- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, bottlers.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another wonderful episode of the Fantasy Football Fumble.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I'm here with my co-host Joe the Birdman.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Joe, how are you doing today, brother?
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: I'm doing pretty well.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Another strange week of football, a lot of unexpected events.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: And uh I think this is about the time when you really start to settle in and know if your team needs to make some big changes or you can sit tight.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: And I'm like 50-50 across the board.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: There's there's some major changes that need to happen in a few leagues, and the other leagues I'm just kind of coasting, but there's still a ton of time left.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: We still have 10 weeks left until the playoffs.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Don't give up, even if you're on five, don't give up.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and if you guys at least follow our segments, uh, we're gonna get into that a little bit later today.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Uh, but we definitely have some good ideas on how you could kind of, if you need to sell off some pieces that may have been drafted high and not pay dividends.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: For example, you know, there's players out there that haven't lived up to their stock.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: This is the time to either, you know, take a look at their future schedule and see if they're gonna move, you know, make sense to stick with them or to move forward.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: But regardless, before we get into all that, uh, we're getting to our news and notes after a word from our sponsors.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Hey there.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I'm a U.S.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: My specialty is VA transactions, muscle experience in multiparts real estate.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, you're willing to do the things that somebody aren't willing to do.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And what's that, Manny?
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Two straight bands.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your six.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: I'm Manny James Gonzalez, find land for the free and home for the brave.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Welcome back, ballers.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Let's get into some news and notes.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: So I just heard this today, a few hours before we started recording.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Joe Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals, which me personally, I love it.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: I think that's a huge step in the right direction.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: I I was hopeful for Browning, but it didn't pan out, so I like the change.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: So he'll be out for the neck for the next four weeks.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: And Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray injured his foot during week five, but doesn't seem to be anything serious.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Although right now his status for week six is still uncertain.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: And keep an eye on all the 49ers, Purdy and Pearsall and Jennings.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: You know, they were all out last week, and it's possible that they missed this week.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Pearsall is trending in the right direction.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, so is Jennings, but you know, we heard that last week too.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: So and the commanders are optimistic about Terry McLaurin having a chance to play on Monday night against the Bears, but there's a chance he could be limited.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Uh other than that, on uh not really too much else to report.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: And I gotta say, given the first few weeks, not too many injuries, so that's always nice.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Uh one one notable guy I was I was just thinking about.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: So uh some running backs look at Joe Mixon is gonna be eligible to return from IR sometime in the next two to four weeks.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: They're saying three to four, but they're always you know trying to throw a curveball out there.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Um, another guy, Bucky Irvin, might actually miss next week as well.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: He's he's apparently dealing with a uh a nag and injury, and uh, you know, more about that later, of course.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a good that's a good point, though.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Is uh you want to keep an eye on Bucky.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: You know, hopefully you handcuffed him with Rashad White, who had a great game last week, but yeah, his status is still up in the air, too.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: So we'll have to keep an eye on all these guys.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Nothing, you know, they were even talking about Saquon Barkley being a little banged up, but he had a limited practice this week, so he's probably just resting since they play on Thursday.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: But you just gotta be extra careful because you know, especially with these 9 30 games, you know, we saw it happen with Jalen Warren.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Everyone thought he was playing, they forgot that's an early game, and then all of a sudden you're getting a zero in your starting lineup because you didn't make adjustments.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: So you got to keep an eye on all these guys, including Jalen Warren, actually, because he's there's a chance that he'll be limited or miss again this week.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, definitely.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Now let's get into some trade targets for week six.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: All right, so I want to lead this off, right?
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Because I just started talking about them for a second.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Um, but Bucky Irving, right?
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: He's he's somebody that's limited right now, may miss next week.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I think he's a perfect trade target right now because he's somebody that has a high ceiling, a really stable floor.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: If you look at that Tampa Bay offense, they're pass heavy, but because they're shorthanded, basically they've been doing a lot of wide receiver screens and like design run plays and all this stuff kind of getting shifty because and they're making sure that the running back such a ball, uh i.e.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: example, Rashad White, you just said his name a couple minutes ago.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: He had a two-touchdown game, and he's nowhere near the caliber of a running back that that Bucky Irvine is.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: So I expect him when he comes back to ball out.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's only had 71 carries over the first four games, right?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: So that's not a lot.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Uh, or that's not like you know, ideal in what you're looking for, right?
