Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Hello, everybody, and welcome to another episode of Lynch and
- 0:02Speaker 2: Tacos Off the Air podcast. We do it once a week,
- 0:06Speaker 2: usually on Thursdays. If you're joining us live, welcome. Glad
- 0:10Speaker 2: you're here. If you're listening or watching after the fact,
- 0:13Speaker 2: thanks for checking it out.
- 0:14Speaker 3: It's funny. On a side note, I was just scratching
- 0:16Speaker 3: my hand after I got done with filling out that
- 0:19Speaker 3: winter sheet and scratching the palm of my hand. I thought, oh,
- 0:22Speaker 3: money and his payday. Just the irony there. You know
- 0:25Speaker 3: how if the inside of your hand, if the palm
- 0:27Speaker 3: of your hand itches, it's supposed to mean you're getting money.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Where does that come from? So whatever makes you itch. No,
- 0:35Speaker 3: I have no idea. That thought, I don't know.
- 0:37Speaker 2: You're the only person I ever heard that says that. Really?
- 0:39Speaker 2: I'm just curious if you knew where the origins of
- 0:43Speaker 2: that come from because there has to be something. I'm
- 0:47Speaker 2: not questioning. I just had never heard that until you talked.
- 0:49Speaker 3: About it sometimes. No, I'm looking right now.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Itching.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I'm the master of Google. Itchy palms are most commonly
- 0:58Speaker 3: caused by dry skin, allergic contact. No shit.
- 1:05Speaker 2: So easy to lead him down this road.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Origin of palm of hand itching and money. And now
- 1:13Speaker 3: what's going to say, well, money can make your hand itch. Okay. It.
- 1:19Speaker 3: An itchy palm is an ancient folk superstition that means
- 1:23Speaker 3: you are about to gain or, oh, I don't want
- 1:26Speaker 3: to hear lose money.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I do that on a daily basis. So it just
- 1:30Speaker 2: has to do with money.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a tracing back to the pre-Christian Celtic and
- 1:36Speaker 3: Saxon beliefs. Uh-huh. So there you go. We all learned
- 1:42Speaker 3: something today. Unless you already knew it. Well, then, whatever.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And if you don't buy into that, just moisturize better.
- 1:51Speaker 3: If you don't buy into that, just save the money
- 1:53Speaker 3: you come across for something else.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:57Speaker 3: So what's up, dude?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh, I wanted to bring this up because it was
- 2:02Speaker 2: one of these deals where you kind of get caught
- 2:04Speaker 2: off guard and you don't have any context on an issue.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I go to bed fairly early. And when I wake
- 2:13Speaker 2: up very early to get ready to come in here,
- 2:17Speaker 2: The first thing I do is check to see if
- 2:19Speaker 2: I have any urgent messages.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I do the same.
- 2:23Speaker 2: From family members.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Family members or from our sports guy calling in or whatever. Whatever.
- 2:30Speaker 2: That's what I do.
- 2:30Speaker 1: And I open it up.
- 2:31Speaker 2: There was a couple the other morning, one of which
- 2:35Speaker 2: was from my daughter who lives out of state.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And all it is is a photograph. It's a photograph
- 2:41Speaker 2: of her and her car. Flanked by... Two German shepherds.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Her and the dogs.
- 2:49Speaker 2: They're not her dogs.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It was two German shepherds. And I was– there's no
- 2:57Speaker 2: context for this whatsoever.
- 2:59Speaker 3: So I– So it's currently about 2 in the morning,
- 3:02Speaker 3: 1.30 or 2 in the morning, and he sees this.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So you're probably thinking, did my daughter get new dogs?
- 3:07Speaker 2: She already has two dogs.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 3:09Speaker 2: They're great dogs.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And they just moved to– her and her boyfriend just
- 3:13Speaker 2: moved to a new place. And they permit pets, but
- 3:18Speaker 2: they're not going to permit four dogs. So I'm just
- 3:21Speaker 2: going through my head. I'm like, what is going on here?
- 3:24Speaker 2: So I shot her a quick message back once it
- 3:27Speaker 2: got closer to daybreak. I'm like, what is happening here?
- 3:30Speaker 2: This is all I have. And she explained to me
- 3:33Speaker 2: what had happened. She had been talking to my wife
- 3:36Speaker 2: with a separate string of texts.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 2: And it was about what had to do with these
- 3:42Speaker 2: two dogs, these two beautiful German shepherds.
