- 0:00Speaker 1: Yoseidel Yasha Man, Nick Cannon aka Dresse Jackson, AK mister Popular,
- 0:05Speaker 1: ak Yo, Daddy's Daddy.
- 0:06Speaker 2: We're getting it in. This is the Bootleg keV Podcast.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Let's go. It's incredible.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Bootlet keV Show. A big special guest in here, big
- 0:21Speaker 3: inspiration of mine. One of the hardest working guys in entertainment,
- 0:26Speaker 3: he also has quite possibly the most impressive hit list
- 0:29Speaker 3: of all time. And here he go. Nick, I hit
- 0:33Speaker 3: it first, Cannon.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Dude, what's good man, I'll take the intro, I'll take it.
- 0:39Speaker 2: What's up, belove it?
- 0:40Speaker 3: You're good. I told you this because you call on
- 0:43Speaker 3: the show. I was like, I'm just glad you ain't
- 0:44Speaker 3: a powering the six anymore because now we can have
- 0:46Speaker 3: you on the show.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I know, man, but that's see I was talking a
- 0:49Speaker 2: big about that. It was always love.
- 0:51Speaker 3: It was always love.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But you know, like that's old mentality.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Like first of all, everybody owns all of their content
- 0:57Speaker 1: now everybody like so the people move like dinnahs.
- 1:00Speaker 2: So like this is our gang and that's your gag.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I agree with you. We gotta let that.
- 1:03Speaker 2: You gotta let that ship go.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Listen. I totally agree with you. The problem is is
- 1:07Speaker 3: that there are people who are in charge.
- 1:10Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. We can't be maneuvering like
- 1:12Speaker 1: well paid servants, you know what I mean.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Like you know there's like like my thing is, it's
- 1:16Speaker 3: like damn, like I fuck with like so many people
- 1:17Speaker 3: at Power one six.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But that was like, first of all, I never like
- 1:20Speaker 1: I didn't work for Power one six. I was with
- 1:23Speaker 1: partners with them.
- 1:24Speaker 3: So I heard did they give you a restaurant or
- 1:26Speaker 3: something like that?
- 1:27Speaker 2: A little we make some money, you know.
- 1:33Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying, like we got to stop
- 1:35Speaker 1: thinking like especially I encourage anybody who wants to get
- 1:37Speaker 1: into space of media entertainment, specifically podcasts and ready own
- 1:42Speaker 1: your ship. Because when you do that, then if your
- 1:45Speaker 1: boy got a podcast, I got a pocket, then we
- 1:47Speaker 1: can get money together. But this mentality of like this
- 1:50Speaker 1: is my station, that's your station.
- 1:51Speaker 3: That's when you don't own the radio stations.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that's always like you gang banging on blocks
- 1:56Speaker 2: your don't own.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yeah for sure, it's like you could wake up tomorrow
- 1:58Speaker 3: and the company can be like we're flipping.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you got to go get a job.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Over at the places and then doesn't even exist anymore, right, Yeah, so,
- 2:07Speaker 1: but that's why I was always love like it was
- 2:09Speaker 1: never like but I mean, like you said, the powers
- 2:11Speaker 1: that be, because some of them get still stuck in
- 2:12Speaker 1: that old school mentality of like the competition is how
- 2:15Speaker 1: we come on.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Man, we all can get numbers, we all can do.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I think, what is something you learned from? Because you've
- 2:21Speaker 3: done radio a lot. I don't think people understand you
- 2:24Speaker 3: were on moving to New York. You still have the
- 2:27Speaker 3: syndicated show with.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Always my syndicated show, my syndicated countdown a decade.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Right, You've been doing that for a long time. But then, like,
- 2:37Speaker 3: you know, what did what did you learn from the
- 2:40Speaker 3: Powerwin O six experience, because it obviously there was upstairs downs.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think again, like I always say,
- 2:47Speaker 1: like you got to move like a boss at the
- 2:49Speaker 1: end of the day, and even more so like a leader.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I mean, like we know what that brand means to
- 2:53Speaker 1: our community, to hip hop and.
- 2:55Speaker 3: So the legendary radio station.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So that was the whole purpose for me even being
- 2:58Speaker 1: over there, wanting to be like this. I was had
- 3:01Speaker 1: a daily talk show at the same time I had,
- 3:04Speaker 1: you know, mass singer whil'n out. So it was just
- 3:06Speaker 1: another outlet for that I felt like was a real
- 3:11Speaker 1: uh probably like fixture in the community that I could
- 3:15Speaker 1: really harness. And even at time there was times where
- 3:18Speaker 1: I was you know, they asked me if I wanted
- 3:19Speaker 1: to buy the station now once once we looked into it,
- 3:23Speaker 1: there's no point in, like, you know, it's probably overpriced. Yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you don't need to pay for dinosaurs, you know what
- 3:28Speaker 1: I mean when you can go create something of your own,
- 3:31Speaker 1: uh and invest the same amount of money and you
- 3:34Speaker 1: only one hundred percent uh and you don't have to
- 3:36Speaker 1: worry about you know, satellite towers.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And so they offered you to buy it. Yeah, oh wow,
- 3:41Speaker 3: what what did you could jellus? How much it was?
- 3:43Speaker 2: I mean it was six No, no, no, not that much.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Oh really it was less. Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just somewhere around around that area. So but
- 3:53Speaker 1: to say all of that, it's like, you know, even
- 3:55Speaker 1: the things like I've been able to you know, I'm
- 3:57Speaker 1: probably one of the few people in entertainment that I
- 3:59Speaker 1: was able to have deals at you know, NBC and
- 4:03Speaker 1: Universal and Fox and Viacom and all those places at
- 4:09Speaker 1: the same time.
- 4:10Speaker 3: It is kind of crazy yeah, I'm on every network. Yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 3: so give me your okay. So when you're doing mornings
- 4:17Speaker 3: and you have the TV show and you have mass Singer,
- 4:21Speaker 3: and you have wild'n Out and you have.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Don't forget my new number one show, Celebrity Prank Wars
- 4:26Speaker 1: with Kevin number one, and you have the biggest family
- 4:32Speaker 1: family know to man me NBA young boy.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, he just had number eleven. He had number eleven.
- 4:39Speaker 1: He might catch me because he started earlier than me.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I had no kids. I was thirty.
- 4:45Speaker 3: So what do you do in terms of like just scheduling,
- 4:49Speaker 3: making sure you don't go crazy, making sure you have
- 4:52Speaker 3: time for the kids, making sure you have time for yourself. Yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 3: I can't even imagine.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'll tell everybody it's like energy management. Man.
- 4:58Speaker 1: If you see me, I'm cool, calm, collected. I know
- 5:01Speaker 1: how to manage my energy probably better than most.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I'm not. I don't move off of emotion.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Or other people's energy because people think it's time management.
- 5:11Speaker 1: But time is, you know, a man made construct that
- 5:14Speaker 1: we all subscribe to. Like you can get enough of
- 5:17Speaker 1: that you can get, but it's having the right team
- 5:19Speaker 1: and knowing how to delegate your energy. Because I've been
- 5:23Speaker 1: in situations where I've overly stressed myself. I've been in
- 5:26Speaker 1: situations where there was literally too much on my plate
- 5:28Speaker 1: and people were just constantly pulling at me. But when
- 5:31Speaker 1: you know how to manage your energy, I think that
- 5:35Speaker 1: that allows you to do more than the average human being.
- 5:38Speaker 3: So it's about the key would be delegation.
- 5:40Speaker 2: A little bit of it, I mean, how to delegate them.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And also because we got some people who delegate in
- 5:45Speaker 1: a way that like it's stressful and it's toxic, but.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Like you just got to allow people.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You know people's strengths, you know people's weaknesses, you know
- 5:53Speaker 1: the ability to say I have this much to give,
- 5:56Speaker 1: then I gotta go recharge.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Right. And also so much like everything you do, you're
- 6:00Speaker 3: you're you have to be there.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, it's not like.
- 6:03Speaker 3: You're doing stuff you can do from the crib or
- 6:05Speaker 3: you can like do on a laptop. No, you have
- 6:07Speaker 3: to literally be in front of a camera.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 1: But like somebody asks me or tell me, like, man,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you don't have no free time. It's like all my
- 6:14Speaker 1: time is free times perspective, it's how you look at it.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Everything I do, I love it. So my vocation is
- 6:18Speaker 1: my vacation. So it's a situational where, like I would
- 6:22Speaker 1: a lot of stuff I get paid to do, I
- 6:23Speaker 1: would pay to do, you know what I'm saying. And
- 6:26Speaker 1: I think that's that's really the nature of what I
- 6:30Speaker 1: talk about, managing your band with your spiritual band, within
- 6:32Speaker 1: your energy because from that standpoint, we make time for
- 6:36Speaker 1: the things we want right and you know, as a father,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you got to make that a number one priority. But
- 6:41Speaker 1: then everything else is really just a big ass hobby.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Wild'n Out is season twenty.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah, we coming up on twenty right now.
- 6:49Speaker 3: It's crazy because I do feel like when we think
- 6:52Speaker 3: of like the most successful TV shows ever, I think
- 6:55Speaker 3: that like wild'n Out has surpassed so many of the
- 6:59Speaker 3: shows that we look back on and be like this,
- 7:01Speaker 3: Like I think sometimes it's almost like when Lebron's playing,
- 7:03Speaker 3: we don't realize we're watching Lebron. And I feel like,
- 7:06Speaker 3: one day when wild'n Out's over.
- 7:07Speaker 2: They're gonna appreciate it.
