- 0:04[SPEAKER_02]: Hello, welcome to NNTV at a third podcast.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Conorway, that's Albert Brear.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_02]: We got my snow stuff on, a big day.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_02]: Got to finish up the Christmas lights before we leave town for Thanksgiving process that started Albert.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: Back on November 1.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a day after Halloween guy because you want to maximize not only the effort that you're putting in, but the weather.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to avoid exactly what I'm about to do, which is to go freeze my nads off and finish up this whole ornate display of blowups and everything like that.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: But the one favor that I did do myself this year, permanent Christmas lights.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: So you actually screw them into the soffit of your roof.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: And then, you know, you can make them black and orange for Halloween.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: You can make them red and green for Christmas.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: And you can make them pink and blue for Easter.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then you can just make them like nice summer, like outside lights in the summer.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: And so it's a one-shot deal.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: You hide them so you don't see them anywhere.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just going to make me more efficient.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's what this is all about, you know?
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I, I'm not going to Christmas lights.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have Christmas lights because we're so far off that we're off the street we have a long drive way and like we're back up off the street.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so and like one thing that I've got a huge beef with that I lost a fight over with with Emily we have a fake Christmas tree which really bothers me still bugs me and I am a real Christmas tree guy.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is that with the dogs.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: The real Christmas tree causes a problem, and the cleanup is a pan in the app.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: Where they pee on it.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Huh, I don't think we ever got to that point, but she was, I think maybe it happened once like when they when when our older dog was younger, but anyway, so I basically let that let her on the show and all this stuff and now I haven't like done the Clark, Chris wall thing where I'm climbing on the roof and all that like I and we are very much like a
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: We she's Emily's very disciplined she decorates for Halloween everything's down November 1st She won't put anything up until after Thanksgiving, but it'll go up really quickly after Thanksgiving and then it'll come down Everything will come down really quickly after Christmas So we don't have things like lingering in the house until new years where she's like almost like militarists think about that
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: I respect that.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I have nothing to do with any of it.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I just can't believe you don't get on the grind.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: I just can't believe you don't throw up a couple likes.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's not for you.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's you know.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's not, it's not about just for the kids.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we should.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we show up a couple.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not like, I'm not like against doing that.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like I actually think.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't mind doing stuff out in the yard now because it's like, I used to not like it, but like now it's like a chance to like, you know, I can throw my AirPods in and listen to a podcast like this one, you know, and just kind of happens to be too quiet for a little while you know what I mean.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: How miserable would you be breaking the leaves just listening to us talk about listen.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, listen to yourself talk about football, be like, oh, that was a bad point.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: I made other charges.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just firing off what you do or it takes, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: And so she was very much a, she did not want colored lights anywhere.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: It was only the, because she thought it was tacky.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: And they are, again, like, maybe this is why, maybe this is one of the reasons why I married Emily is because my mom also was very, very, I would say, setting her ways about Christmas and the way you decorate for it and all that.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a right of passage, like I do think that there's something about hanging your ass off a ladder, you know, with the screwdriver in your hand, trying to jam something into the gutter and, you know, then the lights fall and then you get them up.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: There's been a couple of years where you get them up and then all of a sudden one of the lights falls off so the whole string goes out and then you got to take the whole thing back down again.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think that there's just something to that.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's like an exercise that you need to go through.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like some people like Aaron Rogers does Iowa ska.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: And that closes mine and resets him.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: I put up the Christmas lights and like it's so mad that you know, you end up throwing stuff at the car.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: And somehow that like is like a hard reset.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm like a better person afterwards.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think anybody has their process, you know?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: And my process is letting somebody else handle it.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not doing it.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: We got a lot to get to today.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm curious to take on this, a lot of big games that happen and a lot of consequential games, we had some big injuries, we had two coordinators fired, which isn't sane.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: The giant's fired Shane Bowen and the Raiders fired Chip Kelly after just two god-awful performances collectively by both of those units.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll get to all that.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I want to start with the thought that I had that kind of crystallized for me, Albert,
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: after the chiefs cults game and and we'll go there first.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: So the chiefs beat the cults and it was your classic down to the wire 2320 game and you could say what you want about the cults.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe some procedure almost takes there.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a couple of play calls to chain bow and or a chain strike and would like to have back.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: When this whole thing was unfolding and I wrote about this and you wrote about the chiefs as well.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: My thought kept going back to this is this is exactly how the NFL wants it to go and I'm not a conspiracy theorist okay, but like the chiefs came into this game the second best offense in terms of EPA and the league and like 12 in defense right but a good team like a top 18 with a bad record but if you look at the chiefs, if you look at the ravens, if you look at the Texans, if you look at a bunch of other teams that were we knew we're going to be good going
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: they were just assaulted with games at the beginning of the season every single game was a prime time game against a premium opponent and what do we do we start ignoring the nuances of the schedule and we start saying what's wrong the chief's dynasty's over it's ending
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: And then up here they come and what it also does Albert is it creates teams like the cults who started the season like a house on fire, but also played the Titans twice and the dolphins and a bunch of really teams that we knew were going to be bad right and I'm I'm wondering if this new feature incidentally.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: is like it's just an additional win for the league where it's like if you pacify the broadcast partners and the broadcast partners just want good games at the beginning of the season while all the players are healthy right they want as many stars in big slots as possible while these guys are still playing okay and if the NFL continues to operate this way
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of brilliant because you take all the good teams and you push them down a peg and then you take all the mediocre teams and you lift them up to the point where we're sitting here believing that something drastic and unfathomable has changed like the changing of the guard the NFL and then you get to week 13 you're like, oh shit, the chiefs are good.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I have to admit, I was taken for a little bit of a ride this year.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, Sunday's game then changed a lot for me, though, because the, the colds through everything at Kansas City and Kansas City won.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: It was the perfect matchup for Indianapolis and Kansas City still got away with the win.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I, I think like,
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: I, you know, I don't want to be corny about it.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: I got accused of like echoing Tony Romo, which I don't have the audio.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't One thing is like people ask me about being a deco Tom Brady.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: He said some weird stuff.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, I really don't hear any of it though because like I'm I'm so
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, just to give people an idea of my setup, I got two screens right in front of me right here.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: I've got a sidecar screen to my computer, and I've got all these different games on, and I'm just trying to to digest as much of it as I possibly can, and so I'm not listening to any of the announcers.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I couldn't tell you who's great and who's not.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I've got a better idea of, you know, the prime time games, or the prime time teams, because like, you're those are standalone games,
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, I got accused of, I guess, echoing Tony Rowland, but I think it really was, like, an sounds corny, but I think it really was a heart of a champion game.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there was a point in that game where it looked like it was over.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, when they're down 20 to nine, you know, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm near the goal line.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, okay, that's it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's just maybe this isn't the chief seeer.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you could hear the narrative starting.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and so, like, after that fun, we'll hear the numbers.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I looked this up as part of my story, so everybody can check out on the website.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: They outgained the Coles 231 to 18.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: They averaged 5.9 yards per play on their 39 plays and held the Coles to 1.5 yards on their 11 plays.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: They held the defense, held the chiefs without a first down over the final 23 minutes of the game, and over the same period the chiefs turned out 13 first downs and had scoring drives of 56, 87 and 81 yards.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I, like, there's nothing fluky about that.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's not like a couple balls bouncing your way.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's basically gathering everything you have, knowing your seasons on the line and putting your foot in the ground and going.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I, I'm so impressed by that.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I still think,
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: I still think we haven't seen the best of this team like we started to see Rashi Rice last night right we start to see who he can be and who and why they've stuck with him the way that they have.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think we saw a little bit more from Bershard Smith the rookie we saw a little bit more from Xavier were the I think Josh Simmons is going to become a really good player for them at left tackle.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I think.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: What I love that tells you, what you ought, what I think we dismiss with these teams, when they're wearing the middle of the season, everybody needs to take on a Monday or Tuesday, is that four teams that are in this position that know they're going to be in there in the end, the season is like an evolving thing for them.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going out to prove anything, they're not going out to establish anything, they're going out to figure out what the best mix of their players are, what their strengths and weaknesses are,
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: in December and January, so when they get to the playoffs, they really have a good idea of what their identity is, what they need to lean into.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the Chiefs are figuring that out now.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think it's a heart of a champion game for them.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a, I think it's a figuring out who they are game for them.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to be really interested.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that game
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: That way, yeah, okay, my Thanksgiving has just became really, really interesting.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't even think it's like, I'll go a step further than you.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's that this team is figuring it out.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think this team was already really good, and it just took us a while to realize, look at their schedule from the beginning of the year.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_02]: Chargers in Brazil, full strength chargers in Brazil.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: then the eagles, okay, then the giants.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: But then the ravens, the jaguars, the lions, the raiders, the commanders, the bills, the broncos, the cults.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like the NFL takes like five or six teams a year and just puts them through an absolute grinder.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for the series.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, yeah, you could say you put it however you want it, but, but there's a why, right?