- 3:44Speaker 3: They were good-looking dogs.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Awesome-looking dogs. It turns out they were a brother and
- 3:48Speaker 2: a sister. And my daughter, she was driving home from work.
- 3:54Speaker 2: And somebody threw these two dogs out of a vehicle.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Did they do it right in front of her so
- 4:00Speaker 3: she saw it? Or was it just that she came
- 4:03Speaker 3: up and they were just kind of running around?
- 4:05Speaker 2: She saw them running around. And she stopped and the
- 4:10Speaker 2: dogs had run over to somebody who was out just walking.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And the guy who these dogs ran over to told
- 4:17Speaker 2: her his car just pulled up a minute ago and
- 4:19Speaker 2: chucked these two dogs out.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Full grown.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Beautiful German Shepherds. Not dirty or filthy or anything. Looked
- 4:27Speaker 2: like they had, you know.
- 4:28Speaker 3: They looked like great dogs. Relatively good shape. And when
- 4:31Speaker 3: Pat says full grown, they're not even that big. They're
- 4:33Speaker 3: just a. like a middle-aged German shepherd almost.
- 4:37Speaker 2: So my question was, what happened here? How did you
- 4:44Speaker 2: get involved with this? The guy who was just on
- 4:46Speaker 2: the street was like, I don't know what to do here.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So my daughter, she's like, I'll handle this. And she
- 4:51Speaker 2: let the dogs in her vehicle. And that's where the
- 4:55Speaker 2: picture came from. She's an animal lover like me, loves
- 4:59Speaker 2: pets and hates seeing stuff like this. So she knows
- 5:03Speaker 2: about a no-kill shelter where these dogs would be able
- 5:08Speaker 2: to go and hopefully get placed. So she drove them
- 5:12Speaker 2: over there on her own.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Which is a great option compared to if somebody– if
- 5:17Speaker 3: that gentleman who was standing on the side of the
- 5:19Speaker 3: road just said, I'll just call the pound. Right, which–
- 5:22Speaker 3: And then you're rolling the dice if it's– That was
- 5:24Speaker 3: good thinking.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It just really pissed me off because not only is
- 5:29Speaker 2: that just a completely inhumane thing to do.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Even if somebody doesn't like pets, they would think that's
- 5:35Speaker 3: a dick move. Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 2: And I couldn't imagine the mindset of somebody doing that. Oh, well,
- 5:41Speaker 2: maybe they're down on their luck, Lynch, and couldn't afford it. Well,
- 5:44Speaker 2: guess what? Probably if you can't afford to have a pet,
- 5:48Speaker 2: don't have a pet. Take care of you and your
- 5:50Speaker 2: family first.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Think of that before you get the pet.
- 5:54Speaker 2: And you see this way too much, and it just–
- 5:57Speaker 2: this is why we're partial to shelter dogs in our house,
- 6:00Speaker 2: and we've passed it along to our daughter.
- 6:03Speaker 3: That's what we did with our cats.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I just– something like this just burns me up. But anyway,
- 6:09Speaker 2: it was out of context because she had been going
- 6:11Speaker 2: back and forth with my wife. And my wife was
- 6:14Speaker 2: fully up to speed on this and was going to
- 6:15Speaker 2: fill me in. Yeah. She accidentally sent me one of
- 6:19Speaker 2: the pictures in a separate text that she had meant
- 6:21Speaker 2: to send to my wife.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Got it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: So imagine I'm sitting there with no context for this
- 6:26Speaker 2: whatsoever going, what happened to the other two dogs and
- 6:29Speaker 2: who are these two and why are they in your car?
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:31Speaker 2: So that explains that. That was a nice little disconcerting
- 6:37Speaker 2: surprise to wake up to the other morning.
- 6:39Speaker 3: So he had that picture sent to him, a picture
- 6:42Speaker 3: that a lot of us, us, you listening, Pat, you, myself,
- 6:47Speaker 3: are going to start seeing surface. Pictures of people with
- 6:51Speaker 3: big-ass red snappers. You're going to see it on everybody's Facebook,
- 6:55Speaker 3: their Instagram.
- 6:56Speaker 2: But they give a 19-day long season.
