- 0:27Speaker 1: and welcome to the podcast. I'm Josh Clark. There is
- 0:30Speaker 1: Chuck Britt. Why you tickled, Josh? I'm just you know
- 0:34Speaker 1: exactly why things take place and transpire before the stuff
- 0:38Speaker 1: starts recording, true, and we just bring it exactly and
- 0:41Speaker 1: sometimes we bring it laughing. It's a rainbow kind of
- 0:44Speaker 1: world out there. So Chuck, let's talk about whether or
- 0:47Speaker 1: not we landed on the moon. I have no intro
- 0:49Speaker 1: for this one. Let's just get into it. Okay, Yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 1: let's go to town. There are people that think that
- 0:55Speaker 1: we did not land on the moon in nine that
- 0:57Speaker 1: is true, and actually there is a guy who worked
- 1:01Speaker 1: for oh, I don't remember. Maybe the rocket Dine Systems
- 1:09Speaker 1: rocket Dine Systems, which I believe it's a private, private
- 1:11Speaker 1: aerospace contractor UM. A guy named Bill Casing UH he
- 1:15Speaker 1: wrote technical publications for that company, and in UH he
- 1:22Speaker 1: calculated nine He calculated there was a point zero zero
- 1:27Speaker 1: one four percent chance of landing a man on the
- 1:30Speaker 1: moon and returning him safely home. He was wrong. Ten
- 1:34Speaker 1: years later we had been on the moon returned him
- 1:37Speaker 1: safely home, we think, or yeah, or did we UM?
- 1:41Speaker 1: I don't think we should take a conspiratorial tone. I
- 1:44Speaker 1: also don't think we should take pot shots at the
- 1:46Speaker 1: crackpots who think this. So what are we going to
- 1:49Speaker 1: talk about? Well, I think we can discuss the merits
- 1:51Speaker 1: of this stuff. In my opinion, skepticism goes both ways, right,
- 1:56Speaker 1: Skepticism is always focused on the people who question reality,
- 2:02Speaker 1: and I think that's I think that's BS. I think
- 2:04Speaker 1: I think there's plenty of times where you can question
- 2:08Speaker 1: what's what's being VEGGI Yeah, So I'm I'm big on that. Actually,
- 2:11Speaker 1: And if I was around in nineteen nine, I probably
- 2:15Speaker 1: would have um, you know, not probably about in nineteen
- 2:18Speaker 1: SI you would have been woodstock the whole ship bang
- 2:20Speaker 1: maybe So yeah, so um, all right, let's get down
- 2:23Speaker 1: to it. All right, let's do it. Do you want
- 2:26Speaker 1: to tee off? Uh? Yeah, um, Like we said, a
- 2:29Speaker 1: lot of people, well I don't know how many, but
- 2:31Speaker 1: there was a conspiracy theory going around still is today
- 2:34Speaker 1: that we never landed on the Moon. And there are
- 2:36Speaker 1: quite a few points that people make to try and
- 2:38Speaker 1: back this up from the footage of the moon landing,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and they basically think it was staged for the purposes of, um,
- 2:47Speaker 1: making the Russians so disheveled at the fact that we
- 2:50Speaker 1: got to the Moon before they did that they would
- 2:53Speaker 1: scrap their program and just say, you know, the Americans
- 2:55Speaker 1: are so far ahead of us because they're already on
- 2:58Speaker 1: the moon and we can't do that. Well, not just
- 2:59Speaker 1: that now, chinal pride as well, like you know, back
- 3:02Speaker 1: in the in the sixties. This is like at the
- 3:05Speaker 1: height of the Cold War, and basically the Soviet Union
- 3:09Speaker 1: and the United States spent much in political and actual,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you know, financial capital to make one another look bad.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It was pretty much the role of each of these
- 3:19Speaker 1: nations that the world was polarized, and what better way
- 3:23Speaker 1: to make the other one look like jackass than by
- 3:26Speaker 1: beating him to the moon. There's the space race. Yeah, um,
- 3:30Speaker 1: so I see that the theory behind this, this whole thing. Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 1: but you know, Kennedy said, in what nineteen sixty we're
- 3:37Speaker 1: going to put a man on the moon, And by
- 3:39Speaker 1: nineteen sixty nine we had that is enormous, Like, we
- 3:42Speaker 1: had no moon landing program right by then, We've been
- 3:47Speaker 1: shooting satellites into space and we had men who had
- 3:50Speaker 1: orbited by then. But within nine years we actually landed
- 3:54Speaker 1: somebody on the Moon. Right, And this is nineteen sixties
- 3:56Speaker 1: technology too, so it's not I mean, today it would
- 3:58Speaker 1: seem like that would be the hardest thing in the
- 4:00Speaker 1: world to do, but back then it was just unheard of. Right. Okay, So,
- 4:03Speaker 1: like you said, most of the bones of contention that
- 4:06Speaker 1: people used to pick this idea apart um are are
- 4:10Speaker 1: based on the footage, correct of you know, there's actual
- 4:14Speaker 1: evidence here saying you know what, what what's going on?
