- 0:58Speaker 5: under the Radar, under the radar, under the weather today,
- 1:04Speaker 5: actually this whole week he has been Austin and I
- 1:07Speaker 5: if you're watching on a video.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Blackout Baby, Blackout Baby, We're in the dark.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Halloween week, Spookie, I'm pumped.
- 1:20Speaker 5: This is this is I will say, this is one
- 1:23Speaker 5: of the most excited I've been just for a game
- 1:29Speaker 5: experience overall this Saturday. It's I think they're gonna have
- 1:35Speaker 5: some really neat cool things. I mean, and it's it's
- 1:38Speaker 5: the whole week.
- 1:39Speaker 4: They've made very very clear.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Every blackout, every a very clear blackout, and the coaches
- 1:50Speaker 2: and the press conference is like, hey, we want our fans,
- 1:52Speaker 2: we want you guys need to be rowdy. We're not
- 1:54Speaker 2: looking for you know, We're not looking for like Louder
- 1:59Speaker 2: I want to thank you. Guys need to be a
- 2:00Speaker 2: little unhinged.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Yes, it's the most for sure that we've advertised. I
- 2:10Speaker 5: guess something like this. I think we've tried blackouts before
- 2:15Speaker 5: and we've kind of talked about how we were. Does
- 2:17Speaker 5: we just suck it?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Nebraska fans are terrible at color coordinated events because they're
- 2:23Speaker 2: just like, I'm just wearing my freaking red and I'm
- 2:26Speaker 2: just gonna go. I'm not thinking about it. Will there
- 2:30Speaker 2: be people.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Out there that intentionally try to defy the blackout and
- 2:37Speaker 5: where they're red.
- 2:39Speaker 2: USC fans will defy it? Do I think they're gonna
- 2:43Speaker 2: be people who would intentionally do it. No, I think
- 2:45Speaker 2: they're gonna be people that well, I guess there will
- 2:49Speaker 2: definitely people out there that be like, because it's cold,
- 2:51Speaker 2: it's gonna be cold. They're gonna be like, I'm just
- 2:53Speaker 2: gonna wear my red coat like it's cool they have
- 2:57Speaker 2: a red coat?
- 2:57Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, don't have which I think he probably most
- 3:03Speaker 5: coaches are probably darker colored. Yeah, helps, but like you
- 3:07Speaker 5: just tend to see, you know, your Iowa games, there's
- 3:12Speaker 5: just more black naturally because of that. Uh, yeah, it's
- 3:17Speaker 5: that we're definitely going all out for which I love.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I think, do you think they're trying to go big
- 3:21Speaker 2: this year because they want this to be an annual
- 3:23Speaker 2: thing they're looking for I think so something.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's part of it. I mean I do.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I think I think it's there's people that are the traditionalists,
- 3:34Speaker 5: think it's kind of stupid they want to do the
- 3:37Speaker 5: you know, the classic Nebraska USC uniform because they're too
- 3:42Speaker 5: notable all of that.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Like, I don't, I don't know. I I think this
- 3:51Speaker 4: is gonna be neat. I think it's gonna be really cool.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I think they're gonna do a good.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Job of making it cool at the game too, as
- 3:58Speaker 5: far as a different thing as you can you can
- 4:00Speaker 5: do with it. And then I mean that's the big storyline.
- 4:05Speaker 5: I think that also is a message that wants to
- 4:10Speaker 5: be sent into USC coming as well. I think they
- 4:13Speaker 5: want them to. As far as the gameplay goes, I
- 4:17Speaker 5: mean that's what ultimate matters, right, All.
- 4:19Speaker 4: This stuff is needed. But if you come.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Out, if we lose the game, it's like no one
- 4:23Speaker 2: next year where they're like, let's do a black is
- 4:25Speaker 2: like why we got some freaking hype for last year?
- 4:28Speaker 2: We just related a freaking egg and it.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Wouldn't be good. But I will also say this, you
- 4:36Speaker 5: can you you can't. You couldn't really do this for
- 4:40Speaker 5: like a three and four rasket team. It just doesn't
- 4:43Speaker 5: have the same feel that you're trying to do it.
- 4:47Speaker 5: The reason why this is so anticipated this Saturday is
- 4:52Speaker 5: because we're six and two, they're six and two.
- 4:54Speaker 2: We have some momentum.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Both teams are I'll say it, we're not out, but
- 5:00Speaker 5: we're still in the playoff. Like, but the team that
- 5:02Speaker 5: loses this game is for sure out. You know, I'm
- 5:07Speaker 5: not saying that we're in if we if we went out,
- 5:10Speaker 5: and I don't think we're gonna win out, but even
- 5:12Speaker 5: if we went out, I don't think we're in. But
- 5:15Speaker 5: you you look at those graphics of teams that have
- 5:17Speaker 5: you know, are eliminated. We're not crossed off yet, but
- 5:21Speaker 5: we're like a like a point seven chance like, but
- 5:25Speaker 5: we're not crossed off. This one is going to cross
- 5:27Speaker 5: off the loser both ways. USC is also not out yet.
- 5:30Speaker 5: I mean they go ten and two as well, they're
- 5:32Speaker 5: they're potentially in as well, So there are some implications there.
- 5:38Speaker 5: You want to throw that in. A USC is ranked
- 5:42Speaker 5: and we all know the lovely drought stag is not
- 5:46Speaker 5: is it twenty how many games in a row we
- 5:50Speaker 5: lost the ranked teams? Twenty eight, twenty seven.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It's been since that Oregon game and two of the sixteen, right.
- 5:59Speaker 4: It's a lot.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I don't know what the exact number is, so that
- 6:03Speaker 5: that also is coming in here. I mean the opportunities
- 6:06Speaker 5: set for us. It is right in front of us
- 6:08Speaker 5: to go take it. We're underdogs, which.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Finally I think that's I don't know. I this is.
- 6:22Speaker 2: The this is where it tests the bet on Nebraska
- 6:27Speaker 2: as favorites. You know, we do? You do? You double
- 6:30Speaker 2: down and you flip it and you bet as you
- 6:31Speaker 2: bet on Nebraska's underdogs or sorry, don't bet on Nebraska's favorites.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I mean home dogs of about a seven point Then
- 6:43Speaker 5: you can find the stat yep, the home dogs between
- 6:47Speaker 5: five and a half and seven and a half points.