- 6:58Speaker 3: It's open. I already saw pictures being sent to me.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Huge reds.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Doesn't that just burn you up? If you fish, you
- 7:07Speaker 2: already know what we're about to say. You know, when
- 7:09Speaker 2: they put these restrictions in place on red snapper on
- 7:12Speaker 2: the Atlantic side, how many years has it been now?
- 7:15Speaker 1: I don't.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And if you go out on a regular basis fishing,
- 7:19Speaker 2: you know damn well you're pulling red snapper after red
- 7:22Speaker 2: snapper after red snapper and you have to put them
- 7:24Speaker 2: all back.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And you keep hearing, their populations are critically in danger.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I showed Pat the picture. He goes, yeah, they're
- 7:35Speaker 3: that damn big because we have to keep throwing them back.
- 7:39Speaker 3: They just keep sitting down there eating.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Having a little fish buffet.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you've been out and you've been getting
- 7:45Speaker 2: your daily limits, enjoy.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Enjoy.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Too bad. That wasn't happening when we had the offshore fiasco.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That would have been badass.
- 7:53Speaker 3: But they would have never done that because they do
- 7:55Speaker 3: snapper trips at that time.
- 7:56Speaker 2: It's a high commodity. There were quite a few snappers
- 8:00Speaker 2: pulled up. You know what I'm saying?
- 8:01Speaker 3: No, I know. High demand. They run just snapper trips
- 8:04Speaker 3: during that time, and they kill it too. Yeah. That's
- 8:09Speaker 3: when you hope that your really close friend, and when
- 8:12Speaker 3: I say close, meaning lives close by as well, slays
- 8:17Speaker 3: a few of those because– You're getting some meat out
- 8:21Speaker 3: of it.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:22Speaker 3: See, the guy that sent me these pictures is Jeffy
- 8:25Speaker 3: in Smyrna.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 3: So I know that Billy's going to be going. And
- 8:29Speaker 3: hopefully young Robbie.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Red Snapper is so tasty.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 8:34Speaker 3: So tasty. So good.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 3: So I saw those pictures coming through.
- 8:39Speaker 1: What was I going to say?
- 8:40Speaker 2: You've got Biketoberfest starting today. Lots of motorcycle enthusiasts arriving
- 8:47Speaker 2: in Central Florida to go along with the locals who
- 8:50Speaker 2: ride on a regular basis.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Welcome. So remember, everybody, look twice. I know you see
- 8:55Speaker 3: it on bumper stickers, you hear it, but it's real
- 8:58Speaker 3: because we don't want any senseless tragedies with Biketoberfest.
- 9:03Speaker 2: I hope that weather coming through this weekend doesn't screw
- 9:06Speaker 2: things up too much.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I know.
- 9:07Speaker 2: They're still kind of wavering on what the timeline's going
- 9:10Speaker 2: to be on this front that's coming through. I guess
- 9:14Speaker 2: the chances of rain start going out today. We're doing
- 9:17Speaker 2: this on a Thursday. I guess there's chances later today,
- 9:20Speaker 2: like normal.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Later today and then tomorrow.
- 9:23Speaker 2: And then Saturday early on, they're saying, is supposed to
- 9:26Speaker 2: be the arrival, whatever's coming through, followed by much cooler
- 9:30Speaker 2: and windy conditions.
- 9:32Speaker 3: A lot of people wait on Biketoberfest until, like, Friday morning.
- 9:36Speaker 3: slash saturday so hopefully hopefully it works out yeah in
- 9:39Speaker 3: their benefit because you hate seeing something like that that
- 9:43Speaker 3: people plan all just like surf fest last weekend that's
- 9:47Speaker 3: such a big event huge yeah to plan and then
- 9:51Speaker 3: rain cancels one of the nights where you've pulled permits
- 9:55Speaker 3: and you know hey how.
- 9:56Speaker 2: About the other big story one of the other big
- 9:59Speaker 2: stories this week the roller coaster death at Six Flags
- 10:02Speaker 2: in Georgia yeah dude man.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Do you think that.
- 10:07Speaker 3: People that got hit by the guy are gonna sue
- 10:09Speaker 3: too if you get hit by a body a you're
- 10:13Speaker 3: freaked out be you get.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Hurt I don't know what the ultimate investigation is going
- 10:22Speaker 2: to show occurred that allowed that rider to be launched
- 10:26Speaker 2: and subsequently fall to his death, as you indicated, bouncing
- 10:31Speaker 2: off of several other riders and then on the way.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I would say right now that company, they're out of Sweden,
- 10:39Speaker 2: I think, that has designed that roller coaster, a big
- 10:42Speaker 2: company that makes those, and they've made a bunch of
- 10:44Speaker 2: them around the country.
