New Bypass to Ease West Demerara Congestion
The government is fast-tracking a new bypass road between Tuschen and Ruimzeight to slash traffic jams in Region Three, with bids opening July 13th after a pre-bid site visit on the 8th. Designed to divert lighter traffic from the choked West Demerara Public Road, the 13-lot project will take eight months to build and is a temporary fix while a major four-lane highway from the Demerara River Bridge to Parika gets underway.
