason Dan is somehow still the manager. The owners
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: are more interested in the gate than championships.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: I mean they have to be interested in both, they
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: really do.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Two five, three. The ownership cares only about making money,
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: not winning a title. Three six. Oh, I think the
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Mariners do gimmicks with some of the best in baseball.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Yearly they put a five hundred baseball team on the
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: field and get butts in the seats anyway with giveaways. Oh,
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I would just reset.
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I mean we're getting a lot of texts
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: right now, so that will you can hit the little
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: pause button. But I also think that there's the excitement
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: that we saw last year that fed over into butts
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: and seats for this season. There was a lot of
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: success on the field last year. It's that they do
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: a very very good job in marketing and business and
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: they make it fun, like we were talking about for
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: families and you know, people who want bobble heads, that
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: is a fun thing. For incidence, my cousin came up
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: from Austin, Texas a month ago, month and a half ago,
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: and her husband was insanely obsessed with getting there on
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: time to get the Funko cal Rawley.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: They're from Texas and it's.
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: Just fun for people, and so they came two and
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: a half hours early did the game to make sure
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: that they got because there was only ten thousand of
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: them that got given out.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: And I get it. And here's another thing. In Seattle
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: in the summer, there are a ton of tourists, a
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: lot of them on overnights that are going to Alaska
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: on cruises and they need something to do for a
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: summer night and they go to the yard. It's seventy
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: five degrees in a beautiful setting. And I get all
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: of that, but that should not take the place of
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: the fact that this is a baseball team that has
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: never been to the World Series and is eight outs
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: away from the World Series and it's maddening. The most
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: frustrating season in history.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: I'm with you, man, I hear you.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: This is why I suck at this because I hear
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: both sides way too much.
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: I should never be a judge.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: But as a business model, where is the motivation for
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: the Mariners ownership to invest more in the team when
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: they're putting forty one thousand in with Jimothy Knight. If
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: they're putting forty one thousand in for jimdy Night and
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: forty two thousand for hot Dogs from Heaven and bobbleheads
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: and fireworks, what is the business motiv is a business enterprise?
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: What is the business motivation when they're in the top ten,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: top fifteen in revenue in the Major League Baseball but
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: in the middle of the pack in spending on their
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: player payroll? What is the motivation for increasing the payroll?
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: There's none, and that's where they are right now.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: They're not in this because they're still making money as
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: a business enterprise.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: They're succeeding. They're keeping their costs relatively low in player
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: payroll while they're making revenue, and they're drawing thirty seven
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: thousand a night, So the motivation is lower for them
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: to get to the step that all the baseball fans
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: want them to do, which is get to the freaking
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: World Series. That's the rub here. As a business enterprise,
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: you can are and they've got It's not John Stanton,
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: if there's twenty plus investors that they have to answer
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: to and they're all happy. As a business enterprise, they
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: loved that forty two thousand Jimithy fans are in the
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: stands up night. They honestly from a business standpoint. Honestly,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: from a business standpoint, Jesamen, it didn't matter whether the
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: Marriors won or lost last night. They'd already won at
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: the gate and the twenty dollars beers and the fifteen
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: dollars hot dogs and the fifty dollars parking spots. They won.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: And that's the problem that those of us that want
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: them to see a baseball team finally make the World
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Series with a roster and a pitching staff that should
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: already be there are beside themselves of this season. How
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: this team could be four games under five hundred against
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: this absolutely future division, yet they're still drawing forty one
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: thousand on a Wednesday night in August. Because as as
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: that's the whole problem, they're not motivated to make the
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: team a World Series team in quality and spending on
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: contracts and making them moves because there is a business
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: enterprise they're succeeding. That's my pulpit, that's my soapbar.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: I think it's a good pulpit, man, I hear you.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: I think jimmythy Keith says two fight three. I think
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Jimmothy is a perfect Marri Aroner correlation. This team is
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: short on spine and tiptoes around, happy with collecting garbage.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: Oh boy, that was a really good analogy there.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Anyway, I mean, this is just the Timothy thing is
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: a tipping point. It's to me emblematic of the bigger
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: issue here that they're succeeding as a business and failing
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: as a baseball enterprise. And what should their accent be
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: more on is to me, the baseball But as businessmen,
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: they're winning as baseball team. They're losing and Finas is
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: up next. Maybe I'll ask him about Jimothy on ninety
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: three point three kJ RFM. So McIntyre, now it's Ian Fanas,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: welcome back. We have a winner on our Mariner ticket
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: giveaway for this Afternoons one ten game in the series
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: finale against the Tigers.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: Christian Bonds. Congratulations and thank you for.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Barrie's brother, James's brother, James Bond and Bond.
