- 0:15Well, hello everyone.
- 0:16Welcome to another episode of Geopower, Energy and Real Politics.
- 0:21I have a very special episode today.
- 0:24It's going to be a tough episode, frankly, for me to even record and talk about because the title of this is the Ukraine War is lost.
- 0:33It's over.
- 0:34It's done.
- 0:35It's been lost.
- 0:37It's either going to be one at a peace negotiating table, where the Ukrainians and Europeans and NATO give up a lot, or it's going to be a war of attrition on the battlefield.
- 0:48But it is over.
- 0:49I'm going to connect a number of dots for you.
- 0:52And what I'm going to really talk about as well as the latest budget for Britain, why that's important to understand, to understand all of this, why Britain is lost, why the EU is lost, why Germany, France, they're all lost.
- 1:10Want to really tell you why is that?
- 1:12I will put an analysis in the show notes.
- 1:14But what an interesting thing happened that uh Andre Yermak, which was uh Zelensky's fix fixer.
- 1:20He was his enforcer, his gatekeeper, this ally.
- 1:24Well, Washington or the Trump administration, they have funded an organization called NABU.
- 1:31It is a U.S.
- 1:32trained attack dog on Uranian Ukrainian politics.
- 1:36Um, they raided Zelensky's office.
- 1:39And this was all about the peace process being derailed.
- 1:43This is about President Trump wanting to get out of Ukraine, wanting, frankly, to get out of Europe, and in my opinion, wants to get out of NATO as well.
- 1:53Um, the fall of Andrei Yermick, which is he's he's been Zelensky's most loyal ally.
- 1:59He's frankly been the de facto power manager of Ukraine, but this NABU, this US funded U.S.
- 2:05train anti-corruption bureau raided his home within the past week, and he wasn't just a chief of staff.
- 2:12He was frankly the shadow archetype of this corrupt regime.
- 2:16The man, he everything went through him, every appointment, every oligarch negotiation, every Western request, every wartime decision had to go through him.
- 2:27But he resigned.
- 2:28And let me tell you, this was not about corruption.
- 2:30This was more about pressure.
- 2:32It was engineered, it was timed, and it was executed by the one actor that can pull the lever on all of this, and that's Washington, D.C.
- 2:40And that's the president of the United States.
- 2:43And here, you think about what else is really going on here with Ukraine, and what does this mean with Britain and the EU and Germany and France and NATO?
- 2:53Well, let's talk about this.
- 2:57Why is the Ukraine war lost?
- 3:00Well, for months, the United States now has been split between the neocons, the folks, this kind of, you know, neo means new, and I believe it's Latin.
- 3:11These kind of new types of conservatives which believe in this, you know, we're going to pass on democracy throughout the world at the barrel of a gun.
- 3:20You can do soft power, which I would always advocate for via energy sales, nuclear power sales, uh, American, you know, entertainment, all sorts of things that don't have to do with war, or what Eisenhower, you know, called the war machine, the military-industrial complex.
- 3:39Well, these guys, these neocons, they cling to this fantasy of a battlefield reversal.
- 3:45And you can really make the case that Ukraine was lost during winter of 23.
- 3:49The Ukrainians made their big push against Moscow, and they were repelled.
- 3:53And ever since then, little by little, we saw a leading Ukrainian city and area that just went down this week to the Russians.
- 4:02And the Russians are rapidly getting what they want, which is their buffer.
- 4:07They've said we want a historic buffer that you you we want you to abide by the Minsk Accords, which NATO and the EU have not.
- 4:16We do not want NATO to spread eastward, which that happened during the Clinton administration, those negotiations.
- 4:22The Russians were promised.
- 4:23This is, and please hear me.
- 4:24This is no pro-Russian uh rant, and please don't call me Tucker Carlson, which by the way, God bless that man for at least asking questions that others will not ask.
- 4:37Um, this is not saying, oh, you are a Putin puppet.
- 4:42No, this is looking at real politics, the reality of a situation, the you know, real politics, real politics, the politics of reality.
- 4:54So for months, the U.S.
- 4:57now has been split between these neocons, led by the deep state in the United States, the Democratic Party, even Republicans like Lindsay Graham.
- 5:05They have a fantasy the battlefield's gonna be reversed with throwing more money and more Ukrainian lives at this.
- 5:12But then you have this rising block of realist.
- 5:15I'd call them the real politics block of JD Vance and others.
- 5:19I'd probably maybe Marco Rubio could be thrown in there.
- 5:22I can see him going both ways.
- 5:24They have finally accepted what the front lines have shown for over a year.
- 5:29Russia has won.
- 5:30I'd say it showed it more than two years ago.
- 5:33Ukraine's army is shattered.
- 5:36NATO's ammunition reserves are exhausted.
- 5:38That's been admitted by President Trump.
- 5:40That's also been admitted by Marco Rubio, who said we we need to rebuild our arsenal.
- 5:46Um American voters are done with the war, and let's be truthful.
- 5:50There is no victory in sight unless you are in the defense industry.
- 5:55If you are one of the big American defense contractors, same thing with European contractors, you want a forever war.
- 6:02As Domberg says, he calls it peace is a working capital problem.
