- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: What's up guys, guy here, it is Tuesday morning.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I've been itching to do this show since I got home late Monday night for a variety of reasons that I'll get to.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: I got a text from a commander's assistant coach this morning and he said that team hits as in like they play physical.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I did, I find myself wondering as I start the show today, is it allowed the way Malak and Mustafa hits the way Fred Warner hits, specifically those two guys, we'll see, I guess this week, the night is getting fined every week now and I do worry a little bit that it will start affecting the way they get officiated.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: I was shocked when they picked up a flag on Fred Warner yesterday.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a legit flag for any legal hit hit to the head of a defenseless receiver.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think, to me, that's one of the stories in the back of my head as I start thinking about,
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: the Atlanta game are you allowed to hit this way and maybe importantly in a different way so what if you aren't because watching that out of film if I'm a receiver I'm pretty concerned about running over the middle of the field uh and even the running backs running into the middle of the field
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: So it was a physical game, I think it's a good place to start because it was really representative of the game.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was a mentally taxing game.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, really, you have 23 to 3 in the middle of the third quarter.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: You are pushing the ball down the field.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: You are thinking you got a cruise.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: I, I felt that way.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: and Tim Ryan on radio kept saying, you know, you don't get to cruise, and he was right.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: They did not get to cruise, and that thing was dicey, and, you know, if they had lost that game, it only would have been one loss, and that's the five and one, and you get it.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you get beat, I didn't think it was a trap game.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: in the first half, but it was a trap half in a way, although I think it was more about specific things happening than that like they stopped taking it seriously.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think credit to the commanders for a few things that we're going to get to here.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: We got to talk about the offense.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: We got to talk about the defense, the good and the bad competitive stamina is what Kyle Shanahan called it after the game and there's definitely something to be said for that.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like you don't get to win all these games going away.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get to
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Be the sea ox going away everybody knows that, but you know Atlanta might be more of the same Atlanta basically on Sunday Played the same game that honors just did on the other side of it even worse than Washington They were getting really beat badly going into I think was 31 7 going in the fourth quarter and came storming back So you know, it's that honors get ready for that game having just experienced this game with Washington
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: they will, they will be taking the Falcons very seriously.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: I will be taking, we should all be taking the Falcons very seriously.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, there's two, if you, if you're 6 and 0, then you don't, you know, being 7 and 0 at some point like that's gravy, I guess.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: But you got to win as many as you can win, and it would really be painful.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: to hit the buy, even though you're 6 and 1, if you lose to Atlanta on a loss in Atlanta, it would really hurt, you know, I know they're going to be beat up, which we'll talk about, but it's going to take more of that competitive stamina.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to go through a bunch of stuff from the game, competitive stamina is what I was trying to channel, late in that game.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: I first split second I hesitated, should I bring this up, but I didn't think about it long, because I'm like, yeah, I got to bring it up.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: because this is my channel and this is my show and I'm lucky to have YouTube because it lets me just talk about stuff.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to tweet about it or wait to go on somebody else to show to do it and I got home midnight just fuming, fuming.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: The whole drive fuming because the Niners are up by six Washington has the ball at the end of the game and I say not once twice maybe a third time I bring up
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: And Drew Stevens, the commander's kicker, his field goal range, about his field goal range.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Why does that matter?
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Dummy?
