- 0:003 lifelong friends, 6 trusty balls and endless NFL ticks.
- 0:05Welcome to three guys 6 Balls NFL Podcast.
- 0:08Welcome to episode 49 of Three guys 6 Balls NFL podcast.
- 0:11I'm your host Joel, and I'm here with my two Co hosts Will and
- 0:14Avery. The NFL season is officially
- 0:17over after the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots in
- 0:20the Super Bowl, so Congrats to them.
- 0:22But that means it's officially the offseason for every NFL
- 0:25team, which means it's time to start doing our scouting reports
- 0:29for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. However, before we get there, I
- 0:33just wanted to get your guys's quick thoughts on the Super
- 0:35Bowl. Will, I know you're eager to
- 0:38throw some Drake May shade here, so why don't you start us off?
- 0:41Man, that guy played terrible for three and a third quarters
- 0:46of. That game.
- 0:47Just, I mean, honestly, awful missing open guys, but he was
- 0:51moved off the spot. OK.
- 0:52Well, he is. He's an NFL quarterback.
- 0:54He was runner up in the MVP. OK, runner up, Matthew.
- 0:59All Matthew Stafford did against that team was throw for like 900
- 1:02yards, 8 touchdowns, no picks. Now, yeah, they played three
- 1:05times, but still in the playoffs.
- 1:08Matt Stafford, Matthew Stafford. Excuse me, I want to disrespect
- 1:10the man. Matthew Stafford threw for 375
- 1:13or something like that. Yards, 3 touchdowns.
- 1:16The NFC Championship was a significantly better game than
- 1:18the Super Bowl. I mean, there's just no other
- 1:20way to say that the the AFC Championship was even arguably a
- 1:23better game than that Super Bowl.
- 1:25Seattle showed up ready to play. The Patriots showed up, I guess.
- 1:28And that's pretty much all that happened.
- 1:30Like it, it is. It was a dominant performance
- 1:33from the very start by Seattle and and then the Patriots.
- 1:37I don't know if they're going to be back.
- 1:38This is one of those moments like like Dan Marino lived this,
- 1:42right? I'm not calling Drake made as
- 1:44good as Dan Marino by any means, but there's another second year
- 1:47quarterback that or another quarterback that made their
- 1:49second year and is yet to get back and that's Joe Burrow and
- 1:52they lost it. And that team has just never
- 1:55been good enough to get all the way back.
- 1:56And the way Will Campbell was put on his ass.
- 1:58Sorry Dwayne, over and over and over again.
- 2:01Look, he's going to get better. There's no way he doesn't get
- 2:03better. He's a rookie this year.
- 2:05His college career has never gone 20 games or 21 games or
- 2:08however many games they played. He's exhausted.
- 2:10I'm not calling him the worst. I'm not calling him bad, but he
- 2:13got beat on almost every single point in the Super Bowl and it
- 2:17showed. Will's always out here stealing
- 2:19everything I want to say, because that's exactly what I
- 2:21was going to say, is I think that Super Bowl could have been
- 2:24the only chance that the Patriots had to win a Super Bowl
- 2:27for a long time. Yeah, I I really do.
- 2:29I think that Super Bowl was the Patriots only chance to win a
- 2:32Super Bowl for a very long time. The chances of them ever having
- 2:35that easy of a schedule to the Super Bowl again are not high.
- 2:39I understand that they played top defenses in every playoff
- 2:42game, but the most points that they had to score to win a game
- 2:45before the Super Bowl was 17 points.
- 2:47In two of the games, all they had to do was score 10 points.
- 2:50With all these quarterbacks in the AFC that you didn't have to
- 2:52play this year, there's just no way that the future playoff
- 2:56friends you're going to have are going to be against three
- 2:58offenses that are just horrendous.
- 3:00I'm not saying the Patriots are going to be bad, but it's
- 3:03incredibly hard to make the Super Bowl, and the Patriots had
- 3:06probably the easiest road to the Super Bowl we've ever seen.
- 3:09And I'm not saying that they won't get back to the Super Bowl
- 3:11ever, but I am saying that it's a lot harder to do than what
- 3:15they had to do this year. So I hope Patriots fans enjoyed
- 3:18it because I don't see it happening again anytime soon.
- 3:22This sorry, here you go. Oh, I, I just, I first, I want
- 3:25to give a shout out to Austin, one of my buddies from home, and
- 3:30my 2 cousins, one of which has aired on the show, both of which
- 3:34have been on the show, but all three of them big Seahawks fans.
- 3:39And they've got to be feeling pretty good right now.
- 3:42That being said, I, I feel like the game went exactly as
- 3:46everyone kind of thought it would.
- 3:48I feel like everyone kind of except Patriots fans.
- 3:50Yeah. And if you're from Boston, it's
- 3:54like, yeah, like this. Yeah.
- 3:57Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just like, I want both
- 4:00teams to lose. It's like, I get it, I get that.
- 4:03But no, I feel like everyone tried to give some different
- 4:05takes just for the sake of parody maybe.
- 4:08But this the game went exactly as I feel like everyone kind of
- 4:12thought it would. Seahawks just kind of impose
- 4:14their will. Drake May was still the same
- 4:16Drake May. That wasn't, you know, facing,
- 4:19you know, whether lesser opponents or, you know,
- 4:22opponents that had just worst games or the Broncos that lost
- 4:24their their quarterback. And then, you know, the the you
- 4:28know, this not yesterday. Sunday was their day of
- 4:32reckoning. So I thought the Seahawks
- 4:34deserved it. I thought they went through the
- 4:35gauntlet. I thought they, you know,
- 4:37performed well the whole season. Honestly, good for them.
- 4:41I'm really happy for Sam Darnold.
- 4:42I feel like, you know, just as one of those guys that just
- 4:46definitely got written off. I mean, even after fourteen wins
- 4:50in Minnesota, still got written off, went to the Seahawks and
- 4:54won it. So I mean, I'm, I'm, I'm happy
- 4:57just because, you know, I'm from the Pacific Northwest.
- 5:00Not a Seahawks fan myself, but I know a lot of them.
- 5:03But I like to see the Pacific Northwest beat on Boston, so it
- 5:09was fun. The amount of people that were
- 5:11missing from work Monday, I live in the Pacific Northwest
- 5:14currently if we're not at work on Monday was a lot higher than
- 5:19I was expecting actually. I was like, oh wow, you're not
- 5:21here, you're not here. You know what?
- 5:23Well how it all pre planned you took the day off beforehand you
- 5:25you knew. So yeah, last touch thing here,
- 5:31the Patriots on and this stats been going around a bunch so
- 5:34you've probably seen it or heard it or what not.
- 5:36The Patriots had 53 drives in the postseason.
- 5:39Their points per drive were 1.13.
- 5:41The O and 17 Browns, 2017 O and 17 or O and 16 Browns, excuse
- 5:46me, from 2017, their points per drive for the whole season. 1.33
- 5:53they were. Now, granted, your sample size
- 5:56is different and it's easier to have a lower number because
- 5:58you've got less attempts. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:00The math is the math right in your cherry picking stats to fit
- 6:04the narrative. But still, that's really bad.
- 6:07That's really bad. That that.
- 6:09I mean, how many punts in a row was it for the Patriots in the
- 6:12Super Bowl? Like 6 or 8 or something like
- 6:14that? And then the halftime happened.
- 6:15It's like, all right, well, come back out.
- 6:16We're punting again. It's it's they played it.
- 6:19They played bad. They just played bad.
- 6:22Before Joel gets into the main topic, I do want to give a
- 6:26special shout out to the North Carolina Tar Heels, who LED for
- 6:33less than half a second in the whole game and came out and beat
- 6:38Duke 00. As much as I like the Buccaneers
- 6:43and the NFL, it's it pales in comparison to Carolina beating
- 6:48Duke. It is a sweet, sweet, tender
- 6:51mercy of the Lord that I get to experience in this life watching
- 6:54Carolina beat Duke. And it is there's nothing like
- 6:59it. And especially in that way, in a
- 7:01way that will be played for the next few decades when they show
- 7:05highlights of Carolina Duke like this is this is in there now.
- 7:08It wasn't enough that we beat Coach K in his last game at
- 7:13Cameron. It wasn't enough that we beat
- 7:14Coach K in his final game in their first time meeting in not
- 7:18only the tournament, but in the final four with Caleb and his
- 7:25Caleb loves amazing 3 pointer over Mark Williams.
- 7:28Anyway, I just want to say go Tar Heels and Duke and suck it.
- 7:33And I'm not going to apologize to my dad because he 100% agrees
- 7:36with that. All right, Joel.
- 7:41All right, well, Congrats to the Tar Heels and Congrats to the
- 7:44Seattle Seahawks for winning the Super Bowl.
- 7:46Joe, I'm sorry, Hold on. Is this just like a regular
- 7:49season game? A freak?
- 7:50This isn't even like the ACC Tournament, no.
- 7:54And and and they play each other twice, so that's not even like
- 7:58the one time they play them. And they could also play them in
- 8:01the ACC tournament. But it's Duke.
- 8:03Duke has only lost one game. Duke has.
- 8:06Duke was like 20 and one and only lost that one game to a
- 8:09really good team who only beat them by 1.
- 8:12So they came in there like ready to like beat the brakes off
- 8:16Carolina and they were doing that and then choked.
- 8:20They choked and gave up an amazing basically buzzer beater
- 8:26to the star. Well, not even the star.
- 8:28I mean, Caleb Caleb Wilson is a star, but Seth Trimble total
- 8:33blue blood senior Carolina storybook storybook ending.
- 8:39But yes, you're right. It was just in the middle of the
- 8:41season. That's how big it.