- 6:07That's what we have.
- 6:08But the realists, they now want this controlled face, say they want a diplomatic exit.
- 6:14Um, they want to do the territorial losses quietly.
- 6:18Then Washington and the Trump administration can say we have a secure peace, but Zelensky and the Europeans have resisted every single bit of this.
- 6:27And this chief of staff was leading it, Yermick.
- 6:30He was the immovable pillar of that resistance.
- 6:34Um he's the filter that prevented all unwanted messages of reaching Zelensky.
- 6:40Uh, but the U.S.
- 6:41has purged him to a NABU raid.
- 6:44The U.S.
- 6:45is now isolated Zelensky.
- 6:47But so why is this important?
- 6:49I'm gonna read you directly from this report.
- 6:52And you're gonna see now why not only is this this war has nothing to do with Ukraine.
- 7:00This war has always been about um the European liberals, the European leftists, the European godlessness that now aligns itself with um godless terrorist Islamist.
- 7:15This has only been about crushing conservatives, crushing Christians, and crushing, frankly, freedom of speech, rule of law, and property rights.
- 7:24That's what this whole war has been about.
- 7:26So let's why do I say this?
- 7:28I want you the and I'll I'll put this report.
- 7:31Um, it's a report that came out a few weeks ago about why I'm saying this.
- 7:36The EU is panicking.
- 7:38European leaders fear peace more than war because peace forces accountability.
- 7:44What I mean by that, someone's gonna have to tell them you lost.
- 7:47You have no economy.
- 7:48You've given over to the global warming climate scam scare nonsense.
- 7:54You have de-industrialized, you have believed in net zero.
- 7:58And by the way, you use upwards of 40 exajules of energy, and you only produce about six.
- 8:06Your cities are lovely, and they're wonderful to visit, and Europe is a beautiful, wonderful place to visit.
- 8:12But make no mistake, you have no more geopolitical power, certainly we saw during the trade negotiations where Europe is now a vassal of the United States.
- 8:22You're buying US LNG at significantly higher rates than if you were to produce it yourselves.
- 8:28Your voters cling to absolute fantasies about Ukraine, about energy, about gender, about immigration, about Islamist, about global warming, and their hatred of their entire historical framework that began with the Magna Carter.
- 8:48So the EU's panicking.
- 8:50European leaders fear peace more than war because peace forces accountability.
- 8:54Read that twice to get that into you.
- 8:57Why did they destroy their own industries, torch their energy security, plunge their economies into recession, and funnel hundreds of billions into corruption for a war, Washington itself, meaning the Trump administration is preparing to fold.
- 9:13Brussels really is the capital of the EU project or experiment, as I like to say.
- 9:20Supported Zelensky unconditionally, not out of conviction, but out of sheer self-preservation.
- 9:28If the war ends, they must answer for the ruin they inflicted on their own population.
- 9:35Europe needs perpetual conflict to postpone the political reckoning.
- 9:41They saw that Trump won.
- 9:43They saw that all the swing states went to Trump, that Republicans won.
- 9:48They want, they even picked up Senate seats.
- 9:52If if you think there was a political reckoning that happened in uh the last presidential election, you can only imagine.
- 10:00Imagine what's going to happen to Europe.
- 10:01The United States is still an energy gigaper.
- 10:04The United States has a growing economy that's going to hit the fast track in 2026.
- 10:10The United States has the biggest and best military still in the world.
- 10:14They have some of the most innovative industries in the world.
- 10:16The United States is still a thriving force, geopolitical force.
- 10:22They are the real politics setters still of the world.
- 10:27They set the politics of the world, whether you like it or not.
- 10:32Everything still does run through the United States.
- 10:35Sure, I know some Chinese that fully disagree with me, and some Russians, and even some Indians.
- 10:41And I would go, okay, I see your point of view, but you're still closing most of your financial transactions in the world on the US dollar.
- 10:51The United States is still an energy gigaper.
- 10:55More oil, more natural gas than anyone else in the world.
- 11:01And if you've got all that energy, then you are good to go.
- 11:05Your economy.
- 11:06That's why we didn't go into recession during the Mind administration.
- 11:10So let me continue.
- 11:12Europe needs perpetual conflict to postpone the political reckoning.
- 11:16Washington, the Trump administration, by contrast, wants a face-saving off-ramp.
- 11:22This is the real EU-US divide.
- 11:25Brussels wants to delay the inevitable, meaning people like Keir Starmer, Macron, uh, Francis Mertz, folks that will listen to our Bond of Hungary, all of these godless leftists who have aligned with Islamists, by the way.
- 11:44That's what this is really.
- 11:45That's why this war is really going on.
- 11:47They want to delay the inevitable.
- 11:49Washington wants to manage it, and Kiev wants to deny it.
- 11:53Only one of them has the power to dictate the timeline, and it is not Kiev, and it is not the EU.
- 12:02It's Moscow.
- 12:04It's Russia.
- 12:07Just so you know, Vladimir Putin literally just said recently.
- 12:10Putin says he is ready for war against Europe if attacks on their Russian tankers and their energy infrastructure continues.
- 12:19Um he said Russia is not planning to fight European countries, but if Europe starts a war, Russia is ready right now.
