- 0:00SPEAKER_00: One of my favorite things, and I say that totally in the sense of it's not really a favorite thing.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: I actually hate it more than anything.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Is uh well one of my favorite things is the wife call or the husband calling competition that happens every year at like the Kentucky State Fair.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: This we always get audio for this of where like you'll hear a large lady, and sometimes not so large of a lady, up on stage and she's like, Han! And you know, it makes me laugh.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Why is it always their name though?
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Shouldn't it be because I never call when I'm talking to Zach, I don't call, I go, Zach, Zachary?
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: No.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that ain't gonna get them from the back of the yard.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: They the whole point of this competition is the loudest woman calling their husband.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: They shouldn't be like, Boo! Yeah, they do sometimes like that.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: It's like, you know, you might have a nickname.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: So it could be that or the name.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Except I hate it when it happens to me if I'm at a store.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: If I'm two aisles over, and uh and my ex-wife was really the mistress at this.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: She was like, Scott! I'm like, oh my god, you know, chips are flying in the air because I'm gonna go.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my lord.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: And uh uh I actually did it to Tiffany not long ago.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: We were at Petsmart and uh Oriel Tiffany! Yeah, Oriel took a dump on aisle two.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, I hate when that happens.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: But it always happens at Petsmart.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Always, and I couldn't find where she was, and I didn't have anything to pick it up, and I don't want to be that guy, so I'm like, Tiffany! Oh my god.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: There was nobody there.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I love that wait, they always have the bags at the end of the aisles.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: I couldn't find it because I'm, you know, I'm in a panic.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Because you need somebody to hold your hand.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Shut up.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Uh so at any rate, I love it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Tiffany, come save the day.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: I love it until it happens to me.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: So now I have to shift over to this.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: In in honor of that, since it's a calling contest, like the husband calling contest.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: This is German deer calling competition.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, this is well, kind of perfect for this area as far as the deer part.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Listen to a few of the contestants of this year's German deer calling competition.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: And uh here's a visual for you.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Each of their Dot Deer?
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Each of their mouths wrapped around a large wooden tube that uh well here.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: It does sound like a deer.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: You've seen the videos of a deer fighting each other.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Sounds like this.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: They put their horns against a tree.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Have you ever, I'm sure, probably not.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Have watched a trail cam, and then you'll uh yes.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: I didn't think so.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Uh but it's an 800-year-old tradition using uh simple tools like horn shells and handcrafted devices.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: They mimic everything from young deer to dominant male deer, like you're talking about.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Rutting season, that's what you're talking about.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, where the they put the horns on the tree.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Wells, did I say horns?
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: All well, deep throating a wooden tube.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And three listen to Scott and Allie.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: You know, just when you think you've heard of every single uh hobby.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, hobby hobby, you learn a new one.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that President Trump warns that the U.S.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant in Iran for every new attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: In a post on Truth Social, he said the targets could include sites in or near Tehran, Tehran, excuse me.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Iran.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: See, I have to say Tehran, then Iran.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: So it messes me up.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels in the waterway over the past three months.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Why did I type Tehran next to Iran?
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: That was my bad on that.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Tropical storm Bertha.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Bertha's gonna make landfall on Louisiana's southern tip, striking St.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Bernard Parish, about 40 miles east of New Orleans.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: The storm carried maximum sustained winds, about 45 miles per hour.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: I've never felt that much wind, have you?
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, we've had storm, not sustained, but we've had gusts where it's gotten up to that, and you're like, whoa, ho! That's usually the response.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Now think about it, not stopping.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Like a gust of wind is one thing.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: When you're driving on the highway and you put your hands so tight on the wheel and you still are moving.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the car still drives over like force winds were even reaching up to 100 miles.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: And President Trump, again, we're gonna go back to him.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Actually, no, I'm gonna go to this uh the I'm gonna save that Trump story for an hour.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna go to a Charlie Kirk sculptured statue.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Did you hear about the one that this guy created for a hundred thousand dollars?
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: He's an Italian sculptor, and he said he doesn't.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: It's not like he is a Kirk fan, not a fan.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: He said, I just built the sculpture of Charlie Kirk to honor free speech and commemorate just a person.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: He compared himself to Michelangelo, Michelangelo and Da Vinci, but he's not getting Michael.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, at least you have, you know, given yourself some credit there.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: But you know, you're not making the Michelangelo or Da Vinci money because he thought, oh, people are gonna come buy this statue, he's gonna auction it off.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Like I said, I don't think those guys made money.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Da Vinci and Michelangelo back in the day.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, not during their life.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: But I'm saying, like, now but so he spends a hundred thousand dollars to make this statue.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: He went to put it up on a fundraising collection site, only has received fourteen hundred dollars.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: I'm a little surprised by this.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: I think at this point somebody is going to buy it, maybe not for that amount.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Because my cousin's wife, she is obsessed with Charlie Kirk.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Like obsessed.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: No, I think it'd be more like either a museum or a library of some kind that might consider Oh, yeah, they're the ones that are real big Charlie Kirk fans.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: No, like the Trump library when it happens.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: You know, like a like a presidential library, you know.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: I'm not talking like the West Elmira Library.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's an interesting one.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Do you guys have one?
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: We have a library.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: You do?
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a little tiny popcorn fart of a library, but it's great.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Gavin does his tutoring there during the their during school time.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: Oh, library.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I was thinking museum.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Well, no, well, the museum is my house.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, you should see a lot of rustic stuff.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, and we continue to add to the collection.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: It's like the Smithsonian of Yard Sales.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Uh, but anyway, by the way, write that down, the Smithsonian of Yard Sales.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Somewhere else that's gonna come up.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: 1132, we go over to Natalie.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: She she solidifies my point about Buffalo girls being like they're from Jersey, like a bus, dumped a bunch of girls out in Jersey and said, now spread out and teach the girls how the look is supposed to be.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: And Natalie's buff tough.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: My mother-in-law and her family are from Williamsville.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: I grew up in Williamsville.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: It's right out, it's Buffalo, right?
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: It's a suburb.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: They said pictures of her uh and her sisters back in the day, give the Jersey git give the give the Jersey girl vibe in Buffalo.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Totally.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: They said blonde hair, dark roots, cigarette in hand, and a beer.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: That's exactly it.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Sounds like my kind of lady.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: And then Emily, your text, it's like you're psychic.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: What?
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: You guys have to go to the PA sportsman show down in Harrisburg.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Sounds like something exactly like where you're gonna catch me.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: They say the one room is all Avery call bird calls.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: And I'm having a Aviary.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Aviary calls.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: All right, bird calls.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: And it sounds like you're walking through a forest of birds.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Listen, if you want to make points with Zach, did you write this down?
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm writing it down right now.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: Actually, I'm gonna take a screenshot of this and send it to him.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: But they do have calls for other animals because I was playing the German deer calls.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right, right.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: And uh there are uh different rooms, pretty cool uh to watch these uh types of competitions.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: It's like your psychic with the bird calling, though.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: I'll explain coming up.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: You stay right there.