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's a six point game.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's field goal range.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's irrelevant.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: And thank God Chris Babcock, our statisticians, save my life because he's scribble on a piece of paper.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: 23 to 17 like I know the score six point game and then it clicked Sometimes you don't you don't you try to say as much as you can say and cover every base I'm talking for myself not you me You're broadcasting the game and like you want to think ahead in every situation and I had taken note You know earlier in the fourth quarter of Steven's career long field goal and they gotta get around the 40-yard line probably to
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: try a field goal and for some reason that you'd not for some reason it's stuck in my head because it's relevant information in a tight game except it's not relevant information in a six point game with a minute left and so it came out a couple times in an effort to like cover all the bases and it's just idiotic and I'm just
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: just killing myself last night about it and luckily the baby as I got in bed around 1130 my 11-month-old son woke up from his crib and so I went and picked him up and it's funny I was talking to somebody that they're like you know it doesn't it all just melt away when you hold your child and I was like yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm holding them last night and I'm like, I did forget about it briefly, but then I woke up fuming again.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: So when I picked them up this morning, I was still thinking, what did the gym got to sweat in just?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought, too, like, I had something years ago, a buddy of mine, Yogi Roth, who I worked with brought up, he works with quarterbacks and he teaches quarterbacks about this thing.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: They work with quarterbacks on something called pace, PACE, I'm going to get to the Niners game itself, I promise.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: But let me talk about me.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: And plays after critical errors, and that got me through the last minute of the game like plays after critical errors forget about the fact that you just miss led the listeners confuse the listeners the listeners are screaming at their radio or their streaming app going what are you talking about brawl which is fair and just get through it.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I lock in.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get beat twice, don't beat yourself twice, or in this case three times or four times.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I get asked a lot, sometimes I'll talk to like a college, a class, like what you're most embarrassing moment.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: And mine has always been years ago, I was doing a college basketball game, and there was a guy named Tyler Johnson in the game, and his shoe came off, and when he went to put a shoe back on, I said Johnson puts his rubber back on, which was embarrassing, but like in a harmless funny way.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Saying the repeating what the kickers feel go ranges in a six point game is just stupid.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I thought about not saying anything for a split second because I'm like, why call attention to it for the people that didn't see it, but I'd rather adjust the people that did hear it at the expense of calling attention to it because like I said, it's my channel.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: And if I'm like it, I talk about stuff here.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: And some of you guys get interested in that kind of thing.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: So whatever, it needed to be addressed.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was a, uh, uh,
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: Bad, bad, bad mistake by me, and I'm just thankful it didn't happen like on the last play of the game or, you know, something that they tie the game and you say they take the lead or something like that, but My wife talked to me off the ledge this morning.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not totally off the ledge, but I thought if nothing else talking about it here Would make me feel a little bit better a little bit of therapy.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get through it.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think God, it's not the last game of the year and I got to sit on that.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it won't be the last mistake.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully it's the worst.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully it's the last, but it's not the last.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, if you heard it, specifically if you heard it and it was the only way you're listening to the game and you were really confused, I am sorry because the job is to be the eyes.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: for you the listener and uh... mislead you if it took you out of the moment even though you knew it was wrong and you're like what are you talking about brought it took you out of the moment of this great last minute that's what kills me is like it takes you out of the moment you the listener takes them out of the moment you're supposed to be like the soundtrack and add to the environment and the atmosphere and all that stuff and uh... you know i'd attracted from the atmosphere in that moment so
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, that said, that's not what you came here for.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get to it.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: I also want to tell you this show was brought to you by Volvo Cars Marine.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to Volvo Cars Marine, Matt Gordon and his team.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: We are driving around safely.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was fuming last night in my gorgeous XC90 T8 plug-in hybrid.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: beautiful car, comfortable car, safe car, love and drive it in electric mode, 99% of the time.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And if you are thinking about a new or use Volvo GoC Matt Gordon and his team, at Volvo Carsmen, they are great.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Matt was at the game last night, and it was great to have them.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I know he's fired up.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Niners are our six-year-old chance to get to seven and a no.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: And let's talk about some things.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with the offense.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: And we're talking about the good and the bad, the offense, it's a three-phase show today, offense defense, special teams, and broadcasting, four-phase show.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I think one thing you've felt in the second half of that game, Brock Perti is legitimately in the MVP race for the NFL and Josh Allen did his thing to the day, but it feels like Mike Evans is the last player you feel like you can lose, and I talked about it a few weeks ago, and I said that.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: of Bosa and all these guys and they're all so critical and so good.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I said a few weeks ago, it feels like Mike Evans is the last guy you can lose because Mike Evans is, Mike Evans is open when he's not open, which is really important when you're down several receivers like the 49ers are.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: And we reached the bottom, you know, we kind of found the bottom of the receiver room.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: on Monday night, just in the sense that like they've taken injury after injury after injury, how many can you sustain on the defensive line, a blindbacker, at safety, at nickel, at receiver, we found out.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is where do you take a, where is there a critical drop in production?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: You could lose a lot of guys.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: There could be two receivers left.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: If Mike Evans is one of them,
