- 0:00Trending. Now here's what you need to know. Well, today's election day.
- 0:04In order to go to Cast County, voters can head to the polls
- 0:07to vote for their local primary elections. Until seven pm today, voters in
- 0:11Cass County can view the approximate weight time, which is pretty cool. If
- 0:15you go to Casscounty end dot gov backslash, backslash, don't be splashing around
- 0:22polling locations, and then you can also see where you can vote as well.
- 0:26Good, that's all good info. Let your voice be heard. Absolutely.
- 0:31I better see those voter stickers today all up on social media. Did
- 0:34you dare get a sticker and not post it? You'd be nuts to do
- 0:38that, all right, did you? It's been known fifty second Avenue I
- 0:41think is probably the hot spot for street racing, for all the people speeding
- 0:46and doing that. But it just mean because I live out in that area,
- 0:51probably well. Speeding and street racing was a big topic last night at
- 0:54the Fargo City Commission meeting. Fargo's police chief was trying to throw out a
- 0:57bunch of different ideas to help fix the problem, including race and fines for
- 1:00racing. But they're saying right away that's not going to help the situation because
- 1:03that would need state legislative action. Commissioners did vote to reduce this speed on
- 1:07fifty second Avenue between twenty nine and Cheyenne from forty five to forty. Well,
- 1:12that's not going to do anything, but that might it might get me
- 1:17though. At four o'clock in the morning. Right now, I'm good because
- 1:19fifty second Avenue I can't go because of all that work on Cheyenne. But
- 1:23when when it's just you drive in, it's what it feels, say the
- 1:27highway kind of yeah, when there's no lights until forty fifth, you're like,
- 1:30ooh, so going forty it feels like you could walk faster. You
- 1:34know. Sometimes yes, but got it. They should make if you do
- 1:38get cought street racing, they should from the rest of your life. You
- 1:41have to have like a what do they call them, a governor, like
- 1:42they like in a like a golf cart game. You go so fast,
- 1:46so your car only can go the speed or five under the speed limit,
- 1:49that would be that's it would be wild. That's a good idea, and
- 1:53I stand by and there are a lot of people upset about this. The
- 1:57Morehead Business Association had to cancel their fireworks display because it just financially doesn't make
- 2:01sense anymore. That was the biggest display in more Head over at MSUM.
- 2:07We've worked with him in partner with him for a lot of years. It's
- 2:08pretty cool. But you know, I mean, does fireworks ever make financial
- 2:13sense? You know, my buddies and I when we used to get together
- 2:15on Cotton Lake, like we would all be pulling, you know, hundreds
- 2:19of dollars of fireworks together and then we blow them up and that's it.
- 2:23But there would be no Fourth of July celebration without the fireworks. That's what
- 2:27really brings it home, is that right? Yes, America bab was there
- 2:30even for Was there fireworks at the first Fourth of July? You think?
- 2:34Yeah? When Hancock put pen to paper, you think there was, Yeah,
- 2:38he probably the ink probably exploited right out of the pen. That was
- 2:40the first firework. Franklin looked up and saw Dakota splash or whatever that what
- 2:46do they call it? The Dakota eruption? You think what you think when
- 2:52Lincoln put his name on that dotted line, he lit off a smoke bomb?
- 2:57Yeah you think so? Uh huh, Well, then I'll be darned
- 3:02you're on wend Day, Pike. I do appreciate it, I really do.
- 3:06You're really bringing you think when Colonel's Santaday's put the quill down on that
- 3:10ledger, you think he had a Roman candle going out a sunny today,
- 3:15HI have eighty. Thank you so much for listening to this in the morning.
- 3:19No, Amanda stills, Let's see, let's see, and now the
- 3:23greatest TV show theme song ever? I could cry. I mean, name
- 3:32a better one. And we do have a Dowson's Creek related story. That's
- 3:35why we're doing this, Yash, I don't know that one does hit.
- 3:38You know what's also very nostalgic for me is this can you name the show?
- 3:44No, well, then you missed out on a great little program called
- 3:49The Wonder Years. Oh yeah, no, I missed that one. Sorry,
- 3:52I'm sure I watched it. But this isn't ringing any bells. Back
- 3:54back to Dawson's Creek. Wait till that slapping chorus comes in here we go.