- 6:50Speaker 5: I won the game outright one hundred and eight out
- 6:53Speaker 5: of two and eighty seven times since twenty twenty, so
- 6:57Speaker 5: that's about thirty eight percent.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Ship.
- 7:00Speaker 5: It's pretty damn good for giving your you know, a
- 7:04Speaker 5: touchdown dog, and.
- 7:07Speaker 4: I do I think you're that this is the spot that.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Things go right, we can win this game and it'd
- 7:16Speaker 5: be huge. We're not expected to win, but at the
- 7:20Speaker 5: same time, big picture wise, that we should be a
- 7:23Speaker 5: little to be expected to win. This is one that
- 7:25Speaker 5: I think going into the year, everybody just not chopped
- 7:29Speaker 5: it up as a win. But we can win that
- 7:31Speaker 5: game at home. Usc is Comfino coming over and.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Lincoln Riley hasn't quite established the level of dominance that
- 7:38Speaker 2: he had at Oklahoma.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Nope, gosh it yes, mentioned Dak sick.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Uh.
- 7:49Speaker 5: He's obviously a big Lincoln Riley fan and really supports
- 7:55Speaker 5: everything that he does.
- 7:56Speaker 2: So it really respects him as a coach and thinks
- 7:58Speaker 2: very highly. He probably would have praised them pretty Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 2: He he was going to come on the podcast, so
- 8:04Speaker 2: he texted me a couple of days ago on how
- 8:07Speaker 2: Lincoln Riley was such a better coach than that rule
- 8:11Speaker 2: and he had like a whole bunch of stats ready
- 8:13Speaker 2: to go on to show me up on how he
- 8:16Speaker 2: was going to just argue that Lincoln Riley is so
- 8:20Speaker 2: much better than that rule.
- 8:21Speaker 5: So we are going to get that for you today. Unfortunately,
- 8:26Speaker 5: I know it's kind of disappointing. So anyways, Blackout Anticipated
- 8:35Speaker 5: game talked about that top twenty five team. Need to
- 8:38Speaker 5: do that, you need to check that box. Any other
- 8:46Speaker 5: high level things or we can dive into.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I don't think so. Uh, you know, I will say
- 8:57Speaker 2: as far as like prior to talk about the actual game.
- 9:00Speaker 2: The outside noise for this week's game was definitely probably
- 9:03Speaker 2: the lowest it's been in a while. The Rule Penn
- 9:05Speaker 2: State stuff really cooled off after Minnesota and then you know,
- 9:09Speaker 2: everyone's talking about LSU. Now no one's really talking about
- 9:12Speaker 2: the Penn State job.
- 9:13Speaker 5: And I'm glad you brought that up because I kind
- 9:16Speaker 5: of forgot as I was going to bed last night,
- 9:19Speaker 5: and maybe you haven't seen it if you went to
- 9:20Speaker 5: bed early.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Rules probably getting a contract.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Oh yes, I did see that.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Today.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I was because I wanted to ask you about that. Actually,
- 9:33Speaker 2: you know, I know we have you know, a tighter
- 9:35Speaker 2: time today, but what's your opinion on giving a contract
- 9:38Speaker 2: extension to someone?
- 9:40Speaker 4: And yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's so dumb. They were like,
- 9:47Speaker 4: I'm not saying because I want Rule gone, It's just.
- 9:51Speaker 2: It sucks that you see all these big buyouts. I mean,
- 9:55Speaker 2: you know ls is paying fifty four million to Bran
- 9:58Speaker 2: Kelly and James Franklin's getting forty nine million. That's just
- 10:04Speaker 2: we're extending because we don't want to lose him and
- 10:06Speaker 2: have to hire someone else.
- 10:10Speaker 5: And someone did make a great point I was listening to,
- 10:13Speaker 5: like the fact that Rule's in this conversation that we
- 10:15Speaker 5: have to do it. I guess is it's a positive
- 10:18Speaker 5: because it means that the program.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Is moving in the right direction.
- 10:22Speaker 5: And now we say he's in the conversation, Husker fans
- 10:26Speaker 5: are also making him part of the conversation. The Penn
- 10:28Speaker 5: State one is obviously very clear the other jobs that
- 10:32Speaker 5: have opened up.
- 10:33Speaker 2: And he's not got mentioned in any of the other jobs,
- 10:35Speaker 2: so that that that's also eye opening of like if
- 10:38Speaker 2: he didn't have the tie to the ad, but this
- 10:40Speaker 2: won't be a concern.
- 10:42Speaker 4: That's the other.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the other shitty Party're really paying the guy
- 10:44Speaker 5: because he has a friendship, Like, yes, that's really really Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I had the exact same thought because, like you know,
- 10:52Speaker 2: I read through the list of ten coaches to Phil
- 10:54Speaker 2: Lsu Matt Rule is not on the ways, you know,
- 10:58Speaker 2: and they're not.
- 11:01Speaker 5: That's that's the part that sucks, is we're paying a
- 11:03Speaker 5: coach because of a friendship and.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Hopefully he's the right coach. I think we both agree
- 11:09Speaker 2: that he's he's not wrong. You know, he's not the
- 11:13Speaker 2: wrong coach for us. We're not You're not out on him.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I think he's a good coach.
- 11:18Speaker 4: This season could have went in a way where.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Myself, but I think a lot of people could have
- 11:24Speaker 5: been out on him and still can't.
- 11:28Speaker 4: It's not not that that there if.
- 11:31Speaker 2: You give him the extension and also you lose to
- 11:32Speaker 2: USC and Iowa again.
- 11:36Speaker 5: That's that again, give him a this is this is
- 11:38Speaker 5: the worst case scenario extension and then lose out Oh god, yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 5: oh god, like what But but the timing of everything,
- 11:48Speaker 5: it probably is about like gosh, it's just a weird.
- 11:52Speaker 5: I mean, you talk about that roller coaster, Holy cow
- 11:54Speaker 5: it you probably you can't wait until it gets a
- 11:58Speaker 5: week before Penn State. You don't know where the content,
- 12:02Speaker 5: where the negotiations.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Are, because you want to get it. You want to
- 12:07Speaker 2: get it done before USC because also you be sc
- 12:10Speaker 2: It's like, well he beat a top twenty program, you know.
- 12:13Speaker 2: As far as keeping him from limam Penn State.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it just because I'm I get that. That's just
- 12:21Speaker 4: it's not Nebraska.
