- 0:03Speaker 1: Homicidal. Hungry dinos. Just survival. Hungry dinosaurs. Hungry dinosaurs.
- 0:22Speaker 2: This episode is a very special Horror Club episode for
- 0:27Speaker 2: members only. So you yourself could be listening to the
- 0:31Speaker 2: for real episode If you join the Meltdown Horror Club.
- 0:34Speaker 2: If not, well, you just get these promos. And that's
- 0:38Speaker 2: not the same. You're missing out on wonderful movies that
- 0:41Speaker 2: you would get to choose. And if you don't pick them, well,
- 0:46Speaker 2: we're left to come up with our own.
- 0:48Speaker 3: And as a tie-in to a recently released movie that
- 0:51Speaker 3: I may or may not have gone to see in
- 0:53Speaker 3: the theater, I found this at a store the other day.
- 0:56Speaker 3: The Jurassic Dead.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Oof. Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Oh, indeed. A unit of mercenaries must team up with
- 1:05Speaker 3: a group of tech geek students after America is struck
- 1:09Speaker 3: with an IMP attack. Deep in the desert, they find
- 1:12Speaker 3: the source of the terror, a mad scientist who has
- 1:15Speaker 3: just created a living dead T-Rex dinosaur. Of course. One
- 1:21Speaker 3: who turns everyone it attacks into a zombie. Could it
- 1:24Speaker 3: be worse than being eaten.
- 1:25Speaker 4: By a T-Rex?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:27Speaker 3: You could also then turn into a zombie. So now
- 1:29Speaker 3: they must scramble to stay alive and save the planet
- 1:31Speaker 3: from the ultimate undead predator. Do you want us to
- 1:36Speaker 3: have to watch this? Because that's our other option. The
- 1:39Speaker 3: tagline here is the only thing worse than a zombie
- 1:42Speaker 3: is a zombie-saurus. Do you want us to have to
- 1:45Speaker 3: watch this? No, nobody wants that for anyone. So join
- 1:49Speaker 3: the Meltdown Horror Club and then you can give us
- 1:52Speaker 3: a better movie because you get to pick a movie
- 1:55Speaker 3: for us to watch when you join and It's got
- 1:57Speaker 3: to be better than Zombisaurus here.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Wait a second.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And then they get sold on it.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Don't let them get sold on that kind of shit.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Join now.
- 2:06Speaker 4: We're getting into dangerous territory because it looks like, from
- 2:09Speaker 4: what I can tell, they have made at least one sequel.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Possibly two.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Because there's a follow-up called Z-Rex.
- 2:18Speaker 3: See, when you only spend $ 48 on a movie, it's
- 2:22Speaker 3: really easy to make a sequel.
- 2:24Speaker 6: I like to imagine that in order to bite and
- 2:26Speaker 6: infect people and turn them into zombies, he just has
- 2:29Speaker 6: to use the littlest part of his little teeth.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Zombie nips?
- 2:33Speaker 5: Don't you?
- 2:34Speaker 4: Don't you love zombie nips? I was in Chicago recently
- 2:38Speaker 4: where I saw Sue, which is the T-Rex that they have.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Freaking awesome. After looking at the size of that thing's head,
- 2:47Speaker 4: I don't know how you could get a nip So
- 2:52Speaker 4: the problem is, with all this discussion, now I want
- 2:55Speaker 4: to watch Jurassic Dead, but I know I'm not going
- 2:58Speaker 4: to want to watch Jurassic Dead.
- 2:59Speaker 3: When I start watching it. You'll change your mind, I bet.
- 3:01Speaker 3: The only thing that will save us is if you,
- 3:04Speaker 3: sitting at home, in the car, wherever the hell you're
- 3:07Speaker 3: listening right now, join the Meltdown Horror Club. You can
- 3:09Speaker 3: give us a much better movie than Zombiesaurus.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Or you could go the other route and be totally
- 3:16Speaker 4: cruel and make us watch Zombiesaurus.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I mean, that really is an option. We do open
- 3:20Speaker 3: ourselves up to that threat.
- 3:22Speaker 4: You could be listening to us right now and thinking, hey,
- 3:25Speaker 4: these guys are all a-holes. How do I get back
- 3:28Speaker 4: at them? I'll show those bastards. And for only $ 2,
- 3:31Speaker 4: you can make that happen.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I'm telling you, it's a small price to pay to
- 3:34Speaker 3: infect pain and suffering upon people you don't really know
- 3:38Speaker 3: that well.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Join up now.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Go to movingupdown.com.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Join the Meltdown Horror Club. Make us suffer?
- 3:50Speaker 4: Holy Christ.
- 3:51Speaker 5: I like that tagline.
- 3:52Speaker 4: This thing was a novel first. Of course it was.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Was it by Michael Crichton?
- 3:57Speaker 3: I mean, granted, he wrote a lot of books.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Yeah, he did write a lot. Rick Chesler and David Sackmeister.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Oh, two people?
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah, one couldn't put together all the genius involved. It
- 4:10Speaker 3: was a collaborative.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Process, I see.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 4: How is it more expensive to buy the book than
- 4:17Speaker 4: it is the movie?
- 4:18Speaker 3: You watch the movie and you'll understand. Was this around
- 4:23Speaker 3: the same time that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was
- 4:26Speaker 3: a thing?
- 4:26Speaker 4: Oh, that's a great question.
- 4:28Speaker 3: There was a lot of those type of books out there.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Maybe when somebody saw Abraham Lincoln Vampire Killer, they were like, yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 3: I think I want to write a dinosaur book.