- 7:08Speaker 3: We're gonna be like, damn, wild Out was on for
- 7:11Speaker 3: X amount and was heat and there was all these
- 7:14Speaker 3: moments with all these fucking legendary artists, just so many
- 7:18Speaker 3: just memorable and the.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Fact that was dope about it because you bring up
- 7:21Speaker 1: a good point of like what the definition of what
- 7:23Speaker 1: a TV show is? We know, because that's our generation.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The kids today don't even understand it to be a
- 7:29Speaker 1: TV show. They understand it's like TikTok YouTube viral sensation.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Kids.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Kids used to come up to me and be like, oh, man,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I love your show. It's my favorite show. Now kids
- 7:40Speaker 1: come up to me like, man, I love your videos. Yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 1: I love I love you know, like they I love
- 7:44Speaker 1: the content, Like they literally say that. So it's like
- 7:47Speaker 1: nobody watches the big shit on the wall anymore. It's
- 7:50Speaker 1: like it's in their hands on the iPads. And we're
- 7:52Speaker 1: probably more successful online than we've ever been than we
- 7:56Speaker 1: were on television.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Well, the show is like very great for work. Today's
- 8:00Speaker 3: like environment.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Yeah, clips yep, the small we know how the compartmentalize
- 8:05Speaker 1: and break up those clips for you know, all day long.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And so one of the most I think we're.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Probably the biggest UH digital imprint in UH the whole
- 8:15Speaker 1: entire paramount network that includes Comedy Central, that includes b
- 8:19Speaker 1: T Yeah, wilding Out. And we have more followers on YouTube,
- 8:23Speaker 1: more followers on TikTok uh than anything else in the
- 8:27Speaker 1: paramount ecosystem.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So maybe the Daily Show might be like close on
- 8:31Speaker 2: one of those.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Can you give me some insight on like the beginning
- 8:35Speaker 3: of wilding out, like the break, like you're like, this
- 8:38Speaker 3: is your baby, this is your your you know your idea.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I was just really trying to give my
- 8:43Speaker 1: friends jobs. Like at the end of the day, like
- 8:46Speaker 1: people didn't know who Kevin Hart and A Crockett, d
- 8:49Speaker 1: Ray Davis.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Made a lot of these guys, they didn't.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I don't want that, but you helped shine, You helped
- 8:57Speaker 3: put them on the National Show.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And because actually they were all my
- 9:02Speaker 1: my colleagues and counterparts.
- 9:03Speaker 3: They were they were you were that.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I came up.
- 9:05Speaker 3: You were doing a little stand up at a certain
- 9:07Speaker 3: pointing time where I started, as you started in San
- 9:09Speaker 3: Diego doing stand up.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I started doing stand I mean I started, yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: I started in that spat. I started in music obviously
- 9:15Speaker 1: when I was even younger, but stand ups will put
- 9:17Speaker 1: me on the mat, got me my first deal at
- 9:19Speaker 1: Jamie Fox's Lallapalooza uh in Atlanta, and then from.
- 9:24Speaker 3: There by the way, willis Jamie Fox.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah, always I'm believing in one hundred percent complete healing.
- 9:30Speaker 2: That's my brother right there. We've been playing strong.
- 9:32Speaker 3: For I might need security. One of the best specials ever. Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 2: First of all, he's the most talented man on the planet.
- 9:39Speaker 3: One hundred say, I say it's either him or Chris Brown.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Those are the one and two.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Those are one and two and nobody else, because Chris
- 9:45Speaker 1: hasn't been able to spread his wings the way Fox has.
- 9:48Speaker 3: And I look at Chris is like, Chris is really
- 9:50Speaker 3: good at basketball. Yeah, and he can paint a mural yeah.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, fact like all the other think about, like Jamie
- 9:56Speaker 1: is amazing at football, stand up a classical piano impression
- 10:02Speaker 1: between the two and both.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Of them like the nicest human beings in the world.
- 10:05Speaker 2: So it's like it's you want to go to either
- 10:07Speaker 2: party at either one of those dudes out.
- 10:09Speaker 3: So for whiling out, you kind of come from the
- 10:12Speaker 3: stand up background. These are your friends, These are guys
- 10:14Speaker 3: who you consider your peers, and for you, it was like, what,
- 10:17Speaker 3: there's not an outlet.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Well, I was doing movies and music and stuff at
- 10:20Speaker 2: the time, so I left.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Them cost the thing was already on. You were you
- 10:22Speaker 3: were popping.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and those couchs looking at me like, yo, man,
- 10:26Speaker 1: spread the love. So I was like, all right, I'm
- 10:27Speaker 1: gonna go to the MTV because I was I was
- 10:29Speaker 1: hosting TRL doing all that stuff. So I went to
- 10:31Speaker 1: them and they didn't understand it at first. They was
- 10:34Speaker 1: like you want to do what? And I was like, nah,
- 10:36Speaker 1: we got this comedy club and we do this this.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Then it's like they ain't really understand it. So I
- 10:40Speaker 1: was like, all right, I rent the comedy club on myself,
- 10:43Speaker 1: got some cameras together, uh, called everybody to the club,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and we shot that ship. And therefore I owned the
- 10:49Speaker 1: IP since the day one.
- 10:51Speaker 3: So you bankrolled the demo, shot the demo yourself, facts,
- 10:55Speaker 3: and then shopped it around and.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Then then now I had. Now I had all of
- 10:58Speaker 2: the equity and the negotiating power.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Because how so for people who don't know, I think
- 11:03Speaker 3: a lot of people are a little bit more familiar
- 11:04Speaker 3: with like record deals.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah, So if you're trying to get a TV show deal,
- 11:08Speaker 3: usually a production company comes in with the money to
- 11:11Speaker 3: pay for the pilot, and that's their excuse to take
- 11:13Speaker 3: ownership exactly. But if you handle that yourself, then you
- 11:16Speaker 3: can at the table. I already got this handled. Yeah
- 11:18Speaker 3: you want it or not?
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah? And then that everything from the wild and Out
- 11:22Speaker 2: logo to all this it was all owned by me.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Was it a scary situation where they tried getting you
- 11:29Speaker 3: up out of here and it felt like they took
- 11:30Speaker 3: you off TV?
- 11:31Speaker 2: It was like it was got of cancel me like
- 11:33Speaker 2: at least once a year.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Well, I mean, no, I know, there was the time
- 11:36Speaker 3: I think it was a couple of years ago and
- 11:38Speaker 3: you had the interview. I forget, I don't even want
- 11:39Speaker 3: to get into this specific, but that's I mean, that
- 11:41Speaker 3: was a learning moment that you went through with everybody.
- 11:43Speaker 2: One percent, you know what I mean.
- 11:44Speaker 1: But that's the thing, Like moments like that either show
- 11:48Speaker 1: show your toughness and show how quickly you could fold.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So you know, I think Martin Luther King said it best,
- 11:54Speaker 1: is like the test of the true test of a
- 11:56Speaker 1: man's character isn't in times of comfort, but in times
- 11:58Speaker 1: of controversy. So that just showed you how solid I
- 12:02Speaker 1: was to every community to where where most people instantly
- 12:07Speaker 1: or they waiver, and where like I leaned into it
- 12:10Speaker 1: and then began to understand and really focus not only
- 12:15Speaker 1: on my business and saw who was riding with me
- 12:17Speaker 1: and who wasn't. But then at the same time, any
- 12:20Speaker 1: wrongdoings that I made, I corrected as every man should.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And I think we need to be more. I mean,
- 12:27Speaker 3: it's kind of crazy because we don't give a lot
- 12:29Speaker 3: of people that opportunity anymore.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and I mean I got another show that I'm
- 12:32Speaker 1: creating right now that I already created, that we already shot,
- 12:35Speaker 1: that'll be debuting pretty soon. But literally does what deals
- 12:38Speaker 1: with that? I mean, I coined the frame counsel culture.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It's not about cancel culture. It's counsel culture. Don't cancel
- 12:44Speaker 1: on another council one, and that to take your brother
- 12:46Speaker 1: and show them how to shake it up and how
- 12:47Speaker 1: to really get it right and give them an opportunity.
- 12:50Speaker 1: None of us are greater than God, and so we
- 12:52Speaker 1: should allow him to be the one to judge.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Yeah. I feel like in a time where like we're
- 12:56Speaker 3: so at least perceived, I think we have a lot
- 12:59Speaker 3: more in common than people would like to talk about.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah, they always said there's more.
- 13:03Speaker 3: There's likeilarities, they're differently small things that people are far
- 13:05Speaker 3: apart out. But everything else. Everyone loves their family, Everyone
- 13:09Speaker 3: wants to be safe. Everyone wants to be prospered. But
- 13:12Speaker 3: if you don't agree on this or this, it's like
- 13:14Speaker 3: you got to hate the other person.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And I think, yeah, and that's I mean a Buddhist
- 13:18Speaker 1: mentality is we are one without uh, one without none,
- 13:21Speaker 1: and none without one. So and that idea of like
- 13:24Speaker 1: we got we need each other to operate. And if
- 13:27Speaker 1: we keep allowing the powers that be to split us up.
- 13:29Speaker 3: It really feels like it is some powers to be
- 13:32Speaker 3: ship broa because.
- 13:33Speaker 1: That's how they control you. They control you, divide and conquer.
- 13:35Speaker 1: That's what they would really understand. Like again, like we
- 13:37Speaker 1: got more similarities and differences and the ship that we
- 13:40Speaker 1: bicker about. I mean, that's one of the things that
- 13:43Speaker 1: I say while I was the most progressive show on television,
- 13:46Speaker 1: because we can have people from two different walks of life.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We can have someone from the Jewish community something from
- 13:50Speaker 1: the Ransom community.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And they go at it and hug it out at
- 13:53Speaker 2: the end.
- 13:53Speaker 1: We can have a homophobic person and a transgender person
- 13:57Speaker 1: go at it and hug it out at the end.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Because but they talk the most shit, say the most
- 14:00Speaker 1: stereotypical offensive stuff. But when you say it's up all
- 14:03Speaker 1: the guides of family and comedy and humor, we win.
- 14:08Speaker 1: So but when you allow that stuff to be rooted
- 14:10Speaker 1: and hate and therefore you think you better than somebody
- 14:13Speaker 1: else because of your life experience trice versas, that's where
- 14:15Speaker 1: shit goes wrong.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah. I think it's like people will talk out of
- 14:19Speaker 3: like people will make mistakes, and I think that's just
- 14:22Speaker 3: human nature. So if someone makes a mistake that's not
- 14:25Speaker 3: from a hateful place exactly, talk to them.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why they put the racist on pencils. It's
- 14:30Speaker 1: like it's like, yo, fuck with earthlings.
- 14:35Speaker 3: So the new show that you're working on is called
- 14:37Speaker 3: it's called Council Culture.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you getting exclusive here because I actually
- 14:42Speaker 1: it wasn't supposed to talk about that yet.
- 14:44Speaker 3: But yeah, that's.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It's something I kind of realized, man that when I
- 14:48Speaker 1: was doing my daytime talk shows, like this ain't where
- 14:50Speaker 1: the bag is, you know what I mean? All of
- 14:52Speaker 1: that Llen money and Oprah money, they came and scooped
- 14:55Speaker 1: all of that up.
- 14:56Speaker 3: So like they kind of got the last of that.
- 14:57Speaker 1: But yeah, so I went in there, I was like, this,
- 15:00Speaker 1: no way that this makes sense to make.
- 15:02Speaker 2: It takes sixteen hours to make one hour and.