- 12:23Speaker 5: It's just it's the market of coaches, and like obviously
- 12:27Speaker 5: the national news with all of these coaches getting fired
- 12:29Speaker 5: in their buyouts, it's just it's just where we're at.
- 12:32Speaker 4: I also don't agree with that, but it's it's the market.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It's how it works. Because if we lose Matt Rule,
- 12:38Speaker 2: all of a sudden, we're in the same coaching market
- 12:40Speaker 2: as LSU. Probably you know, Auburn, Florida, Wisconsin may be
- 12:45Speaker 2: looking for a head coach. It's like, gosh, I don't
- 12:47Speaker 2: want to be in that cycle.
- 12:49Speaker 4: It's a great point.
- 12:50Speaker 5: That's a really good point this year with all of
- 12:54Speaker 5: these jobs opening up, and maybe this is going to
- 12:56Speaker 5: be a new thing with.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Every year a lot of jobs open.
- 12:58Speaker 5: But the jobs when we got Frost, right, we were
- 13:07Speaker 5: the job at the time, and Frost was the number
- 13:11Speaker 5: one guy, and we obviously had the ties. When Rule
- 13:14Speaker 5: was here or when we got Rule, we also were
- 13:18Speaker 5: one of the top jobs.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Wisconsin and Colorado were open, and I'm trying to remember
- 13:24Speaker 2: who else.
- 13:25Speaker 4: But that's about it. I mean, yeah, that was the debate.
- 13:28Speaker 4: It was fickle, it was dion like, it was like
- 13:32Speaker 4: those type of jobs.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I guess LSU is open at that point in time
- 13:36Speaker 2: the Notre Dame also opened, right because Brian Kelly left
- 13:40Speaker 2: Notre Dame to go to Elsie. But then they hired
- 13:42Speaker 2: internally pretty quick.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yes, that's a good point, so we quickly became the
- 13:47Speaker 4: job that cycle.
- 13:49Speaker 5: This one now there's a lot more and you're right,
- 13:54Speaker 5: we would be on that what you know what, maybe
- 13:57Speaker 5: that's not a bad thing. I don't know, like we
- 13:59Speaker 5: get the up and comer, don't gonna pay him a lot,
- 14:01Speaker 5: but you know, I I think that's part of probably
- 14:05Speaker 5: a big part of the conversation as well, when when
- 14:08Speaker 5: you're talking about contract extensions and all that and keeping
- 14:10Speaker 5: a rule here, you're you're you're probably doing analysis of Okay,
- 14:14Speaker 5: it's it's Matt Ruhle, or it's I don't know, the
- 14:18Speaker 5: seventh guy on the list of coaches out there now because.
- 14:22Speaker 2: You're not excited about Land's Lappold anymore.
- 14:25Speaker 4: No, So anyways, Yeah, that that's talking about outside duds.
- 14:30Speaker 5: That that's probably gonna be here today and take a
- 14:32Speaker 5: little bit away from this game anticipation. But I get
- 14:37Speaker 5: you said, this week has been from Monday. You know,
- 14:41Speaker 5: even a lot of the press conferences has not been
- 14:45Speaker 5: about the past. It's been about this week and and
- 14:48Speaker 5: the anticipation and everything for this game.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Gosh, if we got there in Land Egg this week, I.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Don't think we'll get killed. I don't. I don't think
- 14:57Speaker 4: we can. I I shouldn't say the crowd.
- 15:02Speaker 2: If if the crowd shows up like we want them to,
- 15:05Speaker 2: you know, there there is that chance that we get
- 15:07Speaker 2: stuck with them, buddy duddy old crowd.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Gosh. I hope not either.
- 15:12Speaker 5: I that that'll be the worst when there's just like,
- 15:15Speaker 5: you know, a thousand just people in Nebraska read because
- 15:17Speaker 5: they're just.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Like, eh, blackout as sucks. That is it is a
- 15:22Speaker 4: little bit.
- 15:23Speaker 5: I think.
- 15:25Speaker 4: I do think they're gonna do a pretty good job.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Like it'll just take the middle, the middle third of
- 15:31Speaker 4: fans and elevate them.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm hoping. So I agree.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Let's move on here to just matchups and the game itself.
- 15:45Speaker 5: You know, USC you know anything about them, they're in
- 15:51Speaker 5: Lincoln Riley himself at Daquadeco. His offenses are just they're
- 15:57Speaker 5: pretty close to elites as you're gonna get in college football.
- 16:02Speaker 5: I've heard US season number one offense in the country
- 16:05Speaker 5: based on some stat I'm not sure which one that is.
- 16:08Speaker 5: But their offense is good. I think that that's something.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Coming into last year's game, they were solid. I mean
- 16:14Speaker 5: they were It's obviously always one of Lincoln Riley's strengths
- 16:18Speaker 5: as teams. But Jade Mayeva their quarterback. It was his
- 16:21Speaker 5: first start when we played him out in Pasadena last
- 16:25Speaker 5: year and you know, I think we picked him off
- 16:29Speaker 5: a couple of times.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Like, he's a very different quarterback this year. He's second
- 16:33Speaker 4: in the.
- 16:33Speaker 5: Big Ten and passing behind Calikmanus from Rutgers. He has
- 16:39Speaker 5: very talented skilled players around him, including mkayle Lemon, and
- 16:48Speaker 5: he makes sure the ball gets to all of them
- 16:51Speaker 5: and he does a really good job in that. And
- 16:53Speaker 5: he also has a little bit of threat of mobility.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Like some of these other quarterbacks that we played. He's
- 16:58Speaker 5: not so much run for He's definitely not run first,
- 17:01Speaker 5: but he has the ability to run. So this offense,
- 17:06Speaker 5: for sure, coming into the game is going to be
- 17:08Speaker 5: the thing. Can we contain it and not let.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Them go go score in the thirties.
- 17:24Speaker 2: This is gonna be the game that we test that
- 17:28Speaker 2: you know, our ballet hoods secondary. This is definitely the
- 17:30Speaker 2: best passing attack and are the last couple of games
- 17:37Speaker 2: we have not we been decent against the past, but
- 17:41Speaker 2: I mean they're also average. You know, you talk about
- 17:43Speaker 2: their passing game and their quarterback, they're still averaging six
- 17:45Speaker 2: yards of carry. So we're gonna have to probably win
- 17:53Speaker 2: a shootout. I don't I mean, what's the over under
- 17:55Speaker 2: for this game? Do you know what the implied point
- 17:58Speaker 2: total is for them? Because they're averaging almost forty points
- 18:01Speaker 2: a game they lost and they're coming up of bye week,
- 18:05Speaker 2: it is worth pointing out they're coming out of bye week.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's over under fifty eight and a half, which
- 18:11Speaker 4: is definitely the highest that we've had this this.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Season, and that you know, that's implying about a what
- 18:18Speaker 5: a thirty four to twenty eight ish in that ballpark,
- 18:21Speaker 5: thirty three to twenty seven.