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: And that's that all the networks want their hands on my homes, you know, before he gets Yeah, and, and, you know, you worry about a player getting hurt, you know, especially as the season wears on wear and tear, all that stuff, right?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: And so I thought about this last night because the cults, the cults had the absolute perfect Mahomes antidote game plan.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: They had two great man cover corners, so they had ward, they had sauce gardener who really shut them down for like three and a half quarters, okay?
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: You have a great active front and you have Latu who was so good as a spy in that game and didn't allow Mahomes to rush.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: You have all this stuff combined.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: and Kansas City still wins because they break them down at the end with these two really long drives.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: Warden's Saskarner just become exhausted and then finally Rashi Rice breaks out.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: But that to me shows like I don't think there are very many teams Albert that are going to play them.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: tougher than the Colts played Kansas City.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you look around, there's probably a what, like five or six defenses that are better than the Colts in the NFL right now.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, okay, is Kansas City the best team in the NFL?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: No, are they one of the three or four best teams in the NFL?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that once this thing levels out, like, cause look at the Colts schedule now.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: there's all it's all backloaded right and so we're going to change our mind about the colds over the over the they have Houston they have Jacksonville Seattle San Francisco Jacksonville Houston they might not make the playoffs like let's do this exercise really quick because you're right like people stripped context of it just look at records ignore injuries all that different stuff
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so let's just say for our arguments sake the chiefs get in as a wild card, which would mean that they're going on the road in the first round of the playoffs, okay?
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: And it's declared likely with Denver's record right now.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right, that does seem likely, okay.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: So they have and and I do think like you look at their schedule.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're at what six wins now.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: If they went on Thursday, that's seven.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting to at least ten, right?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: So they're going to, they'll be in.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just call the four division champions right now.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots, the Ravens, the Colts, and the Broncos, right?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: In a wildcard playoff game, would you pick them to hit the Patriots?
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: Would you pick them to beat the Colts?
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: Would you pick them to beat the Ravens?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Would you pick them to beat the Broncos?
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: No question.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why we're right back when we start here.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go as far Albert as to say that about another team and maybe not as aggressively.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: But I would say the same about the Texans the way that they're playing right now.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, oh, I mean, if the Texas, if the Texans can get 90% of what CJ Strahd was as a rookie.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: Look out, that defense is ridiculous.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like what that defense?
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: that defense made Josh Allen look like it was five years ago.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like the only team in my mind that is not schedule based.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: underperforming.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just straight up underperforming is the bills.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: The bills they don't have the injury excuse, but they kind of had the sunbelt portion of their schedule, okay?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: And they lost some games that they should not have lost.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you could really say that about any of these other
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: teams.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Houston's different because I think that there's a lot going on there, but Kansas City and Houston has like, I mean, like, let's remember with Houston too, like, if we're going to talk about context, they had a black hole at running back after Joe mixed and got hurt.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: So now they've been relying on a rookie there in Woody Marx.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: They had Nico Collins hurt early in the year.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: They started having to rely on rookies at receiver and
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: They have a rookie left tackle in Ariante, Ursary, and they have a rookie offensive coordinator in Nick Kaley.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, on paper,
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: That should be getting better, and I think it is getting better, even with Davis Mills in there, right?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Higgins is going to be a real weapon for them, you know?
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think Ursary has gotten better.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: We're left tackle is not the dumpster fire.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was, you know, earlier in the year.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's progress on offense where CJ comes in.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm really interested to see what CJ Strav looks like next week.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, burn two weeks.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, who do they have next week next week?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: They had a chiefs in two weeks.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: They have, I believe it's, ooh, they got a cults next week.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm really interested to see, because I think the Texans are going to Indianapolis and win that game.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry for messing up the schedule.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: Work for treating this as live.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: So that's live radio for you.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a big stop down.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know it's like, I made, you know, a great morning morning.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: I was up till three.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: I, I'm okay with going with making a slip up on the schedule or two.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: I can handle that.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: So whatever.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I won't, but the taxes are very dangerous because they have
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: because they're they're they're they're very young and a lot of key spots on offense.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they've got a defense so you can win a championship with.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I am and I just think it's one of those things that you you need to you need to pause and you need to at at that six and you know at that 12 week mark it's like what really has occurred to this point.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: during the season.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's a go.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: They're own five-month score games.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: It can't close up.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: But what is it that like every week is a goddamn slug fest?
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, it gets exhausting after a little while.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and here's the other thing with the chiefs too.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: They've played a record 19 playoff games over the last six years.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: They went the they're dealing with the 17 game schedule with champions of the past.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: We're not dealing with the amount of damage they've taken on like you said they've played every day of the week.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think over the last two years, right?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: The amount of damage that they've taken on, there's a there's a piece of that that I thinks the fact you're here to no doubt.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: Choosing work boots used to mean sacrificing comfort or durability if they felt good, they didn't last.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: And if they lasted, they wrecked your feet.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: Brunt thought that was BS, so they built tough boots that feel great from day one.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: No break-in, no sore feet, because people out there doing the real work shouldn't have to choose between comfort,
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: and durability.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Brunt sent me the Marin Boots guys, and not only do they look good, I mean I wear these things out on date night, I wear them sometimes to nice events or church or whatever on Sunday, but also they're just crushing it.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: When I'm outside fixing a stone wall in my yard, when I'm raking the leaves, when I'm putting up Christmas lights, they're sick.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: here and they're comfortable.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: I love everything about them.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: These are no doubt the most comfortable work boots I've ever worn and they're built to perform, whether you need waterproof, safety toe, soft toe, pull on or lace up.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: They have options that can handle whatever job site you're walking into.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: and Brunt stands behind what they make.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: You can wear them to work.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: And if they're not right for you, send them back.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know any of the brand doing that.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's a company that believes in their product.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: Brunt isn't just about workboos.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: They offer a full range of high-performance gear built for tough jobs, heavy duty workpants, weather-resistant jackets.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Brunt designs durable, reliable workwear,
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: to keep you protected and productive in any condition.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: Brent was tired of the workware brands out there cutting corners.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: You were too hard to be stuck in uncomfortable boots that don't hold up.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: So they built something better.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Boots that are insanely comfortable and built for any job site.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: And for a limited time, our listeners get $10 off at Brent.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: when you use code mmqb at checkout.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: Just head to bruntworkware.com and use that code mmqb and you're good to go.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: And after your order, you'll ask where you heard about brunt, do us a favor and tell them it was from this show.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: Just on the cold's front, I'll say this.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just don't
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: The Daniel Jones criticism is starting to mount and Shane Stike and took a lot of heat I think for taking the ball out of Jonathan Taylor's hands and he took heat to for taking the ball and overtime.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think taking the ball and overtime is the right move.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: Tony Romo does not.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: But I also think that I mean,
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: What's your quick 10 second Tony Romote?