- 15:05Speaker 3: The bandwidth of doing it every day, like.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It was trying to do radio, Like it was literally
- 15:09Speaker 1: draining me. So I had to step away. So I
- 15:11Speaker 1: was like, I want to be able to do the
- 15:12Speaker 1: same thing, have the same type of impact, but you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: consolidated and.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Do all episodes of season or something.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but really, what even even though on a daily perspective,
- 15:21Speaker 1: it's like it has to be able to be a
- 15:24Speaker 1: part of my lifestyle opposed to me trying to come
- 15:26Speaker 1: here and show up for work, like I don't work
- 15:28Speaker 1: for nobody, So.
- 15:29Speaker 2: It's like, if it feels like I got a job,
- 15:31Speaker 2: then I'm out.
- 15:33Speaker 1: But the fact that I can actually live my life
- 15:37Speaker 1: and document the process and show the process and actually
- 15:40Speaker 1: truly help people, and you know, the fact that I
- 15:42Speaker 1: go to therapy a few times a week, how can
- 15:44Speaker 1: I bring that to the table. The fact that you know,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I have great relationships with the mothers and my children,
- 15:49Speaker 1: and knowing how fascinated intrigue people are by my life,
- 15:54Speaker 1: how can I offer that in a way to not
- 15:57Speaker 1: only I can be open and honest and control my
- 15:59Speaker 1: own narrative, but then at the same time, you know,
- 16:01Speaker 1: monetize it for.
- 16:02Speaker 3: You talk about like you are. Listen, twelve children, Yes,
- 16:10Speaker 3: twelve kids.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Obviously you're and counting something they say and counting. Nah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I think I'm good with my dirty dozen right now.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Let me ask you something. Do you ever regret not
- 16:21Speaker 3: getting Kim Kardashian pregnant?
- 16:24Speaker 2: You try to go viral?
- 16:25Speaker 3: I'm just asking. I'm just asking because I look back
- 16:28Speaker 3: at your history, and I'm like, man, if there was
- 16:30Speaker 3: ever anyone that you could have put one up a
- 16:32Speaker 3: bun in the oven, it could have been a billionaire,
- 16:35Speaker 3: you know what.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I believe that would alone. I'm tired of going viral
- 16:42Speaker 1: every week. They already got mad at me about what
- 16:44Speaker 1: I said about Taylor Swift. Oh you did say christ
- 16:48Speaker 1: so I know that's now he says he's gonna get
- 16:51Speaker 1: Kim Kardashian.
- 16:52Speaker 3: He regrets because how would were Howard was kimming? You dated?
- 16:55Speaker 2: We were both like in the mid twenties.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Was this post Love Don't Cost a Thing?
- 16:59Speaker 2: Or just right after Love Don't such a classic?
- 17:02Speaker 3: Fucking just like a great movie.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Mah man, it's fun. We're back.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I've been I stepped away from from I kind of
- 17:10Speaker 1: make like one movie a year that I own and
- 17:12Speaker 1: control but I think I'm gonna dive back into movies
- 17:14Speaker 1: in a little bit, like probably in the next five
- 17:16Speaker 1: years and kind of get back to that space of
- 17:19Speaker 1: like making classic content for our community.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Have you thought about like they're like the lack of
- 17:25Speaker 3: good comedies and it's crazy like done, I think cancel culture, yeah,
- 17:29Speaker 3: or just over sensitizing.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Just we lost all our r rated comedies that made
- 17:35Speaker 1: it good comedy. Yeah, Hangup was great.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, there's like since since some Hangover. Yeah, Girls, Trip
- 17:43Speaker 3: and Bride'smaids are the only two.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and those are I don't I don't where
- 17:47Speaker 1: those I guess those where those are rated comedies.
- 17:50Speaker 3: But like it's been twelve years since we've gotten like
- 17:53Speaker 3: a classic hardcore comedy. Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 1: No, I'm even in the sense of, like you said,
- 17:58Speaker 1: to just stuff that even that you know you can
- 18:00Speaker 1: sit around and watch it the family too, Like we
- 18:02Speaker 1: don't have none of those like family film, we don't
- 18:05Speaker 1: have it. We're our forest gumps where you know, like
- 18:07Speaker 1: where's the stuff like that?
- 18:08Speaker 3: Everything's like Marvel or yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Like Billy Madison or water Boy like that. Shit.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I remember water Boy opening eighty million dollars this first week,
- 18:17Speaker 1: you know, what I mean, Like.
- 18:18Speaker 3: You know, it's it's kind of crazy because I always think,
- 18:20Speaker 3: like I'm like someone rich enough hello, uh needs to
- 18:23Speaker 3: come along and just be like fuck it.
- 18:25Speaker 2: You gotta focus on it though.
- 18:27Speaker 1: That's the thing that to make a good movie, you
- 18:29Speaker 1: gotta focus on that shit. Like one, it takes the money,
- 18:33Speaker 1: but then it also you got to make sure your
- 18:35Speaker 1: marketing is together on the post and even like you
- 18:37Speaker 1: can't make a good movie without having a great script.
- 18:40Speaker 1: So it's like it's stuff like that that you just
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's like I've done independent films really well too. But
- 18:48Speaker 1: then because you can make the greatest independent film in
- 18:50Speaker 1: the world, but if it don't reach the amount of people,
- 18:52Speaker 1: then nobody ever really really know except for the festivals
- 18:55Speaker 1: that gave you, you know, your little laurels and crests.
- 18:58Speaker 1: So if you to do a great classic film, you
- 19:02Speaker 1: gotta check the boxes from development all the way to
- 19:04Speaker 1: it's actually in the theaters. So it takes it. It
- 19:08Speaker 1: takes to trust me. People ask me all the time
- 19:10Speaker 1: and you should do more movies. It's like that's the
- 19:12Speaker 1: most time consumer ship out there.
- 19:15Speaker 2: It's to make a good movie.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Good movie you could put you could put some Hood
- 19:18Speaker 3: classic TV ship.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it shouts out to toob I fuck with them heavy,
- 19:21Speaker 1: but he's running it up.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 1: But but if you if you want to make some
- 19:25Speaker 1: classic ship, if you want to make minutes of society.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Boards in the hood drum line. I love don't cost
- 19:31Speaker 2: the thing.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I mean like I think, you know, probably for the
- 19:34Speaker 1: culture that they did it the right way. I love
- 19:37Speaker 1: with what Mike b is doing from you know, I
- 19:39Speaker 1: feel like creed to go down classics.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I feel like Black Panther go down as classics.
- 19:45Speaker 1: But anything else for the culture ain't resonated except for
- 19:48Speaker 1: like those those Jordans.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Obviously Jordan Peele's putting out some crazy Yeah, but would
- 19:52Speaker 3: you horror movie? Yeah? With that? Is that?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Are we are we gonna be talking about? I'm just
- 19:56Speaker 1: a question, like I think get out absolutely out for
- 19:59Speaker 1: sure out I'm not sure us or.
- 20:01Speaker 2: What's the the other one?
- 20:03Speaker 3: Fuck? It just came out, yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I mean yeah, like, but no offense.
- 20:08Speaker 1: But I'm like, because you only can and what time
- 20:11Speaker 1: will tell as well, you know what I mean? Like
- 20:13Speaker 1: like people, people didn't really start fucking with love don't
- 20:16Speaker 1: cross the thing heavy into back then it was out
- 20:18Speaker 1: on home video.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I mean it. They're decent in the in the theaters.
- 20:21Speaker 1: But then once it was constantly playing that your Auntie
- 20:24Speaker 1: and your Mama's House all the time, then it became
- 20:26Speaker 1: a classic. So you know, maybe these films that we're
- 20:29Speaker 1: talking about today, but I'm saying the ones that feel like,
- 20:31Speaker 1: you know, we talked about, we talking about Love Jones,
- 20:33Speaker 1: we talk about do the right.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Thing, We talk about the wood boys in the hood.
- 20:38Speaker 1: There's none of that ship it's crazy or people try,
- 20:41Speaker 1: but they come short.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Every time I've come short, you know.
- 20:44Speaker 1: But it was like, damn, you know why because the
- 20:46Speaker 1: studio didn't like I made a film called that everybody
- 20:48Speaker 1: it's a hood classic like school Dance, but everybody was talking.
- 20:51Speaker 3: About is that the one James is in?
- 20:53Speaker 1: James Jefferson, Yeah, yeah, but everybody was talking like when
- 20:55Speaker 1: we was making it, they was like, oh, this is
- 20:57Speaker 1: like the next Friday, because yeah, Pete Day saying, Tiffany Hattish,
- 21:01Speaker 1: Kat Williams, George Lopez, Mike Epps, Kevin Hart, little Duvaut
- 21:07Speaker 1: like now we had everybody in this motherfucker and it's
- 21:11Speaker 1: hilarious if you watch it. But because Lionsgate didn't market
- 21:14Speaker 1: it correctly and they didn't.
- 21:16Speaker 2: They did, They didn't really know what they had. They
- 21:17Speaker 2: just threw that ship out there.
- 21:19Speaker 1: So it's like you got it going, I say, from
- 21:21Speaker 1: the script to the time, like it's fucking in the
- 21:24Speaker 1: theaters and like the marketing, all of everything gotta be pristine.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Would you ever try to develop like a scripted like
- 21:31Speaker 3: drama or comedy or something like.
- 21:32Speaker 1: We got some shit, we got some shit coming, Like
- 21:34Speaker 1: I got it. I got it pretty like I said,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I got deals at all of these difference.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Instead of like I do feel like we don't get
- 21:40Speaker 3: it in movies anymore, but we do get it in shows. Yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 3: we do, and that's old false fire. There's some great
- 21:45Speaker 3: comedy shows.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So I got We've been developing for a while and
- 21:49Speaker 1: I just you know, I like making more moves and
- 21:52Speaker 1: less announcements. But I can I can tell you about
- 21:54Speaker 1: the ship that we've been cooking up and spending money on.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Is a me E forty and too short, got yay
- 22:00Speaker 1: area project? Is that the one Simpson?
- 22:02Speaker 2: Uh no, no, not that one.
- 22:03Speaker 3: That one's fire like that playing too short?
- 22:06Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I heard about it.
- 22:07Speaker 1: No, I'm talking about this is like a series that
- 22:09Speaker 1: the three of us are producing. That's gonna be like
- 22:12Speaker 1: the same way that you see the BMF, the Powers,
- 22:17Speaker 1: the Wise.
- 22:17Speaker 3: A home for you or you just trying to put
- 22:19Speaker 3: it together and then try some things.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I can't talk about right now, but you're fifty cents
- 22:23Speaker 1: leaving stars.