- 18:25Speaker 4: So yeah, I think.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Man you mentioned the running back wayman Jordan, he's also
- 18:34Speaker 5: very high up there in the Big ten. They're running
- 18:36Speaker 5: the ball, are very good clip as well. So yeah,
- 18:37Speaker 5: their offense is very explosive, like they've proven that anytime
- 18:45Speaker 5: that you are and this is just generally speaking. I
- 18:49Speaker 5: don't think we've talked about this because we've been kind
- 18:51Speaker 5: of the favorite in most of our games this year
- 18:55Speaker 5: when you are the underdog.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Slash. The team that.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Isn't doesn't have as many talented players as the other team,
- 19:05Speaker 5: which I'm not saying USC is like over the top
- 19:09Speaker 5: better than us.
- 19:10Speaker 4: I don't.
- 19:12Speaker 5: Think that, but they probably are a little bit of
- 19:14Speaker 5: mean their favorite on the road by six and a half.
- 19:17Speaker 5: You want the game to be as short as possible
- 19:22Speaker 5: and control the clock and limit the number of plays
- 19:26Speaker 5: rain by ball teams. And this is a data numbers thing,
- 19:31Speaker 5: if you want to think of it that way.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Right, if you are playing someone that's in anything, let's
- 19:38Speaker 4: say Austin.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Let's say.
- 19:41Speaker 4: You and I each have one curling shop. He's curling.
- 19:44Speaker 5: For an example, we're playing a curlyum, I'd rather just
- 19:47Speaker 5: go on one verse one. That's my best chance of
- 19:49Speaker 5: beating your.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Entire game.
- 19:53Speaker 5: If we go through an entire game, I'm very very
- 19:55Speaker 5: small chance of winning because I've never done it before
- 19:57Speaker 5: in my life. But if we just have one shot,
- 20:00Speaker 5: my chance of beating you is probably a lot higher
- 20:03Speaker 5: than doing it multiple times over and over. So that's
- 20:06Speaker 5: the that's the theory, right, The law of averages that
- 20:09Speaker 5: if the better team the more you play, the more
- 20:11Speaker 5: possessions you have.
- 20:12Speaker 4: The more plays and more snaps you have, the better
- 20:15Speaker 4: off you're going to be.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Which is also why when we played Minnesota and Northwestern
- 20:22Speaker 5: in Michigan State, why they why we why we kind
- 20:27Speaker 5: of wanted it to be a little higher scoring and
- 20:29Speaker 5: we we were okay with it if we, you know,
- 20:31Speaker 5: if we got into a shootout, because we probably felt
- 20:33Speaker 5: like we were the better team. So this is the
- 20:37Speaker 5: first game that we're on the other side of that,
- 20:39Speaker 5: and we do want to say, nope, let's see if
- 20:42Speaker 5: we can control the clock, the game, run the ball,
- 20:46Speaker 5: slow them down.
- 20:47Speaker 4: The question is can we.
- 20:51Speaker 5: I don't think we want to get in a shootout,
- 20:52Speaker 5: but that might be what happens because of the way
- 20:55Speaker 5: we are up front now. I hope our game plan
- 20:58Speaker 5: game style doesn't.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Reflect that.
- 21:02Speaker 5: I don't think it will. I think like the Ohio
- 21:05Speaker 5: State game last year, we did a pretty damn good
- 21:07Speaker 5: job of just trying to control the game. And I
- 21:11Speaker 5: think that's going to be the the plan here. And
- 21:14Speaker 5: if you're usc you want to just go, go, go.
- 21:16Speaker 5: But I also think that the whole atmosphere, in the
- 21:20Speaker 5: weather and going on the road hopefully will help halt
- 21:24Speaker 5: that a little bit.
- 21:25Speaker 2: That will definitely slow down the no huddle, hurry up offensive.
- 21:29Speaker 2: We're actually loud enough looking at USC, looking at the
- 21:33Speaker 2: shared opponents we played, So we've only played two. We've
- 21:36Speaker 2: played Michigan State and Michigan are the only two teams
- 21:38Speaker 2: that we've shared funds. They beat both Michigan State and Michigan.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Michigan State by fourteen, and then they beat Michigan by
- 21:49Speaker 2: what would that be a lot more than that?
- 21:54Speaker 5: The Michigan game was the one that was that if
- 21:56Speaker 5: you want to do a common opponent comparison, you go, okay, Well,
- 22:02Speaker 5: then they can beat Michigan like that, and we're screwed
- 22:06Speaker 5: because of how we played Michigan and and Michigan obviously
- 22:09Speaker 5: was one of those physical, run power teams and USC
- 22:16Speaker 5: was fining against that.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Two of their big say lost in Our Dame and Ilinois,
- 22:21Speaker 2: both on the road, though, so that's there's you know
- 22:24Speaker 2: something there. Their only other road game is against Purdue
- 22:27Speaker 2: and may be perdue by sixteen, which it seems like
- 22:31Speaker 2: anyone can be Purdue by sixteen this year.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Yeah, they struggled.
- 22:37Speaker 5: That's been the other narrative I've heard a lot is
- 22:39Speaker 5: they've struggled traveling East and playing in these type of environments.
- 22:46Speaker 2: The cold help against USC. I mean this is.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Hopefully we'll add give us I'm not gonna say it's
- 22:53Speaker 5: going to swing the game fourteen points, but hopefully it can.
- 22:58Speaker 4: You know, cut that.
- 23:01Speaker 5: The being unfavored by hermony point, hopefully we can get
- 23:03Speaker 5: a few points off of that advantage because of the
- 23:06Speaker 5: road and.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Travel.
- 23:11Speaker 4: I mean, we're gonna be the same same boat next
- 23:13Speaker 4: week when we go out west to Pasadena and play
- 23:18Speaker 4: U C.
- 23:19Speaker 6: L A.