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because that guy just seems lost to me.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and I know you weren't working with him.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I don't watch enough of Tony Romote.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea, because I don't watch enough of it.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't, like, I like this is with all due respects.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: I know how hard those jobs are.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: They are.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Jim Nassas and the Tony Romote's the world.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: I just, with the Sunday games, I can't tell you how good Tom Brady is or isn't.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: Tom Brady is right now.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Huh, Tom is on fire right now, although he had a slip up for the ages, uh, this week possibly.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: We'll have to.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: I wish.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, like, Connor, I wish I could sit back and watch the game that way.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's not the way my job works.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, like, unfortunately, like, I don't have a great sense for it.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think does a great job as Troy.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I really like Troy because I think I feel like Troy has gotten past that key point
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: not giving a crap about like what someone thinks and having no problem having a confrontation with somebody if somebody has a problem with something he says you know it's important yes and I think it's a key place to be where you know I think we even get there with reporters where you know you're as reporters where you get to a point where it's like I can be critical this person and not burn a bridge you know what I mean like that's a choice you know and so you know I but but for the most part like I have a hard time
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: really having a like some sort of like definitive take on on who the who the best guys on Sunday are on the afternoon windows had just don't get a chance to watch enough.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: There's a moment in that where like the chiefs were going to go for it on a big like fourth and three and Tony Ramos like I would go for it and Jim Nance is like oh yeah why and then he's just like and then he just starts like talking a little bit and then he just goes ah actually I wouldn't go for it and then the chiefs pun and then he goes actually you know what
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: what are you talking about or just sitting here like he is he's like me like he just doesn't shut up and I think that no one would ever want me to broadcast one of their NFL games but you know what I do still have some love in my art for Tony but Tony didn't like the coldstaking the the ball in overtime I love teams taking the ball in overtime I think you should take the ball in overtime every time but I think this is just they're realizing what they're up against
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: the Falcons put an awesome blueprint on tape against the Colts in Germany for how to really bother Daniel Jones.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: Every team has been using it since they're getting in his lap and he's making mistakes like he always did right when he got a lot of pressure with the giants.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's on the coaching staff to read just now.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: and maybe take some stuff off his plate and to just double down on the running game.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see if they're able to do that.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that to me is the key is like the best way to deal with pressure if you're, you know, the best way to deal with pressure is by, you know, it's through your running game.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that was what they were able to do, you know, in Germany against, against the Falcons was like they really leaned in on Jonathan Taylor at the end of that game, Jonathan Taylor took over, you know.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: And he's their best player.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a simple thing, but like,
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if you want to, if you want to get your quarterback in more second and six and third and two and and keep control of the game, so the score, you know, isn't a factor, the best way to do that is through your running game.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people don't want to hear that, you know, but it's the reality of it.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: And it's why I think like, I do think, you know, Jonathan Taylor is a real contender for, for most valuable player or football.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's a cults and look like I think there are, there are a couple guys who I'd put in that category.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: There are a couple guys I put in that category, you know, like that, I think if you're talking about non-quarter back MVP's, but Taylor, Taylor's been number one for me all year, he might not be any more after yesterday.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and we'll get to make that effort.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: You might not be the number one non-quarter back anymore for me.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Matthew's staffer will be my MVP.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think I did.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: I actually have a vote this year.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I would say, whoa.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right now I would have to, yeah.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: I would have to say, I've been thinking about this a lot.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think it's a responsibility, a big responsibility.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say, right now I would go staffer,
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: see I like I almost put Josh Allen in there by default you know what I mean like because I know how much he does for that team, but then he's had a couple of clunkers that maybe take him out of that mix.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jackson Smith and Jake Jackson Smith and Jake, but Christian McAfrey, that's the guy I look at.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jackson McAfrey is interesting too because McAfrey to me is like the one constant in San Francisco, like everything else has been blocks, you know, McAfrey and Trump Williams are the two constants.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I would vote enough.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: I would vote a good left tackle in the MVP race every year.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: I've done that and it's really bothered people who have done it.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't have a vote.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: But how do you know what?
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: I actually like, I'm with you on this.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go on a tangent here.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, but I'm with you on that.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think it's all the difference.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the charges.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, like it does, like,
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard people say that's not as big a deal, that that position is not as big a deal as it used to be, and I wholeheartedly disagree with that mind because I think if you look at it, the teams that have real offensive line issues do not, they're the ones that don't have a lot of tackle, and then we've seen other teams over the years, the Rams one what worth was there, the Niners with Trent Williams, like how many other linemen can you could
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right, but they have a great left tackle and so the rest falls into place, you know, I think the left tackle is important as it's ever been because if you have one, you could have a little bit less at the other four positions, you know, and so I, like I mean, like I think you could argue Trent Williams is the one person that the Niners can at least afford to lose.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, 200%.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, 200.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, there's their host, 100, you know?
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, who do you knock off to get the MVP book?
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: What was that?
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: What was that all about?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of those things where I never
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, maybe I have too much pride to ever ask for those sorts of things and somebody asked me like you don't have one and then somebody talks to somebody, talk to somebody and Rob Medai.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: I hope I'm pronounced your name right, Rob.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: But he's the guy who runs at the AP and he reached out to me last year and so yeah, I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think it's an important, I am going to take it like seriously because I think it almost makes me a little uncomfortable that guy's bonus money and stuff like that can be tied to these things, so I'm going to take it very, very seriously and I'm going to do what I always do which is try to call a million people to make sure that I have the all-proguard right, you know, that I have the all-prod defensive tackle right, so yeah.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: Um, lot, lot more to get into with this one, but we, we got to move on because there was three or four games this week and that we're just absolutely massive.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, another one was the Cowboys beating the Eagles 24 21 called that on our, our weekly staff picks.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I think anybody who watched that first match up, the way that that defensive line was so underman and the way that they played the Eagles.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: You will, you knew when they got Kenny Clark and Quinn and Williams and they upgraded the way that they did that they were going to be able to shut down this running game and they did now the manner in which this happened I did not expect 21 nothing Eagles at half and then 24 21 a Cowboys victory Albert you talk to you talk to shot he after this one what what's going on there
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Um, look like he made the comment and he like people poke fun of it.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: He made the comment that I want to have the best culture and I think in the history professional sports whatever it was right and I think it was just really his way of saying we're really going to prioritize the environment and the building and what people what the guys are coming in to work with every day all that.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think you saw it with the energy that that team was playing with right in the second half of that game just jumped off the screen.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you saw the the video of the guy on kick coverage Clark Elijah Clark.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think his name forgive me if I'm messing up the first name.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's Elijah Clark where he was the gunner and the Eagles cover guy.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was who is it was it?
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was Sidney Brown, right, um, the corner on their on their part return team, knocked this guy knocked him to the ground twice.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: And Elijah Clark still made it.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: Inside the 10 yards.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: It was incredible.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like you work.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: There's a clip worth it online.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's blasted and get knocked out twice and still makes it down the field that a full sprint to be able to to jar the ball loose.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's incredible.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think like, there's a little
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's weird because like you look at somebody like George Pickins, right, who had all kinds of issues in Pittsburgh, and like you always think like I always think of my head like I would never want to player that my Tom was willing to trade away.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right, like because he's so good at managing personalities and egos and all that different stuff that when he's done with somebody you just sort of feel like okay like.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like I'd probably be really careful about acquiring that guy, they're maximizing George Pickins.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a lot of it's because of the environment there, you know, it's just, you know, you see young players developing, you see the energy the team is playing with, you see they're down 21 and nothing, there's no quit.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, there's the storyline of just the the most awful, unspeakable tragedy that happened a couple of weeks ago there, that's way bigger than football, but
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: you know, like I do think that they've rallied around each other, um, I'm just so impressed.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the other thing is to, like, and I think you got to give Will McClay and the personal department credit for this is it does feel like they had a vision for replacing Micah Parsons, you know, and like I think maybe some people there, some people,
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, those guys in apology, because I look at like what, you think about like the Maddie or flu-steefense, right?
