Transcript
- 0:01Hey, this is Vicki Joy Anderson and you are listening to The
- 0:04Millennial Mustard Seed. Vicki, it's an honor to be back
- 0:09with you. I want to say this is part
- 0:11three. Over the years, you're demanded
- 0:14to come back by faithful listeners, and I wouldn't have
- 0:17it any other way myself. I'm honored to have you here
- 0:21with me for a fascinating conversation.
- 0:24I'm looking forward to it. I'm anxious to see where the
- 0:27Spirit takes it. You know, if if I could before
- 0:31we got on here and hit record. One of the things that you said
- 0:34in your prayer is something that I've actually been latching hold
- 0:38of for like the last seven to 10 days and that is you quoted the
- 0:42name of the Lord is a strong tower.
- 0:45The righteous run to it and they're safe.
- 0:47And so it is really funny that the reason why that verse came
- 0:51back to my mind. What was I had a week where for
- 0:55like 3 days I was just getting clobbered on my socials, you
- 1:01know, everybody calling me names and everything and it, you know,
- 1:05usually I have a super thick skin.
- 1:07I like do not care. But it was, it was three like
- 1:10intense days. It was like a trial by fire,
- 1:12right? And so it, I found that whenever
- 1:17it came to mind, the way I took the thought captive, as I said,
- 1:19the name of the Lord is a strong tower.
- 1:22The righteous run to it and they're safe.
- 1:23And so then, as I always do, I was kind of trying to visualize
- 1:28that metaphor because it's strange wording.
- 1:30The name of the Lord. It's not The Lord is a strong
- 1:33tower. The name.
- 1:34I'm like, what? And so I was sort of perplexed
- 1:37over that. And then, you know, we get this
- 1:39image of when we think tower, we think medieval.
- 1:43We think like the keep in the castle, right?
- 1:45We think the Lord of the Rings where the invading army is
- 1:48coming. So all the women and the
- 1:49children get put in the tower. They put in the keep.
- 1:51They're going to be protected, right?
- 1:53And that's always the way I've thought of it.
- 1:55And what was so weird is I was driving home from Tennessee just
- 2:00a few days ago, and we drove by this very large, ominous 5G
- 2:07tower that was super close to the freeway, like way closer
- 2:11than usual. But what was really odd was that
- 2:16lined up next to this tower was about 7:00 or 8:00 flags that
- 2:23look like flags of the nations. And so I'm like, what in the
- 2:27Nimrod is going on here with all the nation flags by this 5G
- 2:31tower? And and then that verse popped
- 2:35into my head again, the name of the Lord is a strong tower.
- 2:38But at that point, the image that flashed into my mind was
- 2:41this 5G tower. And I'm like, oh, tower.
- 2:46We think about that in antiquated metaphorical terms,
- 2:51like a tower, a keep, a castle, you know, and I'm thinking, I
- 2:55wonder, look, I'm not trying to misinterpret Scripture and say
- 2:58that the Greek, you know, or I'm not saying that it means a 5G
- 3:03tower. But what I'm saying is in my
- 3:04cultural context, I began to think, I'm curious if the
- 3:10Hebrew, if the Hebrew says the name of the Lord is a strong
- 3:14tower, the righteous run into it and they are safe, which is the
- 3:18way we quote it? Or does the Hebrew actually say
- 3:21the righteous run to it? So I grabbed my phone and I went
- 3:26on to my, my Hebrew strongs and I, I realized I would, it was
- 3:29one of those like, yes, you know, kind of moments the Hebrew
- 3:34reads the name of the Lord is a strong tower.
- 3:36The righteous run to it. Well, this doesn't make sense if
- 3:39you're thinking in terms of a keep or a tower, because if you
- 3:42run to a tower but you don't get inside of it, you're not safe.
- 3:46And is this one of those situations where under the
- 3:54inspiration of the Holy Spirit, who is timeless and knows all
- 3:57generations that are ever going to come to the Scripture, did we
- 4:02in the English have to modify that verse because it didn't
- 4:05make sense compared to our our conception of a tower?
- 4:09What if for our generation, 'cause I know a lot of people,
- 4:13Rod, and I'm sure you do too, that are so fearful of 5G and 6G
- 4:18and the tech and the sentience and the chat boxes and the AI
- 4:21and how the infrastructure of technology is going to hijack
- 4:25our brains. And we're going to become a hive
- 4:27mind. And, you know, they're going to
- 4:29take the, the, the God peace out of us and we're going to be
- 4:32turned into zombies. And I mean, I know a lot of
- 4:34Christians that have fear to the point where they can't sleep at
- 4:37night and they're, they're, you know, making their own Faraday
- 4:41cages and making their house bulletproof and all this stuff.
- 4:44And I just thought in my own way, I thought the name of the
- 4:50Lord is a strong 100 G tower. It's bigger, better, stronger.
- 4:57Nothing is going to touch me if I run to that tower.
- 5:01All your little, you know, chemtrails or whatever stupid
- 5:05little thing you got up your sleeve.
- 5:06Satan, my God, is a strong tower.
- 5:11The power that emanates from this God that we serve.
- 5:16Yeah, it is so much more powerful than any weapon.
- 5:20The enemy will form against us. No weapon formed against us will
- 5:24prosper. So even though I know that
- 5:27obviously the Old Testament writer wasn't thinking of a 5G
- 5:30tower, I'm just sharing with someone, with everybody,
- 5:34something that kind of came into a new perspective to me.
- 5:38And that when we run to the name of Jesus, whether you're running
- 5:45into a keep or you're running to some sort of technological
- 5:49advancement that even our generation has yet to figure
- 5:52out, any way you slice it, he's stronger.
- 5:57He's sufficient. When we are under His wings, we
- 6:00will be safe. All right, we came into this
- 6:07thing, running into the strong tower, pun intended, all over
- 6:12that I pulled up Proverbs 1810. There you go, you.
- 6:15Got the concordance out and the transliteration it the
- 6:19pronunciation is Meg Dolla Oh. Meg Dolla.
- 6:25And it reminds me of Doctor Laura's research, like her
- 6:28talking about fear and amygdala being responsible for the fight
- 6:33or flight. Oh God, OK.
- 6:36OK, so there's something here because there's the flight,
- 6:40right? Running away.
- 6:42So you're using the reptilian portion of your brain, also
- 6:45known as the amygdala, and that's responsible for this
- 6:49function. And when I click on the word it
- 6:52comes from the H1431-A tower from its size or height, but by
- 6:58analogy a rostrum it says figuratively pyramidal.
- 7:04Oh. And then a bed of flowers,
- 7:06flower, castle, pulpit it, it keeps going down with its usage.
- 7:10This is found like 48 times. And this is just opening the
- 7:14concordinates and going along with you and looking at that.
- 7:17So we're stumbling into territory here, which is exactly
- 7:20what we're called to do. It's the glory of God to conceal
- 7:23a matter, but the duty of the Princess and kings to seek it
- 7:26out. And this is a fascinating way to
- 7:29enter into this conversation. Yeah, yeah, I've been up to my
- 7:34eyeballs in like sentient tech articles and and all that kind
- 7:38of the hive mind and the transhumanism, right, and
- 7:41ascension doctrine and and all this stuff.
- 7:43Because I want to equip the church as, as Christianity
- 7:51continues to tiptoe its way kind of further and further away from
- 7:55the culture, context, history, language and geography of the
- 7:59original text, We are going to perish for lack of knowledge if
- 8:03we don't examine the scriptures in the the original context.
- 8:10And I just think that, man, we are, there has never been a
- 8:18generation more equipped to dive into the word of God than ours.
- 8:21We've got everything online. We've got concordances.
- 8:23We can take Greek and Hebrew classes.
- 8:25We've got, I mean, we are absolutely without excuse.