- 23:19Speaker 5: So the environment should should matter, and it should affect
- 23:26Speaker 5: their offense, hopefully slow them down to the point.
- 23:29Speaker 4: That we don't give up forty points.
- 23:32Speaker 5: Now, if we do a different I just hope we don't,
- 23:36Speaker 5: but there definitely is a possibility that that happens. And
- 23:42Speaker 5: USC's explosive enough to do that. I mentioned Makayle Lemon
- 23:46Speaker 5: and Jacob Jacoby Jaquori Lane Jacoby. I mean, is there
- 23:53Speaker 5: other like top receiver. I mentioned they're running back, so
- 23:57Speaker 5: they're doing it multiple ways, but we're gonna need that
- 24:02Speaker 5: crowd to slow it down.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Anything else that we're looking for. I guess the other
- 24:11Speaker 4: thing that I think that needs to happen this game.
- 24:14Speaker 4: We need to get pressure on my my ava Like
- 24:17Speaker 4: it's just as I say, I wouldn't happen.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I wouldn't count on us game pressure on them.
- 24:21Speaker 4: And we haven't done anybody.
- 24:23Speaker 2: We haven't done anybody. And they've only been sacked. Oh
- 24:26Speaker 2: I just closed tab. Shoot. They have not been sacked
- 24:29Speaker 2: a lot. They've been sacked six times this year for
- 24:33Speaker 2: thirty sevenyrds.
- 24:35Speaker 4: If we can get and I'm gonna even say two
- 24:39Speaker 4: and on third down.
- 24:43Speaker 5: And talk about plays that energize the crowd, if we
- 24:49Speaker 5: can just get a couple of sacks, that's that's going
- 24:52Speaker 5: to be ginormous for this game.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Can we I I don't think we can. I am
- 24:59Speaker 2: not heading on his getting sacks. Like I said, they've
- 25:02Speaker 2: only been sacked six times, and I have sacks? Did
- 25:07Speaker 2: Michigan and Michigan State have on us.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Six too many?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Six? And one of those games probably, I don't know.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I have to look back at it. Yeah, I don't
- 25:18Speaker 2: think we're gonna get pressure on him.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I I mean, so here's here's where we're gonna have
- 25:25Speaker 4: to and I.
- 25:29Speaker 5: We had to trust John Butler to the D and
- 25:32Speaker 5: the D line a little bit, hopefully to be creative.
- 25:36Speaker 5: And we haven't been creative, so there's no reason to
- 25:39Speaker 5: think that we will in finding a way to win
- 25:42Speaker 5: the numbers game so that we get a guy that
- 25:45Speaker 5: can go in untouched or barely touched on there like
- 25:49Speaker 5: that obviously is a very high level of how you
- 25:52Speaker 5: get pressure to a quarterback, but you're going to do
- 25:56Speaker 5: it through coaching because I think just from a personnel
- 25:59Speaker 5: stand what we've shown them, we don't really have that
- 26:02Speaker 5: this year, which is fine, but by doing the numbers
- 26:08Speaker 5: game and doing that means you're probably going to be
- 26:12Speaker 5: giving up something in the back end. So you're gonna
- 26:14Speaker 5: do it, you better do it right and win the
- 26:18Speaker 5: one on one coaching battle for that play, because if
- 26:21Speaker 5: USC picks it up, they got players in the back end,
- 26:25Speaker 5: and and maybe our defense can on the back end,
- 26:29Speaker 5: can hold it up, maybe our secondary they're gonna get tested.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Like you said, it's going to be.
- 26:36Speaker 5: The best passing, skill player type of team that we've
- 26:40Speaker 5: played all year and maybe for the rest of the year.
- 26:44Speaker 5: So that's gonna be the key thing, I think. And
- 26:47Speaker 5: if we can't get pressure on him and he just
- 26:49Speaker 5: has all the time in the world, that's scary. I like,
- 26:57Speaker 5: this game is gonna look very different from a fane
- 27:00Speaker 5: just because of the offense that they are and people
- 27:04Speaker 5: are gonna know that. But it is there's gonna be
- 27:06Speaker 5: time or they just move the ball consistently down the field.
- 27:10Speaker 5: It's can we get pressure on them and can we
- 27:11Speaker 5: find a way to force a couple of turnovers in
- 27:14Speaker 5: this game?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Sure? Two things that they have not done a lot
- 27:18Speaker 2: this year, WHI.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Is why they're probably six and two.
- 27:22Speaker 2: I mean we're also six and two, but we've been
- 27:24Speaker 2: sacked a ship.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Tug, yes, and we're six and two in a very
- 27:27Speaker 4: different way.
- 27:31Speaker 2: We easier sacked a lot.
- 27:33Speaker 4: And we have turned the ball over very bad turnovers.
- 27:37Speaker 5: I'll say that to you, like some of the interceptions
- 27:39Speaker 5: have been rough rough now, we haven't fumbled it a lot,
- 27:44Speaker 5: knocking on wood right now.
- 27:46Speaker 2: So they have had six fumbles lost.
- 27:50Speaker 4: So and this is gonna be their probably first. It's
- 27:54Speaker 4: not gonna be cold. It's supposed to be like forty
- 27:57Speaker 4: three cooler temperature.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I mean that's pretty it's forty three with a real
- 28:01Speaker 2: field probably like thirty some high thirties.
- 28:04Speaker 5: You asked me, I would I would want the Texas
- 28:06Speaker 5: snow game in octob I guess it will be November first,
- 28:10Speaker 5: but that's what that'd be ideal, but we're not going
- 28:14Speaker 5: to get that. It's going to be cool, So that
- 28:17Speaker 5: hopefully can help a little bit there. The flipping on
- 28:22Speaker 5: the other side of the ball, our offense is going
- 28:26Speaker 5: to have very minimal margin for air given USC's firepower
- 28:33Speaker 5: they have on offense, and what I mean by that,
- 28:35Speaker 5: we can't afford one of those stupid dumb interceptions on
- 28:41Speaker 5: our side of the field. We can't afford going three
- 28:44Speaker 5: and out multiple times this game and giving them the
- 28:48Speaker 5: ball in good field position. That's not going to bode
- 28:53Speaker 5: well for us. It's not it's not going to be
- 28:55Speaker 5: a big ten I don't think it'll be a big
- 28:58Speaker 5: ten running punt game.