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: You want to give him at least 20 touches a game.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: But I mean, the last game alone, he had seven receptions over a hundred yards and receiving yards for that game specifically.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Like, he's somebody I would definitely get now.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Maybe take a loss or two in the next week or so.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: But then once he comes back, if you look at the back half of the Buccaneers schedule, uh weeks 14, 15, 16, and 17 typically should be your uh playoff weeks if you're running certain most leagues.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: So 14 is New Orleans Saints, week 15 is Atlanta Falcons, week 16 is the Carolina Panthers, and week 17 is the Miami Dolphins.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: So if you're gonna get anybody, make a play for anybody on the damn Buccaneers team, Baker, uh Bucky Irvin, right?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Like maybe goodbye low on Mike Evans, right?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: I I would stay away from Godwin, but there's nobody that's gonna sell a Meko Buka for anything less than your firstborn, man, because that guy's top five right now, wide receivers.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think he's number three overall.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: He's number one last week.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Uh, dude's been amazing.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: I mean, I expect him to have a good season, but nothing like this.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: My goodness.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Wow, that's a good that's a good uh schedule for the the playoffs, and I totally agree.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: And if you think about last year, Bucky didn't get started until mid-season last year.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: So, you know, right now he's he's looking unbelievable if he has to rest for a couple weeks, and you know, you're three and two or four and one, make that trade for sure.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: And um a guy I want to talk about.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: If you're looking to improve your quarterback situation, I think you should make a move for Jaden Daniels.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: It's been kind of a rough start for him.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: He missed a couple games, and Terry McLaurin has two.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: He's averaging nine point 19 points a game, which is fine, but like when you're drafting him, you're expecting 25, 30, you know.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: So there's plenty of time left in the season.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: He's an unbelievable player.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: If you can package someone like Justin Fields and a flex player, you might be able to get him on your team.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: You know, take advantage of the emotions of someone that's you know maybe started him and is a little disappointed or you know, had to take a couple losses because they couldn't start him.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: I have him in, I think, three leagues, and uh I'm a little disappointed, but I know that he's gonna bounce back, and especially when Terry McLaurin's healthy and they're at full capacity, he's gonna have an unbelievable season.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: So I would try to make a trade for Jaden Daniels if you're in need of a quarterback and you've and you've got some pieces to play with.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I definitely get that.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: And um I I'm a I I'm one of those guys, man.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: The first four weeks, like you know, like you were saying, you're kind of developing your team, figuring out who's gonna stay, looking at that upcoming you know, second half of the season.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: Um, but Jay Daniels is somebody that hasn't even got a chance to like get warmed up yet.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: So once he gets on fire, brother, he's gonna be a top five QB all year long.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Because right now, like the top 10 wide receivers include Sam Darnold, Matt Stafford, as far as fantasy points are concerned.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: You know, we're talking about guys like that.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: So I think obviously it comes in streaks.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: So these guys are hot now and they eventually fizzle out.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: So I'd rather have these guys that are gonna be hot the second half of the season.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: You can go on them.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Um and you know, once he's got you know, got you got to remember McLaurin got a late start due to the contract, and so now you know that's always uh gets you a little worried about injuries.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: We saw what happened to Iuk last year, and we've seen it before, but you know, McLaurin's gonna come back healthy.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Debo's been unbelievable, he's just got a lot going on where he can easily bounce back and be a top five quarterback.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, I could see that easily.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Uh I now I do have I don't have a trade target, but I gotta sell high, so it's like a target.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Like, hey, you know, use this as a trade asset.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: So um Michael Carter, Arizona Cardinals, he's somebody that just got the workload last game, kind of by default.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Like he was the hot hand, he had 18 carries for 51 yards.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: That's that's terrible, right?
