- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 0:29Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal
- 0:33Speaker 1: aliens have been arrested. If you are here illegally, your
- 0:37Speaker 1: next you will be fined nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and deported.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You will never return.
- 0:44Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 0:47Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 4: All right, so let's get into this. Let's try to
- 1:01Speaker 4: help people master social media. So let's talk about it.
- 1:05Speaker 4: So what are the dues and don'ts of social media?
- 1:09Speaker 4: Let's start there.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Oh, this is a good one. The dues and don'ts
- 1:13Speaker 5: of social media? Is there any platform specific you want
- 1:15Speaker 5: to talk about.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Let's do Instagram and TikTok. I think those are the
- 1:19Speaker 4: most important platforms currently.
- 1:22Speaker 5: The thing you want to look at social media is
- 1:24Speaker 5: you go from uploading trendy dance videos to actually building
- 1:28Speaker 5: a brand. So when you're building a brand, what I
- 1:30Speaker 5: like to tell people is, don't take five years to
- 1:32Speaker 5: do something when you can do it in twelve months,
- 1:34Speaker 5: and let me build a guide for you so that
- 1:37Speaker 5: you don't make the same mistakes that most beginner content
- 1:39Speaker 5: creators do. So when you do set up a page,
- 1:42Speaker 5: you want to make sure that it's optimized. When you
- 1:44Speaker 5: create a new page, people will post one picture, they'll
- 1:47Speaker 5: promote it to their friends and family members and go,
- 1:49Speaker 5: I didn't get an engagement. My journey's over.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:52Speaker 5: You want to make sure that you upload that page
- 1:54Speaker 5: and optimize it with at least twelve posts, so that way,
- 1:57Speaker 5: if one of those things goes viral, people will live
- 2:00Speaker 5: on and go, oh, I know exactly what I'm going
- 2:01Speaker 5: to get out of this. This guy's a filmmaker, he's
- 2:03Speaker 5: an entrepreneur, and he's going to teach me stuff about
- 2:06Speaker 5: social media's to teach me stuff about video content creation.
- 2:09Speaker 5: So don't leave your page blank?
- 2:11Speaker 6: How about? And this is just something that a lot
- 2:13Speaker 6: of people struggle with.
- 2:14Speaker 7: They'll start something and they might be doing it consistently
- 2:18Speaker 7: for about two months and they're like, there's no growth.
- 2:21Speaker 6: What are some ways to grow your page?
- 2:25Speaker 5: You have to look at social media and be very
- 2:28Speaker 5: patient with it because a lot can change for you
- 2:30Speaker 5: in twelve months. It is a huge mental battle, and
- 2:33Speaker 5: I will say people have to have belief when jumping
- 2:35Speaker 5: into something. If you're going to be passionate about social media,
- 2:39Speaker 5: that's what you have to treat it as like a
- 2:40Speaker 5: business owner almost right. You have to believe wholeheartedly see
- 2:44Speaker 5: this through because you know there's going to be those
- 2:46Speaker 5: those rainy days for you. And if you don't have
- 2:50Speaker 5: that patience when you're going into like social media, then
- 2:53Speaker 5: that can be like the mental battle can mess you up.
- 2:56Speaker 5: To answer your question, Troy, you were saying growth, the growth, growth,
- 3:00Speaker 5: So getting into social media, you might be like, Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 5: two months I uploaded some content. It's not working. You've
- 3:05Speaker 5: got to step back and identify what you are, what
- 3:07Speaker 5: you're putting out there. Maybe your hook's wrong, maybe your
- 3:10Speaker 5: call to actions off. You're not engaging with other people
- 3:13Speaker 5: that's within your community. So with to say your niche
- 3:17Speaker 5: is business in finance, you want to follow about eight
- 3:20Speaker 5: to ten people that you look up to within there.
- 3:23Speaker 5: So whenever they post something, you're in the comments leaving
- 3:26Speaker 5: something valuable not only for that person but for the
- 3:29Speaker 5: entire community because when they click on your page, now
- 3:32Speaker 5: they're gonna be, oh, this guy also talks about business
- 3:34Speaker 5: and finance, but in a different way. That's a really
- 3:37Speaker 5: great growth hack. Another growth hack is we now have
- 3:40Speaker 5: the ability to like on stories on Instagram, so you
- 3:43Speaker 5: can go into other people's followers. You can go into
- 3:46Speaker 5: their recent posts and their likes, and you'll see people's bubbles,
- 3:49Speaker 5: their icons and avatars that are lit up that they
- 3:52Speaker 5: have a story. Go on their story and like it,
- 3:54Speaker 5: because now they're gonna be who the heck is this
- 3:56Speaker 5: guy like in my stories? They're gonna jump into your page,
- 3:59Speaker 5: click the first video and if it's valuable, you got
- 4:01Speaker 5: a new follower, you got a new supporter for life.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Very important, which you just said the first one you
- 4:08Speaker 4: ever heard of a guy at Wall Street trapper. So
- 4:10Speaker 4: that's how he when before we met him, we put
- 4:13Speaker 4: him on the show and it really helped grow his
- 4:16Speaker 4: situation a lot. But he was trying to get our attention.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And when he first started his page and he used
- 4:21Speaker 4: to comment, he used to go into comments and just write,
- 4:25Speaker 4: not really like being combative, but you know, he might
- 4:27Speaker 4: have a different point of view, or you know, he
- 4:29Speaker 4: might want to add a little bit more value to
- 4:31Speaker 4: the situation, or it's like, well this is another way
- 4:34Speaker 4: to look at it type, you know, something like that.
