- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas and a Pod, which Teddy Mellencamps and Cambridge Edge.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hi guys, welcome to another episode of Two Teas and
- 0:20Speaker 2: a Pod. We are here to recap Real Housewives of
- 0:24Speaker 2: Salt Lake City Reunion episode eighteen. What did you think?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Ooh, it was a doozy, man, don't you think?
- 0:32Speaker 2: I mean, it was such a doozy And also like
- 0:36Speaker 2: the irritation level I had with some of the women.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Multiple times, I just screaming and talking over each other.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I had to watch it twice actually because the screaming
- 0:45Speaker 3: and talking over just like kind of turned me off,
- 0:48Speaker 3: and I'm like, I tuned out, So I had to
- 0:49Speaker 3: rewatch it this morning at like five in the morning.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Me too, because I feel like I missed some juicy
- 0:55Speaker 2: nuggets because I was getting so annoyed. So like they
- 0:57Speaker 2: had some like key things to say, but I was like,
- 1:00Speaker 2: I don't care because I'm so irritated that I'm blocking
- 1:04Speaker 2: it out. But it starts off where Andy asked Angie
- 1:08Speaker 2: why she's holding Meredith accountable for the gay rumor Angie says.
- 1:12Speaker 2: A gay podcaster said it appears Meredith is using her
- 1:16Speaker 2: son's sexuality as leverage with Sean Andy says, this is
- 1:19Speaker 2: a huge waste of time. The interviewer led Sean into it.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Meredith says, the only person who brought this up was Monica,
- 1:27Speaker 2: and then Angie says Monica told her it came from Meredith.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I have to be honest this entire thing. Like if
- 1:33Speaker 2: you listen to any interview to Fruition, you know that,
- 1:39Speaker 2: like they're gonna lead you on to answering questions. Do
- 1:41Speaker 2: I think that Sean.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Well, especially that that podcast.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Was being a dick.
- 1:48Speaker 3: No, No, I don't either, but that particular podcaster does
- 1:51Speaker 3: things like that. Now, Meredith was steaming red when Andy
- 1:55Speaker 3: said the control room confirmed that Angie is saying it's true.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I mean, I think that Angie can be a lot,
- 2:03Speaker 2: but I don't find Angie to be a liar.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Well, no, they the control room confirmed that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I mean they confirmed that what she said was accurate. Also,
- 2:13Speaker 2: when we heard the clip of what was actually said,
- 2:18Speaker 2: I don't think Sean was being an asshole either. I
- 2:21Speaker 2: think that my issue with Meredith, other than her shawl,
- 2:25Speaker 2: was that she runs every single time she gets caught,
- 2:32Speaker 2: and it really bothers me.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I know, but there's a lot of housewives to do that,
- 2:35Speaker 3: but this is, in my opinion, this is another podcaster
- 2:38Speaker 3: trying to cause issues on the housewives so they can
- 2:42Speaker 3: get their little spot. Bravo stopped falling for it.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But for the record, I didn't even and I'm not
- 2:48Speaker 2: saying this in shade. I have no idea who the
- 2:52Speaker 2: podcaster was at. I can tell you, yeah, text me,
- 2:56Speaker 2: but like, I didn't resonate with me while watching the show.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I was like, whatever I was.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I actually got a text message from Monica as I
- 3:06Speaker 3: was watching the show last night, and I just like
- 3:11Speaker 3: sent a screenshot. I go up, by the way, there's
- 3:14Speaker 3: they're talking about you on the reunion. She's like what,
- 3:17Speaker 3: So then she says.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I know she's all over the world wide web instagrams
- 3:22Speaker 2: posting saying I never talk about the show, but.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Like, oh, I haven't seen any of her posts today.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I've seen it a little bit. But Meredith gets up
- 3:32Speaker 2: and says that unless she hears the audio of Monica
- 3:35Speaker 2: clearly saying Meredith didn't say it, she has finished. Meredith says,
- 3:40Speaker 2: Angie is unwarranted mean girl vendetta against her, and then
- 3:44Speaker 2: Andy says there are two moments, one where Monica says
- 3:47Speaker 2: Meredith said it and one where she didn't. Either way,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Well, I would have loved somebody to call Monica on
- 3:54Speaker 3: the phone at that moment and brought her out. And
- 3:58Speaker 3: so we can just hear. Mean, we're either.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Gonna need Monica back or we're gonna need to stop
- 4:03Speaker 2: talking about her. I know.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I mean, I can't wait to see Monica's posts. Like
- 4:07Speaker 3: you said, there's some coming out because it was Monica, Monica,
- 4:10Speaker 3: Monica Monica. I mean, I hope that girl got some money.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Also, correct me if I'm wrong. Was Meredith third seat? Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 2: that's rough going for that many seasons.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I mean, it's been a while since we've seen a
- 4:25Speaker 3: House Swift reunion walk off. She did a partial walk off.