- 4:01Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember it. You're just saying
- 4:06that's so I'll stop playing it. I'm kind of okay. Katie Holmes,
- 4:10she had sat done for this interview when he was talking about how she keeps
- 4:14in touch with all the cast members of Dawson's Creek, which is awesome.
- 4:17She's like, yeah, we have a group text. Every once in a
- 4:20while, we message each other. And then she goes, well, I
- 4:23didn't know until recently that the entire cast has a WhatsApp chat group that she
- 4:28was never a part of. She says, oh, but you know,
- 4:30I'm really bad at what'sapp. Whatever. You got to tell yourself, Katie.
- 4:33Obviously they don't like you. That would hurt, so that's their one
- 4:35to talk pool about. You. Do you remember the show Practical Magic too
- 4:41or Practical Magic Now? Was it a show or a movie? It was
- 4:44a movie. I'm sorry I always say show, but yeah, the third
- 4:46time this week done, I've actually I sort of got never heard of that
- 4:49movie. Really it was was Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, and I know
- 4:53I watch it, but this was way back in the nineties. It wasn't
- 4:56like one of my favorites. But this is going to be exciting if they
- 4:59do could happen. They're in talks to do number two and I just want
- 5:01to see Sandra Bullock back on the main stage. I mean talks to do
- 5:05number two as well. Okay, couple of coffee next, I've never I'm
- 5:16looking that movie up. Sally and Jillian, born into a magical family,
- 5:21have mostly avoided witchcraft themselves, but when Chilean's vicious boyfriend Jimmy dies unexpectedly,
- 5:30they get a crash course in hard magic. That is hard magic. Kind
- 5:36of feels like the hocus Pocus when they redid that when it was still good.
- 5:41I feel like they could make that one work, even though it sounds
- 5:43a little ridiculous. Well, it probably can't be worse than the first one.
- 5:46All Right, Taylor Swift, we'll not be making an appearance in the
- 5:48upcoming Marvel movie Deadpool and Wolverine. There was a lot of rumors and they
- 5:51actually started from Swifties. Do you remember when Hugh Jackman, Sean Levy,
- 5:57and Ryan Reynolds were all in the suite the Chiefs game with Taylor. They
- 6:00thought that was kind of a an easter egg, if you will, like
- 6:04dropping a nice, big old hint that Taylor's hanging with these guys because of
- 6:09that not the case. Apparently, there's a mutant named Dazzler in this show.
- 6:15And then Dazzler happens to be a pop star that they thought it was
- 6:18going to be Taylor. How she possibly have time for that right now?
- 6:23I don't know. Well, we also thought, how could she possibly write
- 6:26a whole nother album? And then we've found out it also had another album
- 6:30on top of the album. The girl just doesn't stop. I guess not,
- 6:33but she draws the line at dazzler, can't you mutant Dazzler? I
- 6:40get a Manda in the morning, did seven? Let's do it? Crack
- 6:45my knuckles. I'm getting a little judge. Let me get let me squeeze
- 6:47into my judgy pants tight? No okay, I didn't only throw them on
- 6:57once a week. They just uh, and we're pretending so anyway, and
- 7:01so now it's to get judge. This guy's got a brutal situation on his
- 7:06hands. So if you want to weigh in seven oh one two eight h
- 7:09one ninety eight seven. His name is Derek. He's agreed to talk to
- 7:12us. Now, Good morning, Derek. How's it going? Will kind
- 7:15of stuck between a rock and heart place here. I guess it was about
- 7:17three years ago. Now, I caught my dad cheating what's one of his
- 7:21co workers on my mom on your mom? Oh my god, yeah,
- 7:27Derek, did you watch yeah or what I caught it? Okay, yikes,
- 7:30you said three years ago, so quite a bit of time has passed.
- 7:33What's going on now that you've called in? My dad is his mistress
- 7:38from that time, and now they're going to get married, and my dad
- 7:43has asked me to be his best man in the wedding. And I'm just
- 7:46I'm pretty protective of my mom because of that whole thing. I'm torn here
- 7:49because I feel like it's going to crush my mom, Like I don't.
