- 0:00Speaker 1: Now nine till noon weekdays mark simone more mark on
- 0:06Speaker 1: 710 wor hey it's.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hour number two that's right we start at nine o'clock
- 0:12Speaker 2: now nine to noon every day three hours every day
- 0:16Speaker 2: so uh katie zachariah uh they'll be trying to uh
- 0:21Speaker 2: you know the Fake news. We'll spend two, three days
- 0:25Speaker 2: on this trying to destroy her. Besides doing the daily briefing,
- 0:30Speaker 2: it's a big job. You got to work like 10,
- 0:33Speaker 2: 12 hours a day in the office. You got to
- 0:36Speaker 2: meet with all the principals all day long, get up
- 0:38Speaker 2: to speed on every little detail. Then your phone will
- 0:42Speaker 2: ring all night long when you're the press secretary. Anything
- 0:45Speaker 2: happens anywhere. The bombing in the Rand bombs a base somewhere.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You're going to get woken up. They're going to give
- 0:52Speaker 2: you the briefing for a half hour. And then the
- 0:55Speaker 2: other problem is the jackals in the fake news are
- 0:58Speaker 2: going to go over every inch of your life and
- 1:01Speaker 2: trying to find something wrong with your personal life. Now,
- 1:04Speaker 2: they do have something that they are going after. She
- 1:07Speaker 2: has always said she's a lawyer. Katie Zachariah has always
- 1:11Speaker 2: said she's a lawyer. She did a lot of TV
- 1:13Speaker 2: and a lot of commentary. And in many of those...
- 1:19Speaker 2: said she was some sort of legal expert, a lawyer.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Now she did graduate law school. She does have a
- 1:24Speaker 2: law degree, but, uh, all these jackals are digging through everything.
- 1:29Speaker 2: They can't find any place where she's admitted to the bar. She, uh,
- 1:34Speaker 2: went to, uh, let me see.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 2: She went to Pepperdine university, graduated with a law degree
- 1:40Speaker 2: in 2011, but they cannot find, uh, She's not listed
- 1:48Speaker 2: as a member of the bar in any state that
- 1:50Speaker 2: they can find in the legal, you know, you'd have
- 1:55Speaker 2: to pass the bar to be able to legally practice law.
- 1:58Speaker 2: She did apparently work as a lawyer for a nonprofit
- 2:02Speaker 2: doing legal work. I guess you could do that without
- 2:05Speaker 2: passing the bar. I'm looking through this now. She did
- 2:10Speaker 2: live in China for a couple of years. She's married
- 2:12Speaker 2: and her husband had to move to China for work.
- 2:14Speaker 2: So for a couple of years, She went there. She
- 2:17Speaker 2: claimed she did some legal stuff in China. However, according
- 2:25Speaker 2: to Chinese law, you cannot practice any kind of law
- 2:28Speaker 2: unless you're a Chinese citizen. Well, that would make sense.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So she's going to have to straighten that out. Where
- 2:35Speaker 2: did she actually practice law? Did she pass the bar anywhere?
- 2:40Speaker 2: They asked her yesterday on camera, and she was a
- 2:42Speaker 2: little evasive about that.
- 2:44Speaker 1: But.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But that's a minor little footnote. Again, she was fine
- 2:49Speaker 2: doing the briefing. You're going to hear that it was disaster.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It was a train wreck. It was. No, listen to her.
- 2:55Speaker 4: So I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family,
- 2:59Speaker 4: include my kids in my work, though my work will
- 3:02Speaker 4: be demanding. They will always be a priority. And I
- 3:05Speaker 4: President Trump. is the most family friendly president we've ever
- 3:09Speaker 4: had he has hired more women with families and the
- 3:12Speaker 4: fact that he knew I had four kids and he
- 3:14Speaker 4: knew that this job would be demanding and still placed
- 3:17Speaker 4: his trust in me shows that I know I'm capable
- 3:20Speaker 4: of being able to step up.
- 3:21Speaker 2: To that okay now you listen to that would you
- 3:24Speaker 2: describe that as a train wreck no she sounded fine
- 3:28Speaker 2: to me I mean listen she was a little nervous
- 3:32Speaker 2: a little shaky when she had to read that eight
- 3:33Speaker 2: minute statement but She sounded fine. She took three questions,
- 3:38Speaker 2: and I'm sure that's what they were. Two things happened.
- 3:41Speaker 2: They told her, you know, just take a few questions.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Don't make it a long briefing. Keep it short. The
- 3:45Speaker 2: briefing was 14 minutes. If you're watching the MSNBC nuts,
- 3:50Speaker 2: they were all going, 14 minutes?
- 3:51Speaker 3: What?
- 3:52Speaker 2: It's only 14 minutes?
- 3:53Speaker 1: What?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Nobody's ever had a briefing that short. Yeah, there have
- 3:55Speaker 2: been plenty of briefings that short. Shortest one ever was
- 3:58Speaker 2: 10 minutes, Karine Jean-Pierre, but it's not that unusual, so
- 4:04Speaker 2: they huffing and puffing and yelling and screaming, trying to
- 4:07Speaker 2: rile up their viewers all day about it. She'll be fine.
