- 0:35Speaker 3: Welcome to b f y t W episode fuck you.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I don't remember the number four, thank you, you're fuck me.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I guess I can't, and that's why.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what it is. We're having a chill show.
- 0:53Speaker 3: But once again, we're having a chill show with a guest.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Uh c j A k d j's anthis is here?
- 1:00Speaker 4: What's I think I've been the only guest on chill
- 1:05Speaker 4: shows if I'm correct.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I believe so, Yes, sorry us, I found out.
- 1:10Speaker 4: How not to lose b fy p W just show
- 1:13Speaker 4: That's how I do it.
- 1:17Speaker 3: We're like, we're like, we can't have him keep coming
- 1:19Speaker 3: back and losing constantly. Let's just do a chill show
- 1:22Speaker 3: and have him if.
- 1:23Speaker 5: We can't play any games though, guys don't even play
- 1:25Speaker 5: like truth or dare or anything.
- 1:27Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, not even no no coin flips because
- 1:31Speaker 4: I got a fifty fifty that like.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So we're having a fun chill show that's remote partially.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I don't know if he can tell because
- 1:47Speaker 3: my voice, but I'm incredibly stuffed up and I'm just
- 1:51Speaker 3: not like I'm not one hundred percent. And it's also
- 1:54Speaker 3: like really snowy and nasty outside, so to prevent anyone
- 1:57Speaker 3: having to drive, we're doing this episode over Zoom, so
- 2:01Speaker 3: hopefully I still sound good. I got my quality microphone
- 2:04Speaker 3: hooked up and Zoom is one of our better teleconferencing
- 2:08Speaker 3: apps that we used to record, So it seems to
- 2:10Speaker 3: be going well, at least based on the last one
- 2:12Speaker 3: we did this.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, so far, so far, saying that I don't won't
- 2:16Speaker 1: know until the end, so right now I'm gonna say, yes,
- 2:18Speaker 1: so far, we're good.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we are relaxing, relaxing, having some fun. I don't know,
- 2:26Speaker 3: There's not a lot to go over, at least for me.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Like I had a pretty uneventful couple of weeks, Like
- 2:31Speaker 3: I've just been basically hermiting up because like not leaving
- 2:34Speaker 3: my apartment for any reason, and like today is, you know,
- 2:37Speaker 3: just another other day to that piles changed. I've been
- 2:44Speaker 3: working on typesetting the living fuck out of my next novel,
- 2:48Speaker 3: like trying to get it ready for publishing nice and
- 2:52Speaker 3: so I can get an accurate page count to get
- 2:54Speaker 3: the cover to be the right size, as well as
- 2:57Speaker 3: another concern, so.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Oh a special the size this.
- 3:01Speaker 3: One, right, Uh, well, this is one I'm actually thinking about,
- 3:05Speaker 3: like doing a hardcover.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Oh shit, fuck you.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I'm actually very interested in looking into that and seeing
- 3:11Speaker 3: if that's something I can do. It would probably be
- 3:13Speaker 3: like a limited edition, like low amount of copies, like
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'm not going to buy a metric ton of them,
- 3:18Speaker 3: but right, but it would, it would. It would be
- 3:21Speaker 3: one where I'd be like, let's make this an option
- 3:24Speaker 3: for some fun maybe you know. And it's it is
- 3:27Speaker 3: a This novel is a longer novel. It's a fantasy
- 3:31Speaker 3: adventure as well, so it's a little bit more epic
- 3:36Speaker 3: than THINGE was in a lot of ways. So damn,
- 3:40Speaker 3: I I just figured like, if I'm gonna do a hardcover,
- 3:43Speaker 3: why not this one? Like this seems perfect for it.
- 3:46Speaker 4: So he's got he's got the j R. Or Martin
- 3:49Speaker 4: Beard going, I mean, oh.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am fully fully fully GEORGI R
- 3:57Speaker 3: mode right now.
- 3:59Speaker 5: All about that Penis penis great. Penis isn't hobbits, man,
- 4:04Speaker 5: It's all that Martin was good for.
- 4:08Speaker 3: You, don't. You don't even know who we're talking about
- 4:12Speaker 3: talking about. Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones, he said to.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Piss off, like two to three different fucking.
- 4:24Speaker 3: All at once.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Bad George Martin for j R.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Heart.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Why are they all the stupid same? Why do they
- 4:34Speaker 1: they have letters in their names?
- 4:35Speaker 3: It's dumb. Well, I got bad news for you, Stevie.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I'm changing my pen name to Aaron R. Randall. Sorry.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Your show is literally a series of letters.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Everything about letters.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Damn algebra was right?
- 5:02Speaker 5: Yeah, no, mathematically Algebra's right.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Oh are Aaron waute? What a Ron Randolph?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Wait a minute, I'm confused, random, Yeah, that's it. Damn it,
- 5:26Speaker 3: you got me a Randolph.
- 5:30Speaker 4: You made a football joke there for those not familiar.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yes, but that's fucking cool. Tell people at the title
- 5:39Speaker 1: of your second one is are you allowed to Yeah?
- 5:42Speaker 3: The covers out already. It's called Rika and the Inevitability
- 5:45Speaker 3: of Life.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, amability of life. That's just fucking sick, dude, Like,
- 5:55Speaker 1: do you even know what that means? The inevitability of
- 5:58Speaker 1: life means that everything comes.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I I sure, sure, Just just just roll with that, Stevie.
- 6:16Speaker 6: I'm not gonna say that.
- 6:17Speaker 7: The fucking circle of life like kicked into my head
- 6:20Speaker 7: the moment he said that, the image of the Disney
- 6:27Speaker 7: film Laughing playing in the background.
- 6:30Speaker 4: By by Smokes Canada. Cookie.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Oh fuck, but no, I don't know what it means. Aron, Okay,
- 6:43Speaker 5: you got you got, you gotta tell me. No, I
- 6:46Speaker 5: had to read the book, don't I. Yes, Okay, that's fair.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Read a book, Stevie.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I've read one.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I re read Pain more than you could say.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I read.
- 6:59Speaker 5: You even have the audio version available, look on all
- 7:03Speaker 5: the audio.
- 7:04Speaker 7: I haven't been up to much either this week, but
- 7:10Speaker 7: I did make a list of things I have to do.
- 7:15Speaker 7: Making the to do list, you know, off so many times,
- 7:21Speaker 7: race that off, like your list.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Make this list?
- 7:25Speaker 7: Yeah, well, you know, I gotta paint my bolt action means,
- 7:28Speaker 7: because it's been like four years, five five years bottom
- 7:33Speaker 7: put them together and just put them in a box
- 7:35Speaker 7: and just left them there.
- 7:38Speaker 6: And so long. In fact, they've already updated the rules.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I got to get all new rule books for it now.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, finish reading thing. It's right there on the list.
- 7:50Speaker 6: See I told you.
- 7:53Speaker 7: In blue ink, I can't be ye. Also, cutting back
- 8:01Speaker 7: on smoking, you know, like cut back on meat a
- 8:03Speaker 7: little bit, you know, try to get back on it going.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's part of the list.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Winter.
- 8:10Speaker 7: It's like nothing else to do, so it's too easy
- 8:12Speaker 7: to fall into that trap of just sitting around smoking
- 8:15Speaker 7: all day, So I'm trying to cut back saved costs
- 8:18Speaker 7: and stuff like that. Of course, preparing to finish reading
- 8:22Speaker 7: thing is also on the list, so it comes after
- 8:26Speaker 7: finishing red after reading it, so it's a little lower
- 8:29Speaker 7: on my priority list.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So I'm going to finish reading first, then I'm going
- 8:33Speaker 3: to prepare to finish reading.
- 8:35Speaker 7: What have I ever done anything in order.
- 8:39Speaker 3: For?
- 8:40Speaker 6: In fact, play more Rocket League.
- 8:41Speaker 7: I'm sure that's gonna happen way sooner than finishing by
- 8:44Speaker 7: And I'll tell you.
- 8:44Speaker 3: That, Yeah, at this rate, certainly.
- 8:47Speaker 6: Yeah, so you know there's that Uh then I you know,
- 8:52Speaker 6: and again yeah, yeah, maybe I should have chose a
- 8:55Speaker 6: little better in the order.
- 8:56Speaker 7: But choosing a day to prepare to finish reading thing
- 9:01Speaker 7: to prepare to finish to stay.
- 9:05Speaker 6: That's also on the list, but also way further down
- 9:07Speaker 6: than the other two. So I'm realizing that maybe I maybe.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 4: What what I'm finding interesting about this is the order
- 9:15Speaker 4: order points back to the cutting back on smoking and
- 9:19Speaker 4: the need for that thing take occur, because then that
- 9:22Speaker 4: order might be better.
- 9:24Speaker 7: It's almost like I'm like walking back, I'm starting this
- 9:30Speaker 7: is what I'm backing up, and I'm just making a list.
- 9:33Speaker 6: To me backing up.
- 9:33Speaker 7: This isn't me starting from way back there where I
- 9:36Speaker 7: should be starting at.
- 9:37Speaker 6: I'm already here.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I'm just trying to go back reverse. They shot it,
- 9:43Speaker 4: I don't know, but they.
- 9:47Speaker 7: And of course annoy Aaron. Actually I think I could
- 9:50Speaker 7: check that off.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It didn't take long.
- 9:55Speaker 7: But but because I checked that off, I'm not gonna
- 9:57Speaker 7: bother asking the next one, which is about you, uh,
- 10:02Speaker 7: you know, your audio book for your second novel, because
- 10:04Speaker 7: you know I wasn't in the first one.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Well, you're not going to be in the second one,
- 10:12Speaker 3: won't feel.
- 10:13Speaker 7: I had an erase that, annoy era and check mark
- 10:17Speaker 7: it's back on my list'n.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Do that more often.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Don't feel bad, Augie. I wasn't either, So.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Listen if if I do another full cast audiobook, which
- 10:30Speaker 3: honestly not very likely.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Honestly, I don't say you don't listen.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Understand.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Logistically it was a nightmare.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Yes, logistically it was a nightmare. The kickstarter was exhausting.