- 7:54I feel like I'm betraying her. Does that make sense if I were to
- 7:57participate. Oh that's a tough one, man. I also love my dad,
- 8:01you know, Yeah, it's still your dad, right. I mean,
- 8:03I'm sure you don't agree with what he did, but nobody's perfect.
- 8:07It's worked out for him. It's I mean, they're clearly moved on.
- 8:11I don't think. Yes, I know, time heals all wounds, but
- 8:13he's moved on. I'm sure. Is your mom still does this feel like
- 8:16it was yesterday to her? Is it still really fresh? I don't know
- 8:20if it's really fresh, but it's still I mean she's still single, she
- 8:24live alone. And so your dad is doing a big like hoopla again for
- 8:28this wedding, like full on wedding. Yeah, he's going all out,
- 8:31really, he's going all out. They have like a twelve day cruise planned
- 8:35for their honeymoon. It's like a hole big deal and he really wants me
- 8:39to be part of it. But I can't bring myself to say yes.
- 8:41I haven't yet, and I just don't know what to do. What we'll
- 8:43do. We're going to talk to some people, get some responses, get
- 8:46the vibe of what people think that you can kind of go off of that.
- 8:50We'll see what we can come up with. Okay, okay, cool,
- 8:52thanks? Well what do you think seven on one to two eight oh
- 8:54one ninety eight seven Should Derek be the best man in his dad's wedding as
- 8:58he marries the earl that he cheated on Derek's mom with? So I think
- 9:03no, I think that's gross. I mean, like, okay, dad,
- 9:09whatever, Like, yeah, do what you want, but you don't
- 9:11need to bring your son into it. Why are you having a big wedding?
- 9:13Like how many people get married a second third time? Yeah, but
- 9:16you don't have to judge him, but it's their choice. Maybe it's her
- 9:18first wedding. I'm sorry, did you just say I don't have to judge
- 9:22them? You know where we are. I know you just said. You
- 9:26put your judging pants on, and now you're judging me for judging not.
- 9:30No, not, that's rule number one. It's not fair. I take
- 9:33it back. I am judging. I'm I'm judging that. Three years later,
- 9:37after hooking up with his coworker, this guy's having a big wedding and
- 9:39wants his adult son to be the best man to stand by his side.
- 9:43No, absolutely not. I think that he should be in the wedding.
- 9:50Just tell your mom, you know what. This is also my dad.
- 9:52I want to be there and support him. I don't agree with the decisions
- 9:56he made, but clearly, after three years this isn't just a little like
- 9:58fling anymore. Do I agree that they're having a big wedding. No,
- 10:03but I don't think anybody should have huge weddings anymore either. Now you're judging
- 10:07people who have big weddings. Besides, really, but I think you.
- 10:11I think you stand up by your dad. I mean he I would assume
- 10:15he admits that what he did was wrong, but it ended up working out
- 10:18with the assumption. Don't you think it's your dad? It's your agreed it's
- 10:22your dad by all like, go ahead and go, But does dad allow
- 10:26it to? Like, you know, you give me the best man and
- 10:28you're gonna go on to some sort of weird bachelor party with your dad.
- 10:31Now they're just like making things up. You heard him. It sounds like
- 10:35dad's doing it upright, Dad's doing the whole nine yards bachelor party. It's
- 10:39we're I go for the bachelor party bike. Oh, probably sim City,
- 10:45I guess, and you know what happens there. This one really got your
- 10:48workd oune. Okay, I am worked up. I need to go down
- 10:50on nine eight seven? What should he do? Good morning? Definitely,
- 10:54No, he can't do that, Like he's gonna stand by his mom.
- 10:58If he does that, he's gonna hurt hurt so much. Well exactly,
- 11:01but you think because it's gonna hurt his dad, right, we all agree
- 11:05that his dad would be hurt by him saying no. But you think because
- 11:09of his past sins, you know, we kind of owe him one or
- 11:11what. It's not even about the sin, it's just he made his choice.