- 4:17Speaker 1: What does this explain this? Right? There's five main points
- 4:19Speaker 1: that are generally brought up in this discussion. There's actually
- 4:22Speaker 1: a few more, but yeah, in this article there, Yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 1: there's there's five are our esteem colleague John Fuller waited
- 4:28Speaker 1: through the muck the muck and picked out the best ones,
- 4:32Speaker 1: polished him off. There you go, let's talk about him. Okay,
- 4:36Speaker 1: what's the first one. Well, the first one that I'd
- 4:38Speaker 1: like to mention is actually not the first one. The
- 4:40Speaker 1: first one I'd like to mention is the quote unquote
- 4:43Speaker 1: sea rock is in the letter C. Yeah. Have you
- 4:45Speaker 1: seen the C rock? Yeah? I looked up a picture
- 4:47Speaker 1: today and uh, basically, there's a rock in the foreground
- 4:51Speaker 1: of a photo and the shot is of one of
- 4:53Speaker 1: the astronauts walking away from camera towards the lunar rover,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and there's a big moon rock in the foreground that
- 4:59Speaker 1: looks like it's got a very clear letter C on it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: It is clearly a C. It's clearly I mean, it
- 5:04Speaker 1: doesn't look like some sort of aberration or anything like that.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's just it looks like the letter C carved into it,
- 5:11Speaker 1: or maybe like stamped with like metal and a chisel
- 5:14Speaker 1: perhaps something like that. But it definitely looks like a C.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I would agree with you, And so, of course, theorists,
- 5:21Speaker 1: we're not going to calm conspiracy theorist's calm theorists. Theorists
- 5:24Speaker 1: think that this could be a prop, like a stage prop,
- 5:27Speaker 1: that was marked. You know, moon Rock Cy put it here,
- 5:30Speaker 1: Moon rock By put it there, and then it just
- 5:32Speaker 1: kind of got by the camera department who was filming
- 5:35Speaker 1: this big hoax. And I like that you you put
- 5:39Speaker 1: that one first, because this one, in my opinion, has
- 5:41Speaker 1: the weakest explanation from the scientific community in NASA for
- 5:46Speaker 1: that C on that rock spill it. And that is
- 5:48Speaker 1: basically that there was a hair on the lens or
- 5:52Speaker 1: something like that that had to do with UM when
- 5:55Speaker 1: the photo was taking it. That's not really a C.
- 5:57Speaker 1: It's like a hair or scratch. It doesn't look anything
- 6:01Speaker 1: like a hair or scratch. It looks like clearly it
- 6:04Speaker 1: looks like a cue. That that is definitely one UM.
- 6:10Speaker 1: One that I like is the the different shadow lengths. Correct,
- 6:15Speaker 1: have you seen pictures of them with the different shadows
- 6:18Speaker 1: have not their wildly varying in length, And there's you know,
- 6:21Speaker 1: they're there guys standing next to one another on the Moon,
- 6:25Speaker 1: but and then one shadow is ten ft long the
- 6:27Speaker 1: others is forty. So I guess the the the basic
- 6:32Speaker 1: basic idea behind this is evidence that there the moon
- 6:35Speaker 1: landing was faked, is that um, there was some sort
- 6:39Speaker 1: of faulty studio light. Yeah, Like, the basic idea is
- 6:45Speaker 1: that this is all done on a sound stage. Now,
- 6:47Speaker 1: in my opinion, this one is actually the weakest argument
- 6:51Speaker 1: for the moon landing being fake. Uh. The first of all,
- 6:56Speaker 1: the moon is not a flat, smooth surface. It's very
- 6:59Speaker 1: rock and dusty, and it has all sorts of features
- 7:03Speaker 1: to it. Uh. And anybody who has ever stood, you know,
- 7:07Speaker 1: on a along a desert or something similar to the
- 7:10Speaker 1: moon and seen their shadow, they've noticed that the shadows
- 7:14Speaker 1: don't always act the same way. Um. And what's more,
- 7:19Speaker 1: in my opinion, if NASA was actually going to go
- 7:22Speaker 1: to the trouble of faking a moon landing, they would
- 7:25Speaker 1: have noticed this, and they wouldn't have released it with
- 7:28Speaker 1: with the with the with the shadows like that badly off.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That's my big point. As a matter of fact, they
- 7:34Speaker 1: probably would have gone the other way and and the
- 7:37Speaker 1: shadows would have looked uniform or something like that, right exactly.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That's my point. This is ninety nine. This wasn't like
- 7:42Speaker 1: n you know, they were actually making I looked up
- 7:46Speaker 1: films that released in nineteen sixty nine, and you know
- 7:48Speaker 1: some really good movies you got French connection was that
- 7:50Speaker 1: sixty nine. No, like Putch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
- 7:53Speaker 1: that that kind of thing. But anyway, some really good
- 7:56Speaker 1: movies and filmmaking an advance to the point where they
- 7:58Speaker 1: could have easy easily gotten someone to make the shadows
- 8:03Speaker 1: match and light it properly, and that they wouldn't have
- 8:06Speaker 1: had some cracked team of like you know, interns out
- 8:08Speaker 1: there filming the moon landing. You know, so I don't know.
