- 0:29I Hate Talking: Welcome to episode 100 of I Hate Talking.
- 0:32I Hate Talking: Hi everyone.
- 0:33I Hate Talking: So we got a few suggestions on our 100th episode.
- 0:38I Hate Talking: So, but I guess you have our word or phrase of the episode from one of those things.
- 0:43I Hate Talking: Yes.
- 0:45I Hate Talking: All right, so I have the word, or it's more of a phrase, and I want you to guess what it is.
- 0:50I Hate Talking: Tempus Fuji.
- 0:53I Hate Talking: Tempest, Fujit, Fujit, Fujit, yes, Tempest Fujit, Tempest Fujit.
- 1:02I Hate Talking: No, I have no idea.
- 1:04I Hate Talking: Is this another one of your phrases that it's not English?
- 1:08I Hate Talking: It is not English.
- 1:09I Hate Talking: It's true.
- 1:10I Hate Talking: It's Latin.
- 1:11I Hate Talking: Like your que sera sera.
- 1:13I Hate Talking: Yes, I like apparently like.
- 1:16I Hate Talking: Phrases or words that are not English, I suppose.
- 1:20I Hate Talking: I've never heard it and I have no idea what it means.
- 1:24I Hate Talking: All right, it's from the Latin translated, it means time flies, or literally it means time flies.
- 1:31I Hate Talking: Mm, time flies.
- 1:33I Hate Talking: That would be interesting if you said that to somebody.
- 1:37I Hate Talking: And please Yeah, like, If somebody says it's been a Long time since I've seen you, or some other phrase that indicates some passage of time and you just responded with, time flies.
- 1:51I Hate Talking: Yeah, I think I, time flies.
- 1:54I Hate Talking: I just like nod, yep, of course, time flies, I would definitely do a double take for a second.
- 2:00I Hate Talking: Yeah, it's actually probably a more apt description of time.
- 2:04I Hate Talking: Fleas instead of flies, I think so.
- 2:07I Hate Talking: What's the difference?
- 2:08I Hate Talking: Well, now you can teach me what's the difference between fleas and flies.
- 2:12I Hate Talking: Well, flies is not necessarily impart any particular Nuance in my opinion, it's sort of Neutral, it's not positive, it's not negative.
- 2:24I Hate Talking: Time flies.
- 2:26I Hate Talking: It just is a statement of fact.
- 2:29I Hate Talking: Yeah, it goes quickly like flies like you're when you fly in the airplane, it's really fast.
- 2:34I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 2:35I Hate Talking: That's what I've always thought, yes.
- 2:37I Hate Talking: But I'd still say it's not really.
- 2:39I Hate Talking: Particularly positive or negative.
- 2:42I Hate Talking: Time flies sounds more negative to me, like, It's gone, it's not coming back.
- 2:48I Hate Talking: It has departed and never to be seen again.
- 2:51I Hate Talking: But do you think tempest Fugit or time flies is a negative connotation word, like a negative phrase?
- 2:59I Hate Talking: Time flies.
- 3:00I Hate Talking: That's, no, I'm saying that it's neither positive nor negative.
- 3:04I Hate Talking: -- But -- do you think the idea of it's negative?
- 3:06I Hate Talking: No, because I think it's used in such a flippant manner when I hear the phrase time flies.
- 3:11I Hate Talking: OK, so I'm gonna backtrack, cause I think we're not on the same track.
- 3:15I Hate Talking: I'm saying when you think about like the past, is that a negative thing to be like, oh, it's gone now, and that's like a negative?
- 3:22I Hate Talking: No, not particularly.
- 3:25I Hate Talking: OK.
- 3:25I Hate Talking: Is it a negative for you?
- 3:27I Hate Talking: No, I think sometimes, um, one of the reasons I was thinking about this was something popped up in my memories the other day, and our kids were so little, it was just like really, really sweet time in our family's life.
- 3:42I Hate Talking: And it made me almost sad cause I missed it, like they were so little and we had such a good thing going and.
- 3:49I Hate Talking: Uh, yeah, I was sort of sad that.
- 3:52I Hate Talking: It was gone.
- 3:54I Hate Talking: But typically, I don't feel that way.