- 10:45Speaker 3: The months following the kickstarter up until I actually fulfilled
- 10:49Speaker 3: the kickstarter, we're exhausting I'm not going through that again.
- 10:52Speaker 6: I don't blame you.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I'm just not I'm not doing that again at all.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I'm just like, if I get a wind fall that
- 11:00Speaker 3: allows me to pay for it and get it done
- 11:03Speaker 3: and then sure, But otherwise I'm just going to be
- 11:05Speaker 3: like you never know, Rayka could go viral and it
- 11:10Speaker 3: could start sounding like crazy, and then doing the audiobook
- 11:13Speaker 3: will be easy, not a problem. We'll just we'll just
- 11:16Speaker 3: do it, you know, and I won't have to worry about,
- 11:18Speaker 3: you know, trying to raise crowdfunding for it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: You're taking the conventions and ship Yeah I.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Did one, didn't you. It wasn't there a convention you
- 11:28Speaker 4: did writer in town there?
- 11:30Speaker 3: Not? Yeah?
- 11:32Speaker 1: It was a local con that was fun as hell. Man,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I had a good time there.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I sold five copies of the book, made about one
- 11:38Speaker 3: hundred bucks. I'm like, I'll take that. Oh.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we did a live show there. It's a show
- 11:42Speaker 1: that was there.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah we did a show. Yeah, we did a show there.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It was kind of cool. We did too. Yeah we
- 11:46Speaker 1: did a live show there too. Crip.
- 11:48Speaker 6: I just read technical issues as you know, as it do.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I don't think.
- 11:52Speaker 7: I don't think a single time we've done a big
- 11:55Speaker 7: show that hasn't been technical errors not.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I think went smoothly. I don't think there was any
- 12:00Speaker 4: technical issues in red Bank.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that one was fine.
- 12:02Speaker 3: The one, Yeah, but that's that one we had we
- 12:05Speaker 3: had time to set up for.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and the card shop was fine.
- 12:08Speaker 3: We did the one, the one at Locon, we did
- 12:10Speaker 3: not have time to set up for it, so we
- 12:12Speaker 3: basically like we started. We even started twenty minutes late,
- 12:15Speaker 3: and we still had a ton of technical issues.
- 12:19Speaker 7: I would have been one hundred percent reel for a
- 12:20Speaker 7: second there. Yes, technically nothing went wrong at red Bank,
- 12:24Speaker 7: but I did not deliberately want to tank my score
- 12:28Speaker 7: by being the worst pustle.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That was not planned.
- 12:32Speaker 6: I don't know how I forgot everything.
- 12:35Speaker 7: You came in literal last Yeah, yeah, well that subject
- 12:40Speaker 7: that I fucking love.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That was the first show you've ever done in front
- 12:44Speaker 1: of people.
- 12:44Speaker 3: That's true, it was, Yeah, but you also got like
- 12:47Speaker 3: three or four questions right on your own topic. It
- 12:49Speaker 3: was the general trivia that that completely fun. Like you
- 12:53Speaker 3: were just like, uh, no, pass no details, pass.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Specific knowledge yeah all day, but general knowledge right unless
- 13:02Speaker 7: it's past my feet at some point, I don't.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Know about it.
- 13:06Speaker 4: The General. Oneso tanked me in that one too. I
- 13:09Speaker 4: was right there until Bridget from Long Island came in
- 13:11Speaker 4: and fucking kicked my ask She smoked her questions.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I was like, wow, was it Princess Brian.
- 13:19Speaker 4: But the thing that she smoked us on was the general,
- 13:21Speaker 4: Like we yeah, specific, she smoked her specific. I think
- 13:25Speaker 4: we were.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Like it was right, no, no, no, CJ. You had
- 13:29Speaker 3: two points more than she did. You had you had
- 13:32Speaker 3: nine to her seven.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:33Speaker 3: But but then she got into the General and got
- 13:36Speaker 3: nine one yeah, which was nuts. Nine. I think she
- 13:40Speaker 3: only missed two, like out of eleven questions, she got
- 13:43Speaker 3: nine of them right, which was insane because these are
- 13:46Speaker 3: completely random movies, like you have to have like incredibly.
- 13:50Speaker 4: And I think you pulled something out from like the forties.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Like one of the questions was, oh yeah, the Blanca
- 13:56Speaker 4: or something.
- 13:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 3: One of the questions was about Arsenical Old Lace, which
- 14:00Speaker 3: is very very old. Knew, very very old movie, but like,
- 14:03Speaker 3: but I was I felt better about that because like
- 14:06Speaker 3: three people in the audience knew that, like you, Bridge
- 14:09Speaker 3: and Rico knew it. Yeah.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I love that fucking movie, and.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Like I can, I can do some old movies. As
- 14:14Speaker 3: long as they're not like, you know, people things that
- 14:16Speaker 3: people don't know, you know. So again, the other one,
- 14:21Speaker 3: I was like the nineteen thirty seven film was like
- 14:23Speaker 3: Al Jolson's I can't remember what it was. I don't remember,
- 14:28Speaker 3: but people in the audience knew it. So I'm like, Okay,
- 14:30Speaker 3: I feel better about that now. Yeah, but I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 3: you know, it's full.
- 14:35Speaker 4: It might be my I think it's my second worst
- 14:38Speaker 4: defeat on this show, if I'm being honest.
- 14:40Speaker 3: No, you did great, like you were second No, no, no, no,
- 14:44Speaker 3: you were second place out of everybody, like I think
- 14:47Speaker 3: you even I think you even beat Rico.
- 14:50Speaker 4: I did, I did?
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I mean, I mean how I felt about myself at
- 14:54Speaker 4: the end of it, like the personal defeat. I think
- 14:57Speaker 4: it was my second sheat ever on this show.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Why though you were brilliant, you were so good?
- 15:03Speaker 4: Wait, like like that that and that you.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Were you were playing nine other people were against you
- 15:10Speaker 3: from the beginning.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Out of fifty fifty, man, it wasn't one team versus another.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, to come second out of ten it
- 15:17Speaker 3: should not be viewed as a failure.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Yes, and then losing the Handicap show to these two tenth.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Out of tenth. That should be confused as a failure. Actually,
- 15:32Speaker 3: annoy check.
- 15:38Speaker 1: That was awesome. That was awesome.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway, but no, that was a good time though.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I would gladly do that again. Right yeah, we'll talk
- 15:51Speaker 3: like a big mega show.
- 15:54Speaker 4: You guys can wherever wherever I am, you can count me.
- 15:57Speaker 4: And even if I have to come in video, I
- 15:59Speaker 4: want part of that for sure, Like I definitely need
- 16:02Speaker 4: to be a part of video.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Don't come to the video.
- 16:09Speaker 7: That's the inevitability of life.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Everybody comes.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Oh fuck, okay, I say, okay, I say we take a.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Break, right yeah. I think that was a good point
- 16:24Speaker 3: for you.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I think it's a wonderful idea.
- 16:26Speaker 3: All right. When we come back, the madness continues, so
- 16:29Speaker 3: please stay tuned. We'll be back right after this.
- 16:42Speaker 9: If you like fun, then you're gonna love the beard
- 16:45Speaker 9: Out Podcast. It's a podcast where we talk about two
- 16:47Speaker 9: of the greatest things in the world, beer and weird Out.
- 16:51Speaker 9: And frankly, we talk more about weird Out than anything
- 16:54Speaker 9: because he's the gift that keeps on given. So join
- 16:58Speaker 9: us as we talk through career what he needs us.
- 17:02Speaker 9: And we have some very special guests on to discuss
- 17:05Speaker 9: the magic that is Alfred Matthew Yankovic beared out part
- 17:10Speaker 9: of the God Media Network.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game two. Oh wait, no,
- 17:28Speaker 3: we're not doing games like.
- 17:34Speaker 5: This.
- 17:35Speaker 6: I just I just pulled vape. You know what you
- 17:38Speaker 6: just did to me? I thought I was in another
- 17:42Speaker 6: time and place.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Second check. Okay, thet Yeah that's my whole list now.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I like it for me.
- 17:59Speaker 3: So you're just chatting about what's going on and what's
- 18:02Speaker 3: the HAPs, and I sadly don't have very much. Although
- 18:05Speaker 3: my second book is nearing completion publication, which is really cool.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Nice.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I'm hoping that it will be like late February, like
- 18:13Speaker 3: last couple of weeks in February, which would be amazing.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Yeah, beginning of summer, in the summer or some ship.
- 18:23Speaker 3: It's it's going to depend on how the test prints go,
- 18:25Speaker 3: if I have to do like multiples, if I have
- 18:27Speaker 3: to keep like sending it back and you know, getting
- 18:29Speaker 3: the printouts right. But I know what I'm doing this
- 18:33Speaker 3: time around, so hopefully it'll go.
- 18:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So anyway, Yeah, we're just chilling, hanging out, shooting the
- 18:41Speaker 3: ship and having a great time. So what have you
- 18:44Speaker 3: guys been up to. I know, I know Augie is
- 18:48Speaker 3: like practically quitting smoking at least, but or at least
- 18:57Speaker 3: lessening the smoking.
- 19:01Speaker 7: I'll probably still do like edibles, but that's safer to
- 19:04Speaker 7: do anyways, it's healthier and and you know, do it
- 19:08Speaker 7: less often.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Yeah, less smoking your lungs kind of thing exactly.
- 19:13Speaker 1: That's pretty much the reason.
- 19:14Speaker 3: I completely get it. That's cool.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I've been around the same boat. I started cutting
- 19:20Speaker 5: back a bit earlier than you did. I was trying
- 19:22Speaker 5: to just like, all right, I need to I mean
- 19:24Speaker 5: using it too much. I don't need it as much
- 19:26Speaker 5: as I have. And uh, what I did because I
- 19:28Speaker 5: have a very very addictive personality and I always whenever
- 19:31Speaker 5: I find something, I go all in on it and whatnot.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But I found this.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Thing in New York state, pussy eater.
