- 2:59Speaker 3: your name? Is your buzzer? I would say that. I
- 3:01Speaker 3: would say the answer is fast you can because producer
- 3:03Speaker 3: Blake cheats.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I don't cheat.
- 3:05Speaker 3: And we'll go now. Question number one, what two colors

- 3:43Speaker 3: pig didn't Saturday, it doesn't matter. Congratulations Growing you're going
- 3:56Speaker 3: to kid Cuddie. Why thank you?
- 4:00Speaker 5: Such said, I'm thinking out best room.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the
- 4:05Speaker 1: elevem Show.
- 4:06Speaker 3: There's any music venue now open in Birmingham at lake
- 4:09Speaker 3: View Marina called lake View Marina Music Park, so they

- 4:23Speaker 3: if you're hanging out in lakefew check out lake View
- 4:26Speaker 3: Marina Music Park. American Idol announced a Taylor Swift Night
- 4:30Speaker 3: for Monday, where the top seven contestants will perform Taylor's
- 4:34Speaker 3: biggest hits. The episode's also going to have a guest judge,
- 4:37Speaker 3: Nicki Glasser, who is a longtime Swifty. You can watch
- 4:41Speaker 3: the episode Monday at seven pm on ABC. Judge dismissed
- 4:47Speaker 3: Diddy's one hundred million dollar lawsuit against NBC.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Good Get It out of Here.
- 4:53Speaker 3: He sued NBC and Peacock over their twenty twenty five
- 4:56Speaker 3: documentary The Making of a Bad Boy. The judge in
- 4:58Speaker 3: New York said the documentary show day carefully curated and
- 5:02Speaker 3: nuanced approach rather than what Diddy's lawyer called it, grossly
- 5:07Speaker 3: irresponsible journalism. And the judge basically said, like, you can't
- 5:12Speaker 3: be seeing people because you lost these lawsuits, these criminal
- 5:16Speaker 3: cases too, so it's like it's factual.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So I don't know. This whole Diddy case is just
- 5:22Speaker 2: blowing my mind.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I know he's trying, but he lost. That's three things
- 5:27Speaker 3: you need to know more At the Alabama Show dot com.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 5:34Speaker 3: What's the wildest reason you took off work?
- 5:37Speaker 8: Called the show eight three three five one Bama is
- 5:40Speaker 8: the number because producer Blake is making fun of me.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I'll bet you, Alabama that yours might be the craziest.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Thanks for listening to the Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 5:50Speaker 3: producer Blake. Well, I'm taking tomorrow off because I need
- 5:53Speaker 3: a minute, I need a break, and I don't want
- 5:56Speaker 3: to use a vacation day, and so I asked the
- 5:58Speaker 3: boss and he said yes, and producer he goes, but
- 6:02Speaker 3: put it in our system and we have to put
- 6:04Speaker 3: the request in and then put the type of day
- 6:07Speaker 3: we're using. And there's not a burnout day. So producer
- 6:11Speaker 3: Blake was sitting here with me. When I put in
- 6:13Speaker 3: the day, I put in a bereavement day.
- 6:16Speaker 2: That's the only reasonable choice.
- 6:18Speaker 3: And then in the notes, I put because my cat died.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Which died? May I say over a week ago? I
- 6:26Speaker 2: don't care.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Grief hits in different ways, ma'am.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I miss for now.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It has all come to a head and I need
- 6:33Speaker 3: a minute. I don't want to waste a vacation day.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I burn out.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so let's waste a bereavement Well, the boss.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Declined it anyway. He was like, go put in a
- 6:43Speaker 3: vacation day. I was like, I'm not wasting a vacation
- 6:45Speaker 3: day on tomorrow. I'm not doing it. I will be
- 6:50Speaker 3: sick tomorrow. If you're listening to the show, I have
- 6:53Speaker 3: the flu.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Oh no, it's hitting.
- 6:57Speaker 4: But I can't believe you thought it was a good
- 7:00Speaker 4: idea to put bereavement.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Of all the options, I've never.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Taken a bereavement day, and I'm sad.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Those don't build up and carry over.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Literally, our coworker took a whole week off because his
- 7:11Speaker 3: dog died, and they were like, take a week off.
- 7:13Speaker 2: You're fine, Yeah, you're right, he got.
- 7:17Speaker 3: To breath his pet with Why how come he can
- 7:20Speaker 3: and I can't.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I don't think he put in bereavement times.
- 7:24Speaker 3: I don't think he used any time. I think they
- 7:26Speaker 3: just said, you're sad, take the week off and don't
- 7:28Speaker 3: even put it in this system.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Apparently this has turned into a conspiracy.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I am I am not happy about it. Well, look,
- 7:36Speaker 3: I don't you remember Christmas vacation last year? You used?
- 7:41Speaker 3: You put in a sick day three days before it
- 7:44Speaker 3: happened because you didn't want to come into work. You
- 7:45Speaker 3: wanted to use a vacation day, and you just sent
- 7:47Speaker 3: it to Dino and said I'm sick. No eighty gays okay, No.
- 7:51Speaker 2: To be fair, I started feeling it early. That's what
- 7:53Speaker 2: it was around.
- 7:56Speaker 3: No you call you literally we were on the phone
- 7:58Speaker 3: and you were fine, call the show. What's the dumbest
- 8:01Speaker 3: reason you've ever used to get.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Out of work?
- 8:03Speaker 3: And did it work? Help me figure out what to
- 8:05Speaker 3: put in our system so I don't have to use
- 8:07Speaker 3: vacation day eight three three five I one Bama is
- 8:10Speaker 3: the number? That's eight three three five oh one two
- 8:13Speaker 3: two six two.