- 10:45Speaker 3: And they're like, 50 or something, 56 or something. There's
- 10:48Speaker 3: a certain amount around here that they're shutting all of
- 10:51Speaker 3: them down until they figure it out.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I know it had been like at six or eight
- 10:55Speaker 2: that various theme parks and amusement parks aired on the
- 10:59Speaker 2: side of Conchita. We're going to hold off on these
- 11:01Speaker 2: things for a little while.
- 11:03Speaker 3: That's when you've gone on that in the past and
- 11:07Speaker 3: you go, oh man, I dodged one.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I don't ride roller coasters really that much anymore because
- 11:13Speaker 2: of my blood pressure. I don't want to And I do,
- 11:18Speaker 2: I take those warnings to heart.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah. Literally. Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 2: But I love roller coasters, man. I used to ride
- 11:26Speaker 2: them all the time and I really had no fear
- 11:29Speaker 2: for the most part of any roller coaster. But, man,
- 11:33Speaker 2: you see this stuff, like the thing going back to
- 11:36Speaker 2: the big guy who fell off the drop ride there.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Well, that was just a screw up all.
- 11:42Speaker 3: The way around. My sister was big into roller coasters. And,
- 11:46Speaker 3: you know, that was like her high after she quit partying.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 3: And then, but I, it's like everything in my life.
- 11:56Speaker 3: It just kind of, you know, I do them, I
- 11:58Speaker 3: go on them. It's not like, oh, my God, I've
- 12:01Speaker 3: got to go on a roller coaster. I've got to
- 12:02Speaker 3: do this. I mean, we've done the openings of several
- 12:05Speaker 3: roller coasters around the area. And, yeah, I'm not afraid
- 12:09Speaker 3: of roller coasters, even though I'm afraid of heights. But
- 12:12Speaker 3: it's just, you know, whatever.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I just, I got to think it sucks if you
- 12:16Speaker 2: are a huge roller coaster enthusiast and, you know, you
- 12:19Speaker 2: see stories like this. And you know how you touched
- 12:23Speaker 2: on it a minute ago, how sue happy this world
- 12:26Speaker 2: is now. You can just see, you know, what is,
- 12:29Speaker 2: you know, a great form and for the most part,
- 12:31Speaker 2: very safe form of entertainment and recreation and just, you know,
- 12:36Speaker 2: decompressing for a lot of people all of a sudden
- 12:38Speaker 2: coming under scrutiny. When you look at the big picture
- 12:42Speaker 2: as to how many people ride roller coasters every single
- 12:44Speaker 2: day around the world with no incidents whatsoever, and you
- 12:47Speaker 2: get a high profile situation like this.
- 12:50Speaker 3: And I see the, you know, the, local news channels
- 12:55Speaker 3: outside of places around here. I'm like, oh, come on, man.
- 13:00Speaker 3: That is our blood.
- 13:02Speaker 2: This is our economic, you know, motor here, especially in
- 13:06Speaker 2: Central Florida. Yes. But, you know, that said, though, I
- 13:10Speaker 2: don't think someone who's a hardcore roller coaster enthusiast is
- 13:14Speaker 2: going to be swayed or, you know.
- 13:16Speaker 3: They know how to strap themselves in, unlike that big kid.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I mean– Hey, we won't even get into that.
- 13:22Speaker 1: That was a mess. Yeah, it was.
- 13:23Speaker 3: That whole thing was a mess. Absolute mess. You're just
- 13:26Speaker 3: punning out today.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Well, it was just a cluster.
- 13:31Speaker 3: It definitely was. I have to fess up to something.