- 4:29Speaker 2: She got it. She didn't even But if you're gonna
- 4:31Speaker 2: walk off, leave and never come back, don't like pretend
- 4:35Speaker 2: you're gonna walk off.
- 4:36Speaker 3: No, because you walk off and then you go, oh shit,
- 4:39Speaker 3: they might fire me. I mean, the rental shade is
- 4:42Speaker 3: so different than the background answer shade. Meredith can't take
- 4:46Speaker 3: a joke. It's crazy her just constantly talking about they're
- 4:48Speaker 3: talking about my rental. Well, you, I mean, you've admitted
- 4:53Speaker 3: you don't live in Salt Lake City. You come in
- 4:56Speaker 3: to film the show, and so.
- 4:57Speaker 2: What if so offensive about being in a.
- 4:59Speaker 3: RI That's not the point they're trying to get across.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Their point that they're trying to say is you don't
- 5:03Speaker 3: even live here, You come here to film the show
- 5:06Speaker 3: and then you take off.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Well also, I mean, then I know we're skipping ahead,
- 5:11Speaker 2: but while we're on Meredith, then they kind of bring
- 5:14Speaker 2: up Seth potentially not being with Meredith, that he has
- 5:18Speaker 2: a side chick in Ohio. And I gotta tell you,
- 5:22Speaker 2: if somebody said so and so has a side check
- 5:25Speaker 2: and then that was the way they responded, I'd be like,
- 5:28Speaker 2: well they have a side chick.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll get to that.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Nice. It wasn't nice.
- 5:34Speaker 3: No, it wasn't nice at all. But it sounds like
- 5:37Speaker 3: they don't spend a lot of time together. He was saying,
- 5:40Speaker 3: like they see each other on the weekends. And to
- 5:43Speaker 3: me that.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Said he recommended that to couples, I recommend I.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Don't recommend that.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I actually more distance apart, like distance does not make
- 5:55Speaker 2: a heart grow fonder and marriage.
- 5:56Speaker 3: No, No, I absolutely agree with that.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Then Andy brings up the threesome rumor that Whitney brought
- 6:06Speaker 2: up in Mexico, as well as bringing up Lisa and
- 6:10Speaker 2: the Circle Jerks about Sean. Lisa says it was an
- 6:14Speaker 2: analogy and she does not think that Sean does that.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Whitney apologizes to John, explaining she wanted to burn with Lisa.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I don't think Lisa was too thrilled that John was
- 6:25Speaker 3: so quick to accept and forgive Whitney. I mean, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 3: Lisa can hold a grudge.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I don't think John is like a combative person though,
- 6:34Speaker 2: like he's like, whatever, let's keep it moving.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I don't think so either. I think he's on this
- 6:39Speaker 3: show because his wife, you know, because.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I wanted to be there.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's not like he's kind of an eddie.
- 6:44Speaker 3: He's like, I don't want to really get involved. I'll go,
- 6:46Speaker 3: I'll support, but you know all, I'm.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Not going to get into every no of it. Then
- 6:52Speaker 2: Andy asked Justin why he didn't feel the need to
- 6:55Speaker 2: stand up for Meredith when Seth called her a b
- 6:58Speaker 2: och and Justin says he had a meditation moment with
- 7:02Speaker 2: himself that morning so that he wouldn't get involved in
- 7:06Speaker 2: the drama. He didn't realize how aggressive it was in
- 7:09Speaker 2: the moment and regrets not saying something. Seth says there's
- 7:13Speaker 2: no excuse for name calling. Seth says, it's not like
- 7:16Speaker 2: when Angie called Meredith a bitch. Meredith says that's abusive
- 7:21Speaker 2: according to Sean, so Angie must be an abuser.
