  Unshaken in the storm. Storms have a way of showing up
• 0:14
  without warning. One phone call, one
• 0:17
  conversation, one moment, and suddenly everything feels
• 0:21
  unstable. Your emotions are shaken, your
• 0:24
  plans feel fragile, and you wonder how you're supposed to
• 0:27
  keep going when the ground under you doesn't feel solid anymore.
• 0:31
  But storms don't get the final word.
• 0:34
  Proverbs chapter 10, verse 25 reminds us of something
• 0:37
  powerful. It says that when The Tempest
• 0:39
  passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are
• 0:43
  established forever. That means storms reveal
• 0:46
  foundations. When everything is shaking, what
• 0:49
  you've built your life on becomes clear.
• 0:51
  Temporary things collapse, but a life rooted in God stands firm.
• 0:56
  We see this truth lived out in Acts chapter 16.
• 0:59
  Hall and Selas are beaten, chained, and thrown into prison
• 1:03
  for doing what was right. Their situation looks hopeless.
• 1:07
  They're hurting, confined, and completely outnumbered by
• 1:10
  circumstances. Yet instead of panicking or
• 1:13
  giving up, they pray and sing to God.
• 1:15
  And then the storm hits. An earthquake shakes the prison.
• 1:19
  Doors fly open, chains fall off. But the miracle doesn't stop
• 1:23
  there. The jailer, terrified and
• 1:25
  broken, asks the most important question of his life.
• 1:29
  What must I do to be saved? And Paul and Selas respond with
• 1:33
  simple life changing truth in Acts chapter 16, verse 31.
• 1:38
  Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your
• 1:41
  household. In the middle of chaos, faith
• 1:44
  becomes a doorway to salvation. The storm that could have
• 1:48
  destroyed them became the moment God used to rescue an entire
• 1:51
  family. That's such an important
• 1:53
  reminder for us. God doesn't always stop storms
• 1:57
  from coming, but He does promise to keep you standing when they
• 2:00
  pass. Your faith in the middle of
• 2:02
  pressure matters more than you realize.
• 2:06
  The way you trust God when things are hard can become a
• 2:08
  testimony to someone else who is watching, struggling, or
• 2:11
  searching for hope. Maybe you're in a storm right
• 2:14
  now. Maybe it feels loud, confusing,
• 2:17
  and overwhelming. Hold on to this truth.
• 2:20
  The storm is not permanent. God is.
• 2:23
  And when the shaking stops, those who trust Him are still
• 2:26
  standing, stronger and more grounded than before.
• 2:30
  Your faith today may be the very thing God uses to bring light,
• 2:33
  peace, and salvation to someone else tomorrow.
• 2:36
  Stay rooted. Stay trusting.
• 2:39
  You are not alone in the storm, and you will not be undone by
• 2:42
  it. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you that no storm I face is greater than
• 2:47
  You. When life feels unstable and
• 2:50
  overwhelming, help me to trust You and stay rooted in Your
• 2:53
  truth. Give me strength to stand
• 2:55
  unshaken even when circumstances are hard.
• 2:59
  Use my faith, even in difficult moments, to point others to the
• 3:02
  hope found in Jesus. I choose to believe You are at
• 3:05
  work, even in the storm. In Jesus name, Amen.

  God, heard us. The Lord opened her heart to

  listen to the things which were spoken by Paul.

  When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying,
• 6:33
  If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into
• 6:36
  my house and stay. So she persuaded us.
• 6:39
  As we were going to prayer, a certain girl having a spirit of
• 6:42
  divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune
• 6:46
  telling. Following Paul in US, she cried
• 6:49
  out, These men are servants of the Most High God, who
• 6:52
  proclaimed to us a way of salvation.
• 6:54
  She was doing this for many days, but Paul becoming greatly
• 6:58
  annoyed, turned and said to the Spirit, I command you in the
• 7:01
  name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.
• 7:04
  It came out that very hour. But when her masters saw that
• 7:07
  the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Selas and
• 7:10
  dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.
• 7:13
  When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said,
• 7:16
  These men, being Jews, are agitating our city, and advocate
• 7:19
  customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe.
• 7:23
  Being Romans. The multitude rose up together
• 7:26
  against them, and the magistrates tore their clothes
• 7:28
  from them, then commanded them to be beaten with rods.
• 7:32
  When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into
• 7:34
  prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely.
• 7:37
  Having received such a command, he threw them into the inner
• 7:41
  prison and secured their feet in the stocks.
• 7:44
  But about midnight Paul and Selas were praying and singing
• 7:47
  hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
• 7:50
  Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the
• 7:52
  foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the
• 7:56
  doors were opened and everyone's bonds were loosened.
• 7:59
  The jailer, being roused out of sleep and seeing the prison
• 8:02
  doors open, drew his sword and was about to kill himself,
• 8:06
  supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
• 8:08
  But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Don't harm
• 8:11
  yourself, for we are all here. He called for light, sprang in,
• 8:14
  fell down trembling before Paul and Selas brought them out and
• 8:17
  said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
• 8:19
  They said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be
• 8:22
  saved, you and your household. They spoke the word of the Lord
• 8:26
  to him and to all who were in his house.
• 8:28
  He took them the same hour of the night and washed their
• 8:30
  stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his
• 8:34
  household. He brought them up into his
• 8:36
  house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly with all
• 8:39
  his household, having believed in God.
• 8:42
  But when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants
• 8:45
  saying, Let those men go. The jailer reported these words
• 8:49
  to Paul, saying, The magistrates have sent to let you go now,
• 8:52
  therefore come out and go in peace.
• 8:55
  But Paul said to them, They have beaten us publicly without a
• 8:58
  trial. Men who are Romans and have cast
• 9:00
  us into prison, do they now release us secretly?
• 9:04
  No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us
• 9:07
  out. The sergeants reported these
• 9:09
  words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard
• 9:12
  that they were Romans, and they came and begged them.
• 9:15
  When they had brought them out, they asked them to depart from
• 9:18
  the city. They went out of the prison and
• 9:20
  entered into Lydia's house. When they had seen the brothers,
• 9:23
  they encouraged them, then departed.
• 9:27