- 29:01Speaker 2: I think this is going to be a game where, yes,
- 29:04Speaker 2: special teams are going to be I don't think I
- 29:07Speaker 2: think special teams is going to be a thing that
- 29:09Speaker 2: shifts it our our favor. But it's not gonna be
- 29:12Speaker 2: the punting game. If we're leaning on the punting game
- 29:17Speaker 2: to win this game, we're gonna lose because although we
- 29:23Speaker 2: could flip the field with our Gordon Savior Archie Wilson
- 29:28Speaker 2: pretty easy, Yeah, we do. I mean the way special
- 29:33Speaker 2: teams helps us win this game is we get better
- 29:35Speaker 2: starting field goal field position and we someone take advantage
- 29:39Speaker 2: of that, which is something we haven't really done very
- 29:41Speaker 2: well this year.
- 29:41Speaker 4: That is one thing to watch too, and that that
- 29:47Speaker 4: that's how Iowa.
- 29:50Speaker 5: It's so good year after year and wins eight games
- 29:54Speaker 5: is they are so good at winning field position battles.
- 30:00Speaker 4: And a lot of that comes with punting.
- 30:02Speaker 5: But that is one job of the special teams is
- 30:05Speaker 5: instead of fair catching, as you say, punt returns for example,
- 30:08Speaker 5: every single one, can you get twelve yards on a
- 30:11Speaker 5: return and start at the thirty seven versus twenty five.
- 30:14Speaker 5: It's a very it's a very different starting point for
- 30:18Speaker 5: an offense. So I agree, that's gonna be huge here
- 30:22Speaker 5: to watch.
- 30:26Speaker 2: And we're gonna and honestly, they said, we don't need
- 30:29Speaker 2: the punting. The punting game is not gonna wins the game.
- 30:31Speaker 2: But if we're putting them deeper an offense that moves
- 30:35Speaker 2: the ball, well, it just gives us more opportunities for
- 30:38Speaker 2: it gives us more opportunities for them to mess up.
- 30:40Speaker 5: You know, and think about other times when the crowd
- 30:43Speaker 5: gets very low when you pin somebody inside the ten
- 30:45Speaker 5: or the five.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Yeah's another time.
- 30:47Speaker 5: I mean that that will juice up the stadium too
- 30:50Speaker 5: by doing something like that, So that also if the
- 30:53Speaker 5: opportunity arises, we need to take advantage of those moments.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess when I think about what what I
- 31:02Speaker 2: what I want to see, which I mean want what
- 31:05Speaker 2: do I want to see? How the Huskers in this game?
- 31:09Speaker 6: It is.
- 31:10Speaker 2: It's funny because I don't really think about anything that
- 31:14Speaker 2: needs to improve on the offensive side that much, you know,
- 31:19Speaker 2: not like man, our offense really needs to do blank
- 31:21Speaker 2: to win this game. It's really all about our defense
- 31:24Speaker 2: that our special teams need to do it because I
- 31:26Speaker 2: do feel I mean, our offense is not the same
- 31:29Speaker 2: firepower as USC. But I do think in a back
- 31:34Speaker 2: if you were just to go offense versus offense, who
- 31:36Speaker 2: could score with with the same defense, if you put
- 31:42Speaker 2: out the same defensive players, I feel like we could
- 31:44Speaker 2: actually do alright keeping pace with USC. Yeah, I might
- 31:49Speaker 2: be that might be arrogant. That might be just looking
- 31:51Speaker 2: at people.
- 31:53Speaker 4: You've had their backs.
- 31:55Speaker 2: I mean as far as the phases of the game
- 31:58Speaker 2: that I think our defense is not good. I agree
- 32:02Speaker 2: we're going to lose the game.
- 32:04Speaker 4: The big thing on offense, and for me, the offensive line.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Done for the year again, probably done for his career, and.
- 32:18Speaker 4: We're all banged up there. I think Catula is listed as.
- 32:22Speaker 2: An or, Yeah, Rocko's got a glove on or you know,
- 32:28Speaker 2: a bludgeon, so that that, to me, is going to
- 32:33Speaker 2: be a key thing.
- 32:34Speaker 6: And and.
- 32:37Speaker 5: Tying with that is Emmitt Johnson's ability to run the
- 32:39Speaker 5: ball and Jeremiah Love for Notre Dame, which Emma Johnson's
- 32:43Speaker 5: not Jeremiah Love. Jeremiah Loves one of, if not the
- 32:46Speaker 5: best running back in the country. But Emmett's proven that
- 32:49Speaker 5: he can be one of the best in the Big Ten.
- 32:52Speaker 5: And if he can get going behind this offensive line early, then.
- 33:03Speaker 4: I like our chances.
- 33:04Speaker 5: If if the story, you know, is the general consensus
- 33:09Speaker 5: is USC's flashy, skilled player, not as tough as not
- 33:15Speaker 5: a tough Big Ten team that we're used to, I
- 33:18Speaker 5: think that's more of a generalization.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't.
- 33:22Speaker 5: I'm not gonna say their offensive defensive lines aren't good,
- 33:25Speaker 5: Like there's no reason to say that. If we can
- 33:28Speaker 5: control that line of scrimmage better than we have in
- 33:31Speaker 5: the past few games, then we're we're we're gonna be
- 33:35Speaker 5: in this game. The scary part is as if we're
- 33:39Speaker 5: that's a neutral battle and they can just trump us
- 33:44Speaker 5: everywhere else. That's where it gets hairy for me and
- 33:50Speaker 5: the game. And I'm gonna say it's gonna be a blowout,
- 33:52Speaker 5: but could be a fourteen point game not in our
- 33:54Speaker 5: favor mm hmm.
- 33:56Speaker 4: So that it is, can can we control the game?
- 33:58Speaker 4: And this is one of my.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Keys or thoughts. It's getting out in front early more so,
- 34:08Speaker 5: it's important in every game no matter who you play
- 34:12Speaker 5: this game. Man, if you want to ask one thing,
- 34:17Speaker 5: just please and pray to the gods for it to happen.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Is can we can we get a head to start
- 34:22Speaker 5: the game.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I mean, that's how we won the Michigan State game.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I don't I think if we don't get that punt
- 34:26Speaker 2: block return for a touchdown that game when we're up
- 34:29Speaker 2: fourteen zero and within the first that changed. That changed
- 34:34Speaker 2: their game plan, which I think they might have done
- 34:37Speaker 2: a lot better. So if we could do that against
- 34:38Speaker 2: USC ver, hey we score opening drive three and ow
- 34:43Speaker 2: we get a field goal or something. Second it starts
- 34:46Speaker 2: to you know, you're right, the crowd gets into.