- 7:25Speaker 3: And I didn't like that Meredith saying that it's abusive
- 7:28Speaker 3: or calling somebody abusive or abuse her, and that did
- 7:34Speaker 3: not overwhel with me, and I'm sure it's not going
- 7:35Speaker 3: to go overwell with the viewers.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I didn't like it. Andy asked Todd how he felt
- 7:49Speaker 2: seeing bron Win share the details of his emotional affair.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Todd says he hasn't seen it. I'm sorry. I really
- 7:57Speaker 2: tried to go into this episode thinking the best of Todd.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Still don't Okay, he won me over just a little bit.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I'm not gonna lie why because I didn't yeah that
- 8:10Speaker 3: And I don't know. Do you think Bronwin's downplane because
- 8:13Speaker 3: Todd is behind her or because she was lying? And
- 8:17Speaker 3: that's what I'm like, not sure because there's a little
- 8:19Speaker 3: bit of backpedaling going on. I think Bromwin wanted sympathy,
- 8:23Speaker 3: so she embellished, and now she's trying to maybe backpedal.
- 8:27Speaker 3: It's just a thought. I don't know if it's a
- 8:28Speaker 3: true thought.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I don't know. In my opinion, which is oftentimes incorrect,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I feel like Todd is Bronwin's boss, and she's now
- 8:39Speaker 2: backpedaling because she probably was slightly overserved and had a
- 8:43Speaker 2: conversation with her friends and opened up her friends. But
- 8:48Speaker 2: now here she is and Todd's pissed at her, and
- 8:51Speaker 2: he's been her father figure slash husband for quite a
- 8:55Speaker 2: long time. But like, I cringe watching it, and I
- 8:59Speaker 2: think a lot of the other women did too.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Yeah, And I noticed like when Bronwin is confronted with something,
- 9:05Speaker 3: she's very good, almost like media trained. She's a pro
- 9:08Speaker 3: at changing the conversation, Yeah, to go into a different
- 9:12Speaker 3: direction and not really answering the question. I need to
- 9:15Speaker 3: learn that talent.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But also, I mean, it's pretty easy to learn when
- 9:20Speaker 2: you're married to a narcissist that controls your entire life.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Oh we're going there.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I'm just saying. I don't think Todd has that warm
- 9:29Speaker 2: and fuzzy feeling.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And I know that he cried. He cried.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I would cry too, because it was upsetting to worry.
- 9:38Speaker 3: And then Brahmin looked at him and said, you're okay,
- 9:39Speaker 3: You're okay, You're okay.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:43Speaker 3: There's something about the relationship. I know it's not.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I'm not buying it. I don't buy one part of it.
- 9:49Speaker 3: There's something endearing about it. I don't know what it is.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Well, he's her dad but also her husband. Yeah, it's
- 9:57Speaker 2: endearing to have somebody to take care of you, but
- 9:59Speaker 2: it's also upsetting to have somebody put you down and
- 10:02Speaker 2: not let you be yourself.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Well. Bromwin says that people misunderstand her and brought her
- 10:08Speaker 3: back to when she didn't feel good enough with Todd.
- 10:11Speaker 3: So is it possible? She embellished the story.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yes, of course anything's possible. But it was rough for
- 10:21Speaker 2: me to watch like it.
- 10:24Speaker 3: No, it was but promises that when she and Todd
- 10:26Speaker 3: talked everything through, he gave her a fifth anniversary gift,
- 10:31Speaker 3: a ring with five diamonds and five new promises. He
- 10:34Speaker 3: couldn't remember all those promises, he remembered the transparency of
- 10:38Speaker 3: the fifth one. Yeah, the promise to support love, fidelity,
- 10:43Speaker 3: take care of Gwen, and transparency.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You're still going to keep backing this.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I need I just need to see more. I just
- 10:51Speaker 3: need to see meam.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I need you to give me a necklace with friendship, honesty, love, kindness, empathy,
- 11:00Speaker 2: and then I want you to remember all of those words.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I can't remember what I had for breakfast. But is
- 11:04Speaker 3: it a fatal flaw like Ron went said, or a
- 11:09Speaker 3: conversation that went too far with too many cocktails?
