- 0:05Speaker 1: Get up even Closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
- 0:09Speaker 2: For for tuggets for to seven every weekday on radio.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Yeah that sting man. Yeah, I do good good. I
- 0:18Speaker 1: can almost hear myself on these cans over here. What
- 0:24Speaker 1: you can hear on occasion? Are they cutting in and out? Yeah?
- 0:28Speaker 1: You see that does my head and when that happens.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Just to give people an idea, here, we're in a
- 0:32Speaker 1: professional radio studio and there's a few chords that connect
- 0:36Speaker 1: together and they come apart and then your headphone sort
- 0:40Speaker 1: of drop out and stuff. Well, this is no bigger
- 0:43Speaker 1: than me man.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah, well yeah, that sort of thing does headphone is
- 0:46Speaker 3: very important to me.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Sorry about that. Yeah, that was just Nogi clearing his
- 0:52Speaker 1: huge honker. But this is the trade off.
- 0:54Speaker 2: If you want to use the A SEC studio that
- 0:56Speaker 2: is the worst studio in New Zealand broadcasting.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Well you know it too. I should let people know.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Actually, whenever we do use the A C C studio,
- 1:04Speaker 3: Key has an absolutely don't like it as it sounds
- 1:08Speaker 3: free single times like this iff and studio.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I don't I listened to it. It's been a while
- 1:15Speaker 1: but I listened to a couple of podcasts today. It
- 1:16Speaker 1: sounds the same as everything else, like you might be
- 1:18Speaker 1: able to tell the difference. So I think it's like
- 1:19Speaker 1: people saying the difference between vinyl and and whatever else.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's like maybe, but yes, make that much.
- 1:25Speaker 2: We need to find we need to find a way
- 1:27Speaker 2: to your guys. MIC's are sweet. It's this mic I
- 1:29Speaker 2: sound like garbage. Mine's completely like.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you set yourself up to your key. Come on, mate, can.
- 1:37Speaker 2: You move your microphone stance? I can actually see you
- 1:40Speaker 2: if you like hell jokes my direction?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Please? Are you sure that's the mic kesy, Yes, it is.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It's it's garbage. It's hot garbage, but it's fine. Chill
- 1:50Speaker 1: and Fellers. Hey Mike, Hey baby, how did treat yourself? Daygo?
- 1:54Speaker 1: It's good? Really? What did I do today? A bath?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Last night? So I with my missus last night though,
- 2:03Speaker 1: that was nice. We had a yarn, we got the
- 2:05Speaker 1: we sat around the breakfast bar. We've got a breakfast bar, Jason, Yes,
- 2:08Speaker 1: probably not as nice as yours. And the sounds bay
- 2:11Speaker 1: leaf only when we own our own home where we
- 2:15Speaker 1: get baiy leaf. Yes, indeed, so had a yam with her.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That was good. And then this morning, woke up, did
- 2:20Speaker 1: all the usual things, got the ket off to school,
- 2:25Speaker 1: didn't get in the horror of a mood. That's good.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Then I worked until about ten or eleven, cleared about
- 2:35Speaker 1: one hundred emails, got a few yarns, and.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I just delete, delete, delete, that's the best way to
- 2:41Speaker 3: do it, I find.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Had a few phone yarns. And then from there then
- 2:43Speaker 1: I went and had a nap. Nice. I napped for
- 2:46Speaker 1: an hour. You must have been knaked. I was out.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And then I got up, and then I went and
- 2:52Speaker 1: actually the first thing I did was I went and
- 2:53Speaker 1: had a blood test done. Right. Do you remember, Jase,
- 2:56Speaker 1: when I had my stinky armpits? Yes, which I started
- 2:59Speaker 1: coming back again. So I had one smelly armpet that
- 3:02Speaker 1: smells like onions onions. Yeah. And we had a guy
- 3:07Speaker 1: that texted on the text machine when we're talking about
- 3:09Speaker 1: on the radio, and he said that he had a
- 3:12Speaker 1: smelly armpit, one smelly armpit, and he had what else
- 3:16Speaker 1: have we been having lately? Reflux? Right, and heartburning sort
- 3:20Speaker 1: of stuff? Oh god, and this, and then he said, yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 1: he goes. I went and got tested, and I've got