- 4:39Speaker 5: We'll take it back even further in time.
- 4:42Speaker 4: It's like the movie came out in 2017. I don't
- 4:44Speaker 4: know when the novel came out.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Well, now you have an assignment. Go read yourself a
- 4:49Speaker 3: fancy book.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Oh, don't think I won't.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Sucker.
- 4:54Speaker 3: In the meantime, you can listen to this week's little
- 4:57Speaker 3: promo and hear us say amazing things like this.
- 5:03Speaker 4: If I had to, I'd want to go to a
- 5:04Speaker 4: bar that has world-class gourmet food served by a clumsy chef.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Where she's staring in the mirror and kind of puts
- 5:13Speaker 5: her hands on the side.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I thought she was going to pull her face off.
- 5:15Speaker 6: It looks like she's going to lift her head off
- 5:18Speaker 6: of the neck.
- 5:21Speaker 4: He's pretty sinister. He is creepy as hell. He is creepy.
- 5:24Speaker 6: And even the scenes without him were really creepy. Like
- 5:27Speaker 6: her friend in the body bag. I bet you could
- 5:32Speaker 6: find a weird guy who would like doing that as
- 5:34Speaker 6: their job.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 5:35Speaker 5: I wonder.
- 5:37Speaker 3: The internet is waiting for you.
- 5:40Speaker 5: There's plenty.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Oh, in case you're wondering about the legality of this
- 5:45Speaker 4: and blah, blah, blah, it's like, here's what we do.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I'm showing you the screenshot they have of... Here's the
- 5:51Speaker 3: packaged versions of it that they have pictures of. Here's
- 5:55Speaker 3: the factory where they're making... They legit went to all
- 5:59Speaker 3: this trouble to make it seem real.
- 6:02Speaker 4: They went so far as to tell you.
- 6:06Speaker 4: When she, everybody that she tries to take the baby to, like,
- 6:10Speaker 4: you know, protective services or the police or whatever, those
- 6:14Speaker 4: people just start dying. Just in horribly, horribly gruesome ways.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Darts, snakes, guns, beans, rats, beans, grasping hands, spiders, bowling ball, bats,
- 6:29Speaker 3: gun barrels, swords, cowboys falling down the stairs, a spinning yo-yo,
- 6:33Speaker 3: a pinwheel, gold coins, apple peels, Flaming arrows and a
- 6:38Speaker 3: baby's bottom, and they're not making that part up.
- 6:40Speaker 4: What?
- 6:40Speaker 3: I didn't need that.
- 6:43Speaker 4: I have never woken up chained to a basement.
- 6:46Speaker 3: That's where you and I differ.
- 6:50Speaker 4: This was fun.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I went through the show kind of knowing what I
- 6:52Speaker 3: was getting myself into, and I'm like, yep, projected on
- 6:54Speaker 3: the wall, nothing but. For a really long time.
- 6:59Speaker 4: A lot. A lot of them.
- 7:03Speaker 3: No, nothing tops the batts.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Man baseball bats or like no no flying bats if
- 7:09Speaker 7: you're a fan of dark shadows this is the movie
- 7:12Speaker 7: for you the old dark shadows bats on wires man
- 7:17Speaker 7: this is your movie because they're coming at you.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Coming at you they are coming at you i.
- 7:25Speaker 6: Mean they did a great job writing it it just
- 7:28Speaker 6: makes me so angry but that's the.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Point that's the point yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 5: They're like, you haven't taken your trash out all week.
- 7:36Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 7:37Speaker 4: Oh, I took it. I took it.
- 7:41Speaker 5: I took it, don't you worry. I think he wrote
- 7:45Speaker 5: a mean letter to my dad once.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Cool.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Was it when he was here?
- 7:49Speaker 6: I think my dad made fun of his wife as
- 7:53Speaker 6: an actress in some bad movie, and he wrote my dad.
- 7:56Speaker 5: I don't even know who his wife is. How dare you?
- 8:00Speaker 3: I'll have to Google into that next.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yes. What's up with that?
- 8:05Speaker 5: She is a very interesting character.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Because it was one thing when you assumed, and much
- 8:10Speaker 3: like the friend, that this was a whole....
- 8:13Speaker 4: But according to the bag, it says in small letters,
- 8:16Speaker 4: for a limited time only, in bigger letters it says,
- 8:20Speaker 4: and only in Canada.
- 8:23Speaker 6: And the fact that he made her wear that ugly
- 8:25Speaker 6: pink dress to add insult to injury.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Personally, Story about that.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Well, it gets.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I come out okay. Okay, good. Well, we've all seen
- 8:39Speaker 4: the picture. Three months after the fall of Washington, D.C.,
- 8:43Speaker 4: the planet is a hellish battleground for an all-out war
- 8:47Speaker 4: between prehistoric undead forces and the scattered remnants of the living.
- 8:51Speaker 2: See, the concept seems great, but I just feel.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Like the execution's not going to be there.
- 8:58Speaker 4: The resistance movement has its own plan to hit. Control
- 9:02Speaker 4: Z and undo the zombie apocalypse. Oh, wow.
- 9:07Speaker 3: What kind of nerds wrote this? Otherwise, go to moviemouthdown.com
- 9:11Speaker 3: and click the Horror Club link right there on the
- 9:14Speaker 3: homepage and join the club now. Help keep this terror
- 9:19Speaker 3: train rolling.