- 8:42Was fair enough, OK. All right, so today we're going
- 8:47to get into some scouting reports to start off the NFL
- 8:51draft season. And so last year when we started
- 8:53our podcast, we started in March and we kind of got a late start
- 8:56to the NFL draft process. We also had no idea what we were
- 8:59doing, so there wasn't much structure at the time when it
- 9:02came to scattering reports. So this year what we're going to
- 9:04do is we're going to go through the ESPN Top 50 Big Board and
- 9:08we're going to scout the players and then we're going to rank
- 9:11them based off where we think they should go and make our own
- 9:14Top 50 Big Board. So the plan right now is is to
- 9:17do 6 players a week. We'll see how today goes, see if
- 9:20we can get through 6, but we plan on doing 6 a week and this
- 9:23is how it's going to work. So after today, we're going to
- 9:25rank the players how we think they should be ranked one
- 9:28through 6. And then next week, we'll go
- 9:30through the players 7 through 12 on the ESPN Top 50 Big Board and
- 9:34then put those players into our rankings.
- 9:37So if we feel like #7 on the ESPN Top 50 Big Board should be
- 9:41ranked either higher or lower, we will then move him around to
- 9:44where we think he should go into the top 12.
- 9:47And then the following week, we do the same thing with players
- 9:4913 through 18 and so on. So we're going to start by
- 9:53giving the scouting reports for players one through 6 on the
- 9:56ESPN top 50 big board. And then at the end of the show,
- 10:00we'll rank them how we feel like they should go on our own top 50
- 10:04big board. So just so you guys know who
- 10:06those top six are. For the ESPN's top 50, the
- 10:09number one player is Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza #2
- 10:13is Ohio State linebacker Arville Reese #3 is Notre Dame running
- 10:17back Jeremiah love #4, Texas Tech edge David Bailey #5 Ohio
- 10:22State safety Caleb Downs. And number six is Miami edge
- 10:26Ruben Bain junior. Those are the top 6 we're going
- 10:28to go over today, starting with #1 which is Indiana quarterback
- 10:32Fernando Mendoza. I am going to share my screen
- 10:35because I have a slideshow with scouting reports for you guys
- 10:40courtesy of ChatGPT. So.
- 10:43Don't reveal the secrets. No, I did this all myself.
- 10:46I made all the images and everything.
- 10:48We had it all myself next. Time we have a graphics guy OK
- 10:51they didn't even notice you when the Internet graphics.
- 10:54Guy, the show's been getting big.
- 10:56We've been putting it off for a bit, but we finally pulled the
- 10:58trigger. That's right.
- 11:01All right, so #1 Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
- 11:05Avery, give us your scouting report for Fernando Mendoza.
- 11:09Here's the thing, I think he is. I want to, I want to preface
- 11:12this by saying I do think he is the top prospect.
- 11:15I think he is probably the biggest game changer in the
- 11:17draft. However, that being said, this
- 11:22feels a little bit like the Trubisky situation and not
- 11:25exactly the same. It's definitely not a one to one
- 11:28comparison, but more like gay. Where was this guy ranked, you
- 11:33know, coming out of Cal? And then you see him here at at
- 11:36Indiana and and as insane of a season as it was, it is kind of
- 11:42a question of, OK, was this Mendoza?
- 11:45Was this the coach? Was this different?
- 11:47You know, I mean, he had an incredible season, but it was
- 11:51one of those things as a Oregon fan who had to endure this game
- 11:55twice, there was something about that that didn't really seem
- 11:59like a superstar player necessarily.
- 12:02I'm not saying he isn't. But it was something that it was
- 12:04so well coached and such a great game plan that we just got
- 12:09exposed everywhere. And normally, I mean, any any
- 12:12NFL def, any football defense, it's like, yeah, that there's
- 12:15going to be weaknesses. The trick is, can the
- 12:17quarterback, you know, find it? And maybe that is what it is.
- 12:21What I'm curious to see. And it's really just this next
- 12:24season is OK, is Indiana going to be just as good?
- 12:27Is it more of a system? Is Fernando Mendoza just a
- 12:31product of a great system and a great coach?
- 12:36Or is he actually a great, you know, as good as advertised?
- 12:41Meaning if you swap any other quarterback that's, you know, at
- 12:43least a, a, a, a decent, you know, draft prospect and you put
- 12:47him at Indiana, would he have had just as good a season is
- 12:51what is basically what I'm what I'm coming at.
- 12:53And so I feel like a lot of the reason he is the number one and,
- 12:57and I don't just mean #1 but like unanimous #1 pick is
- 13:01because of the season he had. But it wasn't just him.
- 13:04I mean, yeah, I think the the scramble he had was it was
- 13:06incredible. I think he's very, very
- 13:09deserving of it, But I think next season will be interesting
- 13:12to see, OK, Signetti and Mendoza, you know, kind of like
- 13:16Brady and Belichick, it's like, hey, who's really pulling the
- 13:19most weight here? So having said that, I think
- 13:22he's got all the physical tools. I think his mentality is great.
- 13:26I think the fact that he's just simply just seems to just want
- 13:29to get to work and just seems like a great positive influence
- 13:33in the locker room. I mean, I don't think it's a
- 13:36question he should be #1 I would just like to see, OK, you had a
- 13:40really good situation last year. Let's see how you do in Las
- 13:43Vegas with the Raiders. So I'm, I'm, I'm curious to see
- 13:47it, but I do still feel like he is the number one.
- 13:50Yeah, I. Really like Fernando Mendoza a
- 13:52lot. I think he's very smart and he's
- 13:53got a very high football IQ. I think he processes things very
- 13:57well both pre and post snap, so he's able to diagnose coverages
- 14:00very well and he understands what he needs to do to
- 14:03effectively attack a defense. It was the most efficient
- 14:06quarterback in college football last year rating of 182.9, which
- 14:10is higher than Jackson Dart was in 2024, which is one of the
- 14:13reasons why I loved Jackson Dart.
- 14:16So he was more efficient than Jackson Dart was in 2024.
- 14:19One of the things I love most about Fernando Mendoza 2 is he's
- 14:22very, very accurate. He specifically is accurate in
- 14:25short to mid range throws and in the season he completed 73% of
- 14:29his passes. He had six games this year where
- 14:31he completed over 85% and three more games where he completed
- 14:35over 91%, which is crazy. And the reason why he's so good
- 14:40at his accuracy is because his ball placement is elite.
- 14:44In my long history of being a scout, this is the number one
- 14:49quarterback that I've seen with ball placement.
- 14:51He has elite ball placement, specifically outside the
- 14:54numbers. He is the probably the best back
- 14:57shoulder passer that I've seen going into the NFL draft.
- 15:00His back shoulder throws are insane.
- 15:02Ball placement is perfect every time.
- 15:05He gives his guy the opportunity and only his guy the opportunity
- 15:09to catch the ball. He is very, very good with ball
- 15:11placement and accuracy. One thing I love about him too
- 15:14is he is very poised in the pocket.
- 15:17He is a more traditional quarterback.
- 15:19He does have some movement ability, but he's more of a
- 15:21traditional quarterback versus one of these guys like a Josh
- 15:24Allen or Lamar Jackson. He stands in the pocket, he
- 15:27delivers the ball, he's tough inside the pocket, he stands
- 15:31there, he takes hits and it doesn't seem like it fazes him.
- 15:34There's really a really a lot to like about Fernando Mendoza, but
- 15:37specifically I think how smart he is and his quick mental
- 15:41processing is really where he wins the game.
- 15:45I guess it means it's my turn. Hey, hey guys, I'm here too.
- 15:49I I'd like to agree and disagree with both of you guys.
- 15:53I think, and maybe this is what you meant.
- 15:55I think he's the clear number one pick.
- 15:57I don't think, and this is a getting ahead of us here.
- 16:00I don't think he's the best prospect in the draft.
- 16:02There's no way the Raiders. There's.
- 16:05No way the Raiders don't take him.
- 16:06You can't, you can't not take this guy at 6 foot 5.
- 16:10He's got good enough arm talents for the NFL.
- 16:13He doesn't have he's not Josh Allen, he's not matching Holmes.
- 16:17He's not slinging the ball 85 yards on the field.
- 16:20That's an exaggeration. Don't at me.
- 16:22But as Drill said, he puts the ball right where he needs to
- 16:25every time he makes the smart throws.
- 16:27I disagree with you a little bit.
- 16:29Drill I I don't think he's I I think he's easily upsettable in
- 16:34the pocket. I don't even know the story
- 16:35where to put it. I think that when the pressure
- 16:37gets to him, he starts to, I want to say panic.
- 16:41He starts to work for your way out.
- 16:42That's when he starts to run, when he starts to scramble,
- 16:45right? Well, that's the thing.
- 16:45So that's the thing I didn't get to yet is while he's in the
- 16:49pocket, if he has time in the pocket to deliver the ball, he
- 16:52is very, very accurate. But when he when he gets pushed
- 16:55out of the pocket, he's not as much, he's completion percentage
- 16:59drops significantly. When he gets moved off of his
- 17:02spot and has to move outside of the pocket, it drops down to
- 17:0553.2%. So where the Raiders are really
- 17:08going to have to help him is build his offensive line,
- 17:10because if they don't, the Raiders are going to be doing a
- 17:12huge disservice to Mendoza. But I think that Clint Kubiak is
- 17:16going to be the perfect coach for Mendoza going into the NFL
- 17:19because he just worked with Sam Darnold.
- 17:22And what was a big thing that everybody said about Sam
- 17:25Darnold? For a long time, when he gets
- 17:27pressure, he's not good. But that wasn't the case with
- 17:31Clint Kubiak as his offensive coordinator.
- 17:33So Clint Kubiak's coming from Sam Darnold where everybody said
- 17:36he couldn't handle the pressure. Same thing with Mendoza.