- 3:25Speaker 1: lymphoma and I start chemo next week. And I was like, oh, yeah, great,
- 3:31Speaker 1: right back, because I've never had stinky pits in my life.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I've never really needed to use the odorant, to be
- 3:37Speaker 1: honest with you. Yeah and so, and it fucking it's stunk,
- 3:42Speaker 1: that's right. I was a shape shifter and yeah, I
- 3:44Speaker 1: keep my arms down because I stunk so badly. I
- 3:47Speaker 1: was disgusting myself. So anyway, then I had to go
- 3:49Speaker 1: and I went and spoke to the doctor about it,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and he said, well, wait until you've done this course
- 3:53Speaker 1: of anti virus, because remember I had my sign and
- 3:56Speaker 1: ciders came back. Yes, So I had to wait for
- 3:58Speaker 1: that to be finished. And then I thought, finally thought
- 4:00Speaker 1: today I've got to go and get it sorted out.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Go get my blood taste done and see what the
- 4:04Speaker 1: gats is because I'm just rude today. I'm so tired
- 4:08Speaker 1: and I'm in good shot, like I'm fit, I'm not drinking.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I should feel great, yes, and I don't. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I don't.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Feel I'm finding that with a lot of people are feeling.
- 4:19Speaker 3: You know, this is not so many people I know
- 4:22Speaker 3: are saying the same thing, which is how exhausted they
- 4:24Speaker 3: feel right time. Like, my wife's like that at the moment, right,
- 4:28Speaker 3: She's like, I just want to she's at work and
- 4:30Speaker 3: she just wants to.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Go to bed and go to sleep. Wow. Wow, go
- 4:36Speaker 1: to bed anyway, nicey, Yeah, go to sleep. Last thing
- 4:42Speaker 1: you want when you're exhausted as old hoody j bearing
- 4:44Speaker 1: down on you. Yeah, exactly. So only I did that,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and so I feel good. Will find out what the
- 4:51Speaker 1: gats is there. It's almost one of those things, keezy
- 4:53Speaker 1: where you think to yourself, I hope I've got cancer, right,
- 4:56Speaker 1: because at least that it will explain it right and
- 4:58Speaker 1: then we can get cracking.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Yeah, because I've got the heartburn thing going on as well.
- 5:03Speaker 3: And as soon as you told me that and wanting
- 5:04Speaker 3: to know when up.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, well there's no way you can both what the
- 5:10Speaker 1: hell is that? I think? And the next fixing that door.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yeah all right, there's no way you can both have
- 5:15Speaker 1: the same thing at the same time. I imagine if
- 5:17Speaker 1: we both had it, if we coult her on the
- 5:19Speaker 1: set of talk Back Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 2: The Whocky Big Show week days from four on Radio Hurarchy,
- 5:27Speaker 2: They Big Show Podcast.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I don't have a stinky armpit though, right, Well, that's good.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So that's one symptom I don't have, actually, because I
- 5:36Speaker 3: because I said that to my wife the other night
- 5:37Speaker 3: about heartburn and I was like, I don't know, I
- 5:40Speaker 3: don't know why I'm getting that's just weird. And so
- 5:44Speaker 3: she's she's googled heart burn and I was like, you're
- 5:47Speaker 3: not googling that, are you? And she said, yeah, I'm
- 5:51Speaker 3: just seeing what what can cause it and stuff. And
- 5:53Speaker 3: I said, does it have cancer on there? And she
- 5:57Speaker 3: said no.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Such a common thing happened. Yeah, but it's not common
- 6:02Speaker 1: for it to go on and on. No. No, I
- 6:05Speaker 1: mean I don't know much about it, but I know
- 6:07Speaker 1: I don't like it. And it has been going on
- 6:09Speaker 1: and on and it's not diet because I've been ending
- 6:11Speaker 1: it exactly the same thing every day and it was
- 6:13Speaker 1: happening before I had a change of diet. Yeah, so yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I don't know. But anyway, you had my sleep, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: then I went to what I do, went to the
- 6:23Speaker 1: supermarket and did the shop and they just didn't do
- 6:26Speaker 1: any work. Really, it was good and didn't have millions
- 6:29Speaker 1: of phone calls and didn't do millions of things.