- 11:16Like he made and not all choices have consequences that we love, you
- 11:20know, like kind of made it best take it's very well put. Well,
- 11:22Thank you man, thank you for calling. Thank you. I totally
- 11:26agree that's right. Starting to feel like I'm the odd one here because I
- 11:28feel like, no, it's okay. We put it on Facebook and we
- 11:31also got a couple of texts here. Sarah, one of our top fans
- 11:35on Facebook, said the same thing happened to me. I refuse to attend
- 11:37my dad's wedding as I did not agree with it. It's been twenty five
- 11:41years and I still don't feel bad or regret not attending. His actions ruined
- 11:45our family, and I didn't feel like supporting it for sure. That is
- 11:48like it's a really good staying like it's one thing for him to do it,
- 11:50and like you still love him. It's your dad, and of course
- 11:54you're not cutting him out of your life, but like for dad to take
- 11:56it a step further and do this big grand wedding, like that's just like
- 12:01rubbing everyone's face in it, totally not necessary. I'm guessing that his new
- 12:05wife either maybe was never married or that's what she wants and he's what you
- 12:09think she would like even just have a little shame and it's their decision.
- 12:13Their adults, they get to do what they want. We got another message
- 12:16here. Clearly he doesn't agree with or support the wedding. Why would you
- 12:18participate in a wedding you don't support. I didn't even show up to my
- 12:22sister's wedding because I didn't approve of it after they both cheated on each other.
- 12:26Not only would I tell him no, I would not even show up.
- 12:30Got one more message here, Okay, since he is very protective over
- 12:33his mother and about what happened, the person he needs to talk to is
- 12:35his mom, which I do agree. I'm sure she already knows that her
- 12:39ex is going to be getting married and whom he just needs to you know,
- 12:43I think he just needs to tell her how he feels. If he
- 12:46feels conflicted and he wants to participate, then allowed you know, well,
- 12:50yeah, hey, of course gives you the green light then you know by
- 12:54all means. But I and I think that's the first conversation that needs to
- 12:58be have. Acknowledge her feelings. But then and also, she's going to
- 13:01be in your life now forever. You might as well go and show up
- 13:03or until the next wedding, the next coworker he falls in love with.
- 13:07Yeah, Bi, I'm just saying, okay, so are we entering that
- 13:13the judgment that it's just a hard no. I think it's the hardest of
- 13:16no's. I think you don't go. I think you tell your dad,
- 13:18Dad, this is ridiculous. You're I don't know how old you are,
- 13:22but it's like, what are we doing? You know, go to the
- 13:24courthouse if you feel like you've two three years after doing that with my mom,
- 13:28you feel like you need to get remarried again. All right, we'll
- 13:31enter your judgment because I'm too scared to give mine. You've said your piece.
- 13:35I think Dad, you think you should not only be the best man,
- 13:37you should throw him a big Bachelor Bard say that and Amanda in the
- 13:41morning on Big seven. There are still things people do on a daily basis
- 13:46that are in fact quite rude, and they're very common, you know what
- 13:50I mean. So I've got the top five that people were chiming in on
- 13:54this very subject, Amanda, So all right, I tell me if it's
- 13:56something you've seen or maybe even done yourself, doubtful. So we'll see.
- 14:01This one is interesting because obviously it is rude to look at your phone while
- 14:05someone is talking to you, but somebody pointed out it is equally as rude
- 14:09to just start talking to someone who is looking at their phone, because that's
- 14:13essentially you saying that, well, I know what you're doing on your phone.
- 14:16It couldn't be important, So here's me talking to you. My gosh,
- 14:20I really like this because guilty as charged for the one being on the
- 14:24phone. Yes, but every once in a while, I'm clearly in the
- 14:28middle of doing something right and my husband will oh, you're on your phone,
- 14:35and I'm like, yeah, I am. Yeah. I always say
- 14:39to my wife, I'm like okay. I get like generally like it's not
- 14:41okay, but I was doing something. Yeah. It's not like it'd be
- 14:46different if it was in the midst of just scrolling and doing something right,
- 14:48and that I'm gonna go, oh, yeah, you're talking to me.
- 14:52But I don't care if I'm reading the blank one eighty two Wikipedia page for
- 14:54the four thousandth time I'm doing something that is interesting. I've never had that
- 15:00flip flop. But either way, I think the world can do better in
- 15:03both regards because it gets to be a little extreme. Amen's sister. Another
- 15:07rude thing that you see very commonly when people are walking on a footpath.