- 17:39If Mendoza goes into Las Vegas and he has a good offensive line
- 17:44around him, Clint Kubiak will figure out how to get the best
- 17:47out of Fernando Mendoza. I just think that when he has a
- 17:50clean pocket, he's able to stand in the pocket, step up, set his
- 17:54feet, deliver the ball accurately, but when he gets
- 17:56flushed out, you're correct, that is where he struggles a
- 18:00little bit. Right.
- 18:01And OK, so I guess we're on the same page there.
- 18:03I think my favorite thing about Mendoza is that if you look at
- 18:07his mechanics at Cal and you look at his mechanics at Indiana
- 18:10and it's goes to sequels. What you were saying, Avery, is
- 18:13that he's very coachable. He's willing to take what he
- 18:16has, what what he fundamentally has and approve on it.
- 18:20He's he's not set in his ways, his stay even even down to like
- 18:24his stance, taking the snap. They shortened up his stride
- 18:27that they got him more compact, ready to take and and get ready
- 18:31to throw the ball. And so I, I think, like you
- 18:34said, you know, I think Kubi actually do a good job of taking
- 18:37that and expanding on it. Now.
- 18:39Again, like like you said, Avery going from Signeti to a first
- 18:43time head coach, that's going to be a big adjustment, especially
- 18:46on the Raiders who were abysmal, I mean just abysmal.
- 18:50So I'm afraid we're going to get a Marcus Mariota type where all
- 18:55the talent in the world goes to a bad team, constant change in
- 18:59coordinators, constant change in coaching, and it just never
- 19:03really works out. And that's the problem I
- 19:05actually have written here. One of his downfalls is that
- 19:08he's too good in college to be good in the NFL.
- 19:11Because when you're too good in college as a quarterback, you go
- 19:15to the NFL and if the team isn't already built around you to step
- 19:19into, chances are you're not going to be overwhelmingly
- 19:22successful. Now, there are a large number of
- 19:26cases where that's just not true, but more recently that has
- 19:30been the case where you are really good in college and you
- 19:33just don't pay on the NFL because your situation you're
- 19:35stepping into is not right. I don't know who said it.
- 19:39Maybe it was Dan Orlovsky said. Maybe it wasn't there, But I
- 19:43think it was Dan Olaschke that said teams failed quarterbacks
- 19:46more than quarterbacks failed their teams because they just
- 19:49don't set them up in a good scenario.
- 19:51And the Raiders just traded away their best wide receiver last
- 19:56year to the Jaguars. And so now they've got it's now
- 19:59they don't have nobody, but they basically have no nobody as a
- 20:03receiver. You've got Brock Bowers, you've
- 20:04got Ashton Genti. They and they need help that
- 20:08that team's going to need more than just Mendoza Raiders.
- 20:11Fans will tell you that it doesn't matter because they have
- 20:13$100 million in cap space. And I just keep telling them
- 20:16there's no guarantee that anybody's going to sign with
- 20:18you. So yeah, no one.
- 20:19Wants to play in Las Vegas because they've been bad.
- 20:23You're not getting the veterans to come there because you don't
- 20:26have win right now potential, right?
- 20:29And I just have one more thing to say about Fernando Mendoza.
- 20:31Something that he needs to work on is his improvisation.
- 20:34I think that's where he could really struggle, which is kind
- 20:36of similar to when he has to get out of the pocket.
- 20:39But he's not like a Josh Allen or a Caleb Williams, Oregon,
- 20:42Patrick Mahomes, where he's escaping from all these guys.
- 20:45He struggles with improvisation, and that's due to him not being
- 20:48an elite athlete. He's a functional athlete, but
- 20:51he's not an elite athlete. Like Josh Allen is an elite
- 20:54athlete, Lamar Jackson is an elite athlete, Mendoza is not,
- 20:58although he is more mobile than people think he is, so he can
- 21:01make plays with his legs. I do think that his brushing
- 21:04plays that he makes are more from his quick mental processing
- 21:08though than from his athletic ability.
- 21:10So when he runs, I think he reminds me a little bit of Baker
- 21:14Mayfield. May not be the perfect comp, but
- 21:17he reminds me a little bit of Baker Mayfield because when he
- 21:20is running out of the pocket, he's making plays with his legs.
- 21:23He's not the fastest guy, he's not the best athlete, but when
- 21:25he needs to run, he will run and he will run tough.
- 21:29So although it's something that he doesn't need to work on, his
- 21:32rushing ability is something that I do actually really like
- 21:35about Fernando Mendoza as well. Do you guys have anything else
- 21:37on Fernando? Nope, Nope.
- 21:39All right, cool. Are we?
- 21:41Ranking them now where we have them or are we going to talk
- 21:44about him after? OK, Yeah, we're going.
- 21:46To do it at the very end, so. I guess if you said earlier.
- 21:50Yeah, come on. All right, so the number two
- 21:53player on the ESPN Top 50 big board is Ohio State linebacker
- 21:56Arville Reese. Will I know you really, really
- 21:59like this guy, so why don't you start us off here?
- 22:01Yeah, I. I do really like this guy.
- 22:03I actually just peel the curtain back.
- 22:07I actually did not put him as my number 1.
- 22:08I had him as my number 1 and I actually moved him off.
- 22:11He's got size 6 foot 4243. He's incredibly tall for a
- 22:16linebacker. He's got great size.
- 22:18He's everything you want in a linebacker.
- 22:20He's he's good all around, ability to play on the line of
- 22:24scrimmage, off the ball, middle line of the line of scrimmage,
- 22:27standing up. He has played everywhere.
- 22:29Ohio State played him in every position between him and Caleb
- 22:32Downs. Those two were pretty much your,
- 22:36your free player to play wherever you want to.
- 22:39They put all of them or both of them at every position that they
- 22:42have respectively. He's patient.
- 22:44He's going to keep his eyes in the backfield, adjust the ball
- 22:47as plays, developing an explosive and reactive and
- 22:51explosive. When he recognizes past get in
- 22:54there and it disrupted play. I do think he used to use his
- 22:56hands more as a pass rusher and take on half a man.
- 22:59He's continue to develop his edge skills because he plays
- 23:03around so much. And I think this is very similar
- 23:05to what Michael Parsons did at Penn State where Penn State had
- 23:09him playing standing up a lot and playing outside linebacker
- 23:13rather than edge rusher. And then when you got in the
- 23:15NFL, you're like, hey, actually Dallas and just get your hand in
- 23:19the dirt and just rush the patcher, rush the patcher.
- 23:21Wow, can't get that one out passer, rush the passer.
- 23:25And so I think we're going to see a similar thing here where
- 23:29they take his skill set and say, hey, why don't we hone this one.
- 23:33He just continue to develop that edge rushing skills that isn't
- 23:36unless he's going up against foil cable.
- 23:38Nobody has developed. That's free, free skates all
- 23:41good. So I like him a lot and 69 total
- 23:46tackles you see here on this on this on the graphic doesn't seem
- 23:49like a lot, but you what that doesn't show is how much he's
- 23:52constantly disrupting the play and he's just in there making it
- 23:56so either he or somebody else can make the play all the time.
- 24:00Yeah, I. I feel like this guy is kind of
- 24:02just like one of those, you know, mad dogs that you let off
- 24:06the leash. I, I feel like I think the areas
- 24:09of improvement kind of indicate I, I honestly, I've been
- 24:13watching these guys, both of these guys for a couple years
- 24:15now just because Oregon's always, you know, kind of around
- 24:19them. I've always felt like, dude, if
- 24:22you gave Arvel Reese Downs, you know, the brain or his mind to
- 24:28be able to dissect the play, I'm like, that would.
- 24:31Be insane. And I I think Caleb downs
- 24:34incredible, but we'll get to him later.
- 24:36But I feel I do feel like this is one of those guys where it's
- 24:39like, look, if you've got a great coach who knows how to
- 24:42utilize someone like him. I mean, when I'd watch him, I I
- 24:45wouldn't even realize that he's even a like like the size he is.
- 24:50He almost plays a little smaller, in least to me.
- 24:54I feel like he's very, extremely quick gets to where he wants to
- 24:57go. But I do think that the decision
- 25:00making is sometimes a little bit suspect.
- 25:03And I would hope, I mean, sometimes that doesn't translate
- 25:06in the NFL. Sometimes you just get a little
- 25:07lost in the sauce. But I would hope that wherever
- 25:10he goes, his coordinators know how to utilize him, just like
- 25:13what we were talking about with the quarterbacks.
- 25:16You know that that some it's most of the time the team fails
- 25:18them. I do hope that they get him the
- 25:21same way with Micah Parsons. Like why don't we just have you
- 25:23rush, just go in there and just get the tackle, get the sack.
- 25:27I hope that if they utilize him ideally to his strengths, I
- 25:32think he could be an absolute monster in in the league.
- 25:34I think so. Too.
- 25:35I think like you mentioned Avery, like with his rushing
- 25:38ability and will you mention it too, like he's not a natural
- 25:41pass rusher. He doesn't have a lot of
- 25:43experience just being a pass rusher.
- 25:45And that might have to to do with his lack of starting
- 25:47experience because he only started for one year at Ohio
- 25:49State. But what he is right now is he
- 25:52is an elite blitzer When he blitzes and he is coming
- 25:55downhill to the quarterback. If there's anybody in his way,
- 25:58specifically running backs, he will blow them up to get to the
- 26:02quarterback. He does not let people get away
- 26:05from him when he is in pursuit. He doesn't lose to speed, he
- 26:08doesn't lose to power, He doesn't lose the size.
- 26:11He just wins when he's in pursuit of the ball carrier.
