- 1:05I will not rest until I'm helping hundreds and thousands
- 1:08of millions of people on the autism spectrum complete goals,
- 1:11achieve tasks and really get to awesomeness by unlocking their
- 1:14true potential and making them amazing.

- 1:32upload 4 videos every single day on those.
- 1:34OK, so guys, occupational therapy and autism.
- 1:37Very interesting. I didn't have occupational
- 1:39therapy until I was 32 years old.
- 1:42Oh my goodness, I went all my life without occupational
- 1:45therapy, right? And I didn't really know about
- 1:46it. I was doing a talk for an autism
- 1:48conference in Wales and it was a really big autism talk, a big
- 1:51autism conference. And when I was there I bumped
- 1:54into some occupational therapists who worked for the
- 1:57Welsh Autism Association, and they were amazing and they
- 1:59offered me a session. I said okay, cool.
- 2:01So I went to their offices and it was all to do with
- 2:04proprioception and the sensory diet because autism comes with
- 2:07sensory processing disorder right?
- 2:08With everyone knows. Oh and FYI guys, if you want
- 2:11your hands on my free Autism Wifax PDF book, the link is
- 2:14description down below or you can just go to autismhacks.net
- 2:17and download your copyright now. So with this occupational
- 2:20therapy, I didn't know what to expect.
- 2:21Now I went in there and I was mind blown.
- 2:24What an occupational therapist does is they look at the section
- 2:27of your condition that you need most help with and they will
- 2:30help you with strategies in that just one place of that
- 2:33condition. So for me it was appropriate
- 2:35second, like I could open a door but not open it wide enough to
- 2:38go through because I wasn't sharing my spatial awareness.
- 2:40And this was all to do with deep muscle activation.
- 2:42I couldn't, I wasn't activating my muscles.
- 2:44So they gave me the sensory diet to do, which I put into one of
- 2:47my courses, which is the Autism Acceleration Academy.
- 2:49I will leave a link for that down below if you're interested
- 2:52in checking that out. And in that course, I go through
- 2:55the sensory diet and it's kind of one of the main focuses of it
- 2:58because it's kind of like deep muscle activation so that you
- 3:01can understand your spatial awareness.
- 3:02And it's crazy how doing muscle activation exercises help
- 3:07increase your spatial awareness and lower the negative impact of
- 3:11sensory processing disorder. Now.
- 3:13For me, occupational therapy was life changing.
- 3:15I know a lot of people have issues with therapists and
- 3:18things like that, but I'd highly recommend speaking to an
- 3:20occupational therapist If you have insurance that covers it
- 3:23all. You have access to it with your
- 3:24healthcare system in the country that you live in.
- 3:26I know here I had it with the NHS here, which is our National
- 3:28Health Service, but you know, a lot of people don't have access
- 3:31to to occupational therapy. There is other therapies
- 3:34available. I think that counselling was the
- 3:36second best therapy that I ever had.
- 3:37Now, if you're interested in having a counselling therapy
- 3:39session, you can use the app down below called better help.
- 3:42I've used this. They link you up to somebody
- 3:44specific to you for like ADHD or autism within 24 to 48 hours.
- 3:48And you just use your phone like you can like talk to them on
- 3:51your iPhone. You can message them, you can
- 3:54video chat them. And it's amazing.
- 3:55So definitely check out. That's a health link will be
- 3:57down below. I really enjoy it.
- 3:59I think it's amazing. And yeah, if you think this
- 4:01video is helpful, please share it and leave me a comment.