- 8:31Every single person who calls on the name of Jesus should be a
- 8:34Bible scholar at this point with everything that we have at our
- 8:37fingertips. I love it.
- 8:40Well, so not that Camden's Owens would ever listen to this
- 8:44podcast, but I'll give her a shout out of her people who are
- 8:47a fan of her. She actually said in one of her
- 8:49shorts that I stumbled upon, she's like, if you're not a
- 8:54conspiracy theorist, a theorist at this point, you're lacking
- 8:59intelligence in in a nutshell, what she's saying is like, Hey,
- 9:03how many times have these people who were actually studying with
- 9:06this Berean mentality behind the scenes, spending that time
- 9:10really being about that life, really looking into the
- 9:13scripture, really letting it move them and and finding it in
- 9:17the Papyra, this ancient leaf, this Bible and and guys like
- 9:23Doctor Chuck Missler, I mean, come on, game changers.
- 9:26I've stood on his shoulder so many times.
- 9:29And really, if we don't have the Hutzpah to understand what the
- 9:38enemy is doing for the purpose of excommunicating those things
- 9:43which are unholy, like it, like it says, have nothing to do with
- 9:45the fruitless deeds of darkness, but be able to compartmentalize
- 9:49this and and be ready in season out of season, being not ashamed
- 9:54to rightfully divide the word right.
- 9:55I mean, it's all over the Bible and it's all over the sons of
- 9:59God as this being a responsibility.
- 10:01It's not like a maybe or if you get time.
- 10:03This is a lifestyle. And so you're saying things
- 10:07like, Hey, everybody who calls on the name of the Lord should
- 10:09be a theologian at this point. Well, the Bible is saying you
- 10:13study to show yourself well approved.
- 10:15You work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
- 10:18So yes, verbatim from the Scriptures, right.
- 10:23But this power is power. So what's on the tip of our
- 10:26tongue? There's there's life and death
- 10:27in the power of our words. And something, Vicki, that's
- 10:31been fascinating to me is understanding the heavenly
- 10:35scrolls. Like we say, we've been born for
- 10:38such a time as this, rightfully so.
- 10:41But there's volumes of things written about us.
- 10:43There's a white stone at the end of the age, and he who endures
- 10:48gets a whitestone with a name written on it that no man
- 10:51knoweth the name. And it's like we're starting to
- 10:54realize the walls, denominational preferences, all
- 10:58of this disconnection and and craziness, all of the stark
- 11:04raving mad activities that are occupied within the heights of
- 11:07religion are not for the sons and daughters of God.
- 11:11And we're not moving or doing things based on what we think is
- 11:15acceptable to, to the populace. No, we're, we're taking it
- 11:18before the Lord, praying and studying.
- 11:20And so I'm sorry I'm ranting at this point, but but you have me
- 11:23on the cloud 9 of I live in this space like this.
- 11:27I love this. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 11:31You know, I'm just kind of in this space now if there's
- 11:35nothing new under the sun. OK, well, what what about all
- 11:43this tech? What about my iPhone?
- 11:46Seriously, Solomon, come on. What?
- 11:49So when I look at something like the Book of Revelation, I think
- 11:54John was writing things that he probably didn't have any clue
- 12:01how to describe it what it was, you know, and we've all heard
- 12:04the things, especially back in the 80s, it was really popular
- 12:06that like the wind creatures are the helicopters and you know, we
- 12:09we heard all that stuff, right? And it was intriguing.
- 12:11But when, when you said that about the white stone, when and,
- 12:19and I just want, well, I want to preface it by this because I
- 12:21don't want people to think we're not talking about anything
- 12:24mystical here. If the occult knows about it, if
- 12:26the world elite know about it, God's 10 billion times smarter
- 12:32and bigger. So if, if, if I have something
- 12:36in my hand with quantum capabilities, this is a toy
- 12:40compared to the brain of God, right.
- 12:42So so all that to say this this stone OK, if the if the
- 12:52infrastructure of the beast system is this technology
- 12:55because without technology, the beast is not omniscient, not
- 13:01omnipresent, not omnipotent. So how does this beast look like
- 13:08God? He has an infrastructure that
- 13:10gives him the look of being everywhere with the cameras in
- 13:15the satellites and the GPS positioning systems, etcetera.
- 13:18He's got the look of being all knowing.
- 13:20He's got the look of of it, but he he all you do is pull his
- 13:24plug from the wall. All you do is have like what an
- 13:26EMP failure and the beast is done it.
- 13:30It's the it's the Wizard of Oz man behind the curtain moment
- 13:35for that guy right. So prefacing that our
- 13:41technological infrastructure, if you want to go into the elements
- 13:46that make a computer chip, you're looking at stones, right?
- 13:52And when you look at a whitestone with a new name on it
- 13:57that no one knows, this is technology jargon.
- 14:01This is a password that can't be encrypted.
- 14:03You know, it's encrypted. It's an encrypted name.
- 14:05It's an encrypted password etched on a stone.
- 14:10I mean, I, I think here there's nothing new under the sun.
- 14:16Your technology, Satan, you're crown jewel of AI chips that are
- 14:22going to turn sentient and these quantum computers.
- 14:26I I think John was writing about this stuff.
- 14:28He beat you to the punch by couple.
- 14:31You know, millennial here, millenniums here, right.
- 14:34So I don't know. I just, I like to look at I'm,
- 14:39I'm not trying to force modern interpretations into the text.
- 14:44What I'm trying to do is get Christians especially to
- 14:47understand, no matter how technologically advanced we get,
- 14:52no matter what we can hack, what we can do, all this voice to
- 14:56skull technology and they can read our minds and they can now
- 14:59interact with our dreams like whatever they've discovered.
- 15:04It is child's play to the mind of God.
- 15:09That's why when the beast comes, he's going to be destroyed in a
- 15:13moment and the world's going to look up on him and say that
- 15:16that's what kept the nation's sway.
- 15:18So we have to just understand that all of this technology,
- 15:25it's absolutely nothing to to thwart the plans of God.
- 15:32And the reason why I'm going in this direction right now, Rod,
- 15:36is because I just think with this whole perishing for lack of
- 15:41knowledge, what the the brick wall most people think, the
- 15:45brick wall that they keep hitting as they try to know more
- 15:48and more about God or the Bible is intellect.
- 15:51Like, well, I don't know the Greek, I don't know the Hebrew.
- 15:53I'm never been book smart and I'm not really good at reading.
- 15:57The brick wall that keeps us from knowing more is fear went
- 16:04and this goes back to the Magdala and what you're talking
- 16:06about. And and this ties into
- 16:08frequencies and things like that.
- 16:09So here's the deal, because I see this in my own ministry.
- 16:14I can quote something directly from the Bible and people will
- 16:19say, quit scaring us. OK, this is what I have to say.
- 16:23If I'm quoting a scripture and that scares you, that's not
- 16:26between me and you. That's between you and God, who
- 16:28tells us 365 times in the Bible to not be afraid.
- 16:31So if you're afraid, you have to work that out with fear and
- 16:35trembling. We have to stop turning around
- 16:40at these brick walls when something scares us.
- 16:43When something scares us, we're on the verge of breakthrough.
- 16:48We have to work through that fear or we are never going to
- 16:52know the real God or the real Messiah.
- 16:56If we're looking for a safe, approachable Messiah who's
- 17:01coming back with a sword strapped to his thigh, we're not
- 17:04going to recognize the right guy because he's not going to be
- 17:10he'll be safe for us because we're we're saved.
- 17:13But if we're looking for something that we can completely
- 17:18put into a box and understand and that it it works out with a
- 17:22scientific method and nothing it look at every single person in
- 17:28scripture that came even somewhat close to something
- 17:31holy. These guys weren't jumping
- 17:35around running to church the next day saying God, tell me
- 17:38something in my dream last night like these weren't these people
- 17:41were undone. They were scared, they were
- 17:43repenting of their sins. They were falling on their
- 17:47faces, they were fainting, they were trembling.