- 26:14He's a fantastic tackler. He had a 6% missed tackle rate
- 26:18this past season, which if you do the math, he only missed 4
- 26:21tackles all season long and that's because of how long he
- 26:24is. His arms are so long that it
- 26:26just allows him to wrap up ball carriers and he does not let
- 26:29them get away from him. And probably my favorite thing
- 26:32about Arville Reese is how strong of an anchor he has.
- 26:35He's able to just stand up offensive lineman who try to
- 26:38block him in the run game. He plants his feet and instead
- 26:41of getting pushed back, he stands his ground, pushes up
- 26:44into the lineman, and then disengages to make the tackle.
- 26:47He uses his hands to overpower the offensive lineman and
- 26:51bullies them instead of letting them bully him.
- 26:53He uses his leverage very well. He gets up under their chest and
- 26:57pushes up to get them off balance.
- 26:59That was probably the number one thing that I was most impressed
- 27:02with with Arville Reese is just his ability to just stop an
- 27:06offensive lineman in their tracks, push them up and get off
- 27:09of them to make a tackle. What I think he needs to work on
- 27:13is his coverage ability, which is where he really the biggest
- 27:17thing he needs to improve. Really, if you just let him go
- 27:19and pursue the ball carry and just let him loose, he can do
- 27:22anything you want. But if he needs to cover like a
- 27:25shifty running back or a shifty tight end, he does have a little
- 27:28bit of trouble with change of direction in that type of a
- 27:30situation. But again, I do think that that
- 27:33comes from his lack of starting experience and he also this
- 27:37comes from that as well. He also bites on play fakes, on
- 27:40play action type of stuff and kind of takes him a little bit
- 27:44to diagnose the play sometimes and figure out where he needs to
- 27:47go. But when he figures out where he
- 27:49needs to go, his closing speed allows him to get there in a
- 27:52hurry. So overall, I think Arville
- 27:55Reese has a ton of potential. He's the most physically gifted
- 27:59linebacker in this class. He's got the size, he's got the
- 28:02strength, he's got the speed. He is going to be a problem for
- 28:05offensive coordinators in the NFL, and the crazy part is he's
- 28:08only 20 years old and he's only been a starter for one season.
- 28:12This guy's going to be insane in the NFL.
- 28:14Did you name? Your daughter after him.
- 28:16Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that he has the best name in the
- 28:19NFL draft. So yeah, that's right.
- 28:24I did actually name my daughter after Arville Reese.
- 28:26That's cool. A year before he started that
- 28:29will. Only be the That'll be the
- 28:31story. If the Bucks somehow get him.
- 28:33There's no chance of that even happening.
- 28:35But if the Bucks were to somehow get Arville Reese, that's the
- 28:38story moving forward forever. You will.
- 28:40Retrofit. The story is like, look, this is
- 28:42actually the alternative history here.
- 28:44This is really what it is. Yeah.
- 28:46And if the Bucks do somehow get him, I will instantly buy his
- 28:49jersey, instantly buy his jersey.
- 28:51But again, there's no chance of that happening.
- 28:53So go ahead. And what are you going?
- 28:56To say nothing important. OK, OK, all right, let's move on
- 29:00to the number three player on the ESPN Top 50 big board, which
- 29:03is Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love.
- 29:07So I'll start on this one. The first thing I wrote down on
- 29:10my notes for Jeremiah Love is home run hitter.
- 29:13He is a big play threat every single time he touches the ball.
- 29:16This last season he averaged 6.9 yards of carry.
- 29:19And the reason why he is a home run hitter is because he was
- 29:23actually a state champion sprinter in high school.
- 29:25He has elite acceleration to get away from defenders and he's
- 29:29very patient behind his offensive line.
- 29:31Once he finds the hole, he's able to get up to full speed in
- 29:34a hurry. But I think what really makes
- 29:36Jeremiah Love special is his ability to re accelerate after
- 29:41slowing down to make defenders miss.
- 29:43A lot of running backs have good initial acceleration, but when
- 29:46they have to slow down to try and make somebody miss and then
- 29:49speed up again, it's just not the same.
- 29:52It's the exact same as his initial acceleration.
- 29:54For Jeremiah Love, he can start and stop on a dime.
- 29:59He reminds me of Jameer Gibson that way.
- 30:01His reacceleration is elite and it allows him to get away from
- 30:05defenders. Additionally, he's very shifty
- 30:07just in general. He's able to make people miss
- 30:09with hurdles, jukes or just straight speed.
- 30:13However, with the jukes and the hurdles and stuff, I think
- 30:16that's kind of one of his areas of improvement because I think
- 30:19he tries too hard to make cool plays.
- 30:22He puts himself at risk to get hit and take big hits.
- 30:25I think he does that too much. Like when I watched his tape, I
- 30:28saw several hurdles where he hurdles 1 defender, but then as
- 30:32he's going down, he's getting tackled by three other defenders
- 30:34coming to the ground. I even saw plays where he's
- 30:37trying to hurdle people at the line of scrimmage when they're
- 30:39not even close to the goal line. So like, I think he just tries
- 30:42to be a little bit too flashy, but overall his ability to dodge
- 30:47defenders and it just accelerate through the hole is elite in my
- 30:51opinion, I think. This, I want to start by saying
- 30:54I'm never that high on running backs.
- 30:57I feel like for the most part, they have the shortest lifespan
- 31:00of any player in the NF, any position in the NFL.
- 31:03And I feel like most of the time they are kind of subject to the
- 31:06offensive scheme and the offensive line that they have.
- 31:10I look at Gentie and I'm like, look, everyone's still just kind
- 31:13of waiting to see what this kids all about.
- 31:15He's had a whole year, but they're still just kind of like,
- 31:17oh, just wait till he gets, you know, a good line.
- 31:19And I've seen too many running backs kind of come out of
- 31:23nowhere and have a great season that maybe yesterday weren't
- 31:27they weren't drafted very high. They hadn't gotten a shot
- 31:30somewhere else. And I think most of the time it
- 31:32comes down to situational football, whether that's just
- 31:35hey, he he was peaking at the right time.
- 31:38The offensive line was it, you know, just just humming at that
- 31:41point. I say that just say that I don't
- 31:45ever feel like most running backs should be taken that high
- 31:48unless they are genuinely A generational talent.
- 31:50And I do not feel that Jeremiah Love is a generational talent.
- 31:54I think he had a great season. I also would I completely agree
- 31:58with what Joel said. I I think that he is a little
- 32:00too lean. I think he gets a little too
- 32:02cavalier with his play style. I think that his physical
- 32:05attributes, his his physical talents has carried him very far
- 32:10thus far in life. I do not think that he will be
- 32:13able to rely on those solely in the NFLI think he might get
- 32:18broken too quick. I think he might get drafted to
- 32:21a team that needs him, which really means that they need an
- 32:25offensive line. If you had an offensive line,
- 32:28any running back would do. And that's usually my opinion.
- 32:30If, if, if you're a healthy young running back in the league
- 32:34and you did well in college and you are an NFL player, I feel
- 32:37like if you've got a good line like you, you can do it.
- 32:40And I feel the same way with quarterbacks in general, Like
- 32:43the the what Joel said about, oh, you know, Fernando Mendoza,
- 32:47if he's got, you know, if he's not pressured, he can make the
- 32:50throw. I'm like, hopefully every
- 32:52quarterback can do that, you know, and, and it really just
- 32:54comes down to like fields. Can, that's for sure.
- 32:57Yeah, but he just plays for The Jets and that's just the whole
- 33:00separate thing. But but, but, but I do feel
- 33:03like, you know, for the most part, it's not like, you know,
- 33:05hey, what you know, it's usually like, what are you willing to do
- 33:09when no one's watching? What like, what do you do when
- 33:12put to the test? Anyone can say like, oh, I'm
- 33:14going to, you know, I'm going to be a good person.
- 33:16I'm going to do this like, but what about when you're tempted?
- 33:18Like that's really, you know, that's what that, that's, you
- 33:20know, what, what you're made of. And so I see this is like, you
- 33:23know, hey, you know, if you're I'm kind of trailing off here,
- 33:26but you know, if a quarterback, you know, has to break out of
- 33:29the pocket, that's the kind of stuff like, let's see what you
- 33:32do. Let's see what natural intuition
- 33:34you have here. And I feel like Mendoza and
- 33:37Baker Mayfield going to have that where it's like every time
- 33:39they go on a little scrambles, like they're usually making
- 33:42something out of absolutely nothing, sometimes less than
- 33:44nothing. That being said, I do think
- 33:46Jeremiah Love has an insane talent.
- 33:49I think that he is very good, but I don't think that he is
- 33:53good enough to be top six in the draft.
- 33:57I think that there are better players at different positions
- 34:02than basically drafting a running back that isn't a
- 34:05generational talent this high up.
- 34:08He's not Adrian Peterson, right? He's not Adrian Peterson.
- 34:11He's not that type of running back.
- 34:13No, sorry, Will go ahead. No, I.
- 34:14Like this because I have a completely different take.
- 34:17I have AI, have a completely different take.
- 34:19I love drama. I love.
- 34:20I think he is maybe not the best, maybe that's not the best
- 34:25athlete in this draft. I think best athlete probably
- 34:28goes to Caleb down to Arvo Reese.
- 34:30But Jeremiah Love, like you mentioned, Jewel, his ability to
- 34:35start and then start and stop and start running.
- 34:39That's what makes him such a good receiver as well.
- 34:41He's able to swing out in the flat, stop moving, get the ball,
- 34:46make one cut and then he's downfield.
- 34:48And if you get him in the open field, he's gone.