- 4:11Speaker 2: They'll get her a little media coach. The problem is
- 4:13Speaker 2: they'll have to teach her how to read the script
- 4:15Speaker 2: and look up and all that. So you can learn that.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And the next briefing, she'll be better and better. And
- 4:21Speaker 2: within two weeks, she'll be fine. Remember Sean Spicer's first
- 4:24Speaker 2: briefing was pretty bad. Then he got the hang of it. Hey,
- 4:28Speaker 2: Elon Omar looks like she's going to have problems. They
- 4:30Speaker 2: raided her house. They're focusing on all kinds of things.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Her lying on her immigration documents. It looks like she
- 4:37Speaker 2: may have lied about her age, but somehow she got
- 4:42Speaker 2: her age changed on a birth certificate. They're looking at
- 4:46Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. By the way, you'll notice all
- 4:49Speaker 2: day on MSNOW, CNN, all day long, nonstop coverage of
- 4:54Speaker 2: where did Katie Zakara pass the bar? They're going over,
- 4:57Speaker 2: they won't stop covering. You'll notice there was no mention
- 4:59Speaker 2: of the Ilhan Omar age problems. Seems like she changed
- 5:03Speaker 2: her age on a document. It seems like she may
- 5:07Speaker 2: have lied on her. There's no investigation into this by,
- 5:10Speaker 2: no mention of it by MSNOW or CNN. All they
- 5:14Speaker 2: mention is that how dare they raid her house. Why,
- 5:16Speaker 2: this is fascist. The same people that were cheering when
- 5:20Speaker 2: Mar-a-Lago got raided. So it looks like she could have
- 5:23Speaker 2: a real problem. Now, you know who's going to have
- 5:24Speaker 2: a big problem with the Trump administration? A lot of
- 5:27Speaker 2: the banks. These major banks did one of the, This
- 5:32Speaker 2: is about the dirtiest episode in the history of banking.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Joe Biden asked the major banks, the Biden administration pressured
- 5:42Speaker 2: them to debank Donald Trump and lots of conservatives. Debank
- 5:47Speaker 2: means they throw you out of the bank. You're not
- 5:50Speaker 2: allowed to have an account. And then all the banks
- 5:53Speaker 2: blacklist you. You cannot have a bank account. Now, that's
- 5:57Speaker 2: pretty serious stuff for an individual not to have a
- 5:59Speaker 2: bank account. That could really screw up your life. For
- 6:02Speaker 2: a major business, let's say you're the Trump organization, you're
- 6:05Speaker 2: a multi-billion dollar business and you can't have a bank account,
- 6:09Speaker 2: where are you supposed to keep $ 7 billion? How do
- 6:13Speaker 2: you write a check? How do you do any business
- 6:14Speaker 2: without a bank account? I mean, they had to scramble
- 6:19Speaker 2: and move to European banks and that kind of stuff,
- 6:22Speaker 2: but it's a nightmare. And it's a horrible, horrible, horrible
- 6:26Speaker 2: thing to do. Just blacklist people from the banking system,
- 6:30Speaker 2: but they did it. because they were terrified of the
- 6:33Speaker 2: Biden administration and what the Bidens might do to them.
- 6:36Speaker 2: So they all did it. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America,
- 6:40Speaker 2: all these major banks. So the Justice Department is now
- 6:44Speaker 2: investigating this. And it turns out they may have also
- 6:50Speaker 2: closed 100,000 accounts of anybody who was a big Trump person,
- 6:57Speaker 2: conservative groups, pro-life groups. They may have debanked all of them.
- 7:02Speaker 2: They're looking at 100,000 complaints here, 50,000 complaints there. This
- 7:08Speaker 2: is going to be serious stuff. It's JPMorgan Chase, Bank
- 7:11Speaker 2: of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, Capital One, PNC, U.S. Bank,
- 7:17Speaker 2: TD Bank, BMO Bank, found to have discriminated against American consumers.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And this is going to get real serious. They're going
- 7:27Speaker 2: to have to settle this case with the government. It
- 7:30Speaker 2: will mean massive fines. Huge, multi-billion dollar fines will have
- 7:38Speaker 2: to be paid by the banks. This is a real
- 7:40Speaker 2: serious thing. You know, the bank could be debanked. They
- 7:44Speaker 2: could have their banking privileges taken away. Serious stuff. And
- 7:48Speaker 2: they really are going after these banks. Now, there's another problem.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Bank of America... just got fined $ 1. 2 billion by the
- 7:56Speaker 2: Treasury Department. Bank of America allegedly violating anti-money laundering and
- 8:02Speaker 2: sanctions laws. So they're going to have to pay a
- 8:06Speaker 2: $ 1. 2 billion penalty. Now, what happens there is the bank
- 8:10Speaker 2: is not doing the money laundering. Well, it's not that
- 8:14Speaker 2: they're starting it. It's the customer is laundering money. It's
- 8:18Speaker 2: the customer is violating sanctions. And the bank is not
- 8:22Speaker 2: saying anything because it's a multi, multi, multi-million dollar account.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And the bank doesn't want to lose the business, so
- 8:29Speaker 2: they look the other way. They did that with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 8:33Speaker 2: You remember JPMorgan Chase, very embarrassing. Epstein had something like $ 500, 000,
- 8:39Speaker 2: $ 600, 000 in the bank, and they didn't want to lose
- 8:41Speaker 2: the account. So they let him do whatever the hell
- 8:45Speaker 2: he was doing, but they wouldn't remove Epstein's account. So
- 8:49Speaker 2: This is serious stuff. There were guys money laundering. There
- 8:52Speaker 2: were guys violating the international sanctions with Russia and Iran
- 8:57Speaker 2: and the bank looking the other way because they didn't
- 8:59Speaker 2: want to lose an account that big. So, in fact,
- 9:03Speaker 2: Treasury said Bank of America admits it willfully violated the
- 9:07Speaker 2: Bank Secrecy Act. So they're going to pay this fine.