- 34:49Speaker 4: It, taking I'm taking the ball. If we get if
- 34:53Speaker 4: USC is gonna, you know, they get the they get
- 34:55Speaker 4: the coin flip. If I guess so we don't, we
- 34:57Speaker 4: won't get the decision. We yeah, we will, they lose.
- 34:59Speaker 4: It's coin flip, man, I'm forgetting how heads and tails works.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Which we haven't won a coin flip. We haven't or no.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Last week was the first week we got to pick,
- 35:08Speaker 2: right if we wanted to receive or not. I think
- 35:12Speaker 2: for the year.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Yes, if you're well now, if you're on the yeah,
- 35:15Speaker 5: if you're on the road, you get to pick the
- 35:17Speaker 5: coin flip.
- 35:18Speaker 4: But then then you if you win it, you get
- 35:21Speaker 4: to choose.
- 35:22Speaker 2: So last last week was the first one that we
- 35:24Speaker 2: actually we we won the coin flip.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Yeah I didn't. I didn't. I don't know that. But
- 35:31Speaker 4: I think we won the ball, I seriously do.
- 35:34Speaker 5: I The worst case scenario is we get down seven
- 35:37Speaker 5: to nothing and in the back of our minds we think,
- 35:41Speaker 5: oh boy, we can't. We can't control the game, like
- 35:46Speaker 5: we got to start keeping up with them right away.
- 35:48Speaker 5: I think that's worst case scenario. Whereas even if even
- 35:51Speaker 5: if we can get the ball and we get get
- 35:52Speaker 5: a field goal, go three to zero. I think that's
- 35:55Speaker 5: huge for the crowd perspective too, but just in general
- 35:58Speaker 5: in the game for how you to go.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I mean, we've got a good job of that this year.
- 36:02Speaker 4: We really have. We played well in the first and
- 36:04Speaker 4: fourth quarters, like that's been our thing. And you hope
- 36:08Speaker 4: that that.
- 36:09Speaker 2: They go down and score opening drive or we go
- 36:15Speaker 2: three and out like a real quick you know, real
- 36:19Speaker 2: quick three and out and they go down to score.
- 36:20Speaker 2: I mean, that crowd is gonna be absolutely not that
- 36:25Speaker 2: they can't you can't get back into it, you know.
- 36:27Speaker 2: But you're right that Nebraska fans that we're six and two,
- 36:35Speaker 2: and I mean, gosh, you'd think that we are. We're
- 36:38Speaker 2: barely scraping by this year. You know, everyone's so like
- 36:42Speaker 2: it's weird.
- 36:43Speaker 5: It's it's so weird just because of who we played
- 36:45Speaker 5: in our schedule, like it really is. I think it
- 36:48Speaker 5: step back a couple of days ago and I said we.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Are six and two.
- 36:51Speaker 2: First time, it's two third weird.
- 36:53Speaker 5: Given I tried to take all my other thoughts out. Now,
- 36:55Speaker 5: there are games that we've scraped and clawed o a
- 37:02Speaker 5: way to win them.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Right, but coming into the year, we had it like
- 37:06Speaker 2: it's like outside of the Minnesota game. We I think
- 37:08Speaker 2: we all thought we'd be six and two by the
- 37:10Speaker 2: eight game mark. And the minne Ofnesota game was super ugly,
- 37:14Speaker 2: But other than that, it's like, well as a close
- 37:15Speaker 2: lost to Michigan, which we thought lave the Blues anyways.
- 37:19Speaker 5: And I guess people would complain about losing one score games. Well,
- 37:24Speaker 5: now we've won three of four this year, right, so
- 37:29Speaker 5: I guess take that. It's not We're not. You're okay,
- 37:34Speaker 5: get off of USC a little bit. Here's the problem.
- 37:36Speaker 5: Here's the problem is the expectation got set, for whatever
- 37:42Speaker 5: reason by whoever. I mean, we did, Husker media does it,
- 37:47Speaker 5: but nationally people, the expectation got set that we could
- 37:49Speaker 5: be a dark horse playoff contender and.
- 37:53Speaker 4: We were Matt Real year three and we could be
- 37:56Speaker 4: that good.
- 37:59Speaker 5: So that got thrown out there, and now we're not
- 38:04Speaker 5: appreciating just the baby steps forward that.
- 38:08Speaker 4: We have made since last year. And they have been
- 38:11Speaker 4: steps forward.
- 38:12Speaker 5: And the only way to me that the season ends
- 38:14Speaker 5: and it's not a step forward is if we lose
- 38:16Speaker 5: out now it could happen, and even then you could argue, well, we.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Well, I guess we still would be six and.
- 38:25Speaker 2: We need to win one.
- 38:26Speaker 5: We need to win one, but for the we need
- 38:29Speaker 5: to win one for the win total to be a
- 38:30Speaker 5: little better. My concern with that even is, yeah, our
- 38:34Speaker 5: schedule is easier. So to me, it's like, is is
- 38:39Speaker 5: that a progress?
- 38:40Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 38:41Speaker 5: You know, my worst fear is that gets going seven
- 38:45Speaker 5: and five. I mean I think eight and four helps
- 38:47Speaker 5: even eight and four a little bit, but I think
- 38:49Speaker 5: eight and four helps like show that No, we've we've.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Moved the bad teams. Now. I know we had an
- 38:56Speaker 2: easy schedule, but we've lost the bad teams for we
- 38:58Speaker 2: have done.
- 38:58Speaker 5: That before years, So that that, to me is is
- 39:03Speaker 5: a little bit why you're right the six and two
- 39:05Speaker 5: narrative is we're not appreciative of it just because we
- 39:10Speaker 5: we've we we expected this big overhaul of Now we're
- 39:17Speaker 5: a playoff team in year three under a rule because
- 39:19Speaker 5: that's what he's done, and our schedule sets up for
- 39:22Speaker 5: it perfectly. Well, we're still taking baby steps. We're not
- 39:26Speaker 5: we're not in that tier one or even maybe tier
- 39:28Speaker 5: two of Big ten teams. Now we're playing some of
- 39:30Speaker 5: them this week or these next four weeks, five weeks.