- 22:23Speaker 3: They could use you.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Na hey, that's good business over there.
- 22:27Speaker 1: But I mean, like, I do have a few deal
- 22:29Speaker 1: set up around town that allow me to do scripted things,
- 22:32Speaker 1: so we excited about it.
- 22:33Speaker 3: I do feel like what I appreciated about your YouTube
- 22:36Speaker 3: show it was Cannon's Class right, Yeah, yeah, I feel
- 22:39Speaker 3: like you were doing like a lot of dope, like
- 22:42Speaker 3: necessary interviews conversations, and they've kind of gone away.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Well see we launched the Canyons Class again.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I actually kind of never went away, but now even
- 22:53Speaker 1: on a bigger level again because now I was doing
- 22:56Speaker 1: that before. Podcasting was the thing to do and it
- 22:58Speaker 1: was really part of our college career Leman Howard University.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Now, I just love the YouTube channel. I remember when
- 23:03Speaker 3: we were one. Yeah, you had some dope episode.
- 23:07Speaker 1: We back on that too, We definitely, and you'll start
- 23:09Speaker 1: seeing that stuff roll back out. It was just I
- 23:12Speaker 1: had to get I had to get everything a line
- 23:14Speaker 1: because I do have so many shows that I wanted
- 23:16Speaker 1: people to recognize and and respect what the content was
- 23:19Speaker 1: coming from.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Okay, your schedule on December twenty fifth every year? What
- 23:27Speaker 3: are we doing?
- 23:27Speaker 2: I'm saint nick baby?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Are we bringing everyone to the same crib?
- 23:30Speaker 2: I think I always said I was saying this.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I think that only benefits me, you know what I mean,
- 23:34Speaker 1: because then everybody has to come to me, And I
- 23:36Speaker 1: think that's pretty selfish.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Kids, you got twenty four hours in a day on Christmas.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Just the half Latino ones get Christmas Eve because that's
- 23:43Speaker 3: their day.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Well, you know what they're to your point, you're joking,
- 23:47Speaker 1: that's the truth, because Abby and her kids.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Bag they celebrate Christmas on the twenty four See you
- 23:54Speaker 2: know how this works? Like, yeah, exactly.
- 23:57Speaker 1: No. To be honest, though, it is really about I
- 24:00Speaker 1: mean not just it just happened, even agetting with Easter.
- 24:01Speaker 1: It's like, you know, you don't you don't necessarily have
- 24:06Speaker 1: to operate based off of the social construct that everybody
- 24:09Speaker 1: else is subscribed to. So we make sure that we
- 24:13Speaker 1: celebrate Christmas however long we want to celebrate Christmas. I
- 24:17Speaker 1: mean not that late, but I mean like it's a
- 24:19Speaker 1: it's could be the twenty second. Yeah, you know, they
- 24:21Speaker 1: always wonder how Santa Claus can deliver all those presents
- 24:24Speaker 1: to still get home to Missus Clauses by the morning.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So it's we move around and I'm I'm festive like that.
- 24:30Speaker 1: As much as holidays, the pagan holidays don't matter to me.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I love what it does for children, So I'm always
- 24:36Speaker 1: dressing up. And Chris, it ain't Christmas Day, It's Christmas week,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you know in my house a week.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it used to be a week. Yeah, like we're.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Throwing Easter egg hunts all week long when it's Easter time.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I mean, all the moms and kids live in Cali.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Besides Mariah, she lives in Cali too. Oy. Yeah, I
- 24:51Speaker 3: mean she got property every.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Special, but that's usually it is.
- 24:57Speaker 1: You know, we got we got houses on the and
- 25:00Speaker 1: the west coast, so we everybody's.
- 25:02Speaker 3: The newer children are all in Cali.
- 25:04Speaker 1: U currently, I tell you, I got calabasses on lot.
- 25:08Speaker 1: You just canabasas cannon basses.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Everyone's over there.

- 31:16Speaker 3: are are your kids mom's friends at all?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Uh?
- 31:21Speaker 1: I never like to generalize because or they or are
- 31:24Speaker 1: they at least cordial friend like they don't like the
- 31:26Speaker 1: ones who like they? I leave that up to them
- 31:29Speaker 1: in the narratives in which they share every No, like
- 31:32Speaker 1: everybody is like nurturing and loving and respectful enough that
- 31:38Speaker 1: they understand what's going on. So nobody got any problems
- 31:41Speaker 1: or any negativity. Like we fly on a higher frequency
- 31:44Speaker 1: than that. So like, but i't, you know, don't expect
- 31:47Speaker 1: everybody to be hanging out together.
- 31:48Speaker 3: But it's like, listen, I'm just trying to figure because
- 31:51Speaker 3: I've seen a lot of these cults are coldon cult
- 31:53Speaker 3: Netflix documentaries recently.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Are the cannon cults?
- 31:56Speaker 1: Is the cannon cults of thing you must wear a
- 31:58Speaker 1: turbine and bears a term seven.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Let's have at least one base.
- 32:01Speaker 2: To operate against the Circadian clock.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Nah Man, I think it's it's just I mean, obviously
- 32:08Speaker 1: I'm probably just more open and honest about my very
- 32:11Speaker 1: very transparent about I think look at look at you know,
- 32:15Speaker 1: everybody from the Bob Marley's to the Muhammad A. L's
- 32:17Speaker 1: to the you know, Quincy Joneses of the world. All
- 32:21Speaker 1: of these great men have are fathers of many and right.
- 32:24Speaker 3: But I do think what you did was you did
- 32:27Speaker 3: it all at once.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Hey man, the clock is ticket.
- 32:31Speaker 3: It felt like it was so crazy because like, we
- 32:33Speaker 3: do a nationally syndicated radio show every day and I
- 32:38Speaker 3: couldn't talk about you on the show because our biggest
- 32:41Speaker 3: affiliate was Real ninety two three power six.
- 32:44Speaker 2: And did they literally tell you don't talk about it.
- 32:46Speaker 3: I just you know, just shoutut to doc. I ain't
- 32:49Speaker 3: fucking with doctors. Of course he is.
- 32:51Speaker 2: But our kids was playing together when we competition, so
- 32:55Speaker 2: it was.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Be crazy because me and James would be like, fuck,
- 32:58Speaker 3: Nick's having another. I felt like every six weeks there
- 33:03Speaker 3: was just a new I think it's it's it's you know,
- 33:07Speaker 3: because all the kids are going to be pretty.
- 33:09Speaker 1: So it's gonna be an interesting upbringing. I mean, I'm
- 33:11Speaker 1: pretty sure there will be some challenges, but I think
- 33:13Speaker 1: there'll be some beautiful things.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Come Gradua. Put them all in the same school.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm hoping, I mean, in the same area. It all depends,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But you know, even some
- 33:21Speaker 1: of my kids right now, at home school. So it's like, well,
- 33:24Speaker 1: we'll figure all of that stuff, but what what will
- 33:25Speaker 1: school be in ten years? If you want to be
- 33:28Speaker 1: honest with it, you know, based off of the way
- 33:29Speaker 1: the world is going. So I think, you know, a
- 33:32Speaker 1: lot of my kids right now are active in extracurricular
- 33:35Speaker 1: activities and sports and stuff, so that probably might become
- 33:39Speaker 1: challenging to where you know, they're definitely going to try
- 33:41Speaker 1: to make a certain simular games on certain days now,
- 33:45Speaker 1: you know, baseball, basketball, and track overlap, you know what
- 33:49Speaker 1: I mean. So even sometimes they can't even make it
- 33:51Speaker 1: to their own games. So it's like it's always going
- 33:53Speaker 1: to be something.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I've only been married once tomorrow, Yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Yeah, only will be married once. It's only going to
- 33:58Speaker 2: happen once.
- 33:59Speaker 3: So when all this starts first happening, right, does Mariah
- 34:02Speaker 3: call you be like what the fuck are you doing? Broh?
- 34:05Speaker 1: Not really we have that type of like type of conversation,
- 34:08Speaker 1: but she's a little bit more understanding. She's kind of
- 34:10Speaker 1: be like, I see you out there making waves, Like
- 34:12Speaker 1: she kind of comes from it more from that perspective.
- 34:14Speaker 1: But there was no I think only sometimes maybe when
- 34:19Speaker 1: things in the media get misconstrued or people make up
- 34:22Speaker 1: stuff like you.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Got to clear it up?
- 34:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I got, we got We talk every day, so
- 34:26Speaker 1: it be like yo, like it was some wild ship
- 34:28Speaker 1: of like saying that we were having like a custody
- 34:30Speaker 1: battle or something. I saw that, and it's like I
- 34:32Speaker 1: was like, we just was at dinner yesterday. You ain't
- 34:35Speaker 1: telling me, you know. But it's like once we kind
- 34:37Speaker 1: of do away with all the rumors, because people do
- 34:39Speaker 1: like to start rumors and operating that low frequency, but
- 34:42Speaker 1: we all we all be on the same phase.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Do you still have the tattoo? Did you cover it up?
- 34:45Speaker 2: I added to it. Shall we say it's my whole?
- 34:49Speaker 2: That was my only tattoo at one time? Now I remember.
- 34:53Speaker 3: I remember I was like this this guy's outside, Yeah
- 34:56Speaker 3: he got the whole.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Mariah Carriers damn right, our game I or nothing that
- 35:00Speaker 1: she gave by Ryan Carrey was.
- 35:02Speaker 3: My as a small child. She was like my first crush.
- 35:06Speaker 3: So when I saw it, I was like shot out
- 35:07Speaker 3: to Nick man it was Brian Jlo And actually my
- 35:10Speaker 3: boy ended up being with Jlo Casper. Smart.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Look at these young tin cools out here in these.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Street getting it together. Man. How I want to talk
- 35:20Speaker 3: about because I don't feel like you get enough credit
- 35:22Speaker 3: in terms of your ear for talent on the music side.
- 35:26Speaker 3: A girl like Kailani somebody who was signed with you initially,
- 35:30Speaker 3: her was signed when she was eleven to you too
- 35:33Speaker 3: incredible you have like a.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Now she went in Oscars and Grammys and stuff, shouts
- 35:39Speaker 1: out the young Gabby.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah. How like for you? Like, why do you think
- 35:44Speaker 3: you get enough credit?
- 35:45Speaker 1: Man?