- 9:12Speaker 2: $ 1. 2 billion. Pretty serious. Hey, Cornell University is going to,
- 9:20Speaker 2: shut down a fraternity or two. And also, Cornell has
- 9:24Speaker 2: now banned all fraternity parties. No more frat parties allowed
- 9:29Speaker 2: on campus as they make sweeping changes. Any fraternity caught
- 9:36Speaker 2: holding a party will be closed down. Bill Maher has
- 9:40Speaker 2: been calling for them to end all fraternities, get rid
- 9:43Speaker 2: of them. A bunch of men all living like that,
- 9:45Speaker 2: it's going to be trouble. Remember, Bill Maher is a
- 9:48Speaker 2: Cornell graduate And that was a big thing in the
- 9:51Speaker 2: debate last night, the Cornell stuff, where Bruce Blakeman really
- 9:55Speaker 2: hit Kathy Hochul hard in the debate. And when it
- 9:58Speaker 2: came to Cornell... I don't think anybody realized this, half
- 10:02Speaker 2: of Cornell is a state college. The state of New
- 10:05Speaker 2: York partners with Cornell. So when the whole thing happened,
- 10:08Speaker 2: this horrible incident, you know, this incident is two years ago.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Two years ago. Where was Hochul on this two years ago?
- 10:16Speaker 2: And you remember it went to a local district attorney.
- 10:19Speaker 2: who dropped the case. The district attorneys work for the state.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's a state job. It's all up to, uh, Hochul.
- 10:26Speaker 2: And she did nothing. And Blakeman kept pointing out, you're
- 10:30Speaker 2: a trustee of Cornell. You're on the board of Cornell.
- 10:32Speaker 2: And you did nothing about this back then. Didn't look
- 10:35Speaker 2: good for Hochul. Uh, Hochul spent the whole night screaming about, uh,
- 10:40Speaker 2: about Trump.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Just four days ago, you stood on a stage screaming
- 10:43Speaker 5: at the top of your lungs, we love Donald Trump.
- 10:47Speaker 5: Is it his unfettered use of ICE terrorizing our neighborhoods?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's a rally. You yell stuff like that.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Donald Trump's my friend.
- 10:56Speaker 6: He's endorsed me. But so has Bonnie Lautenberg, actor Deborah Messing,
- 11:00Speaker 6: who's a liberal Democrat.
- 11:02Speaker 5: All right, so you got two votes.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 11:04Speaker 2: No, that was their best line of the whole night.
- 11:06Speaker 6: When you talk about Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump,
- 11:09Speaker 6: that's all you can talk about because you have a
- 11:12Speaker 6: record of failure and misery for the people who live
- 11:15Speaker 6: in this state.
- 11:16Speaker 5: I did not wrap myself in the shroud of Donald
- 11:18Speaker 5: Trump the way you did.
- 11:20Speaker 6: No, you wrap it in Zoran Mondani.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Who Donald Trump actually thinks is a great mayor.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Now, you notice the moderator is always going to jump in.
- 11:27Speaker 2: If it looks bad for Hochul, the moderator jumps right in.
- 11:31Speaker 2: We have to move on. We have to move on.
- 11:33Speaker 6: Governor Hochul, under your sanctuary policies, a 14-year-old girl was
- 11:39Speaker 6: raped recently here in New York State by an illegal migrant.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Four Irondequoit residents were killed recently by an illegal migrant.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Two of those victims.
- 11:51Speaker 6: children under the age of five two nassau county women
- 11:57Speaker 6: in their 30s were killed by an illegal migrant because
- 12:00Speaker 6: of your sanctuary policies will you apologize to that 14
- 12:06Speaker 6: year old girl whose life is forever changed and her
- 12:09Speaker 6: family and the families of those who are killed.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yeah a lot of great moments from bruce blakeman uh
- 12:15Speaker 2: everybody thought he won even when they do in the
- 12:17Speaker 2: uh Some news organization has put together a panel of
- 12:21Speaker 2: political analysts. Even they couldn't say Hochul won. There was
- 12:25Speaker 2: one out of 100 that actually said that. The Democratic strategist,
- 12:29Speaker 2: all they could say was, well, it was a tie.
- 12:31Speaker 2: That means Blakeman won.
- 12:33Speaker 5: You know, any crime is heartbreaking. There's a family left
- 12:40Speaker 5: with a huge hole in their heart. And I abhor
- 12:44Speaker 5: all crimes, regardless of the perpetrator.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that's about all she could do, make some kind
- 12:50Speaker 2: of little dramatic speech. But Blakeman was powerful throughout the debate.
- 13:01Speaker 6: I back law enforcement, and I back the laws of
- 13:04Speaker 6: both our federal government and our state government. And I
- 13:07Speaker 6: give our law enforcement professionals the tools they need to
- 13:10Speaker 6: keep us safe. But you say you spent $ 4 billion
- 13:13Speaker 6: on law enforcement. Well, you spent $ 8 billion on illegal
- 13:17Speaker 6: migrants and gave them more benefits than New Yorkers get.