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: And when it was at its best, Indianapolis, it was built around a really disruptive defensive tackle into forest Buckner and another guy who could really make that happen to and grow over Stuart.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: And they went to a five-man front, you know, about a month ago, and they started playing more out of a five-man front, which for people don't know, it gives you a chance to get more interior defensive linemen on the field at once.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: And so they pay those a diggy zoo on the offseason.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: They trade for Kenny Clark as part of the Micah Parsons trade.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then they bring in quantum Williams.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: And on Monday night against the Raiders, they hit the quarterback 11 times.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: Nine of those 11 hits were from those three defensive tackles, which is an insane number.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Defensive tackles don't hit the quarterback at the same rate that defensive edge players or blitzers do.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: And so I just, I don't know, man, like I look at it like,
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the totality of it now, and they still have two first-round picks in April, and they've got like, now like a defensive front that maybe isn't quite what it was with Parsons there, but is really fits what Matt A. but Flucis is looking to do.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: The defense is no longer a weakness.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: And the offense looks explosive as all hell with, you know, George Pickins playing, and I don't, I still don't know if I'd pay him based on his history, but right now he looks like one of the best receivers in football and he's playing opposite the guy who happens to be better than him.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: See dealing them.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's a really good cowboys team right now, like I'm just talking about knocking for where they are.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, Conor, I know you're like kind of like rubbing your eyes right now and everything.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: No, you know what it is, it's a headache for me because when when you run your mouth for a living like I do, there are times where you write checks that your ass can't cash and I fear that I have done that with the Dallas Cowboys.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean over Sean coming back as huge for them and that's one that like I don't know he made plays yesterday Like it reminded me like holy crap.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is a freak show.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but player I know like just like and I knew that I knew like a 21 nothing so you know when you have your TV and so you know you have
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: You have a couple of different screens that I'm writing and, and, you know, and your Texans of people, and then you know when your TV shuts down due to inactivity because you haven't touched it in a while, which annoys you out of me.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: So it happened to have time to order whatever.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it happened at the halftime of the Cowboys Eagles game.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: And then one of my kids was running around with the remote.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: The baby loves the remote.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so she throws it in the play pen and then it just gets lost.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so I'm thinking to myself, I got to find that remote because the Cowboys are coming back in this game.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, I could feel it.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: And even the way that that game started, it just didn't feel like Dallas was completely out of it and that scares me.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: I can, I think two things can be true.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: the thought process and where Dallas landed with the whole micoparsan straight can still not make sense to you and it doesn't make sense to me and it might make sense to somebody else like so you cannot like that but you can appreciate what they're doing right now like some teams just get on a heater and then you upgraded the trade deadline and it just changes the complexion of the team and I think now that Dallas has a half decent
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, God, everything that Jerry Jones looked at and backed up and said is coming to fruition.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: And again, very frustrating for someone like me who spent the better part of the last three months, absolutely killing that guy, you know, I mean, I will what I will.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: What I would give them respect for to because this is not an easy thing to do right is you realize like I think they looked at it and they said that press got's making sixty c lambs making you know thirty four if we pay micah forty two forty three whatever it is
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like now we're looking at like really walking in on what we already have on the roster and where is that really gotten us?
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I know I can tell you for a fact in August, like those questions were being bounced around in that building, like
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: But if we stay the course on what we've already done, where is that going to take us?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: Or do we want to shake things up?
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: And there was some risk involved, of course, like they don't know they're getting Quinn and Williams.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like in the first week in November.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right, they don't know that.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like so they just have to have faith that at some point there's going to be some opportunity that's going to come along where they're going to feel good about the flexibility that they gave themselves.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, like what wound up happening is they got a star defensive lineman who may not be what Mike is, but isn't that far off, like half the price financially, they wind up with better draft picks in the wash like I. I don't know, I mean, it's like it's hard not to look at this and think like a lot of people.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not directed to you, Connor.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: It can be a lot of people look dumb for things that were said in August now, you know what I mean?
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because it does look like the flexibility that they afforded themselves by saying, by staying the course of the current setup, we may be damned to the same outcome and maybe we need to shake things up, giving themselves the flexibility to change the roster over and do some different things, really seems to have worked out.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: Not for me.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's all I'm saying.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: Um, on the flip side on the flip side of the Eagles are we now officially concerned.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, my answer is no, my answer is no like I get that we do this for a living and I have all the respect the Eagles are the best covered team in the NFL and I say that weekend and we got and I mean that.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not blaming this on the Philly media in large part, but like the weekly mellow drama there is exhausting.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's exhausting.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what it does?
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: It like the fact that AJ Brown makes it all the way to getting, you know, taken out a practice and he gets to talk to Jeffrey Loury.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: It empowers more receiver insanity around the NFL.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: And we're seeing it in ways that I don't remember where,
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: these guys will just say the craziest shit after games and I know this goes back to like even beyond kishan johnson like I know that I remember when kishan johnson's book came out and I was like whatever ten years old I remember that vividly and like all the coverage that that got but we're in a new golden age of receivers not understanding nuances of football and that they can't get 31 targets a game.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's insane to me and the fact that like now AJ Brown gets the ball and he rips it up in the first half and now Serianian but too low are getting bang for taking their foot off the gas and like oh like
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes this happens like you lose six times in a season.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I mean, that's not really good season I don't know, but I get it.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: You can't you have to analyze everything and you can sit here and say like okay Well, you win some you lose some.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that too, but like I I used to say that like you know in Boston When the red socks were a really big deal and they're not as much anymore, but like 20 years ago
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the red socks were clearly the number one team of Boston, even when the Patriots started winning sewer bowls, I remember saying to somebody, people here treat baseball games like their football games.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: In that, they would react off of a baseball game, like there were 16 of them instead of 162, you know?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: And it's almost like the Eagles do that, like you scale that
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: Every game is week 17 with a season of season right yeah, you know what I mean like every single week and that's a that's a pressure cooker to exist in Dax through for 354 yards, but how many of those plays were like spectacular plays by George Pickins or CD lamb I like it's not like guys were running free through the secondary right or I mean like
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: There were plays where Mitchell or Dijin or Makuba, like guys were right fricking there, and it was just, you know, the cowboys got on a heater there, and I was like, like I said, like I thought that was just a great football game all the way around, and to me, the thing to suck out about is you've got this Eagles team that's wildly physically talented.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: And here's what, here to me is like one of my biggest takeaway and how it's going to trans like going forward.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_00]: The cowboys looked as big as strong and as fast as he goes.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: And they did a week one too, in fairness to Dallas.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: Before they went through there, you know.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: So are we prisoner and the sound is what you all and cargo out there.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's true.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, this is spitting epidemic in the NFL and in college now.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: And did you see, because not it was Jamar Chase, he wasn't there for the Bangalors game Patriots game this weekend.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: to Colorado State players.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: I believe we're saying that if one like and they probably want to be in the Patriots, there's no funny.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then to Colorado State players were suspended for spitting over the weekend or was it one or two?
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see any of this.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know but two.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: So what happened was it like did they plan it out?
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: Was it like synchronized spitting or let me see Brian Fisher are college footballer boarder had it.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: All says this, you know, the people are right.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone shouted down my spitting take, Albert, and instead of spitting at someone, you should punch them in the face.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_02]: You should, or you should bring a weapon on the field, because that's far more honorable than spitting on someone.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: So that's that, you know?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the people have spoken.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody, nobody agrees with me.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen, Jalen Carter, Trend Center.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right, well, I can see other trainees said has this slow down.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you guys saw you saw, but more Georgia people got arrested for driving, you know, reckless fashion.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: People really get so something to do in that state.

- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean really quickly the Rams just decimated the buck in here is 34 to 7 and I think the link What's up
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: best team in football.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm what I'm ready to declare that the rant, the Los Angeles.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: You were on it.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: The whole time, do you this was your preseason Super Bowl pick?