- 19:38Speaker 1: When I do everything, man, I go No one's gonna
- 19:42Speaker 1: beat me, no one I put my mind to it.
- 19:47Speaker 6: I guess, pussy it, New York.
- 19:51Speaker 10: Bring it, bring it, Challenge me, no, come on, challenge me.
- 19:57Speaker 10: For those of you, well, you know how to get
- 20:01Speaker 10: a hold of us.
- 20:02Speaker 5: You know that contact us section. There's a voicemail thing
- 20:07Speaker 5: right there. Let us look us up.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Until he ran into the pussy that ate him.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Back day now wait for the day, be glorious, glorious.
- 20:22Speaker 5: So so yes, I've think cutting back on my marijuana
- 20:30Speaker 5: usage myself and this device that we are not affiliated with.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Which is fine. It's very expensive, but it's fine. It's
- 20:37Speaker 1: called Fume and it's just again a straw.
- 20:39Speaker 5: There's no batteries, there's no vapor, there's no cloud, there's nothing.
- 20:42Speaker 5: It's a straw with this flavored thing and there's like
- 20:44Speaker 5: thirty flavors to choose from, and me, thinking the way
- 20:47Speaker 5: I was gonna use it as much as it did,
- 20:50Speaker 5: I was like, fuck, I better buy a fuck ton
- 20:51Speaker 5: of these things. So I bought a bunch of these
- 20:53Speaker 5: flavors and give me like double of them, and chicks,
- 20:55Speaker 5: I bought so many and I'm still on like the
- 20:58Speaker 5: second one, and there's like three back and shit, and
- 21:01Speaker 5: I'm like, well, I got enough for like three years
- 21:02Speaker 5: right now, I think because I'm not using it as
- 21:04Speaker 5: much as I thought I would. But at the same time,
- 21:08Speaker 5: it's given me the feeling of like, oh, it feels
- 21:09Speaker 5: like I'm pulling from a joint or changes the hole.
- 21:13Speaker 5: So it's tighter or whatever, almost like a bomb, and
- 21:16Speaker 5: nothing's coming in or out. It's just me just taking
- 21:18Speaker 5: deep breaths pretty much. It's fucking neat, man.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So it's been.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Cool, Like I've been cutting back a little bit. But
- 21:26Speaker 5: we did recently go out and get some because it's
- 21:30Speaker 5: the weekend and I wanted to make sure that we
- 21:32Speaker 5: had something available. So we went to one of our
- 21:37Speaker 5: favorite places on the rest.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Of the Green Dino. They were amazing and we got
- 21:43Speaker 1: what do we get? I already forgot.
- 21:46Speaker 5: What's that thing called a babe no BlackBerry cush and
- 21:51Speaker 5: its straight up tastes like BLACKBERRIESGI liking it? I can
- 21:55Speaker 5: tell yeah, yeah, And for me, I'm like, it hit
- 21:57Speaker 5: me once and I've been good since.
- 22:00Speaker 1: So that's one of the small things they've been doing.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Besides kind of back on smoking.
- 22:04Speaker 1: We've spoken smoking a little not as much I have,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you know, cutting back and out of that cut.
- 22:10Speaker 5: You gotta cut back. You han't to stop, man, you
- 22:13Speaker 5: to stop. Everything is going to be like we sucks.
- 22:15Speaker 6: We cut back by burning through it.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we gotta get rid of all this old stuff.
- 22:20Speaker 5: No other than that, though, I've been playing this freaking
- 22:27Speaker 5: video game with Aggie now he got me hooked on.
- 22:29Speaker 7: I don't know how I managed to get this guy
- 22:31Speaker 7: hooked on a I don't like what twenty plus year
- 22:34Speaker 7: old game.
- 22:35Speaker 1: By now, I don't know, but the civil sid Meyer
- 22:39Speaker 1: Civilization five five yeah, yeah, And you guys like, that's
- 22:44Speaker 1: not my.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Type of game normally like a board game with somebody,
- 22:49Speaker 5: but for video games, I stay far away from this.
- 22:52Speaker 5: But for about what two weeks you were playing it,
- 22:54Speaker 5: And while I was sick, I was watching Aggie play
- 22:57Speaker 5: this because I couldn't do anything.
- 22:58Speaker 7: So the idea came to be in a dream, you see, and.
- 23:03Speaker 6: I was playing five.
- 23:05Speaker 7: I'm like, man, you know, this kind of reminds me
- 23:07Speaker 7: of the time we showed Stevie how to play Scythe
- 23:10Speaker 7: and then he proceeded to fucking stomp both Aaron and
- 23:12Speaker 7: eyes ass in Scythe. Yeah, we're really good at these
- 23:17Speaker 7: board games, especially these war game board games.
- 23:20Speaker 6: What did you be okay with this?
- 23:22Speaker 7: Because it's a little bit slower pace than other rts's
- 23:25Speaker 7: And I had him watch me for a bit and
- 23:26Speaker 7: he's like, wow, that's really interesting. I really like that
- 23:29Speaker 7: convinced him to get it while it was on sale.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I got I got a key site, so it was
- 23:33Speaker 1: like six bucks for it and all the expansions or
- 23:35Speaker 1: some shit.
- 23:35Speaker 7: Yeah, and then fucking and now like he's scary, I
- 23:40Speaker 7: don't want to play against.
- 23:43Speaker 1: The first game.
- 23:46Speaker 6: First game, he.
- 23:46Speaker 7: Like he first time playing it, just like in Scythe
- 23:50Speaker 7: At first, he's like, how does this work?
- 23:51Speaker 6: How does this work?
- 23:52Speaker 3: How do I do this?
- 23:52Speaker 7: And I just explained like a few basic things to him,
- 23:55Speaker 7: like not even twenty turns later, I look over and
- 23:58Speaker 7: he's conquered his fucking continents there and he killed them.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It was insane nuts. Oh, and then I asked Aggie, Okay,
- 24:12Speaker 1: how do you play the game? Because I didn't understand
- 24:14Speaker 1: the buildings.
- 24:15Speaker 7: And stuff that his economy tank that I had explained
- 24:18Speaker 7: to him.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Why, He's, uh.
- 24:24Speaker 4: You were good at the war piece of it, not
- 24:26Speaker 4: the piece exactly.
- 24:28Speaker 6: Once he figured out the rice, we're playing through.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Another like I started a new one and yeah, we're crushing.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Oh it's nice because I got it.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Now I'm like, oh, oh, I understand this to turn
- 24:40Speaker 5: the difficulty.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we're mean, it's it's but we've been uh, we've
- 24:45Speaker 1: been streaming it in the b fy t W lounge
- 24:48Speaker 1: when we do play, so it's somewhere the patrons can
- 24:51Speaker 1: go to and watch us play this fucking fun game.
- 24:53Speaker 4: I need to watch that because the last time I
- 24:54Speaker 4: watched you stream, you were still doing the zombie thing
- 24:57Speaker 4: and Call of Duty.
- 24:57Speaker 1: So yeah, well, yeah, here's the update on Call of Duty.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I believe I already told Eric addiction.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I quit Call of Duty. I straight up uninstalled
- 25:08Speaker 5: Call of Duty from my machine.
- 25:10Speaker 1: It is no longer on her.
- 25:11Speaker 5: It's no longer on this one actually, because I just
- 25:12Speaker 5: installed it from this too before we started. I don't
- 25:16Speaker 5: have fun playing anymore and it kind of sucked, so
- 25:19Speaker 5: I was like, you know what, fuck it, I don't
- 25:21Speaker 5: need it, so I got rid of it.
- 25:23Speaker 1: So I haven't been playing that at all.
- 25:25Speaker 5: Like my taste has just changed a bit, Like I
- 25:28Speaker 5: still love FPS is give me Doom.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I love Doom. Like I'm still playing Battlefield twenty forty
- 25:34Speaker 1: two a little bit, but I'm gonna jump back into
- 25:35Speaker 1: Battlefield one soon. But I just have like no respect
- 25:39Speaker 1: for Call of Duty.
- 25:40Speaker 5: Them using the generative AI for all their fucking store items,
- 25:44Speaker 5: and their servers suck balls, their.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Anti cheat sucks. It's just it's complete garbage, man, and
- 25:50Speaker 1: it's not fun anymore. Yeah, I don't need it.
- 25:55Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah, onto some fun, Yeah it is, and I don't
- 26:00Speaker 1: need it. And it takes up like one hundred and
- 26:02Speaker 1: eighty gigs.
- 26:02Speaker 6: For a seventy dollars game.
- 26:03Speaker 7: You know, should not be spending like another sixty dollars
- 26:06Speaker 7: every thirty days just.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Unlockshit, just unlockshit. It's fucked up. Like I don't I
- 26:11Speaker 1: never paid to that, I'd never know. I don't do
- 26:13Speaker 1: that shit, but still it's fucking.
- 26:15Speaker 4: That's honestly why I would never play like Final Fantasy Online,
- 26:17Speaker 4: because I didn't see the point in spending seventy bucks
- 26:19Speaker 4: for the game and then like fourteen ninety nine a
- 26:21Speaker 4: month for the subscription like that. Just never.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Like even with Wow, like World of Warcraft, Like at
- 26:28Speaker 5: first I was like whatever, but it was the only
- 26:30Speaker 5: game I was playing, So I'm like, well, the upkeep
- 26:32Speaker 5: of fifteen that's fair. But at the same time, now
- 26:35Speaker 5: I'm like, I'm paying fifteen dollars a month for a game.
- 26:38Speaker 5: I'll pay fifteen dollars a month for a service that
- 26:40Speaker 5: gives me access to like three hundred games.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Yeah, that's different.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It also allows cross playing shit. But I've just been
- 26:48Speaker 1: done with it, and this is fine because luckily we'll
- 26:52Speaker 1: go to a different type of gaming, tabletop gaming.