- 13:21Speaker 6: How does that make any sense?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so those were the powerful moments. Now, unfortunately, it's
- 13:25Speaker 2: New York 1. Nobody in the world sees New York 1.
- 13:27Speaker 2: They've got a tiny, tiny, tiny audience. But hopefully the
- 13:31Speaker 2: social media, the clips on the news, hopefully that gets around.
- 13:35Speaker 5: I can't believe you just took credit.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Now, U.S. News and World Report does say Bruce Blakeman
- 13:41Speaker 2: has the safest county in America. Listen to her comeback.
- 13:43Speaker 5: I can't believe you just took credit for what the
- 13:46Speaker 5: Democratic predecessor in your county did.
- 13:48Speaker 6: Oh, she was the county executive in 2024?
- 13:50Speaker 5: It was under Laura Curran that the crime started going down.
- 13:57Speaker 5: They called Nassau County— Wasn't that during COVID?
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah, no. That's a pretty ridiculous argument. Brakeman's been in
- 14:03Speaker 2: office for about eight years. How long is it? Six years.
- 14:05Speaker 2: He's been six years. He's been the county executive claiming
- 14:10Speaker 2: it was the previous just insane.
- 14:13Speaker 6: Kathy, Donald Trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times. You did.
- 14:19Speaker 6: Donald Trump didn't increase our utility bills by 50 percent
- 14:24Speaker 6: since you become governor. You gave $ 150 back to people
- 14:29Speaker 6: in a rebate in an election year, right before the election,
- 14:33Speaker 6: when you've raised the average bill $ 4, 000 a year, and
- 14:37Speaker 6: your own energy research department says your policies will raise
- 14:42Speaker 6: it another $ 4, 000 in the next five years.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so she got hit pretty hard, just like that,
- 14:48Speaker 2: all night long. Anyway, we'll take some calls next. You
- 14:51Speaker 2: want to let me know what you thought about it
- 14:53Speaker 2: or anything else? 1-800- 321-0710 is the number.
- 14:57Speaker 7: 1-800-321-0710.
- 14:57Speaker 2: It's the Mark Simone Show on 710WOR. Hey, let's take
- 14:59Speaker 2: some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go to Frank
- 15:02Speaker 2: in Huntington. Frank, how you doing? Hey, Mark. Good morning. Hey,
- 15:05Speaker 2: hold it down. People are sleeping here. Mark, I love
- 15:12Speaker 2: your show.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 15:25Speaker 7: Mark, for the whole week, everyone has been saying you
- 15:29Speaker 7: can watch the debate on Channel 1.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:32Speaker 8: I told all my friends and family to watch Channel 1.
- 15:36Speaker 8: I put on Channel 1.
- 15:37Speaker 2: It wasn't on.
- 15:38Speaker 3: I couldn't find it.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Well, you live out in Huntington. You got that horrible
- 15:42Speaker 2: cable service Optimum, right?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Right, exactly.
- 15:46Speaker 2: It was on Channel 64.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 8: So I went to Channel 64, but you have to
- 15:51Speaker 8: have a special program called.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's why she wanted to do it on
- 15:57Speaker 2: New York One, because nobody has New York One. Nobody
- 15:59Speaker 2: sees New York One. It has 12 viewers. What a shame.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I really wanted to watch it.
- 16:03Speaker 2: You can watch it. It's up on YouTube. Go watch
- 16:05Speaker 2: it on YouTube.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Oh, that's great, Mark.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I really enjoyed the extra hour.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Thanks. Everybody can watch the debate. It's up on YouTube.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Just go to YouTube. You can see the whole thing.
- 16:15Speaker 2: It's only one hour, but you can watch it on YouTube.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how are you doing?
- 16:21Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark.
- 16:22Speaker 7: How are you doing?
- 16:22Speaker 2: Good.
- 16:23Speaker 7: I have a favor to ask. In the next couple
- 16:26Speaker 7: of weeks, well, in the next two weeks or so,
- 16:28Speaker 7: when you have financial people on, could you ask them, like,
- 16:31Speaker 7: what's the best strategy if the Democrats do take over
- 16:35Speaker 7: as far as the stock market? Like, what stocks might
- 16:37Speaker 7: go up? What stocks to sell? How it's going to
- 16:39Speaker 7: affect us? I'm not saying that we're going to lose,
- 16:42Speaker 7: but I'm saying if you could just get some people
- 16:44Speaker 7: to tell us how to handle the fact that the
- 16:47Speaker 7: House might go.
- 16:49Speaker 2: First of all... Those guys never know what stocks to buy.
- 16:52Speaker 2: When you ask them, they're always wrong. Except for, you
- 16:56Speaker 2: know what, you want to know, ask Charles Payne. Watch
- 16:58Speaker 2: Charles Payne. He always gets it right. But the great economists,
- 17:03Speaker 2: the great financial experts, they never know what stocks to buy.
- 17:06Speaker 1: But the oil.
- 17:07Speaker 7: Stocks now are on a tear. But if the Democrats
- 17:11Speaker 7: come in, won't that turn, I mean, their plan is
- 17:14Speaker 7: to get rid of the oil. So won't that make
- 17:17Speaker 7: the oil price stocks go down?
- 17:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's kind of a no-brainer. Yeah, that's a no-brainer. But,
- 17:25Speaker 2: you know, you buy stock in the green energy companies.