- 35:45Speaker 3: When it comes to the music shit? Because I feel
- 35:47Speaker 3: like I think I feel like people obviously listen, you've
- 35:50Speaker 3: put out some dope records, but I also feel like
- 35:52Speaker 3: people don't really take you serious as an as an
- 35:55Speaker 3: artist ever tried to push it well also because I
- 35:57Speaker 3: feel like we just see you as.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Doing so many things, and like I came up in
- 36:01Speaker 1: a time where you couldn't do more than one thing,
- 36:03Speaker 1: so I had your pick and choose. So I chose,
- 36:05Speaker 1: you know, you know, comedy and movies and shit, but
- 36:11Speaker 1: so you couldn't do both when I was young.
- 36:13Speaker 2: But what's dope is that I was a DJ and.
- 36:17Speaker 1: A producer, like all through high school, so I didn't
- 36:19Speaker 1: really I never wanted to be in front of the camera.
- 36:22Speaker 1: So throughout my career I've written and produced records that
- 36:27Speaker 1: I got platinum records all day long. But it's just
- 36:29Speaker 1: like I never was like, this is me looking and
- 36:32Speaker 1: paying attention to me even when it came to the
- 36:33Speaker 1: artistry stuff. I never was really on that. So what
- 36:36Speaker 1: I've done now, just because obviously the spotlight is hot,
- 36:39Speaker 1: I created a new show for BT called Future Superstars
- 36:44Speaker 1: and it's a tour as well.
- 36:45Speaker 3: So so you just were on tour with us, all
- 36:48Speaker 3: of them.
- 36:49Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 36:49Speaker 1: So the fact that now the television show will show
- 36:53Speaker 1: that journey. They will show you know, me as a
- 36:56Speaker 1: music man and show me in the space of talent
- 36:58Speaker 1: discovery or show me me as a producer and all
- 37:01Speaker 1: of that type of stuff. So I'm excited about that
- 37:04Speaker 1: that wave of my career because it.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Has I haven't talked about it.
- 37:08Speaker 1: It has been the afterthought a lot of times, even
- 37:11Speaker 1: though I've been doing you know, I make all the
- 37:13Speaker 1: music on wild'n Out, you know what I mean, Like
- 37:16Speaker 1: I it's a I'm a musician's musician. So that's where
- 37:20Speaker 1: like the fact that you know I could play drums, piano, guitar,
- 37:24Speaker 1: all of that stuff, I've never really been like, oh well,
- 37:26Speaker 1: look out, well I rhyme these words together.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Shouts out to everybody who does that.
- 37:30Speaker 1: But that was never like my main focus because I
- 37:33Speaker 1: was more about creating movements and creating opportunities. So I'm
- 37:37Speaker 1: glad now that I get the opportunity to kind of
- 37:40Speaker 1: take that side of my career.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Seriously, when you have like someone like her, you sign
- 37:44Speaker 3: her as a kid, sign her as a kid or Kaylanie?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Was she signed you before she was eighteen? Yeah?
- 37:50Speaker 2: Yeah, she was right before she finished high school.
- 37:53Speaker 3: What was the name of the group that went on
- 37:54Speaker 3: tour with Tech nine psych Woord Druggies that kid passed away?
- 37:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Ryan ba address is soul Man.
- 38:01Speaker 3: That was my man, super But do you like, like
- 38:05Speaker 3: you let them out of their deals that the deals
- 38:07Speaker 3: run their course.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I'm not even one of them dudes, Like everybody else
- 38:11Speaker 1: around me wants me to be one of those dudes,
- 38:12Speaker 1: Like take the credited sign on it, you need your
- 38:15Speaker 1: logo on it. I'm like, look, give me the credit
- 38:17Speaker 1: when you want to give me the credit.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Right.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Other than that, it's cool, Like I'm a handshake type
- 38:20Speaker 1: of person. I don't want nothing from you except to
- 38:23Speaker 1: see you win. So that's a rare thing in this game.
- 38:26Speaker 1: But it's like I always tell the artists that I
- 38:28Speaker 1: rock with, Look, I'm gonna be rich whether you make
- 38:30Speaker 1: it or not.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Like, so I don't need like those ideas.
- 38:33Speaker 1: It is like I don't need anything from you, Like
- 38:36Speaker 1: I'm cool help you out.
- 38:37Speaker 2: So all I want to let me help you. I'll
- 38:38Speaker 2: give you advice and see how you run.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But you know, obviously a lot of people think that
- 38:43Speaker 1: you know, I should, I should be taking percentages and
- 38:45Speaker 1: doing all of that. So usually I only ask for
- 38:48Speaker 1: you know, ask back for the money that I put
- 38:50Speaker 1: in if you're if you're stable enough to do that.
- 38:52Speaker 2: But I don't even ask.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I mean, you know, these major labels still owe me,
- 38:55Speaker 1: owe me checks for you know, the artists that I
- 38:58Speaker 1: kindly just gave them. So but I just I did
- 39:01Speaker 1: that because I wanted to see those artists when and
- 39:03Speaker 1: didn't want them to get into a deal in debt.
- 39:06Speaker 2: So I can always step away.
- 39:07Speaker 1: But you know those big record execs, you know, you
- 39:10Speaker 1: know who you owe.
- 39:12Speaker 3: You some money?
- 39:13Speaker 1: Absolutely yes for her, and I mean if they look
- 39:20Speaker 1: up the paperwork. But I mean I'm good with all
- 39:22Speaker 1: of those people just based off of the But I definitely,
- 39:25Speaker 1: like I said, I never wanted anything from them, right, Like,
- 39:28Speaker 1: I always wanted them to succeed, And even the arrangements
- 39:31Speaker 1: that we made with various management and various record labels,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I was like, yo, I'll be I'll step back now
- 39:39Speaker 1: that I know they're in good hands. You know, I'm
- 39:42Speaker 1: off to the next thing, because I really don't want
- 39:44Speaker 1: anything from anybody. But when those major systems who make
- 39:47Speaker 1: hundreds of millions of dollars off.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Of these artists, like, yeah, let me get my investment back.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, at least give me the money that
- 39:54Speaker 1: I spent to bring them to you.
- 39:56Speaker 2: So, you know, but again I ain't that's small paper count.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Was there anyone who you almost signed that it got
- 40:03Speaker 3: right to the finish line? But for whatever, Yeah, a couple.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Of people like Becky G.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I remember Becky g early on, you know she was
- 40:10Speaker 1: she was like a little fourteen year old girl rapping.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so many people.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I mean, because I used to run Teen Island at death,
- 40:22Speaker 1: jam l A. Reed put me a charge of all
- 40:24Speaker 1: of the teen acts and you know, obviously the it was.
- 40:28Speaker 1: It was a cool roster. It was a group I
- 40:30Speaker 1: created called the school Girls. Artist named Aaron Fresh, who
- 40:34Speaker 1: was super dope, and we had an arsenal of artists
- 40:38Speaker 1: and I was making I was putting them all in.
- 40:39Speaker 1: The Gabby was a part of that as well. We
- 40:41Speaker 1: put them all on in these Nickelodeon movies that we
- 40:43Speaker 1: were making. And the first the star at the time
- 40:47Speaker 1: and the one that obviously the biggest act on Teen
- 40:49Speaker 1: Island he just was bubbling up the internet was this
- 40:52Speaker 1: young kid named Justin Bieber who.
- 40:56Speaker 2: The rest is history.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Really, the whole Teen Island budget just folded then went
- 41:00Speaker 1: into Beaver's career and it's the Justin Bieber that we
- 41:03Speaker 1: know to this day.
- 41:04Speaker 3: So was that prior to him linking with Usher It
- 41:08Speaker 3: was during.
- 41:08Speaker 1: The same time, same time that feel like it was,
- 41:10Speaker 1: like I said, te he got the deal in the building,
- 41:13Speaker 1: but as you you know.
- 41:14Speaker 3: They upstreamed him quick.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Yeah, So like.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I think the Nickelodeon movie that we put on, it
- 41:20Speaker 1: was Justin's first thing ever on television, so in the
- 41:24Speaker 1: first movie and stuff that he had ever did, because
- 41:26Speaker 1: before then he was just this dope little kid from
- 41:29Speaker 1: YouTube that they were about to put out a record
- 41:31Speaker 1: and all that, and so I was like, yo, he
- 41:33Speaker 1: about to go and then he he he went.
- 41:37Speaker 3: He went, can you give for people who are watching
- 41:41Speaker 3: this who want to get involved in making original content,
- 41:43Speaker 3: or maybe they want to try to figure out how
- 41:45Speaker 3: to get an idea they have for a TV show
- 41:48Speaker 3: going or something like that, but maybe they might not
- 41:50Speaker 3: necessarily have the relationships, the resources, whatever it is, what
- 41:53Speaker 3: would be some advice you would give them?
- 41:55Speaker 1: Don't stop, I mean to think about like everybody and
- 42:00Speaker 1: do all of this literally from their phone. That's even
- 42:03Speaker 1: one of the reasons why I'm excited about launching a
- 42:06Speaker 1: daily canning because it's like it's literally from your phone
- 42:08Speaker 1: if need be, Like the fact you can make millions
- 42:10Speaker 1: of dollars from your phone, so there's no more excuses.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Back in the day, I used to have to shoot
- 42:15Speaker 1: pilots and rent cameras and stay all of that stuff
- 42:17Speaker 1: to just to get my ideas out. Now you can
- 42:20Speaker 1: do the same level of content from your phone. Like
- 42:23Speaker 1: if you listen to DC Young Fly story man he
- 42:26Speaker 1: was he didn't even have a phone. He had to
- 42:28Speaker 1: steal somebody's phone and make the content to you know,
- 42:31Speaker 1: now do is a millionaire in a household name, So
- 42:34Speaker 1: it's like there are no excuses. You could do it
- 42:36Speaker 1: from the trap you could do it from your projects.
- 42:38Speaker 3: You could get you know, the homie WATSOI Kwan. He's like, dude,
- 42:41Speaker 3: I do everything on my phone. Everything you see is
- 42:44Speaker 3: edited on my iPhone. These are the two apps I use.
- 42:46Speaker 3: There's no excuse.
- 42:48Speaker 2: You know that was somebody you know, I saw his movement.
- 42:51Speaker 1: We gave him opportunity on wild'n Out, So it's like
- 42:53Speaker 1: there's no excuses out there. Talk about the new radio
- 42:56Speaker 1: show Daily Canning. Man, it's a new platform. It's on
- 42:59Speaker 1: a Yeah Yeah, yeah so, which is owned by Amazon,
- 43:03Speaker 1: so we over there cooking.
- 43:06Speaker 2: But it's like it's beauty.