- 34:51It is over. And I think that makes him
- 34:53incredibly useful to a lot of these teams, especially the bad
- 34:57teams that are in drafted. I truly think Jeremiah would go
- 35:00top ten, and I think that's what these bad teams need is a way to
- 35:03slow down defensive lineman because their offensive line is
- 35:07terrible. And so just real quick here, not
- 35:09that we're diving into stats or anything, but I'm going to do it
- 35:11anyway. His sophomore year, so 2024
- 35:15total rushing yards were 1125 at Notre Dame.
- 35:18That's 70 yards per game. The very next year, last year,
- 35:23his junior year, he ran for 1300 yards, 13172 yards, which was
- 35:28114 yards per game. His yards per game skyrocketed.
- 35:34And then you can say out of you say we're using them more, they
- 35:37were feeding the ball more, they played four or less games.
- 35:40All of that is contributing factors, but his, his ability
- 35:44and his just natural gift. Like you said, Avery carried him
- 35:49incredibly far. And when it comes to running
- 35:51backs, that's what you have to have as as you mentioned Jewel
- 35:54in high school, he was a state championship or state champion
- 35:58sprinter and that that is incredibly important.
- 36:01Also, as you mentioned, you kind of just parry everything.
- 36:03You said he runs upright, like upright, upright and leaving
- 36:07himself exposed. And that's why he gets hit so
- 36:09much. He also needs to work on his
- 36:10pass blocking. He can catch the ball well, but
- 36:12if he wants to be at every down back, he didn't have to work on
- 36:14his pass blocking as well. Something just to note real
- 36:16quick and then we'll move on. He's never had more than 200
- 36:19carries in a season, so although he does expose himself to the
- 36:22big hits they didn't like give him like an Ashton Genti type of
- 36:26workload. So that's a plus for him going
- 36:29into the NFL, especially if he goes to a team where it's a 2
- 36:31running back system such as the Lions where you've got Jameer
- 36:35Gibbs who's the speed guy and David Montgomery who's more of
- 36:37just a bruiser type of guy. So I think that would be the
- 36:40perfect situation for Jeremiah Love.
- 36:42Never more than 200 carries, but he did have more than 200
- 36:45touches. If he if he yes, the reception
- 36:48is yes, so. That's true, yes, but he's not
- 36:51Christian McCaffrey touching the ball 413 times.
- 36:54That's so. Much ball touching.
- 36:57Irresponsible amount. I know I said it before, but
- 37:00I'll say it again, an irresponsible amount. 3.
- 37:03Guys, 413 balls. In this case, one guy,
- 37:10Christian. Jeez.
- 37:12All right, so moving on to #4 this is Texas Tech edge David
- 37:16Bailey Avery, I know you're a huge fan of that Texas Tech
- 37:19team. Why don't you start us off on
- 37:21this one, hey? Avery, did you know who this guy
- 37:24was before working him up? I watched him.
- 37:27I watched him get abused. Am I to be?
- 37:29Honest, I had no idea. I could not have pointed this to
- 37:33this guy on the field. Could not have told you who this
- 37:36guy was. Never once turned his name the
- 37:37entire season. Now he.
- 37:40Was the guy. I understand that.
- 37:42I don't know, Ball, I get that. You watch.
- 37:44The game though, right? Who this?
- 37:45Guy was which guy, Which game? Oregon takes a second.
- 37:49Nope. OK, OK.
- 37:50Oh, OK, well then what I was going to say doesn't make any
- 37:52sense. So.
- 37:54Oh, I, well, for me, I, I, I do feel like this guy's really good
- 37:58from what I've seen, because I watched the Oregon game and then
- 38:01I watched some other games. What will specifically the
- 38:03defense where he's playing, It does feel like he has just raw
- 38:07talent. Just raw talent from what I've
- 38:10seen. The thing that gets me seems to
- 38:14be maybe self-control. He had some he had a couple dumb
- 38:18penalties playing Oregon that were just like, OK, you need to
- 38:22you need to get your shit in order.
- 38:23Sorry, dad. And I feel like it's, it's not
- 38:26only it, it's one of those, it's the controlling, the emotions
- 38:31that like Kate, this will hurt your team.
- 38:33It's not just like, oh, I'm getting upset.
- 38:34I'm throwing kind of a fit. It's stupid mistakes that he
- 38:38that he that he will make. I don't know if it's just the
- 38:40stuff I saw or whatever, but I, I do know that against Oregon,
- 38:45he was looking scary. He was looking very scary.
- 38:48And he's a big boy and he was way more athletic than I thought
- 38:52he would be. I'm going to keep this pretty
- 38:54brief. That being said, I, I do feel
- 38:56like he might be one of those guys kind of like Arvel, where
- 39:00it's like, hey, if you've got the right situation, the right
- 39:04mentors, the right veterans, the right coaches to show him what's
- 39:07what and to utilize him correctly, I think he's going to
- 39:10be great. I always think back to that Will
- 39:13Campbell interview he had in college where he's just saying,
- 39:16and I know this got used against him after the Super Bowl where
- 39:19he's saying if you, if you give up a sack every game, you're
- 39:22going to be working at Amazon. You know, and it's, it's one of
- 39:25those things where with him, if you're giving up a penalty or
- 39:30two every game, that's essentially like giving up a
- 39:33sack. It's like if, if you are
- 39:35committing these penalties, if you are making stupid decisions.
- 39:38And I'm not saying he's just out there being Dennis Rodman or
- 39:40anything, but it is one of those things that if you're not
- 39:43committing any penalties like that is worth its winning gold.
- 39:47Like if, if, if you go through your whole like the whole game
- 39:50and you guys haven't committed any penalties, that's insane.
- 39:53Going back to Carolina, they only committed 1 foul in the in
- 39:56the second-half. And you could say they oh, they
- 39:58should have, they should have given them more fouls.
- 40:00I know they didn't commit any, but they should have just given
- 40:02them to even it out. But that is absolutely how they
- 40:05ended up winning the game. So I feel like if he's utilized
- 40:09right, if he's guided right, I I feel like he would be incredible
- 40:12in the league. We talked.
- 40:13About this last year, right? A guy who has incredible
- 40:17athleticism, unrefined technique didn't I mean, the difference is
- 40:23the major differences is David Bailey put up the stats.
- 40:28Shamar Stewart did not put up the stats, but we were saying
- 40:32the same thing. This guy's incredibly athletic.
- 40:35He's unrefined. He's he needs this that and the
- 40:38other got to have to have help, but it did.
- 40:41The vast difference between the two is I think the high motor, I
- 40:45think explosiveness and high motor.
- 40:46David Bailey has it. He doesn't know the play right.
- 40:49This is the this is the part about defense that they hate the
- 40:52offense because the offense cheats, because they know where
- 40:54the plays going. They know the snap count, they
- 40:56know all that stuff. They know where they're supposed
- 40:58to be. The defense just has to read and
- 41:00react. David Bailey is beating tackles
- 41:03to their spot. He is beating them.
- 41:06You have a three-step. Quarterbacks are a three-step
- 41:09drop. I had to to said slide stare or
- 41:12not slide step back to kick step X amount of times.
- 41:15Did he make sure the pressure set to open the pocket up?
- 41:17David Bailey's beating him there.
- 41:18He doesn't even care where you're going.
- 41:20He's just going to beat you there.
- 41:21He's faster than you. He gets off the ball faster than
- 41:23you. He's taking his first step while
- 41:25you're still trying to snap out of your out of your stance.
- 41:28I think he's very good. Unfortunately I don't rank him
- 41:32very high because of his run game lack of ability.
- 41:39Really. He is not good in the run game I
- 41:41don't think. It's as bad as people think it
- 41:43is though. I don't think it's as good as
- 41:45you think it is. I don't think it no, see, see, I
- 41:48don't think it's elite. I don't think it's elite by any
- 41:50means. I think when he was at Stanford,
- 41:52where he played for three years before going to Texas Tech, I
- 41:56think it was not great there, but I think it improved at Texas
- 42:00Tech. I think he got better.
- 42:02I don't think he is a lead by any means.
- 42:05I think he can hold his own. But one of his areas of
- 42:08improvement is he does not have the anchor like Arville Reese
- 42:12has. So he does get driven back in
- 42:14the run game. I don't think it's as bad as
- 42:17people think it is, but I understand what you're talking
- 42:20about. I just don't think it's as bad
- 42:22as people think it is so. One thing that that we have on
- 42:25our strengths here is variety of pass rush moves.
- 42:28I actually watching film, I actually a little bit disagree
- 42:31with this. Now he loves the he loves the
- 42:35Dwight Freeny Spen move, loves it, loves it so much.
- 42:39He loves to use it inside. He'll go up against a guard and
- 42:42then use it on the inside of line square like inside guys,
- 42:46and it doesn't work there. I truly feel he's only got two,
- 42:50well, three real moves. If you call being faster than
- 42:53you a move, then he's got three. He's got, he's got the spin
- 42:58move, he's got the I'm faster than you move and he's got the
- 43:02pat, the the bull rush, we'll call it.
- 43:04Well, that's what it's called. But I just don't feel like he's,
- 43:07when it comes to let's say, a draw play.
- 43:10I just don't feel like the adjustments going to be there
- 43:12enough in college when you're doing that spin move on anybody,
- 43:18it's going to work most of the time.
- 43:19He's very fast on it. He gets his feet right all the
- 43:22time in the NFL. They're just going to push you
- 43:26in the back. You turn your back to them,
- 43:28they're just going to push you over.
- 43:30They're going to get you off balance and push you.
- 43:31The the talent and ability is just different with NFL
- 43:36offensive lineman and I don't think it's going to translate
- 43:38well, at least at the start. He will have to obviously
- 43:41training camps, OTAs, all of that.
- 43:44There is a significant room for improvement.
- 43:46I just don't think it translates well initially, and that's where
- 43:50technique and all that stuff's going to have to be taught.
