  Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this

  Speaker 1: mic and go through the listeners' ears and be able
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: to reach their hearts and minds and be able to

  Speaker 1: apply these verses in Mark chapter 13 in their lives.

  Speaker 1: In the Lord Jesus Christ's name I pray, amen.

  Speaker 1: So as I'm on the go, please forgive me. You'll

  Speaker 1: hear some background noise. Just ignore it. It's just like

  Speaker 1: how we have in life. There's going to be distractions.

  Speaker 1: There's going to be noises. But we've got to continue

  Speaker 1: to keep moving. We can't get stuck. Because depression cannot

  Speaker 1: hit a moving target.

  Speaker 2: Amen? So... The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

  Speaker 1: And... these slogans that you may hear and these preachings
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: and teachings that you may hear in Mark chapter 13

  Speaker 1: might not resonate with you. And that's the thing about
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: Bible study. There's going to be certain verses that are
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: for you and there's going to be some verses that
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: just aren't for you.
• 1:18
  Speaker 2: And then that's what may bring some.

  Speaker 1: Confusion and hard to understand the context of the Bible,
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: but all it is is as a necessity is to
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: not necessarily believe it 100% that.

  Speaker 2: You can't comprehend.

  Speaker 1: Because in time that's what Bible study is all about
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: learning and.
• 1:46
  Speaker 2: As well being.

  Speaker 1: That you don't necessarily have to understand it 100% you.

  Speaker 2: Just have to believe the word So let's jump into it.

  Speaker 1: Mark chapter 13, verse 1, and it is titled, Jesus

  Speaker 1: says that enemies will destroy the temple. Before we get
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: into this verse, he's referring to the temple of his body,

  Speaker 1: not the temple of like a church. So keep that
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: in mind as we move forward. Mark chapter 13, verse
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: 1 states, then Jesus left the temple. While he was leaving,
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: one of the disciples said to him, teacher, look at
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: these great buildings. The stones in the walls of the
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: temple are really great. Jesus said to him, yes, look
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: at all these large buildings. But I tell you, enemies
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: will completely destroy them. Not even one stone will remain
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: on top of another stone.
• 2:47
  Speaker 2: Jesus is illustrating, before he talked about his temple, he
• 2:55
  Speaker 2: referred to the temple.
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: As he was presented it by, right? And he knew
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: that there would be wars amongst people. And he knew
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: that even though these monuments, right, and these temples and
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: these things that were built Would not last.

  Speaker 2: Just because something looks. Good. Doesn't mean it's going. To last.

  Speaker 1: And I say that with not only just relationships. I'm
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: also saying that with careers. I'm saying that with. There's
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: always going to be change. Nothing stays the same. And
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: it does not matter. It's almost just like. When you
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: buy a car. The value of it. Definitely decreases when
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: you go off the sales floor. When you go off
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: of the... When you pull out of the parking lot, right?

  Speaker 1: It's already losing value. So you pay so much. And
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: I'm not just talking about money. I'm also talking about time, energy, effort.

  Speaker 1: Into what you really want out of life. And sometimes
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: it's destroyed. And you have to rebuild it. I once
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: heard this saying before I get into verse 3 and 4.

  Speaker 2: Is that.

  Speaker 1: If you're going through a blessing. Enjoy it because. Soon
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: there will be another battle. And if you're in a battle.

  Speaker 1: Endure it because a blessing is coming.

  Speaker 2: And I live on that. And I've seen it.

  Speaker 1: In.

  Speaker 3: 20-something years as a believer and follower of Christ as
• 5:03
  Speaker 3: the last six, seven months, full-heartedly surrendered.

  Speaker 1: And being it is, we're talking the temple, right? So

  Speaker 1: Jesus warns about a time of great trouble. After that,
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives. could look
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: across the valley at the temple. Peter, James, John, Andrew
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: went together to talk with him alone. Then said to Jesus,
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: please tell us when all these things will happen. What
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: will show us that they will soon happen? Jesus began
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: to say to them, please be careful. Some people will
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: tell you things that are not true. Do not believe
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: those people. Many people will say that they have come
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: on my behalf. They will say I am the Messiah.
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: And they will deceive many people. I want to cover that.
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: Because there are so many people in the higher ups
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: that think that they are gods.
• 6:17
  Speaker 2: And the ego and pride....
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: Is definitely cutting God out, right? And there's a right
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: way to please God, and there's a wrong way to
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: please God. The more and more that you continue to
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: please God, the more and more that you are rewarded
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: with joy, peace, things that this world tries to offer
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: that is temporary. There's no comparison. And I'm not going
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: to sit here and say, oh, I've been rich, so
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: I don't know how it feels to be rich. So
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: as I continue, sorry I had a little call there.