- 8:29Speaker 5: I just don't see myself stay in here all day?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Did you actually say that to your boss?
- 8:35Speaker 7: I've said it a handful of times.
- 8:37Speaker 3: And how did they react.
- 8:40Speaker 7: I normally get a good laugh after I explain that
- 8:42Speaker 7: I don't see myself stay until.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Five, but then you're there till Yeah, exactly.
- 8:48Speaker 5: I love that.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Brittany, thank you for calling. You're welcome.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
- 8:54Speaker 1: is on demand.
- 8:56Speaker 3: What's the dumbest reason you've ever used to get off work?
- 8:58Speaker 3: And did it work? Because I requested a bereavement absence.
- 9:03Speaker 3: We're going to call our boss's boss to see if
- 9:06Speaker 3: I can get away with it. Ronnie, good morning. Hello,
- 9:09Speaker 3: Producer Blake wants to tell you why I just requested
- 9:12Speaker 3: off on Friday. Okay, he said he thinks that you
- 9:15Speaker 3: will approve this.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Well, I don't approve your time off.
- 9:18Speaker 3: But she she.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Put in bereavement leave for her cat that died over
- 9:25Speaker 4: a week ago.
- 9:27Speaker 6: One of the other fifty two animals.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I didn't want to waste a vacation day. I didn't
- 9:33Speaker 3: take off the day my cat died. Spencer took a
- 9:36Speaker 3: week off two weeks ago when his dog died. I
- 9:38Speaker 3: want a breavement day.
- 9:40Speaker 6: Okay, So how do you know how? Maybe Spencer used
- 9:43Speaker 6: vacation days.
- 9:44Speaker 3: No, they just told him to not come in. I
- 9:46Speaker 3: don't think he used any days.
- 9:48Speaker 6: How do you know that?
- 9:49Speaker 3: Because I know I know Ronnie, no things. No, I
- 9:55Speaker 3: want a bereavement day.
- 9:57Speaker 6: My dad died three weeks ago and I still haven't
- 9:59Speaker 6: taken it.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Well you should. You can take a bereavement day with me.
- 10:04Speaker 3: We'll go fishing.
- 10:06Speaker 6: That sounds so exciting.
- 10:08Speaker 2: You don't get it. It's the cats.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Had that cat for ten years.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Well, I mean it was times. I feel like I've
- 10:18Speaker 6: been listening to y'all for ten years.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Don't want to stay on yet. Do not, but don't

- 10:29Speaker 3: Many appreciates he can't sold it, he cantceled it or

- 10:36Speaker 3: administrator he didn't accept it.
- 10:39Speaker 6: Did you put in there for agreement for my cat?
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yes, he told me you could take for day off.
- 10:45Speaker 6: But do you know how stupid he would look if
- 10:47Speaker 6: corporate looked at that.
- 10:48Speaker 7: And go, hey, we've got a manager that approved a
- 10:50Speaker 7: bereavement day for somebody taking off.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Of their cat two weeks ago.
- 10:54Speaker 7: By the way, by the time it gets here, and

- 14:14Speaker 2: I wouldn't say graduate. It's the right word.
- 14:17Speaker 3: By the way, thank you for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I'm Alabama with producer Blake. Well, you're what happened in therapy? Uh?
- 14:24Speaker 4: My therapist that has put me on a every other

- 14:28Speaker 3: Because she said, you're moving on it.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'm doing making strides. Yes, I'm doing better.
- 14:33Speaker 4: And she said, you don't necessarily need it, but if
- 14:35Speaker 4: you think you do, we can go back to it.
- 14:37Speaker 2: But right now, I think you're in a spot where
- 14:39Speaker 2: you go every other week.
- 14:40Speaker 3: What if y'all been working on.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Just you know, I don't know how to answer that.
- 14:47Speaker 2: That's tough. That's a tough question.
- 14:49Speaker 3: He gave you books. You a book walking on eggshells,
- 14:52Speaker 3: So what is the thing you gotta set boundaries with people?
- 14:56Speaker 4: Learning how to deal with my own emotions? That I've
- 14:59Speaker 4: never actually done. And I'll tell you what that is.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Test your emotions. Oh gosh, throw some stuff at you.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Well, I'm good, it's been a lot and it's new
- 15:13Speaker 4: to me.
- 15:13Speaker 3: What is your book? Walking on eggshells? Like? Just say, like,
- 15:18Speaker 3: what's the biggest thing that you What did you say
- 15:20Speaker 3: to your therapist where she said I'm proud of you.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Let's go every other week instead of every week.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Because I've been processing on how to describe my emotions
- 15:30Speaker 4: instead of just saying what caused my emotions?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Okay, how did yesterday make you feel? On the show
- 15:35Speaker 3: where when I blindfolded you and sprayed you with water?
- 15:39Speaker 4: You cause halfy issues that caused me to know But
- 15:43Speaker 4: it's no, it's I mean, that was just another day
- 15:47Speaker 4: at the office. I've just got a lot of stuff.

- 15:52Speaker 2: You're not telling me the truth.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Tell me, explain the emotions that you felt, yes Explain
- 15:57Speaker 3: the emotions that you felt on this show when I made.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You do a man a Graham, I was so angry.
- 16:02Speaker 2: I was so angry.
- 16:03Speaker 4: And I'm trying not to go into a rage, but gush,
- 16:06Speaker 4: you make me want to range. Sometimes you make me
- 16:09Speaker 4: so angry. Some days and sometimes I'm like is it
- 16:13Speaker 4: worth it? And I go, yeah, it's worth it.
- 16:15Speaker 2: But sometimes oh, we put you put some pressure on me,
- 16:19Speaker 2: make me angry some.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Days, tell me more about how that makes you feel well.