- 26:56Speaker 5: And it's not fucking whatever game you were saying earlier. No, yeah,
- 27:04Speaker 5: that game.
- 27:05Speaker 6: It might be at the top of my list, but
- 27:07Speaker 6: truly it's.
- 27:07Speaker 1: At the bottom. But we played D n D this
- 27:11Speaker 1: week at Aaron's crib, so the roost of nerds headed
- 27:16Speaker 1: over to the Pencilss Palace. Man, it was.
- 27:18Speaker 5: It was a lot of fun. We played our Curs
- 27:21Speaker 5: of Straw campaign, as.
- 27:22Speaker 7: I feared otherwise serious campaign has turned into an absolute
- 27:26Speaker 7: clown show.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Would you recap what happened this session? Not this session? No,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I will recap.
- 27:35Speaker 6: I will recap that another place in.
- 27:38Speaker 1: We'll do it on the internet. Sweet Yeah, okay, cool.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Not on the internet.
- 27:45Speaker 7: Look, a lot went on and I can't remember all
- 27:48Speaker 7: of it offhand, so it's gonna take me a minute.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Oggie, can only talk about it on the dark web.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's that good because of strawed man.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's darkness.
- 28:01Speaker 7: Okay, Moving away from who stops showing up at some
- 28:03Speaker 7: point he tired of He's like.
- 28:05Speaker 3: This, Yeah, these adventurers are insane.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Well, Oggie, Aaron, your character bumble he's like got wild
- 28:16Speaker 1: magic or some ship, right, So random shit happens to
- 28:18Speaker 1: your character when you cast spells.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's a he's a wild magic sorcerer.
- 28:25Speaker 3: He doesn't know who his patron is, and that's because
- 28:27Speaker 3: he largely doesn't remember anything past like a year ago.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So you know, something very clearly, very traumatic happened. But
- 28:36Speaker 3: his patron is still, you know, giving him magic, so
- 28:39Speaker 3: he's still able to do all this fun stuff, but
- 28:41Speaker 3: it comes with the little price and just completely completely
- 28:46Speaker 3: random things keep happening as a result of him continuing
- 28:49Speaker 3: to use magic. Somehow he squeaked by despite using a
- 28:52Speaker 3: lot of magic last session. But Oggie did have me
- 28:57Speaker 3: roll on the wild magic table and then didn't say
- 28:59Speaker 3: any thing, so who knows what that caused.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm so curious. I was thinking that
- 29:04Speaker 1: same thing. I'm like, he never told us.
- 29:06Speaker 3: What happened, No, he never did.
- 29:10Speaker 1: But it's fun.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Our roommate from the Roost of Nerds Diabeestes or the
- 29:14Speaker 5: Cybernetic Diabetic. He plays a barbarian and I play an
- 29:20Speaker 5: iron forged bard that.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Has like a music box in his chest. But it's
- 29:26Speaker 1: a lot of fun. So yeah, we'll have to do
- 29:28Speaker 1: a recap show. That'd be fun. It's how long. Other
- 29:32Speaker 1: than that for D and D.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Prior to that, we make dinner every time we do
- 29:35Speaker 5: this at Aaron's house, and this week we.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Made healthy pasta, So we had a whole week.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Pasta with a very nice freaking garlic herb and onion
- 29:47Speaker 5: vasta sauce and some freaking and.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Some meatballs and garlic bread. Fucking this was so good.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It was awesome. Man, I was like, really, it was
- 29:56Speaker 1: very good.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I was burping it up two days later. But it
- 29:58Speaker 3: was very good for healthy food.
- 30:01Speaker 1: It wasn't bad at all.
- 30:03Speaker 3: And for some reason, the after case just stuck around
- 30:06Speaker 3: way longer than I expected.
- 30:09Speaker 1: It's fair, but I'm happy with it, man, Like it worked.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I still enjoyed it. It was very good.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
- 30:16Speaker 5: After that, the only thing I had to talk about
- 30:19Speaker 5: is uh, we had the Odd Pods Media Network meeting
- 30:22Speaker 5: and we did bring on some new shows, so I
- 30:24Speaker 5: did want to mention them today on the Lunai the
- 30:27Speaker 5: Golden Girls podcast.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Nice.
- 30:30Speaker 1: We all know our buddies.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Aaron and Kristen f and Gina and Bad Jody are
- 30:37Speaker 5: all on there and freaking love them They're so much fun.
- 30:41Speaker 5: We also had suggested articles join us as.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Jeff and Jeff. They were part of our podcast play Yes.
- 30:53Speaker 5: They joined our network along with the Cricket Cricket Table Robert.
- 30:57Speaker 5: From there, he brought his production company over a well.
- 31:00Speaker 5: So they have all started the Oddpods Media Network this year.
- 31:04Speaker 5: So they just came in this last week and so
- 31:07Speaker 5: far it's looking like everybody's pretty happy and we're gonna
- 31:09Speaker 5: have a lot more shows on the network to spread around.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Under net.
- 31:13Speaker 5: That's all I've been doing, man, I've just been like
- 31:16Speaker 5: playing games, mostly with this fool, and trying to like
- 31:18Speaker 5: bake new things like cookies and such.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Fair enough, fair enough, thank you. Hey, guys, ready for
- 31:25Speaker 3: your second break?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Heck yeah, man, let's do it all right.
- 31:27Speaker 3: We're gonna take a second break. When we come back,
- 31:29Speaker 3: We're gonna find out what our guest has been up to. See.
- 31:32Speaker 3: It has been awfully quiet, and I'm interested to hear
- 31:34Speaker 3: what he's been banging around about fun things that have
- 31:38Speaker 3: been happening during his radio streams. I'm down for all
- 31:40Speaker 3: of it. We're gonna find out right after this.
- 31:52Speaker 8: I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent Raw.
- 31:54Speaker 3: I'm Devin aka Special Delivery dev.
- 31:57Speaker 8: We're the super Media Bros Podcast and each week we

- 32:10Speaker 8: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or anywhere else that you can listen
- 32:13Speaker 8: to podcasts shades on We're off.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for part three and
- 32:33Speaker 3: we've babbled on enough myself Stevian Augie, It's time to
- 32:38Speaker 3: dig into our friend here. We have a guest for
- 32:40Speaker 3: a reason. Cj ak dj Xanthis what's happening my man?
- 32:45Speaker 4: What's been up Babylon? I thought I was on bfy
- 32:48Speaker 4: t W. No, I'm so good to be back and
- 32:54Speaker 4: hanging out with you guys. And get as I said
- 32:56Speaker 4: at the top of the show, this is how I
- 32:57Speaker 4: don't lose bfy TW So I'm fine with this. And yeah,
- 33:02Speaker 4: I've just been doing a lot. I I so many
- 33:05Speaker 4: things to talk about. I'll try to keep it concise.
- 33:07Speaker 4: But because you all remember potuscu uh, yeah, I'm moving.
- 33:14Speaker 4: So I've been preparing for my move because I'm not
- 33:17Speaker 4: just moving down the street. I'm moving nine hundred miles
- 33:20Speaker 4: west to Missouri. Uh from New Jersey. So uh that's too.
- 33:26Speaker 4: A small little town called Saint Genevieve, So that'll be
- 33:29Speaker 4: uh interesting. Uh it's you can literally go from one
- 33:34Speaker 4: end of the town to the other in eight minutes
- 33:36Speaker 4: if you off light. Yeah, somall little town in the
- 33:41Speaker 4: middle of bum funck, Missouri. But I'm going. I'm going
- 33:45Speaker 4: for probably the best reason I could possibly think of,
- 33:48Speaker 4: and that is that I have found my person and
- 33:52Speaker 4: that's where she lives, and I have and spending the
- 33:57Speaker 4: rest of my life there and well, no, not there
- 33:59Speaker 4: because she's even like, no, I don't want to stay here, like,
- 34:03Speaker 4: all right, that's fine, but as long as good work together,
- 34:06Speaker 4: you know. So I've been preparing for that, and that's
- 34:10Speaker 4: that's when you make a move of that magnitude. It
- 34:13Speaker 4: has a lot of logistics that you need to work through,
- 34:18Speaker 4: you know, moving companies and new apartments and trying to
- 34:21Speaker 4: figure out a new apartment without actually being able to
- 34:23Speaker 4: see said new apartment is a trick, and so all
- 34:27Speaker 4: those things. And then I have to buy Thane the
- 34:30Speaker 4: audio book for my twelve hour drive out there, because
- 34:32Speaker 4: that's how I'm going to kill eight hours of it
- 34:35Speaker 4: at least is listening to Thane. Yeah, that person I
- 34:40Speaker 4: refer to Crystal. I also sent her a copy of
- 34:43Speaker 4: Thane for Christmas. That was a thank you to Aaron
- 34:46Speaker 4: again for that, and send me a picture of the
- 34:48Speaker 4: message you wrote in the book, which I thought was
- 34:51Speaker 4: hysterical and if I can, I will share it with
- 34:56Speaker 4: the rest of the world. If you don't care for it,
- 34:59Speaker 4: he it was a Christmas present, so basically he said, Crystal,
- 35:03Speaker 4: Merry Christmas. Hope you like the book. If you don't,
- 35:05Speaker 4: it's CJ's fault. That was, you know. Uh, Okay, And
- 35:11Speaker 4: I'm to report she's not done it just yet, but
- 35:14Speaker 4: she likes what she's read so far. So I you
- 35:17Speaker 4: wind and based on honestly basically you're describing about the
- 35:23Speaker 4: second book, I think she'll like that even more because
- 35:25Speaker 4: I feel like that's more in her her world of reading.
- 35:28Speaker 4: So I'm very for us both to have the second
- 35:31Speaker 4: copy or the second book when it comes out. So
- 35:33Speaker 4: that'll be that. Yeah. And uh, I've been I mean
- 35:37Speaker 4: doing the radio show, as you said everything, I had
- 35:39Speaker 4: to take a couple of weeks off like you, Aaron.