- 12:27Vladimir Putin just said that within the last 24 hours.
- 12:31Make no mistake.
- 12:33That is an energy superpower you're dealing with.
- 12:36That's the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.
- 12:39These are this is an advanced country when it comes to their military.
- 12:43But more importantly, when the Russians fight next to their country and their supply lines are short, they win.
- 12:51They are willing to win a war of attrition.
- 12:53They're willing to use battlefield nukes as a as part of their first as part of their uh first strike doctrine.
- 13:00Anyone who thinks that Russia will allow themselves to be overrun like the Nazis did or Napoleon's armies did, you do not understand history, you do not understand their regime type, you do not understand their ideology, and you certainly don't understand human nature.
- 13:17These are people that still celebrate World War II wins and make them national holidays.
- 13:22You don't believe me, go read Russia Today or TAS.
- 13:25Go look at Russian propaganda, go read it.
- 13:28You'll be shocked.
- 13:30In that regard, go reach Chinese propaganda right now, the South uh the South Morning China, you know, the South South Morning China Post.
- 13:38Go read what they say about World War II.
- 13:40They talk about it all the time.
- 13:41They're all obsessed about it.
- 13:43Next week's episode, we're going to talk about this growing Japanese and Chinese rift, which still goes back to uh World War II.
- 13:53This still goes back to problems and conflicts have still not been resolved from that uh devastating war, which still affects all of us to this day.
- 14:04Back to this report.
- 14:05Moscow sees the Western fracture, senses the desperation, and understands its advantage.
- 14:13Putin's message has been cold and consistent.
- 14:16Either negotiation occur on terms that reflect the battlefield reality, Russia is winning, and addresses the root cause of the conflict, or Russia will continue grinding down NATO's proxy forces until nothing is left to negotiate with.
- 14:30Realize right now that Kiev is almost going to be unlivable in the winter.
- 14:33Realize too that the Russians have systematically been taking out their energy and electrical systems.
- 14:39The Russians could plunge that entire country into darkness and freeze them to death if they want to.
- 14:54It doesn't matter your chatter in the parlors of Paris and New York and LA with you godless Democrats and you godless leftists and you deeply naive neocons.
- 15:08You have no idea about energy, you have no idea about electrical delivery systems.
- 15:14And when you plunge that country into darkness, imagine what would happen with the refugee problem you would have.
- 15:20You think you've got to, if Poland thinks they have a problem now with Ukrainian um refugees, wait till the entire country is plunged into darkness.
- 15:29What happens when those people try to flee uh into the Donbass into Crimea?
- 15:34The Russians go look at Russian immigration policies.
- 15:39Heck, for that matter, go look at Mexico's immigration policies.
- 15:42Nobody does what the United States does.
- 15:45Nobody lets unassimilated just the dregs of the world into their country so the Democratic Party can gather more voters and more power and more government money.
- 15:59The rest of the world shoots immigrants, people who try to come to their country illegally on site.
- 16:05They'll shoot you on site.
- 16:07Go try to get into India right now.
- 16:09Go try to sneak into India and see what happens to you.
- 16:11I've been there.
- 16:12I've gone through their immigration system.
- 16:14Just wait.
- 16:16Back to the report.
- 16:17For Russia, both paths lead to victory.
- 16:20Russia has no reason to rush.
- 16:22This is a war of attrition.
- 16:23It is the West running out of time, weapons, unity, and credibility.
- 16:28And when European publics finally realize their leaders sacrifice prosperity, stability, industry, and geopolitical autonomy for a war that ended exactly where Moscow predicted it would, the political reckoning will be seismic.
- 16:45This chief of staff's fall from Ukraine, Yurmak.
- 16:50His fall is not the end of an era.
- 16:52It marks the beginning of the collapse for the EU.
- 16:57This is done.
- 16:58This is over with, friends.
- 17:02Let's also talk about what exactly has Britain done.
- 17:06Or let's even talk about again the Ukrainian war.
- 17:10Let's let's get even deeper into this.
- 17:14We the American people.
- 17:16I'm an American on an American station right now.
- 17:20Are they our allies anymore?
- 17:22Is NATO really an ally?
- 17:24As Britain, France, Germany are their allies, and what effect does that have on NATO?
- 17:30Um, these are people, and we're gonna get to Britain here uh soon.
- 17:34The question is, what damage have they done to these alliances?
- 17:38How have they punished their people?
- 17:40You have broadcast and posted international perception that is false.
- 17:45It's all been tarnished by the Europeans and what they've what they've done, what the former Biden administration did.
- 17:52Um you don't withhold, you don't uphold freedom of speech, you don't uphold freedom of religion, you don't uphold freedom of rightful assembly, you don't uphold the right to bear arms.
- 18:05What you uphold is your democracy, your left-wing Marxist, binary, godless, totalitarian, authoritarian at the barrel of um godless forces that you want everything for nothing.
- 18:29Britain and France, what's so crazy about Britain, France, and Germany is you have a you're implementing a police state.
- 18:36That's why you wanted this war.
- 18:38You support immigrants who rape and kill their own sons and daughters, but you put protesters in jail and silence your own citizens.