- 17:49They were physically I'll for some weeks afterwards.
- 17:53They were ostracized. Many of them were thrown out of
- 17:57the temple. Some of them were martyred.
- 17:59It is a serious thing to get in the proximity of holiness.
- 18:05And so it will be a fearful journey and we have to stop
- 18:10letting that you know, cognitive dissonance is the is the big
- 18:13modern phrase. But this fear, because as soon
- 18:17as we don't understand God, as soon as God or Jesus don't come
- 18:22off like an approachable human being, we start to bristle.
- 18:28We want a God that we can contain, that we can understand.
- 18:31That's always going to be friendly.
- 18:33It's always going to have his arm around us telling us we did
- 18:35a great job and we have that to look forward to.
- 18:38Rod, well done, good and faithful servant.
- 18:41I'm looking forward to that. But we have to find ways where
- 18:50our fear does not impede our increase of knowledge in getting
- 18:56to know and love God. We, we have to have affections
- 19:04for Jesus Christ and we cannot have genuine affections for him
- 19:09if we're harboring sin in our heart.
- 19:12And the, the, the obstacles to those affections.
- 19:18We have to overcome our fear when we're in the word, when we
- 19:22come up with a verse we don't like, we don't understand those
- 19:26passages in Scripture that don't make immediate sense, where
- 19:29women and children and animals are getting slaughtered.
- 19:32And we have to work through those hard passages.
- 19:36We have to tackle them. We can't just skip that verse
- 19:41and move on to the next verse. And there's too many churches
- 19:44where they're, you know, working through a chapter and then those
- 19:48hard verses are mysteriously missing from next week's sermon.
- 19:51We gotta stop doing that. There's nothing to be afraid of.
- 19:56There's nothing that we can discover in the Bible that is
- 20:01ultimately going to shake who God is or, or who we are in
- 20:06Christ. We we, we do not have to be
- 20:08afraid of the tough scary stuff, the spiritual warfare stuff, the
- 20:12demonic stuff. I just think this is one of the
- 20:17ways we need to encourage one another daily.
- 20:20Don't be afraid if you're not, don't be afraid.
- 20:23Don't be afraid. Press in harder.
- 20:27There's so much that's coming to the forefront of my mind as I'm
- 20:31listening to you. You know, perfect love casts out
- 20:35fear, but yet God is saying with fear and trembling, work out
- 20:40your salvation, but he's subscribing to us.
- 20:45This is what you plug into. Do not fear the enemy.
- 20:48Do not be dismayed right? 360 Sometimes it's in there for
- 20:55us and it's always followed up with God, you know, saying do
- 21:00not let my law depart from your mouth.
- 21:03OK, so it might sound like I'm jumping around a little bit, but
- 21:06in Proverbs it says so if a man thinketh he is right.
- 21:11And so there's, you know, the placebo effect, which everybody
- 21:14knows about. But there's the nocebo effect,
- 21:18which is the negative connotation to you actually
- 21:21having a precognitive idea in your mind about the medicine
- 21:24having bad adverse reactions. So therefore you bring the onset
- 21:28of a sugar pill that you think is, you know, whatever, right?
- 21:33And it is medically studied show that.
- 21:36So the vessels, the, the nephesh, the Ocarion that we
- 21:40have because Christ came in the flesh.
- 21:43This is the gospel like the Lamb of God comes in the flesh.
- 21:47And so how, how do you feel fear?
- 21:49You know, I, I've thought about this, I've been beaten to death.
- 21:53I've thought about this, I've lived through this, right?
- 21:56And, and you feel it like somewhere from your solar plexus
- 22:00to your pineal, but your skin, you can feel it on your skin
- 22:06when fear is in the air. And I really do think Vicki that
- 22:10the demoniac pick up the scent, especially regional and
- 22:15territorial spirits, fear and Doctor Lara's research is is
- 22:20super lative. I mean, you know, I've had
- 22:23plenty of off air discussions with her and she's been on the
- 22:26show and you know, I like I, I know what she offers.
- 22:29And that's why I'm such a, you know, loudspeaker saying, yeah,
- 22:33I support what you're doing because not many people are
- 22:35willing to come out and get to the nitty and gritty because a
- 22:38lot of things are fear mongering, fear based, decision
- 22:41making fear based. You know, I'm not going to work
- 22:44with this person because I'm afraid what people may say about
- 22:46me. And I don't want, I mean, come
- 22:48on, we got to get past that 110%.
- 22:52So I love what Dan Duvall says also because he's like, if the
- 22:55enemy is this big and SRA is that bad and the systems have
- 23:00been infiltrated this deep, he's going, that means God is bigger
- 23:06than all of the compartmentalized plans of the
- 23:10enemy. And he says we are going to have
- 23:13a justice case, a testimony against the Kingdom of darkness.
- 23:19That's what's happening. We're testifying, we're learning
- 23:22this stuff. We're living in this space where
- 23:25God is just doing something different.
- 23:27The, the reprieve, whatever you want to call it, right?
- 23:29There's something in the air that is different with the sons
- 23:33of God. When we start to rise up and say
- 23:36where my heel touches down belongs to the King of Kings.
- 23:40And we start, you know, there's this whole thing where I'm not
- 23:44going to say the guy's name, but a prominent minister.
- 23:47And there's guys that that I've been leading and just coaching
- 23:49and, and building with building them up for quite some time now.
- 23:53We do a Thursday night prayer call and this one prominent
- 23:57preacher comes out and has this, this really well laid out
- 24:01teaching like 45 minutes long talking about how we should
- 24:05really not wrestle and go to war and we should really be
- 24:10submissive. And everything's in God's hands.
- 24:12And, and it's like you use scripture in such a way that it
- 24:15was the absence of everything that all the scriptures that God
- 24:18was giving me. So as I'm watching it, I'm
- 24:19going, that's not genuine, that's not right.
- 24:23Because God works in and through us, right?
- 24:26We, we have literally a twinkling of an eye that will
- 24:31take place at his perfect timing.
- 24:34Not one yacht or one title will pass away from what he has
- 24:36ordained to happen. And so you mean to tell me the
- 24:39vessel he's given me right now, I need to just bow down and roll
- 24:41over and let the enemy do whatever he wants to me?
- 24:44Like because he's presenting scriptures where I'm like,
- 24:46you're right, but your context is off.
- 24:49You're actually allowing fear to navigate the way that your
- 24:52ministry is working in order to not bring out the courage that
- 24:55was in David and in Joshua and in Caleb.
- 24:59And I'm sorry, but I'm on the other side of the spectrum here.
- 25:02I am full-fledged into this thing and I'm not going to
- 25:06relent. Amen.
- 25:08I'm in, I'm in agreement. I'm going to I'm just pulling up
- 25:11a verse here so I can get it get it right.
- 25:13Hebrews 412. I've been in Hebrews the last
- 25:15couple days and Oh my gosh, what a book.
- 25:17I 01 of these days we got to talk about Oh man, Rod, I I
- 25:22can't even go down that rabbit hole right now.
- 25:23We got to talk about the the priesthood, eternal priest.
- 25:26Oh my gosh. But anyway, it's not pulling it
- 25:31up. But Hebrews 412 is that the
- 25:37Kingdom of God is taken by force.
- 25:41The the is it the violent take it by force or the righteous
- 25:44take it by force? We're.
- 25:45Supposed if God suffers violence and violent men take it by
- 25:49force. Yeah.
- 25:50And thinking it, that's what it is, really.
- 25:53Again, OK, well, that's perplexing.
- 25:55Violent men, you know, especially in our culture where
- 25:58we're being told like, everybody has to calm down.