- 15:11The footpath will fit two people, but if there's let's say, two people
- 15:15coming towards you and neither one of them moves, isn't that the most annoying
- 15:18thing in the world, Like you got to like step off of the path
- 15:22to get out of the way. Kind of feel like when you see them
- 15:26coming, and if it's just one person, I would just go to the
- 15:28side, yeah, and let the two go because they're together. I just
- 15:31I feel like there's people out there who just never get out of the way
- 15:35for anybody, and they're the worst people, you know what I mean.
- 15:37Like when you like you're in a crowd and you see somebody coming and I
- 15:39like dodge out, like jump out of the way, and meanwhile they're just
- 15:43like, you know, firm shoulders. It's the guys, obviously, Yeah,
- 15:46Like I'm not getting out of the way through anyone. Also, another
- 15:50common thing that is rather rude insulting some insulting something about yourself or someone else
- 15:56in front of someone who has that same trait, Like if you're sitting there
- 16:00and you know, you're really not that big, but you're going, oh
- 16:03my god, I'm so fat. But you said somebody has the same trade.
- 16:07I'm saying. If you're sitting there going oh my god, I'm so
- 16:08fat, and you're sitting there in front of your friend who might be morbidly
- 16:11obese, it's like, yes, that's offensive to them, you know what
- 16:15I mean. Or you see it a lot with making fun of like let's
- 16:18say, like celebrities or even like people who are bad people. You know,
- 16:22like if somebody commits a crime, then everyone's like, oh, that
- 16:26old fat idiot. It's like, well, okay, yeah, he's a
- 16:29bad person. But making fun of them for that, it's like he's not
- 16:33going to hear it. But you now, your friend who is overweight makes
- 16:37you feel how do you feel about me? Then it also annoys this person.
- 16:41When you're driving in a parking lot and someone or like a family has
- 16:44to walk through the walkway or out of a store and they take an extremely
- 16:48diagonal path, you know what I mean, because it takes definitely longer.
- 16:52I get you, like you're trying to take a straight line to wherever your
- 16:55car might be in the parking lot, but you're just like totally disrupting the
- 16:59flow of re Just go straight across, yes, make it as short of
- 17:03a route as possible, and then go find your car. Thank you never
- 17:06even thought about that. I get so so upset and judging about how fast
- 17:11people are walking, and I get you know what I mean, like when
- 17:14somebody's trying to when you're waiting for somebody to cross, come on, like
- 17:18a little bit of a sense of urgency here, please you. Yeah,
- 17:21we don't need an mean all la gaggers. I don't need to see like
- 17:23you know, high knees, but if I could see a little bit of
- 17:26a shuffle acting like you care that I'm just sitting here waiting for you.
- 17:30And then finally, common things you see that are actually rude. Approaching someone's
- 17:34dog without asking first, Oh, yeah I pet your dog? Can I
- 17:40because you don't know? Well yeah, they say, like this person said,
- 17:41I have a super shy dog. Are we I know we love dogs,
- 17:48but are we assigning shyness to dogs? Yeah? Maybe timid. I
- 17:53get if the dog is gonna lose it or bite you, but it's like
- 17:57my dog's shy. Just make it nervous. Bike how do you engage that?
- 18:04How shy you're doc? Yeah, my dog rarely talks in front of
- 18:08people. That is kind of a weird phrase to be using, timid insecure
- 18:14would be weird. Yeah, he's having an identity crisis, like a minute
- 18:19in the morning on I know it sneaks up on you every year, but
- 18:26this week is all about dad. It's Daddy week. It is he Father's
- 18:30Day weekend. Didn't sneak up on me a bit over Daddy all week?
- 18:34Oh yeah, tell me, tell me what ways you been celebrating daddy?
- 18:38Well, yesterday are you talking about your dad? Your husband? Nick?
- 18:42My husband? Nick? I did talk to both my dad's yesterday and then
- 18:48Yeah, been just really getting ahead of things. You know, you have
- 18:51until Sunday. I'm also like the annoying daughter who like calls my dad's all
- 18:55the time. That was very nice. Yeah, what are you? Are
- 18:57you going to tell me how you spoiled daddy or is this not for the
- 19:00air? Nope? I kicked off his Father's Day week by uh, why
- 19:08do you make everything so weird? But no laser hair removal on his back?