- 43:07Speaker 1: It's reinventing radio and kind of bringing social media and
- 43:09Speaker 1: podcasting all into the same form. So it's dope because
- 43:13Speaker 1: in the same way, like I'm always I remember when
- 43:15Speaker 1: Twitter first popped off, I remember when TikTok was musically
- 43:18Speaker 1: I was in there, and like, I feel like, I
- 43:20Speaker 1: feel like the same buzz is going on now with
- 43:25Speaker 1: these ideas of like community and we've seen it pop
- 43:28Speaker 1: with Clubhouse, but I feel like AMP is even taken
- 43:31Speaker 1: to another level because now you're allowed to have your
- 43:33Speaker 1: own show and your own content and your own brand,
- 43:37Speaker 1: and they're empowering you like, through the system of Amazon,
- 43:39Speaker 1: so you know, it's no more talking at people as
- 43:42Speaker 1: talking with people. So everybody can have a show, everybody
- 43:44Speaker 1: can have listeners. So that's how we rocking, you know,
- 43:47Speaker 1: Monday through Friday, six am to nine am.
- 43:49Speaker 3: So you're doing that Monday through Friday, six to nine
- 43:51Speaker 3: live live, what the fuck? And this is with Abby?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she's gonna be on there too. Shout out
- 43:57Speaker 1: to Abby DJ Abby de la Rossa.
- 43:59Speaker 3: She's playing music. Yeah, oh so she's playing music your hosting.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she's part of the show too, but you
- 44:04Speaker 1: got to have her talk with that rat voice.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, she's up, but she she runs it.
- 44:08Speaker 1: She's the musical director as well, so she's she's getting
- 44:12Speaker 1: it in.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Shout out to Abby for people who don't know, you're
- 44:15Speaker 3: to your kids she had twins, Yeah yeah, yeah. She
- 44:19Speaker 3: she been on radio for a long time.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Started she was a star before before the cannon.
- 44:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not like you were like yo.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah, she she's a master in this space. If anything,
- 44:31Speaker 1: I need her more than she needs me in this space.
- 44:33Speaker 3: So that's six to nine wilding out. Then the new
- 44:36Speaker 3: show with Kevin Hart where you're you're pretty much. It's
- 44:38Speaker 3: kind of like filling a space that has been vacated
- 44:42Speaker 3: for a very long time. Because back in the day
- 44:44Speaker 3: we had punked.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Yeah before that candy camera, uh, celebrity bloopers and practical
- 44:50Speaker 1: jokes and all that stuff. But now we just did it.
- 44:52Speaker 1: You know, everybody knows me. And ever since we got money,
- 44:54Speaker 1: we started playing pranks on each other, right uh, and
- 44:57Speaker 1: you know that's what rich friends do to each other.
- 45:00Speaker 1: So we wanted to be like, Yo, we could, we
- 45:02Speaker 1: should turn this into a TV show and let the
- 45:04Speaker 1: world in on it, because I mean, we were doing
- 45:06Speaker 1: it through social media already, but now it's a number
- 45:08Speaker 1: one show on e Yo.
- 45:10Speaker 3: You mentioned you being rich. You have all the money.
- 45:14Speaker 3: You don't leave no money for nobody else.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Now I'm at this stage my life where I'm trying
- 45:18Speaker 1: to get everybody else. It's lonely at the top, baby, like,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I want my friends to be rich too. So that's
- 45:23Speaker 1: always been the concept. So now I'm at the stage
- 45:25Speaker 1: it ain't. I don't care about making.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Money no more.
- 45:27Speaker 3: I want I want some financial friends. Financial literary literacy
- 45:31Speaker 3: advice from Nick Cannon, Yes, give me, give me a
- 45:33Speaker 3: few gems, some tax listen I have lots.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Of babies, and instead of giving them the money, create
- 45:38Speaker 1: trust in their name. So by the time the eighteen
- 45:41Speaker 1: year old their CEOs of their own company and it
- 45:43Speaker 1: could be whatever the company they want to be.
- 45:45Speaker 2: And you finance it. So now you birth the business.
- 45:48Speaker 3: And also, isn't there some sort of like account that
- 45:51Speaker 3: you can put a certain amount of money in for
- 45:53Speaker 3: each kid? That's an account, it's a tax ran off
- 45:56Speaker 3: every year.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Well that don't fuck with irs. We ain't trying to
- 45:59Speaker 1: get no tax, right. I give all my money to
- 46:01Speaker 1: where it's.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Supposed to be.
- 46:02Speaker 1: You pay taxes, yeah, absolutely, but no, but see what
- 46:05Speaker 1: it is. You got to understand you got to have
- 46:07Speaker 1: your tax money make money. But we'll get into that
- 46:09Speaker 1: another conversation. But I'll give the government everything they ask for.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Your tax money make money.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Yes, so you again, I give the government everything they
- 46:19Speaker 1: ask for.
- 46:20Speaker 3: I'm just really I get out of it, like Nick,
- 46:22Speaker 3: I'm sorry, listen, Nick, I'm sarting to do pretty good
- 46:24Speaker 3: right now. I really just need some advice not to
- 46:26Speaker 3: pay I.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Mean honestly that that's don't ever play with the I
- 46:29Speaker 1: r s oh, I'm not trying to No, fuck that, Okay,
- 46:34Speaker 1: because that's where they go. You see that the biggest
- 46:36Speaker 1: gangsters in the world what they imprisoned.
- 46:38Speaker 3: For tax evasion exactly. So shout out to Wesley Snipe.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Do not play like give them the money that they
- 46:45Speaker 1: ask for, but learn how to how to get your
- 46:47Speaker 1: money and operate and give them everything that they need.
- 46:50Speaker 1: But there's ways to actually if you're a wise business man,
- 46:53Speaker 1: you got good business man.
- 46:54Speaker 3: There's like there's stuff in the tax school you can
- 46:56Speaker 3: take advantage of it.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but see like I make and not to get
- 46:58Speaker 1: it to like I make so much money that like
- 47:01Speaker 1: all of that that that concept of oh or tax
- 47:03Speaker 1: write offs, that's only for when you when you're in
- 47:06Speaker 1: a certain level, when you make more, when you pay
- 47:08Speaker 1: more in taxes than most people make in a lifetime.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Just you always hear how like Jeff Bezos doesn't pay
- 47:14Speaker 3: taxes stuff.
- 47:15Speaker 1: But that's actually that Yeah, that's not what they're So
- 47:17Speaker 1: what they're saying is there's infrastructure set up.
- 47:19Speaker 2: I'll give you a perfect.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Example, like and that's it was probably gonna get a
- 47:23Speaker 1: little too deep. But when you get into like the
- 47:25Speaker 1: world of like lobbyists, in the world of like even
- 47:28Speaker 1: nonprofits in that sense, to where there's levels you can
- 47:32Speaker 1: give an abundant amount of money to things that you
- 47:35Speaker 1: really care.
- 47:35Speaker 3: About, and and and that you'd rather do that than
- 47:38Speaker 3: give it to the I R. S or And that's legal.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's you can give you can you can have
- 47:44Speaker 1: charitable philanthropic efforts where you can give hundreds of millions
- 47:47Speaker 1: of dollars.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Away to education, to childcare too. Uh.
- 47:52Speaker 3: And you would rather do that than give it to you?
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah, because and and you're saying that's not you're saying, hey, government,
- 47:57Speaker 1: let me do what you're doing, right, You know what
- 47:59Speaker 1: I mean?
- 48:00Speaker 3: It looks like you would rather spend your tax money
- 48:02Speaker 3: on stuff that you care about exactly. So what lobbyist
- 48:07Speaker 3: is Nick Cannon? What are we lobbying for? Nick?
- 48:09Speaker 2: Well? See, that's where you know, I feel.
- 48:11Speaker 3: Like nobody knows where you are on the political spectacs.
- 48:14Speaker 2: And that's how it should Yeah, that's how it should be,
- 48:17Speaker 2: Nick Cannon.
- 48:18Speaker 3: You're like in a enigma.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I let you know. I'll let them live how
- 48:21Speaker 2: they want to live.
- 48:23Speaker 3: Yo. Did you ever regret bringing all the wilding out
- 48:26Speaker 3: boys into your beef with Eminem?
- 48:28Speaker 2: No? That was amazing.
- 48:30Speaker 3: You had you dragged all these guys, and now all
- 48:32Speaker 3: these toxic mountain dude drinking cargo, short wearing mfs.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Hey, hey, your attention is my currency, baby, keep it going.
- 48:41Speaker 1: All of those guys are a lot more popular now
- 48:44Speaker 1: and than they were before they started. And that was
- 48:46Speaker 1: I mean, that was all again, that was all the media.
- 48:49Speaker 1: That was just trying to get people to watch Wilding Out.
- 48:51Speaker 1: You shot a music video for that, Oh, we shot several. Yeah,
- 48:54Speaker 1: we were on the set of Wilding Out. But the
- 48:56Speaker 1: logos is all in the back.
- 48:58Speaker 3: Do you think MGK be Eminem in their battle? What?
- 49:02Speaker 2: What? It depends on beat?
- 49:04Speaker 3: I think I think he won.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I won.
- 49:08Speaker 3: I don't agree with I don't. I don't agree.
- 49:11Speaker 1: If somebody picks a fight but doesn't show up to
- 49:13Speaker 1: the fight.
- 49:16Speaker 3: I don't think he would.
- 49:18Speaker 2: So so who won? How did he win.
- 49:21Speaker 3: By not responding?
- 49:22Speaker 2: He did respond? First of all, I responded to him.
- 49:24Speaker 3: He start talking ship first.
- 49:26Speaker 2: He was on Fat Joe's record talking all.
- 49:28Speaker 1: How many years and see, but that's the thing everybody thinks.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I don't I love Eminem. He started sucking with me
- 49:35Speaker 2: and then right off like a little bitch like so you.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Think his Eminem didn't reply to your record.
- 49:40Speaker 2: He did not know he started. He started making records
- 49:43Speaker 2: about me.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Said on the Fat Joe record, He's.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Like, I don't know, something like a lot of ship.
- 49:48Speaker 1: And I was like, I went on. I was like,
- 49:50Speaker 1: why are you fucking with me? Like and I know,
- 49:53Speaker 1: like for it was some shit. He says he's gonna
- 49:55Speaker 1: cut my dick off of some weird ship like that,
- 49:57Speaker 1: like and I was like.
- 49:59Speaker 2: Huh, like that was years ago.
- 50:00Speaker 3: So then you replied.
- 50:01Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, let's have some fun. And
- 50:03Speaker 1: I had a great fucking time. He got sug on
- 50:06Speaker 1: the record.
