- 0:04When it comes to the word of God, God is very, very deep.
- 0:13So most people won't even begin to absorb the word of God.
- 0:19But when you get the spirit of God, he shows you things so you can understand the principle of God.
- 0:27See, when we're talking about people, he uses somebody like Adam or Abraham.
- 0:34When we talk about time frames, the 40 years, the 42 years in the wilderness.
- 0:42Places like the Jordan River when they're crossing to go to the promised land.
- 0:47Animals, lions, and oxen.
- 0:51Why, though?
- 0:53Oh, I'm gonna take you to a place that you ain't been in a long, in a long time.
- 0:58We're going deeper into the word of God with some understanding.
- 1:02We talking about a time of separation.
- 1:05What am I talking about?
- 1:08In First Timothy 5:18, it says,"For the scriptures say,'You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing, and the labor is worthy of his wages.'" Now, I've seen them use this for preaching, I'm good with that.
- 1:25Yeah, pay them.
- 1:27But what was this threshing?
- 1:30What is this work that the Lord was using in a metaphor of understanding?
- 1:37Well, here's the problem.
- 1:39Most people in America don't understand farming, so you're gonna have a problem with this.
- 1:47Threshing is when they do separation.
- 1:52They separating the wheat from the chaff.
- 1:56Now, a lot of people don't understand this, but this is how God uses metaphor so we can get an understanding of who he is.
- 2:07See, he said,"I'm gonna separate at the end." What am I separating?
- 2:12The people who say they're believers and the people who really are believers.
- 2:16It, it, I, I mean, it's that simple.
- 2:19The sheep from the goat.
- 2:22But in this metaphor, he's talking about separating at a specific place.
- 2:32When I first started dealing with this understanding, he says there are places in the world that he has designated as a special place Like the Garden of Eden.
- 2:46That's why they keep looking for it.
- 2:48It was a special place.
- 2:50They're not gonna find it because it's spiritual Uh, we, we, we gonna go somewhere now.
- 2:57We gonna go somewhere now.
- 2:58We talking about a time of separation.
- 3:00See, threshing is about separating the chaff from the wheat, from the, the, the chaff from the wheat.
- 3:08But now let's go deeper.
- 3:12You remember the story of David bringing the Ark of God back to Jerusalem, and they got to a specific place.
- 3:20Now, you might not remember the place, but you remember the cart shook.
- 3:27And Uri- Uriah, what he did is he tried to stop it from falling over, and the Lord killed him.
- 3:35David was afraid.
- 3:38Well, first of all, why did the Lord kill Uriah?
- 3:43Because he touched the ark.
- 3:45The commandment was,"Do not touch the Ark of God." Now, I know you're saying to yourself,"Well, how are they supposed to carry it around if you couldn't touch it?" Only the priest.
- 3:59But they couldn't touch the actual Ark of God.
- 4:02They touched the poles, not the symbolic, well, just where, where God sit, the throne of God.
- 4:12They couldn't touch that.
- 4:14So when he did, God can't go back on his word, he had to die.
- 4:18Now, what is this threshing though?
- 4:22Well, Gideon, when the Lord came to him, where did he come to him at?
- 4:27At the threshing floor.
- 4:29What was Gideon doing?
- 4:31He was threshing, separating the chaff from the wheat.
- 4:36Now, here's how powerful this is when you understand that is a spiritual moment, a spiritual place, and a spiritual time.
- 4:50We all, if we're true believers, have to go through that.
- 4:56A moment of threshing where God is testing you For real Now at that moment, it just feel like you're going through.
- 5:12But that moment is a time of, okay, are you gonna accept your calling?
- 5:17Gideon says,"I accept it, but I need you to show me you real." Now, some people don't realize, yeah, he, he tested, he tested God.
- 5:32But because of God's plan, that wasn't a problem.
- 5:35Why?
- 5:36He can fulfill it.
- 5:38And that's the way he's talking about the, the, the, the, the water on it and the dew and all of that.
- 5:43But I ain't going into that because I wanna talk about a time of temptation.
- 5:49See, Isa...
- 5:49Now remember now, First Timothy, Timothy talked about it, 5 verse 18.
- 5:56But watch Isaiah.
- 5:58Isaiah's gonna talk about it also.