- 6:31Speaker 3: It's important to take care of yourself sometimes yeah, my god,
- 6:37Speaker 3: they shut the fuck up whoever they are. But it is,
- 6:40Speaker 3: you know, to take a bit of time out. Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 3: I just have a bit of a I just have
- 6:44Speaker 3: it a go easy on mo Ye day or go
- 6:47Speaker 3: easy on Keysy day.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I mean I I don't usually go easy on myself.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I probably thrash it. Oh yeah, Well, my wife's doing
- 6:58Speaker 1: a great thing. She said that. She said, last night
- 7:00Speaker 1: she goes, she sees, Hey, I just want to ask
- 7:03Speaker 1: you if you want this, because I don't want to
- 7:04Speaker 1: get you another thing that you don't want, because remember
- 7:06Speaker 1: she got me that message, yes what she ended up having.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And so she said, I just thought for Father's Day.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And I was like, ah, I was hoping you'd forget
- 7:14Speaker 1: so I could hold it over you for the rest
- 7:15Speaker 1: of your life. Never mind, Okay, what is it? And
- 7:18Speaker 1: she said, do you want to go and stay at
- 7:19Speaker 1: a hotel? Heaven night at a hotel, a staycation by yourself?
- 7:24Speaker 1: I was like, no, not really, no, no, not by yourself. Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but she does it like she's done it as well.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And she'll go and she'll do drawing and she'll just
- 7:33Speaker 1: go and have a wy It's just really it's a staycation.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Ye mate. Yes, but and then I was thinking about
- 7:40Speaker 1: today and actually, yes, I will do that, Oh will,
- 7:42Speaker 1: because I can go and there's a hotel in town
- 7:44Speaker 1: and it's got sauna and spa swimming pool, gym. I'm
- 7:49Speaker 1: going to get a message there and just do jack
- 7:54Speaker 1: shit because it's the day to day, Yes to the grinder,
- 8:00Speaker 1: every single day. So do a day of the and
- 8:01Speaker 1: then the next day it will be Father's Day and then
- 8:04Speaker 1: I'll take my little mate out there to a cafe. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I might as well, because I haven't done that. I
- 8:10Speaker 1: haven't heard that for ages.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It's good my wife and I, but not by ourselves.
- 8:13Speaker 3: But doing doing that quite a back. Go in a
- 8:15Speaker 3: hotel for a night, it's really good. We go for dinner,
- 8:19Speaker 3: we go to a movie, and then we go go
- 8:21Speaker 3: back to the hotel.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And there's a second reference to and make excuses getting
- 8:26Speaker 1: it all right, go to sleep, Yeah himself.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Funny because I remember my wife and I've told you
- 8:37Speaker 3: about this before, you guys, but my wife years and
- 8:39Speaker 3: years and years ago, getting the mess oute for my
- 8:42Speaker 3: birthday or something like that. It was it was a nightmare.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It was a nightmare because that was when I was
- 8:49Speaker 3: at the pinnacle of my anxiety, and everything just not
- 8:53Speaker 3: good for me.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And I just remember the woman touching me and.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Just going, oh God, and you just and then I
- 9:01Speaker 3: organized and it was nah. But she was like, okay,
- 9:04Speaker 3: I remember here saying I'm just gonna be really gentle
- 9:08Speaker 3: on you, okay, And I was like okay, because I
- 9:11Speaker 3: was obviously so kent and like a coiled spring.
- 9:15Speaker 1: CAZy. Are you on your phone?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm uploading something to my story. Well, I'm just
- 9:21Speaker 2: sitting here listening to you can jump in.
- 9:24Speaker 1: No. I was wondering if you guys asked me how
- 9:26Speaker 1: my stand up went. Well, I just thought we only
- 9:32Speaker 1: put the garage on here, the good stuff of the radio.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Yeah, man, why are they I wanted to I want
- 9:38Speaker 2: you to discuss something on here that I don't want
- 9:40Speaker 2: to discuss.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Disgust.