- 3:57I Hate Talking: So you're saying we don't have a good thing going now?
- 4:00I Hate Talking: We do, and maybe in.
- 4:04I Hate Talking: 8 years, I'll look back and be like, oh, that was a really good time.
- 4:08I Hate Talking: But at that time, I knew it was a really special sweet time.
- 4:13I Hate Talking: I, I knew it, and I felt it, and I still feel that way.
- 4:18I Hate Talking: If I could go back in time, I'd go back to that time, because it was a really, really sweet time.
- 4:23I Hate Talking: Interesting.
- 4:25I Hate Talking: You don't think about it, you wouldn't go back to 8 years ago.
- 4:29I Hate Talking: No, I don't think so.
- 4:32I Hate Talking: I don't particularly.
- 4:34I Hate Talking: I think that that is even possible.
- 4:37I Hate Talking: So therefore, perhaps I don't entertain that thought -- to begin -- with.
- 4:41I Hate Talking: But nonetheless, even if we could, I don't think I would because the future is where we are headed.
- 4:49I Hate Talking: Yeah, and it's a good time.
- 4:50I Hate Talking: I'm not trying to be negative right now.
- 4:51I Hate Talking: It's a good time right now, but my heart hurts for those moments.
- 4:56I Hate Talking: That was a time in our life where it was like every night we did dance parties with our kids in the living room.
- 5:02I Hate Talking: Just for like a whole 3 hour to 45 minutes every night we danced.
- 5:07I Hate Talking: And it was just so much fun.
- 5:10I Hate Talking: And everything we did was so funny to them.
- 5:13I Hate Talking: And uh, It just seemed easier, but I guess maybe at the time it didn't feel easier, maybe I forget.
- 5:22I Hate Talking: That is probably something that is true for Reminiscing about past experiences is that you are going to typically remember the good times and not the bad times, or even if you do remember times in general, you're going to remember the particular highlights and not the difficulties.
- 5:41I Hate Talking: Right.
- 5:42I Hate Talking: And so going, I mean, we've talked about that before, nostalgia, but going back to this word about time flies or time flies, I thought it was appropriate for our 100th episode, because the time has gone by super fast, I think.
- 5:56I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 5:57I Hate Talking: I wonder if our listeners think the same.
- 5:59I Hate Talking: It's been almost 2 years, cause we've done an episode every week, and in the beginning, we did a couple extra.
- 6:06I Hate Talking: That's why it's a little sooner than 2 years.
- 6:09I Hate Talking: That's true, we have some bonus episodes in there sprinkled in.
- 6:13I Hate Talking: Now, it is interesting to note when you search for time flies, Google tries to autocorrect it to time flies.
- 6:21I Hate Talking: But when you do search for time flies, It brings up that particular Latin phrase tempus fugit, and it is a Idiom in Latin that means time passes very quickly and irrevocably.
- 6:37I Hate Talking: So, yes, see, I think that does seem to be more of the emphasis with time flies versus then time flies.
- 6:45I Hate Talking: It's because it is.
- 6:47I Hate Talking: The passing of time that is irrevocable.
- 6:52I Hate Talking: But that's not negative, right?
- 6:54I Hate Talking: Irrevocable just means you can't go back.
- 6:56I Hate Talking: When it's set, it's set.
- 6:58I Hate Talking: Yeah, I suppose so.
- 7:00I Hate Talking: But you think of irrevocable as negative.
- 7:03I Hate Talking: I think I think of time fleeing and the nature of the irrevocability of it, that it's more and.
- 7:13I Hate Talking: It's like the way that it is.
- 7:16I Hate Talking: It has been.
- 7:16I Hate Talking: Set, and there's no going back.
- 7:20I Hate Talking: Mhm.
- 7:21I Hate Talking: I mean, which is true.
- 7:22I Hate Talking: I wonder how old our kids have to be before we show them.
- 7:28I Hate Talking: What's the movie?
- 7:30I Hate Talking: Back to the Future.
- 7:32I Hate Talking: Did I guess it?
- 7:34I Hate Talking: Oh wow, I was not expecting that.
- 7:36I Hate Talking: I was just saying that as a joke.
- 7:38I Hate Talking: Oh no, I don't think they'd like it right now.