- 43:53But whereas his raw talent and ability is something he already
- 43:57has. Yes.
- 43:58Yeah, I you, basically. Said everything I had on his
- 44:01strengths and everything but I'll just say this about David
- 44:04Bailey. David Bailey is a pass rush
- 44:06demon. He just finds ways to get to the
- 44:09quarterback. Any concerns that anybody has
- 44:11about his run defense should be heavily outweighed by his
- 44:14ability to get to the quarterback.
- 44:16In my opinion, it's much easier to build a great defense when
- 44:19you have the foundation of a pass rush versus the foundation
- 44:22of a run defense. It's easier to find an elite run
- 44:25defender than it is to find an elite pass rusher.
- 44:28And unfortunately, I'll use the Bucks as the perfect example
- 44:31here. They have a very solid
- 44:32foundation of a run defense, but what they lack is an elite pass
- 44:36rusher, which is why their defense was so bad down the
- 44:39stretch. And because they're in that
- 44:41situation now where they don't have an elite pass rusher, they
- 44:44either have to pay a crop load of money for a star pass rusher
- 44:47who's available, or they have to trade up in the draft to get an
- 44:50elite pass rusher because they're picking at 15.
- 44:53They're just not going to get one of the top pass rushers in
- 44:55the draft picking at 15. It's just not going to happen.
- 44:58So anybody who drafts David Bailey, forget about his run
- 45:02defense. Build the run defense around him
- 45:06because what he can do as a pass rusher will help your team win.
- 45:10Or just do a Texas balls. Down.
- 45:13Yes, just do a Texas texted and take him off the field on 1st
- 45:17down and 2nd and short. Just take him off.
- 45:20That's what they're doing. That's like we'll switch them
- 45:22out. We don't need you to do this.
- 45:24You have the skill set. This is like, is it?
- 45:28Well, I don't want to see the wrong name Seattle drafts from
- 45:30in the first round. Is it Bruce Irvin?
- 45:33They drafted him just to be a pass rusher, is that right?
- 45:36I know Bruce Irving played for them.
- 45:37I don't what year? What year.
- 45:40Well, this was a. While ago everyone questioned
- 45:42it, this was. Before we started the podcast.
- 45:44Will. This is way before we started
- 45:47the podcast. Yeah, Drafted.
- 45:48He's on the Dolphins now. I don't care about that.
- 45:52Yeah. First round pick 15 for Seattle.
- 45:54He's a pass rest specialist. That drafts him to pick 15 for a
- 45:57pass rest specialist and me and a lot of people who actually
- 46:01know what they're talking about. So not me.
- 46:03We're like, why are you doing this?
- 46:05What is happening? The problem is Seattle was ahead
- 46:08of the curve. They were doing that.
- 46:11That was Legion of Boom Arrow when they drafted him.
- 46:14They were, hey, we have all the help back here.
- 46:17Just get to that quarterback and make him make mistakes and and
- 46:20now the people, what people are doing, they're drafting people
- 46:23just to rush the passer. Passer.
- 46:25Wow, I'm having a rough time with that double S today.
- 46:27And it's like the mantra, hey, this guy is not that good at run
- 46:31defense. Doesn't matter.
- 46:32Draft him anyway, all right? Well, if you guys don't have
- 46:35anything else out there, I think we pretty much covered
- 46:37everything with David Bailey. So we'll move on to the fifth
- 46:40ranked player on the ESPN Top 50, which is Ohio State safety
- 46:44Caleb Downs. Now, we'll talk about this
- 46:47later, but I think Caleb Downs is the best player in the 2026
- 46:51NFL Draft, in my opinion, is the best player I.
- 46:54Also have him ranked at #1 OK. Well, that solves.
- 46:58Well, that solves unanimous #1 ranking there, so wow 6.
- 47:01Balls ranked him at #1. Yeah, Caleb Downs is a defensive
- 47:06chess piece who you can do pretty much anything with.
- 47:09You can put him at safety, you can put him at outside corner,
- 47:11you can put him at slot corner. You can use him as a linebacker.
- 47:14He can cover wide receivers. He can cover tight ends, he can
- 47:17cover running backs. He can tackle, he can blitz.
- 47:19He can do anything a defensive coordinator will ask him to do.
- 47:23He is the defensive leader of the secondary and he commands
- 47:26that secondary both pre and post snap.
- 47:29He's very good at diagnosing plays and so pre snap you'll see
- 47:33him aligning the secondary and getting everyone in position and
- 47:36then post snap you'll see him using his instincts to just make
- 47:40plays and he passes off the receivers and tight ends very
- 47:43well to his other teammates on the defense.
- 47:46I also think what I really like about him is how Ohio State used
- 47:50him around the line of scrimmage to just disrupt plays.
- 47:53You'll see him show looks like he's going to blitz and then
- 47:56when the ball is snapped he's doing something completely
- 47:58different from what the quarterback thought he was going
- 48:00to do and it just confuses the quarterback and that's what
- 48:03creates disruption at the line of scrimmage is what Caleb Downs
- 48:07does. So a defensive coordinator can
- 48:09pretty much do anything they want with this player.
- 48:12My only. Drawback to Caleb Downs is he,
- 48:17and it's it's hard to say this is a drawback, but he likes to
- 48:20make the big play and sometimes making the big plays at the
- 48:23detriment of looking like an idiot.
- 48:26You try to make the big tackles, you guys spends off, you try to
- 48:29go for the interception and like make a flash.
- 48:32Maybe not a flash interception, but you try to make a two, try
- 48:35too hard to make a play on the ball rather than just making a
- 48:37tackle. And then they catch it and score
- 48:39a touchdown and it's very boom and bust.
- 48:42The good news is that he booms a lot more than he busts.
- 48:45Very good fits into every scheme in the NFL.
- 48:48I'd like to be noted, the Rams just hired the Ohio State
- 48:53secondary coach as their secondary coach.
- 48:56So that sounds fun for me, hopefully.
- 48:59They'll be better than they were this year.
- 49:01Well. Hopefully they draft Caleb Downs
- 49:03that would be. Untrained a lot to.
- 49:05Get him that would be. Unfair.
- 49:06They have the capital to do it. Yes, we do, don't we?
- 49:11Well, it's so that doesn't happen.
- 49:12I don't even. Think they have to trade up that
- 49:14far. Truly.
- 49:14I don't think he's. Going to get drafted as high as
- 49:16he should be just based off of positional value because he's at
- 49:19safety, but he should get drafted higher than he will get
- 49:22drafted. What is what is really
- 49:25interesting is I think safety specifically is the biggest gap
- 49:31in the draft this year. I think that you've got Caleb
- 49:35Downs at one and there's a bigger gap between 1:00 and 2:00
- 49:38at safety than probably any other position.
- 49:40Now that may be a bit much to say, but the with how good Caleb
- 49:46Downs is versus how good the second guy is, I don't have it
- 49:48pulled up right in front of me. It is a significant difference.
- 49:51I. For a while now, this is going
- 49:54to sound like a very odd comparison, but he is always
- 49:58remind me in a way, in a way of Luke Kuechly.
- 50:02I know they are completely different players that play
- 50:05completely different positions, but Luke Kuechly was one of
- 50:08those guys. And, and, and, and this is, this
- 50:09is the comparison I'll make their physicality and they're
- 50:13more just, they're not just the intuition, but their
- 50:18decisiveness to be able to go in and make the play because
- 50:22usually that is what it takes. I mean, in, in a game of inches,
- 50:26I mean, if, if you can make the play quick, I mean, within a
- 50:30fraction of a second quicker than some other guy, like that's
- 50:33usually the difference between a tackle and interception or a
- 50:36sack. And this guy, I mean, whether
- 50:38it, whether he's making those big plays and sometimes, you
- 50:41know, coming up short and therefore kind of, you know,
- 50:43kind of penalizing the team because of it.
- 50:46I do feel like, especially as a defensive player, having the
- 50:50confidence and the know how. I mean, I, I do feel like that's
- 50:55usually what makes or breaks a player or separates great
- 50:58players from average players. I mean, I think about anything.
- 51:01I mean, I'm sure anyone watching this, I mean, if if you've ever,
- 51:05you know, started something new or you wanted to get into
- 51:08something and you're, you know, you're just kind of unsure if
- 51:10you don't really know how you're supposed to do it or whatever.
- 51:12But then once you get into it, you know, everything just starts
- 51:15clicking in your mind. You're a lot more confident.
- 51:18You don't have to think things through necessarily.
- 51:21It's just it's more just second nature and this guy just seems
- 51:24to have that second nature down to his first nature.
- 51:27It's just going after it. And so I really like that.
- 51:30I think that's, again, they play different positions, very
- 51:33different players, but that's what I see when I've seen him
- 51:36play best player. In the draft, best player in the
- 51:39draft. All right, let's move on to the
- 51:41number six player, which is Ruben Bayne from Miami.
- 51:46Now, Ruben Bain is one of the most controversial prospects in
- 51:49the NFL draft, in my opinion. A lot of people think he's
- 51:51great. A lot of people think he's a
- 51:53bust, and maybe bust is a little bit harsh, but I don't think
- 51:56he's ever going to be a top pass rusher in the NFL.
- 51:58In my opinion, the biggest knock on Ruben Bayne is he's got short
- 52:02arms. We don't know his actual
- 52:03measurements yet, but many believe his arms are going to be
- 52:06measured below 31 inches. And just to tell you guys why
- 52:09that's important, here's a list of edge defenders with sub 31
- 52:13inch arms since 1999 to have a double digit sack season or make
- 52:17a Pro Bowl. None.
- 52:20That's it. None.
- 52:22Not one single person, not one. It just doesn't happen.