- 19:14Over it? Everest regenerator. Yes, I thought I saw a harry
- 19:18Back. Harry Back on your story. Yeah, I thought, you know
- 19:22what, because he he's always shaving it, and I'm like, you know
- 19:25what, let's get this handled. He's got a big golf weekend ahead of
- 19:27him. That's how he celebrates Daddy Day away from the kids. You can't
- 19:30show up to a golf weekend with a hairy back. I get a little
- 19:33sweaty, not grow back. They go through a couple of treatments and yeah,
- 19:40then he's good to go. Zip zapp zippity zapp. He loved it
- 19:42at first. He was kind of like seriously and then all about it.
- 19:47Now good for him? Yeah, what about chest hair? Do you leave
- 19:49that? He did leave that. Where do you draw the line? We
- 19:52just said the back like the bat wings and all that. Yeah, and
- 19:56he was he's a hairy boy. I mean, I just keep going,
- 19:59why stop at the waist, let's really to each there. I think that's
- 20:03a pretty good Father's Day gift. Although there are many bad Father's Day gifts,
- 20:07and I feel guilty of all of these over the years. Tell me
- 20:11if he would enjoy any of the worst Father's Day gifts. In twenty twenty
- 20:15four, k Okay boring gift cards. I just feel like it would be
- 20:18a boring car. I don't know, a Minard's gift card. See,
- 20:21I was just gonna say, I feel like we give lands Pants Fleet Farm
- 20:25gift card, Like that's kind of his. It's like, go buy what
- 20:26you need because I don't even know where. He's so transactional, he's boring.
- 20:30He is more of actually the arc. He loves going over to the
- 20:33Ark and doing some shopping, So that would be a good gift card.
- 20:34What's the arc? The arc adict treasures? There's one on thirty second,
- 20:40A couple of them. Oh household story. Tell me all the gems he
- 20:44finds good for him. Also ties, I think that goes without saying at
- 20:48this point it's pretty cliche to get your dad a tie, unless you've got
- 20:52the dad who has to rock a tie all the time. Yeah. Right,
- 20:56and then you want to do some fun, yeah exactly. You gotta
- 20:59have the right dad for that one. Uh, Hawaiian t shirts find themselves
- 21:03on the worst Father's Day gifts? Is that a why did I get We
- 21:07used to get our dad Hawaiian T shirts? Is that still a thing dads
- 21:11are wearing? I think like at the Lake in the summer. It was
- 21:15just the thing. I I don't think I've seen a dad in a Hawaiian
- 21:18T shirt. I think it's time for a comeback. Good. Why can't
- 21:22I just show up wearing a Hawaiian T shirt? But I think you can.
- 21:27No, you can't be real. Come on, it's like back in
- 21:30school, Like if you showed up wearing something dramatically different, everyone's gonna talk
- 21:33about it. You're gonna get made fun. I mean, that's what the
- 21:36energy you need to be bringing. H I'm wearing a gray T shirt currently,
- 21:38so I could really, you know, I could use some pop.
- 21:41Yeah pop is when you got your pink golf polo on. Yeah. Cheap
- 21:48tools find themselves on the worst Father's Day gifts. You wouldn't even attempt.
- 21:52The tools don't even bother you, right because they are so expensive, you
- 21:56know, And it's like, he doesn't need another hammer if you're dad is
- 22:00a tool guy, right, probably not, So don't don't get him a
- 22:03cheap one. And that goes for the next one too, golf related items.
- 22:07Because I'm a golf guy and let's say I did have a kid.