- 13:35Speaker 3: And I told you about it.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Oh, you're going to talk about what you said you
- 13:39Speaker 2: weren't going to talk? Please do.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 13:41Speaker 2: And I'll keep it shorter. No, go ahead. We have
- 13:44Speaker 2: the time here. We can wrap up with this story
- 13:47Speaker 2: because this is... Afterwards, I realized what a dick move
- 13:51Speaker 2: it was. But while it was happening, I was like,
- 13:55Speaker 2: the more beers I get, this.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Makes total sense. So, stayed... At a hotel recently. We'll
- 14:02Speaker 3: leave it at that. And very recently... Stopped, was waiting
- 14:06Speaker 3: for my room, and it was taking a while. And
- 14:11Speaker 3: one Paramore Brown got his room, so I waited and
- 14:16Speaker 3: went to the front desk. I said, hey, I'm just
- 14:17Speaker 3: going to go back to his room. Will you guys
- 14:19Speaker 3: call me when my room's open? Because I'd been up since,
- 14:23Speaker 3: you know, four in the morning. I was pretty tired, so...
- 14:27Speaker 3: Time's creeping on, time's creeping on. Paramore went and did
- 14:30Speaker 3: some work. I fell asleep on his couch. But when
- 14:32Speaker 3: we were walking up there, we put all this stuff
- 14:35Speaker 3: on the luggage cart. So then Paramore left. I woke
- 14:39Speaker 3: up at like 4.15 and called and go, hey, somebody
- 14:43Speaker 3: was supposed to call me when my room was ready.
- 14:45Speaker 3: They said, I'll definitely get a call by 4. And
- 14:48Speaker 3: the person said, oh, those two front desk people went home.
- 14:52Speaker 1: We didn't know, so.
- 14:54Speaker 2: They didn't pass the message.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yeah, go, oh, well, we'll.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Definitely get right on that. So I looked her over,
- 15:00Speaker 3: and I go, you know what? I got a plan.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Paramore and I put all of our stuff on the
- 15:04Speaker 3: luggage dolly, whatever you'd call it, luggage cart, and brought
- 15:11Speaker 3: that in the room because I was just leaving my
- 15:13Speaker 3: stuff on it. Well, now it sat in Paramore's room
- 15:15Speaker 3: for three, you know, two and a half hours at least.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Three hours, we'll say. So I'm thinking... It's already been
- 15:21Speaker 3: in here three hours. Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Please point out, as you continue with the story, which
- 15:27Speaker 2: you pointed out to me, the grand total of luggage
- 15:30Speaker 2: carts that the hotel in question had.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Two.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Two.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Bob is using one of them.
- 15:37Speaker 3: So.
- 15:38Speaker 2: For multiple hours.
- 15:39Speaker 3: So, well, on this stuff, son, why am I going
- 15:42Speaker 3: to bring the cart back down and then go back
- 15:46Speaker 3: down to get it again? So I, you know, woke up,
- 15:49Speaker 3: my neck hurt from sleeping on a couch. I Had
- 15:51Speaker 3: a few beers already, so I.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Was just like, oh, man, now my neck hurts.
- 15:54Speaker 3: And I was, you know, not grumpy because I try
- 15:57Speaker 3: not to get grumpy. I was just like, this sucks.
- 16:00Speaker 3: And took the luggage cart to my room, unloaded it,
- 16:06Speaker 3: and called Buddy, put the luggage cart in the corner,
- 16:09Speaker 3: and said, you know what? I'm just going to keep
- 16:12Speaker 3: this thing until I check out in two days.
- 16:15Speaker 2: The hotel has a grand total of two luggage carts.
- 16:19Speaker 2: He keeps one in his room for the whole weekend.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I know.
- 16:22Speaker 2: It goes missing in action. Then he tells– this is
- 16:25Speaker 2: the other– this is.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Where– Deviant, wasn't it?
- 16:28Speaker 2: The maid service comes around. He goes, oh, no, I
- 16:32Speaker 2: don't need anything. They're like, okay, thank you. Okay, sir,
- 16:37Speaker 2: thank you.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It was– It was deviant because I said, I don't
- 16:41Speaker 3: need anything knowing what.
- 16:43Speaker 2: They would see the luggage cart and call someone to
- 16:45Speaker 2: come retrieve it. Because it's only one of two they have.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Went in to rinse my face off. No, get in
- 16:54Speaker 2: the shower because I was going to meet a buddy,
- 16:55Speaker 2: and I had been sleeping on a couch.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I didn't even shower. I just brushed my teeth. And
- 16:59Speaker 3: I cracked a beer.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'm sitting, and I go, oh, wait, hold on.
- 17:02Speaker 3: I'm going to need towels even though she's not cleaning.
- 17:05Speaker 3: So then I poked my head back out and said, yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 3: I don't need it cleaned, but can I have some towels?