- 26:00And, you know, I mean, we can't even speak truth without it
- 26:04being considered an assault. You know what I mean?
- 26:09So, yeah, like, you know, there, there's certain things that we,
- 26:15we pigeonhole everything, like anger, it's always bad.
- 26:19But there's righteous anger. Am I not allowed to be angry
- 26:23that children are being trafficked and destroyed?
- 26:26Yeah, that's righteous anger. And you know, this whole thing
- 26:30too with like, violence, violence is always bad.
- 26:33And we need to be pacifist and we need to just sit here and,
- 26:36you know, not defend our families and and what not.
- 26:40There's a time for everything. Even Ecclesiastes says there's a
- 26:43time for war, a time for peace and it it's just having the
- 26:48discernment to know what you know, we have to be honest with
- 26:51ourselves. This is why King David was said,
- 26:53search me, try me. Oh God, is there any unclean
- 26:56thing in me? Because sometimes we can think
- 26:59our motives are righteous and they're not.
- 27:02But there is a time to take action.
- 27:05There is a time to say enough is enough.
- 27:07And even these verses in Scripture, I'm not trying to
- 27:10step on toes here, Rod, but even the Scriptures that we quote and
- 27:14that were quoted a lot in 2020 in Peter, in Romans, about we
- 27:22are to just blindly fall on our faces and do every single thing
- 27:26the governing authorities tell us to do or we're somehow
- 27:29unpleasing to God. If you read those passages in
- 27:33context, the reason we are supposed to submit to governing
- 27:38authorities is because they were the ones called by God to uphold
- 27:44the law, and because they're upholding righteousness, good
- 27:49and evil, right and wrong. If we rebel, it means we're
- 27:53rebelling against the law of God.
- 27:55And so if all the sudden you have a rogue or a tyrannical
- 27:59government who's taken over and they are unjust and they are not
- 28:05upholding the laws and commands of God, we're we're not being
- 28:10told to blindly follow after tyranny.
- 28:13And and so I just think that we have to rightly divide some of
- 28:17these more difficult passages. I mean, look how much war was
- 28:22involved in the Old Testament. Now we figure out later when
- 28:27we're much older, we figure out, oh, these were demigods and
- 28:32these were maybe not even human in every case.
- 28:37Like now all the sudden it makes sense why there is war going on.
- 28:44And it it's just, it's so it's so complicated rod without
- 28:49context. And and this is then where we
- 28:52get God thrown into the bucket of just being a tyrant and a
- 28:56jerk and blood, blood loving and fear mongering.
- 28:59You know, we don't understand that.
- 29:03Genesis 3 was the the the gun at the starting line, you know,
- 29:09that started the seed war. There is our entire existence as
- 29:16humanity is basically we're cannon fodder in the middle of a
- 29:20seed war that's going on around us.
- 29:23And if we can't see that and we think that we're all just
- 29:26supposed to sit around and just rest on our laurels till Jesus
- 29:30comes back, we're supposed to occupy till he comes.
- 29:34That's a, that's a, that's a military term.
- 29:41OK, where do I get my mind goes 10 places.
- 29:45I'm in Second Samuel 21. The relevancy of this OK is this
- 29:51is powerful. Now, a couple things.
- 29:53I was in Mike Heiser's hometown, Lebanon, PA, where he was born
- 29:58and raised. And we had a, it was called a
- 30:00revival. A guy named Marcus Rogers came
- 30:04out who's really good friends with the gentleman that I
- 30:06minister with their like brothers.
- 30:08His name's Klaus. And leading up to this for three
- 30:13weeks during my men's Bible studies on Thursday nights, our
- 30:16prayer calls, whatever you want to call it, where we're hashing
- 30:18it out. I'm in Second Samuel 21 and I'm
- 30:22stuck there. Normally we, we'd spend a little
- 30:25time to go through it. I literally had like nine
- 30:28people. The core group like Rod, can we
- 30:30move on? I'm going, Nope, God didn't tell
- 30:33me I could move on from it yet. And there's, there's going to be
- 30:36about 10 guys out there smiling when they hear this recording
- 30:39because they're going to be like, Yup, we remember how
- 30:40adamant he was about staying there.
- 30:43Well, we're going through second Samuel 21 over and over and over
- 30:46again. And this is what's interesting
- 30:50is the Scriptures say that the seed of David will always be
- 30:57occupied by the righteous until this millennial reign of Christ,
- 31:02right? So it is literally a seat that
- 31:05is to be fulfilled. I think this intersects with
- 31:07Melchizedek, but I'm not going to get that deep and crazy into
- 31:10it. But So what we see David saying
- 31:13here is a man after the Lord's heart, OK, is recognizing
- 31:18there's a famine in the land that lasted for three years.
- 31:23And David asked the Lord, and I'm going to paraphrase and kind
- 31:26of read through a little bit of it.
- 31:28And the Lord said that the famine has come because Saul and
- 31:30his family are guilty of murdering the Gibeonites.
- 31:34So the king summons the Gibeonites and they were not
- 31:37part of Israel, but they were they were left out of the
- 31:40nations and they they were a part of these Amorites.
- 31:44And so the people of of Israel had sworn not to kill them, but
- 31:47Saul and his zeal for Israel and Judah tried to wipe them out.
- 31:51So David asked them, what can I do for you?
- 31:53Like, what's the recompense here?
- 31:54How do we make this right? How can I make amends so that
- 31:59the Lord will bless his people again?
- 32:03And they say, well, listen, money, that's not going to
- 32:06settle this matter between us, the family of Saul.
- 32:11This, this is where the errors at and neither can we demand the
- 32:15life of anyone in Israel and David's like just tell me what I
- 32:23got to do like this, this is getting crazy.
- 32:25And they reply it was Saul who planned to destroy us to keep us
- 32:29from having a place in this territory of Israel.
- 32:32So let 7 of Saul's sons be handed over.
- 32:36What's interesting is they literally say no person of
- 32:39Israel can we demand their life, But right back-to-back then
- 32:43they're saying give us seven sons of Saul.
- 32:47And so when you go on and on and just keep reading down through
- 32:49this, I'm challenging the listeners to go get into second
- 32:52statement 21 because for three weeks we extrapolated every
- 32:55detail out of there. I'm just trying to scoot through
- 32:57it right now, but really what it comes down to is there's a
- 33:00spiritual legality on the land that is taking place.
- 33:04The king understands this. He initiates with God what what
- 33:08happens here? Make contact with these people?
- 33:10There's an injustice. They figure out what the payment
- 33:13is. And then immediately when you
- 33:15get to the bottom of this whole thing and the curse is lifted
- 33:19from the land, it says as you read further down by God,
- 33:23because of recompense has been given, what happens?
- 33:26There's a physical battle. It's called battle against the
- 33:29Philistine giants. And so Ishnabab was a descendant
- 33:34of the giants. His bronze spearhead weighed
- 33:37more than 7 lbs, just the tip of a spearhead.
- 33:42And he was armed with a new sword.
- 33:46We'll have fun on that if we have time.
- 33:48And he concerned himself that David was going to get killed by
- 33:54this new sword. But a gentleman steps in.
- 33:58I can't pronounce his name. I still can't, even though I've
- 34:01read it 1000 times. Ishinabaya, I think it is Ibaya,
- 34:07son of Zariah, came to David's rescue, and he kills this
- 34:12Philistine. And so David's men make this
- 34:15declaration. And this is kind of where I'm
- 34:16going to wrap it up and just give a little bit more context
- 34:18on why this is so important. They say, David, if you would
- 34:23have died, you would have risked snuffing out the light of
- 34:27Israel. So God is the same yesterday,
- 34:30today, and forever, right? That ends my reading right there
- 34:34in verse 17 of second Psalm. The 21.
- 34:37I'm not, I'm not going to keep going through everything, but it
- 34:40does have relevancy in this area.