- 18:46But any who arrive through the, you know, any of these people who arrive from Afghanistan, Egypt, Morocco, these are they have zero assimilation for you.
- 18:57They want to destroy you.
- 18:59Is that a free nation?
- 19:01It's not free if you're supporting the very people that are gonna kill you, and for us to have continued alliances with nations, we're diametrically opposed to, not only to free speech, but even democratic principles.
- 19:15What's so fascinating too is the battles taking place in European nations, they are a stark contrast to Central and Easter Eastern European nations, formerly Soviet client states who are trying to distance themselves from the European Union and their dictates that promote this illegal immigration and that silence objectors, objectors.
- 19:38A democracy is only a democracy if the people have a say who governs them and the policies.
- 19:45You go, well, why is freedom of speech under attack so much?
- 19:48Because, and why is it blatantly outlawed?
- 19:50And why are only approved narratives like gay marriage is the best way, uh mutilating children, getting rid of the Bible, godlessness.
- 20:00Um embracing Islamist terrorists and immigration that is out of control.
- 20:08It's hard to know what kind of government Britain has, France has, Germany has.
- 20:12But it's not a democracy, as they claim.
- 20:17And you think with this, all of this centers around the Ukraine war, which then you have to get into illegal immigration because it's people like Keir Starmer.
- 20:26This is how this man derives his power in the labor party.
- 20:30If he supports a replacement population, the way the way United States blue cities do, we bring in continued amounts of people who have zero reason to assimilate.
- 20:42And please don't give me your melting pot theory because people who came in a hundred years prior, you had the same beliefs.
- 20:48They were trying to flee for a better life, not one where they hated America, not one where they absolutely hated the British, hated the French, hated the German people, all of their customs.
- 20:59But people like Keir Starmer, Macrone, Francis Verdes, none of you people have any power, and along with your godless urban centers, because you have you're for a replacement population when it's actually unpopular to do so.
- 21:17They look kindly on Islamists who and also the godless leftists and the godless immigrants they bring in the United States to take full control of their politics.
- 21:29What all of these people are, whether it's Karen Bass of Los Angeles, Keir Starmer, Joe Biden is a bunch of useful idiots for the billionaire George Soros of the world.
- 21:40What's crazy, and they'll always say this too.
- 21:42Well, the declining birth rate.
- 21:44It's the reason we have to import all these migrants, all these immigrants, all these illegal aliens.
- 21:49But if the you're if European and American birth rates are dropping so precipitously, and they are as a as in you know all Western societies, then a logical conclusion would seem I should outlaw abortion.
- 22:04I should uh do everything I can to have traditional marriage.
- 22:08One I should do every tax break, and anything I could do to make sure that families are having at least three three children per family.
- 22:16I should make it not spend money on wasteful, more health care, more social programs.
- 22:24Why not promote the very thing which makes societies?
- 22:28The reason you don't is because those societies tend to be conservative, they tend to be Christian, and they tend to believe in less government and free speech.
- 22:37But instead, what you do is you import rapists and murderers, and you do everything you can to push abortion like Chinese communists, the Chinese Communist Party does because if I kill the family, first I kill children and I kill the family, and I can kill and control societies.
- 22:55The reason, as I said a moment ago, and will say again, it's not the birth rate you're trying to uh cover up for.
- 23:03It's not um the Ukraine war.
- 23:06What you want to do, meaning the European left, the your the American left, uh, places like New Zealand, Australia, um, Taiwan, which just got rid of nuclear power foolishly.
- 23:20What you really want to do is you want to eliminate conservatives and you want to eliminate Christians.
- 23:25There's actually a new film called Deconstruction, where Victor Orbon, the prime minister of Hungary makes this very point, and I will put it into the show notes.
- 23:34Why do communists and Islamists work so well together?
- 23:37Why do godless atheists go so well with communists and Islamists?
- 23:44They want to be supremely in control because they can imprison people, they can get rid of an uncompliant populace.
- 23:52When you have a democracy, that means I've got a I've got to listen to naysayers, I've got to listen to critics, I gotta debate things, I have to have meetings, I have to let all sides have an answer.
- 24:02I have to, is it a republic?
- 24:04I have to go into courts and deal with things, I have to have um parliamentary systems.
- 24:10I have to have, oh my gosh, I have to have the executive branch, the levis legislative branch, and on and on and on.
- 24:19Hey, put some communists, some some godless democrats together and uh totalitarian uh raping, mass murdering Islamists.
- 24:28I can control your society all day long.
- 24:34What the United States has to do, you we there have you have to figure this out.
- 24:40You have to say, get out of Ukraine now.
- 24:44Um I wholeheartedly would tell anyone go vote for JD Vance.
- 24:51Go vote for him to be the next president.
- 24:54Um, hope that he possibly gets Marco Rubio as his VP, which he can be a bit of a neocon, though, himself.
- 25:01But at least you have a seasoned um rational actor in geopolitics and international relations, and you'll have two people understand uh real politics, the politics of reality, because the Ukraine war has had nothing to do with the Ukrainians being free.