- 6:01Um, I'm just telling you, man, this, this, this Word of God is just unbelievable when you start getting some true understanding.
- 6:08In the Book of Isaiah, chapter 28, we're talking about threshing now, a, a time of separation.
- 6:16But watch what Isaiah says in verse 27 and 28.
- 6:21We, we, we, we wanna know what thus says the Lord our God out of his Word.
- 6:28So Isaiah 27, he start talking about for, you know, for the threshing are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turn about upon our churn, but the thr- but the threshes are beaten out with what?
- 6:51Chaff.
- 6:52And the cutting with what?
- 6:53Rods.
- 6:56Bread corn is bruised because he will not ever be threshing, thresh it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
- 7:11And all he's trying to show you is, and I'm, I gon, I'm gonna break this down so you can get a deeper understanding.
- 7:18When you bring the wheat in, you remember like the Book of Ruth, they was bringing the wheat in and they took it to the threshing floor, which is a barn.
- 7:27But what are they doing?
- 7:29They're separating.
- 7:31Now, here's how you can really get a good understanding of it.
- 7:36You don't have to use a ox, but that's how they used to do it in the old days.
- 7:41So you pour all this wheat on this floor, which is a big wheel or a big hard surface, and you literally go around in a circle breaking them up, separating them.
- 7:56Breaking them up by stepping.
- 7:57Ox does the same thing, but a ox is going in a circle and just stepping on the wheat.
- 8:02You keep t- pushing it in and turn it over, and it gets...
- 8:06Now, when you take the fork and you throw it up in the air, it takes away the, what, the things that's no good, the chaff, and the wheat falls to the ground.
- 8:18Watch this now.
- 8:18As you throw it up in the air, the wind takes the chaff and push it away, and the wheat drops back to the floor.
- 8:26He's teaching us the book, he's teaching us the Book of Revelation of how we're gonna be separated, the good from the bad But why is he using such metaphor?
- 8:40'Cause he wants to show us the depth of his word.
- 8:44Most preachers, they ain't even going to study this.
- 8:47Why?
- 8:48It's too spiritual It, th-th-th-- you, you could go on and on from one scripture to the next.
- 8:57Like we go into Proverbs chapter 20, verse 26.
- 9:01We talking the word now.
- 9:04See, this is not a kids game.
- 9:07When you walking in this level here, you're walking at a whole nother level.
- 9:13See, in the Book of Proverbs, women of Proverbs have no scriptures that Jesus must fulfill.
- 9:21None Only the law, the prophet, and...
- 9:31Do you know the third one?
- 9:32Remember he fulfilled the law, this is Moses, the prophet, and there's one more.
- 9:40Ah, I'm gonna hold that one for a second'cause I want you to think about it.
- 9:43See, this is why Jesus came to fulfill it Just hold on one, I'm gonna give that one to you in a second, but I want you to think about it for a while.
- 9:54In Proverbs chapter 20 verse 26, watch what happens now.
- 9:59It say,"He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not." Now, don't, don't, don't get me now though, but listen, this is where most religious people got a problem and they don't understand it It, it's talking about the righteous giveth and spares not.
- 10:23Now, I'm gonna be real with you.
- 10:25This is a hard lesson to learn.
- 10:29Most people with common sense, I'm talking common sense, says,"Okay, I'm gonna use$100.
- 10:36I got$100, and that's all I got.
- 10:40So what do I have to do?
- 10:42I have to close my hand and hold on to my$100'cause that's all I have." But watch what the word says.
- 10:52The righteous,$1,000.
- 10:56We, we, we talking the same$1,000.
- 10:58He says,"Uh-oh, this person here need it.
- 11:01I'm gonna give this one here 20." Remember, he only got a hundred now, so now he got 80.
- 11:06He goes,"Okay, I gotta do this.
- 11:09I hope it just gonna let it go." So now he got 60.
- 11:12He done spent$40 already because he understands who he is.
- 11:18He understands God will provide.
- 11:20And then he goes on,"Well, I need, need, well, gotta spend another$20." Now he only got$40.
- 11:27Why?
- 11:28'Cause he's righteous and he understands their need is more important than my greed.
- 11:33I'm gonna say that again.
- 11:34Their need is more important than my greed.
- 11:37We're talking about a time of separation.