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, at one point I pointed it on the air and I, I wanted, I just mentioned I said it on the air, because I didn't say it with Glee, I just think it had to be pointed out.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I was around to forward receiving those forward receivers, Jacob Cowings, Zero Career Touchdowns, Jordan Onekin, Zero Career Touchdowns, Brandon Cook's been on the nine or three weeks, and Malik Turner has not had a catch in the NFL in five years.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they had in the second half after Mike Evans went out.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, he's Achilles.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: it's going to be a it's critical you know he has battled through and played a lot it feels like after not practicing all last week and then getting hurt in the first effort you know the tendonitis if he's a kill he's flaring up on him in the first half of this game it feels like maybe this is the week to miss Atlanta not because it lands easy but just because you're going to get the buy after that and you try to get yourself if you're six and oh again you can't just start giving games back
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: because it becomes tight really fast.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: But it better than being three and three and feeling like you have to go when that you can't lose this game in Atlanta.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I'm sure it'll come up that this game's our artificial surface.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Is that a factor, but it feels like a week where you go, all right, let's just, if you can get, especially if you can get Christian Kirk this week, let's have a week to plan without Mike.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: and and you know let him rest for two weeks now Mike Evans might just go no I got the by coming up I'm good let me see what I can do it feels like that's his MO Christian Kirk the possibility that he comes back is obviously very real you know you lose Mike Evans and you start thinking about other receivers and I know I talked last week about
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: how I don't think it's a makes a lot of sense for Joanne Jennings, I don't think it makes a lot of sense for the Vikings, even if they want to trade him, he's number two on their team in snaps among receivers, and if they want to trade him, they're not going to get so much for him from the 49ers that they're going to help out a rival in the NFC, and if they make him available and he's suddenly only available for, you know, he's a sickly like, you're not trading a fourth round pick form, I don't think you're trading a fifth round pick form, if you're the 49ers, maybe you trade a fifth.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but if they, you know, this guy's available for six, somebody else might give you a six.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: You might take a six from somebody else, you might take a seven from somebody else than a six from the 49ers.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but, um, but like there's just not that many guys you can plug in.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're just seeing how long it takes, um, you know, Brandon cooks up.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go through some of the, some of the second half plays later.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, there's a play late in the game.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: A critical down where cooks almost runs into George Kittle.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't know who was in the wrong place.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: But you've got to figure it's probably the guy that just got here three weeks ago.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you think about who can just step it and play, Joanne Jennings is one of them.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: The other name that you would say is Kendrick Boren, who could just step right in and play in this offense, who, you know, he was productive in it last year.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be at kind of more so with Mac Jones than Brock Perty, but just like Joanne Jennings, he's number two on the Cardinals among receivers in snaps.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: And they just traded away Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: So they're two and four.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: They traded away Kendrick Born to the 49ers just to be cool.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think they just beat the Rams.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're feeling like, why we start trading away guys now with what?
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Over 20 days still more than two, two and a half weeks, three weeks until they trade deadlines.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that feels unlikely, you're not getting to Marcus Robinson back yet.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully after the buy, you still
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: day John Sterling so it's you're just in a really really tough spot right now and I'm not sure you know I guess maybe you thought you could trade for Terry McLaren you know he was a name that people brought up but but he's hurt now and we're seeing like you added cooks and you know cooks took a few weeks to get going last year several weeks actually get going last year before we became Josh Allen's favorite target I've mentioned that but you know it did take several weeks and
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: I guess having a week to prepare, perhaps, without having Mike Evans, would give you a better chance, but still, I mean, it was really, really clear.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it sounds kind of crazy.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think if you cover another team, you're a fan of another team.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: If you watch Jamar Chase or you watch Jackson Smith and Jig Bevery Day or one of these guys, you're like, I wouldn't trade my guy for Mike Evans and you'd be right, you shouldn't.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: But in the same way, I don't think the Niners would trade Mike Evans for a year, just for one year, right?
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like as productive as he's been in this year, for any of those guys.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if that trade did come to be available, like you would do that deal on heartbeat, of course.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: But that trade's not going to be available.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: But the point I'm trying to make is just a way to say, like, in a way, the type of receiver he is too,
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: is more valuable to them because of how good he is in some of these one-on-one situations even when he's really well-covered and they just missed it desperately, missed it desperately in the second half.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: So, like to me, that's the biggest story of the 49ers right now is Mike Evans.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: If you miss his a week, you're going, okay, you know, you take a breath.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime you hear Achilles, you just terrified that it could be something more than that.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: As for Brock Perti and the offense, they were cooking up until they got stopped late.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: They got stopped late in the drive in the red zone deep in the red zone.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I think one thing that I do wonder about them, and I've got a stat with on them that I call putaway percentage with access to all the NFL play by playdate.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: You can kind of create your own stats.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I mentioned this stat a little bit the other day, but the 49ers coming into the game putaway
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: up by one score.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Do you score again?
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Make it a two score game or if you need to get a first down to end the game, do you end the game?