- 4:36Speaker 4: And he would do that consistently, and I'm like, what
- 4:38Speaker 4: is this writing in the comments all the time? I mean,
- 4:40Speaker 4: so I was fermised. So when he introduced himself to
- 4:43Speaker 4: me in person, I was already familiar with him from
- 4:47Speaker 4: writing in the comments. And he had later on said
- 4:49Speaker 4: that was one of his strategies where he would he
- 4:52Speaker 4: think he did it for a few different pages, and
- 4:54Speaker 4: like that's what he was doing to try to get
- 4:56Speaker 4: people to recognize him. But it also help us recognize him,
- 5:03Speaker 4: because it's like, if you pay attention to your page,
- 5:06Speaker 4: you start to notice it's like a local pub. You
- 5:10Speaker 4: notice the people that come to the bar every day.
- 5:12Speaker 4: If you're the bar owner.
- 5:13Speaker 6: Right.
- 5:13Speaker 4: So now it's like if you have somebody that's constantly
- 5:16Speaker 4: commenting every single day, it's like a community, Like you
- 5:20Speaker 4: know who they are, they stand out to you. So
- 5:22Speaker 4: that's definitely something that's beneficial and I've seen it work firsthand.
- 5:26Speaker 4: And liking the stories is interesting because that's another thing
- 5:31Speaker 4: that is because if you have like, let's say, two
- 5:33Speaker 4: thousand people that vi your story, and you have ten
- 5:36Speaker 4: people that like the story, then you might like it
- 5:39Speaker 4: and to see like, Okay, who is this person I
- 5:41Speaker 4: like my story? And that happens a lot, especially when
- 5:45Speaker 4: it's people of the opposite sex.
- 5:47Speaker 6: That's true.
- 5:48Speaker 4: It's like, who's this girl that like my story? Like
- 5:50Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, let me check her page out,
- 5:51Speaker 4: you know what I mean. So it's just like what
- 5:54Speaker 4: you just said, that definitely happens in real life. And
- 5:59Speaker 4: I never thought about life in the story as a
- 6:01Speaker 4: way to get people's attention for business, but it's beneficial
- 6:05Speaker 4: and I can see how that can work. So that
- 6:09Speaker 4: was actually extremely valuable information. So let me ask you
- 6:12Speaker 4: this captions. How important is it writing captions? What kind
- 6:18Speaker 4: of captions should you write? What's the does and don'ts
- 6:20Speaker 4: with writing captions on your post.
- 6:24Speaker 5: As humans were naturally curious, and with that curiosity, if
- 6:27Speaker 5: you watch a movie, you'll notice how the directors will
- 6:30Speaker 5: purposely have certain subjects in focus. When they did the
- 6:33Speaker 5: Avengers movie, when everybody was jumping out of that bubble
- 6:35Speaker 5: and you're like, okay, you got black Panther coming out
- 6:37Speaker 5: on Wakanda, and you got there was a lot going on,
- 6:40Speaker 5: but you could focus on what was happening. So the
- 6:43Speaker 5: dues and don'ts of writing captions are make sure that
- 6:45Speaker 5: you they're easy to read, and make sure they're not
- 6:47Speaker 5: too fast. I like to think of a caption as
- 6:51Speaker 5: like a title, like let's just say, for example, it's
- 6:54Speaker 5: three tips for growing your Instagram page. It's a speed bump.
- 6:57Speaker 5: When somebody's scrolling down. You're going to see some surfer surfing,
- 7:01Speaker 5: you're gonna see somebody posing doing some fashion video, and
- 7:04Speaker 5: then you're gonna get to like some actual educational content.