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, he definitely likes it shaking shaking reference. Yes,
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: So congratulations and thank you for listening. And I hope
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: that you and whoever you take have a wonderful time
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: out there in the sunshine today.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: You won't see Jimothy, Sorry, sorry, Christian. You won't see
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: Dan Wilson either. He's been suspended as i'd rather see.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: We're gonna get Jimmy in this second, sir. It's my
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: new favorite topic. Dan Wilson's been suspended my Major League Baseball,
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: as has Gabe Spire for quote intentionally throwing at Tiger's
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: gliber Torres last night, and as Ian for and has
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: pointed out to be as obvious that cal Rawley called
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: for that. Good for him, but now it's a game
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: suspension that Wilson will serve today. Gabe Spier is going
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: to appeal the suspension of Major League Baseball, so he
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: actually will be available today. But as we know, can't
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: pitch two in a row and the Mariners bullpen without
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: a written note from I don't know who, special dispensation,
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: so gave Spier is not going to play, all right.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: I went on and on to the break of dawn
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: about Jimothy. When I saw that last night, I about
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it. I'm just like, can we just
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: please get a World Series. I don't need anything else
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: but a World Series with this roster and this pitching stuff.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: That's because you're a sports fan. They're not marketing Jimothy
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: to the sports fan. It's you know, Andrews and I
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: had a brief conversation about this in the in the
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: sports pit a minute ago. The you know, the two
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: separate entities, the baseball operations and in the marketing business side.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: They operate obviously, as you know, we all know very
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: much separately.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: But.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: We kind of lump them all together. Their job is
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: the cell tickets, and boy they did last night for
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: a Wednesday night game, you know.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Two thousand in the middle of a week night in
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: August because it for to sub five hundred?
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Was it so you could get the gym? Is it
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a shirt? When they give away yesterday?
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: The shirts were a special ticket. I think those were
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: for a certain.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Ticket holders they gave away like it.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Was like an old car that they spent like they
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: spent twenty They spent a way too much time talking
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: about that on the broadcast on Tuesday.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: So they're going to do it again Friday night. I
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: just learned. That's weird because that's unbelievable. I get to
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: do this Monday.
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: You don't need to do that for a Friday night game.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: A Wednesday night, I could see.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Well, what's weird about that is that it's they don't
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't think that they would need to. It's the
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: weekend of.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Right, they're doing the home run.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Why would they need it? Why would they need on Friday?
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: So it'll be it'll be forty seven thousand.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: But I'll just say I don't begrudge them for that stuff.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: I just and they they're great. Their mariders are great.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: I mean, Kevin and those guys are great. It's like
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: capturing the moment, you know, seizing that moment, and here's
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. And you know, selling out a
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: game on a Wednesday because they're giving away cards for
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: a deformed raccoon, which do we even know if Jimothy
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: is still alive?
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: I believe so.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: But everyone here and you know, Nature Nerd and me,
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: they are respectful. People out here are respectful and everyone
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: all of the nature conservancies have come out and said,
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: just respect Jimothy from a distance because.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Listen, man, I drive I drive by ten dead raccoons
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: a week on Highway one sixty nine. Okay, respect it.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: It's a large it's a large rat with a with
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: a with a couple of black.
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: Spots, pandas, oh god whatever.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: Anyway, will this still be a thing in September when
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: they're still trying to win the division? Well, will this
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: go away? Because our short attention span online. I pray
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: that it just goes away and there's like another ice
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: Bucket Challenge or something that can take the place, and
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: then we don't have to do this in September when.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: The hates Greg hates promotions.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: No, I don't. I hate not no World series in
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: fifty years. I hate having a rotation that they should
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: win it. Can't you have their four games under five
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: hundred against the future? Can both? Can you have? Apparently not?
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: We can have Jimithy, but we can't have a five
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: hundred record in a horrible division.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Jimothy. Jimothy was a winner last night. Greg Jimothy led
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: him to a victory.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: This is so much to ask that the team that
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: says a World Series calimber pitching staff win the World Series,
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: or at least get to the World Series, or at
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: least get to the plasts, or at least win a
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: division with above five hundred record? Is that too much that?
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: I don't know?
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: But I'm I'm here for your bitterness about it. I'm
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: here all day for it. I time, I am here
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: for it all day and every day. Keep bringing it on,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: all right?
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: The friends music means i'mupposed ask you what you have going.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: We're gonna you know serious twelve twenty Today, we'll also

- 1:21:12Speaker 2: I don't want it anymore. Thanks for the three thousand
