- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_02]: Fuck you!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_02]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:05[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Beat till you see it podcast, where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also Logan, prize instructor, and fit this business coach.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: I've trained thousands of people around the world, and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_04]: Welcome, be it Pod Squad.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_04]: It is September fifth Friday.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's fucking a Friday and I'm obviously Brad here stepping in for Leslie for the first part of this episode.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_04]: She's going to take over the second half of this episode here where we're bringing your wins and she's going to celebrate her win.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_04]: But we're going to start today off a little bit differently with an affirmation in a way that I think less is going to get a kick out of a hope you really enjoy it.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_04]: So feel free to sing along.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_04]: This is an encouraging, amazing song that I've often drawn inspiration from.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_04]: And I think you're gonna love it.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_03]: I've paid my dues.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_03]: Time after time.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: I've done my sentence.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: But committed no crime and bad mistakes.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_03]: I've made a few.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_03]: I've had my sheriffs and kicked in my face, but I've come through And on and on and on We are the champions, my friends
- 1:57[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll keep on fighting till the end, dirt, dirt, dirt.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_03]: As we are the champions, we are the champions.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: No time for losers because we are the champions of the world.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_04]: But you know it, you hear it in the background, you are singing that song too.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_04]: I love the song because it's very relatable, you know, even though it's queen and their epic rock stars.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_04]: But listening to those lyrics listening to that song is something that I've always found relatable.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I've paid my dues time after time.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_04]: I've done my sentence, but I committed no crime.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_04]: How often do we feel like that where we are feeling like I'm doing everything right?
- 2:53[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, things still aren't going my way.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_04]: And maybe along the way, you know, and bad mistakes, I've made a few.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe along the way we've made some bad mistakes.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_04]: I've had my share of sand kicked in my face, but I've come through.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_04]: And as a small business owners, you might feel like that, too.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_04]: But you will come through this.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_04]: And I wanted to celebrate that chorus with you.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_04]: We are the champions, my friends.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we're gonna keep fighting.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_04]: And that's the thing when you, when you are, doesn't even have to be just in business, but in life.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_04]: You know, one foot in front of the other, y'all, keep on going consistency, consistency, you got this.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_04]: You can do this.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: We are the champions.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_04]: And we're the champions of the world.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_04]: So really excited to have you joining us this week for this fucking Friday.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to pass the torch here on the Leslie to celebrate a few of your wins and then hopefully, you know, you're going to take encouragement and send in your own win to us as well.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: So we can celebrate you on an upcoming fucking Friday.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_04]: So thanks for being here today.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: All right, now for the next part of the episode, where I share a win of yours.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, win of yours.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: We had a couple wins from most of Capitano's who will go through these.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: Sit up for myself on a client, try to bully me.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: She didn't think I should charge her for a late cancel because she had been a client since the founding owner.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: and she was good friends with her.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: She also told me that she never got any warm and fuzzy feelings for me and that I wasn't friendly towards her.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: I stood in my ground and she told me she's going to pretend the conversation didn't happen and proceeded to buy a twelve pack and book private with one of my instructors.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm counting it as a win.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I just want to say it is interesting being a business owner.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: The request that people ask or a demand or think that they're where they aren't titled to.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: It really does show like I don't know how this person would like live their life but clearly there was some sort of luxury or maybe their family was gifted things or given things based on a last name or whatever but here is a deal.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: When you agree to a frequent or patronize an establishment, they have rules.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: And when you participate in that business, you are agreeing to participate with the rules.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you don't like that, you don't have to patronize the establishment.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's why we live where we all have a place like there's more than one Pilates do.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's more than one lunch place.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's more than one sandwich place.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's extremely rare in most of the world where you listen to podcasts that you are the only thing that exists.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: And even if you are, you still are worthy of having rules and boundaries for how people can participate with you.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that like she's been a client with the original owner, that's cool.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: And that she didn't get warm and fuzzy feelings for you.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's not your fault.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: You weren't creating a best friend environment.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: You were creating a business that can be people safe and have a place where they can call home for their applies practice for years and years to come.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: So a way to go on the list of ways to name yourself.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's hilarious.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: It says, OK, well, this conversation didn't happen.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like interesting.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes we do a mirror for people.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: OK, you have another win.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: So my win, I'm on the road now on our way to a family reunion.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: I needed this break.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: I've been teaching thirty five to forty five hours a week for the last three months.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: I seriously thought about just staying home and letting my family go.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I remembered what Ella said about you're not helping anyone if you burn yourself out.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, we are on the way.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: Stop to pick up lunch, taking Brad and Leslie with me on the road.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: She's wearing a shirt with Brad and I own on it.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: I love that so much.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for Melissa for making this a win so we could talk about this as a group.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: Seriously, you're a hub to anyone burnt out.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: You are so not helpful to anyone.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: One of my friends from a group that I was in, I, the time I'm recording this, I'm seeing that her husband's in the hospital and she and her kids like flew immediately to go see him.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: He was in a different state than where they live.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: And after about thirty six hours, she flew the kids back home because taking care of the kids and him and herself is like not an option, right?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: And the hospitals in the place
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: where they can feel stress-free and where little children can relax either.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: So she did something for herself, so she's in burnout, right?