  Speaker 1: So there's a little skip. But it's like, many people
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: will say that they have come on my behalf.

  Speaker 2: That's a lot of religious leaders today. And the more
• 8:01
  Speaker 2: and more that I continue to.

  Speaker 1: Stay in prayer, the more that I continue to stay
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: in praise, the more that I continue to do this
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: Bible study, I don't over consume myself though too. Because
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: I believe ego and pride will get in the way.
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: And it has for a lot of believers.
• 8:22
  Speaker 2: See there's a.
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: Lot of people that start to experience God's grace.
• 8:26
  Speaker 2: God's love. God's protection. God's strength.
• 8:32
  Speaker 1: And then they boast about it. They don't give glory
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: to the Holy Spirit. Like they should.
• 8:39
  Speaker 2: But.
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: And that's a problem that we have in our society
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: of also religious leaders.
• 8:46
  Speaker 2: We're talking about division now.
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: When we talk about when somebody may ask, or it
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: even says on some.
• 8:55
  Speaker 2: Paperwork, what's your religion?
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: And there's even a button, right, to say other. And
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: that's what I've put in a lot of times. And also,
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: prefer not to say, right? A lot of people want
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: to hide their beliefs or their unbelief. And we'll get
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: into that in another episode. But many, many, didn't say
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: a few.

  Speaker 2: It didn't say just a select group. No, it says
• 9:29
  Speaker 2: many will say that they come on my behalf. You
• 9:35
  Speaker 2: can check the fruits online. They don't talk about God, Jesus,
• 9:41
  Speaker 2: and the Holy Spirit. Gotta watch them. Gotta observe. You
• 9:50
  Speaker 2: will hear about wars.
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: And there will be reports about wars in other places.
• 9:56
  Speaker 2: Do not be afraid. I love that sentence because that's
• 9:59
  Speaker 2: a full sentence. on Mark chapter 13.

  Speaker 1: I can't even see it. It's a little blurry. Verse 7.

  Speaker 1: Mark chapter 13 verse 7. There's a sentence. And I'm
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: on the easy reading version.

  Speaker 2: Right? And it says.

  Speaker 1: Do not be afraid. Those things must happen. But that
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: is not yet. the end of everything. People in one
• 10:24
  Speaker 1: country will attack the people in another country. Kings and
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: their armies will fight against other kings and their armies.

  Speaker 1: The ground will shake in many different places. In some places,
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: people will be hungry with no food. Those things are
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: like the first path that a mother has before her
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: baby is born. So be careful. People will be against you.

  Speaker 1: They will take you to stand in front of their leaders.
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: They will punish you with whips in their meeting places.

  Speaker 1: They will take you to stand in front of kings

  Speaker 1: and rulers. Things will happen because you are my disciples.

  Speaker 1: You will tell them the good news about me. Yes,
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: you must first tell the good news about me.

  Speaker 2: To people in every country.
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: When people take you to their leaders to show you,
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: to show that you have done bad things, do not
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: be afraid.
• 11:27
  Speaker 2: Do not worry about what you should say.
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: You should say the words that God gives you at
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: that time.
• 11:34
  Speaker 2: I love that because a lot of people struggle with prayer.
• 11:41
  Speaker 2: And they just say, I don't know what to say
• 11:43
  Speaker 2: to God.
• 11:44
  Speaker 1: Beautiful thing about what I've been able to obtain from
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: just those last few verses is that do not be
• 11:52
  Speaker 1: afraid to come to God as you are and when
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: you don't know what.
• 11:58
  Speaker 2: To necessarily say the Holy Spirit tells you what to say.

  Speaker 1: And it comes naturally it's not necessarily like oh say
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: this in like a voice No, when you really open
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: up your heart, your mind, your spirit, your soul to
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: allow another higher power in the Holy Spirit to take over,
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: it's not only for the people that are listening. It's
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: also for the person speaking. To experience God is to
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: be able to hear Him speak through you and use
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: you And it's not like an abuse use, right? We
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: all use or have used people, places, and things. God's
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: not trying to just use us. He just wants us
• 12:53
  Speaker 1: to glorify Him so that later on we can be
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: glorified with Him in heaven. So I want to make
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: this clear as I close out, get closer a little

  Speaker 1: bit to my destination. We're at 13... 13 minutes, right?

  Speaker 2: Because we all have a conscience.

  Speaker 1: But sometimes we need to be able to put on

  Speaker 1: another conscience, and that's the consciousness.

  Speaker 2: Of Christ walking in the light. It's okay to go
• 14:06
  Speaker 2: in the dark.

  Speaker 1: Because he knows that's exactly what we're going to do.

  Speaker 1: It's in our nature. But understanding that it doesn't take
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: a whole lot to please God.
