- Dana (AI host): You leave a meeting with a follow-up to write, and the phone keyboard is the only thing you've got. Rob (AI host): The HubSpot mobile app can now draft that email with Breeze, right inside the composer. Dana (AI host): Stick around for the fields that make the draft better, and one that only shows up on iPhone. Narrator (AI voice): This is Sidekick's What Just Shipped, presented by Sidekick Strategies. Narrator (AI voice): Your hosts, Rob and Dana, are AI. Narrator (AI voice): The voices are synthetic, the research is real, and humans check every claim before it reaches you. Dana (AI host): Hi, we're Dana and Rob, your AI hosts. Dana (AI host): Our main source is HubSpot's help article on using Breeze Assistant in the mobile app, updated in late October. Rob (AI host): Okay, so today I'm playing a hypothetical account manager who drives between client sites all day and answers email from the truck. Dana (AI host): Perfect. Dana (AI host): Why it matters: the best follow-up goes out while the conversation is fresh, and this puts a first draft on your phone. Rob (AI host): Who can turn this on? Dana (AI host): HubSpot lists all products and plans, on the iOS and Android apps. Dana (AI host): One requirement: Give users access to Breeze Assistant has to be turned on in your AI settings. Rob (AI host): So an admin flips that first. Dana (AI host): Right. And user permissions decide which actions Breeze can take for you. Dana (AI host): HubSpot also recommends keeping the app updated. Rob (AI host): Anything an admin should read first? Dana (AI host): HubSpot points you to how Breeze Assistant uses your account context and responds to prompts. Dana (AI host): It also notes you can manage AI feature access in your AI settings and configure what data is shared. Rob (AI host): And for the security questions? Dana (AI host): HubSpot points to its AI Trust FAQs and AI Model Cards for details on security controls, data use, and compliance. Rob (AI host): And is this the same Breeze as the chat assistant? Dana (AI host): The same help article covers both. Dana (AI host): There's the Breeze Assistant chat, and there's this email draft tool inside the composer. Dana (AI host): We'll start with the composer, then come back to the chat. Rob (AI host): Okay, I'm in the truck. Where do I tap? Dana (AI host): Open the app, tap Menu, then Contacts in the left sidebar, and tap the contact's name. Dana (AI host): On the contact record, tap the email icon. Rob (AI host): Then the composer opens. Dana (AI host): Yes. At the bottom right of the composer, tap the AI icon. Dana (AI host): That opens the Content assistant. Rob (AI host): And what does it ask me? Dana (AI host): A short form, not a blank box. Dana (AI host): Email type is first, where you pick the kind of email. Dana (AI host): Then, What are you selling, for the product or service. Dana (AI host): Then, Who are you selling to, for the recipient. Rob (AI host): Keep going. Dana (AI host): Then, Describe what you want to communicate in this email, for your main points. Dana (AI host): Then Tone of email, and Email language. Rob (AI host): That's a lot of fields for a parking lot. Dana (AI host): True, but for tone and language you select an option instead of typing. Rob (AI host): Let me try one, hypothetically. Email type, whatever fits a follow-up. Rob (AI host): What am I selling, seasonal lawn care. Who am I selling to, a property manager. Rob (AI host): And the key message, the quote is ready and spring slots are filling up. Dana (AI host): Then you'd pick a tone of email, and a language. Rob (AI host): Language is a real choice? Dana (AI host): Yes. Email language lets you select the language for the generated email. Rob (AI host): And the iPhone one you teased? Dana (AI host): Text length. Dana (AI host): You pick how long the email should be, and HubSpot says that option is on iOS only. Rob (AI host): Then I'm ready to generate? Dana (AI host): Tap Generate. Then you review the suggested subject line and email body. Dana (AI host): If it misses, tap Regenerate for a different draft. Rob (AI host): And when it looks right? Dana (AI host): Tap Insert to put it in the composer, or tap the copy icon to grab the text. Dana (AI host): Then keep editing by hand, or send it when you're ready. Rob (AI host): Why would I copy instead of insert? Dana (AI host): HubSpot offers both. Dana (AI host): The copy icon puts the content on your clipboard, so you can paste it where you need it. Rob (AI host): So it never sends on its own. Dana (AI host): Not from this flow. The steps end with you editing or sending. Rob (AI host): Hypothetically, my best key message is the one detail the client actually said. Dana (AI host): That's the field to spend your time on. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Hey, it's George B. Thomas from Sidekick Strategies. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Full honesty, this is my AI voice clone, made with my permission. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): A drafting tool only helps if your reps actually live in HubSpot. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Sidekick's Sales Hub training skips the CRM theory. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): We train inside your portal, on your deal stages and real contacts, and sales development reps, account executives, and managers each get training built for their day. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Then we follow up on adoption metrics. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Find Sales Hub Training under services at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Rob (AI host): Now, that's one way in. Is there another? Dana (AI host): There is. Breeze Assistant itself is in the app. Dana (AI host): On iOS, tap Ask Breeze in the lower right. Dana (AI host): On Android, tap the search bar at the bottom. Rob (AI host): And I just type? Dana (AI host): Or talk. Tap the microphone icon to dictate, then tap the checkmark. Dana (AI host): You can also tap the add icon to attach a photo, a file, or something from HubSpot Files. Rob (AI host): Give me an example prompt. Dana (AI host): HubSpot's own example is, Summarize this proposal and draft a follow-up email. Dana (AI host): Another is, Extract the contact details from this business card. Rob (AI host): Nice. And that draft goes where? Dana (AI host): Into an artifact. Dana (AI host): Tap the artifact card to review it, share it, for example as a PDF, or edit the email and send it to the contact if you want. Rob (AI host): Can I pick up a chat I started at my desk? Dana (AI host): Through projects. Dana (AI host): Tap the three dots in the upper right, select Projects, tap a project, then New chat, or tap a previous conversation to continue. Rob (AI host): Before a meeting, can it help me prep? Dana (AI host): Yes. Dana (AI host): For meetings synced with HubSpot, it summarizes the associated contact, company, deal, and ticket, plus related emails, calls, and notes. Rob (AI host): Skeptic hat. Our research says you tap a Generate draft button and type one short prompt. Dana (AI host): HubSpot's article shows an AI icon that opens the Content assistant with those fields, then a Generate button, and Regenerate for a new version. Rob (AI host): Our write-up also says you can start from a contact, deal, or company record. Dana (AI host): We couldn't confirm deals or companies. Dana (AI host): HubSpot's steps only walk through a contact record, so start there. Rob (AI host): Noted, contacts first. Dana (AI host): Alright, here's your four-step plan, hypothetical account manager. Rob (AI host): Step one: ask your admin to check Give users access to Breeze Assistant in AI settings. Dana (AI host): Step two: update the HubSpot app on your phone. Rob (AI host): Step three: from a contact record, tap the email icon, then the AI icon, and fill in the key message first. Dana (AI host): Step four: tap Generate, review it, then Insert and edit before you send. Rob (AI host): Account manager's verdict: the form beats a blank screen, but the facts still come from me. Dana (AI host): Your facts, Breeze's first draft. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's help article and our research are linked in the show notes, and there's more at Sidekick Strategies dot com.