- 7:08Speaker 5: And because there's text, now, we have to stop because
- 7:11Speaker 5: it's so big and we have to read it. So
- 7:13Speaker 5: for people who are just jumping right into it and
- 7:15Speaker 5: just putting captions on there, it is important because they
- 7:18Speaker 5: say ninety percent of people don't actually listen to what's
- 7:21Speaker 5: going on. Yeah, that's crazy, but that differs from platform
- 7:24Speaker 5: to platform. How often is somebody opening TikTok on the
- 7:27Speaker 5: train and not like listening to what's going on. It's
- 7:30Speaker 5: usually Instagram because it's a picture app. They do have
- 7:33Speaker 5: videos on there, but you're really on there because you're like, Okay,
- 7:35Speaker 5: I'm checking to see what my friend erness.
- 7:38Speaker 3: What's up.
- 7:38Speaker 8: You have a walk into a small business and everything
- 7:41Speaker 8: just works like. The checkout is fast, the receipts are digital,

- 9:28Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 9:32Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 9:36Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 9:40Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 9:44Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 9:48Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 9:57Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded. Or one hundred thousand illegal aliens
- 10:01Speaker 1: have been arrested. If you were here illegally, your next
- 10:06Speaker 1: you will be fine nearly one thousand dollars a day.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Imprisoned and deported, you will never return.
- 10:12Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 10:15Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Security is doing the stories. You don't need audio, But
- 10:30Speaker 5: with TikTok, I've never I've hardly seen people watching a
- 10:34Speaker 5: TikTok without the audio.
- 10:37Speaker 4: So you talked about passionate Wait wait, wait, let me
- 10:39Speaker 4: let me just figure so captions. I want to stay
- 10:41Speaker 4: on this caption point before we move on. So there's
- 10:43Speaker 4: two parts of captions though, right, the captions on the
- 10:45Speaker 4: video within his captions captions. So the video captions are
- 10:50Speaker 4: extremely important because that's the headline for like an article,
- 10:53Speaker 4: right like, it tells you what you what you. Some
- 10:56Speaker 4: people think that it messes up the esthetic. It probably does,
- 10:59Speaker 4: but it's like, what's it's more important? Do you want
- 11:01Speaker 4: to be super artsy and have a great aesthetic or
- 11:04Speaker 4: do you want people to watch you a video? But
- 11:06Speaker 4: how important is it for the caption in the actual
- 11:09Speaker 4: caption part of it, like writing like the caption.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Right now, in twenty twenty three, it's critical because SEO now,
- 11:17Speaker 5: platforms like TikTok, Instagram is even getting there as well.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Search engine optimization isn't just for the dot COM's and
- 11:23Speaker 5: for YouTube of the world.
- 11:25Speaker 6: If you go onto.
- 11:26Speaker 5: TikTok, it's really smart. If I'm looking for a song
- 11:29Speaker 5: but I don't remember the lyrics or the title, I
- 11:31Speaker 5: can just put in what's that song that goes done
- 11:33Speaker 5: dun done, da da dun done, and it'll show it
- 11:36Speaker 5: as crazy. Or I can go what are the best
- 11:39Speaker 5: restaurants in Vegas? And now I'm like, okay. Instead of
- 11:42Speaker 5: going through these articles with ads, TikTok is spitting out
- 11:44Speaker 5: exactly what I need.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Oy. So the search engine optimization is now utilizing social
- 11:51Speaker 4: media captions absolutely on Google Google.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Yes, and that's like metadata. So if you're building a
- 11:58Speaker 5: brand and you have a website a couple social media pages,
- 12:01Speaker 5: after a few months, it'll pick up on those captions
- 12:03Speaker 5: that you're writing. So if somebody's searching it and it's
- 12:06Speaker 5: a very niche specific topic, it can show up on Google,
- 12:09Speaker 5: but more importantly internally natively into those apps. So if Instagram,
- 12:14Speaker 5: if in my caption I'm putting three tips for filmmakers,
- 12:17Speaker 5: and I go into the search bar of Instagram and
- 12:19Speaker 5: I put tips for filmmakers, the hashtag is no longer
- 12:23Speaker 5: just the only thing that you can identify with that video,
- 12:26Speaker 5: like that unique indicator. It now will spit out those
- 12:30Speaker 5: videos choosing keywords.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a very beneficial thing to know because even
- 12:35Speaker 4: like my son, like TikTok is a search engine pretty
- 12:37Speaker 4: much at this point. Yeah, all these kids, everybody, they're
- 12:40Speaker 4: finding restaurants, they're finding new things from TikTok is becoming Google.
- 12:45Speaker 4: So that would make sense that I wasn't aware of
- 12:48Speaker 4: that that keywords are part of how they're actually spitting
- 12:54Speaker 4: out recommendations.
- 12:55Speaker 5: What's even crazier than that is you can go into
- 12:58Speaker 5: Instagram and there's a setting. Once you make a post,
- 13:01Speaker 5: there's three dots you can press or it's like advanced settings.
- 13:04Speaker 5: They always change the wording or where they put stuff.