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: He's averaging like two yards of carry.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: He had one touchdown, and then he had five receptions for 22 yards.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: So if you're talking about anybody that's gonna be all-time high value, this guy, week one, you know, he's he's a one week winner.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Maybe he might have another good week or two, but I would be somebody look for somebody that is desperate at that position and trade them off.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: For example, in Arlee, someone traded him off for Tony Pollard, right?
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: So not a bad, bad, bad trade whatsoever, but he capitalized on that trade value altogether, you know.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I had a couple people try to trade him to me, and they probably have the same thought process as you.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: This is a short-term thing, I need to plan for the long term.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: And you can get, you know, some people that are in a situation where they're one and four or oh and five, and they're like, I gotta have a win.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I'm gonna make that trade because my running back's on a buy this week.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: And that brings me to my next guy that I think you should make a trade for, uh, because he's on a bye this week is Jordan Addison.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: Uh, he wasn't nearly as impressive in week five, even though the points were basically the same 15 uh fantasy points.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Uh, he wasn't nearly as impressive in week five as he was in week four.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: He was bailed out by a touchdown the fourth quarter.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: That was really close.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: He really didn't have a good stat line until the last three minutes of the game.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: So the per the person who has Addison is probably aware of that.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: They were probably watching that game frustrated.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: It was the only game on in the morning, so you're probably watching it.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: And I was watching it frustrated because I started Addison in like three leagues, and then at the end, he got bailed out.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: But still, he's a great player and he's gonna continue to be very involved in the Minnesota offense.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: He just came back, you know, he's only two games into the season.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: So if you need to fill a wide receiver slot um because, or I'm here, I'm sorry, if someone needs to fill a wide receiver slot because he's on a bye this week, if they're in need of like, hey, let's do a two for one, and I'll give you Addison and you can afford to put him on your bench, I think it's a great time.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: Like to target people that are in need of a player and they have a losing record, I think it's you know best to do on a solid player's bye week.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: And that's why I was talking about Pitts last week, and that's why I'm talking about Addison this week.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: I think when these guys are on a bye and you find a team that's really in need of a win, that's when you can take advantage of the situation.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: And I think Addison's gonna be great the rest of the season, whether it's McCarthy or Carson Wentz, a quarterback.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: That's definitely a good uh good observation, man.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: If you were watching that game, which 90% of America was watching that game, right?
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if it was actually a decent one, too.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, you probably were on that roller coaster emotionally, like, damn, you know, I just got bailed out, like you said, in the fourth quarter by this touchdown.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: I'm not I'm not gonna you know bet on this again, right?
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: So they end up selling high on him, but much like yourself, I do think he's definitely gonna be a high value asset.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna be Jalen Naylor getting a bunch of those passes.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Like it's just Jalen Naylor happened to be there all camp, you know.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: So yeah, you're right, he will get integrated, and he's gonna be easily a wide receiver two slash three.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: So at least 15 to 17 points a game as a floor.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, and he was great last year.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Like I said, he's just getting warmed up.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: He's gonna be awesome.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: Target those in need, take advantage of those emotions.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our hot call of the week.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's a little uh caliente in here, ladies and gentlemen.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: We got the hot call.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: This is gonna be America's game of the week, right?
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: We call it the game of the week because we know more than half those a-holes that have shows.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just kidding.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Uh, no disrespect to anybody but Nick Wright and Max Kellerman, right?
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: Is he even still on the air, Max Kellerman?
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: He's gonna he's gonna come back, bro.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Let's do a celebrity boxing match.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: All right, come on, Mark, Max Kellerman.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Talk that cash, boy.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Anyways, uh for my hot call of the week, I ended up going with the Lions versus the Chiefs.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Man, that's gonna be a fun game.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Lions are clicking on all cylinders.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: The Chiefs look like the Chiefs of two or three years ago, right?
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: Where they were just you know outscoring you, right?
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, they played a they lost to Jacksonville.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Um, granted, Jacksonville played an excellent game, but that's one of the more uh busy you know games we've seen from the Kansas City Chiefs in the last couple of years, right?