- 7:41I Hate Talking: I think they'd be bored pretty quickly through it.
- 7:43I Hate Talking: Uh, I wonder how age appropriate it is.
- 7:47I Hate Talking: Yeah, I need a few more years for the younger ones at least.
- 7:51I Hate Talking: Yeah, aside from that, like, I think you're right.
- 7:54I Hate Talking: Other than having A time traveling device, it is set.
- 8:01I Hate Talking: I mean, every step you take, right?
- 8:04I Hate Talking: Like, you walk out of the room, OK, you can go back in the room, but not.
- 8:10I Hate Talking: At the same moment, at the same time.
- 8:14I Hate Talking: Some things you can redo, but you're always redoing it.
- 8:18I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 8:20I Hate Talking: And maybe that's the difference between flies and fleas in my mind is flies is more a description of the passage of time that it goes quickly, whereas Fleeing is it's gone, not necessarily to be recovered.
- 8:35I Hate Talking: So it's not necessarily a description of the speed at which it passes.
- 8:40I Hate Talking: But the fact that it passes, never to be recovered again.
- 8:44I Hate Talking: OK, I can picture that, yeah, cause flying, it's like more linear, like you're going straight forward.
- 8:51I Hate Talking: But fleeing, it's almost like you're looking back like, uh oh, I can't get back there, keep running.
- 8:56I Hate Talking: Correct, yes, take a picture of that.
- 8:59I Hate Talking: So I think, um, again, it's super appropriate for our 100th episode, cause this has gone by so fast, but also we spent the week and On a vacation.
- 9:12I Hate Talking: With our family and it shocked me how.
- 9:17I Hate Talking: Grown up our kids are now.
- 9:20I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 9:21I Hate Talking: We returned to Great Wolf Lodge, but it was a different Great Wolf Lodge, and we did not do the Magic Quest.
- 9:27I Hate Talking: Thank goodness.
- 9:28I Hate Talking: No, we didn't.
- 9:29I Hate Talking: They wanted to bring their wands with them just in case, and we did forget them.
- 9:34I Hate Talking: It was an accident.
- 9:35I Hate Talking: But also, I think you are relieved, right?
- 9:38I Hate Talking: I think I was relieved, yes, because it, I don't think it would have worked, because maybe like it would have done like the very first round of things where like things light up, but and actually doing the quest and moving through the levels and things like, I'm sure we would have had to pay for that.
- 9:55I Hate Talking: Yeah, I think so.
- 9:56I Hate Talking: So we went, and this was a really cool, again, once again, a flash deal, I love my sales.
- 10:05I Hate Talking: You were, as we talked about before, we moved.
- 10:08I Hate Talking: And you moved before us for your job, and me and the kids followed a little while later, a couple weeks later.
- 10:16I Hate Talking: And so this was a time that you were gone, and I saw this, so it was in the general area we're moving to.
- 10:23I Hate Talking: And It was a great, like 12 hour flash sale.
- 10:28I Hate Talking: And I couldn't get a hold of you, like, I knew you were sleeping already with the time change and yada yada.
- 10:34I Hate Talking: So I just booked it, like, our youngest birthday.
- 10:40I Hate Talking: Our youngest one's birthday.
- 10:42I Hate Talking: Was this week, so I was like, this would be a great birthday gift for him, since we won't have friends yet or a consistent schedule at our new home.
- 10:53I Hate Talking: Let's go to Great Wolf Lodge.
- 10:56I Hate Talking: So we tried this new one, and what do you think?
- 10:59I Hate Talking: Yeah, it was good.
- 11:01I Hate Talking: I mean, even in the short time frame of our previous visit, which was probably less than 1 year or so, yeah, just 6 months.
- 11:09I Hate Talking: It was back in October.
- 11:11I Hate Talking: Yes, the kids were more mature and were able to do more of the things.
- 11:17I Hate Talking: Now the Great Wolf Lodge was different, so that may have played a part.
- 11:22I Hate Talking: And also perhaps their familiarity with Great Wolf Lodge in general allowed them to have a little bit more of freedom and Autonomy when they were visiting there, but yes, it was.