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't count situations where you just kneel on the ball at the end of the game.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers to me was the biggest reason they were one of the biggest reasons they were undefeated was that they were four for four and put away situations.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Get the ball up one score.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Other teams got a little life.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: What do you do?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: you not come back with a touchdown or a field goal, but you make it a two score game, right?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's the point.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: And they were over two in those situations against the commanders.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what was stunning.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, that's the moment where they stepped up so far this year.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I do wonder, it's still probably a little early for some of these like historical kind of percentage metric stats.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: There's one that has caught my eye so far this year
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: which is just how frequently you pass compared to the expected frequency in similar situations.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Do you pass more than most teams would pass in a situation?
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Do you run more than most teams would run in a situation?
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you one guess over the course of Kyle Shanahan's previous nine years
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: whether he ran more or passed more in expected passing situations, ding ding ding, he ran more.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: Think of it like this.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a hundred snaps and your stat is a negative stat, say it's negative five percent, that means you would pass it five less times than what's expected in that situation over the course of a hundred situations.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: If it's a positive five,
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: It means you throw it five more times in that situation on average.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the Niners in Kyle Shanahan's nine years have been negative, every single year in that category.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: They always throw it less than average, and not only do they throw it less than average in just normal game situations over the course of every situation, I have filtered those numbers to give me what happens when you are leading by one score in the fourth quarter.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: And what happens when you are leading by nine points or more?
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: in the fourth quarter and in all of those stats and this is why I say it's still early right because you don't these are a lot of now broken out situations the 49ers pass rate is up way up over Kyle Shanahan's averages over Kyle Shanahan's expected numbers based on the history and they're up over you know overly average like I could let's see here real quick I should have had this.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: ready, rush yards over expected blah blah blah, let me go to Kyle Shanahan and just I'm just curious now what the actual number is so far this year and where the rank is passed right over expected.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers this year are third in the NFL.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I don't talk a lot about these advanced about these, you know, metrics in this way, but they are third in the NFL in past rate over expected just over normal situations.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, that's.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's eye opening.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: They are how about this?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: They are below average below zero when up by nine in the fourth quarter, but it's still higher by far than Kyle's average over his nine years.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: Last year they actually were.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: They were around the, around the same in this category, but again, it's very early for that.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's only, you know, there, there haven't been enough snaps for it.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're only run 24 plays up by nine or more in the fourth quarter.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it's early, but I say all of that to say, I wonder if it's not just that he trusts Brock more, but it feels like maybe he's trying to break tendencies.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think one thing about Kyle
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: is that he is, I do think he's really interested in breaking his water my tendencies, how do I break my tendencies and prevent myself from being predictable or make it so I can predict what the other team is going to do based on what my tendencies are.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a, you know, from what I understand of him, that is a big part of the way he coaches, that, you know, I think he'd probably with most coaches, doesn't get talked about a lot, because it's hard to tell always to
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: what is going on.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: But I say all that to say, it got a little weird.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: It got a little weird in the second half.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I think it was a result of a few things.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was a result of not having my heavens, not having just a receiving core that that you're fully comfortable with.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, the nighters were in position to go up big.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: late in that third quarter about midway through the third quarter and then Washington blitzed on third and three and Frankie Louvre with the linebacker blitz and then stopped kind of and knocked the ball down and at the line of scrimmage and Christian McAfrey was open to the left and the footnotch settled through the field goal but you thought all right it's 23 to 20 well then Washington scores a touchdown that honors get it back at the end of the third quarter
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: up twenty three ten and this is exactly where last week against the atle they put together their best drive the season this was uh... different they don't first down is the play was talking about earlier were brain and cooks they got three guys all running deep routes on first down and that's why we shocked in that spot they didn't run the football because the drive before they'd run run
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Ron, it was like McCaffrey left with a toss.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: McCaffrey right with a toss.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: McCaffrey up the middle first down.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: Kittle explosive.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: Katelyn black run.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: Katelyn black run.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: Sneak.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: McCaffrey catch.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: McCaffrey run.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: So they were like, that driving the third quarter where they almost, you know, they got stalled out after that Louvre knocked down.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: They were committed to the run.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: And part of the deal last we can see at the end of the third quarter was they got committed to the run.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: Well up 23 to 10, this is where I'm like, is he trying to, what's he doing, is he breaking a tendency here?