- 13:06Speaker 5: But you can add in metadata tags.
- 13:08Speaker 6: To it as well.
- 13:09Speaker 4: It's in Instagram, yep, medistata tags.
- 13:11Speaker 6: So that's the part. Like I'm talking about what you like.
- 13:13Speaker 7: You just said passion, right, and so one of the
- 13:15Speaker 7: things is like when you're passionate about it, you got
- 13:17Speaker 7: to study it every day and learn from it every day.
- 13:19Speaker 7: So my thing is like the average person, right, where
- 13:23Speaker 7: are they going to go to do that research or
- 13:25Speaker 7: find that metadata or find you know, things that they
- 13:29Speaker 7: can help optimize the performance of their posts?
- 13:31Speaker 6: Right?
- 13:32Speaker 7: Because it's not just everyday information, and the challenge is
- 13:35Speaker 7: that every day, maybe every week, it changes, that's right,
- 13:39Speaker 7: So where would you would you go to even find
- 13:42Speaker 7: a data to research and to stay up to date
- 13:44Speaker 7: with it?
- 13:45Speaker 5: First of all, I have to say to a lot
- 13:46Speaker 5: of people that are listening. Most people that are listening
- 13:48Speaker 5: to earn your leisure, They want to make a huge
- 13:50Speaker 5: difference in their lives. You want to make a change,
- 13:52Speaker 5: but it really starts with our daily habits. Most people
- 13:54Speaker 5: won't go out to do that search. You look at
- 13:57Speaker 5: our parents, they had to walk to the library with
- 13:58Speaker 5: typewriters to do research. You can just pick up a phone.
- 14:02Speaker 5: You can ask Siri, hey, you know what is social media?
- 14:05Speaker 5: You can learn at least one new thing a day
- 14:07Speaker 5: within the span of five minutes, and in that five
- 14:09Speaker 5: minute video you might get thirty little nuggets you never
- 14:12Speaker 5: knew about. So what I would tell people is pick
- 14:15Speaker 5: up your phone, go on Google, go on YouTube.
- 14:17Speaker 4: And it's that complicated.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Yeah, into type in like what is social media? If
- 14:22Speaker 5: there's something you've heard and you're like, what's evergreen content?
- 14:25Speaker 5: What search engine optimization? Now you take writing your notes. Okay,
- 14:29Speaker 5: I'm gonna diniversity research about this now, and everyone learns different.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Like I was never a school type guy, Like I
- 14:37Speaker 5: was a DNF student, but I was a visual learner.
- 14:40Speaker 5: And that's important for people because whoever you're listening to
- 14:44Speaker 5: you're getting your information from. First, make sure they're credible. Second,
- 14:47Speaker 5: make sure that the teaching skills speaks to you. People
- 14:51Speaker 5: like simplified and not complicated ways of explaining things.
- 14:55Speaker 3: So what is metadata?
- 14:56Speaker 6: To attack. What exactly is that?
- 14:58Speaker 5: It's how the Internet reads a post, so it just
- 15:03Speaker 5: adds extra information into there. Right, So you'll look at
- 15:06Speaker 5: when you write a blog post on Squarespace or WordPress
- 15:10Speaker 5: or even a YouTube video, adding your tags is metadata.
- 15:14Speaker 5: It's basically how search engine technology and algorithms can rank
- 15:19Speaker 5: the discoverability of your posts.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Speaking of blogs, is it still beneficial to write blog?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Years ago, blogs was extremely beneficial and then social media
- 15:27Speaker 4: kind of take over and social media is a blog
- 15:29Speaker 4: at that point in time. So is it still beneficial
- 15:32Speaker 4: for people to start a blog?
- 15:34Speaker 5: It depends on what your goals are. A blog can
- 15:37Speaker 5: be incredible. Like I said, make sure you secure your
- 15:40Speaker 5: domain name. So dantecatlid dot com is something I wanted
- 15:42Speaker 5: to secure, whether or not I wanted to turn it
- 15:45Speaker 5: into a blog. It's now my lead landing page because
- 15:48Speaker 5: Google will rank it over time. So if somebody writes
- 15:51Speaker 5: an article about me and they plug my website into there,
- 15:54Speaker 5: it's going to direct them back to my website. Now,
- 15:57Speaker 5: blogs can be another stream of revenue for you. You
- 16:01Speaker 5: can write it and now when people search up this
- 16:03Speaker 5: term on Google, maybe an older demographic will come across
- 16:06Speaker 5: your blog and people do enjoy reading. And I don't
- 16:09Speaker 5: think there's been a time where it's been cheaper to
- 16:10Speaker 5: get stuff written on a blog because you can go
- 16:13Speaker 5: on platforms like fiv or upwork or use chat GBT,