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: They start kind of shifting towards take what the defense gives you, and that game kind of looked like yes, that's what they played.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: However, they they were looking to score some points.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Now, although I don't have anybody specifically, I love on the Chiefs side, uh, I'm one of those sell high on Travis Kelsey, sell high on you know Xavier Worthy, because you're not gonna get that consistency all the time.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: But uh, I mean, on the just on the opposite the line side, you're gonna start everybody you have on there.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: You know, you're gonna it I know Chiefs are a good defense and all that, but I think that when it comes to like these kinds of matchups, those juggernauts just kind of trade blows.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And uh Detroit's I I'd say easily a top three offense in the league.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: So um I expect them to lit up light up some fireworks.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Can we predict who's gonna be who on you know both sides?
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: No, just go with your good and start whoever you think has the best matchup.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: That's what I was gonna say.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Is it it's it's difficult to think about who to start on both of those teams.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's the automatics, of course.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: You're playing Gibbs and you're playing a Monroe St.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: Brown.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: But like I'm gonna do it.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: You Montgomery.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: Of course, yeah.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: I play Montgomery too.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: And the thing is, though, it's like you know, Jamison Williams, I was really high on him going into this season.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: I actually played him over Devonta Smith in one league last week, and it cost me the game.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: And it was a last minute thing.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: I just looked at the matchups and I was like, oh man, Jameson Williams is playing Cincy.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: Devontae Smith's playing uh the Broncos, and I put Jamison Williams in there, and that was obviously a mistake it cost me.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: And that's what's a little worrying about the Lions is you know, you don't know if Laporta's gonna have uh 20 points or four or six, you know, it's a little stressful sometimes, but you're still gonna start Laporta, and I would, you know, I'd put Jamison on the bench, but uh all the other guys I'd play him.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: And then with the Chiefs, that's another one.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: You don't know who to really play.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, Travis Kelsey, yes, you're gonna start him.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: He had a good game last week, finally.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: That was a nice little rebound.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: And um Mahomes has looked awesome.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna play Mahomes and you're gonna play Travis Kelsey.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: And you know, at receiver, luckily you're gonna have Rasheed Rice back soon.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: But I'd play Xavier Worthy and I'd be pretty confident in him.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: But outside of that, I'm I'm obviously not starting either running back.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Kareem Hunt had a couple touchdowns, but he had like 10 yards, you know.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: They, I mean, no, that's like if you need him in a double flex league, that might not be a bad play, but like you're holding your breath for 10 points.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, exactly.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: It's just hard with with the Chiefs and the Lions, it's hard to know who's gonna go off, but I do see that being a high scoring game, despite them both having a legit defense.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: I think that's gonna be a battle.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: But yeah, who who to play outside of the automatic roster starts is difficult.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: I think more like uh plug in plug-in uh for the bye week, right?
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of people dealing with bye weeks.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, now we're gonna be seeing this for the next four or five weeks, right?
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: You know, luckily the NFL kind of compressed it down so the bye weeks aren't as far out.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: So I think it's like weeks five through 12 or something like that, or 11.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Um, but definitely there's a lot of people facing some question marks this week for starters.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: So if you can plug them off the free agency wire and just plug them in for a game, I mean I think it's worth it.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like Thornton is in a bad start, you know.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: He's had uh the last three out of four weeks have been pretty legit for him.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: So I mean, if you need a plug and play, he's not a bad option.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Or Hollywood.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Or Hollywood, you never know.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: There's three examples of three more examples for it's difficult to say who's gonna go off.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: Now, for my hot matchup, I've got the Bears versus the Commanders.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: The Bears were a little banged up going into their bye week, but they're back to full health, and the offense is looking good.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Um, the same applies for the commanders.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: They've had a few injuries along the way, but the offense has been really strong, and the defense is kind of struggling for both teams.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: So that's always promising from a fantasy perspective.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: And for the Bears, I'm starting Caleb Williams, DeAndre Swift, and Roma Dunze.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: I'm a little nervous about DJ Moore unless it's like a double flex and you don't have a better option.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: But yeah, Caleb Williams has been awesome.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: DeAndre Swift has been at least, you know, a solid enough floor, and Roma Dunze has been awesome too.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: So if you do need a spot start at tight end, just because I believe this is gonna be a high-scoring game, this is a very risky play.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: But if you need a spot start and you're desperate, you could plug in Cole Komet, who had nine targets last game, but he only had three catches, and that's a very risky move.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: But I'm just saying if you're real desperate, you can reach.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: And then for the commanders, I'm gonna start Jaden Daniels, Krosky, Merritt, and Debo, of course.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I'm a little hesitant to start Terry McLaurin uh because he could be limited.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: I, you know, you got to keep an eye on that as the week plays out.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: If he's limited in practice all week, he might not be able to make those, you know, sprints downfield just yet.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: You might want to hold off.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: But if you drafted him, you're probably gonna start him.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: And hopefully you have a better option than Zach Ertz at tight end.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: But I have him in like five leagues, and he finished with zero points last week.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, the first couple weeks were great, but the last three weeks have been bad.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: You know, he had six points, six points, then zero.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: So let's see if he can bounce back with like 10 to 12 points in a in a high scoring game this week.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: But hopefully you have a better option at a tight end.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: But unfortunately for me, I'm gonna be playing Earth's in a few leagues.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: You either get a zero or you get 10 points.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: That's the way of the tight end, right?