- 11:35I Hate Talking: Again, sort of an odd experience as a parent that your kids are going off and doing things on their own with each other and not needing your direct supervision the entire time.
- 11:47I Hate Talking: Do you think that this lazy river was slower than the other one, or was our youngest a better swimmer?
- 11:53I Hate Talking: Cause last time, I did get a little anxious in the lazy river, if he didn't have a floaty thing, because he liked to just swim without a float.
- 12:06I Hate Talking: And let the water push him, but it kept pulling him under last time, and then so I refused to let him do that.
- 12:13I Hate Talking: Or this time he could do it and it didn't pull him under.
- 12:16I Hate Talking: Yeah, well, I think out of all of them, he's probably the one that has grown in height the most, so that could be something to do with it.
- 12:25I Hate Talking: And then I do think it was slower.
- 12:26I Hate Talking: It was a different layout completely.
- 12:28I Hate Talking: Actually, some of the ending of the slide sort of merged in with the lazy river, which was different.
- 12:35I Hate Talking: It was cool, but I think that actually detracted from the flow and the speed at which the lazy river.
- 12:42I Hate Talking: Circulated.
- 12:43I Hate Talking: OK, I see that.
- 12:44I Hate Talking: It was nice because and it's smart because some of the rides you have to take a float up with you, so it makes sense that they're with the lazy river because they're all the same.
- 12:55I Hate Talking: So if you get off the slide, you can just continue on the lazy river or get out and walk it up to the slides.
- 13:03I Hate Talking: So I did, I mean, it made sense, but I agree that I could see how it would slow down the flow.
- 13:09I Hate Talking: Which was a completely different design than the previous Lazy River because they had separate tubes for each thing where the Lazy River tubes were clear.
- 13:19I Hate Talking: And these were not right, because they were shared with the slides.
- 13:23I Hate Talking: Yeah.
- 13:23I Hate Talking: And um it just made me think, cause I had already had that moment earlier this week of uh seeing this.
- 13:32I Hate Talking: Photos from 8 years ago, family vacation.
- 13:36I Hate Talking: And seeing how little our kids were and just how carefree it seemed, which I know it wasn't cause we had like nap time scheduled and yada yada, right?
- 13:46I Hate Talking: It was not carefree cause we'd wake up, go to breakfast, swim, come back and nap, then get up and swim more, and then come back and sleep.
- 13:55I Hate Talking: Like it was very scheduled.
- 13:57I Hate Talking: So calling it carefree isn't true.
- 14:00I Hate Talking: But when I see the photos and how sweet and innocent they were, just like us sitting there, having them climb on us and swim with us.
- 14:09I Hate Talking: And then reflecting on that, watching my kids race down the slides together, as I just sit there, it's like, wow, this is different.
- 14:20I Hate Talking: And it went so quick.
- 14:22I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 14:24I Hate Talking: Plus we didn't have to worry about allergens or food sensitivities.
- 14:29I Hate Talking: Yes, that was a big part of our past, which thank goodness is over.
- 14:33I Hate Talking: Our kids outgrew it, but that was a massive part of the first couple of years of parenting for us.
- 14:40I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 14:41I Hate Talking: Maybe we'll talk about that sometime and How difficult that was.
- 14:47I Hate Talking: Maybe so.
- 14:48I Hate Talking: You, a listener, can let us know if you'd like to hear about milk sensitivities.
- 14:52I Hate Talking: So this particular Great Wolf Lodge did have the lazy river and it did have various slides that used inner tubes that could be either single riders or double riders.
- 15:05I Hate Talking: And then it did seem to have relatively similar ones that were like the large inner tube that a group would do anywhere from 234 or 5 riders in these particular ones.
- 15:17I Hate Talking: And those were some of the similarities.
- 15:21I Hate Talking: And you did even the one that was the 4 rider tube that had a very large drop in it.
- 15:28I Hate Talking: I did more last time, I think I even said it on the pod, I only did one.
- 15:33I Hate Talking: I've developed such a fear of heights in the last decade.
- 15:36I Hate Talking: I don't know if it's becoming a mom, or just getting older or what it is, but I never was a a thrill seeker.
- 15:45I Hate Talking: But I was never scared to do things also.
- 15:49I Hate Talking: I would ride the roller coasters, never super excited about it, but never really scared either.