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's got cooks, and I think lock ins and kittles all run and deep on first down and cooks and kittles, you know, there's just nothing.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: They got, they got seven to block six on a blitz.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: and pretty hits his back foot on the seven-step drop, and nobody's open.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: No one's even looking at him when he hits his back foot, partly because I think Cooks can almost run into each other.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I have to, I just assume it was Cooks.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: So then it's like, okay, second in 19, and he throws it to McAfrey in the flat to get nine back.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: and then it's 3rd and 11 and that's classic Mike Evans territory I mean Evans had three catches in the game and they were all massive catches like 54 yards and 24 yards and 18 yards whatever it was and I think we're up now to what 25 of 27 catches for Mike Evans have gone for first downs
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's just it's crazy like there is no doubt who you're going to and Kyle Shanahan said it Last week that Shannon that that Evans is the guy that you go.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what the read is you're throwing to Mike Evans.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, third and eleven This is the time and still Brock almost made a great play because he had pressure off the edge He steps up.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: He hits the brakes.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: He tries to float at the George.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: It was it really was almost a great throw in catch and then you know the safety had his eye on Brock the whole way 39 Reeves
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: And he came up and blocked and knocked it away and then you had the crazy Luke McAfrey almost them off, but it wasn't enough.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Plant will talk about special teams.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: So you know, then they scored touchdown and then you get it back again.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: And now you're really in crime.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's a one score game.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's 23, 17 and Brock scrambles on first down.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're okay.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: Second and four could shape, you know, nine under nine minutes to go in the game.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: And again, you just don't have a lot.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: When you really, I watched all these drives on the alt-22 on Monday morning, first thing Monday morning, and, you know, Brock's in trouble because they get a doff-a-o-way comes off the edge on this second and four Kyle Shanna Henson after the game.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: They expected a run blitz.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: They got a run blitz, and what he said was the hot route got caught up.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: watching it, I think he wanted to go to George, and there was nothing.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: He couldn't get to him in time because George got jammed isn't the word, but just got met by a linebacker.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, you get sacked, and now it's 3rd and 10 at the 30, and
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: He misses McAfrey out in front on another kind of there was traffic around him.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: It just it lost a little bit of comfort Maybe became a little challenging didn't get out and make his many plays There's a good thing McAfrey got his hand on the ball because it might have been an interception if he didn't
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: And this is, this was a critical game where you throw a pick in this game and that you might lose it.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, from that perspective, and Brock did a lot of really good things in the first half, but it just felt like throwing the football on 1st and 10 up by 13.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: That shocked me and it didn't feel like historically what they would do.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I wonder if they're still trying to find the sweet spot between, we're more aggressive than we trust Brock and we're going for the kill shot.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: You have by 13 like you just ran the ball really effectively down into the red zone mostly.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: How about stick with that and keep the clock moving?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, you know, this team loves the blitz and you're good against the blitz, but you don't really have that like, Mike Evans is a one man blitz beater.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't have as many receivers out there you trust and you know, it felt like that's where it got weird.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's where it got weird was that possession up by 13 on first down.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it's so easy, Nick, play calls and like,
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just, you know, I say it in conjunction with noticing that they are throwing it more than they normally do in passing in passing situations and it's, that's great.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's a passing league, baby.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: But there are moments where moments, that's not what's called for, you know?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I'm sure there's more explanation to it.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, watching it again, that's how it felt.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like, where's the run game?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: And watching, again, that is how it felt.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, then Mustafa makes a great play.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: My luck Mustafa will talk about him in the defense.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: Made an amazing play on the goal line, but you just knew there was still time.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: Washington had used thankfully one of its timeouts before that fourth down play, so they only had two, so they stopped it a couple of times.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's a six point game and you know me Dan Quinn and and Jane Dale's are trying to get the guy in the field goal range except Jane Dale's and Dan Quinn knew it was a six point game and the 49ers you know made some big plays on defense and and and want it but it did feel to me.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: Last week like it took him too long to get to the run game and Seattle again You go play by play you get one sack here like now we can't run so it's so easy for things to get thrown off But you know again, I just think up by 13 You just ran the ball effectively.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: You got a bunch of receivers out there that are just learning and Yeah, and you're running the ball well.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I know they think it's like they think that we think that I I And I get it.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: you know you've got so much more information and it's established but that's that to me is where that's the if you could pinpoint one play that's where it happened let's talk about this defense because it was crazy like at times and this is the story every week you're like I I'm seeing explosives all over the field early in the game that like 56 or 65% of their
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: plays at halftime.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: Washington's came on two big explosive past plays.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's it.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: So you got all these concerns.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like what is going on?