- 11:40Why did God do this?
- 11:41Well, let me finish the story.
- 11:43So if somebody comes by, they need that last$40, that righteous man doesn't worry about tomorrow.
- 11:50Why?
- 11:50'Cause God will provide.
- 11:51So he gives the$40 and he has none.
- 11:55Now, watch this now.
- 11:57Watch this, because we talking understanding.
- 12:01If the Lord is your God and he's gonna cover you while you was worried- Ooh, that's the part that people miss.
- 12:20So when you start getting an understanding of what that word just said, it says the righteous giveth and fail not.
- 12:23He's not worrying about tomorrow.
- 12:27I promise you, God is gonna provide.
- 12:31Now, that's if he's righteous.
- 12:35You can't do this without being righteous because it's never gonna work.
- 12:42You're just gonna be broke.
- 12:45Okay, let me, let me put it another way.
- 12:47Let me put it another way so you really can get it now.
- 12:48I want you to get it now,'cause see, this is when it makes sense.
- 12:55I give my word, and I, I'm, I'm gonna lock it in so you can really get ahold of this now.
- 13:00I give my word, whether I'm weighing something, I'm buy-- whatever it is, but I gave my word because I am righteous, not according to man.
- 13:14I'm righteous according to God.
- 13:15He gave me his Spirit, so now I am now walking in the image of God.
- 13:24Because I gave my word, I must keep it.
- 13:28Now, I know you're saying to yourself, even if it costs you$5,$5,000, fi- what, what...
- 13:36It doesn't matter, you gave your word, so you must follow through.
- 13:40Now, you can say,"Well, you know what?
- 13:41Hey, hold up.
- 13:42You know what I'm not gonna do?
- 13:43I'm just not gonna, I'm not gonna follow what I said I'm gonna do.
- 13:46I'm not gonna do right." You honestly think the lawyer can pay you back?
- 13:54All day, every day, you gonna pay for that.
- 13:58But I'm gonna go on because I want talking about the threshing floor.
- 14:01We talking about a time of separation.
- 14:03All these little things I'm telling you now is where most of the religious people got a problem, because it's always about fair.
- 14:13Well, first of all, when it comes to God, there's no such thing as fair.
- 14:16He said,"If your enemy do you wrong and he comes and ask, give him." What?
- 14:22He's my enemy.
- 14:23Yeah, but he's not your enemy, you're his enemy.
- 14:27You're her enemy.
- 14:29That don't make them your enemy.
- 14:32Let me go ahead, let me go and get this.
- 14:33I want,'cause I want you to get this now.
- 14:36I want you to get it now.
- 14:38But watch this, because we, we coming with an understanding of the word of God.
- 14:47So, uh, what I just covered was, um, Proverbs 21, which was actually a good one, but that's not what I wanted.
- 14:54I wanted Proverbs 20, my fault, 26, which, man, that's even better, that verse is.
- 15:01It says,"A wise king," what?
- 15:04"Scattereth the wicked and bringeth the wheel over them." The wise king, he scattereth the wicked and bringeth the wheel.
- 15:12He said that's punishment.
- 15:15But man, look, I just watched how the Holy Spirit did that and how He brought that one in, and that wasn't even part of what I'm gonna tell, but it worked perfectly in the scripture.
- 15:25Now, now watch this,'cause now I'm about to shift real quick.
- 15:29I'm, I'm about to shift so you can get a deeper understanding.
- 15:33When you're dealing with the Book of Ruth, the whole Book of Ruth is about the threshing floor.
- 15:39So you sitting there saying,"Whoa, now, whoa." The whole Book of Ruth is about the threshing floor.
- 15:46Now, I know you're saying,"Man, this is about Ruth and Naomi, and how this Naomi husband dies, and how Ruth husband dies, a- a- and, and the other brother die." Yeah, I got all of that, but the whole story's about the threshing.
- 16:03Now, I know what you're saying,"Whoa." Okay, watch this now.
- 16:07Let me break the story down in another way so you really can see the threshing of the story.
- 16:15T- they are from Bethlehem, which is the place of bread, it's a place of blessing.
- 16:20They leave the place of blessing because it didn't look right then.