- 22:10It's like, oh my gosh, what we already got Nick his Father's Day
- 22:15gift. He bought that Iowa State golf bag when we were back in Iowa
- 22:18last month. That doesn't that was a month ago, and you said he
- 22:21bought it. We we're kind of like not the gift givers situation here,
- 22:26but my goodness, a man should be able to buy himself a golf bag
- 22:30without it counting as his father's dad he scored this Father's Day Holy smoke,
- 22:34you know what I mean? Like, don't I don't like other people buying
- 22:37me golf stuff because why well unless I'm like specifically telling you what it is
- 22:41I want, and you know you're also probably not gonna be able to afford
- 22:44it. Okay, So okay, I shouldn't say that you can probably afford
- 22:47it. I'm not saying it's so expended. If I've rolled in here with
- 22:49some Provy one golf balls, you're just gonna say no thank you about that
- 22:53would be agree But you know that's not what I would get. Like,
- 22:56let's say I had a kid. You know they're going to roll in with
- 22:59some top flights, you know, some some Wilsons, and I'm gonna be
- 23:03like, oh gee, thanks, and then I'm gonna hit him into a
- 23:07field. So even if they got you, like a really cute shirt that
- 23:10said number one Dad on it, Oh that's say that because best Dad mugs
- 23:15or other merchandise is also number two on the worst Father's Day lifts Funny t
- 23:19shirts as well. Instagram is getting me really good right now with all kinds
- 23:22of pop up dads. There was actually a golf shirt that you could put
- 23:26the kids' faces on. I mean, just such an ridiculous T shirt like
- 23:30golf, like a bunch of them, like a bunch of faces all over.
- 23:33Yes, And I thought, because he's in that big golf tournament this
- 23:37weekend, that that would be hilarious. I don't think he'd wear it,
- 23:41though, and I don't want to waste the money, but I thought it
- 23:42would be funny, you know, easy it would be to make money to
- 23:45sound stupid stuff like that online. People are just sockers for that kind of
- 23:48thing. Guilty. And what do you think the number one worst Father's Day
- 23:52gift is? Oh? I thought for sure it was number one dad merch
- 23:56No, No, the only thing worse socks in on where? Yeah,
- 24:00that's fair. Nothing says I don't love you like all those things a bag
- 24:06of Haines breefs, like in the morning, big nutty eight point seven.
- 24:10Have you ever, Amanda, have you ever had a bar had a guy
- 24:12tried to hit on you and you've had to shut down his hopes and dreams.
- 24:17Yeah, I feel like I've always been pretty gentle and they've been rude
- 24:21about it. Okay, Well, here's the reasons why somebody may have turned
- 24:22you down. It's not you, it's never it's never your faults of course.
- 24:27Three you know, for example, she lied for no reason. To
- 24:32clarify, Let's say you're chatting with somebody out maybe you're out of the bar,
- 24:36and she's talking about herself and the great job she has and the money
- 24:38she makes and all this and that, and then you ask her for her
- 24:41phone number. Well, it's at that point she realizes if you're going to
- 24:45continue this relationship, she would have to explain that she's lying about all of
- 24:48these things, so she couldn't possibly Yeah, have you ever done that?
- 24:53Like if you made up a name and it's like, well, I can't
- 24:56actually talk to you now because I'm going to at some point have to reveal
- 24:59my real name. I mean, this is a little uh, a little
- 25:02too much honesty here, Pike. But you know, Pork and Tatiana.
- 25:06The reason Tatiana went with Tatiana is because I used to be Tatiana at the
- 25:11bars all up in Colorado. But I love the name. Oh yeah,
- 25:15odd Wig ad alter Egos Pork and Tantiana. Yeah, I always thought that
- 25:21was a funny. So like, how do you decide if a guy gets
- 25:23the real name or not? Or is it just everybody gets Tatiana? Yeah?
- 25:29I don't even remember that. I kind of felt like everybody got Tatiana
- 25:32unless it was, you know, somebody that you were going to pursue.
- 25:37That's what I'm saying, Yeah, what do you draw the line? No?
- 25:40I mean, if I'm going to communicate with them again, I'm not
- 25:41going to have them be like, hey, Tatiana, that would be weird.
- 25:45Well, actually, another painfully honest reason a woman may have turned you
- 25:48down. She's still getting over a breakup. Does that really stop anybody?
- 25:52Yeah? I mean, like if you're out and about, somebody's taught like,
- 25:56you don't have to marry the guy. I know, but you don't.
- 26:00They're just maybe not ready for that next chapter or any of that.
- 26:03I think that that, well, we're all warm blooded humans. She's bounty.
- 26:10Wow, Wow, you are terrible. What what am I terrible for?