- 50:06Speaker 3: It was he was licked shooting on the song. It's
- 50:10Speaker 3: from jam he made the record just called in like
- 50:15Speaker 3: fucking back in the day, who was that rapper from
- 50:18Speaker 3: Sacramento X rated?
- 50:21Speaker 1: No, but I think it was off of Sport. I
- 50:23Speaker 1: mean I love him, I mean I love I mean
- 50:26Speaker 1: even so.
- 50:27Speaker 3: You think you won the battle absolutely like we're talking
- 50:29Speaker 3: for the sport.
- 50:30Speaker 2: He didn't respond.
- 50:33Speaker 3: I don't think he needed to.
- 50:35Speaker 2: He started it.
- 50:36Speaker 1: See you wanted you wanted the mother Mountain do motherfuckers
- 50:39Speaker 1: on Twitter was the greatest.
- 50:42Speaker 3: While I'm sitting here drinking a fucking energy drink, one.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Of those guys. I didn't. First of all, I didn't.
- 50:49Speaker 2: I would love it if.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I mean he responded with a tweet and all that,
- 50:52Speaker 1: because that became the narrative. Because if you remember how
- 50:54Speaker 1: the narrative, I smashed him over the head, people like, oh, ship,
- 50:57Speaker 1: this ship is hot. Then I gotta look. No, absolutely,
- 51:00Speaker 1: I smashed him over the head. Then I came again
- 51:03Speaker 1: and they were like, that's when I brought you know,
- 51:05Speaker 1: the Black Squad and all the battle Rappers.
- 51:07Speaker 2: And then I'm like, this is a little too much.
- 51:08Speaker 2: They're beating them now, you guys are bullying him.
- 51:10Speaker 1: That was the thing. And then and then when I
- 51:13Speaker 1: did no, that's what they said. They said we were
- 51:15Speaker 1: bullying him. He was like, it's three on one. You
- 51:17Speaker 1: had to go get.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Battle rap what I said.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Yeah, Then the third time I started bringing race into it.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Now that's why I went too far. I should have
- 51:25Speaker 1: Then it just looked like I was I did too much.
- 51:27Speaker 1: I should have stopped at the second record.
- 51:29Speaker 3: You should have put Benzino on a song. I was, hey,
- 51:31Speaker 3: that was that everlast just pulled all his fucking.
- 51:34Speaker 2: But we all know Eminem is the goat and like
- 51:36Speaker 2: he's one of them. Yeah, he can.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Yeah, he's definitely, you know, top five. But I think
- 51:42Speaker 1: Drake is coming for a spot though, Like that's that's s.
- 51:44Speaker 3: I mean, there's an argument you made Drake, because it's
- 51:46Speaker 3: all about numbers, Drake might have passed him and them.
- 51:49Speaker 2: So then him might not have a fifth spot.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Eminem is a better rapper, though, what is what is
- 51:54Speaker 1: your definition of better?
- 51:55Speaker 2: I mean Eminem is.
- 51:56Speaker 3: A better word smith. Lyrics, he's better.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I don't all about lyricist, well, I mean we've definitely
- 52:03Speaker 1: we've heard lower and storyteller.
- 52:05Speaker 3: We have heard Drake reference tracks.
- 52:08Speaker 1: But see, I don't want to get into that, because
- 52:10Speaker 1: Drake is a better songmaker than the majority of the industry.
- 52:15Speaker 3: One million percent. Drake will wipe his ass with Eminem
- 52:18Speaker 3: as a songmaker.
- 52:19Speaker 1: But if we're talking about bar for bar, punchline and lyricism,
- 52:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with Drake wordplay even because only thing
- 52:28Speaker 1: about because word prey is difficult because wordplay has to
- 52:31Speaker 1: do with flow and Eminem is the king of flow.
- 52:34Speaker 3: You think Drake bar for bar is better than Eminem? Yeah?
- 52:39Speaker 3: What was he that? Life?
- 52:41Speaker 1: Strictly if you're if you're because lyrics like Eminem is
- 52:44Speaker 1: a great storyteller. Might be one of my favorite storytellers
- 52:47Speaker 1: in hip hop, and that's I got him Cube Biggie
- 52:51Speaker 1: slick Rick storytelling, and that, to me is probably the
- 52:53Speaker 1: most difficult part of hip hop. Sure pock as well.
- 52:57Speaker 1: You know Brenda's got a baby keep your Oh yeah
- 53:00Speaker 1: it see, I don't whole is a great storytelling. Maybe
- 53:03Speaker 1: he has a song called Meet the Parents. It's on
- 53:05Speaker 1: the blueprint too. It's one of the best storytelled records ever.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Oh no, I mean just Streets is watching and that
- 53:09Speaker 1: whole project. But if we're going to guys who can
- 53:12Speaker 1: tell a fucking story, Eminem is probably number one because
- 53:16Speaker 1: ain't nobody topping stand, ain't nobody topping. He's good, but
- 53:22Speaker 1: he's not consistent with It's not like with lyricism now.
- 53:26Speaker 3: But Nas did a whole story backwards backwards.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I mean Nas did a whole record as a bullet
- 53:31Speaker 1: like creativity is out of here. But if we're talking storytellers,
- 53:36Speaker 1: Eminem is a better storyteller than Drake. But if we're
- 53:38Speaker 1: going ooh that bar for Barr, Eminem's never said nothing
- 53:44Speaker 1: bar wise.
- 53:45Speaker 2: That blew my mind.
- 53:46Speaker 3: What is he said? Hey, listen, I'm just letting you talk,
- 53:49Speaker 3: Mom Spaghetti spoken from a man who lost the battle.
- 53:57Speaker 2: You care.
- 54:00Speaker 3: I did not lose, and you might not have lost,
- 54:03Speaker 3: but you didn't win.
- 54:05Speaker 2: I showed up to the fight, motherfucker. You did show up,
- 54:07Speaker 2: like but and that's that, you know.
- 54:09Speaker 1: I was just in Detroit last week with my man Roy,
- 54:12Speaker 1: So that's it's all.
- 54:13Speaker 3: No, I mean, listen, that's that's great.
- 54:15Speaker 1: But I think if we're talking about the sport of it,
- 54:17Speaker 1: like to me, hip hop is wrestling, I.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Think MGK won his battle because I think the fact
- 54:21Speaker 3: we even questioned it again, I think he had a
- 54:25Speaker 3: better song, yes, and I think like he was actually
- 54:28Speaker 3: saying shit that people were like kind of thinking, like, yeah,
- 54:31Speaker 3: this guy just wears fucking stupid sweatpants. He's been wearing
- 54:35Speaker 3: the same Jordan jumpsuit for twenty five years.
- 54:37Speaker 2: But I think I think.
- 54:40Speaker 1: MGK made the same mistake that I made, that we
- 54:42Speaker 1: were probably a little too excited into over zealous that
- 54:46Speaker 1: we got to battle with the gleamed into it that
- 54:48Speaker 1: we got to get in the ring with one of
- 54:49Speaker 1: the best to ever do it right, I'm I ain't
- 54:52Speaker 1: gonna for I was excited.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Oh shit, he's paying attention.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Let's go, We're gonna get so many whild out like,
- 54:57Speaker 1: because the whole goal was to get attention. I mean,
- 55:00Speaker 1: that's why everyone's on social media. Don't give it fucked up.
- 55:02Speaker 1: You all sold your souls.
- 55:04Speaker 3: The all content. You got a fucking Instagram account.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you sold your soul to the devil a Instagram.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Uh. But so we were and the real goal, and
- 55:13Speaker 1: I mean it was conversations that we're being had behind
- 55:16Speaker 1: the scenes, like we was trying to get them at
- 55:17Speaker 1: least to even just give just the step.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Foot on one of your minions, Sen Royce. No, that's why.
- 55:24Speaker 2: First of all, Royce is a goat by himself, one
- 55:26Speaker 2: of the greatest lyrics.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Hey, there's an argument you made lyrically roices.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Just it's good. It's eminem. I'm just saying, if not better,
- 55:33Speaker 2: damn it.
- 55:33Speaker 1: I said it like like but uh, and I mean
- 55:37Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure m would say the same thing. That's
- 55:38Speaker 1: the reason why I invested in him and made him
- 55:40Speaker 1: his partner and put his arm around him. But uh,
- 55:42Speaker 1: it's just you know, it is what it is, Like, dude,
- 55:45Speaker 1: we know what it is. We know these marketing machines
- 55:47Speaker 1: are massive.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Yo, You're kind of like Switzerland in so many ways.
- 55:51Speaker 3: I feel like you're cool with so many people. Have
- 55:53Speaker 3: you tried to ever, like bring people together that are
- 55:56Speaker 3: having disagreements?
- 55:57Speaker 1: Yeah, all the time. But the best in the game
- 55:59Speaker 1: to do that is Fat Joe. Fat Joe's the one
- 56:01Speaker 1: that got me and him too. I mean it wasn't beefing,
- 56:04Speaker 1: but Fat Joe was like because one it started over
- 56:07Speaker 1: his record and then uh and then he was like, man, come.
- 56:10Speaker 3: On, y'all, y'all was that on the Lean Back remix?
- 56:13Speaker 2: Now long ago?
- 56:15Speaker 3: It was like, what what was doing?
- 56:17Speaker 2: It was Joe's last album.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Oh, Eminem is a song that's what started all this ship.
- 56:24Speaker 2: I was on the station at power and people like
- 56:27Speaker 2: you heard Eminem. I was like, you mean twenty years ago, there's.
- 56:30Speaker 3: Like no today, Lord Above. I think I heard it
- 56:34Speaker 3: one time.
- 56:35Speaker 2: He brought up all some old ship.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Damn Eminem. Can't let go? Man, I was, do you
- 56:42Speaker 3: think he's just sitting at home watching while and out like,
- 56:44Speaker 3: fuck this monk that's twenty seasons. Fucked this Scott Nah.
- 56:47Speaker 2: I think at this at this point, I think you know.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Because what was it all over? Mariah?
- 56:51Speaker 2: Right?
- 56:52Speaker 1: I guess that's where he started talking ship. And then
- 56:54Speaker 1: that's where you know again.
- 56:56Speaker 3: I always never knew what the fuck actually because he
- 56:58Speaker 3: would bring up Mariah so much in raps. I was like,
- 57:00Speaker 3: that was like, what the fuck?
- 57:01Speaker 2: Like, Yeah, I think it's a little bizarre. Yeah, you
- 57:04Speaker 2: know he's a.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Bizarre Yeah shout bizarre from twelve.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, they're gonna be coming at you. Funk you cav.