- 17:28Speaker 2: First of all, Democrats always bring the stock market down
- 17:31Speaker 2: a little bit. Don't worry about it. Just, again, just
- 17:34Speaker 2: invest safely. Let's buy an S & P 500 fund.
- 17:37Speaker 7: All right, one more question. How can I get you
- 17:41Speaker 7: to unblock me on Twitter and Instagram?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Oh, you must have put up a bad comment.
- 17:46Speaker 7: You know, I saw you once at the cutting room
- 17:48Speaker 7: years and years ago. And I asked you, could you
- 17:52Speaker 7: please unblock me? This makes no sense. And you said,
- 17:54Speaker 7: I don't handle this. Who can I get in touch
- 17:56Speaker 7: with to do this for me?
- 17:58Speaker 2: If you got blocked, it's because you put up a
- 17:59Speaker 2: bad comment.
- 18:01Speaker 7: But find it. There was no bad comment.
- 18:03Speaker 2: No, there was.
- 18:03Speaker 7: I mean, I've been your fan for years.
- 18:05Speaker 2: There's no other way to block you except from a
- 18:08Speaker 2: bad comment.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Okay, how can I get unblocked?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Well, a bad comment could be that you said something
- 18:15Speaker 2: nasty about somebody that we had to block that. Or
- 18:17Speaker 2: it could be. It was a post about food or something,
- 18:20Speaker 2: and you put up something political, something inappropriate.
- 18:24Speaker 7: I don't know. I don't remember if I did that.
- 18:26Speaker 7: But what I'm saying is, who handles your account that
- 18:27Speaker 7: I could ask them to unblock me?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Nobody. If you don't remember doing it, if you can't
- 18:33Speaker 2: acknowledge the problem, there's no way to solve it then.
- 18:36Speaker 7: But, like, you were at the cutting room, like, 12,
- 18:37Speaker 7: 14 years ago, right? It was a while ago. I
- 18:39Speaker 7: won a contest. And that was one of the prizes,
- 18:41Speaker 7: to go see you at the cutting room.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 2: And the loser had to go see me twice.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay, anyway, take care.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Bye-bye. Let's go to George in Long Island. George, how
- 18:54Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 18:55Speaker 7: Hi, Mark.
- 18:57Speaker 8: You said everything correct. The problem is not many people
- 19:00Speaker 8: watched it. I don't know if the statistics came out
- 19:03Speaker 8: on the show. And believe it or not, I have
- 19:05Speaker 8: an MBA. Tell all your audience, don't buy individual stocks.
- 19:10Speaker 8: Buy ETFs, like you said. S & P 500, and
- 19:13Speaker 8: they'll be safe. You shouldn't worry.
- 19:15Speaker 3: All right.
- 19:16Speaker 8: That's all I have to say.
- 19:17Speaker 3: All right.
- 19:17Speaker 8: But don't take advice from me either.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no. Don't take advice from any of these people.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Even the great economists, they never know what stocks to buy.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Let's go to Mike in Portchester. Mike, how are you doing? Mike,
- 19:32Speaker 2: are you there?
- 19:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 2: We didn't wake you, did we?
- 19:38Speaker 3: No, no, no. I had to step out of my car. Okay.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I called because that debate last night is typical. I mean,
- 19:49Speaker 3: she's saying... and blaming President Trump. In the meantime, she
- 19:54Speaker 3: created this fiasco of a state that doesn't prosecute these people.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Cuomo, Hochul. No bail, no jail. Let all
- 20:09Speaker 2: the criminals loose. They want to close prisons. Let everybody out.
- 20:12Speaker 2: ICE is coming in here to arrest criminals only. They're
- 20:16Speaker 2: not arresting legitimate citizens. They're arresting illegals who have specifically
- 20:20Speaker 2: committed crimes and are actual criminals. They're taking them out
- 20:24Speaker 2: of New York, taking them off the streets. It's the
- 20:27Speaker 2: reason the crime rate is dropping. And she wants to
- 20:29Speaker 2: stop that. So when it comes to crime, it's a no-brainer, obviously, Blakeman.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Let's go to Dave in Staten Island. Dave, how you doing?
- 20:39Speaker 3: Hi, Mark.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Just a comment.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Uh, Bruce needs to make Kathy publicly define the words
- 20:47Speaker 3: outward migration. And once she defines those words, he.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Needs to, that's why they don't hire you. That's why
- 20:53Speaker 2: they don't hire you as a debate coach, outward migration. Nobody,
- 20:57Speaker 2: it's a term that doesn't register with anybody. He said
- 21:00Speaker 2: that in the debate a couple of times, everybody's leaving.
- 21:02Speaker 2: People are moving out. Uh, That's how you know when
- 21:06Speaker 2: you're doing well. We're actually number one in people leaving
- 21:10Speaker 2: the state. Leaving. Cuomo started that, too. Remember, Cuomo was
- 21:16Speaker 2: so bad as governor. There was a period of a
- 21:18Speaker 2: year and a half where you couldn't get a moving van.
- 21:20Speaker 2: You couldn't get a moving company. They were all tied
- 21:22Speaker 2: up with so many people fleeing New York. Let's go
- 21:25Speaker 2: to Bill in Idaho. Bill, how are you doing?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, how are you?
- 21:31Speaker 9: I worked in the New York 210 census and the
- 21:35Speaker 9: 220 COVID census. And for that one, the second one,
- 21:39Speaker 9: no one counted anything. The offices were usually mostly closed.