- 11:15Speaker 2: I don't know, But either way, I'm not probably gonna
- 11:18Speaker 2: date Tom Todd. They're the same human to me.
- 11:23Speaker 3: He's Todd or Tom? Yeah, who's Tom Sandoval Girardi. Oh well,
- 11:33Speaker 3: I think he's somewhere where he can't be dated.
- 11:38Speaker 2: But I'm feeling vibes similar vibes which I don't like.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Gives me the ick. Then whenne He gets emotional saying
- 11:47Speaker 2: she hasn't talked to her dad since season one, this
- 11:50Speaker 2: is where we start to get in the conversation with
- 11:52Speaker 2: Mary and her son, and it's the first time, I think,
- 11:59Speaker 2: in how shy viewership, that I've seen Andy cry.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a very emotional, sad scene. I mean
- 12:07Speaker 3: it really made everybody cry. And then Whitney was holding
- 12:10Speaker 3: back the tears as well, not making eye contact. It's
- 12:13Speaker 3: just such a raw thing to bring up, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 3: sometimes I worry, like, should you like I take it
- 12:21Speaker 3: back to when Laurie, you know, talked about it on
- 12:23Speaker 3: the show and what happened there. It's it's just it's
- 12:26Speaker 3: a lot of it helps a lot of people, but
- 12:29Speaker 3: it also could potentially put a lot of more stress
- 12:32Speaker 3: on him.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, but I guess I never told the reunion.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I never really saw the parallel between what Whitney's going
- 12:41Speaker 2: through and what Mary's going through with her son. But
- 12:45Speaker 2: you kind of start to see it and you see
- 12:47Speaker 2: the like the through line, and I don't know, I
- 12:51Speaker 2: think it's pretty heartbreaking, and I think it's something if
- 12:54Speaker 2: I'm going to watch something on reality television, I'd rather
- 12:57Speaker 2: see that than like fighting over a textbusge. Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Then Andy brings up Seth Emeredith's marriage. Seth says it
- 13:05Speaker 3: feels like a first date on the weekend because she's
- 13:08Speaker 3: because they see her. You don't see each other very often.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I think we touched down on a little bit about this,
- 13:13Speaker 3: but I don't know.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I don't think it's good.
- 13:18Speaker 3: I don't know so well, how about when Seth says
- 13:20Speaker 3: like this is confusing to me. I do an annual
- 13:22Speaker 3: review on our marriage and asking as it's above average.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I'm staying in the game. It works because we are
- 13:28Speaker 3: not together that often. That doesn't sound ideal to me,
- 13:32Speaker 3: if it's worth saying.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Do I think you need to be codependent twenty four
- 13:37Speaker 2: to seven? No, But if you're saying that the reason
- 13:40Speaker 2: that your marriage works it's because the majority of or
- 13:44Speaker 2: fifty one percent, you're a part. I know I'd be offended.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I would too if you said that about me right now.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I mean we talk every single day. If you were like,
- 13:54Speaker 2: our life would be better if we were at forty,
- 13:58Speaker 2: I'd be like.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's rude. It's kind of rude. They completely glossed
- 14:04Speaker 3: over the conversation the ladies had, implying Lisa and Meredith
- 14:07Speaker 3: having affairs. That just was very glossed over. They did
- 14:11Speaker 3: not want to talk about that.
- 14:13Speaker 2: No, they're not going to talk about that. Then Andy
- 14:16Speaker 2: says Mary was lighter this season and more engage in
- 14:20Speaker 2: my opinion. She gives credit to Angie for giving her
- 14:24Speaker 2: that extra support and making her feel comfortable like she
- 14:27Speaker 2: has a real friend. Then we see Meredith act like
- 14:29Speaker 2: she's upset because she thinks that she's Mary's friend. I'm like, Meredith,
- 14:35Speaker 2: you're a friend and no one but your bath bombs.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Yeah. Do you think Meredith's jealous of Angie and Mary's friendship.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I think Meredith's jealous that, like, at the end of
- 14:44Speaker 2: the day, we'd rather watch Angie and Mary than Meredith.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Every time they'd pant to Meredith, she kinda looked pissed off.