- 57:13Speaker 2: That's why your boot leg.
- 57:17Speaker 3: They're gonna be give someone. That's what they'd say exactly.
- 57:19Speaker 2: That's those guys on.
- 57:21Speaker 3: Twitter that I know do I see the comments all
- 57:23Speaker 3: the time. Now, I know why I call you.
- 57:26Speaker 2: You don't come up with nothing original?
- 57:27Speaker 3: Who you got in a lot of Nikki battle?
- 57:30Speaker 1: Oh, nik I gotta ask. I mean I love stir
- 57:34Speaker 1: it up. That's like I feel, so where if you ask.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Me Kim or Nicky, I'm gonna go Kim.
- 57:39Speaker 3: Really, she didn't write her ship.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Well, you make a good point, but I'm just saying
- 57:44Speaker 1: she's still the only reason I say I'm talking about
- 57:46Speaker 1: the hierarchy.
- 57:46Speaker 2: Queen nikis.
- 57:48Speaker 3: I think Nikki is the female goat.
- 57:50Speaker 1: She is.
- 57:51Speaker 2: I think, first of all, that's not disrespect. Nikki is
- 57:54Speaker 2: a goat. Whether whatever her ginger.
- 57:56Speaker 3: You know for sure she is one.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Of the coldest artists in the last decade, like we
- 58:02Speaker 1: can't sleep on the like her skill, her pen sonically,
- 58:06Speaker 1: she changed.
- 58:07Speaker 3: The goats on the on records.
- 58:09Speaker 1: That's what exactly. When she came with that Monster, that
- 58:12Speaker 1: was her record and she that was whole Kanye Ross
- 58:17Speaker 1: like she is whatever, gender aside, sex aside.
- 58:23Speaker 3: She she's that bit dope.
- 58:25Speaker 1: She's the only person in that that she could to me,
- 58:29Speaker 1: that has the same level of talent and that you
- 58:31Speaker 1: should even we should even be comparing her.
- 58:33Speaker 2: To is Lauren.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I was gonna say, Lauren, those three, that's those, that's
- 58:38Speaker 1: those kind of I agree.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Missy to me, probably out of the three we just named,
- 58:43Speaker 3: has my favorite music. I just think that like when
- 58:46Speaker 3: over Lauren, well, I mean Lauren went out, Missy got more.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Well there was the Score and then the mis Education,
- 58:51Speaker 3: but I just feel like Missy had like a four
- 58:53Speaker 3: or five album run that was just like Jesus right,
- 58:56Speaker 3: But those those are the three she was working with,
- 58:59Speaker 3: timbaland Missy helping right for fucking genuine.
- 59:02Speaker 1: And everybody everybody that's w V missus, but so Missy
- 59:10Speaker 1: Nikki as well, as Lauren, who's your overall top five
- 59:15Speaker 1: all time in no order? I don't make you put
- 59:18Speaker 1: so difficult. I mean we do this on my show
- 59:20Speaker 1: all the time. We break it down in categories. That's
- 59:21Speaker 1: why I was talking like storyteller. But if we're just
- 59:23Speaker 1: saying overall pack, okay, there's like just the most influential
- 59:30Speaker 1: person in hip hop to ever do it, then the
- 59:35Speaker 1: best to ever do it. From the authenticity, I agree.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Just like I said, we went from influence, uh, then
- 59:42Speaker 1: we went to uh. Then it gets tricky because there's
- 59:47Speaker 1: so many other people that could check this box. But
- 59:50Speaker 1: I need, like, like more the the effect on the
- 59:53Speaker 1: culture with your lyricism.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Ah, that's when you.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Got to give it to the g So that's where
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: you got to go in the spaces like the rock hymns,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: the ls, the ice cubes like that's I if I
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: they're equal to me. But if I'm gonna have to
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: go most successful, I'm gonna go cube Q. Yeah yeah,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: so cute. So I go cube as three uh and
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: then ship. That's where we get to that sticky point of.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: Well you already said that top five, but that's what
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: But I'm saying because I'm still I'm gonna give you
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: my last three and this is six to get me six.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: So it has to be between Kendrick, Drake, and m.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I love that you put Kendrick in there.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: It has to. I agree with you man like it
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: got so but I don't know where those three go.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: That's fair, like can like Drake might cancel out for
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: him and put him at six. Kendrick might cancel out
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Drake and put him at like, I don't know where
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: those last three gos. Like, well really, because there's only
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: two spots left and I got three people.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: I love the it's a good six, so it's a
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: respectable six. Yeah, the only person missing is Nas in
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: my opinion, See where would he go? Though? And I
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: would take Cuba?
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Would what Cube is done for the culture?
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Though? I know CE got bigger record, he's got classics,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Q got way bigger. If the cub did a versus
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Q wins all day long. I agree he wins the
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: versus so and and and really who wins the love?
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Nas?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: But are we talking about is illmatic? No America's KKK.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: We got lethal injection, we.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: Got sons stillmatic. It was written that level. It was written.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: It was written fire at that level.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Though, Okay, what about this. There's this debate fifty cent
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: versus Little Wayne in a versus battle who went all day?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I agree because this way ain't got more records. Fifty
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: has the biggest song in hip hop history. Let's not
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: get in the Club is the biggest song.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: It's the matter Usher, Yeah, which is not necessarily hip hop.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: The two biggest club The two biggest songs in hip
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: hop history are Rappers Delight and the in the Club.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Yeah, my kids know both of those for sure, you
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: And it's just like that. I feel like twenty years
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: from now will be saying the same thing. The two
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: biggest songs to the hip hop are rappers of Lighting
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: in the club. Because that's just they're bigger than their
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: damn near bigger than hip hop.

- 1:05:09Speaker 3: let's get back to the interview. Did you and Rob
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: ever link on some like transformers of SD area like
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: super like?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Nah? I mean, Dago is a weird city too, because
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: it's it's a lot of it's a lot of tension
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: between the two communities. Just not not but it's like
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: even you know, like you know, my I got you know,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: half of my family is Latino and stuff too, So
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: even it's always been loving, respecting that nature. But I
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: think because people don't give San Diego to respect that
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: it deserves. So the culture is constantly trying to prove
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: itself to.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Itself, almost like prove itself to l A a little.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Right, That's what I'm saying, even more like trying to
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: be like, yo, we gonna I'm gonna put this.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: I want to be the one to put it on.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: So it's a lot of people trying to tear each
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: other down. That makes sense because I think I asked,
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I think you Mitchie Slick, Jail Felony and Rob Stone,
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: Rob Stone and Little Rob. Yeah, Jill Felony was semester.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Absolutely, Bully Loco, shout out to j O Felly.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: That's the home there it is, man. We'll look. The
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: show is on Canon Daily Cannon.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Gonna be have because I know this ship going viral.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: You don't have me say all type of wild ship
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: that so, uh, you've got the new TV show level
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: of conversation. We got Prank.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: Wars, which is on E Yeah Yeah.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Wild'n Out new season is Erand that's I go against
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: myself on my own time slode. You're going Great Wars
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: and wild Out on the same time network and they
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: are the same owners.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: To no, two different companies. That's it.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: That's NB got that in your contract. Because I'm me,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: funk about all about I'm him.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: No, I'm me. It's a difference. You can beat him.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I'm me. There's only one me.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: That's when who you're voting for? Joe biden Er, Donald.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Trump, Donald Trump.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Let's go, you're voting for Trump. I don't even vote
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: for nothing. I don't believe in this corrupt government system.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: But I fuck with Trump. I like how I like
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: how Trump tell everybody kiss his ass.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: So you're gonna go with Trump if it's between the
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: old fogie in the old red hair by The only
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: thing is.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Because Trump I like my racism served right to my face.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: I've heard a lot of people say that.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: I don't like people lying to me and then in
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: front and.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: It's it's almost like you'd rather have someone tell you
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: what they're gonna.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Do, someone square up, then to punch me in the
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: back of my head. M simple is that?
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Because now I got a fair fight, all right, But
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: don't don't act like you fuck with me and then
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: throw some shit at me like that. So the thing
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: about Trump, I know what I know the feel I
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: know what I'm playing with. But let's keep it all
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: like WB the Boy said this, there's no such thing
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: as two parties, just one party with two names. One
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: evil party is what WB the Boy.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: Said, Hey, you are somebody who could literally be the
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: president of the United States.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Says that people are saying that I've been trying to
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: fuck up on purpose, so they don't.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: I'm telling you, you could be the president, bro. But
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: one day you could be the You could be the governor.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: You could be the governor of California. You could be
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: a senator.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: You could grow your I don't want that job, but
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: people have told me that all my life. But like because,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: but it's politics. But if you felt like you gotta
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: lie to people for a living, I don't you want
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: to be to you.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Might be able to like be the guy who doesn't
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: lie to people for that.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I think that's what Trump tried to do and everybody
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: turned it on them, and now Moucker might go to jail.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Like that's the thing, Like I did too much dirt
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: that have to like, I mean, I'd rather spilling I'd
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: rather spend all my money and like uh on children
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: in other countries and building like I can probably do
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: just as much good in the world with just philanthropy
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: and humanitarianism, then I could if I because because just
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: think about it, politics and especially the presidential campaign, it's
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: all about ego. It's not about like, it's about like
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: about power, likable. But even until this is like who
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: wants to rule the bit? I don't want that job.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: I want to be in charge of war. I don't
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: want to be charge of killing people. Like as much
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: like I love Barack Obama, but I guarantee you he's
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: like yo. If I would have known, I had to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: make some of the decisions, I make sure.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: He has a hard time sleeping the night because I mean,
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: he was letting them drones fly right ship, but Rock
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: had them drones like, we ain't gonna talk.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: About some of the ship that happened in Africa. I'm like, whoa, whoa,
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: that way, hold on, but we ain't gonna get it
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: to that. We're going too deep anyway.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: But to say, I don't want I don't want none
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: of them problems. So I'd rather spend all my money
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: help the world. I'd rather let's do it in your way.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Let's name some hospitals after me. Let's let's name some library.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I'll buy all of that ship. I do not want
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: to be in the game of politics. Yo.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: I want to see you going to Joe Rogan show.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: I love that's my man. You haven't I haven't done
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Joe Rogan Show, but I'm going to know each other.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: Legendary Joe.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Fuck with your boy, or have Joe come on my show.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: We got nothing.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: Bring the fucking podcast back. It was so good. Bring
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: the same table back.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: All of that's coming, bro. I got you.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: You be on the same page. Nick Cannon, I appreciate
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: you all day, appreciate you.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Let's go