- 34:43God is the same. There's spiritual legalities
- 34:47over the land, there's recompense that need to be made.
- 34:49It's going to require sons of God to recognize that and say
- 34:52Lord, what needs to be handed over, what needs to happen?
- 34:56And then we literally see a physical battle with Raphaeum
- 35:00with Nephilim, 6 fingers, right? I mean, they got 24 digits,
- 35:10double rows of teeth. And these guys are not playing
- 35:13around. Now when I was in Lebanon, PA to
- 35:16to wrap this thing up, Vicki, Mike Heiser's hometown, people
- 35:19are getting baptized or getting set free.
- 35:22I mean, this is a crazy, it's love in the streets.
- 35:24So this thing is happening in the streets.
- 35:25It's not even a fancy get to whatever you want to call it.
- 35:28It is literally happening. And Marcus comes in and as soon
- 35:33as he lands, you know, I go out and I meet him, I greet him.
- 35:35Marcus Rogers, for those of you who know who he is, he's just a
- 35:38man of God in my opinion. He's he's a forerunner, a
- 35:41visionary. And he says there's a shift in
- 35:46the spirit here. There's an opposition from the
- 35:49giants on this land. And he goes, God just had me
- 35:54rewrite my whole sermon. So he gets up there and starts
- 35:57speaking and he says, God led me to Second Samuel 21 and all, all
- 36:04my 10 guys are there at this revival in the streets and
- 36:09they're all looking at me and I'm like, we're on to something
- 36:13now. And he goes through and pulls
- 36:16out just gems. But the reason I say that is
- 36:21because that's what's happening. Men are rising up.
- 36:23Men are coming together. We're understanding.
- 36:25There's an ache, a sour spiritual condition on the land
- 36:30that needs needs some delivering over of some wicked servants who
- 36:35have not held their bargain. So whatever that means to you
- 36:40guys as listeners, it means just like I said it to you, Vicki.
- 36:46You know, I'm going to pass it back to you with a question.
- 36:49At this point in time, with everything that you've
- 36:53experienced and up until this part of your your walk with the
- 36:57Lord, what is the most significant thing that you feel
- 37:01and see shifting right now in the body of Christ?
- 37:07That you're excited and feel the power building up from that.
- 37:13I think ever since 2020, I have seen a separation within the
- 37:23walls of the Capital Sea Church of the sheep and the goats, the
- 37:28wheat and the tares. There's been a shaking because
- 37:35guess what? It says in Hebrews to not
- 37:39forsake the gathering, especially as the days, you
- 37:43know, grow short. But most of the people that I
- 37:47know that left the church weren't the faithful people who
- 37:51were going to know. The people that left were the
- 37:54ones that realized the temple of God is no longer a safe place to
- 38:00hide. I'm getting out of here because
- 38:03when Jesus comes back, the the judgment begins with the House
- 38:08of God. And this is not where I want to
- 38:10be when judgment comes. And so I am, I am seeing a
- 38:17separation of, of the, of the sheep and the goats, the tares
- 38:23being pulled out of out of the church.
- 38:28And I'm seeing people that are going back to the concept that
- 38:34Christianity isn't a place or a religion, but it is a setting
- 38:40apart. I'm not going to look like my
- 38:44culture. I'm going to be separate.
- 38:48I'm not going to dress or eat or be entertained the way Babylon
- 38:54is entertained. And So what I think we need to
- 38:58be aware of, and this is potentially one of those brick
- 39:00walls where we become afraid. So we stick our head in the
- 39:03sand. But all of us want safety and
- 39:08prosperity. It's in our human nature to want
- 39:11to feel safe and to be able to feed our families and to not
- 39:15fear. And there's a lot of hope now in
- 39:22a lot of people because of the political goings on in the
- 39:28country. But here's the deal.
- 39:35In every case of revival, we're a nation.
- 39:39We don't want America to come back to financial prosperity.
- 39:43You know, as believers, we want we want to make America godly
- 39:48again, right? And so when you look at revivals
- 39:54where nations fall on their faces and repent of their sins
- 39:58and they turn back to God and all the bars and the strip
- 40:02joints close down and the porn industry goes down the tubes, it
- 40:05like when you're looking at that kind of a thing, what precedes
- 40:09revival is persecution. And because that's what brings
- 40:16on a humbling and a conviction and.
- 40:20What do we have in Revelation? What precedes the beast?
- 40:26Everyone running around saying peace, peace, safety, safety.
- 40:30So I'm not making any sort of, you know, this president is the
- 40:35Antichrist and this president is the fault.
- 40:37Like, I'm not saying any of that.
- 40:38What I'm telling you is if you're going to use our culture
- 40:43as a litmus test to determine where we are in terms of revival
- 40:48or the end, I'm telling you that prosperity leads to Antichrist
- 40:55beast system and persecution leads to revival.
- 41:03And so we have to read the signs correctly this kindergarten,
- 41:09understanding that as long as we're all happy and rich, God's
- 41:14blessing us. And if we're we're poor, he's
- 41:17turned his back on us. It's not a good litmus test.
- 41:22And so there's a shaking going on.
- 41:27And you know, you know what, Rod, I, I don't know if Jesus is
- 41:33coming back soon or if we are just coming to the end of the
- 41:38reign of the mighty United States of America.
- 41:41Guess what? When America crumbles and we're
- 41:43not rich and prosperous anymore, Jesus doesn't have to come back
- 41:47because we can't buy groceries anymore, right?
- 41:51You know, there are still hundreds of people, groups who
- 41:56have never heard the gospel in their language, never seen the
- 41:59word. Jesus doesn't have to, you know,
- 42:03hit the red button and destroy the whole planet before millions
- 42:08of people have heard the gospel because America's not rich
- 42:10anymore. And so we have to be sober about
- 42:13this. I'm just really realistically a
- 42:16realistic about it, Rod. And the reason why I'm not
- 42:18scared about it is I do know that even if everything I've
- 42:23known for my entire life goes away and the rest of my life is
- 42:29difficult. Yeah.
- 42:32Thou walk through the valley, the shadow of death.
- 42:34I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.
- 42:38That is why it doesn't matter if my country is rich or prosperous
- 42:44or not, God is going to take care of me.
- 42:46I'm I'm, I'm going to be kept safe and safe might not look the
- 42:53same in my book as as in his book.
- 42:57Look at the cast of characters in the book of Hebrews, men of
- 43:02of whom the world was not worthy and they had difficult lives and
- 43:05they died before they saw the promises.
- 43:07And so that's good enough for me.
- 43:09You know, I trust God, but I just we who are the true Saints
- 43:18and warriors and brides of Christ have to understand that
- 43:27this country is not going to be favored by God if we are out of
- 43:33covenant with him, if we're rewriting the law or if we don't
- 43:41clean up the dung. You know, it says in the Old
- 43:43Testament, I think it's in Deuteronomy, God literally said
- 43:46and and I don't think it was God.
- 43:47I think, I think in this context, it was the pre
- 43:50Incarnate Messiah. I think Jehovah was saying to
- 43:53them, if you don't build the treens out of the way and clean
- 44:00up the dung, if there's dung laying all over this camp, I'm
- 44:06not going to walk among you. It literally says and is
- 44:09specifically says, if you clean up the dung, I will walk among
- 44:14you and fight your enemies for you.
- 44:17Now look, look at what's happening with our culture.
- 44:22Look at how many of the culture wars the church is losing right
- 44:26now. We have to clean up the dung.
- 44:31That that's what it means when we make straight the way of the
- 44:34Lord. That when the there was a King's
- 44:36highway and when the king would come into your dirty little
- 44:39town, everyone would collectively get together and
- 44:41they would prepare the King's Hwy.
- 44:43They pull the weeds, they'd scrape up all the horse poop.