- 8:11Speaker 1: That didn't hold water with me. Well what's your what's
- 8:13Speaker 1: your next best argument or a Well, I'm gonna go
- 8:17Speaker 1: ahead and skip over to um the American flag. A
- 8:21Speaker 1: lot of people um seem to notice that when they're
- 8:24Speaker 1: putting the flag up that it appears to flap in
- 8:26Speaker 1: the breeze. Of course, this is on the Moon. There's
- 8:29Speaker 1: no atmosphere, so there would be no breeze. Uh. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: what they say, what the government says, is is that
- 8:36Speaker 1: this was a special flag. And actually I didn't know this.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I felt like a dummy. It's got a wire running
- 8:40Speaker 1: across the top of it, which is why it hangs
- 8:42Speaker 1: uh square, Otherwise it would just hang motionless. Right, So
- 8:49Speaker 1: when you have a flag with like a taught wire
- 8:51Speaker 1: and you're putting it up. It's it's gonna move around
- 8:54Speaker 1: a little bit more, and it's not gonna look like
- 8:56Speaker 1: a regular flag. So it's not, in fact the breeze blowing.
- 8:59Speaker 1: It's just you know, by virtue of the fact that
- 9:01Speaker 1: I had a wire running through it. Right. And as
- 9:03Speaker 1: Fuller points out, if they if they had created a
- 9:05Speaker 1: sound stage UM and filmed it like this and and
- 9:09Speaker 1: the wire wasn't in there, they would have had to
- 9:11Speaker 1: have created a vacuum in it, which would have been
- 9:14Speaker 1: really difficult. Another part of that that has to do
- 9:18Speaker 1: with that vacuum sound stage that would have been virtually
- 9:21Speaker 1: impossible to do UM is the dust that's being kicked
- 9:24Speaker 1: up right when they walk. When they walk or when
- 9:27Speaker 1: the lunar rover is tires the tires are spinning. Um.
- 9:31Speaker 1: This is not so much in a piece of evidence,
- 9:33Speaker 1: but in an explanation or something that people have noticed
- 9:37Speaker 1: is that supposedly it's it's kind of clouding UM and
- 9:41Speaker 1: and apparently it hasn't. It doesn't cloud at all. The
- 9:43Speaker 1: dust is kicked up and it runs its course in
- 9:46Speaker 1: that thin atmosphere and then falls back down. And so
- 9:50Speaker 1: that that kind of actually proves that this thing either
- 9:53Speaker 1: was filmed in the sound stage, within a vacuumized sound stage,
- 9:58Speaker 1: or on the moon. Acca Trazer would actually kind of
- 10:01Speaker 1: suggest the vacuumized sound stage, I think at that point.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But still, well, they can create an entire vacuum a
- 10:07Speaker 1: sound stage, but they can't light it properly. Is that
- 10:09Speaker 1: that's a great point, Chuck, Come on, that's a great point,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and that kind of reveals what's going on with this.