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: You have to be feeling really good about it.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just think that like, I, I, I think there's, I don't know if there's anything they don't do well.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think the quarterback is the MVP of the league.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, like, what really, like, last week,
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't throw for 200 yards and they beat Seattle who's a really I think Seattle's a top five team in the league, you know, and they beat Seattle without staff or being Otherworldly, which tells me that team can play left handed like whatever fight you want to get into at the Rams the Rams can
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: the ramps will engage you know and I just look at the young defensive front Jared versus you know fantastic and the guys around them are too you know going out and getting McCreary I think will help the secondary long term like going and finding guys like this is what the ramps are really good at finding guys like Nate Landman you know what I mean like stuff like like they they just
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I mean, you get to the midpoint of the year.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like this is every year.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams, like, just have, I mean, over the years, it's guys like, I don't know, you know, like a John Johnson that's safe to your dearest William's a corner.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, they just seem to come up with this.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: second layer of players that really that really know how to play.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a I think it's a coaching staff where, you know, I think BigVay has it right where he wants it with his guys, Michael Flore, and Chris Schulis, the coordinators, they're firing on all cylinders and that game could have been 70 to nothing like they took their foot off the gas like that.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: That was like that was going in a really bad way for a bucket of years seem that it's really banged up but I think it's still pretty good.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: could have been the Notre Dame Syracuse Court to see the way, you know, and that was a tough one for me.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: That was a favorite team against my alma mater.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I never really rooted for Syracuse at least because I covered them all the time.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: But hold on.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody's I saw the funniest tweet about this, um, and but yeah, what was it that was there was 21 and I think before they had, they took an offensive snap, is that right?
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: And it was ended up being 70 to seven and just to see, uh, just it could have been where it definitely could have been worse.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just to see Notre Dame take care of a storied program like Syracuse.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: You don't see Ohio State dominate in teams like that.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's, I think we're peeking at the right time.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's all.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have Syracuse in the schedule either.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: We give rockers.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what is a rucker like we are so like the rockers game was one of the weirdest games I've ever watched are two star severs who are both going to be high first jump picks Jeremiah Smith and Cardinal play Tate didn't play one with a calf injury on the quad injury and like to kind of get them ready to play against to play against Michigan.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, like both, like one of the guys that started the game was a walk on from like the Columbus suburbs, he started it receiver for us.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just a really strange, I can all do respect to him.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's obviously a great story that is a senior on senior day, he's getting to start the game.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I can't remember seeing a college team treating games.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: The way they treated the last three games, like the controlled scrimmages, like their preseason games.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a it's been a very interesting interesting a few days.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to find this tweet Syracuse legitimately started a lacrosse player at quarterback.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: He was their fifth string quarterback.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: He was a true freshman in my god.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_02]: probably could have put up a 70 burger on a buck and years team that we all thought was maybe good enough to make the NFC championship game a couple of weeks ago.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: The offense is reaching a point of stagnancy.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think the defense is reaching a point of stagnancy.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not ready to say that the Carolina Panthers can come out here when the division.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I guess nothing would surprise me at this point, but, oh, here it is.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: This is from Jackie Locke, sorry.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is too good, Nettoshare.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: At Jack underscore bonfire on X, Notre Dame is acting like Syracuse personally killed Jesus.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: Gee, I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I can't believe I
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I still have a sense of humor of a 12 year old.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I apologize for that.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: That was, uh, I just, trying to find it.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: Home was worth it for you.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: It was very much so is this just a bad bucks team.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'll text, I'll, I'll text it to you just so you have it.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: Please do.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I mean, this is box team just bad or, or what?
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, let's, let's, they're being down.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like, they still, I mean, it's, look, like, you know, I think, again, this is another one of those contexts, is everything things, right?
- 50:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Mike Evans is out.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: They just got Chris Godwin back, but he doesn't look like he's like close to 100%.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_00]: They had the injuries in the offensive line earlier in the year.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're still not perfect there.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: Cody, Mark is still out.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and they just went toe to toe with
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: New England and Buffalo and those were tough physical games and it's again like kind of like a product the schedule you go up to Buffalo Go home then you go across the country to the Rams I think that's part of it, you know, I think part of it too is just the Rams are really freaking good Do you have a problem with Todd Bulls Having an injured baker may feel go out there and try to throw a Hail Mary before the half and then Baker just like crumbles to the ground
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I don't know.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: I always think with these things like what if Baker tell him, you know what I mean.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like I just like I just have a hard time seeing where Todd Bowles would put Baker in any sort of risk where I look like, you know,
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: In the flow of the action, a lot of times, it's up to the player to say something.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, for the most part, like the trainers, the doctors, with the way it is now, I'd say generally most of those people are trying to do the right thing, because it's the rational line if they mess with the health of a player.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I just think, you know, Baker's obviously a great competitor, and my guess would be like, you know, Baker, this is a sort of a product of Baker not wanting to come out of a game, and then you get in, you know, to to get into the locker on a halftime and you sort of realize, yeah, he shouldn't have been out there, you know, so I would, I my guess would be it'd be something more along those lines.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know what needs to, you know, it should the box switch something up.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, we see good, really, really good defensive coaches sometimes like and Mike Tomlin's defense was in a rut a couple of weeks ago.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: You move jail and Ramsey is safety and all of a sudden, you look good and you bounce back for a couple of weeks.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're averaging like,
- 52:19[SPEAKER_02]: 400 yards a game surrendered over the last three games and and that's sneaky of you know a big part of this two It's not just how banged up the offences, but they're going in another direction and we'll see what the God will see what the Panthers look like tonight because all of a sudden, you know that Defa, you know That division gets really interesting and I'm not ready to welcome Kirk Cousins back into the fold in the Falcons, but you know That's that's another thing that I mean Kirk is okay yesterday.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: He looked all right
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, my guy.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: There's just two games back now.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that divisions, that division is always weird.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it looks like it's really going to be weird down the stretch here.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: Although,
- 53:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look at the box schedule.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_00]: They have some room here to get well.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: Cardinals, Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Dolphins, Panthers.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: And those two games.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's all in front of the box.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're lost.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_00]: They're lost is where to the Lions, Patriots, Bills, and Rams over their last five games.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like they're out here like losing to, you know, below 500 teams.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: Now, let's skip over because, I mean, this Raiders game was of no consequence, really, but the Browns won 24 to 10.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: And it was Shader Sanders's first start, but there's a couple of big things that happened before we get to show our first of all, Miles Garrett with another four sacks, the Browns had 10.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to clip more, but hold on one second, I'm going to flip
- 53:52[SPEAKER_00]: put first take on one of my TVs here.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: So if there's a Kyron on up, here we go.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, it's Cam Newton in a funny hat with a Kyron.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: This is just randomly pulled up.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_00]: What did you do our Sanders?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh God, oh my stop it.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know what the crazy thing is about it though is we have like there's so much good football.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like this was like.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: All right, like we got to figure out something to talk about You know, it's not one of those Sundays.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: This is like there's a lot to chew on different.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_00]: This was in the lead Sunday.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and yeah.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: Lions game was really interesting.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_00]: The bears beat the stealers.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: They've got eight wins now, Vikings, Packers.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_00]: Where are the Vikings at?
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's a pretty good storyline.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs we talked about for 20 minutes here on the podcast, right?
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: The seahawks look like they're really good.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles, Cowboys, big brand names.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_00]: Huge showdown.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams are a great storyline.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I just randomly turn on the SPN.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_00]: And it's what did she do our Sanders prove on Sunday?
