- 0:00Lisa Hopkins: Hey there, if you might be looking for a little more peace and serenity in your world right now, here's a five-minute meditation that might just do the trick.
- 0:16Lisa Hopkins: We're going to center on love and peace and finding serenity, so find a comfortable seated position or lie down whatever feels right for you in this moment, just ensuring that your spine is straight.
- 0:38Lisa Hopkins: When you're comfortable, go ahead and close your eyes gently and take a deep, deep breath in through your nose, feeling your lungs expand, and exhale slowly through your mouth, letting any tension melt away.
- 1:10Lisa Hopkins: I'm going to repeat this, breathing two more times, breathing in deeply, inhaling peace and exhaling stress.
- 1:32Lisa Hopkins: I want you to shift your awareness now to your body.
- 1:39Lisa Hopkins: Feel the weight of your body as it is supported by the chair or the surface beneath you.
- 1:45Lisa Hopkins: Imagine roots extending from your body into the earth, anchoring you in the earth's grounding energy and, with each exhale, let go of any scattered thoughts.
- 2:15Lisa Hopkins: Again, with each inhale, visualize drawing in the earth's grounding energy and, on the exhale, let go of any scattered, messy thoughts.
- 2:53Lisa Hopkins: Now I want you to bring to mind someone or something that you deeply love, or gratitude, expanding in your chest and radiating warmth like a soft, glowing light.
- 3:10Lisa Hopkins: Allow this light to grow, filling your entire body with its soothing presence.
- 3:23Lisa Hopkins: Visualize the light of love and peace expanding now beyond your body.
- 3:42Lisa Hopkins: Imagine this light traveling outward from your center, outward, touching towards those you care about, and then extending further to your community, your city, your country and the world.
- 4:19Lisa Hopkins: Country and the world Silently repeating may all beings be happy, may all beings be safe, may all beings be at peace.
- 4:51Lisa Hopkins: Now draw your attention back to yourself.
- 4:58Lisa Hopkins: Feel the loving energy you sent outward flowing back to you now, a reminder that peace begins within.
- 5:10Lisa Hopkins: Rest in the stillness of this moment, knowing that your light and love make a difference in the world.
- 5:30Lisa Hopkins: Breathe in serenity and exhale harmony, gently bringing your awareness to the sounds around you and sensations in your body.
- 5:54Lisa Hopkins: Now Wiggle your fingers and toes, bringing movement back into your body.
- 6:04Lisa Hopkins: Take a final deep breath in and, as you exhale, open your eyes, carrying this sense of peace and love with you into your day.
- 6:25Lisa Hopkins: Namaste, my friends.