- 17:10Speaker 3: So now I have extra towels and my luggage cart.
- 17:13Speaker 3: And I started this out by saying, I need to
- 17:16Speaker 3: admit it like you did.
- 17:17Speaker 1: You admitted something the other day.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I admit that was a total dick move. And as
- 17:21Speaker 3: soon as I got off the elevator with my luggage
- 17:24Speaker 3: cart that I'd had from Friday at 1.30 until Sunday
- 17:28Speaker 3: at 10.30 a.m., as soon as I got off the
- 17:32Speaker 3: luggage cart, I see people carrying bags.
- 17:37Speaker 2: That they probably were like, God, this hotel doesn't have
- 17:39Speaker 2: luggage carts? What the hell, man?
- 17:42Speaker 3: But then I didn't feel as bad because as I
- 17:45Speaker 3: walked a little further towards the door and out in
- 17:49Speaker 3: the parking lot with my luggage cart... Pat thought I
- 17:51Speaker 3: took the thing home.
- 17:53Speaker 2: The way you first described it to me, I'm like,
- 17:55Speaker 2: how did you– did you put that in your truck
- 17:58Speaker 2: and take it with you?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I knew I was at home.
- 18:01Speaker 2: He wheels the garbage cans down on it now.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Where did you get that? Deluxe.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Deluxe garbage can, yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 3: So I wheeled stuff out. They're all my stuff in
- 18:12Speaker 3: my truck. Bring it back. But I did notice there
- 18:15Speaker 3: was a cart sitting there. So the people that walked
- 18:17Speaker 3: up to the hotel with their bags on their shoulders–
- 18:19Speaker 3: They had access to that cart unless it had just
- 18:22Speaker 3: got walked up in between that period. But they did
- 18:25Speaker 3: give me a little look when I came out. I
- 18:27Speaker 3: was like, oh, good morning. The asshole that's been up
- 18:30Speaker 3: here with the luggage cart.
- 18:31Speaker 1: There it is.
- 18:33Speaker 2: There it is.
- 18:34Speaker 1: People up front didn't say anything.
- 18:36Speaker 3: They didn't notice.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it was probably the ones who went home the
- 18:38Speaker 2: day before and don't remember much of anything.
- 18:40Speaker 3: No, they went home a couple days before, and it
- 18:43Speaker 3: was one of them. And I almost said, hey, you
- 18:46Speaker 3: never called me about my room, but it was a
- 18:48Speaker 3: great hotel. Awesome.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Dude, those luggage carts, man, that's one of those things
- 18:55Speaker 2: that they're great. They're awesome.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 18:57Speaker 2: And I'm all about doing it myself. When you get
- 19:01Speaker 2: to one of these hotels where they're trying to nickel
- 19:03Speaker 2: and dime you for tips on everything, that's one of
- 19:07Speaker 2: the ones that really burns.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Me up is the luggage cart.
- 19:10Speaker 2: No, I don't need any help. No, I don't need
- 19:15Speaker 2: you to put the stuff on the cart for me
- 19:17Speaker 2: and open the door and take it up to my
- 19:19Speaker 2: room and take it off. Just give me the cart.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I'll take it up, and I'll bring it back to
- 19:25Speaker 2: you in five minutes.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I've done that several times, and I can think of
- 19:30Speaker 3: a hotel right off top. Sorry, keep looking up because
- 19:32Speaker 3: the newscaster has on a good shirt for us today. Look. Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 3: So I've done your angle where I just bring it
- 19:41Speaker 3: up myself. But usually at this one golf tournament I
- 19:46Speaker 3: go to, I give in. and just because i've got
- 19:48Speaker 3: golf clubs i've got bags i've got coolers like two
- 19:52Speaker 3: cool two coolers a golf bag and then my bag
- 19:56Speaker 3: and then the other one the other one and and
- 19:58Speaker 3: hanging shirts because there's events at night that i have
- 20:01Speaker 3: to wear a nice shirt so i'm just like I'll
- 20:03Speaker 3: throw the guy the 10 or whatever.
- 20:05Speaker 2: The other one that's the pet peeve is those same
- 20:07Speaker 2: dudes who want to load your luggage and take it
- 20:09Speaker 2: up and then have their hand out. They also want
- 20:11Speaker 2: to park your car, valet your car down in the
- 20:14Speaker 2: garage that they're charging you $ 30 a night to park it.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:19Speaker 2: No, no, no. I'm so over this whole tipping culture thing, dude.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I'm not a cheap person.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I buy quality stuff. I appreciate quality stuff.