- 35:41Speaker 4: I got under the weather, I got the flu, and
- 35:43Speaker 4: I got this strand. I apparently didn't get the flu
- 35:45Speaker 4: shot for so lucky me, and it's still knocked me
- 35:50Speaker 4: on my ass. I'm still feeling the effects of it,
- 35:52Speaker 4: and I'm probably two weeks removed from it at this point.
- 35:56Speaker 4: But uh, from what I hear, it's going to linger
- 35:59Speaker 4: for another month. So I'm excited about that. Not really,
- 36:03Speaker 4: but and so I've been playing a lot of games
- 36:08Speaker 4: I've been catching into my backlog. Not only have I've
- 36:12Speaker 4: been backlog I'll get back that in a second, but
- 36:14Speaker 4: I've also been gaming with these three motherfuckers on playing
- 36:17Speaker 4: Rocket League on smoke stream. Honestly, some of the best
- 36:22Speaker 4: laughs I've had in years playing Rocket League with you guys.
- 36:28Speaker 4: There's one we did so for for those that haven't
- 36:31Speaker 4: been watching, we've been doing like random game modes when
- 36:34Speaker 4: we play, and there's one that we never got. I
- 36:36Speaker 4: don't know how we didn't find it yet by doing
- 36:39Speaker 4: because I've kind of been doing it randomly, just having
- 36:41Speaker 4: one of you y'all stop. There's actually because you remember,
- 36:45Speaker 4: there was the one that Aaron helped me out. Would
- 36:48Speaker 4: you would you describe the one that's kind of like
- 36:49Speaker 4: breakout where the ball hits the floor and eventually it
- 36:51Speaker 4: breaks away the floor and that's how you score. Breakout
- 36:54Speaker 4: would be the best.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, breakout. It's probably the best because it has
- 36:57Speaker 3: to hit multiple times for the for the floor. I
- 36:59Speaker 3: actually break away. Your cars can't go through it no
- 37:03Speaker 3: matter how many times you do. But after the ball
- 37:05Speaker 3: hits a section of the floor enough times, a hole
- 37:08Speaker 3: will open up. If the ball goes through on the
- 37:10Speaker 3: enemy side, you score point. It goes through on your side,
- 37:13Speaker 3: they score points.
- 37:14Speaker 4: So there's another one that's similar to that, except it's
- 37:18Speaker 4: got a hole in either end, and it's like basketball,
- 37:21Speaker 4: and it's meat there all the time, and you have.
- 37:24Speaker 3: So it's like it's like soccer, except the goals are
- 37:27Speaker 3: in the.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Floor, and as you know with some of the other modes,
- 37:31Speaker 4: the physics are all different. So the bounce on the
- 37:34Speaker 4: ball during this thing, because it's supposed to be like
- 37:37Speaker 4: a basketball, is insane.
- 37:39Speaker 3: So but like, that's fantastic.
- 37:44Speaker 4: I was playing that with another group of guys I
- 37:46Speaker 4: was hanging out with and the one guy literally launched
- 37:49Speaker 4: himself I don't know how, and came down and basically
- 37:53Speaker 4: came down on top of the ball while it was
- 37:55Speaker 4: in the air and slam dunked it into the into
- 37:57Speaker 4: the basket if you don't, and that's how we scored
- 38:00Speaker 4: a goal, one of the goals that we scored. So
- 38:02Speaker 4: but yeah, but I've been playing Rocket League with you three,
- 38:05Speaker 4: and man, like I said, it's been some of the
- 38:07Speaker 4: most fun I've had in a long time gaming. And
- 38:09Speaker 4: I don't like online gaming unless I'm with friends. So
- 38:12Speaker 4: I've had a lot of fun hang out with you guys.
- 38:15Speaker 4: But I also ripped through. I finally finished the Last
- 38:18Speaker 4: of Us part two. I'd been waiting. I kind of
- 38:21Speaker 4: stopped that and just sat on it. For those of
- 38:25Speaker 4: you're familiar with the game, when you switch over from
- 38:27Speaker 4: Ellie to Abby, I got angry that they switched me
- 38:30Speaker 4: to that character and I stopped playing. And that's why
- 38:33Speaker 4: it sat for as long as it did. Yeah, So
- 38:39Speaker 4: I did that. I played Ghost of Tsushima completely all
- 38:42Speaker 4: the way through. I finished that. I finished Sonic Frontiers
- 38:45Speaker 4: all the way through. I finished that one. I'm back
- 38:49Speaker 4: on Final Fantasy seven Rebirth, which is part two of
- 38:51Speaker 4: the seven remakes, so I think I'm almost done that. Uh,
- 38:55Speaker 4: and then you all reminded me I have Shadows Run
- 38:59Speaker 4: to do, so maybe I'll go back to that. I
- 39:01Speaker 4: don't know, but I'm burning through my backlog now and
- 39:04Speaker 4: it's it's been fun to kind of get back into
- 39:06Speaker 4: gaming that way because I haven't. I've been playing a
- 39:09Speaker 4: lot of like hockey, which I don't hate doing or
- 39:12Speaker 4: anything like that. But there's no like, there's no sense
- 39:16Speaker 4: of accomplishment. I guess, like you get with a like
- 39:19Speaker 4: a story based game.
- 39:20Speaker 1: You know, so it continues never ends, yeah.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Exactly, so you know you can win the cup so
- 39:27Speaker 4: many times, but then you start over again.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Like there's no real resolution, right.
- 39:31Speaker 4: Right, But yeah, the radio show has been going really well.
- 39:37Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, I've been loving jumping. I've been jumping
- 39:40Speaker 1: in there even when you're not around sometimes.
- 39:43Speaker 4: No, that's send people over and listen to radio areas
- 39:48Speaker 4: all the time. We're still looking. I've talked about it
- 39:51Speaker 4: on here before and I think I was supposed to
- 39:53Speaker 4: make you a commercial smoke and I fucking forgot to
- 39:55Speaker 4: be honest, but like, uh, we need uh we need
- 39:59Speaker 4: the over there right now, Like we are very short
- 40:02Speaker 4: on DJs right now. I think I think we have
- 40:05Speaker 4: currently four active DJs and when I joined the word
- 40:09Speaker 4: twelve of this so drop d and it's not for
- 40:15Speaker 4: like people, you know, people hear that, sometimes they automatically assume, well,
- 40:17Speaker 4: it's oh, well you know management or this that, and no,
- 40:20Speaker 4: it's just people's lives, the lives gotten away, real life
- 40:23Speaker 4: gotten away for a lot of a lot of us
- 40:25Speaker 4: and and nothing bad. And you know, I I one
- 40:31Speaker 4: of the things about doing something like this, and we
- 40:34Speaker 4: are we're all podcasters. Obviously I'm I'm without a show
- 40:36Speaker 4: right now, but unless I come hang out with you all.
- 40:40Speaker 4: But when when you when you start this, you start
- 40:46Speaker 4: really I mean, how many realistically, how many downloads did
- 40:49Speaker 4: the first BFY t W the first one, Yeah, the
- 40:53Speaker 4: very first one, I don't remember.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It wasn't a lot, obviously.
- 40:57Speaker 4: But that's kind of my that's kind of the point
- 40:59Speaker 4: of getting to start off with small numbers. Yeah, Like,
- 41:01Speaker 4: there were times when I started the radio show, despite
- 41:03Speaker 4: having my audience that I pulled with me from the podcast,
- 41:06Speaker 4: I still had like three listeners. And now I'm averaging
- 41:10Speaker 4: twenty to twenty five. And and that is I mean,
- 41:14Speaker 4: that doesn't sound like a lot, but in internet radio,
- 41:17Speaker 4: that's fucking huge, you know what I mean. So I'm
- 41:21Speaker 4: pretty excited. That's where I'm at, and the people are
- 41:24Speaker 4: coming in and tuning in and hanging out, and you
- 41:27Speaker 4: know that we can have fun in the chat rooms
- 41:30Speaker 4: and be silly and joke about it, Like Aaron's constantly
- 41:32Speaker 4: giving me a hard time about Rush and that crazy
- 41:37Speaker 4: ass long.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Listen that's the set's their second longest song, is it really?
- 41:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:44Speaker 3: Yeaham is not even as long as twenty one twelve?
- 41:47Speaker 4: I mean, come on, well yeah, yeah, yeah, true true,
- 41:50Speaker 4: you know, you know. And at the same time, know
- 41:53Speaker 4: what I'm really loving about, especially with the Random Request
- 41:57Speaker 4: Radio on Thursdays, is that things like exma do, I'm
- 42:01Speaker 4: really coming back around to artists and songs that I
- 42:04Speaker 4: either didn't give a fair chance to in my younger
- 42:06Speaker 4: years or just as I've gotten older, my tastes have changed,
- 42:11Speaker 4: so I'm enjoying things more than I like, Like I
- 42:14Speaker 4: used to not with all respect, and I did not
- 42:17Speaker 4: enjoy Getty Lee's voice at all for years.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Oh and me, it took me a while to get
- 42:23Speaker 3: used to it, but after a while I stopped seeing
- 42:26Speaker 3: it as a negative and just part of the well.
- 42:29Speaker 3: And that's kind of the experience of Rush and and and.
- 42:32Speaker 4: That's kind of where I'm at with it. And like honestly,
- 42:35Speaker 4: in my youngest year When I say youngest years, my
- 42:37Speaker 4: youngest years of like cognitively being able to choose my
- 42:40Speaker 4: own music. I thought it was a woman for because
- 42:44Speaker 4: I never seen I'd only heard the music. Yeah, And
- 42:49Speaker 4: then and then I was I forget where I was
- 42:52Speaker 4: and I saw something and they're like, here's Rush. I'm like,
- 42:54Speaker 4: where's the woman, the woman that sings in this band?
- 42:59Speaker 4: And it turns out it was not. It was getting King.