- 15:56I Hate Talking: In the last decade, that's changed.
- 15:59I Hate Talking: And the last time I only rode one.
- 16:02I Hate Talking: This time I told each kid they could choose one and I'd ride with them.
- 16:06I Hate Talking: And y'all chose the scariest one at first.
- 16:11I Hate Talking: And this was a moment I want to remember forever.
- 16:14I Hate Talking: My heart was literally beating out of my chest.
- 16:18I Hate Talking: I was so scared walking up the steps, cause I knew this was a scary one.
- 16:22I Hate Talking: I didn't want to do it.
- 16:24I Hate Talking: And I told one of my kids like, oh, feel my heart is beating so fast, and he put his hand on my chest and the one on his.
- 16:32I Hate Talking: He's like, it's OK, I'll calm you down, and he just stood there with his hand on my chest and his chest.
- 16:39I Hate Talking: And like just transferring his calmness, I guess to me, it was really sweet.
- 16:46I Hate Talking: But it was intense, and then it was OK.
- 16:49I Hate Talking: And then after that I realized, OK, I can do this, it's not as bad as I thought, and I went on quite a few.
- 16:55I Hate Talking: I would have gone on more, but those stairs are pretty gnarly.
- 16:59I Hate Talking: It was a lot of stairs.
- 17:00I Hate Talking: That is true.
- 17:01I Hate Talking: If there was an elevator, I would have rode it a lot more.
- 17:04I Hate Talking: Yes, and then the Slides, they do not use any inner tubes were far less extreme, so they did not have the ones with like the near vertical drops or the trapdoor one that drops you into the slide.
- 17:21I Hate Talking: They did have some slides that were probably a little bit more catered to younger kids, uh, but adults could do them as well, but they were far less extreme.
- 17:31I Hate Talking: But they did have some additional things that was different.
- 17:35I Hate Talking: And then the wave pool was the same.
- 17:37I Hate Talking: I completely forgot the wave pool, but they did have a wave pool.
- 17:40I Hate Talking: But one of the things that was different was they had a flow rider, I think was the brand name, where you have like a boogie board and it shoots streams of water or this basically one large stream of water.
- 17:56I Hate Talking: At like a 45 degree angle ramp, and then you sort of ride on that particular ramp with the boogie board.
- 18:03I Hate Talking: Yeah, so I didn't do it.
- 18:05I Hate Talking: I would feel like my swimsuit was not appropriate.
- 18:08I Hate Talking: I previously saw other moms or women do it and struggle, so I didn't try it.
- 18:15I Hate Talking: Had I changed my swimsuit, I would have, but you did it.
- 18:19I Hate Talking: How many times did you do it?
- 18:20I Hate Talking: I saw 2 Yeah, at least 4 or 5 times, I think.
- 18:26I Hate Talking: Not every time that the kids did it, but nearly every time.
- 18:28I Hate Talking: Our one kid got really good at it.
- 18:31I Hate Talking: Yeah, he was doing very good by the end of it.
- 18:33I Hate Talking: Yeah, so he's gonna be a little surfer dude.
- 18:35I Hate Talking: He's got the longer hair and everything, so it works well.
- 18:39I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 18:39I Hate Talking: And I was surprised like, we did it once and then they wanted to keep doing it.
- 18:43I Hate Talking: So, because you, I mean, sometimes people wipe out on that thing and it's intense.
- 18:50I Hate Talking: Yeah, I don't think it's like super dangerous, but you could hurt yourself if you are wiping out and crashing, and there were some crashes that were quite Exciting to watch, I suppose, but they did not get hurt.
- 19:06I Hate Talking: Did you ever get hurt on it?
- 19:08I Hate Talking: I think on one of them, I might have bruised my shin a little bit as I was like jumping into the angled slope, but other than that, it was non-issue.
- 19:19I Hate Talking: OK.
- 19:20I Hate Talking: Yeah, I saw two of yours, like I said, and uh yeah, you did well, do well.
- 19:25I Hate Talking: So you bruised your shin.
- 19:26I Hate Talking: I think we did get more injuries this time.
- 19:29I Hate Talking: I injured my back lifting cause we spent the night, and there was a pullout couch, and I was pulling it out and tweaked my back.