- 26:15Still there comes a point where I get like or something, but it's
- 26:18like, you don't need to turn a guy now, I don't know,
- 26:22you're terrible. She says, you're terrible, really really Okay. Another reason
- 26:26a woman may have turned you down she is married. Red flag alert.
- 26:32That could be it, I will tell you. And I am terrible at
- 26:34even paying attention to this rings Like I never looked for him. I didn't
- 26:40even pay attention. And then I have a friend who's single and she's like,
- 26:45that guy is a ring. I'm like, oh, okay, yeah,
- 26:47I guess so literally, it could be a big, cartoonishly big.
- 26:51It could be a ring pop on your finger, and I'd be like,
- 26:53I didn't didn't notice that. And then finally, another painfully honest reason a
- 26:56woman would turn you down is she knows that one of her friends is interested
- 27:00in you already. Have you ever read that We're out and abound somebody already
- 27:03like kind of dims dump so sort of peed on the hydrant, if you
- 27:07will. I think that happens back in the college years for sure, it
- 27:11was like, hey, that one you totally DIBs early on. But every
- 27:17once in a while there would be the well, that person's clearly not into
- 27:21you. It's like I surrender, correct, Come again, ta get a
- 27:26man in the morning, say seven, what pool season is here? So
- 27:30your kids might be going to public pools, they might have a pool in
- 27:33your own yard they're in And here's a question for you. Because a mom
- 27:37went viral after proclaiming on an Instagram post that it is the official start to
- 27:41the pool counts as a bath season. Oh okay, and that she plans
- 27:47to not bathe her kids after they attended a public pool and immediately a little
- 27:52different. Parents had a whole lot to say, such as things like no,
- 27:56wonder how a pandemic happened, or oh that's nasty, or definitely a
- 28:02tubby night for Mike. Don't say tubby night? Do you? Are you
- 28:06guys ready for the tubby tubby? No? Now, we do not use
- 28:08the word tubby in our home. Okay, good, thank god. But
- 28:11you know you consider things like the chemicals that well, just the pea,
- 28:17the sweat, the sun screen. Yeah, so real talk here if we
- 28:21are so we don't have a pool. But if we were to use like
- 28:23our little splash pad that we have that you hook up to the sprinklers outside,
- 28:27yeah, I am one hundred percent unless they're like disgusting well sliding around
- 28:33in the in the grass. But if they're sliding in the grass, it's
- 28:37like I will literally wipe them down and that would be considered a bath,
- 28:38like not even a Yeah, you take out the chemicals and all that,
- 28:42right then, yeah, it is a bad for me. A public pool
- 28:45is maybe the only thing, and there's this is a good up for debate
- 28:48conversation. They'll go to the lake and Friday is Saturday, maybe during like
- 28:55chigger season. Will rinse them off when they get out of the lake,
- 28:59but for the most part, they're not getting a bath until Sunday night when
- 29:03we get home because it's just lake season. So that might be gross to
- 29:07people who find the lake disgusting. For me, I would be more apt
- 29:11to rinse my kids off this second they get out of the pool because chlorine
- 29:15is so gross. Yeah, that's why they got showers. You got a
- 29:17shower before and after, right, Yeah, they're just as to mention,
- 29:19did you ever have this issue? I remember my sister who had like blondish
- 29:22hair. Oh, turning green? It would turn green after the swimming lesson
- 29:26at the Dilworth pool. Yeah, depending on the chemicals and what's going on.
- 29:30Not no, what do you think what's going on? I don't know
- 29:33what the chemicals. I know there's chlorine, but I feel like there's something
- 29:36else in there. It's chlorine. I think it's just certain hair that reacts
- 29:40to it so gross. But yeah, other than that, just bathing your
- 29:42kids in general not necessary. It depends on how active they were, what
- 29:48they were doing. Sometimes we do just like, hey, we're just rinsing
- 29:51off our bodies. My kids are already in that. Why don't want to
- 29:53get a hair? What it's like? That's fine. I'm not even not
- 29:57even fighting you washing your hair? Hey, sid fun fact, Mamma doesn't
- 30:03like washing her hair every day either. Really, I haven't gotten does a
- 30:06dry shampoo yet, but she'll be fine. What's an appropriate age for shampoo?
- 30:11I don't know. I'm not even I can't even think about that, right,