- 10:14Speaker 1: This is never going to be resolved to everyone's satisfaction.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I think. I think people enjoy kind of poking at
- 10:21Speaker 1: one another on this. Yeah, like making NASA scientists respond
- 10:25Speaker 1: like they don't have anything else today. Yeah. The fact that, um,
- 10:29Speaker 1: they could never have pulled this off though they can't,
- 10:31Speaker 1: They couldn't have duped the entire scientific community all over
- 10:35Speaker 1: the world. Not only that, yes, Russia as well, Like
- 10:39Speaker 1: you would drink if Russia would go public with this
- 10:44Speaker 1: faster than you could say, lick it split. Um, there
- 10:47Speaker 1: is somebody has actually explained that as well. UM. Supposedly
- 10:52Speaker 1: right after the moon landing, UM, a guy named Ralph
- 10:56Speaker 1: Renee points out that UM, the US or did sending
- 11:02Speaker 1: very secret humanitarian aid massive amounts of grain to the
- 11:06Speaker 1: Soviet Union very quietly. Um, And basically that we wouldn't
- 11:12Speaker 1: normally do that through our normal policy. We had no
- 11:15Speaker 1: reason to send them humanitarian aid. They were our greatest enemy.
- 11:19Speaker 1: But we're doing it secretly. And if we were doing it,
- 11:21Speaker 1: wouldn't we have said, hey, you know, we're we're helping
- 11:24Speaker 1: out our our enemy because we're all humans. That kind
- 11:26Speaker 1: of thing, right, wouldn't have been more public. It's it's
- 11:29Speaker 1: kind of a tenuous argument, but it's something to chew over.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Right said, they could have kept the Russians quiet. To that, Josh,
- 11:37Speaker 1: you know, I'm starting to you're starting to win me over, Chuck,
- 11:40Speaker 1: you are. But you said one reason that that this
- 11:43Speaker 1: whole thing would have been fake, the moon laning would
- 11:45Speaker 1: have been faked, was um, because of of the space
- 11:50Speaker 1: race the Cold War? What about money? Well, true, it
- 11:54Speaker 1: would have cost a lot a lot of money to
- 11:56Speaker 1: put in. In fact, did cost a lot of money
- 11:58Speaker 1: to put someone on the moon. From from nineteen fifty
- 12:01Speaker 1: eight to UM ninth or two thousand and eight, by
- 12:04Speaker 1: my by my calculations, NASA has gotten about fifty billion
- 12:08Speaker 1: dollars in change and funding over those over the fifty
- 12:11Speaker 1: year period. That's a big slush fund. If you think
- 12:14Speaker 1: about it, is it's just like you have no money
- 12:17Speaker 1: to account for any longer. It's in space. That's our bailout,
- 12:20Speaker 1: right now, Why isn't this settled? Think about this. We're
- 12:23Speaker 1: going into space all the time. True. The reason why
- 12:26Speaker 1: is that the last we went to the moon. Oh
- 12:29Speaker 1: another explanations that it served as a distraction for the
- 12:31Speaker 1: Vietnam War, right right, America is like, well, we're going
- 12:34Speaker 1: to the moon, you know, forget about the American soldiers.
- 12:37Speaker 1: They are dying over there and actually suspiciously. Um, the
- 12:40Speaker 1: last time we landed on the moon was V two,
- 12:43Speaker 1: towards the end of the Vietnam War, and then all
- 12:46Speaker 1: of a sudden, if you look at NASA's funding year
- 12:48Speaker 1: by year, it drops in half for about a decade
- 12:52Speaker 1: until it started up again in the eighties when you
- 12:55Speaker 1: and I were very interested in it as youngsters. Right,
- 12:58Speaker 1: So does the tail wag the dog, Josh, or just
- 13:01Speaker 1: the dog wagged the tail? I don't. I can't answer that.
- 13:04Speaker 1: But speaking of wag the dog, um, if it was faked,
- 13:08Speaker 1: think about how many people were greased by the CIA
- 13:12Speaker 1: right after They play their role as like a production
- 13:14Speaker 1: assistant or a director or something like that and killed,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I mean killed waxed. Yeah, but again, why why why
- 13:23Speaker 1: isn't this salt? So we stopped going to the moon
- 13:26Speaker 1: or stopped landing on the moon after women back. But
- 13:31Speaker 1: we have sent some you know, uh, lunar orbiters around
- 13:35Speaker 1: the Moon with really great cameras. So why don't we
- 13:39Speaker 1: just say here is the lunar lander, dummy, and here
- 13:43Speaker 1: are the footprints, dummy. Why why you know, why aren't
- 13:46Speaker 1: we doing that? You know why? Because it's it's not
- 13:49Speaker 1: worth the money to do that, right. No, they're actually
- 13:52Speaker 1: going around the Moon and they're act they're they're taking
- 13:54Speaker 1: photos of the Moon's surface and they're going over it.