- 44:46They'd they'd get the hose out. They would make this worthy of a
- 44:50king. So if he stepped down with his
- 44:53sandaled feet, nothing's going to touch the King's foot.
- 44:57We have a solid, filthy, dirty, wretched King's Hwy. running
- 45:04from the East Coast to the West Coast of the United States of
- 45:08America. And if we don't prepare the
- 45:11King's Hwy., the King will not come.
- 45:19Which is so profound, you know, and, and everything's multi
- 45:22layered. So by cleaning up the dung, this
- 45:25is a calling as an individual personalized case because it's
- 45:31not a matter of what's going on in the White House that's going
- 45:34to determine what your next four years look like.
- 45:38I mean, it's going to have a say, but I'll tell you what the
- 45:41condition of your house. I mean, honestly, I would like
- 45:46to see it issued out that there be a real understanding of
- 45:51repentance put out there. Turning away.
- 45:54It's actionary. It's not some lofty thing where
- 45:57it's like, oh, I repented man, you know, I said forgive me.
- 45:59Lord invited him into my heart. But it's actionary.
- 46:03In the English military, when they repent, it means to turn.
- 46:06They do a 180 repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.
- 46:10This is what Jesus himself as he's walking in the flesh is
- 46:14preaching, the gospel of the Kingdom being at hand.
- 46:18That's what precedes him. That is what the disciples are
- 46:20doing after the apostles are are sent out with this message.
- 46:26And so it does cost something on our end.
- 46:30There's a cost. And it's just like Shadrach,
- 46:34Meshach and Abednego said, you know, if God be pleased to save
- 46:38us from this fire that is brewing because he is capable.
- 46:43But if you choose not, let it be known, right?
- 46:46I'm not bowing down. I'm not going to roll around in
- 46:50the streets of dung. I'm sick of casting my swirl
- 46:52among the pine, the the swine, right?
- 46:55I'm sick of, you know, being timid by this culture.
- 46:59And not that I've been timid by the culture, but, but I will say
- 47:04this, I've been reserved for a very long time.
- 47:08I've been on the back burner for a long time.
- 47:11And I think that there's a generation of men out there that
- 47:15it seems to be when I speak and I share my thoughts, they're
- 47:18like, I'm rocking with you. I'm right there with you like
- 47:22you're you're speaking what I've been recycling through my mind.
- 47:26So repentance is so much more. And, and really with the time
- 47:31left, us strengthening what remains has to start with us
- 47:35taking our walk serious. Like, we can't just be out here
- 47:39acting like it's cool to expose the enemy and then the enemy
- 47:44comes after you and then you're crying to every single ministry.
- 47:48Help me, protect me. I'm dealing with five times
- 47:51worse sleep paralysis now. I'm dealing with, you know,
- 47:53demonic entities are tormenting my kids.
- 47:56I mean, I'm hearing reports of that.
- 47:58I'm hearing reports of people that you thought were
- 48:00untouchable seeking out a refuge.
- 48:05And so in the humility of it, what's the most genuine way to
- 48:08go about this? Vicki repent right.
- 48:11We need to turn away from certain things.
- 48:13I did that episode spiritual Declaration of Independence for
- 48:17the state of PA it you know, this took six to eight months to
- 48:22develop in the gutter uncertainty, you know, job
- 48:28coming and going. I mean I'm I'm on the Cliff.
- 48:31It's it's like behind the scenes that the podcast world doesn't
- 48:33get it. But there's a group of men that
- 48:35that have locked arms with me and lifted my arms and they get
- 48:38weak who understand the cost. But we drove this thing from
- 48:41Philly to Pittsburgh. We prayed it for the first time
- 48:44in Ohio outside of the state, because God was showing us that
- 48:48even the men of God in in the word would go up to a high place
- 48:51away from there where they were prophesying or from where these
- 48:55things were taking place, right. And so the whole thing has been
- 48:59engraved and God literally like I'm hard headed.
- 49:01So I learned a lot of things the hard way and I'm repenting and
- 49:05crying out behind the scenes. Just like man, I've been
- 49:08stubborn. God, remove it, know what's in
- 49:11me, because you do know it, God, and I'm not going to hide it,
- 49:14but remove it from me and lead me into this way everlasting.
- 49:19And so repentance is the willingness to identify and then
- 49:23turn away from it. It's actionary because there's a
- 49:28lot of dung, as you said, that is all over this American
- 49:34culture. Yeah, there is.
- 49:36And what's so beautiful about repentance?
- 49:39I maybe it's my age Rod, but there gets a point where having
- 49:43to look some in the eye and say I am so sorry I screwed up,
- 49:46please forgive me. It's really not that hard to say
- 49:49I was wrong. I don't know why, but but
- 49:52anyway, when we humble ourselves in the sight of God, he lifts us
- 49:58up. He doesn't just say like he, he
- 50:01doesn't rubber nose in it like some, you know, dog that ruined
- 50:04the carpet, right? Or he doesn't say, well, OK, you
- 50:06know, you know, but now I'm going to give you the silent
- 50:07treatment for a week because you were mean to me, you know, like
- 50:10he immediately pulls us off the ground.
- 50:15He lifts us back up and he he restores us to our salvation.
- 50:20There's never any stagnancy once we are willing to to repent.
- 50:30And I just want to say something basically too right where you
- 50:34were talking, Rod, about all these men getting together as we
- 50:38were talking about before the show.
- 50:40I, I've been praying for years for just the, the Christian men
- 50:47in this country to join forces and, and, and come together.
- 50:53I, you know, what I always think of the visual in my head Rod is
- 50:56that that scene from Braveheart where Marin, the, the bride,
- 51:04Braveheart, Wallace's bride, she gets captured and the camera
- 51:09angles are darting in the hills. And so it's like you're looking
- 51:13from her perspective. She's waiting for her knight in
- 51:16shining armor to show up on the horse with his Mace.
- 51:18You know, he, she, she's, she's just frantically looking for the
- 51:22hills because she knows Wallace is going to come and save her.
- 51:25And the first time I saw that movie, I was so shocked when
- 51:31they slit her throat and she died.
- 51:33And I'm like, what? And that's kind of how I feel
- 51:40sometimes, Rod, as as a woman, as a Christian woman, as a
- 51:44single woman with an elderly father Culturally right now, I
- 51:50feel like I'm tied to that pole and I'm frantically looking at
- 51:56the hillside for the men on the horses to show up.
- 51:59Where are they? Where are they?
- 52:00Where are they? And I know a lot of them are in
- 52:02their prayer closets and on their knees.
- 52:04And I know that they're out there.
- 52:07And I know that this has to be the Lord's timing and the Lord's
- 52:11way. And, and, and I know that it's
- 52:16not a matter of men being weak or not caring.
- 52:20I'm not going to buy into this lie that every guy is down in
- 52:22his basement playing video games all day long.
- 52:25I know that's not true. But I just want to encourage you
- 52:29and the guys that are are with you and the guys that are going
- 52:33to join you, because I do think this is going to get bigger and
- 52:35bigger. And I just want to encourage men
- 52:37out there. I, I told Rod before the show, I
- 52:40said, I, I don't care what the media is throwing at us, what
- 52:43the culture is trying to do. I absolutely believe that men
- 52:48want to be men and that women want men to be men.
- 52:56So mic drop, you know, Vicki, what I, what I responded with is
- 53:07there's been forerunners in this space who have been echoing this
- 53:12out and there's been women of faith who have stood and
- 53:20petitioned for men to literally be what they're called to be.
- 53:25And we were talking a little bit and you, you were kind of
- 53:28commenting and saying, well, Rod, what, what do you think the
- 53:30women are going to do when the men rise up?
- 53:35And immediately I get hit with this scripture that I shared
- 53:39with you, then I'm going to share with the audience.