- 25:22If you look at Ukraine's own voting patterns during their last election, pre-Zelensky, before all of this began, the Russian-speaking part voted essentially for the Russian-speaking candidate, and the more European-centric candidate, the other part of the country voted for that candidate.
- 25:44In other words, you have a country split right down the middle.
- 25:48You have a Russia who told NATO stop moving eastward.
- 25:52You had a country, you you had an organization, uh, which I'm going to call this NATO EU interlocking that wouldn't stop, which said we're going to crush Russia.
- 26:07Possibly for vital reasons.
- 26:08People could say, you have no idea what we put up with during the Cold War, Todd.
- 26:13You're correct.
- 26:14I don't.
- 26:16Um, I was a boy during most of it.
- 26:20But real politics says look at the reality of politics.
- 26:26Look at the reality.
- 26:29You, Europe, and big parts of the United States have de-industrialized because you believe in global warming.
- 26:38And you have led environmentalists from places like the Sierra Club and Friends of the Earth and all of those environmental organizations should shoot that should be bankrupted, fired, and burned into the dustbin of history to run your economies.
- 26:56You have killed cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Seattle.
- 27:03Pretty much most urban centers, which let's be very truthful, are being run into the ground by Democrats.
- 27:16Second half.
- 27:17I want to go over you with you and connect with you now the British budget and what this actually has has to do.
- 27:24Um what this has to do with the Ukraine war and why it is lost.
- 27:31So we're gonna pause here for a minute.
- 27:33We're gonna come back.
- 27:35This is uh Todd Royal.

- 32:29We're back.
- 32:30I'm Tom Doyle.
- 32:31I'm your host for Geopower Energy Real Politics.
- 32:36The brilliant who I love, uh Tilgashi.
- 32:40He wrote an article that I want to go with you about about Britain and connect what I see as the British decline with Ukrainian war and everything we went over the first half.
- 32:51The article is called the book that Rachel Reid, the book that Rachel Reeves should read before her budget, but won't.
- 33:00Give a little bit about what's going on with Britain right now is their tanking.
- 33:06Their country uh could go into bankruptcy at any time now.
- 33:10Uh leaked information about the UK economy has growth as low as 0.1%.
- 33:17Um they're gonna need to raise taxes in the 20 to 30 billion um British sterling pound.
- 33:23Uh experts are warning that the biggest obstacle for the labor government has has is first and foremost growth.
- 33:31Uh, that it's this person's being actually very nice about it.
- 33:33A gentleman named Ed Al Husseini, an interest rate strategist at Columbia Thread Needle and Asset Manager said.
- 33:40Um it's the they labor have had the bad luck of not being in a high growth environment, and whatever policy levers that it's pulled over the last 12 months haven't worked.
- 33:50That's a really nice way of saying that these fools believe in global warming and they're deindustrializing.
- 33:55But there's a book that uh Mr.
- 33:57Doshi highlights that I recommend you read called John Mornihan's Return to Growth.
- 34:03It's two volumes.
- 34:05Uh, it has perfect timeliness, and it's really speaking to this gathering storm and why people like the British, Keir Starmer and his godless labor party, which is just like the U.S.
- 34:16Democratic Party, why they need this war to continue in Ukraine.
- 34:20Um this is before the budget, you know, the budget has now been um embraced, is now been uh set forth.
- 34:28Uh, but many people are saying Britain's gonna come for an IMF style reckoning.
- 34:33They are in a doom loop of soaring debt services, falling currency, which leads to higher higher borrowing cost.
- 34:40But Mr.
- 34:41Uh Mornihhan has two volumes because he really gives a diet a diagnosis and a treatment plan available to any leader willing, more importantly, able to avert a national uh uh decline.
- 34:55The man says he's not an economist.
- 34:57Uh, you look at him, he says he's a business businessman, venture capitalist, and consultant.
- 35:03What he really is is he doesn't have any academic groupthink, NGO groupthink, government group think, nonprofit group think.
- 35:11Um, and his thesis is simple.
- 35:14Um, it is devastating, it is urgently needed.
- 35:18Uh, that Britain, and I'm gonna quote directly from uh Mr.
- 35:22Dashi, once one of the world's greatest engines of prosperity has allowed itself to drift in the torpor of social democracy where high taxes, high public spending, and a suffocating regulatory state have crushed dynamism, productivity, and growth.
- 35:38I would also say that crushing immigration, what we talked about uh in the first half, all for the sake of power, along with your godlessness, your abortion rates, and I would even add you still haven't gotten over World War II and the devastation along with World War One that it caused, has taken Britain into a doom spiral.
- 35:59Um structures volume one around three pillars the size of government, the rate of taxation, and the quantity of regulation.
- 36:09There's big.
- 36:11Um he says that affluent societies now, you're flirting with this Nouveau regrowth thing, where this is a luxury belief of elites that says uh we can degrowth to uh to save the planet.
- 36:29It's a zero-sum society and condemning others to shorter lives if we do not take on the global warming nonsense.
- 36:39What's so stupid about that is that what we've seen, and I would I would vehemently argue and defend any of the global south and any people who want a better life because the past two centuries, because of fossil fuels, because of nuclear power, we have better lifespans, we have falling infant mortality, we have unbelievable expansions in material comfort and human flourishing, and none of this was produced by any Islamist, any um rape and pillage immigrant, any central planner, any communist, authoritarian, socialist um, absolute monarch uh regime.