- 21:43Speaker 9: And then the feds ruled that they overcounted by 625,000 people,
- 21:47Speaker 9: which should have cost New York two seats. But New
- 21:53Speaker 9: York just said, screw that, we're only eliminating one seat.
- 21:57Speaker 9: Why aren't the Republicans all over that?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Well, because it may not be true. Who knows? We're
- 22:03Speaker 2: taking your word for it. But, yeah, the census, it's
- 22:07Speaker 2: usually a mess. They count illegals. They count everything in there.
- 22:10Speaker 2: You know, the other problem, when you lose all these people,
- 22:13Speaker 2: you lose congressional seats. Under Cuomo, we lost two or
- 22:15Speaker 2: three congressional seats because so many people left the state. Hey,
- 22:20Speaker 2: speaking of great economists, we've got one coming up next.
- 22:22Speaker 2: We'll talk to Steve Moore, who we hope, coming up
- 22:25Speaker 2: next on 710WOR. Welcome back to The Mark Simone Show.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Well, Steve Moore, the
- 22:38Speaker 2: brilliant economist, and you should get his latest book, The
- 22:41Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle. It's an excellent book. You'll learn a lot. Hey, also,
- 22:46Speaker 2: you should sign up for his daily briefings. The Committee
- 22:49Speaker 2: to Unleash Prosperity puts out the best news and analysis
- 22:53Speaker 2: every day. It's free. It'll come right to your email.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Go to UnleashProsperity.com and sign up. UnleashProsperity.com. Steve Moore, how
- 23:02Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 23:03Speaker 1: Well, I'm doing well. We got the latest just about
- 23:08Speaker 1: an hour ago. We got the latest numbers on inflation,
- 23:10Speaker 1: you may have seen. The number creeped up just a
- 23:14Speaker 1: tiny bit, but we're... We're at the 3.5% range on inflation,
- 23:19Speaker 1: which is too high, obviously.
- 23:21Speaker 7: But you know what the.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Inflation rate was four years ago when Biden was president?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Zero?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Nine.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Nine percent. And, you know, I understand people are angry
- 23:36Speaker 1: about it. your grocery prices and and uh filling up
- 23:39Speaker 1: your tank i am too but you know when i
- 23:42Speaker 1: was a kid and i don't know maybe you're about
- 23:44Speaker 1: the same age that i am but i remember we
- 23:46Speaker 1: had nine ten eleven percent inflation under jimmy carter so
- 23:50Speaker 1: you know um that's real inflation.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Now uh in those days the carter days didn't they
- 23:58Speaker 2: include uh energy costs in that back then and we
- 24:01Speaker 2: don't do it now.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm not so sure how they you're quite right. They've
- 24:07Speaker 1: made some changes in the way they calculate things but
- 24:11Speaker 1: back then I mean I remember like was yesterday because
- 24:14Speaker 1: I was like a teenager and And literally, every time
- 24:16Speaker 1: you go to the store, everything was more expensive. And literally,
- 24:19Speaker 1: they'd have people. Remember, that was back in the days
- 24:22Speaker 1: before they had all the barcodes. They would put those
- 24:25Speaker 1: sticker machines. They put the sticker prices on them. And
- 24:28Speaker 1: the joke was you'd try to grab the merchandise before
- 24:31Speaker 1: they could put a higher sticker on the stuff. So,
- 24:34Speaker 1: you know, inflation was raging out of control, and that
- 24:38Speaker 1: ruined the economy. So what is driving the inflation? I
- 24:42Speaker 1: just want to make sure your listeners, and I think
- 24:44Speaker 1: they do understand this. It's really one factor. It's oil prices.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And so if we can get those oil prices and
- 24:51Speaker 1: the diesel prices down, that will drive down the cost
- 24:54Speaker 1: of everything. I think that's going to happen in the
- 24:56Speaker 1: next couple of months. I don't know if it's going
- 24:57Speaker 1: to happen fast enough to save the Republicans, but that's
- 25:00Speaker 1: where we are right now. But all the other indicators, Mark,
- 25:04Speaker 1: on the economy are very strong. I mean, you've got,
- 25:07Speaker 1: you know, construction jobs. You've got manufacturing jobs. You've got
- 25:11Speaker 1: record low number of people on unemployment benefits. You've got...
- 25:15Speaker 1: The poverty rate is the lowest it's ever been. So overall,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I give this economy. I know Trump says, hey, plus, plus, plus. No,
- 25:24Speaker 1: I'd say it's a B-plus economy.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, the problem is the media, and they did
- 25:28Speaker 2: this once before. They did it when Clinton and Bush
- 25:31Speaker 2: were running against each other. CBS News every night had
- 25:35Speaker 2: a feature called Economy in Crisis. Right, right, right. So
- 25:38Speaker 2: they're doing that now. If you're just a guy who
- 25:40Speaker 2: works hard all day and you only got time to
- 25:42Speaker 2: watch the news at 630, They've convinced you the economy
- 25:45Speaker 2: is in total crisis. Well, what can be done?
- 25:48Speaker 1: Are you saying that the media doesn't like Donald Trump?
- 25:51Speaker 8: Come on.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:52Speaker 1: But it is true. I mean, there's a study that
- 25:54Speaker 1: was done by my friends at the Media Research Center.