- 53:41Now the Bible talks about for women to teach the the older
- 53:45women to teach the younger women in the way of righteousness, to
- 53:50honor and respect their husbands right to dress in a way that is
- 53:54not provocative. Don't don't lead somebody a
- 53:57snare because you're pulling up your skirt high like a lot of
- 54:00women do at church. Let let godliness be what you
- 54:05adorn yourself with and the law of kindness be on your tongue.
- 54:10Because listen, there's some men who are going to come over to
- 54:14the other side with camaraderie and they're they're going to
- 54:17feel it. But they have not been in a
- 54:20battle before. They're not battle ready.
- 54:26Yeah. And so it's going to be men and
- 54:31women, the only two genders that there are working in tandem
- 54:35together. There's no lowering of one
- 54:38status and and lifting of another status.
- 54:40I think that men are rising up to the place where they have
- 54:44been ordained to be by God. And there's women there that are
- 54:47going to blush and that are going to worship God and say for
- 54:51men have risen in my generation. I have lived to see the
- 54:56hoodwinked generation rise back and depend on the strong tower
- 55:01we're running unto it or making a choice ourselves to say I'm
- 55:08here for such a time as this. This is why the Bible says wash
- 55:11your mind, make renew your mind in the word of God, because the
- 55:17scary truth is, is like Dan says, the false reality overlay.
- 55:22It's it's you being trained since the time you were born to
- 55:25serve the God of your belly. But now the God of all creation
- 55:28may strip away the things that please your belly and make it a
- 55:32little bit rough. It may get a little bit
- 55:34challenging. You might find yourself
- 55:36wondering, how am I going to afford the grocery?
- 55:38Some of us are already there. I've already been.
- 55:41How am I going to pay the rent? God was faithful.
- 55:43He showed up the last minute, but I'm telling you, he has
- 55:45trained me over the years from a big, cool, great job, everything
- 55:50going great in my life. Yeah, I worked at this company
- 55:53for 10 years. We had a dream car, my dream
- 55:55girl. We almost bought our dream house
- 55:58and God flipped the script on me and literally has had me in the
- 56:01mud for a couple years and I'm like, did I do something wrong
- 56:05this whole time I'm like wrestling with and I'm like
- 56:08trying to figure it out. And then he's been showing me
- 56:10he's like, man, I. I have allowed you to go through
- 56:13things so that your voice will resonate with what I'm speaking
- 56:16from heaven. To be confidence and
- 56:18encouragement for men who are used to being very comfortable.
- 56:23Yeah, yeah. This is real.
- 56:25So women, we need you to pray and intercede and be a godly
- 56:29example. The real widows are the if you
- 56:32lost your husband and you're, you're a female, you have closed
- 56:35your legs and lived holy before the Lord.
- 56:37That's a real widow. I know there's some women out
- 56:40there that want to say that they're widows, but they got
- 56:42provocative pitches on their Facebook and they're chasing
- 56:44another man. And it's like, man, we need to,
- 56:46to, to honor what God is saying, his standard on the
- 56:50qualifications of what a, a woman of God looks like or a
- 56:54widow who needs to be taken care of by men.
- 56:57Or you know, that the fatherless, like we need to also
- 57:00have the foundation to go. If I'm going to lay it on the
- 57:04line, if I'm going to step into this place with even more of a
- 57:07public target on my back for what God is calling me to do,
- 57:13It's going to be for for a righteous flock that is willing
- 57:16to turn away to repent, make some changes and be be holy as
- 57:22he is holy. That's probably one of the most
- 57:24terrifying verses. Be holy as I am holy.
- 57:26Amen. Yeah.
- 57:28Wow. Well, and for listeners out
- 57:30there, if there's ladies out there that are bristling at some
- 57:33of the things that Rod just said, if it feels better to hear
- 57:37it from a female voice, let me put this in perspective when we
- 57:40talk about submitting to authority, because that that
- 57:44concept has been utterly destroyed by the enemy.
- 57:47Think of it in terms of this. All the men and women go out to
- 57:50war. We're all getting on our camo
- 57:53and we're getting our weapons. We all go out to war and the
- 57:56commander hands a shield to every man and he hands 2 Shields
- 58:03to every woman. We have a double layer of
- 58:06protection on the battlefield. That's what it looks like.
- 58:09We have men running in front of us in battle to take the
- 58:12bullets. And we've got an extra shield.
- 58:14We've got an extra covering. That's what it looks like when
- 58:18men are doing it faithfully. Yeah, there's there's guys out
- 58:22there that are abusing it and making it look like it shouldn't
- 58:27look. And Rod, I'll be honest, I have
- 58:30the advantage. I've never been abused in any
- 58:34way in my life by a man. I've never had an abusive
- 58:38husband or boyfriend. I had godly men in my life, my
- 58:44my dad, my grandpas. I've never been hurt.
- 58:48So I don't understand the the trauma that women who have gone
- 58:55through that have suffered. And I don't know how that must
- 58:58translate when they hear things in the Bible about trusting a
- 59:02man. And so I'm empathetic to the
- 59:05distortions and the smeared lenses by which the enemy wants
- 59:12us to look at these passages through.
- 59:15But just understand that if men step up into their godly
- 59:19authority and they do this biblically, it means that we
- 59:25have extra layers of protection in the spiritual battle.
- 59:36That's so well said. And just to reiterate, I'm, I'm
- 59:41not asking any women or even greenhorns, young men who are
- 59:46looking for direction that we're not sending you to one ministry
- 59:50to follow. We're not saying mimic every
- 59:52single move this person makes. You need to take orders from
- 59:55this guy. That's not how this works.
- 59:56What this looks like is the king is on the throne.
- 59:59There's a standard, there's dung in the street and we need to
- 1:00:02literally be of one mind, the mind of Christ.
- 1:00:05So if just like there's a 5 fold ministry that God shows us is
- 1:00:09his arsenal, right? We literally have voice boxes
- 1:00:11that God uses. We have people that are
- 1:00:13intimately involved in how your health and your well-being is
- 1:00:17doing. We have shepherds that are
- 1:00:19willing to fight off the wolves. Your double layer of protection
- 1:00:22falls under that role, as well as prophetic voices and
- 1:00:25Apostolic voices, Apostles who are sent out.
- 1:00:28They're like Dan Duvall. He's the tip of a spear.
- 1:00:31He's doing something where it's funny now I see some people are
- 1:00:34starting to catch up with the revelation he had 8-9, ten years
- 1:00:38ago. And I'm not saying that to build
- 1:00:40him like to be like, oh, damn. I'm just saying when when you
- 1:00:43get a double layer of protection, it's not one man
- 1:00:46running the show. It's it's not, you know, this
- 1:00:50ministry all of a sudden you have to go.
- 1:00:52No, it's all of us coming together with a likeness of mind
- 1:00:56saying here I am, Lord, send me. You're the strong tower I'm
- 1:01:03running to in this day, this season for help.
- 1:01:08I have not cast it away, my confidence.
- 1:01:10And you said it has great recompense of reward.
- 1:01:14So protect me, father. And when that happens, when you
- 1:01:19the heart postures, right, we're literally going to see a shield,
- 1:01:24a bubble realm effect over people who have an anointing.
- 1:01:28And that's going to benefit men and women and children and
- 1:01:32elderly. I mean, this is this is the the
- 1:01:37grand opportunity for us to really be about the life that
- 1:01:41that we've desired. It's it's an opportunity for us
- 1:01:45to do what we've noted is absent among Western Christianity.
- 1:01:51It is literally that that God is saying, I will be with you.
- 1:01:57I'm going out before you and this is a generation.