- 37:22This is because of private enterprise, competitive markets.
- 37:25Frankly, it's been because of a whole lot of Christian men and women and conservatives who've gotten themselves, we've gotten themselves to work, who've done the things societies need, like build infrastructure, build universities, get married, heterosexual marriage, have two, three, four, five children, stay married, raise those children into productive members of society.
- 37:50But the problem is Britain, like much of Europe has forgotten this lesson.
- 37:54Henceforth, I need a forever war.
- 37:58And you get a politician like a Keir Starmer who want this war because it's short-term, you know, popularity, long-term unaffordable commitments.
- 38:10Um, what Mornihan also talks about is that what kills growth is regulations.
- 38:18Um really he defines three villains, which again, why do I need to keep the why do I need to keep the Ukraine war going?
- 38:25Because our Kier Starmer and the Labor Party can keep power.
- 38:29I, the Democratic Party can keep power.
- 38:32But what are the three, frankly, villains of growth of people flourishing over government, which is big government, high taxes, excessive regulations.
- 38:43Why do the why do governments choose and align with frankly create these oligarch societies, big banks, big finance, big pharma, big companies?
- 38:53Because no matter what the government does, they can lobby for cutouts, they can afford the taxes, they can afford the regulations.
- 39:00Why does California have the most billionaires?
- 39:02Because they can afford it.
- 39:04So they can afford the ultra-high real estate.
- 39:07They can afford to have wonderful weather year-round while the rest of the world has to flee from these from these places.
- 39:16And again, it's why you say I've got to keep the Ukraine war though it's lost.
- 39:21I don't care that Ukrainians are being slaughtered.
- 39:24I don't care that they're gonna freeze to death.
- 39:27I could care less about Ukraine.
- 39:29And frankly, I don't care what Vladimir Putin does.
- 39:32I just need to keep the European and American public um hey, go go look at your iPhones and go watch uh video games.
- 39:42Because I'm gonna create a war that's gonna bring just enough money in to just the right industry so I can get reelected.
- 39:49Meanwhile, what you need to do is cut government, cut taxes, and get rid of most regulations.
- 39:55If you think about net zero and what the British have done.
- 40:02Again, I quote uh to like Dashi, it is a festering mass of regulation, regulatory invasion, subsidy seeking and dodgy claims of success.
- 40:12And London's mayor, oh, surprising.
- 40:15He's an Islamist.
- 40:17Sadak Khan, which a bunch of stupid white people elect because you think you're being so virtuous when what you who gives a damn if he's Muslim or not?
- 40:26I could care less.
- 40:27Be a Buddhist, be a Hindu, be whatever you want to be.
- 40:32Get to the principles of small government, lower taxes, less regulation, and go drill for oil and gas that's all over your country, all over the EU and all over the waters that surround different parts of Europe and Great Britain.
- 40:47And for that fact, I'd tell the United States go drill for every piece of hydrocarbon you can off the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
- 40:55And I know that upset a whole lot of people.
- 40:57But this your mayor of your biggest and most influential city.
- 41:03He is a symbol of overreach.
- 41:06He wants to restrict transport.
- 41:08He wants to choke off economic growth.
- 41:10He wants to mandate lifestyle changes.
- 41:12He wants to impose limits on travel, clothing, consumptions, meal, housing.
- 41:18He has some ridiculous thing called the C40 network.
- 41:22The mayor of London, a know nothing aligned with communist Islamists.
- 41:29He says, oh, it's it's it's it's an agenda, it's to help the planet.
- 41:33No, it's not.
- 41:35And again, I quote Mr.
- 41:37Dashi, you are an in this is enforced austerity, disguised as planetary virtue that I may add is all about control.
- 41:45It's the same thing with DEI, it's the same thing with ESG.
- 41:50Um, you can look at McKenzie reports, which supposedly, which have been thoroughly debunked.
- 41:56Oh, diversity and you know, DEI and ESG.
- 42:01Who cares?
- 42:02Nobody gives, certainly this.
- 42:05I don't give a damn if you are a woman, if you're a man, if you're black, if you're brown, if you're white, if you're gay, if you're straight, can you do the job?
- 42:17Nobody cares less who you are going home and sleeping with if you can't fly an airplane.
- 42:25What I want some incompetent Christian because I sit next to him on a pew, uh, flying a 747 through turbulent air while he's trying to land at international airports.
- 42:37Or do I want someone who's married to a man who's gay and oh, let's say he has the Quran next to him but can fly the plane.
- 42:46That's what's so wrong with DEI and ESG, because it says we're going to create all these virtues that mean nothing, and all it does is get power, and it paints people in a corner when people like me finally are starting to stand up and say, nobody cares.
- 43:01And McKinsey, you are wrong.
- 43:04What you did is wrong, and you did it for money.
- 43:08Uh, and frankly, I would tell anyone most McKenzie reports are not worth the paper they're written on.
- 43:14Go look at them.
- 43:15They won't, they're generally not sourced, and it's all they're doing is telling people what they want to hear.
- 43:20They're corporate masters and overlords.