- 43:03Speaker 4: But yeah, but I'm coming around on stuff like that,
- 43:05Speaker 4: and I'm getting.
- 43:06Speaker 3: What's funny is that they have the one song that's
- 43:08Speaker 3: a camera what is called timestand still I think yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 3: And they have a guest vocalist. It's Amy Mann comes
- 43:14Speaker 3: on and sings with it. Oh wow, her voice is
- 43:16Speaker 3: deeper than his. That's awesome for realsies. If you listen
- 43:21Speaker 3: to that song, it's very obvious.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Speaking of guest vocals, I'm not trying to pivot too much,
- 43:26Speaker 4: but I think I should bring this up. I don't
- 43:27Speaker 4: know if you all heard, but Mary and Faithful passed
- 43:29Speaker 4: away on Thursday. I did hear that, And and Mary
- 43:33Speaker 4: and Faithful in a nutshell is a fucking renaissance person
- 43:38Speaker 4: like insanely renaissance. She was a Tony winning award winning actor.
- 43:43Speaker 4: She's got nominated for Grammys for the twenty two albums
- 43:47Speaker 4: she put out in her life, she'd been on over
- 43:50Speaker 4: two dozen TV shows and movies like she's just done
- 43:53Speaker 4: it all, but she's in my world. She's best known
- 43:56Speaker 4: for her vocal contributions to Metallica's The Memory Remains the
- 44:01Speaker 4: only person to ever put vocals onto a Metallica song
- 44:04Speaker 4: on recording besides James Headfield. Ever and so yeah, so
- 44:11Speaker 4: she she passed away and I played The Memory Remains
- 44:14Speaker 4: as part of my show on Thursday. Is a kind
- 44:16Speaker 4: of a nod to her to say, you know, thank you,
- 44:18Speaker 4: but uh uh yeah it But just I'm one of
- 44:22Speaker 4: the funny things that's happening with the show right now,
- 44:26Speaker 4: especially with the random request radio. Is that And she'll
- 44:29Speaker 4: love hearing this. So and Smoke you know you all
- 44:32Speaker 4: three of you know her, but Smoke you know her
- 44:34Speaker 4: the best, Jay Are our great friend down in Sydney.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Yeah when when I when I met Jay her, at
- 44:42Speaker 4: least what she would admit to me, her musical world
- 44:44Speaker 4: kind of hung out in the late mid to late eighties,
- 44:47Speaker 4: maybe early nineties and mainly in the pop realm right.
- 44:50Speaker 4: And then I started, even before I was doing the
- 44:52Speaker 4: radio show. I started saying, Hey, you should hear this,
- 44:54Speaker 4: and you should listen to this, and I would send
- 44:56Speaker 4: her songs and it started bringing her into other stuff.
- 44:59Speaker 4: And now through Random Request Radio, she's making requests to
- 45:03Speaker 4: me of ship I've never fucking heard of ever, And
- 45:06Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my god, this is amazing. She's introduced
- 45:09Speaker 4: me to like six bands over the last three months
- 45:12Speaker 4: that I've never heard of that are now in rotation
- 45:15Speaker 4: on my library and I'm like, where did this come from?
- 45:19Speaker 4: Like how did we get here? It flipped around like this?
- 45:22Speaker 4: But yeah, it's it's it's a lot. I've i so
- 45:27Speaker 4: much fun doing the show, and then now I'm doing
- 45:29Speaker 4: the games and I'm streaming with you guys from time
- 45:31Speaker 4: to time and getting ready for the movie. Yes, I've been,
- 45:34Speaker 4: I've been. I've been pulled in different directions. It's but
- 45:38Speaker 4: you having fun, man, you know what it's smoking. You've
- 45:42Speaker 4: know you, You know me a long time, Aggie and
- 45:44Speaker 4: Aaron almost as long. And I think I'm having the
- 45:47Speaker 4: most fun I've had in my life in in years,
- 45:50Speaker 4: I mean years.
- 45:52Speaker 1: It's good man deserve it ship.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and and I can I can't get too much
- 45:58Speaker 4: into the weeds on this, but I can tell you that.
- 46:01Speaker 4: And I'm very happy to say this. I want to
- 46:03Speaker 4: make that clear to And it kind of falls into
- 46:04Speaker 4: this whole happiness thing. The Rego and I reconnected after
- 46:08Speaker 4: three years of not talking to each other.
- 46:11Speaker 3: That's incredible.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Yeah, And.
- 46:15Speaker 4: You know, Potoskio unfortunately at this point has under ended unceremoniously,
- 46:20Speaker 4: but it is what it is. And you know, we
- 46:24Speaker 4: were able to kind of sit down and go through
- 46:27Speaker 4: some things. And I'm not going to get into this
- 46:28Speaker 4: specific so that's really for me and Rico. That's that's
- 46:31Speaker 4: our private thing. But we were able to go through
- 46:33Speaker 4: it and talk it through and really kind of bury
- 46:38Speaker 4: the hatchet with it because it was all stupid shit. Really.
- 46:42Speaker 4: I mean, and I say stupid, not because I'm putting
- 46:44Speaker 4: him down or anything like that, and because he heard
- 46:47Speaker 4: me say that on another show that I was on
- 46:49Speaker 4: and that came up in our conversation. It's the one
- 46:51Speaker 4: thing I'll share about our conversations, like we you said
- 46:53Speaker 4: it was stupid, I'm like, no, what was stupid? Was
- 46:55Speaker 4: the one incident the overall how you felt was not
- 46:59Speaker 4: stupid at all. We're good now, so he understands. But
- 47:01Speaker 4: when he heard that, he was a quite a minute.
- 47:03Speaker 4: That's stupid. But yeah, we're able to bury that hatchet
- 47:08Speaker 4: and we're talking again, and most importantly, our friendship is
- 47:11Speaker 4: kind of reblooming. And I don't know if we'll ever
- 47:14Speaker 4: be as close as we were before. I'm not saying
- 47:16Speaker 4: we can't be here, that it's impossible. It just it's
- 47:18Speaker 4: just too early to say. But and I think that's
- 47:22Speaker 4: what's most important, is getting that friendship back. I mean,
- 47:25Speaker 4: the show is what and I I think that it'll
- 47:29Speaker 4: stay the way to this, but getting the friendship back
- 47:31Speaker 4: is is that.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Kind way more important show like that.
- 47:36Speaker 4: And I thought about you smoke, and I don't know
- 47:38Speaker 4: how much you want to talk about it, but like
- 47:40Speaker 4: I know you and and and what happened with mister
- 47:43Speaker 4: b S and all that and original Ron you know,
- 47:45Speaker 4: and and I thought about you a lot during that
- 47:48Speaker 4: conversation I was having with Rico and and and all that,
- 47:51Speaker 4: and able to be I'm excited. You know what's funny
- 47:54Speaker 4: because and I'll peel back the curtain for the audience
- 47:57Speaker 4: and me being here today was not like land more
- 48:01Speaker 4: than like an hour and a half ago.
- 48:02Speaker 5: So I remember up at our fucking door and ship
- 48:07Speaker 5: man he's like, yo, you gotta past.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I need a podcast.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Yeah, well you go through withdraws man. If you don't
- 48:14Speaker 4: do it enough, it happens. But uh, but no, I
- 48:19Speaker 4: I was. I've been excited to come back and be
- 48:21Speaker 4: able to talk to you all about that because I
- 48:23Speaker 4: knew you guys have been our biggest supporters in the
- 48:26Speaker 4: industry from day one, you know, And uh, I hope
- 48:32Speaker 4: we've you know, I hope that feels mirrored back, you know,
- 48:35Speaker 4: I know it was. It was. It was a weird
- 48:38Speaker 4: beef at the very beginning. That was stupid and we're
- 48:40Speaker 4: just going to move on from but that, you know,
- 48:44Speaker 4: I do feel like that got squashed very quickly, and
- 48:46Speaker 4: that was so it was. It was really funny as
- 48:51Speaker 4: fun it was strange. I'm not quite sure, but I knew.
- 48:55Speaker 4: I knew it went too far. When you texted me
- 48:57Speaker 4: privately smoking, We're like, really like, all right, whatever, No, no, no,
- 49:03Speaker 4: you actually got upset about something I did and you
- 49:06Speaker 4: I won't get into the specifically text to me private
- 49:08Speaker 4: and you're like, dude, I think that might have been
- 49:10Speaker 4: a step too far.
- 49:12Speaker 5: Oh yeah, because I was like, I can let it go,
- 49:15Speaker 5: but then you're just gonna retaliate.
- 49:17Speaker 3: It's on you.
- 49:19Speaker 4: So we we we faked. We resolved that obviously because
- 49:21Speaker 4: we're here, and I was like five years ago at
- 49:23Speaker 4: this point, not longer, but yeah, so speaking five years ago,
- 49:27Speaker 4: I've been, I've been, I've been going through all the
- 49:29Speaker 4: Royal Rumbles because I'm watching. Yeah, well I watched every
- 49:33Speaker 4: Royal Rumble match up through twenty twenty. So far, we're
- 49:39Speaker 4: five years removed from COVID.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:42Speaker 4: Fun's mind fucking blowing to me. There were five years
- 49:47Speaker 4: removed from COVID at this point.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Well, I mean the beginning of COVID.
- 49:52Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:56Speaker 1: It's funny, like.
- 49:59Speaker 4: Just like how much the world was shut down for
- 50:03Speaker 4: what twenty four months and here we are back, and
- 50:08Speaker 4: I'm glad it were back. Don't get me wrong, like
- 50:09Speaker 4: I didn't want to continue living like we're in post
- 50:12Speaker 4: apocalyptic whatever, but like, just I think that, Aaron, you'll
- 50:18Speaker 4: appreciate this. I see this online all the time. People
- 50:20Speaker 4: like what people think a game system was twenty years
- 50:23Speaker 4: ago and it's like a super Nintendo and twenty years ago.