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're also making a ton of plays.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the 49ers now through six weeks of the season, what they had six sacks in the first four weeks.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: They had nine sacks in the last two weeks, five against Seattle four a month and a night against the commanders that's 15.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: They had 20 all last year.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: So they're front specifically their defensive line has looked excellent.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was interesting last night in the post game Tim Kawakami made a comment about Ramella Heights speed and I felt it yesterday and we've talked about it.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: We have been open about it
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: In training camp, I was like, I'm not, I'm not, where's Ramello height?
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not feeling him.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: In the preseason, same thing.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: Early in this season, same thing.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's not the same thing anymore.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: The last two weeks, you have felt Ramello height.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: He has felt fast, which is, you know, that's his main attribute is speed.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: and you have felt him on the field he hit Sam Darnold last week just after he threw the ball hard early in this game he did the same thing the Jane Daniels and I just thought okay maybe maybe this thing maybe it has turned the corner with him and it definitely feels like he has taken a step same for Grace and Halton the you know so those two guys the draft up front on the defensive line has been been
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you realized you knew you were going to rely on those guys, especially your Melalite.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: It was more about like Ramele's going to drop into coverage.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you quite realized even when you made the pact because you thought Bosa would be around how necessary those two players would be and they have really stepped up the last two weeks.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: And it's, you know, I think you would say the same thing.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: the two safeties have gotten specifically Mustafa and Seagull have gotten better this year and Seagull was playing a ton, Mustafa couldn't get on the field except for on special teams when he came back from injury because Seagull's playing so well and then Seagull gets hurt and Mustafa is doing a little bit everything and he's not just hitting hard, he's also covering
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: he made the big tackle to save the game and the game against the c-hawks two weeks ago, he makes a huge hit on third down in this game, he had some punishing hits on receivers, and then he had the pass break up on fourth and three that was massive.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: His tackle on
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: on on third down.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: There are just plays that you see the whole just open up and you can see a guy that's going to run through it.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then sometimes there is just a stunning play and Molok Mustafa made a stunning play.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: You see a lot of stunning plays in the past game.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: Less so do you see him in the run game.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing happened last week to the 49ers.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: Came on black.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: I thought was going to turn the corner and then Nicky Manwari just crushed him in the backfield trying to come around the edge on a toss play for a loss of three.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: It was the same thing.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the the Niner's defense, they might get fined every week.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's worth it to us to you and me.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not our money.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's worth it if you don't start getting flagged for it.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I said at the beginning, I'll say it again.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: I do wonder, you know, if you get and find every week, the officials know that, the officials know who is getting
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: penalized, they don't want to be the one's missing illegal hits hits to defenseless receivers, that sort of thing.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: Mollick Mustafa feels like he plays in a different era and Trent Williams made the point after the game to say it's not just the hitting, it's the coverage skills too, because in a way it does feel like a home run hit or sometimes like it's all or nothing, he's going to crush you but he might miss.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: But right now he is just making plays all over the field.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: So that defensive line repeatedly has stepped up They have pressure the quarterback.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: They are second a quarterback where he Morris has been the best higher the Shanna Han era.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like and there have been some great hires and some really good defensive coordinators and some amazing coaches on offense
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: but he has completely changed the game for them.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Developing your own player finding ways to get the players you drafted to be better players is the key to the whole thing.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're scouting department can love a guy, but you have to actually get it out of them.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be able to coach him up.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be patient and willing to coach him up and find what a player does well and make the most of it.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: Not just say, here's what we do.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Can you do that?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: You better do that.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: and to see Marky Seagull basically was benched most of 2025 and then came back into the year and now this year has been, you know, playing his best football and the same for Monarch Mustafa.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, it's really incredible.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, he's got it.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: You just hope there's not going to be a flag in a critical spot.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: There were a lot of flags in this game.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them weird,
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I'm not a believer.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't subscribe.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: You're never going to hear me say, uh, it was fourth down and the game was clearly a fish was one to keep the game close.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's too much happening too fast.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's how they operate.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now they miss calls, no question about it.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: And there was a lot of chat.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just a, like, a lot of, it's felt like a lack of, um, um,
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: Conviction with some of the calls that were made in that game because they would throw a penalty and then talk and the other guy would come over and they talk and then talk some more And then okay, here's the call And then be another call and they talk and they talk some more and they pick up the flag.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, never mind and That's what it's I'm not like I'm not interested in it annoys me When broadcasters complain about how much time something is taking
- 32:56[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think it's fair to point out when it's like, well, are you guys unsure of the call?