- 19:38I Hate Talking: And that wasn't fun last night, but it's OK.
- 19:42I Hate Talking: It's just really sore now.
- 19:44I Hate Talking: And then one of our kids got his hand.
- 19:48I Hate Talking: Banged between the floatation device and the steps getting off a slide.
- 19:55I Hate Talking: And he got a pretty big cut.
- 19:58I Hate Talking: I mean, they sent over the, uh, you know, the med team, and they cleaned it up really well.
- 20:03I Hate Talking: It's not like it needed stitches or anything, but it did need a good cleaning and bandage.
- 20:09I Hate Talking: And he was, I was proud of him because it hurt, and he was very brave and calm through the whole process.
- 20:16I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 20:18I Hate Talking: And they were very quick to respond.
- 20:20I Hate Talking: They noticed quickly and so kudos to them for being very attentive and prepared.
- 20:25I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 20:26I Hate Talking: I mean, that is one thing at both Great Wolf Lodge locations that was apparent is that their lifeguard staff and medical response team are very well trained with various methodology to ensure that everybody is safe and that there's no particular issues and that if there are any minor injuries that those are attended to quickly.
- 20:47I Hate Talking: Yeah, I would say I would fully agree that I think Great Wolf Lodge, Uganda 2 now.
- 20:55I Hate Talking: And I would say confidently that their lifeguards do a really good job.
- 21:00I Hate Talking: I mean, I, that was my job for a while, was monitoring lifeguards and training them and teach uh making sure they're doing their job.
- 21:09I Hate Talking: And so I do pay attention to that now.
- 21:12I Hate Talking: And they do a very excellent job.
- 21:15I Hate Talking: They take their training serious, as I'd watch uh them watch people, and they're not just checking out or just walking around.
- 21:26I Hate Talking: That's true, even when there is a Mom, that is in the shallow 2-foot water that they will go check on her.
- 21:37I Hate Talking: They will, yeah, I was, OK, I'll tell real quick this story.
- 21:40I Hate Talking: I was telling Adam I was there watching this happen, that there was a mom, and she was with her husband and her parents or, you know, the grandparents and a baby, and so they kept, the mom kept dunking under the water to, and then popping up, right, to surprise the baby, and the baby would be surprised.
- 22:00I Hate Talking: So, But the way she was doing it, she would duck under and lift her hands, and it did look like the classic.
- 22:06I Hate Talking: Drowning position again, she's, it's, yeah, like 3 ft 4, not even 4 ft of water.
- 22:13I Hate Talking: She had 3 adults around her.
- 22:15I Hate Talking: The concept of her drowning is kind of silly, but he called it, jumped in, and rescued her, and then they were so rude to him.
- 22:26I Hate Talking: And like, obviously we're just playing yadda yada, but.
- 22:30I Hate Talking: It showed every sign of a drowning person.
- 22:34I Hate Talking: And then they went right back to doing the game again, and I felt so bad for that lifeguard.
- 22:39I Hate Talking: The other lifeguards came over, he called it, tons of people came running over while he went and rescued her.
- 22:45I Hate Talking: They gave him a towel, as he went back to his post, and like patted him on the back and stuff, and you could just see his heart, like him breathing heavy.
- 22:54I Hate Talking: It was serious for him, he was rescuing her.
- 22:57I Hate Talking: And good for him, and I felt so bad that like.
- 23:01I Hate Talking: They were so rude to him, because they should have at least been thankful, like, thank you for paying attention.
- 23:07I Hate Talking: Versus, you know, what they said about like, obviously we're here, she's not drowning.
- 23:14I Hate Talking: So anyways, good for him, and I hope he gets kudos, or we should go online and give him.
- 23:21I Hate Talking: I think on there, can't you give people kudos or something like that, like congratulations.
- 23:26I Hate Talking: I think so.
- 23:28I Hate Talking: I don't know if you have their name or whatever, but yeah, I should have, but.
- 23:33I Hate Talking: I didn't.
- 23:34I Hate Talking: Anyways, I do feel confident in the Great Wolf Lodge, not enough to be like, I'm gonna leave my kids and walk away.