- 50:25Speaker 4: It's actually like PlayStation three, like you know what I mean, Like.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Jesus fuck now, yeah, I know. It's it's so weird
- 50:37Speaker 3: to think that technically the PlayStation three is retro now.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but like, yeah, it was about twenty years
- 50:45Speaker 3: ago that the PlayStation three came out.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Well, yeah, you know what we talked about the Red
- 50:50Speaker 4: Bank Show and what was my Do you remember my
- 50:52Speaker 4: topic was at Red Bank? Because I remember? Do you
- 50:54Speaker 4: remember what it was?
- 50:56Speaker 3: Your topic was? Ricos? Was Maffi of films? Yours? Back
- 51:01Speaker 3: to the future, that's right.
- 51:02Speaker 4: Yeah, if we did back to the future today, we'd
- 51:06Speaker 4: go to nineteen ninety four. If they if he went
- 51:11Speaker 4: back in time the same amount of time he went
- 51:13Speaker 4: back to find his parents, it would be nineteen ninety.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Four, nineteen ninety five. Well I'll get yeah, yeah, we
- 51:20Speaker 3: were to go from today's date. Yeah, nineteen ninety five. Yeah,
- 51:23Speaker 3: Jesus high school. Awesome.
- 51:27Speaker 4: I would have been a sophomore smoke at this point
- 51:30Speaker 4: in real life.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Yeah, figure, I.
- 51:33Speaker 4: Actually probably would have been my Well know that I
- 51:36Speaker 4: think his parents were seniors that year in the movie
- 51:38Speaker 4: where they see they never really said. I think they
- 51:40Speaker 4: were seniors though, yeah.
- 51:41Speaker 3: I think I think they were seniors just to avoid
- 51:44Speaker 3: any snaff who was about them not being eighteen or.
- 51:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's wild and crazy trying to think about that
- 51:54Speaker 3: because it's going to depress the ship out of no one.
- 51:59Speaker 4: Job. See everybody good to talk to you. I need
- 52:08Speaker 4: my list is checked off. But yeah, no, I'm just
- 52:14Speaker 4: I'm living my best life right now. And I say that,
- 52:17Speaker 4: Hell yeah, I say that kind of tongue in cheek
- 52:19Speaker 4: because I feel like there's always room to make that better.
- 52:21Speaker 4: Like I don't think there's ever like a peak, you know,
- 52:24Speaker 4: But I'm really, I'm really at a point where I'm
- 52:27Speaker 4: feeling despite all the stressful things going on around me,
- 52:31Speaker 4: I'm feeling at peace for the first time in a
- 52:32Speaker 4: long time. So that's kind of nice.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I have to agree. Like I'm not I'm
- 52:39Speaker 3: not a fan of the way things are going in
- 52:41Speaker 3: general for the world and for the country, but personally, like, personally,
- 52:46Speaker 3: I have nothing to complain about, Like I have. I
- 52:49Speaker 3: have a brand new truck. I absolutely love the thing.
- 52:51Speaker 4: And the last time I was on you would order
- 52:53Speaker 4: the truck, which I think is ironic.
- 52:56Speaker 3: Yeah, and I have it now and it's just it's fantastic,
- 53:00Speaker 3: and it's it's so smart. It's so much smarter than
- 53:02Speaker 3: I am, especially considering the fact that I only just
- 53:06Speaker 3: figured out a couple of days ago. Here's the thing
- 53:08Speaker 3: I was most bummed about about the truck was like, oh,
- 53:10Speaker 3: I thought my connecting my phone, I'd be able to
- 53:14Speaker 3: have the GPS right on the screen. And then I
- 53:17Speaker 3: learned only a couple days ago that I can make
- 53:20Speaker 3: that happen by actually plugging it into the phone. Yeah,
- 53:24Speaker 3: it doesn't do it over Book two. You have to
- 53:26Speaker 3: plug it in, and I just I just never realized.
- 53:28Speaker 3: So I've been driving around for months now, like using
- 53:31Speaker 3: the GPS on the phone screen itself, which is awkward.
- 53:34Speaker 3: There's no real place to put it.
- 53:36Speaker 4: So it's like, but it's so, let me ask you
- 53:38Speaker 4: a serious question.
- 53:39Speaker 3: But I'm like, I was, like, it's so much easier
- 53:41Speaker 3: now I can literally do I can run my podcasts
- 53:44Speaker 3: and run the GPS through the screen. Now, Like, why
- 53:47Speaker 3: did I not even try.
- 53:48Speaker 4: This serious serious questions for you? Because I had the
- 53:52Speaker 4: same thing with my when I got my new super
- 53:53Speaker 4: like figuring that out. I thought it would do the
- 53:55Speaker 4: same thing and I would play the audio of the
- 53:57Speaker 4: GPS through the blue tooths, but it wouldn't put the
- 54:00Speaker 4: map on the screen until you plugged it in. So
- 54:01Speaker 4: was it doing that at least like when we give
- 54:03Speaker 4: you the turn?
- 54:04Speaker 3: No, I had I had the audio turned off because
- 54:06Speaker 3: I just I don't want anything squawking at me in
- 54:09Speaker 3: the middle of my podcasts, like I can I can
- 54:12Speaker 3: see and read just fine. So yeah, I was like,
- 54:15Speaker 3: I've always turned that off. So you know, unless I
- 54:18Speaker 3: can get like Michael Kine to do the GPS directions,
- 54:21Speaker 3: then I might take it back on.
- 54:22Speaker 4: I had a GPS. I had a what was it
- 54:24Speaker 4: called Tom Tom's or I forget, but it was like
- 54:26Speaker 4: this GPS thing you would install in the car, like
- 54:29Speaker 4: it had to be installed, but you could download voices
- 54:33Speaker 4: to it. I had BABS and butthead giving me directions
- 54:36Speaker 4: for like nice.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Yeah, if I could get one, it would be either
- 54:41Speaker 3: like Michael Kine or Greg Davies just calling me names
- 54:44Speaker 3: as I failed to make you know turns and whatnot.
- 54:47Speaker 3: There you go just start screaming, no, no, you woffle
- 54:51Speaker 3: what are you doing?
- 54:54Speaker 4: I just would yell at you too. It was fun.
- 54:56Speaker 3: I just I just want the test. Mystery to yell
- 54:58Speaker 3: at me. It's all I want, That's all I want anyway. Yeah, No,
- 55:04Speaker 3: things are pretty good. Like, uh, I've been enjoying my
- 55:06Speaker 3: mini PC quite a bit. Uh oh, in the in
- 55:09Speaker 3: the few moments that I've been gaming, because I haven't
- 55:11Speaker 3: spent a lot of time gaming, But you know what
- 55:12Speaker 3: I've been getting back into and I think this might
- 55:14Speaker 3: surprise Aggie. Uh Starfield. Oh yeah, I know a lot
- 55:21Speaker 3: of people were disappointed and didn't really like it. I've
- 55:24Speaker 3: been having a ball with this game, just running around
- 55:27Speaker 3: and exploring, like there's so much to do, like it's ridiculous.
- 55:32Speaker 3: Like I mean, there's there's a lot of stuff I
- 55:33Speaker 3: don't care about, like outpost building and you know, all
- 55:36Speaker 3: that nonsense, and you know, building a little bit. Yeah,
- 55:42Speaker 3: it's it's like it's like a poor man no Man's sky.
- 55:45Speaker 3: No Man's Sky is much bigger there there is there's
- 55:48Speaker 3: legitimately so much more to do in No Man's Sky
- 55:52Speaker 3: than there is in Starfield. But I feel like Starfield
- 55:54Speaker 3: has enough. Like I think I beat the first time
- 55:57Speaker 3: I beat the game a couple of years ago.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Uh.
- 56:00Speaker 3: I had explored maybe a maybe a quarter, maybe a
- 56:03Speaker 3: fifth of the total Galaxy, and I still hadn't seen
- 56:07Speaker 3: like the rest of it the other eighty percent, Like
- 56:09Speaker 3: there was a lot I could have gone and done
- 56:11Speaker 3: before I beat that game, but I just, you know,
- 56:13Speaker 3: I was powered up to a point where I was like,
- 56:15Speaker 3: I'm just gonna defeat the final boss and cook through
- 56:18Speaker 3: the final ending fun smash it because these guys are punks. Now,
- 56:24Speaker 3: I just do a single headshot and they go down, Like,
- 56:26Speaker 3: all right, sold, can I.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Actually make a game? Suggest You just reminded me of
- 56:30Speaker 4: something that I didn't play through. So I I played
- 56:34Speaker 4: through Star Wars Outlaws, and I will tell you that
- 56:38Speaker 4: was way more fun than I think it ever deserved
- 56:41Speaker 4: to be. But hey, people talked about I don't know
- 56:46Speaker 4: what it is that people to play. And then Aaron again,
- 56:50Speaker 4: you follow this stuff closer than anybody I know. But
- 56:53Speaker 4: like with Ubisoft, people have glitch problems all the time.
- 56:57Speaker 4: I don't run into glitch problems with Ubisoft game. I
- 57:00Speaker 4: don't know why. Maybe I get lucky to get the
- 57:02Speaker 4: version that doesn't glitch. I don't know. But like for
- 57:07Speaker 4: an Ubisoft game to to license Star Wars and do
- 57:11Speaker 4: what they did with this game was so much fun,
- 57:14Speaker 4: and they tied it so much into the world like
- 57:16Speaker 4: they didn't just it's not a complete EU like and
- 57:21Speaker 4: and I went back and did my checking on this.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Like if you watch The Rise of Skywalker when they
- 57:28Speaker 4: go to Kijimi, which is the town where they kind
- 57:30Speaker 4: of reboot C three po spoiler if you've never seen
- 57:33Speaker 4: the movie, but like you.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Do, what's that smoke from twenty years ago?
- 57:39Speaker 4: Well, no, Rise of Skywalker's I don't think that long.
- 57:42Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah.