- 20:33Speaker 3: He takes care of people for good service.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I absolutely do. But when it comes to this, this
- 20:38Speaker 2: tipping culture thing is so freaking out of control.
- 20:41Speaker 3: And I know everybody thinks it with, you know, I
- 20:45Speaker 3: totally agree with like when you go to a friggin'
- 20:49Speaker 3: drugstore and they're asking for a tip on the.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I'm picking up a prescription! What?
- 20:55Speaker 3: I'm already paying way too much for the drug company
- 20:58Speaker 3: so some damn prescription rep can take the doctor out
- 21:02Speaker 3: on a fishing trip.
- 21:03Speaker 2: It did take your pharmacist a full 30 seconds to
- 21:07Speaker 2: count those pills out there and put them in the... Oh,
- 21:11Speaker 2: go away.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. I'd like to say it too. Good lord.
- 21:16Speaker 3: That was a good spot on the newscaster, was it not?
- 21:19Speaker 3: That's one of the lower-cut shirts we've seen her in.
- 21:22Speaker 3: We have a little thing in here.
- 21:24Speaker 2: What we are is we're fashion critics. As you can tell,
- 21:27Speaker 2: we're fashion plates. So it's only right that we critique
- 21:33Speaker 2: how others dress.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I'm not critiquing.
- 21:36Speaker 2: This is as shallow as it gets.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Yes, look at us. Pat's in an ACDC power-up shirt
- 21:43Speaker 3: from the tour wearing I'm wearing a WJ or our shirt.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Cause it's free. And, but I'm pointing out the, the
- 21:50Speaker 3: newscaster has huge tits. So whenever she's out, all right.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Oh my God. Look, Joe.
- 21:57Speaker 2: No, we're not going to say who we're not going
- 21:59Speaker 2: to say what channel, but just know we do monitor
- 22:03Speaker 2: these things.
- 22:03Speaker 3: It's not for the fashion of what they look like.
- 22:06Speaker 2: It's for tits show research.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yes. So observations just had to fess up on that. And, and, uh,
- 22:13Speaker 3: Crazy Lou, if you're listening, I didn't say those words.
- 22:16Speaker 2: She listens every week. I was going to mention that
- 22:18Speaker 2: to you. Crazy Lou is my mom.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I said Crazy Lou tips.
- 22:24Speaker 2: I blow a call into her usually every Saturday. She
- 22:30Speaker 2: lives out of town by herself. I just like to
- 22:33Speaker 2: check on her, see how she's doing.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Of course, all her parents are getting older.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Of course, she mentions, oh, I was listening to your podcast.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I'm like, Then I try to go through my mind
- 22:43Speaker 2: as to what we talked about in the podcast. And
- 22:45Speaker 2: half the time, I don't remember until she brings it up.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Because we don't start this thing with any kind of, oh, well,
- 22:53Speaker 2: here's what we're going to talk about. This, this, and this. No,
- 22:56Speaker 2: this just goes however it goes every week.
- 22:59Speaker 3: And we do the same thing with our show pretty much, too.
- 23:03Speaker 3: So when people ask me to make conversation, cool people
- 23:07Speaker 3: that I get along with at the gym and stuff,
- 23:08Speaker 3: but they're like, oh, what'd you talk about in the
- 23:10Speaker 3: program today? I go, I have no idea. No idea.
- 23:14Speaker 2: It's available on the podcast, though, all the segments. If
- 23:16Speaker 2: you want to check it out, then you can report
- 23:18Speaker 2: back to me. And now we did.
- 23:19Speaker 3: I forget.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 23:21Speaker 2: No, it is. We just kind of winded up and
- 23:24Speaker 2: go every morning.
- 23:25Speaker 3: But with your mom listening.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Same with the podcast.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Like you're saying, I don't think about certain things. And
- 23:30Speaker 3: then my aunt, will say, oh, I was listening to
- 23:34Speaker 3: this show.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I go, you were listening to this show?
- 23:37Speaker 3: And then I'm rewinding my head, like you said, trying
- 23:39Speaker 3: to think of what we talked about. And I'm like, oh,
- 23:42Speaker 3: my gosh. She goes, yeah, I listen every morning to
- 23:44Speaker 3: the whole show. And I'm like, oh, no, the things
- 23:47Speaker 3: I've said.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Anyway, that said, thank you for checking out our podcast.