- 25:57Speaker 1: They found that in 2025, and by the way, 2025
- 26:01Speaker 1: was a real booming year for the economy. Yeah. 92%
- 26:06Speaker 1: of the news stories on the economy were negative.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 10: Even though we had a booming economy.
- 26:12Speaker 1: So right now it's probably 98%. Yeah, but it works.
- 26:16Speaker 2: You know, you talk to the average person who's not
- 26:17Speaker 2: following things too closely. You go, wow, it's an economy
- 26:20Speaker 2: like this. I don't know how he's going to move himself.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Are you drinking something?
- 26:25Speaker 1: The other point I wanted to make you, Mark, this morning,
- 26:27Speaker 1: because I know you read our hotline every morning. I
- 26:29Speaker 1: hope people do get it.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Just go to UnleashedCustody.com.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Oh, it's great.
- 26:32Speaker 3: It's free.
- 26:33Speaker 1: So do you know what color the 10 states with
- 26:36Speaker 1: the highest cost.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Of living are?
- 26:38Speaker 2: Blue!
- 26:39Speaker 10: Yeah, they're Democrat states. They're New York, New Jersey, California.
- 26:43Speaker 10: In California, I know you're there in the New York
- 26:46Speaker 10: City area. In California, they're paying well over $ 6 a
- 26:50Speaker 10: gallon for gas because they put so many regulations and
- 26:54Speaker 10: taxes on. They're paying $ 1. 50 more a gallon for gas
- 26:58Speaker 10: than people pay in Nebraska.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Wow. So let's just say, God forbid, the Democrats win
- 27:04Speaker 2: in November.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 27:06Speaker 2: What happens to the United States? What happens to the economy?
- 27:09Speaker 2: What happens to the stock market?
- 27:11Speaker 1: Well, listen, we've got a resilient economy and Trump will
- 27:13Speaker 1: have a veto power. Let's say the worst case scenario
- 27:16Speaker 1: for Republicans, if they lose the House and Senate, you know,
- 27:20Speaker 1: Trump will have to play defense and stop these crazy
- 27:23Speaker 1: ideas of adopting socialism and massive tax increases and So,
- 27:30Speaker 1: you know, he's going to be, you know, and the
- 27:32Speaker 1: stuff that he's going to be able to do will
- 27:34Speaker 1: have to, most of it will have to be done through,
- 27:36Speaker 1: you know, executive orders because I don't see, you know, a,
- 27:40Speaker 1: you know, a party headed by AOC and El Sayed
- 27:45Speaker 1: do it much to help Trump grow the economy. Do you?
- 27:48Speaker 2: No, but how will they handle the impeachments? Will it
- 27:52Speaker 2: be one a month, one a week?
- 27:53Speaker 1: How are they going to do that? They won't be
- 27:56Speaker 1: able to restrain themselves. And, you know, we saw two
- 28:01Speaker 1: or three bogus impeachments. Remember the Russia collusion hoax, by
- 28:04Speaker 1: the way?
- 28:04Speaker 2: Yeah, of course.
- 28:06Speaker 1: They spent an entire year and a half on CNN
- 28:09Speaker 1: and MSNBC talking about that every night. And the whole thing, Paul,
- 28:12Speaker 1: turned out to be a complete hoax. So, yes, of
- 28:15Speaker 1: course they're going to try to impeach him. They're going
- 28:17Speaker 1: to go after the people in his administration. And I
- 28:21Speaker 1: think they'll probably overplay their hand on that, just as
- 28:24Speaker 1: Republicans did remember when they tried to impeach Clinton. for
- 28:28Speaker 1: the Monica Lewinsky scandal. So, you know, we'll see. But overall,
- 28:33Speaker 1: cheer up, folks, because this economy, yes, inflation is still
- 28:37Speaker 1: too high, but the jobs are out there. A lot
- 28:40Speaker 1: of the investment is coming in. The stock market's doing
- 28:43Speaker 1: really well. I'm a little nervous about the increase in
- 28:45Speaker 1: interest rates. That's something that's a little concerning, because if
- 28:48Speaker 1: interest rates go up, then the stock market usually comes
- 28:51Speaker 1: down a little bit.
- 28:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Hey, the big fear with AI, the original fear was
- 28:56Speaker 2: that it would put everybody out of work. That's not
- 28:58Speaker 2: been the case. Why is.
- 29:01Speaker 3: That?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Well, AI is pretty amazing. It's interesting because we will literally,
- 29:06Speaker 1: with AI, in the next 10, 15 years, have a
- 29:10Speaker 1: cure for cancer. They have new technology that's very nascent,
- 29:14Speaker 1: but just that literally blind people will.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Be able to see.
- 29:18Speaker 1: People will be able to rise out of their wheelchairs.
- 29:20Speaker 1: They'll have, how about this?
- 29:22Speaker 3: Think about this.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Mark, in 10 years' time, everybody might have their own
- 29:27Speaker 1: little robot that'll make your bed for you and will
- 29:30Speaker 1: make your coffee for you in the morning. I mean,
- 29:33Speaker 1: life is going to change a lot thanks to robotics
- 29:36Speaker 1: and AI. I know people are a little bit worried
- 29:38Speaker 1: about it. Look, it's think it's mostly positive, but people
- 29:42Speaker 1: are wondering what's this going to mean for my job
- 29:44Speaker 1: and so on. But, you know, the economic advantages and
- 29:47Speaker 1: the health benefits are going to be absolutely enormous. I'm
- 29:51Speaker 1: on the board of a company, you know, this that's
- 29:53Speaker 1: called a a light speed, and we build houses with robots.