- 57:44Speaker 4: Sure, But go to and you have a whole series
- 57:47Speaker 4: of missions on Kajimi, and then you go and then
- 57:50Speaker 4: you have missions on Tattooing. But it's not in the
- 57:53Speaker 4: areas you would think in Tattooing, Like it's a whole
- 57:55Speaker 4: other side of the planet that that does exist in
- 57:58Speaker 4: already existing Star Wars lore. But it also operates like
- 58:03Speaker 4: Assassin's Creed. So if you like Assassin's Creed and you
- 58:06Speaker 4: like that that and it makes sense because the two
- 58:09Speaker 4: be soft but like it. It it runs like an
- 58:14Speaker 4: Assassin's game set in Star Wars and it's and I
- 58:17Speaker 4: couldn't have asked for better. I love Assassin's Creed, I
- 58:20Speaker 4: love Star Wars, and now I get to play Assassin's
- 58:22Speaker 4: creed in space, you know. But you also what made
- 58:25Speaker 4: me think of it is you also have a ship,
- 58:27Speaker 4: and you travel between these planets on a ship, and
- 58:30Speaker 4: there's space fighting if you want to do it, like
- 58:33Speaker 4: most of the space fighting side missions, but you can
- 58:35Speaker 4: do it. And and I I bought it on a
- 58:39Speaker 4: whim I was watching. I'll you know, tie it back
- 58:42Speaker 4: to what I was about earlier. I was watching a
- 58:44Speaker 4: WW event live when it was happening. But they do
- 58:47Speaker 4: commercials every so often, and since it's on Peacock, they
- 58:51Speaker 4: run the like same six commercials for the entirety of
- 58:54Speaker 4: the fucking event because it's not regular TV. So I
- 58:57Speaker 4: watched this Outlaws commercial like five times before the thing
- 59:01Speaker 4: was over and ran out and bought the game that day.
- 59:04Speaker 4: And I don't regret it worked, absolutely fucking work.
- 59:09Speaker 3: Advertising fucking works, keeping with the same thing over and over.
- 59:13Speaker 1: They'll get it eventually, but.
- 59:14Speaker 4: It ended up being worth every Like my buddy Rick,
- 59:18Speaker 4: go with the flow gaming has this theory and and
- 59:21Speaker 4: and I would love to hear if you guys agree
- 59:23Speaker 4: with this, that an average movie ticket is about fifteen
- 59:27Speaker 4: dollars right now, And now I know there's variations, but
- 59:29Speaker 4: fifteen dollars and the movie is about two hours long.
- 59:33Speaker 4: So he said, if you get if you buy a
- 59:36Speaker 4: game and you get that same ratio in entertainment out
- 59:40Speaker 4: of the game, then it's worth whatever you pay for
- 59:41Speaker 4: the game. I have almost two hundred hours into that game,
- 59:45Speaker 4: so it's seventy bucks. I got my money's work.
- 59:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, it's easy figure it out. It's like, okay,
- 59:50Speaker 5: is it really worth this on many hours you're gonna
- 59:52Speaker 5: put into it?
- 59:52Speaker 3: No, it's yeah.
- 59:53Speaker 4: I mean I'm on finally, Like I said, I'm doing
- 59:56Speaker 4: Fun of Fantasy right now. I've got like one hundred
- 59:59Speaker 4: and seventy hours into that one. Like it it's easy,
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: you know, so exactly.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Enjoyment is such a hard like thing to put a
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: financial number on, sure. Like, And there's this one game
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: called in Infernax. It's a two D site scrolling pixel art.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: It's like a it's like a tribute mash up between
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Castlevania and Zelda two, and it's it's so violent and
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: it's so funny. But you can beat the game in
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: about two two and a half hours. But I've played
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: that game through so many times, and you can you
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: can play it as so many different characters like your
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: standard dude is just a night with like a mace.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: But you can also play as a magician who fires
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: spells and has no armor. You can play as one
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: of the guys from Contra of all fucking things, Like
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: there's so many different you can play as a what
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: was it the ash for Evil Dead? There's so many
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: options of Like this game is so utterly replayable that
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: it the the fifteen dollars I spent on it were like,
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: like that doesn't even come close to how much enjoyment
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: I've won.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: I agree with you. I think replayability is really important
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: in the game.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Like, yeah, but I mean putting a putting a dollar
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: amount on length of game is something I've never agreed
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: with because you can always play it more than once.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: Yeah, but it depends on you if you enjoy it too.
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Yeah, as long as you're still having fun, that's what matters.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Is fun, and you can't really if.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: You can play sometime. I mean by length, it's like
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: how big the game is, how much.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Time into the game. Yeah yeah, yeah, exactly exactly like
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: I because I agree with you, Like I I've played
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: of the middle Gear series, I've replayed through middle Gear two.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: I couldn't tell you how many times.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Oh my god, you know. Yeah?
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: And then another one. Another one that comes to mind
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: immediately is Zelda Link to the Past. I've probably beat
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: that game a dozen times at this point in my life,
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: and I would go play it again right now if
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: I wanted to, Like you know, so.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Yeah, metal Gear is an interesting one because I've replayed
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: one countless times. I've replayed two countless times. Have you
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: even replayed metal Gear Solid four a couple of times?
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: I've only ever beaten metal Gear Solid three once.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: It's not you know what it is. I'm with you, Eron,
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: and I agree with you, and I think for me
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: what it was is the fact you have to like start.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: They treated that more like an RPG than the other
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: the other ones. I think in the sense like you
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: have to eat things and survive. And I'm not against RPGs,
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: but I don't want my Metal Gear to be an RPG.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: It's the same thing they do with the Assassin's Creed games,
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: except for Mirage, the most one of the more recent ones.
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: They're very RPG issue. You have to level up, and
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: you have to get level up, the armor and all
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: that type but I don't want that in an Assassin.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: I don't want that in that that game, like that
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: that franchise, And I feel the same way about Metal Gear.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: I'm with you now. I'm curious to see what they're
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: gonna do with Delta. You've you've heard of that, right.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: I haven't, Honestly, I've been kind of out of loop
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: on newer stuff.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: But Meddle Gear Solid Delta is basically a ground up
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: remake of three. Oh interesting, but it's going to it
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: and I don't know much beyond that, And but it's
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: based off three Snake Eater, so it's gonna be from
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: that era. But it's it's not like it's not like
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: where they remaster you and I know you know the
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: difference and where they remaster game and they give it
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: fancier graphics and maybe a few extra s features because
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: there's more buttons and there might have been in the
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: previous system or something like that. But like, no, this
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: is a ground up rebuild of Snake Eater, So I
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: am I am curious to see it. I think the
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: one and I haven't heard I haven't been able to confirm,
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: is that I'm gonna be annoyed if they get Keeper Sutherland,
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: they do the voice again, they need to get Yeah.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Yeah, David Haator is the one and only the original
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: accept accept no substitutions. And I'm not just saying that
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: because we had him on episode seven.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: Which, by the way, I'm still jealous beyond word weird.
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: So and I'm not going to say who because I
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: don't want throw anyone under the bus. I don't know
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: if they want me to mention, but we knew somebody
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: who knew David Hayter. When I say no David Hayter,
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: like they go out and have beers on a regular basis,
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: hang out David Hayter friend, but not get him on pots.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: You motherfucker's laying I'm on bfytw I'm like, what the fuck?
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Well, it just so happened. He was coming to UH
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: to a convention near me, and I was just I
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: just reached out and asked the guy. I was like, Hey,
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: you know we're I'm coming to this this con would
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: you be down for just doing a quick, like five
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: question interview? And he was like, yeah, sure, as long
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: as it's quick, I don't mind. And so yeah, and
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: I mean to make matters even better, like I paid
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: him for the privilege, Like I got into his signing
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: line and you know, the like paid like sixty bucks
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: to well.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: That's the thing that get his toe kind of got it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: It was like his it was for like his signature
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: and stuff, you know, but and a couple other things.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: But I was like, I don't want any of that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: I just want to get him, you know, on on
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: the podcast. So I recorded him with my phone of
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: all things, and it just worked.
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: The final The funny thing is we finally got him
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: to respond and he wanted his appearance fee, which we
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: couldn't afford. So it was just like fuck, Like no,
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: it wasn't as bad as Mark Hamil's, but I mean shit,
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: you know, because because Rego pestered Hamill to the point
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: that we got them to respond and give us his
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: appearance fee, and it was like, we won't spend that
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: in the next ten years on the show alone. Like no,
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: like that's not you know, so I won't say what
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: it was, but it was silly fucking money. So either
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: they gave us a fake number or that's really what
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: he charges. But god damn.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: Well, I mean he was it was just very kind
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: and you know, I'm glad he didn't ask for an appearance,
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: because I don't think we could have covered it either.
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: I know his His is not nearly as ridiculous, but
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: it definitely has a comment in it, I'll put that.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: Not surprised, I believe it anyway. Uh, we've been just
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Gavin because we've been having a great time.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: But yeah, sorry, guys, I should do this everywhere, but
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: we should.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: You should call it a show. I think we're good.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: I think we got plenty. So I'm just gonna thank
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: DJ's Antis for coming and hanging out with us. As always,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: it's always a pleasure, sir. Happy to have you any
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: time we're doing anything, from Rocket League to hanging out

- 1:07:36Speaker 4: but eron, I don't know if you've heard, but Smoke
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: has become my most challenging requester of all time because
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: he won't ever send it in a request in the
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: proper format, and he'll just say shit, like for a
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: Dragonball song, Yeah out what that means.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: He's obnoxious sometimes and it's like getting him to follow
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: any sort of rules is a nightmare.
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: But it's led to some interesting things, like the other
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: an idea asked for a dragon Ball song. I could
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: not find a dragon Ball song, but I found dragon
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: Force playing the power of the Try Force, and so
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: I played that for him, and so as an example
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: it doesn't to be.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: The flip side of that is that it doesn't take
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: a lot to make him happy. You know, as long
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: as you're close, he'll be pretty pleased with it, you know.
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: So I smoke, I'm always close.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: It's just the way he Yeah, as long as the