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, not a lot, which is, which is why we're not going to go there first because we have to acknowledge I couldn't, his, his interview with Tiffany with our friend Tiffany Blackman afterwards was really interesting to it was a good game when he said There was one after a game, too.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: Lord, I imagine what I could do with a full off season.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: He said I did this after one week of practice.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: First, let's get to the important stuff, Albert.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_02]: Miles Garrett.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: has a very, very legitimate chance he needs five sacks.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think in the next six weeks to break the single season sack record at a time where this is one of the worst browns offences in recent memory and this is the most never place with the lead.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think that that is one of the most phenomenal achievements, and puts him in the conversation as one of the five greatest defensive players in NFL history.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: If he accomplishes that feat during this season, this was a slaughter to the point where, I mean, Albert was so bad, and I watched this game knowing that I had to write about Shidorah Sanders.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: I've never seen an offense this ill prepared to face an elite defense and Chip Kelly was fired after the game because of this.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you had stone foresight one on one on an island with miles Garrett and let me just tell you something Albert like if you go back and you watch this and go back if you have NFL pro and I'm I'm trust me.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: I've never someone to show for NFL products.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: You should buy NFL Pro because you get the all 22 access and you get to clear certain matchups and so you can watch every miles Garrett pass rush Yeah, there was a point in this game out, but where it's just like Madden on rookie mode where you just go around the tackle right to the quarterback He just like yeah, we like Christopher Columbus and just circle him and then go right to the quarterback.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: It was it was embarrassing But
- 56:47[SPEAKER_02]: take nothing away from Miles Garrett who was beastly.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was glowing.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, you know, there was, there was a play.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: One of Miles Garrett Sachs, where, like, it,
- 56:59[SPEAKER_00]: It looked, it said the, I think it might be the worst I've ever seen a past refresher made an offensive tackle look.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_00]: It would a he ran right by him.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, oh my god, like this, this is like what should happen with like some five star recruit is playing like in like a small school league in high school.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: You're not mean like this is like,
- 57:22[SPEAKER_00]: this like this is like what Derek Henry and high school what I mean like and and to see him do it at this level it really is incredible and I mean God I hope that like at some point he's playing for a real contender and I hope it happens to Cleveland because Cleveland's a great football city and
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: Um, God, do they deserve, like, to have a winner at some point there, based on how important that team is that region to spite all the losing.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, I mean, Miles Garrison playing at another level.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_00]: We do need to talk about you, right?
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so what I did for my I'd write a column about Shador after the game and I put in like a little breaking news thing at the top of the column and I was like we interrupt your regularly scheduled Shador programming to just point out the fact that Fucking Miles Garrett is going to break the NFL sack record and this is unbelievable and he like I've never seen an offense look this decimated and ill prepared to handle it.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get to the Shador thing.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yes, Chip Kelly was fired.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anybody watching that game could think that there was a cohesive plan at the off on offense.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_02]: I love chip Kelly a big chip Kelly defender, but
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think this puts a lot of Tom Brady's early decisions out of the microscope, Albert.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: You miss, you swing a miss on Ben Johnson.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: You barely, you don't get him into the building, then you make the peak carol decision.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: He's on a short term.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_02]: You pay $6 million for Chip Kelly to lure him away from Ohio State.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe with the hopes that he one day takes over when peak carol or tires.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, now he's not even in the building anymore.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so, that this thing is a mess.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know if they know what they want at this point.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know, I mean, like, look, like I think that this, the roster was far away, and the roster was going to take time to read, and this was never gonna be a single-off season rebuild.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think that there's some push-and-pull there on P. Carroll who wants to win now, and whether his age is a factor in that or not, is a question that only he can answer, but I think there's obvious suspicion, natural suspicion that that's the case.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to take time for them to build that thing.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I think they've got good people in the front office now.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think John Spiteck was the right higher general manager.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody at the top right he was together with him, Tampa.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: So he had an additional knowledge on that one.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but I do think a lot of it was like,
- 59:52[SPEAKER_00]: Tom Brady, Tom Brady kind of hiring people he respects and in one sense it helps on the front office side, but the other on the other side of it, you know, on the coaching side, like he never worked with Pete Carroll.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_00]: So he didn't really have the intricate knowledge there.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: That one gets pushed over the goal line and, you know, I, I just, I think when you fire two coordinators in season, the way they have already so Patrick Graham's last man standing of the three coordinators that that that that that Pete Carroll hired.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, one of the big picture questions you have to ask is, do we trust him to hire the next group?
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and do we think he's going to get it right this next time around and that's something that, you know, obviously the Raiders Brass is going to have to ask when we get to the end of the season.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_00]: Ask to themself.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: On the sheet of your front, I thought that the game plan was hilarious and the reason why is.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: And every instance should do or try to take the governor switch off the car and to push the throttle all the way to 90 and I think that's exactly what Kevin Stephansky and Tommy Reese didn't want to happen and if you think that that the Browns confidence and should do or can be defined by this.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_02]: Every time they got into the red zone, it was Wildcat, and he wasn't on the field, okay?
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: They punted from the opponents 27, and they punted from the 20, like Ross Tucker even said at the booth, he goes, I've never seen this before my time life.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's how bad the Raiders' offense was, to be fair, and you're sort of playing within the flow of the game there, but
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_02]: It was check the ball down, check the ball down.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_02]: Don't make any mistakes and still.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it would pull the ball roll out and fling it deep every chance that he got.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I just, I don't, it's unfair of me to say that I don't see it.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: He clearly has talent.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but I think that he's got to learn how to play in an orchestra first and I think that there was a push in pull there that didn't sit quite well with me.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what your thoughts are.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they have the Niners next week.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see how that looks.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, the one thing I would say for him is I think we saw enough to want to see him again, right?
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think, you know, I'd be very, very clear on this.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_00]: I do not think the Browns quarterback for 2026 is on the roster right now.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I,
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't know how much to do or I can do to change that but there's no rush to figure it out anyway He's under contract for another three years.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to figure out like whether or not he's going to be a court back in 27 or 28 I'm with you like I think this was like the perfect T-ball mania type of experience Yes, where throws a screen pass that Rick is afforded for And it's like should you or Sanders throw a 66 yard touchdown pass well.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like it's like Teebo throwing the ball to Mary as Thomas at the end of that game and I think was it was it Ryan Clark wasn't in the game because it was an altitude and Ryan Clark has a sickle cell trait right and the so there's a backup safety and they're who fell down or something like that, you know, yeah, it does have that Teebo Manialment of weird stuff happening sometimes you know or that this game did.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and I don't, again, I don't think he's going to be the quarter back in 2026.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're insane if you think that.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_00]: But, but like you, I think you did see enough to want to see a little bit more.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, look, it's entertaining, right?
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're, we're here covering an entertainment product and it's entertaining.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_00]: the bad at America have had a Cam Newton.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I think once again in God bless Brown's public relations, this is going to be a test of their ability to just hold the fort because you're a mistake of a quarterbacks they've had.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_02]: Right, but this, this Albert is, he's not even sell Baker, may feel this, but this is different.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is different and it's different in a lot of ways.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you were on the sections of Twitter that I was on last time.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, they're still talking about the Browns Quarterback situation.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know for a sec.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's unbelievable, but there are the same segment of the population that thought the Browns
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_02]: were not giving Shidorah proper reps as a second string quarterback, are the same segment of the population that are now saying that the Browns weren't aggressive enough in letting Shidorah take the reins of the game plan and all that stuff.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_02]: If they go back to Dylan Gabriel.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the blowback that they're going to have to deal with and the drama that they're going to have to deal with is, I mean, it's so self-inflicted, but it just doesn't seem worth it to me.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_02]: But the rest of their season, I think, is just going to be a migraine-level headache.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't see any other way how it's not.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you think it's different.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean, like, that's the thing as they can't go back to him now, which is like, I think was probably part of their fear in doing this in the first place, you know what I mean?