- 16:25They, everything wasn't prospering then, so they moved then and now that they moved, they go to some place else that they thought was being blessed, and yes, it probably was, but then they lost everything.
- 16:37Why?
- 16:38You might have gone to a place of blessing, but you wasn't blessed no more because you left that place.
- 16:45We talking about the threshing.
- 16:47So now that they went there, that's why Naomi said,"Call me Mara." I'm miserable.
- 16:53I'm m- I, I'm nasty and I'm mean now, but guess what?
- 16:57When I left, I was blessed.
- 16:59But now when I come back to Bethlehem, I'm no longer Naomi, call me Mara because I, I, I've lost everything.
- 17:10I've lost my husband, my support.
- 17:13I've lost my son, my support after my husband, and now I have nothing but a daughter-in-law that isn't even, even obligated to me because my son's dead.
- 17:28But yet she comes, and she's showing us,"I'm not gonna separate myself from you.
- 17:35Yes, I can have another husband because I'm so beautiful.
- 17:39Yes, I can go in and have another child, but I've committed myself to you, and I'm not going back on my word." What?
- 17:47So now that she has linked up with her mother-in-law, which she calls her mother now, she's, is now taking on the inheritance of the family, so when they go back to Bethlehem, it's now harvest time.
- 18:02Don't miss that.
- 18:03A lot of people miss it, but don't miss that.
- 18:04It's harvest time, and what is she going to do?
- 18:07It's barley harvest time, so she's going to glean.
- 18:12I'm gonna just take the little bit that's left over, and I'm gonna bring it home, and that's what we're gonna eat for dinner.
- 18:16And then I gotta get up tomorrow and get the little bit that's left over, and then I'm going back and feed it, and then I'm going to do the same thing all through harvest.
- 18:26Now, when it gets to the end of harvest, then how they gonna eat?
- 18:33Remember now, they wasn't worried about tomorrow.
- 18:37They had to deal with today.
- 18:40I gotta get a little bit today so we can eat today.
- 18:44Tomorrow she comes up again and go, and get a little bit so she can eat for the day.
- 18:50And then finally It's now threshing floor time.
- 18:56All of that wheat that was now accumulated in the barn, it's time to separate.
- 19:05And a woman is not allowed to go to the threshing floor, but Naomi tell them to go.
- 19:14Most people gonna miss that because not only Uh, a man thing is a special time.
- 19:25And she says,"Uncover his feet." So see what I'm...
- 19:33You have to be morally perfect So she uncovers his feet early in the morning And then he asked her,"What do you want me to do?" She know,"Come tomorrow I have no more food." He says,"That uncovering his feet thing, marry me.
- 19:59Take care of me, because we have nowhere else to go.
- 20:04We have no more food.
- 20:06The house is run down, the winter's coming.
- 20:08We won't survive the winter." And he says,"I can't because someone closer to the family than I am." He said,"But if they don't marry you, then I'll take it." You know how powerful this story really is, but most people don't get to see it because it's too spiritually deep for the average person to understand.
- 20:38That's why on the threshing floor he made a promise.
- 20:42"Yes, I'm gonna tell the person so they can marry you and take care of you, but if they don't do it, I'll take it and keep it going." That's the story of Ruth.
- 20:52But in the Book of Ruth 2:17, oh, we done, we done stepped in it now, we can't turn back now,'cause the word of God is just that important so we can understand.
- 21:08Now, why did God hide all of this, all of these spiritual secrets?
- 21:15Why did he do that?
- 21:17Well, first of all- To make sure we understand, it's available for you to understand, but you gotta dig.
- 21:30It's available for you to understand, but you gotta live right.
- 21:35He says,"You can't get this just'cause you want it.
- 21:40You gotta get this because he's gotta show it to you." Oh, I'm just telling you, this, this is how deep the word of God really is.
- 21:49And you gotta know this.
- 21:52That's how important it is for us to understand.
- 21:55And that's why I love the story about Ruth, because morally, we don't have morals no more.
- 22:04Especially when you're talking about the children of Israel, that's all they had was morals.
- 22:11They, they, they would go and kill a person because they was morally corrupt.
- 22:18Now, why is that?
- 22:20We, we, we go- we got, we gotta understand how important all of this stuff really is when it comes into understanding the word of God like that.
- 22:29So Ruth knows she's a Moabite, but yet she's gonna do right.