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: So everyone can be protected.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: There's no right answers in those situations.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: You might have done something differently, but the point I'm sharing with that story is Melissa's story with you guys.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's always a reason to not go on the trip.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's always a reason to not start the thing.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's always a reason to not take the day off or not go out.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: And if what the thing that you are saying you don't want to do is use to fill your cup and you're just tired, go do it because it's going to fill your cup.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to feel your cup at home.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to find things to do at home.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to relax.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to rest when you're working that hard in your business and there are seasons for that.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: You must make sure you're taking care of yourself.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: So Melissa Kudos, you hats off to you and thank you for sharing this win so that other people can be inspired that that.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: That is something that they can do.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: So if you are feeling like close to burnout now, my love is like, what is the thing that you are thinking you shouldn't do?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Are you already making excuses?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh, um, you know that October trip.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: I shouldn't do it.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: I had somebody reach out about the Cambodia retreat.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, I really want to go.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is like my dream retreat.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: But I just started a new job.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like five months before the retreat.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, totally understand, not every job is reasonable.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'll have vacation time built up by five months, but also, like you're not gonna lose your job by saying, hey, by the way, in October, I need one week off to take care of myself.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: If you show your work that you are a better employee after resting, they are going to let you do that.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: Most places do.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you work for an asshole.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: I can't help you there.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: a win of ours.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: So we actually released an app this summer guys.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: We did it.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: Our team get it and hit the deadlines that we'd set for ourselves.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: It works.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: People are using it.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: They love it.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: So we've already had an app for OPC and people can take classes.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to be a member to use the app.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can listen to podcasts on it.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: There's like free tutorials.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: You can watch on it.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's some free challenges.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're a member, you can be in the community.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: You can chat with us.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: You can
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: Take your classes on the app, mix it really fun to taste, take yourself wherever your phone can go or your iPad can go.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: So we've been working on that for Profile Pilates.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it's beautiful.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's really simple.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's really easy for our members to use.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: So agency members instead of being in Slack now have a one place to go to chat with community to share their wins to have a moment to watch videos for me that are notes of inspiration to see when the next office hours is to book coaching calls to watch courses all in one place.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: And for seven, a half years prior to this,
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: they had to go to a website and to Slack and you know all the difference up and so we're you know we're so grateful that the way the technology has gone that we have this opportunity to do this.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really happy with the way the app is.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: It looks way people are using it.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just so proud.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: So this is one of those wins that months in the making and was a more of a team win than a me win, but you know I am someone who often doesn't like change.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: I know, it's kind of crazy.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: You think I love change the way I preach like you should change.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: Just act like you're already the person you want to be.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: But like I always worry about like, oh my God, we've to transition people from one thing to the other thing.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: Are they going to do it?
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they come.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: Are we going to lose people?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want people to have a bad time.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a lot that can go wrong in a transition.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: And we, you know, it's hand holding everybody is not the easiest thing to do.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Some people need it.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so I just am so grateful and so excited for what we've done.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: And now y'all, if you want to coach with us, you get to use an app.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: And it's great.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, they're still Zoom calls and things like that.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, really, really grateful for that, really, really proud of that huge win.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just glad I get to celebrate that with you.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, your affirmation, another affirmation, but one, that's a little easier.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: There is something in this world that only I can do.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: That is why I'm here.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: There is something in this world that only I can do.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: That is why I'm here.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: There's something in this world that only I can do that as I'm here.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know why I love this?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's because I literally tell our agency members all of the time you are the only person who can do what you do the way that you do it.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I have to say it's slower her people here.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: You are the only person who can do what you do the way that you do it.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: There are many people who went to the same training that I did in a thousand and eight and are the same age and have the same experience and we teach differently.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: There are people who say would Jay and Sandy and all these people and we all teach Pilates in theory the same way.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: And yet they'll be different than me always and I'll be different than them.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: So you are the only person who can do what you do the way that you do it.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're at.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: So never play small.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't help anyone.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: And until next time, be a TAC.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I got for this episode of The Beat Tell You See A Podcast.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: One thing that would help both myself and future listeners is for you to rate the show and leave a review.