- 23:52Speaker 2: We do appreciate that, you know, there's interest in this.
- 23:56Speaker 3: From some of you.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:57Speaker 2: And our moms.
- 24:00Speaker 3: No, don't say that. I don't want my mom listening.
- 24:02Speaker 2: All right. We're going to get the hell out of here.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Get ready for a weekend that's coming up. Be here
- 24:09Speaker 2: before you know it. If you want to connect, where
- 24:11Speaker 2: are we going to be on Saturday for football?
- 24:13Speaker 3: We're going to be at, whatchamacallit? Tuffy's. Yeah, Tuffy's. You
- 24:17Speaker 3: put me on the spot there. We're going to be
- 24:19Speaker 3: at Tuffy's Garage right there. Tuffy's Music Box. I know,
- 24:23Speaker 3: Music Box Garage. That's the one where they just redid
- 24:26Speaker 3: that outside.
- 24:27Speaker 2: The outdoor pavilion. It's really cool. If you haven't been
- 24:30Speaker 2: to Tuffy's in a while, that's a cool setup, especially
- 24:33Speaker 2: as we get into the time of year where it's
- 24:35Speaker 2: going to be nicer out.
- 24:36Speaker 3: It's beautiful back there.
- 24:38Speaker 2: So a lot of space there. I can imagine they're
- 24:40Speaker 2: going to be doing a lot of stuff out there
- 24:41Speaker 2: in the coming months. They had to play the old,
- 24:45Speaker 2: you know, inspector game with the city for a while
- 24:49Speaker 2: to get that thing finally completed.
- 24:50Speaker 3: But it's good. It is.
- 24:51Speaker 2: It's awesome. So looking forward. We'll be there at noon
- 24:54Speaker 2: on Saturday in Sanford. We'll have the Florida and Texas
- 24:59Speaker 2: game on, also the Ohio State and Indiana game.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Which is one you're really looking forward to.
- 25:03Speaker 2: I think Ohio State, as much as it pains me
- 25:06Speaker 2: to say, is going to kill Indiana. I hope I'm wrong.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I think it's going to be a close game.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I hope.
- 25:10Speaker 2: It is in Indiana.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the reason. That's the only reason.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Ohio State is favored.
- 25:16Speaker 1: They're good.
- 25:17Speaker 3: They're a damn good team. They're stacked all the way across.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I know they have a loss, but, um, I think
- 25:22Speaker 2: most of the teams that end up in the playoff
- 25:24Speaker 2: at one point.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Have a loss.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Are, are going to, if they don't, they will probably
- 25:28Speaker 2: by the end of the season. And that's, that's actually
- 25:30Speaker 2: a good thing, I think, because before, you know, there
- 25:34Speaker 2: were times where if you, you got dinged with a
- 25:36Speaker 2: loss and sometimes when you had two.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Oh, that's it.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Season's over. Not so much anymore.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I mean, they do it with strength of schedule, which
- 25:42Speaker 3: is totally understandable. Um, I mentioned to you earlier. So, yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 3: we're going to be at Tuffy's Music Box Saturday starting
- 25:50Speaker 3: at noon. With Shock Top. Yes, and we're going to
- 25:52Speaker 3: have UCF tickets to give away. We're going to have
- 25:54Speaker 3: good stuff to give away and Shock Top samples.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Some concert tickets.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and specials. I mentioned to you earlier, and we're
- 26:01Speaker 3: getting ready to split, why does this week seem so long?
- 26:06Speaker 3: I know tomorrow's Friday, and that is just beautiful, but
- 26:09Speaker 3: I don't know what it is.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I don't know, too. I'll just take the win that
- 26:13Speaker 2: tomorrow's Friday.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Yep. You and me most. Sound good. As soon as
- 26:17Speaker 3: I mentioned it to Pat and somebody else, they both said, yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 3: it has been a long week.
- 26:22Speaker 2: But it's going to be an awesome weekend. As slow
- 26:25Speaker 2: as the week went, we hope the weekend goes slow, too,
- 26:28Speaker 2: so we can enjoy it.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Definitely. That work?
- 26:31Speaker 3: I like it.
- 26:31Speaker 2: All right, take it easy, everybody.