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, was that like, once you pull the rep cord and you go with with with, she do our Sanders, like, it's going to be really hard to turn back if he does even two or three things that are exciting and he did do it, so he thinks that we're exciting.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, like, I look like there were a couple of legitimate, like,
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like good balls he threw through the ball.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think was Isaiah Bond early in the game right then you had yes, another one that that was a good ball the one of Jerry Judy that Jerry Judy fumbled that was a good ball but that he was wide open on that when I think right so I mean like look like I think there's enough there where it's like like let's see Let's let's see more against better opponents
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_00]: In a lot of ways, so I think the side benefit for the Browns and that is that like at the very least then either they have something or like if he does wind up looking in the way that he looked in the precies and then at least it becomes less of an issue for you going forward.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there was a couple of by the way is why teams didn't want to take them on the third day of the draft like we're seeing it now, you know what I mean.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and then afterwards, you know, people want to see me fail.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to fail.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_00]: What did you say?
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, but you can see why a lot of teams are like, now, just give me Cam Miller from North Dakota State.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, I love, you know.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_02]: cam could throw a 60R check down.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think Albert Brear of Lincoln Sudbury could throw a 60R touch to check down against that.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_00]: I could have gotten that Paul to deal in Samson back in a day.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I could buy my be able to do it right now.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_02]: Let me see real quick.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_02]: This will be a fun exercise.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see how far let's see how far that ball traveled in the air.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to see if I can get the.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we got about is it like a site that tracks that I don't know if they would.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_00]: I would guess I would guess that ball traveled.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_00]: 18 yards in the air.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_00]: No, because it was like I think it went 18 yards in the air.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_00]: We might get 18.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so he's on one hash and because he like it because the field's 53 and a half yards wide and I think they were in the middle of the field right where I'm not sure that they were on the hash there.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_00]: I was a 18 yards wolf, I don't know.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_00]: Any people in our let's we can we can and I think Samson was lined up didn't they split Samson out on that play.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I don't think, I don't think it was that far.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, now I'm now I'm curious, now I'm invested.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_01]: We can bottle up.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't know.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_00]: Donald Trump tweeted about, should we or send us first, first start in the real Donald Trump and the judge.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_00]: Should or send us with great wins first game, career start as a pro for a Cleveland great jeans.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_02]: I told you so.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_02]: Since forever so no, he was he was lined up at it off.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think I may have oversold this I think it was like eight maybe like eight yards in here.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think I I think I I say no I'd say like 12 I'd say like 12 like he was lined up in the back feel if he wasn't split out He did get the ball in the flat
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I would say about 12 years.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_00]: God, Sam, some of the way we shot out of a cannon, too.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_00]: He had some of my thing about all this is like that rookie class is really good.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we've talked about it before, but that rookie class is really good.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_00]: And it's completely overshadowed by all this drama.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_02]: Um, all right, let's put a bottle in that for now and just really quickly, uh, you know, Falcons 24 Saints 10, uh, I mean, like he said, Kirk Cousins looked serviceable in this one.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_02]: The Falcons moved to 4 and 7 and uh, the Saints dropped to 2 and 9, Tyler shook, uh, I mean, they're throwing the ball a lot with him and he's leading the team and rushing like I think it's one of those things where they're doing all they can.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if the quarterback of the future is in the draft and so,
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_02]: I would expect, you know, us to have to pay a lot of attention to Tyler shock over the next couple weeks because I think he's probably going to be what we get to start next season.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_02]: The Falcons didn't look fabulous in this game by any stretch, but they needed to come away with this in survival mode that division is still.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_02]: very much up for grabs.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the other games here, the C-Hawks beat the Titans 30-24.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_02]: Last minute, Titans touched down that really made this game look closer to you.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Jackson Smith and Jacob ahead, just a hundred and sixty-seven yards and two touchdowns.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pissed.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_02]: We come the first two-thousand yarder receiver ever unbelievable.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_02]: The Ravens destroyed the Jets 23-10.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_02]: Although, I will say this.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's a better looking Jets team.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_02]: They were up seven nothing for a long time in this game.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Lamar Jackson looks hurt Albert, I mean he doesn't he doesn't look healthy.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's just something with Lamar that's not right right now.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see but like since he came back from the injury he hasn't looked the same and you know I don't know if we hang some of that on Todd Munkin.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: They had they didn't I mean like the running game has been hit or miss the Ravens defense is still really good.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be interesting to see on Thursday night
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_00]: with a Bengals team that could be getting Joe Burrow back, you know, what that looks like.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's so frustrating that like the season just went exactly the way it did with the Bengals.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_02]: And you just right now, I mean, there's so much disbelief and it's hard to, um, it's hard to, uh, I don't know, it's hard to get there.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Um, the Bengals that they lost 26 to 20 in this one.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Joe Flacco had the ball with a chance to come back in this one.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_02]: But the big news here is that we'll
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_02]: went down for the Patriots, and we'll see what Drake may as like without his left tackle.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if this is necessarily one of those injuries that syncs their season.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think that New England and I hate to be the, you know, if Tom Kern is listening, you know, I hate to, you know, I hate to spoil his absolute hot girl summer here.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that it was, it was always going to come back down.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_02]: somewhat, right?
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they, I mean, they're not in the lead team yet.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I think that is why they were smart to stand pat at the trade deadline.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_00]: They were playing over their head.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's a credit to Mike.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's a credit to Mike.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_00]: Rable and his staff.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's a credit to the players that they brought in as a credit to the culture.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_00]: They put in place.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_00]: would I be surprised if they level off and lose a bunch the rest of the way?
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_00]: No, you know, losing a left tackle is a big deal like we said earlier in the show.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Will Campbell's played really, really well for them.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think this team was ever going to be like a AFC championship Super Bowl type of team.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think the bill still could catch them in the F.C.E.s.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I love where they are.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like I, I can't tell you, like, if I rooted for teams, and I have a rooted for teams, number 20 years, I'd be really excited about where the Patriots franchise is right now.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_00]: They're in position to really be a contender over the next few years.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_00]: But I, I just never,
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_00]: like I don't think they're there yet.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_00]: And like I think the last couple of weeks they scuffled with the jet some.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_00]: There's a Bengal team at the end of the game was without you know four guys who take up like half their salary cap in Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, T-Higgins, and Tray Hendricks in.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_00]: And like I just I think you're starting you're going to start to see water sequence level a little bit here.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Which is fine again like I think they're in a great shape.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_00]: The problem with being up here for this Connor is now everybody's gone back into like
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, even Empire mode where they're like, if you say anything remotely negative or you're not on board with this being like, you know, a reincarnation of where the Patriots were in the early 2000s, then you're a hater.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_00]: So if that makes me a hater, I guess that's what I am.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, um, it, uh, I don't know.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just, I still can't get over the three, the 348 strength of schedule.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know strength of schedule is what it is, but it's like,
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_02]: Raiders dolphins, your wins were Raiders dolphins, Panthers, bills, which is big wind, Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons, Bucks, which is Jets and Bengals.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, and then you get the Giants next week, they're gonna be 11 and two before they get to, I mean, like, right, and then you have, that could be tricky for the Patriots, so,
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like that one, I had that one circled earlier before the injuries.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's a giant scene that does still bring Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_02]: And with that, yeah, I think you left tackle.
- 1:13:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:13:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_02]: that's true.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_02]: All right, really quickly, just to finish up the week here, the Jaguar is survive a last minute surge from the Cardinals to win 27 to 24.
- 1:14:05[SPEAKER_02]: Jacobi percent just like bombed bombed one on fourth and like three instead of opting to get the team into field goal.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_00]: That was weird, wasn't it?
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_02]: Jonathan again and said he liked it, but I think Jonathan again's got to say a lot of things publicly that he probably can't say privately and he's got to play a cool
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and the Packers beat the Vikings 23 to 6.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, JJ McCarthy looks lost.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_02]: This was by all analytical measures.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_02]: One of the worst quarterbacking performances of the last like 25 years.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he's very, you know, I'd be very, I'd be concerned.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_00]: I, and I, I trust Kevin will kind of do right by the uncoordered back, but that's a situation where so many things are right.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I don't know, I mean, like, it, like, it almost feels like for someone good, maybe you go to Max Prosmer now.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_00]: I do know that they want to get a look at Max Prosmer by the end of the year.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I, I just, you know, like, you know, Kevin McConnell said a lot about like prioritizing a young quarterbacks confidence and how important that is.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're almost wonder for JJ's own good, maybe it's time that he takes a beat.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but it just has not looked, it has not looked good at all.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's a couple of weeks.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what happens.