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: That's the truth, man.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Now let's get into our cold calls.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: For my cold call, I got the Browns versus the Steelers.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the Steelers again, it's a divisional matchup from two of the best defensive units in the NFL.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: And the Steelers, I mean, the Steelers have been suspect, but they've got flashes of greatness, and I still think they're one of the best defenses in the league.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: And we know that the Browns are.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: So any kind of divisional matchup in the AFC is gonna be a hard pressed game.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: And the Steelers are rested after the bye week, and they're playing at home.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: So this is gonna be a really fun game for me to watch, and it's probably not gonna be great for fantasy, but it will be an entertaining defense.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Of battle.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: And for the Steelers, there's only one person I'm starting.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: And that's DK Metcalf.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Everyone else, including Jalen Warren, I'm worried for this game because Jalen Warren could be limited, and the Cleveland is just so mean against the run.
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: And for the Browns, I'm starting Quinshawn Judkins, and that's it.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: Uh, there's no one else you can even really think about, except for you know, maybe Nojoku if you're desperate at tight end.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: But honestly, I think that's it.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: It's DK Metcalf for the Steelers and Judkins for the Browns.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: And with a lot of players on bys again, you might not have better options than Jalen Warren.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: But I just wouldn't expect a big game from him.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: You know, you're gonna hope for 12 points because you're you're talking about the number one defense against the run, and on top of that, he's coming back from an injury.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: So just pump the brakes all around.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: You know, even with DK, you know, he had a great, great game uh last time he was on the field, and he is coming back coming from a bye, so he'll be ready to go.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: But this is a tough game for for both teams.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: You know, that fall off for Jared Judy needs to be studied, man, because he was actually getting drafted in the same area.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: He was right on top.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: He was getting drafted right before Roma Dunze and all these mock drafts and every other draft I've ever seen, right?
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Because people were pretty much had all those guys the same Cortland Sutton, you know, Jerry Judy, Roma Dunze, you know, like not in that particular order, but that was kind of the category that they were in.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Xavier Worthy, you know, like wide receiver twos.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: And um obviously he's somebody that's a wasted pick, but just Cleveland general, you're right, man.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: It's a it's a crapshoot.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Uh Dylan Gabriel is probably gonna start again.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Maybe we'll get some Shadora Sanders, who knows?