- 13:57Speaker 1: The problem is the the camera resolution, which are these
- 14:00Speaker 1: incredible cameras are still not picking up They don't have
- 14:04Speaker 1: the resolution to pick up these objects. On the sound,
- 14:08Speaker 1: it does sound a little shady. So we'll see. There's
- 14:10Speaker 1: a few out there right now. India has the Chan
- 14:14Speaker 1: Drayon I believe is the Pronunciation orbiter. Japan has the
- 14:19Speaker 1: cagu Ya orbiter. My Japanese is rusty sound, and then
- 14:25Speaker 1: the US is the Lunar Reconnaissance orbiter. They're all orbiting
- 14:29Speaker 1: the Moon right now, and they all possibly have good
- 14:32Speaker 1: enough cameras to send back photos of the Apollo moon landings.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Well hopefully that happens one day. Yeah, so you can
- 14:39Speaker 1: just put this to bed once again. I still think
- 14:42Speaker 1: people will just say, well, they fake those. You know.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It's a good point. We've got India in there in
- 14:47Speaker 1: our pockets. So that's it. Uh, well, not quiet. You
- 14:51Speaker 1: want to oh no, you got to. No, you have
- 14:53Speaker 1: reader mail, so you want to let the moon landing
- 14:55Speaker 1: conspiracy one just kind of peter out a Moment's okay,
- 15:03Speaker 1: all right, Listener mail times, listener mail time. Johsh I'm
- 15:08Speaker 1: gonna call this one exceptional fan mail, as I like
- 15:11Speaker 1: to do. Nice. Now, is this this isn't stuff we
- 15:13Speaker 1: should have known? No, no, no, this is an actual,
- 15:16Speaker 1: uh really kind of a cool story from Ben in Ontario, Canada.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And you're gonna remember this one, Josh, is a good one.
- 15:22Speaker 1: This guy listened to our exorcism podcast and uh I
- 15:27Speaker 1: was talking about a positive possession, of beneficial possession, and
- 15:31Speaker 1: he has a story about himself and I'm gonna summarize this.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Ben night. Uh he Ben says, eleven years
- 15:39Speaker 1: ago he was in a bad bicycle accident and UH
- 15:42Speaker 1: came between two busses and was hit by a car
- 15:45Speaker 1: he was winning in high school. He says, it is
- 15:48Speaker 1: a bad bicycle X. Yeah, he said he was fully
- 15:50Speaker 1: conscious afterwards, even though I went over my handlebars and
- 15:53Speaker 1: hit my head on the hood of the car. I
- 15:55Speaker 1: was fully aware of the situation and what happened. But
- 15:57Speaker 1: he was told he was completely coherent the ambul us
- 16:00Speaker 1: in in the e r with the nurses, even okay
- 16:03Speaker 1: with his parents. When he brought him home several hours later,
- 16:06Speaker 1: they put him to bed and thirty minutes later he
- 16:09Speaker 1: woke back up and didn't remember any of it, and
- 16:11Speaker 1: it took him a full hour to even find out
- 16:13Speaker 1: what had happened to him. So Ben says, I believe
- 16:16Speaker 1: during this short time that I was actually possessed by
- 16:19Speaker 1: the Egyptian god Horace. H O r U s Uh.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I think that's the one with the dog's head. If
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken, I think so okay. So he was
- 16:30Speaker 1: possessed by Horace or an ancient priest from the temple
- 16:33Speaker 1: of Horace. Uh that this took control of him and
- 16:36Speaker 1: kept his brain from shutting down and having more damage
- 16:39Speaker 1: than it did. I know there are other medical explanations
- 16:42Speaker 1: as to what happened. Heavy impacts can cause a short
- 16:46Speaker 1: term memory to wipe out, et cetera. However, this is
- 16:48Speaker 1: the belief that I have about it, and it's backed
- 16:51Speaker 1: up to me by the fact that is where it
- 16:52Speaker 1: gets good by About two years later, he went to
- 16:55Speaker 1: an optometrist and he found marks on the lower outer
- 16:59Speaker 1: edge of his eye is and there are similar marks
- 17:02Speaker 1: and paintings of the eyes of Horace. And the doctor
- 17:05Speaker 1: could not explain this. You've never seen it before and
- 17:07Speaker 1: could not explain how it happened. So maybe I'm just crazy,
- 17:11Speaker 1: but and I know some people think that, but it's
- 17:13Speaker 1: what I believe happened to me. And then I wrote
- 17:16Speaker 1: you back already. We don't think you're crazy. We think
- 17:19Speaker 1: that anyone that thinks they had this whole big cosmic
- 17:23Speaker 1: soup figured out doesn't know what they're talking about, and