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Green Bay, when you could run the ball, like the way that they did and without Jack Jacobs, I think that that gives me a little bit more faith here.
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not ready to say that this team is going to
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when the division, I'm not even ready to say that for certain the packers are going to make the playoffs, but Emmanuel Wilson looked good in this one, and that was still a good Vikings defense that, you know, like right down the field, they scored it's so scripted drives that JJ McCarthy looks all right, but then the rest of the time this is a really good packers defense still it's a great packers defense they're going to lose Jeff halfway soon and last but not least we have the giants losing.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_02]: uh... for the second time this season after putting up five hundred plus yards of offense uh... shamebone the defense of coordinator was fired charlie bull in their outside linebackers uh... past rushing uh... coach he's going to get in and get the nodded dc for the remainder of the year uh... this game had it all out but it had it to be able to get me sixty fantasy points it had james Winston catching the ball touch them past but
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_02]: saying that doesn't do it justice.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_02]: This was a contested catch and then a stiff arm and then a score.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_02]: And it was just the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen in my entire life.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean this was a perfect game.
- 1:16:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's game which is like makes it a shame that the Giants lost it because it was just like the wild craft that was happening There was one ball that like there was one ball and he threw down field.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember who was to was of New Louis Robinson But like I thought I was going to hit the top of the dome like he threw it up so high like and like somehow somehow somehow whoever it was came down with it like they It was a fun game from that perspective
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_00]: I talked to Aden Hutchinson after the game and I thought his take was interesting that like this was a game that were a million things went wrong for them and they were able to harness what they needed to harness to make it happen.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I, I think it's like one of the things that we most encourage with the violence here is like on your worst day, your best players made the biggest plays to get you out of what would have been a really crappy loss.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: And so like to me, it's the two runs by Gibbs that we're just spectacular and the the moves he makes in short areas and the whole just unbelievable.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, I, I still think like, I still think this lion's team like, I don't know me.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, there's just so many, there's so much talent there.
- 1:18:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and, and there have been points this year where they didn't look like they had their crap fully together.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_00]: But this is one of those Sundays where so many things go wrong and you just see the talent they have in the roster and some of these guys just going and winning when they need to win to get the team on the right side of of of of of of of the result.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's something good to take from this and now we've got a really interesting world.
- 1:18:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Thanksgiving sites great this year, like so that that that early game, the Lions Packers game becomes really, really interesting too.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to keep pace with the first place.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Chicago Bears.
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_02]: Last but not least, the Chicago Bears, they lasted the Pittsburgh Steelers, the non Aaron Rogers Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that we have a couple of running teams in the running for this year's commanders, certainly Chicago is one of them, New England, being the other.
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I, I, I, you can't overstate the offensive line makeover, which I
- 1:19:05[SPEAKER_02]: is the front-to-back reason why this team is so excellent.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_02]: And even on a day where you're rushing, you know, you get 12 rushes for 48 yards from a non-guy.
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_02]: You could still sling it for 35 times, the Caleb Williams, and you only get stacked once.
- 1:19:20[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, he doesn't turn the ball over.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_02]: And against Pittsburgh, that's everything.
- 1:19:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, one quarterback hit, Albert.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_02]: One quarterback hit.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_02]: I see a little bit of that.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is why I think Joe Tune was one of the best acquisition of the offseason because I just think like that guy who I mean like if you look at like his playtime numbers over the course of his career since saying like how often he's been out there at those positions to be that durable is is wild and he's in his 10th year now but I just think like I think Tune he comes in and brings like a level of professionalism to the group you know what I mean like where
- 1:19:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, like he's one of those players where you just feel like, if that guy, that guy is not going to be part of a, of a belief show, you know what I mean?
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's the best way to put it, you know what I mean?
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_00]: But like, that guy is not going to be part of a, of a weird crappy situation.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and that doesn't mean he fixes everything or he deserves credit for everything.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think like acquiring a guy like that really smart move by Ryan Polls.
- 1:20:26[SPEAKER_00]: does have a way of adding professionalism to the group as a whole.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it gets guys like Ah-Hitra Pillow, rookie starting at left tackle.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Darnell Wright, who had some maturity issues.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_00]: You get him playing at a higher level at right tackle.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like I just think it has like this multiplying effect.
- 1:20:44[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I, you know, you, you, you love where the bears are at because I think one of the coolest things about watching Caleb for me to is is like they found a way to manage his development without teaching taking his magic away.
- 1:20:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's still not perfect.
- 1:20:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:21:00[SPEAKER_00]: But this is not a situation where you're developing a quarterback where you're like protecting the rest of the team from the on quarterback, making a mistake.
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_00]: you know like sometimes you see that where there'll be a young quarterback and like it's like Mark Sanchez and the Jets back in a day right like you almost felt like it hurt his development and you would know more about this than me because you were there every day but you almost felt like they were hiding him you know in a game like and and I think maybe like that worked for those Jets in the moments and in the moment it's hard to argue against what they got out of it because they went back to back AFC championship games
- 1:21:32[SPEAKER_00]: But you did that hinder his development long-term.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what's happening here.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_00]: You still have like kale about there making plays off script and doing kale of Williams things.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_00]: And you've just found a way to be competent enough everywhere else.
- 1:21:47[SPEAKER_00]: where you can absorb some mistakes and still get the big plays out of them to make a difference.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he made big plays in this one.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_00]: He and DJ more hooked up, you know, a couple times and it looks like they've got a real good report right now.
- 1:22:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, obviously like the scrambles against the giants, the big throw down the team against the the bangles to coast and lovelin like.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like Ben Johnson is doing a really nice job of developing them and not in the traditional like babying him way, right?
- 1:22:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, like really bringing him along and seeing what he can do and making him ride out good and bad.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well,
- 1:22:22[SPEAKER_02]: Albert, I think that about does it for us.
- 1:22:25[SPEAKER_02]: We've said it all, and we've closed the book on yet another week of NFL football.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of just watching Panthers tonight.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_00]: And, either way, the question up on the first take Kyron, which this can be a weekly thing for us right now is, was Sunday a legacy to finding win for DAC?
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'm going to say first, should it be for Sanders, my God.
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_02]: We are, uh, we are going to, uh, we're going to take a little bit of a break.
- 1:22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we will see you guys on Monday for next week.
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_02]: And let me just say this, enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with your friends, with your family.
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_02]: If you are working alone, uh, this Thanksgiving, uh, Connor dot org at s i dot com, drop me an email.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_02]: I always check my email and thanksgiving.
- 1:23:11[SPEAKER_02]: I have some people reach out who maybe work in a shift or something like that.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_02]: You want to talk a little bit of football.
- 1:23:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'll try to do my best to answer a couple emails or reach out my Twitter.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's where my email out there, too.
- 1:23:23[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to copy me on that, it's Albert Deppard at sid.com.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 1:23:27[SPEAKER_00]: The two of us know what it means to work on Thanksgiving.
- 1:23:29[SPEAKER_02]: 100% and, you know, for those of you guys who have to work on Thanksgiving.
- 1:23:34[SPEAKER_02]: For whatever reason, just know we appreciate it.
- 1:23:37[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully someone saves a plate of turkey for you.
- 1:23:41[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you guys for everything.
- 1:23:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're extremely thankful for you.
- 1:23:45[SPEAKER_02]: We saw some listeners responding to awful announcing was asking their favorite pieces of media for 2025, and a couple of people had mentioned the MMQB podcast with the two of us.
- 1:23:59[SPEAKER_02]: And just know how much that warms our hearts and how much that meant to us.
- 1:24:03[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you guys, have a great holiday and we will see you after a little break on Monday.