- 14:53Speaker 3: She kind of had that pissed off.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Maybe her shawl was bothering her.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Then Meredith says there are things the other women say
- 15:04Speaker 2: about her that are problems. She pulls out her phone,
- 15:07Speaker 2: like whenever somebody pulls out their phone because they can't
- 15:10Speaker 2: just remember.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Then offhand, well, I can't remember shit. But she's scrolling
- 15:14Speaker 3: through her list and the cameras behind her.
- 15:17Speaker 2: She says she's been called a drug addict, a beliemic,
- 15:19Speaker 2: a cheater, homeless.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Wait, I have a question. I have a question out
- 15:23Speaker 3: of memory. Who called her a bliemic? Who said she
- 15:26Speaker 3: had eating disorder?
- 15:27Speaker 2: I think she's claiming Brittany did that, because but.
- 15:30Speaker 3: She those words never came out of her mouth.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I don't think Brittany ever, whenever Brittany said anything, I
- 15:37Speaker 2: don't think Brittany was trying to claim that Meredith was
- 15:39Speaker 2: beliemic or had an eating disorder.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I know because I feel like she put a lot
- 15:44Speaker 3: of these words you know on her list, but that
- 15:46Speaker 3: weren't even set, weren't even implied.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Lovel psychotic dissociation, multiple personality disorders, snitch liar appearance, made
- 15:55Speaker 2: fun of hearing aids, are made fun of.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Hairing aids, or nobody made fun of her hearing.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Aids, insulted as a mother, grudge holder, whore, and plays
- 16:05Speaker 2: the victim. Meredith says she said a lot about people,
- 16:09Speaker 2: but a flashback shows her calling someone a monster, a pitbull,
- 16:13Speaker 2: an ugly human being and vile. I don't think and.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I'm say, just a day and housewives that's it.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But like I, there isn't. I don't know why. Like
- 16:23Speaker 2: I feel like I have empathy for a lot of people,
- 16:26Speaker 2: but to me, Meredith is punishable.
- 16:29Speaker 3: She can come for you, Mary's welcome.
- 16:32Speaker 2: She can come for me with all of her different
- 16:34Speaker 2: faces and all of her different moods and her husband's
- 16:39Speaker 2: that can spend forty one percent of the time with her,
- 16:42Speaker 2: I don't care fifty one.
- 16:43Speaker 3: It's fifty one, but you know what, the Mary and
- 16:45Speaker 3: her one liners always shine through. When Mary said those
- 16:48Speaker 3: bangs were a type of suffering.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, all the women died, but
- 16:54Speaker 2: they were a type of suffering. But you know what,
- 16:56Speaker 2: I had those same shit bangs in one of my
- 16:59Speaker 2: confess and I still hate mine.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Not like those. Those were like way in the back
- 17:04Speaker 3: of her head whatever.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Mine were down low, but they went like a v
- 17:08Speaker 2: like this, and it was a dude.
- 17:10Speaker 3: The yours were a lot better.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I don't know. But then Mary and Meredith and the
- 17:17Speaker 2: reunion by hugging, did we see Brittany at all this?
- 17:21Speaker 3: She comes out, She's literally comes out the end. A
- 17:24Speaker 3: few fan thoughts, Mary's love, Mary's story about her son
- 17:28Speaker 3: very touching and brave. Bromwin's down plane of the affair
- 17:31Speaker 3: was typical of how she spends the truth. Meredith can
- 17:35Speaker 3: never have a conversation and own it.
- 17:39Speaker 2: No, never, Well that's it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: How many parts of this reunion?
- 17:43Speaker 2: Three? It's got to be three? Thanks guys for tuning
- 17:46Speaker 2: in to another episode of to Teas and a Pod
- 17:49Speaker 2: loving Salt Lake City where sad it's about to be
- 17:52Speaker 2: over and we'll talk to you soon.