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: What's going on?
- 33:02[SPEAKER_00]: This is you're about to make a critical car.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: You get through that flag.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: You better be sure.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: So you could argue a collaboration's great.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: Collaboration is one of these things that always sounds great.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, collaboration's great.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, making decisions with convictions also great making full speed mistakes is sometimes better You're not going to be perfect and if somebody's wrong then tell them they're wrong and let's fix the situation But collaboration can be a little bit overrated when nobody's sure of anything is the same thing with like being a great listener.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just a great listener
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but at some point you got to make a decision like Steve Jobs didn't give a bleep What the audience thought about what his phone should do he just said here's the product your welcome And you know taking customer feedback is nice and getting Some surveys out is great, but how that you believe in what you do and do it I always hate when when when like people say like what topics do you want us to talk about
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: What the audience already tells you, they either listen or they don't listen, they watch you, they don't watch, don't ask them for ideas, they've got a daytime job.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: This is your job to figure out what to talk about.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that stuff just drives me crazy.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: And so it just felt like there were times that you got replay assist, maybe they're killing some time for replay assist, you know, the Rams got a hose at the end of their game with the Arizona call.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: If they can, if they can apply, I disagree with that rule.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: We're like, and Mike Prairie explained it well at the end of the Cardinal Rams game, where they can take off a penalty for an illegal hit hit to the helmet of a defenseless receiver.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: If there's no contact, but if there's contact and a judgment call, they can't take it off.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: which in a sense I get like you start on and off and all the judgment calls and it just slows the game down and you don't want that.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't mind if there was some rule that's like you know in the last two minutes of the game in those situations you can get it right even though in that case it benefited the 40 miles but I don't care like I'd rather you get it right but if they can find you later for it
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: then they should be able to change a call with replay assist.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: If they can go back to the video and go, you weren't flagged, but you are fine for an illegal hit.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: If they can do that, then they should be able to overturn a call with replay assist, you know, in those situations where we're a, or a hitsy legal.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I'm talking about something that would have hurt the 49ers, not benefited the 49ers.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be calls missed.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the way it is.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: It sucks.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's the deal.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: Humans, mistakes.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the first to put my hand up on that, especially this week, but
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: It did feel like a lot.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it felt like a lot.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: I bring it all up to say it felt like a lot I'm just not the oh, they're throwing it to keep the game close guy I think it's far too hard to officiate a game to also bring that into play if the night is in loss to game What we would be bringing into play is the fact that a Pinedaro missed his third extra point of the season If Washington scores that touchdown lay that's a six point game the extra point wins it now It's no guarantee they make it because their guy bangled off the upright
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: But that would be a massive story right now.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: If Washington had won the game because of an extra point or a misdexter point, who knows?
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they go for two at the end of the game and try to end it.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'd surprise me.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe they would have, maybe they would have.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: If three missed field goals this year, a 52 yarder, a 54 yarder that was blocked against Denver, and then missed a 52 yarder against Seattle last week, you know, not great, but those are 50 plus yard kicks, the extra points.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Those are killer.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's missed three and it,
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's alarming.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm officially alarmed.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's alarming.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: Not our special teams, you know, last year like how a print poyer.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I do think he's a really good coach.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: And the special teams has gone from a strength, gone from a major weakness, to like a strength-ish, to now, kind of, Coralist Whiteman's good.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: Almost got one blocked.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: Again, second week in a row, they've almost got one blocked.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Whiteman's been good.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the penalty and a serenneal maybe got pushed in the back didn't see McAfrey and serenne took ownership didn't see Luke McAfrey wait for the fair catch.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: The the cowing situation.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: Is speaking of alarming is alarming.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: They don't really Xavier Smith, I guess It could bring him up You know, counting runs a lot of routes without getting the football So you could argue what's the harm and bring it up a different receiver But at least he's been out there running the routes.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: I at least he's been in this offense Doesn't seem like there's a ton of trust there because he doesn't see the ball but You know right now in special teams they got a problem.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what look McAfrey doesn't have a catch
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't have a catch on offense all year, um, he, you know, he was pretty highly drafted and he is clearly falling out of favor as a returner, you know, they're not cutting them because he's their top returner, he's their top pump returner.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: He looked comfortable back there, um,
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, I don't know, maybe you get him, but it's a problem now, two weeks in a row, and then I think it compounds because you make the mistake, you feel that you muff it, you pick it up, put yourself on April, and then probably fair catch one after that that you shouldn't fair catch.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: Fair catch one that you probably should return.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: That situation is serious.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's great.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: when you're 6 and oh.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's probably the most remarkable part of this team in me this year is that it has been far from perfect.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: The most injured team in the league, you know, growing pains in the past game because of just the receiver situation, young players playing on defense, Drake Greenlaw suspended for the game,
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: At times, you feel like you're getting gashed and then at times you're making plays.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: Special teams has been a roller coaster and you're undefeated.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: And not only that, your division has been helping you out, pretty remarkable.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, what's coming up this week?