- 9:42Speaker 2: It's what I was just chating to Jason about is.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Straight away after the gig, I met one of the
- 9:46Speaker 2: comics and he was very funny, and the first thing
- 9:50Speaker 2: he said to me was, hey, man, that joke you
- 9:52Speaker 2: made about this, you should end it like this instead,
- 9:55Speaker 2: and gave me a really explicit, ra teen way to
- 9:57Speaker 2: end a joke that I had purposely made quite clean, right,
- 10:01Speaker 2: involving a pie of some description. Oh sure, And I
- 10:04Speaker 2: was just I didn't know what to say to him,
- 10:06Speaker 2: so I just paniced. It was just like, oh, what
- 10:08Speaker 2: even is that? And he started explaining it was like, nah,
- 10:11Speaker 2: I'm just joking on what it is, and then just
- 10:12Speaker 2: walked off. And that I felt that, I don't know,
- 10:16Speaker 2: I was quite just taking.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Back what you what do you mean you were taking
- 10:20Speaker 1: back that?
- 10:21Speaker 2: The first thing this guy would say is that I
- 10:23Speaker 2: should improve one of my jokes.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And it was like the most r eighteen jakes would
- 10:27Speaker 1: you say? That's the any thing to do amongst comics
- 10:29Speaker 1: is that they give suggestions on they It does happen
- 10:33Speaker 1: a lot, right common, But and I had you take
- 10:36Speaker 1: it to leave me.
- 10:39Speaker 2: He never said he never said anything other than straight away,
- 10:42Speaker 2: make this joke, really are eighteen? And I was just like, oh,
- 10:46Speaker 2: I mean, I've never even shaken hands or even I
- 10:49Speaker 2: thought that was quite weird.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Maybe I'm not right. It does okay, I think so
- 10:54Speaker 1: it's a weird. It's a way of breaking the ice
- 10:57Speaker 1: and saying good ah. But you were there, you know
- 10:58Speaker 1: better than me. Maybe it was weird. I felt weird.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I changed it now, so now I want to be
- 11:04Speaker 2: adding cream pies into my standards.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's great. Some of the best kind of pies around. Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: so good. I hope that's the pie the land On.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I had a friend of mine who you know very well.
- 11:17Speaker 3: He used to do that to me all the time,
- 11:18Speaker 3: and every he'd go, hey for that gag and it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Would always be Pelth.
- 11:24Speaker 2: It would always you guys are friends, yes, but yes,
- 11:27Speaker 2: and you hang out a.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Lot, and it was just like, no, Brendan, I'm not
- 11:34Speaker 3: I'm not saying that it will kill if you do that.
- 11:38Speaker 3: And I'm like, yeah, that's cold.
- 11:39Speaker 2: But you did it your style of doing it. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 2: but Brendan Brendan. If he said it to me, I'll
- 11:46Speaker 2: be like, well, that's Brendan Lovegrove. I assume we're naming
- 11:49Speaker 2: him now. And he's very experienced and successful comedian, so
- 11:52Speaker 2: I get it. Yes, whereas this guy, I'd never even
- 11:55Speaker 2: heard of him. This is the first time literally meeting
- 11:56Speaker 2: the guy straight away, it was just like, bro change
- 11:59Speaker 2: his thing to a cream pie? Should Christ by the way, Yeah, An,
- 12:09Speaker 2: I was just I was just really like, I wasn't
- 12:10Speaker 2: expecting it, So I don't know.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Good stuff mate, Maybe that's normal. Yeah, just it's okay. Keysy,
- 12:16Speaker 1: it's good that you talked about it. Go easy on Kezy,
- 12:19Speaker 1: go easy on you. Sure, let's go hard on key Day.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Sure man, if that's what you want, Yeah, I'll save mine. Well,
- 12:33Speaker 1: what's wrong with you today? Mate? What's not wrong? We
- 12:37Speaker 1: don't have enough time. Listen to how you follow see
- 12:40Speaker 1: him every weekday folks. It's bloody good or don't. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: don't care