- 39:32Speaker 2: So if we if we come out when we finished
- 39:35Speaker 2: the year when Pete USC lose to U C l
- 39:38Speaker 2: A and be Iowa, it's a great year.
- 39:43Speaker 5: But right now we're not.
- 39:44Speaker 4: That's not looking like we will beat Iowa this game, and.
- 39:49Speaker 2: So we're probably gonna lose this game. Yeah, okay, let's
- 39:53Speaker 2: give predictions. You gotta get out of here.
- 39:55Speaker 4: I do, I don't, I don't, I don't know.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I don't think we're going to lose. I do think
- 40:04Speaker 2: the crowd's gonna help. But I think it's going to
- 40:06Speaker 2: be closer to like that fourteen point loss that you
- 40:08Speaker 2: were talking about, where it's like, well, we're really in it,
- 40:10Speaker 2: and then kind of at the end it's it's like, uh,
- 40:13Speaker 2: we have to take some shots, we have to be
- 40:14Speaker 2: a little riskier. The USC gets a big breakaway play
- 40:17Speaker 2: at the end because we're being a little bit more aggressive.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So I guess prediction would be twenty eight seventeen USC.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Can I be a homer. I'm gonna be a hoverer.
- 40:35Speaker 2: I can be a homer, which is something you don't
- 40:37Speaker 2: do this.
- 40:37Speaker 4: I don't hear a lot.
- 40:40Speaker 5: We I'm gonna make an assumption here USC. They're city boys.
- 40:51Speaker 5: They don't know Midwest culture.
- 40:55Speaker 2: They don't hear the cold.
- 40:57Speaker 4: They're not not even the.
- 40:59Speaker 5: Cold, but just it's a gritty, hard nose, blue collar,
- 41:04Speaker 5: hardworking Midwest nature. And I'm not saying we're all those things,
- 41:08Speaker 5: because we definitely have not been all the time.
- 41:11Speaker 4: But USC is not that.
- 41:15Speaker 5: They like things nice. They live in Hollywood, they like
- 41:20Speaker 5: things they're not ready for what Memorial Stadium is gonna bring.
- 41:27Speaker 5: We're gonna get a couple of picks. I think we
- 41:32Speaker 5: might throw a couple too, but it's gonna be enough,
- 41:35Speaker 5: okay to hold on and it's gonna be ugly, but
- 41:41Speaker 5: we're gonna win.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Twenty one to twenty.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Wow. Is Dak gonna be sober enough to make it
- 41:54Speaker 2: to the game night game?
- 41:56Speaker 5: He doesn't go to the games anyways, And no, he's
- 42:00Speaker 5: just gonna be drunk at We're gonna see how this
- 42:02Speaker 5: how this UH.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Sickness handles him. From what we've heard, he's been he's
- 42:08Speaker 4: been out for a week. He went down to the.
- 42:12Speaker 5: UH Kansas City game against the Commanders on Monday night
- 42:16Speaker 5: and ever since then it's been what's which, Yeah, he
- 42:22Speaker 5: had kind of something before that, and I'm not sure
- 42:24Speaker 5: he got much sleep this weekend, and so I think
- 42:26Speaker 5: he's probably his body's not liking him right now.
- 42:29Speaker 4: And he also is not very tough. I'll say that,
- 42:33Speaker 4: so I don't know, I just.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Start out there, sorry, you're not on here to defend yourself,
- 42:37Speaker 5: but he's not. He's not very tough when it comes
- 42:38Speaker 5: to stuff like this.
- 42:39Speaker 2: So he loves Lincoln Riley and he's just not very tough.
- 42:42Speaker 5: So Lincoln Riley, Gosh, he cannot stop talking about him.
- 42:46Speaker 5: So uh yeah, we'll get his maybe score prediction.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Hopefully we'll get a basketball preview in this weekend.
- 42:55Speaker 5: Yeah, planning to do that and they have it out
- 42:57Speaker 5: before next week. We're a season that kicks off on Monday.
- 43:01Speaker 2: We did beat they beat Midland, So Nebraska volleyball plays
- 43:06Speaker 2: Wisconsin on Halloween. Not the Wisconsin of old, but hopefully
- 43:11Speaker 2: it remain undefeated in the Big Ten play.
- 43:14Speaker 4: I would enjoy your AI music that preview. I've kind
- 43:20Speaker 4: of had fun with that.
- 43:21Speaker 5: It's been i don't know, pretty easy to do with
- 43:24Speaker 5: with with chat GBT, creating me some prompts and then
- 43:27Speaker 5: dumping it into a software that does it. So it's
- 43:31Speaker 5: it's still a little glitchy and not perfect, but it's
- 43:36Speaker 5: been kind of fun. So little spooky version with some
- 43:42Speaker 5: with some hype for this week. Also, there's also some
- 43:44Speaker 5: very cool this is why this game is so exciting
- 43:47Speaker 5: for me, And there's some cool videos out there just
- 43:49Speaker 5: with the bones.
- 43:51Speaker 2: And Blackout's cool. Black Shirts are cool. We need to
- 43:55Speaker 2: steer into it more often. I wish our helmets had
- 43:57Speaker 2: the Black Shirts logo on on this side of the black.
- 43:59Speaker 4: End that and I wish they were black the helmets.
- 44:03Speaker 4: I want. I want everything this week just to be
- 44:07Speaker 4: just dark.
- 44:07Speaker 5: It's like we've been sitting in the dark this whole
- 44:09Speaker 5: forty five minutes. I want everything just be black everywhere.
- 44:12Speaker 5: And I think the stadium. The stadium is going to
- 44:15Speaker 5: do some stuff like that. I even see like pregame
- 44:18Speaker 5: where it's just gonna be. The lights are gonna be
- 44:20Speaker 5: offered extended period of time, like it's good, Oh, that's
- 44:22Speaker 5: gonna be.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It would be cool if they just had their red
- 44:25Speaker 2: lights on for a while so people could still see.
- 44:26Speaker 2: But it's just like it's just no, we're not We're
- 44:29Speaker 2: not turning on the lights.
- 44:30Speaker 6: You know.
- 44:31Speaker 5: It's just it's it's gonna be. It's gonna be electric.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Thank god we won last week. I'll just say that again.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Thank God, we won last week. If we lost last week,
- 44:38Speaker 5: this game would be at.
- 44:43Speaker 7: All right.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Well, we'll hopefully be happy come Monday morning. Nope, go