- 52:26You can overcome that stuff in college against lesser talent,
- 52:29but in the NFL you are going to have problems as a pass rusher
- 52:33if you have that short of arms. And Ruben Bang does miss a lot
- 52:36of tackles and he doesn't finish plays because his length just
- 52:40doesn't allow him to do so. To put this in perspective last.
- 52:43Year Will Campbell got a lot of knocks for his arm length,
- 52:47right? Like that was a big thing last
- 52:48year with Will Campbell. His arms measured at 32 and 5/8.
- 52:52We're talking about Will Campbell measuring it under 31.
- 52:55That's over an inch and a half of of length that even Will
- 52:59Campbell has on him, who had notably short arms.
- 53:02It's very short. I am.
- 53:04Not he got. Short arms, boy.
- 53:07Maybe this is less of an unpopular opinion than I saw.
- 53:09I think Ruben Bain is fine. He's a good player.
- 53:12He's he's very athletic. He's he's going to be average in
- 53:18the NFL at best. I just don't see, I just don't
- 53:22see on tape a guy that's going to be an elite pass rusher.
- 53:25I don't, I don't see it. I.
- 53:27Think, and this is this is a tinfoil hat opinion.
- 53:32I think he should put on between 25 and 40 lbs and switch a
- 53:36defensive tackle. Yes, I think he should get in
- 53:40the middle and just eat blocks. Stop trying to because all
- 53:46right, here we go. This is seeing some hate on the
- 53:49Internet. When I watch this guy play, I
- 53:53don't see high motor. I don't see high efforts.
- 53:57His forty time I wrote it down is 472.
- 54:01So when people get outside of him, he's the edge guy.
- 54:04By the way, when you get outside of him, the only way he's
- 54:07catching up to you is if you stop to Juke or cut or something
- 54:10like that. He's not catching up to make to
- 54:12make the play. And I regularly see him not
- 54:16trying. Now there are plays where he
- 54:18does try. And if you watch highlight
- 54:19reels, of course he's, well, he's in every highlight reel,
- 54:22right? Because it's a highlight reel
- 54:23for him. Of course he's there.
- 54:24Of course he's making the play. But even in some highlight reels
- 54:27I'm watching, I say this is not really, he didn't really do
- 54:31anything here. He just kind of walked out there
- 54:33and the guy was still standing there.
- 54:34So we made the tackle. I, I don't like what he has
- 54:38going on. I think he has tendencies to
- 54:40play, take plays off when it's going away from him or if it's
- 54:44already passed him. I I just, I, I think he he needs
- 54:49to bulk up, gain weight and switch to the middle and then I
- 54:54think he'd be a pretty good D tackle eating things up.
- 54:56He likes to jump gaps a lot already, so he's already good at
- 54:59that. He's going to have an issue
- 55:00moving guys off the block, but centers and guards have shorter
- 55:04arms and tackles do normally. So he's going to have a better
- 55:07time and they're doing that. So that's my opinion.
- 55:12I like Will. Steak I I also kind of agree
- 55:14that like, I most of his highlights to me just resemble
- 55:19just kind of being at the right place, the right time, maybe
- 55:22taking on some weaker, you know, opponents.
- 55:25It's one of those things where I do agree with Will.
- 55:28In fact, I hadn't even thought of it.
- 55:29It's like, dude, yeah, put on 40 lbs.
- 55:31Just eat up the middle like that.
- 55:34Maybe maybe that is, you know, what it what he should be doing,
- 55:37but he does kind of look a little bit like a wild card,
- 55:41Like you really don't know what you're going to get.
- 55:43Like you are kind of rolling the dice on this guy, especially
- 55:46this high up in the draft. But yeah, I like, I like wheels
- 55:48take a lot. Sorry, Jewel, this feels like a
- 55:51Browns draft pick. They're going to pick him at #6
- 55:54just like a like a yeah, Browns. We got him.
- 55:58I've seen a couple mock drafts of him go into the Titans.
- 56:01I don't think Robert Solid takes him.
- 56:04I don't think Solid looks at this guy and goes, yeah, I want
- 56:07him. But I can see, I can see this is
- 56:09this is like the quintessential first pick for the drafts for
- 56:14the Browns. Excuse me, but the drafts.
- 56:16The drafts, no, here's what I'll say.
- 56:21I'll say one last kind of negative thing about Ruben Bayne
- 56:23and then I'll say some positives because there are some positives
- 56:26with Ruben Bayne as well. To me, there is a difference
- 56:29between a sack artist and a disruptor.
- 56:31Getting to the quarterback is a skill and there's a big
- 56:34difference between having the skill to get to the quarterback
- 56:37and being able to disrupt the quarterback.
- 56:39To me at the NFL level, Ruben Bayne will be a disruptor, but
- 56:43he will not be a sack artist. There are many plays where you
- 56:46see him get in there initially because he does have a good
- 56:49first step, but then after that, if the quarterback moves away
- 56:52from him, like Will mentioned, he just stops.
- 56:55He's not in the play once the play moves away from him.
- 56:58So I'm going to get a lot of hate for this and Will already
- 57:00mentioned this other player, but I think there's a comparison
- 57:03more so between these two players than the comparison Will
- 57:07made. There is a comparison between
- 57:09Ruben Bayne and Shamar Stewart. Now, Ruben Bayne does have
- 57:12better stats than Shamar Stewart, but Ruben Bayne and
- 57:15Shamar Stewart are similar because they can both disrupt
- 57:17plays. They can move quarterbacks off
- 57:19their spot, they can force them out of the pocket, but there's
- 57:22just too many times when you see them misplace.
- 57:25They can disrupt plays, but they don't make the play.
- 57:27They don't. They don't finish the play.
- 57:29So to me those two are very similar in that way is that they
- 57:33are disruptors, but they are not pass rushers.
- 57:36They don't have that ability to get to the quarterback as they
- 57:40should when they're being drafted as high as they are.
- 57:43Just to get to some positive things here, though, one of the
- 57:46best things about Ruben Bayne is that he already has NFL level
- 57:51coaching. His coach, his defensive line
- 57:53coach, is Hall of Fame pass rusher Jason Taylor.
- 57:58And because of that, he has been taught how to use his hands
- 58:01very, very well. Both he and Hakim Mesador, who
- 58:05we'll get to in a couple weeks because I think he's ranked like
- 58:0718th, 17th or 18th on the big board for ESPN.
- 58:11These guys know how to use their hands very, very well.
- 58:14They have violent hands to get the offensive lineman off of
- 58:18them in order to help them make plays.
- 58:21So I think that is a positive. And Ruben Bain is very powerful,
- 58:24which he uses in the run game, which goes back to what Will
- 58:27mentioned about putting him inside and putting on weight.
- 58:29He is a very good run defender. He doesn't get moved in the
- 58:33like, He doesn't get moved back in the run game.
- 58:35So I think that is a really good positive for him.
- 58:37I just don't like his pass rush ability.
- 58:40Like if you're drafting a guy that high, you don't want him
- 58:43just to be a run defender. You want him to have more pass
- 58:46rush ability. And I don't see Ruben Bayne
- 58:49having that ability at the NFL level.
- 58:52Do you guys have anything else to add before we rank these guys
- 58:55one through 6? I was.
- 58:57Shocked that he was so low on ESPN's top 50.
- 59:01I I full game. Yeah, Ruben Bay, I expect him to
- 59:05be higher on that list. Yeah, a lot.
- 59:06Of people have him as the number one pass rusher.
- 59:09I don't I haven't seen him as the number one player, but I
- 59:12have definitely seen him a lot higher than I mean it's not
- 59:14really a lot higher because there's only 5 people ahead of
- 59:17him, but I've seen him higher than 6 for sure.
- 59:20So OK, so here's where it gets interesting.
- 59:23Now we're going to rank these players one through 6.
- 59:25This is a collective top 50 big board that we are going to make
- 59:28as a podcast versus ESP NS top 50 big board.
- 59:31So right now we're only going to have six players on it.
- 59:34But this is an interesting conversation that we need to
- 59:36have because it really depends on what criteria you guys want
- 59:39to use to rank these guys. Do you guys want to rank them
- 59:42based off of positional value? Do you want to rank them based
- 59:45off of potential or do you want to rank them based off of who
- 59:49the best player is right now? I think I, I think for how well
- 59:54they're going to do in the league, so potential, OK.
- 59:57So I said that Caleb Downs is the best player, but I think
- 1:00:01that there is a case for Arville Reese as well because Caleb
- 1:00:05Downs to me is an NFL ready player right now.
- 1:00:09He will step onto an NFL field and he'll look like he's been
- 1:00:12there for five years already. Like you won't have to worry
- 1:00:14about Caleb Downs at all. However, I think with Arville
- 1:00:17Reese. I think he has a higher ceiling
- 1:00:19than Downs, but he's only got one year of starting experience
- 1:00:23and so you can tell there are some areas where it may take him
- 1:00:26some time to adjust to the NFL level.
- 1:00:28So I think Downs has a higher floor, but I think Reese has a
- 1:00:32higher ceiling. If he can fulfill his potential,
- 1:00:35I still. Like Downs over Reese, I do too,
- 1:00:37just because. I feel like he is the more NFL
- 1:00:40ready player. Like he's going to, like I said,
- 1:00:42he's going to step onto an NFL field, you're going to put him
- 1:00:45there and he's just going to make plays.
- 1:00:46He's going to look like he's been in the league for five plus
- 1:00:48years already. So to me, I think Caleb Downs is
- 1:00:52the number one player. I agree.
- 1:00:54OK. So who would you guys put in #2?
- 1:00:56League Arbell I. Also think it's Arbell Reese, I
- 1:00:59don't know how. To take care everything I hate,
- 1:01:01I have Jeremy. I love it.