- 23:40I Hate Talking: Obviously that's not their responsibility like that, but I would say I feel confident in their lifeguards.
- 23:47I Hate Talking: That's true, so.
- 23:48I Hate Talking: Maybe we'll, we'll go to another great wolf lodge in the future.
- 23:53I Hate Talking: We have 2 down and I think what, 11 more to go or something when you looked at the numbers.
- 23:58I Hate Talking: Something like that.
- 23:59I Hate Talking: We're gonna check.
- 24:01I Hate Talking: There are 23 great wolf lodges.
- 24:06I Hate Talking: So in the -- continental -- US -- and Canada and -- Canada, the one in Ontario, Canada, so 22 in the US, -- but -- Niagara, Niagara Falls, and I've always wanted to go there.
- 24:18I Hate Talking: On the Canadian side, yes, that is true.
- 24:23I Hate Talking: Well, that's the part you want to see anyways, right?
- 24:25I Hate Talking: Don't people say that Niagara Falls is better on Canada's side unless you go during COVID because then you could only allow two people on the boat at a time.
- 24:32I Hate Talking: We didn't live too far from there relatively at one point in our lives.
- 24:39I Hate Talking: We always talked about government and never did.
- 24:41I Hate Talking: We should have.
- 24:42I Hate Talking: And we should one day.
- 24:45I Hate Talking: Well, -- maybe -- we and I've been, yes, at least twice.
- 24:50I Hate Talking: Is it worth it?
- 24:51I Hate Talking: Yeah, it would be worth it to.
- 24:53I Hate Talking: It'd be like the Grand Canyon.
- 24:55I Hate Talking: Like, I think people really talk up the Grand Canyon, and it is really cool, and it's worth seeing once.
- 25:01I Hate Talking: And after that, maybe, maybe not so much.
- 25:04I Hate Talking: So, I sort of feel the same as Niagara, that yes, it's a very Interesting and unique thing to go visit, but if you visit it once, it's Not necessarily something that you need to revisit.
- 25:18I Hate Talking: I actually think that the CN Tower is more of an attraction than Niagara Falls.
- 25:24I Hate Talking: Well, it used to be the tallest building in the world.
- 25:28I Hate Talking: Decades ago.
- 25:30I Hate Talking: It's not even close anymore.
- 25:32I Hate Talking: No, it's in the Right there on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
- 25:38I Hate Talking: Never heard of it.
- 25:40I Hate Talking: Have you gone tied it, like gone all up?
- 25:44I Hate Talking: Yes, I think I've been inside it.
- 25:48I Hate Talking: I don't think I've been to like the very top, top of it because that you have to like pay like super amount of money to go up to, but you can go to like the observation deck that is significantly up on the top.
- 26:00I Hate Talking: Is it at the very top.
- 26:01I Hate Talking: Is it taller than the Empire State Building?
- 26:04I Hate Talking: Yes.
- 26:04I Hate Talking: What about in Chicago, like taller than that.
- 26:08I Hate Talking: -- The -- Sears Tower, now renamed to something else.
- 26:11I Hate Talking: Yes, taller than that.
- 26:13I Hate Talking: Because again, we talked about my fear of heights when we were in Chicago over summer, we talked about doing all that and I was like, I can't, I can't do it.
- 26:19I Hate Talking: I think I'm not that scared if it's me, but with my kids, I get so scared.
- 26:25I Hate Talking: Interesting.
- 26:26I Hate Talking: So that is our 100th episode and Time flies.
- 26:33I Hate Talking: And if you do have a suggestion for a future topic, you can always let us know in a comment, text message, or email.
- 26:42I Hate Talking: And if you did like this episode, it is helpful for you to share it with just one other person so that they can enjoy it as well.
- 26:50I Hate Talking: Well, I'm just trying to do the math, because 100 episodes, 11 person shares per episode.
- 26:58I Hate Talking: I'm trying to, I'm really bad at what's it called pawn.
- 27:03I Hate Talking: Exponential growth, exponential growth like that, yeah, that would be.
- 27:10I Hate Talking: Pretty exponential.
- 27:13I Hate Talking: Indeed So from your friends at I hate talking, until next time, remember, it is only through talking that we begin the journey to understanding.