- 29:57Speaker 1: So we'll be able to cut the cost of building
- 29:59Speaker 1: a home in half. And that means, you know, housing
- 30:03Speaker 1: will become much more affordable. You know, people will be
- 30:06Speaker 1: able to move into bigger and more luxurious homes. So
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm excited about this. But sometimes, you know, what drives
- 30:14Speaker 1: me crazy, Mark, these CEOs of these AI companies are
- 30:19Speaker 1: they're like their own worst enemies. Oh, it's going to
- 30:21Speaker 1: be doomsday.
- 30:22Speaker 3: I mean, who does that?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Who talks about, you know, the new product? Oh, you
- 30:25Speaker 1: don't want to buy this because it's going to be doomsday.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Hey, when you say this company is going to build
- 30:31Speaker 2: homes with robots, what do you mean? The robot will
- 30:33Speaker 2: actually have a hammer and be hammering a nail in?
- 30:35Speaker 1: It's amazing. You should go, you and your listeners, go
- 30:38Speaker 1: to lightspeed.com and you'll see, we have, you know, video
- 30:43Speaker 1: of these robots and, And yes, they screw in the screws.
- 30:47Speaker 1: They pound in the boards. Now, right now, they can
- 30:50Speaker 1: only do the outside structure of the home. But the
- 30:55Speaker 1: thing that's so amazing, Mark, is just every month that
- 30:59Speaker 1: goes by, these robots get better and better and better
- 31:02Speaker 1: at it. So yeah, within five years, they'll be able
- 31:04Speaker 1: to build practically the whole house.
- 31:07Speaker 7: Wow.
- 31:08Speaker 2: So that's going to put a lot of construction workers
- 31:12Speaker 2: out of work. Well, that's right.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I mean, so people, the way we work and the
- 31:17Speaker 1: kinds of jobs we do will change. A lot of
- 31:20Speaker 1: the menial jobs, like somebody pounding a nail into a
- 31:25Speaker 1: piece of wood, that kind of menial work of carrying huge...
- 31:29Speaker 1: I remember when I was a kid and my parents
- 31:33Speaker 1: would take me to some of these factories. I mean,
- 31:35Speaker 1: those were sweatshops for people. That was tough work. People
- 31:39Speaker 1: carrying these huge.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Pieces of equipment and so on. A lot of that
- 31:45Speaker 1: will be done through machines and robots, but that means,
- 31:49Speaker 1: you know, you're not going to have that back-breaking kind
- 31:51Speaker 1: of work that people used to do, and work will
- 31:54Speaker 1: be actually more based and more fun. We'll have more
- 31:59Speaker 1: radio talk show hosts.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, a robot will be sitting here. You know, anytime
- 32:04Speaker 2: you had a new technology that put people out of work,
- 32:06Speaker 2: whether it was the industrial revolution, the digital revolution, It's
- 32:10Speaker 2: just a matter of a couple of years before everything
- 32:12Speaker 2: corrects and people find new jobs. That's right.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I mean, the most famous example of that, you know what?
- 32:17Speaker 1: The invention probably led to the most, put the most
- 32:21Speaker 1: people out of work temporarily.
- 32:23Speaker 3: It was the farm tractor.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Because when the farm tractor came, all of a sudden,
- 32:27Speaker 1: you know, it used to be half of our workforce
- 32:28Speaker 1: was growing food. You know, now it's 2%. And that
- 32:32Speaker 1: means the rest of us have more food than ever before.
- 32:35Speaker 1: And we get to do, we don't have to pick
- 32:36Speaker 1: fruits and vegetables all day.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Wow.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Very interesting. All right. Well, Steve Moore, great talking to you.

- 33:00Speaker 1: Thank you, Mark. Have a great week. Take care.
- 33:02Speaker 2: All right. Take care. Hey, we got a lot to
- 33:04Speaker 2: get to. You know, three hours now. I'm here three
- 33:07Speaker 2: hours every day, nine to noon. Start at nine o'clock,
- 33:11Speaker 2: nine to noon every day. And then at noon, you
- 33:13Speaker 2: got Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. Big show. Two hosts
- 33:18Speaker 2: for the price of one. Three o'clock, you got the
- 33:20Speaker 2: most listened to, single most popular radio show in America,
- 33:24Speaker 2: Sean Hannity. You got Jesse Kelly at six. You got
- 33:27Speaker 2: the very funny Jimmy Fallon. He's on every night, nine
- 33:31Speaker 2: to midnight on 710WOR.
- 33:35Speaker 3: The Mark Simone Show, now 9 till noon.
- 33:38Speaker 5: Weekdays on 710WOR.
- 33:40Speaker 2: It's going to be warm today, about 78 degrees. And
- 33:46Speaker 2: then a chance for a little shower coming through in
- 33:48Speaker 2: the next hour or two. But otherwise, a really nice day.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Tomorrow's supposed to be 65 and sunny. Rain on Friday.
- 33:58Speaker 2: And then the weekend, bright sunshine. but only in the 50s.
- 34:03Speaker 2: That's the high, the 50s. It'll be the first real crisp,
- 34:07Speaker 2: cool fall weekend this Saturday and Sunday. We got a