- 1:02:03This is not one church or a building or just just Rod and
- 1:02:08his friends. No, this is sweeping across the
- 1:02:12land. It's like a wave that is coming
- 1:02:15and we can ride that wave or it can, it can crash us in the
- 1:02:18middle of our activities. But I would just highly
- 1:02:21recommend that you guys get right before the Lord by casting
- 1:02:26everything down, every high and lofty thought problem, whatever
- 1:02:30you're going through, cast it down and cry out to him and then
- 1:02:33say, I want to lock arms with my brothers and I want to do what's
- 1:02:38right. I want to be on the right side
- 1:02:40of history. You know, Vicki, as we wind down
- 1:02:42on this one and and this is a unique one because normally we
- 1:02:45have just a single topic we ride out and get deep into like a a
- 1:02:50thread of scriptures and exposed stuff.
- 1:02:51But this is a timely message. This is the whole thing is by
- 1:02:55the moving of the Spirit. So, you know, what is the final
- 1:03:02thing that that's on your heart to speak to every generation
- 1:03:07about the battle plan, the reality of this?
- 1:03:09There's a cost to this. Not everybody's going to make it
- 1:03:12to like, we have to be realists here.
- 1:03:14But you know, what would you say to people who are are are
- 1:03:17nodding their head in real life and in the spirit going, yeah,
- 1:03:20it's about time. Yeah, I can't sit this one out.
- 1:03:22What? What are you going to say to
- 1:03:23that? You sort of beat me to the punch
- 1:03:27because whenever at people ask me like what's step one, I
- 1:03:30always say repentance because and, and I'm glad that you
- 1:03:34clarified what that meant because we have sort of this, I
- 1:03:38call it the Britney Spears theology towards repentance
- 1:03:42these days. Oops, I did it again, you know,
- 1:03:45like this cavalier sort of attitude.
- 1:03:47And when we make war with our flesh to the point where the the
- 1:03:58graphic metaphors and scripture are, I'd rather chop a body part
- 1:04:02off and and have it missing if it's going to be causing me to
- 1:04:07sin. Like we're making war with the
- 1:04:08flesh. So repentance isn't just like,
- 1:04:11forgive me, you know it. It is a a dying to self daily.
- 1:04:18And so maybe that is where I'll go with with the repentance,
- 1:04:21what that should lead to every single day.
- 1:04:25Rod because everybody wants to be the David.
- 1:04:27Everybody wants to go and grab the five stones and slay the
- 1:04:30giant. You know, we all have that
- 1:04:32fantasy that before we die, we can have some sort of, you know,
- 1:04:36medal of valor waiting for us up in heaven.
- 1:04:38You know, we all want that heroic thing.
- 1:04:40I'm I you know, I'm always in my mind like AO and you know, with
- 1:04:43the with the on the battlefield with her sword.
- 1:04:45And you know what I mean? And we all have have that idea.
- 1:04:48Like my mom told me once. Victoria, everybody wants a
- 1:04:54martyr's crown, but are you going to shut your alarm off
- 1:04:58today and just serve him in the monotony?
- 1:05:02And 80 years of faithful monotony is just as heroic as
- 1:05:08dying on a mission field. And So what I would suggest is
- 1:05:14seize an opportunity every single day to make war with your
- 1:05:21flesh. And So what I always tell people
- 1:05:24is, for example, you wake up and you're like, I got to have that
- 1:05:29cup of coffee. Say no to your flesh.
- 1:05:35And I don't mean an hour later, go and have the coffee.
- 1:05:38I mean say no to your flesh every day.
- 1:05:44A simple thing, simple thing because guess what?
- 1:05:47We all talk about this proverbial soldier that's going
- 1:05:50to show up at our door in the end times and put a gun to our
- 1:05:53head and say deny Jesus Christ or die.
- 1:05:56And we all think that just because we prayed a prayer, we
- 1:05:59went to church, that somehow we're going to muster the
- 1:06:01courage in that moment to take a bullet for Jesus name.
- 1:06:05That our instinct for survival is not going to take over at
- 1:06:08that moment. The reason we are going to say I
- 1:06:14refuse to deny Jesus Christ with cold steel pushed to our temple
- 1:06:19is because we practiced saying no every day.
- 1:06:25We practiced courage. We practiced fighting the flesh,
- 1:06:32fighting fear. And if every single day you
- 1:06:36seize one opportunity to tell the flesh, no, no, we are going
- 1:06:41to the gym whether you like it or not.
- 1:06:44No, I'm not going to sit and watch Netflix tonight.
- 1:06:46I'm going to read my Bible. No, I'm I'm not going to drink
- 1:06:49my 3rd Mountain Dew. Just stupid little things.
- 1:06:53If we practice ruling our flesh every day when those heroic
- 1:07:02moments or opportunities do arise and the gun is to the
- 1:07:06temple. We are going to be able to stand
- 1:07:11with the the cast of characters from Hebrews of whom that the
- 1:07:15world was not worthy where we were able to courageously lay
- 1:07:19down our lives for the name of Jesus Christ, which is that
- 1:07:23strong tower. So pick something or just wait
- 1:07:29and see what your flesh starts begging you for tomorrow and and
- 1:07:34make war with the flesh. Because if you can gain mastery
- 1:07:41over your flesh, what you're doing is you're gaining mastery
- 1:07:45over fear. Because we all feel like we're
- 1:07:47not going to be happy or something.
- 1:07:48We got to have what we want. We're constantly feeding the
- 1:07:51flesh. Or IF fasting is another way to
- 1:07:55gain mastery over the flesh and to gain mastery over fear and
- 1:07:58dependence on God. And when we start practicing
- 1:08:01these things, when the crap really hits the fan, we are
- 1:08:06going to fearlessly stand for the name of Jesus.
- 1:08:14The discipline of the Lord. Wow.
- 1:08:19Hebrews 12/11. For the moment, all discipline
- 1:08:23seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields
- 1:08:28the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have
- 1:08:31been trained by it. Trained.
- 1:08:35I think it was Doctor Mike Davis who was taught me about Gunanzo
- 1:08:42is the Greek word for intense inter intervals of training.
- 1:08:48So when we're to be trained up in righteousness and Vicki, what
- 1:08:51you're saying is exactly that, denying the flesh, practicing
- 1:08:55discernment, practicing righteousness, practicing
- 1:08:57discipline, you know, put it to having the heart posture where
- 1:09:00it's like, man, I'm not just going to sit here watch Netflix
- 1:09:02and listen to this podcast and go, oh, that was cool.
- 1:09:05I felt it in the spirit for a minute, but we need all hands on
- 1:09:09deck and we need strong people who are strong in the Lord and.
- 1:09:15And yeah, I get it, the outward man perish, but the inward man
- 1:09:19has made new. So we're wrestling through it
- 1:09:21together. You're not alone, Vicki.
- 1:09:24I just want to honor you and thank you for a Part 3.
- 1:09:28I feel like this is like an old, we're just old friends having
- 1:09:32the conversation of what the next steps of the journey look
- 1:09:36like. Like we're we're getting
- 1:09:37together and highlighting the battle strategy.
- 1:09:40Like, yeah, tomorrow we're waking up at 5 and this is what
- 1:09:43we're carrying out. So it's so real to me.
- 1:09:45It's timely and it it's it's flavorful.
- 1:09:48So I just want to honor you and thank you for joining me again.
- 1:09:52Well, thank you so much for having me.
- 1:09:54It's been a while. It's been great.
- 1:09:57And I always love our chats. I always walk away from them
- 1:10:01just feeling encouraged in my faith and my affections for
- 1:10:06Christ stirred. Praise God.
- 1:10:10Well, that's it. That's the show you guys.
- 1:10:12I'm going to ask you to share this one far and wide.
- 1:10:14Share it with your friends, family members, coworkers.
- 1:10:17Share it with your doctor, your pastor, because it's just how
- 1:10:21you help us and it's the right thing to do.
- 1:10:25Coming to you from Southeastern Pennsylvania.
- 1:10:27God bless and goodbye.