- 22:37Now, how many people today think, even think that way?
- 22:42They don't have a clue about when we talking about moral- Doing things right Oh, that, that, that's just understanding.
- 22:55But as we go into the book, right, I want you to pay attention to how important it is to know about these little things in the word of God.
- 23:07Because it's so many little things that's hidden, most people, not only will they not know it, they won't understand it even if they read it or saw it.
- 23:17So in the Book of Ruth 2:17, I want you to grab a hold of how deep this really is.
- 23:26"So she gleaned," and I was telling you already,"in the field until when evening." All day long she was gleaning for these wheat.
- 23:37"And beat out that she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley." It wasn't that much.
- 23:46But even though she got it, she still had to go home and do some work because she had to get it ready to be prepared to eat.
- 23:53So in Isaiah I know y'all saying,"Man, who knows this stuff?" Uh, it's not me.
- 24:02It's just, it's just the, the Holy Spirit has done a wo- done a wonder in showing me so I can have some understanding So in Isaiah, back in twenty-eight But I, I want, I, I, it's so much to this in verse 27 when it starts talking about thresh, with the threshing instrument.
- 24:28Now, that's what I want to deal with right now, the instrument.
- 24:32So it has a fork, we call it a winnowing fork.
- 24:37It has, like, three long teeth, three long blades, and that's why Jesus says he's a winnower.
- 24:47Wait, he's, he's the one that's gonna do it.
- 24:50So he takes these three blades and he pushes it into the wheat, and then he throws it in the air, and the wind takes the chaff and lets the wheat drop to the ground.
- 25:00And he keeps doing this.
- 25:01This is the, this does all day long for days until all the chaff is gone and the wheat's the only thing left.
- 25:10And that's when you're preparing for next harvest because the wheat is gonna be planted again, but then a lot of it's gonna be done for meal.
- 25:19The wheat that we are hearing now is how you start turning, and you mill it, and you grind it, and you get it ready for a meal.
- 25:28Why, though?
- 25:30Because back then, you gotta work for your food.
- 25:34There's no such thing that is just there.
- 25:37You've gotta put in work.
- 25:40A time of separation.
- 25:42The biggest problem today, most people don't wanna work.
- 25:46I'm just being real with you.
- 25:48Most people don't wanna work because to work, you not only have to have a plan, you gotta do something.
- 25:59Every time I look, I go to a store and it says, uh, we, e-excuse us, uh, we, we under, we undermanned.
- 26:06It, it's just hard to find people who wanna work.
- 26:10What, what the pandemic allowed people to do is sit around and get a, get ch- get a check.
- 26:18Who does that?
- 26:21So after that,"Well, I do feel pretty good.
- 26:25Let me just sit back and get more." Now, a time of separation.
- 26:33We are not paying attention, but this is what's happening now.
- 26:37He's separating people who say they believe him, then he's saying,"Mm, does that really look like a believer?" Sounds good, but it just don't line up with my words I was talking to somebody today, I said,"Can you imagine the word of God says if everybody," I didn't say most people, he said,"Everybody agrees and it goes against the word," and he said,"All of them are liars, and the word's still true." Jesus says,"I come to fulfill." He said,"Everything written about me, I must do it." We're at the stage right now, we're talking separation now, where it's gonna come a time soon that the only way you're gonna be able to buy is with a chip in your forehead or in your hand.
- 27:35If it's not there, you can't buy it.
- 27:37You're not part of the system Now here's the crazy part about this I know I'm a believer, so I know I ain't gonna get it, and I know I'm gonna survive.
- 27:50Why?
- 27:51Because if he can protect Elijah, he'll take care of me.
- 27:57That's just real.
- 27:58A lot of people gonna be afraid and they gonna get it.
- 28:00Why?
- 28:01They have no faith in God.
- 28:04You can talk, you can talk a big game all day long until you're hungry, then it's time for separation That's when we gonna see who really believes.
- 28:17Because once you get the chip, you're through.
- 28:22You have just separated yourself from God for eternity That's the word.
- 28:30We talking about the threshing floor.
- 28:32Talking about understanding the Word of God.
- 28:35I hope you enjoy hearing the Word of God.
- 28:38We talking about going deeper than we've ever been before