- 1:01:02My #2I. Do hate that you're right,
- 1:01:05you're good. I have RV Reese at #3 so I'm
- 1:01:09good with RV Reese. I mean, this is how we it's give
- 1:01:11and take, right? I'm good with RV Reese being at
- 1:01:13at at 2:00. But based off of like I guess
- 1:01:18situational potential, depending on where Jeremiah life goes, he
- 1:01:21can generally be in talks for working here, right?
- 1:01:25Not that not that RV Reese can't and Caleb Downs can't, but I I
- 1:01:29like, I think I just think Jeremiah loves you have a better
- 1:01:32NFL career. It comes to stats, but again,
- 1:01:35that's a lot easier to cherry pick for offense and defense.
- 1:01:38How good would you say if if this guy, if Love, has the exact
- 1:01:43same career as Todd Gurley, would you still rank him there?
- 1:01:48Do you not remember how good Todd Gurley was?
- 1:01:50I think that's. Worth it I do.
- 1:01:52Remember. Distantly.
- 1:01:53Yeah, yeah, distantly. He wasn't even.
- 1:01:55Played long enough. That.
- 1:01:58That is. Kind of how I see him a little
- 1:02:00bit. I, I, I think he has the
- 1:02:01potential to peek as good as girly, but I do think that his,
- 1:02:05I think his floor is a lot lower, not, not than girly.
- 1:02:09I think that the floor is basically girly, but I, I, I
- 1:02:12just don't see him. It's really just a running back
- 1:02:15bias for me. I think I've got him lower at
- 1:02:18six. We may have to agree to disagree
- 1:02:22though. That's a positional value.
- 1:02:24Thing right there. So that does come into play when
- 1:02:26we're ranking these things. So I mean, Will, if you're cool
- 1:02:29with Arvo Reese, I think Arvo Reese should be at #2 I am.
- 1:02:33Good with that. OK, so Avery, who do you have at
- 1:02:36#3? I've got.
- 1:02:38Mendoza I. Also have Mendoza at #3 but will
- 1:02:41you? Have 4:00 because I've got
- 1:02:43Jeremiah. I love Empire so I would.
- 1:02:47Be I would be willing to concede somewhere here, but I've got
- 1:02:52some other guys creeping into this, you know, in the next
- 1:02:55following weeks, you know, I've got I've got some shake UPS.
- 1:02:59I like it. I.
- 1:03:00Guess at this point I I realize now I'll have to come with some
- 1:03:03persuasive arguments because it's not just my opinion and my
- 1:03:07vibes, it's also like I got to, I got to convince here.
- 1:03:09I got to. It's the Shark Tank, you know, I
- 1:03:12got a. There's a 100% chance that our
- 1:03:15top 6 this week is not top 6 next week, yeah.
- 1:03:19Absolutely, Absolutely. 100% chance, 100%.
- 1:03:22Yeah, yeah. Cool.
- 1:03:23I think we're all in agreement there.
- 1:03:24All right. So we're putting Fernando at
- 1:03:263:00. Yeah, yeah, OK.
- 1:03:28Cool. All right, so we have David
- 1:03:31Bailey, Jeremiah Love and Reuben Bain.
- 1:03:33Does anybody not think Reuben Bain should be at six?
- 1:03:37I have David. Bailey at six, right?
- 1:03:40But just for this week. But I I think both of these guys
- 1:03:43are not top 6 people, but we've only got 6 numbers so I'm
- 1:03:49curious. Well, why are you putting Ruben
- 1:03:50Bayne over David Bailey? Is it just because of the run
- 1:03:53defense? Yeah.
- 1:03:54I think I think Ruben Bayne is a more so if you look at those
- 1:03:59like octagonal graphs that have the the spider webs out like you
- 1:04:04know, in 2K you're looking at how you're in Madden, how good
- 1:04:06the player is. I think that David Bailey spikes
- 1:04:10a lot more in pass rushing everything like that, but I
- 1:04:15think his overall would be less than Reuben Baines.
- 1:04:18If we're talking Madden stats, he would have a higher
- 1:04:22individual stat than Reuben Bain would have across the board.
- 1:04:26I think his overall would be lower.
- 1:04:28It's like you're looking for a receiver.
- 1:04:29I don't care what his catch rating is.
- 1:04:30He just needs 99 speed. All right, well.
- 1:04:35I tried to make it easy by trying to get us to be in
- 1:04:37agreement on him at six, but maybe not so much.
- 1:04:40So I have him at six, but where do you guys have Reuben Bain?
- 1:04:45You have him at? I have him at 5:00.
- 1:04:48Five. OK, I have him at 5:00.
- 1:04:50OK, I'm. Cool with Reuben Bain at 5:00,
- 1:04:52but we need to figure out who's our four so.
- 1:04:55We've got you're my love, right? You're my love, Avery.
- 1:04:58Are you cool with that? All concede that for the week,
- 1:05:01Yeah, that's where. That's where I have Jeremiah.
- 1:05:03Love, Jeremiah. Love's a better athlete than,
- 1:05:06and I'm well comfortable saying this, he's a better athlete and
- 1:05:09a better football player than both Ruben Bayne and David
- 1:05:15Bailey, I guess. My my thing is, is more just
- 1:05:18like I think there are a lot of skill players that that are
- 1:05:21really just subject to the other players around them.
- 1:05:24And I think that pass rushers are a little harder to come by.
- 1:05:28And I think that the lifespan of the player, I kind of edge out
- 1:05:33to the edge rushers, the pass rushers or just, you know, run
- 1:05:36stoppers. So for that reason, I am get, I
- 1:05:39am, you know, biased against the running backs a little bit more,
- 1:05:42but we can talk this out in other weeks.
- 1:05:45Does this help? Avery, I think both Reuben Bayne
- 1:05:48and David Bailey get drafted before Jeremiah Love.
- 1:05:51I think they both would think I. Think that would be a smart
- 1:05:53thing for the for the for the teams to do.
- 1:05:55I think that would be smart for them to do.
- 1:05:57Yeah. He.
- 1:05:57Just drafted above them. I don't think he's, I don't
- 1:06:00think Ruben Bain or David Bailey are better players.
- 1:06:03Well, let. Me ask you, do you think that
- 1:06:04the teams that draft them above him, do you think that in 10
- 1:06:10years they regret that? No.
- 1:06:12Because. Because.
- 1:06:13I guess, I guess that's my rubric it it's.
- 1:06:15All about team fit at this point.
- 1:06:17Now we're arguing team fit over how good a player is.
- 1:06:20And like you said, it's easier. Well, you didn't really say
- 1:06:23this. You kind of hinted at this.
- 1:06:24It's easier to find a good enough running back to where you
- 1:06:27don't have to draft one in the top 10.
- 1:06:29And so I mean, look at Rico Download this year.
- 1:06:32He came out and exploded for Carolina and so it's it's easy
- 1:06:36enough to find a guy who's a a good scheme fit guy to do really
- 1:06:40well where you don't have to use your top ten pick for.
- 1:06:43So I I agree with what you're saying, but in sheer athletics,
- 1:06:47I I that's where I think that Jeremiah Love fits in our top
- 1:06:51five. That, on sheer athleticism, is
- 1:06:53why it hasn't been too. Based on that rubric, I I agree.
- 1:06:57I agree with you. I got it.
- 1:06:58I I did, I came with an argument that you can agree with.
- 1:07:03We'll see if Avery does comprise to you next week.
- 1:07:06And hey, I'm willing to listen to the arguments I.
- 1:07:09Purposely did not did not pay attention to anyone else.
- 1:07:12I I solely focused on these guys so that next week I could maybe
- 1:07:17shuffle this up. So I'm trying to keep it
- 1:07:20exciting. All right.
- 1:07:22So our top 6, so we've got one, is Caleb Downs, 2 is our real
- 1:07:26Reese. We've got Fernando Mendoza at
- 1:07:283:00 and then Jeremiah Love at four, Ruben Bain's going at 5:00
- 1:07:33and then David Bailey at six. Is that correct?
- 1:07:34I'm cool with that for now. Yep, for now.
- 1:07:37OK, 4 hours. You got word for that right?
- 1:07:40There's. Only top 6.
- 1:07:41There's only six players on our big board 6.
- 1:07:43Numbers. Exactly.
- 1:07:45So next week we'll shake it up, but for now we've only got 6.
- 1:07:48So yeah. Do you guys have anything else
- 1:07:50you want to add before we close out the show?
- 1:07:53Only 44 more players. Only 44 more see once.
- 1:08:02We get down to like the lower part, like probably like range
- 1:08:05like 40 to 50. There might be some players that
- 1:08:07we put into the top 50 that are not on ESPN top 50.
- 1:08:11I already know one. I won't reveal it now, but I
- 1:08:13already know one for sure that I am 100% putting in the top 50
- 1:08:16that ESPN does not have in the top 50.
- 1:08:18He is my second favorite player that I've scouted so far.
- 1:08:21He 100% deserves to be in the top 50 and ESPN does not have
- 1:08:24him there. So yeah, once we get down to
- 1:08:27that range, we'll play with that a little bit more, but for now
- 1:08:30we've only got to six. So that's all we got on today's
- 1:08:32episode guys. But next week, we're going to be
- 1:08:34ranking the top 12 players on ESP NS top big board.
- 1:08:39So we'll talk about players 7 through 12 and then we will
- 1:08:42adjust them in our top 12. And so we'll be doing that next
- 1:08:45week. Stay tuned for that.
- 1:08:47And as always, guys, don't forget to keep your balls played
- 1:08:49with. We'll see you next time.
- 1:08:51Bye now. Y'all so Mark Davis's haircut
- 1:08:53still sucks?