- 43:24All of this nonsense that Britain is doing, or ideological goals to undermine meritocracy to under to undermine everything.
- 43:36Everything.
- 43:40Everything, every piece of society that you deem worthy, that's made the world so prosperous for the last 100 to 150 years, post-industrial revolution, people like Keir Starmer, the Labor Party, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, and let the rest of these authoritarian nincompoops and all of their virtue that's made up for their own power, they are trying to destroy the world.
- 44:10And that's why they want that war.
- 44:18It has nothing to do.
- 44:22Nothing at all.
- 44:24Um actually takes his critiques deeper and more philosophical in his volume two.
- 44:34And he actually talks about um uh Frederick von Hayek, he famously termed this thing called fatal conceit, uh, this belief that these wise technocrats can manage complex economic and social systems.
- 44:49I have a master's in public policy, so I can be considered quote unquote a wise technocrat.
- 44:54Let me tell you, my dear listeners, and anyone who hears this, I cannot manage your affairs.
- 45:01I don't need to tell you what to do with your school system, much less your household, much less how you need to drive.
- 45:06And I have extensively studied uh budget budgetary systems, I have a background in economics, I've been an economist, I understand transportation systems.
- 45:16I even held a small public office in Los Angeles for four years.
- 45:20Um, if you look at my show bio, I have consulted with uh U.S.
- 45:24governor, Congress people, uh, different industries, many parts, you know, various parts of the U.S.
- 45:30government, and I can tell you of all of the learnings and all of my experience.
- 45:35There is no way, no way that I think I can manage any kind of complex economic or societal systems which are in your neighborhood, in your city, and in your state.
- 45:50Um you know how to manage your industrial policy, your environmental planning.
- 45:55Whatever social justice objectives or uh you may have or strategic sector, go do your social justice in your church, in your synagogue at your family uh dinner table.
- 46:10This this conceit that the British government, the French government, the EU, NATO, that they know best.
- 46:19What net zero has proven the reality of physics is always gonna win.
- 46:27You're not gonna move to a system that's based on the wind, the sun, and storage systems.
- 46:34It's not gonna work.
- 46:36Uh, Mark P.
- 46:37Mills has done great work on storage systems.
- 46:40I've done work on storage systems.
- 46:43Typically, they can only store energy for about one to four hours.
- 46:47Why is that important for the Ukraine war?
- 46:49Because the Russians are not putting up battery battery energy storage systems to store the wind and the sun because they believe in global warming.
- 46:57Nope.
- 46:58What they're doing is burning copious amounts of coal and in particular natural gas to build factories that that make boots for soldiers, bullets, guns, missiles, weapons, aircraft, which can blow Ukrainians to hell and grind down the EU until it dissolves and make NATO become a fractured mess of itself because they create more of the things it takes to blow people to hell and win wars.
- 47:32Reality, real politics, the politics of reality.
- 47:38You believe in all this delusional crap because you want power.
- 47:43Meanwhile, your countries are absolutely going to hell.
- 47:52What does he say that the British could do?
- 47:56What is Moynihan say?
- 48:00Well, it has a few things.
- 48:02Goes back to the same thing.
- 48:04Shrink the state, strength the government, cut taxes, slash regulation.
- 48:08Let free market let free markets thrive, let free trade flourish, and let sound money prevail.
- 48:16And then restore the sanctity of contracts, competition, and price signals, and I would say stop immigration.
- 48:23Get rid of abortion, uh, get rid of uh anything but heterosexual marriage.
- 48:28Frankly, let the state get out of the business of marriage.
- 48:31Promote um education policies that are based on uh sound principles that no longer is based on things like your sexuality or your gender.
- 48:41Uh teach, really teach people, make them read great books, make them understand math, make them do engineering, uh, make them do accounting, even simple bookkeeping.
- 48:56Uh this liberal utopia.
- 49:02Um what I'm calling for a call for greatness.
- 49:07It's a call for the British, the French, the Germans to restore their greatness.
- 49:12Um for two centuries, the British were the richest country on earth.
- 49:17Um the sober note is this.
- 49:23When you think about the British and what's going on, and why I would tell you that what I'm about to read read to you is going is going to be exactly why the Ukrainian war is going to end at the barrel of a Russian gun.
- 49:38I doubt, Moynihan doubts, Mr.
- 49:41Dashi doubts, and many others doubt that the British government will adopt these measures absent a genuine crisis.
- 49:49The political culture of Britain, Los Angeles, New York City.
- 49:55Frankly, most of the West.
- 49:59Um
- 50:00You've drifted towards godlessness.
- 50:02You don't want to believe in Jesus.
- 50:04You don't want to believe in even any kind of morality, what I'll call a Las Vegas country club mentality where me is the most important thing.
- 50:15You want state dependency, you want bureaucratic interests, left wing moral panics.
- 50:20We've allowed media universities to tilt overwhelmingly to bigger government, more regulation.
- 50:30As Mornihan says, you need a Britain's going to need a Thatcher style renaissance.
- 50:36It may have to be akin to like the late 70s when Britain was truly collapsing.
- 50:40The problem, what's different now is that Britain is allowed in millions of people who hate their guns.