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just talk about that for a second in the league for the Rams.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: They go to the Raiders.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Raiders are three and three, but Raiders are good.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: Raiders of lost three and a row after they've won three and a row.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_00]: They beat teams.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: They should beat and they, you know, they've lost games that you go lost by a score to Kansas City by three lost got blown out on the road in New England.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then came back home responded.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: Could have beat the bills.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a good team.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: They host the Rams this week.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams have a bunch of injuries And then they're Seattle and Seattle is just I mean their schedules rough, too.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: They got they had the Niners on On a regular week then they play the Thursday game in Denver now they play Sunday night at home against Kansas City and then they play Monday night against the Bears
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: so they like they're not I know they're not you know after the short rest they get extended rest but that's just to me it's it's weird just being out of your rhythm out of your schedule so you know I think you had to assume those teams are going to win their games you can't assume anything but
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: right now, uh, a three game lien that visions pretty crazy.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: Minnesota is going to Minnesota's on their buy or yeah, they this was their buy they're going to play Indianapolis this week, you know, so they'll they're five and they got a chance to get to six and all is to force Buckner about to be a 49er maybe.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: maybe Chris Baller got fired.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, what's going to happen in Philly by the end of the year, right now, someone brought it up.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: We've been talking about with the Niners Raider game get flexed into Sunday night and Chris Babcock said to me last night, the booth he goes, is Niners Eagles going to get flexed out, which I thought was a very interesting, interesting idea.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's week 18, our week 17.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: And there are some other game that Niners Eagles is obviously a great
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: And the NFC East is just so wide open that even with all the issues the Eagles are having, they could still be in the mix by the time we get to the end of the year.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: Someone's going to have to win that division.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: New York's three-two and one, Philly's two and four, Dallas is two and four, and Washington's one-four and one.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: So if I had the bet right now, I'd say that game is still on Sunday night, the Eagles play the Cowboys this week, so that'll give some clarity, then they play the commanders, then they play the Giants.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: The NFC East, they're going to play three straight games against the division, and even without Jalen Hurts, they could hit their buy week 10.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they'd be feeling okay.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: All things considered.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: But that week, week 17, there are some other really good games.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: So far too early to say, you know, if you're holding a ticket to that game, something to be aware of, but bears lions is that Sunday, week 17?
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: uh... what else do we have that was good uh... giants cowboys i mean that could be for the NFC east right you know if giants cowboys looks like that's for the NFC east or it's coming down in the last couple weeks and it's those two and then and the eagles are not a part of it then i mean you can go ahead and pencil in giants cowboys you can it assume the swap
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles, sorry, not Eagles, Bangle's Ravens is that week.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos Pats is that week.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: That one I have a harder time seeing, although the game is in New England.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, Bangle's Ravens, you know, they love.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't checked every Sunday night, Monday night game, the FC North.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, they, you know, Sunday night football loves the FC North.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: The long, the week before it's Cowboys Jax on Sunday night.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: Steelers jags a couple of other jags are going to be get ready for the jags twice in the last three weeks last four weeks of the season on Sunday night football
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: which is fine, they got the bills and paths down the stretch.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: I might have been looking at the wrong.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_00]: I might not actually been, was it, jacks, toys?
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, we can, I'll let you do that.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_00]: Now, one of the jacks is a Monday night.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, okay, that'll do it for this.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, quick turnaround now this week for the 49ers.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: Atlanta will leave for Atlanta on Friday hasn't been an early flight yet for the nighters.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: This is their first early flight since Australia, meaning Seattle was a Sunday to our Saturday departure for a Sunday game.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a slightly longer trip and you know a team that a team that's, to me, a little bit like Washington probably, you know, the head coach is better.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 43:58[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting, you know, three weeks now to the deadline.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: So you just start thinking about who's got, who's got what, and what do you want.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: And the, the Forest Buckner would definitely be on that list.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_00]: But all of a sudden, it feels like maybe receivers the bigger issue.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's it for this.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for hanging.