- 50:47And you keep electing Islamists now because you think you're morally superior, and you think, oh, we're so horrible to be Caucasians, and everything about the Magna Carta and free speech.
- 50:59And before anybody says I'm some racist, give me a break.
- 51:03You should know I come from a minority background.
- 51:08So save your um your virtuous non-virtuous platitudes.
- 51:16Uh any boomers listening to this, you're the problem.
- 51:20Save your nonsense.
- 51:26In Britain bond markets are watching, you say the same thing for America.
- 51:2930 year borrowing cost in Britain are the highest level since 98.
- 51:35You could be looking at the sterling pound collapsing.
- 51:39Umcher at one point, uh, she slammed down Hayek's Constitution of Liberty at a cabinet table and declared this is what we believe.
- 51:51Does anybody think the U.S.
- 51:52Democratic Party, the German Social Democrats, McCron's party would do any of that?
- 52:01Um I don't know if Hayek will be enough.
- 52:05Um, I don't know if any of this will be enough.
- 52:10Um that what uh John Monahan has written, probably one of the more detailed, clear eyed, grounded analysis of Britain's economic malays in decades.
- 52:24You could put that to the United States.
- 52:25You could put that the only reason the United States is we're in energy gigaper.
- 52:29Um could um you could certainly put what he Monaghan has written and put that towards um France, Germany.
- 52:41Um really what it is, his return to get this two volume return to growth.
- 52:47It's a full indictment of this whole social democratic system.
- 52:51This whole system of of welfare, of being anti-family, anti-God, anti-religion, anti-morals, degrowth, uh, bigger taxes, bigger government, more regulations.
- 53:03Um really, you kind of say this this whole thing where men and women don't marry anymore and they gripe about affordability.
- 53:10Well, the affordability issue is happening because you don't build houses, you have way too much regulation, and the taxes are too high because you want to believe in some system of social security, of Medicare, of please take care of us, please take care of us.
- 53:26No, what you need to do is become more responsible, get married, have children, grow up.
- 53:33I would tell that what Monahan's really saying is grow up.
- 53:37And as the Ukraine war continues, there's an utter childishness which says, you, Todd are a Putin puppet.
- 53:47No, critic.
- 53:51You're entitled to your free speech, but you're not entitled to your facts.
- 53:56The facts are they are losing.
- 53:59The facts are um it had to take a man who's not part of the academic priesthood, um, is not part of the NGO, nonprofit, government think tank, deep state government bureaucracy.
- 54:17But this is an out, this is a very astute man, an astute businessman, frankly, an outsider.
- 54:24He sees what's been forgotten in what the Ukraine war has really truly been all about.
- 54:31Innovation thrives under freedom.
- 54:33Individuals are innovative, not central planners.
- 54:39National strength, national security, in many ways, you need to be humble, you need to be restrained.
- 54:47Um, and you need to trust in markets, need trust in people.
- 54:51You need to have real democracy work.
- 54:56What you see now is oh gosh, no humility, hubris, which has always been such a tough word to me because it's so damning, it's such a damning word that I have hubris.
- 55:09Um, you now believe in these this hubris uh bureaucracy by supposedly these trained technocrats, and I hope I have completely expunge the idea of the technocrat is somebody that's been around these people, they don't know much.
- 55:24Give me a farmer in Kansas who's gonna know a heck of a lot more, or farmers in Europe, or people who are actually running factories, making cars, petrochemical plants, trust me.
- 55:38You know a whole lot more than I do or any other technocrat does.
- 55:43And more importantly, we we've we've gotten into these moral crusades.
- 55:48That's all it is.
- 55:49It's a crusade.
- 55:51Um, we like to lambast the crusades, which by the way, the Christians lost to Salomade.
- 55:56But what we really like to do is the crusade of net zero, the crusade of global warming, the crusade of climate change.
- 56:04I would say anybody on end with this.
- 56:08If the Ukraine war is a farce for how bad, how bad our leaders are and how politics have become, then believing in the fallacy of global warming and climate change is the ultimate crusade and the ultimate false virtue, which which allows you to accrue all kinds of power and money with zero accountability.
- 56:31So while I'm blowing the hell out of people on a Ukrainian battlefield and wasting billions and uh negating American national security because uh arms and munitions are dangerously low.
- 56:45I can talk about, I can say no matter what, climate change and progressive women will eat that crap up 10 times out of 10, and the feckless men next to them will just go right along with it.
- 57:01I end with this.
- 57:04Don't support the Ukraine war anymore.
- 57:06Support the Ukrainians, but don't support what this thing has been about.
- 57:10It's lost.
- 57:12Go with the realist.
- 57:15And then go with Ukraine rebuilding its its economy, its society, and its energy infrastructure systems, because that's what they're gonna need.
- 57:24Um, whether you like it or not, you better go do business with the Russians, like you better do business with the Chinese, but you better have your hand on both barrels of a gun, and you better be making more energy in industry than you know what to do with to counter both.
- 57:39Thank you for listening.
- 57:40I am Todd Royal.
- 57:41I'm the host of Geopower Energy, real politics.
- 57:46God bless, and hope you're gonna have a great Christmas season.