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Um, but Steelers said you're right.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: I I I am so happy that the only sheriff Steelers football I have is is literally DK Metcalf, and that's it.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: Same, yeah.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: And dude, like what you're saying about Judy is I gotta I gotta say, I was not high on him at all.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: I didn't draft him in any leagues, and it was because he's on the Browns.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: And you know, it's funny, I'm excited about Flacco going to Cincy.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: I think that's gonna be awesome.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, he's gonna he's gonna make things happen, but I did think that about Cleveland too.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: I thought that Flacco was the right guy.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I don't know what the situation is in Cleveland, but it's real bad.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: You know, aside from Quinsha Jenkins, there's no one on that offense that you can get excited about, and that team as a whole is just in disarray, but their defense is rock solid.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it's fuck, it's funny with Flacco.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: Like he's a stud, and I like him as a fantasy quarterback specifically, but I thought he could make something happen in Cleveland, even though I was you know down on Jerry Judy.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: I thought that offense could do all right with him, and I'm really hoping he can turn it around in Cincy because I've got a lot of stock in Chase Brown and also uh Jamar Chase.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: So I'd like to see some more boom games than garbage time.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: Now for my cold call, you know, it's not hard to see which game stinks for the week.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: So I my mind automatically like scrolls and then locks in.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: So this this week's shit shitty game.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: I mean, cold call or cold game of the week.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be Titans versus Raiders, man.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Two, one and four teams going at it.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: See who has a smaller penis.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: Um, I was looking at that game too.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: And and man, no offense to anybody on either one of those teams, but they're both struggling, man.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: I don't want any shares of any players on either side.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: Well, maybe with the exception of Genty, right?
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Like he's the only guy that's consistent, you know, and it took him a while to get on, too.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: I think it was about two or three games before he finally popped off.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: And on the other side, you know, the Titans side, Tony Pollard finally had a decent game.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Cam Ward finally did had an alright game, so did Calvin Ridley.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: I just can't trust that consistency.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: No chance.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: They're they're in a tough division now because Colts have a really stout defense.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, I just I just don't see it going their way, right?
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: So uh that's someone that I wanted a game I want to stay far away from, and I am so happy that I did not tell any of you to draft any of their players, with maybe the exception of Ridley.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: That I'll be honest with.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I liked Ridley, he's probably my shit call the year.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Well, a lot of people are real high on Ridley.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: He's the last couple seasons, though, has been peaks and valleys for him.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: You never know what you're gonna get.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: He's boom bust.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: And dude, I'm sorry, but with those offenses, exactly what you said.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: Like, that's why I was not as high on Ashton Genty, and he has looked really good recently, and he's just he's been he actually looked good like from the start, but just not what we wanted.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: You know, it took him a while to have a boom week, and we did see it, but that consistency concerns me a lot.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: And I don't know if Brock Bowers is is gonna play this week either, but I think he's banged up, and you know, he hasn't been playing at the level you drafted him, not even close.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: So that's there's a lot of hesitation, and these these boom bust players, they're the last guys I want on my team.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Even when they do have those big weeks, then they hit there's so much stress in between that I'd rather just have the consistent 15 points than someone that's gonna get you seven or eight one week and 25 the next.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: This is the same discussion we keep having, right?
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: We keep telling people stop overvaluing tight ends.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: We're number one and two right now, Trey McBride and Brock Powers, we're both being drafted in second and third round.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: That means those guys to be drafted a second and third round, they have to produce at least like 20 points or more per game for it to be a successful draft pick for your fantasy season.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Now, if if if you ended up waiting, like I told you guys and and pushing it to weeks nine or rounds nine through twelve, you were able to get uh at least one or two of the top five fantasy tight ends here right now.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: Freaking Jake Ferguson is tight end one, right?
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: And then uh Dalton Kincaid is tight end two, and those guys are being drafted late, you know, and then it goes to show you you should never get a tight end before a certain round because you're never gonna get right now, these guys are killing it and they're averaging 10 to 12 points a game, you know.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: And then you have somebody like Trey McBride and Brock Bowers will get a 30-point game and then a single-digit game, and then you're like, you know, you call it Peaks and Valleys, Feast of Famine, whatever you want to call it.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: It all means the same thing.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: It means that you're overvaluing a position.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: So if you have one of those guys, you know, somebody in your league is weird and likes tight ends that much, trade it to them.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Get yourself maximum return.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Same thing goes for quarterbacks.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: You can replace them like this, so sell them off high while you can.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Now, without further ado, let's get into our shit calls of the week.
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: I thought Derek Henry was gonna come back in week five and remind everyone why he's a top five running back.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: But I really don't know what to say about him.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: I don't because yeah, the Texans have a solid run defense, and Lamar was out last week.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Um, but that was another really bad game.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: And you know, we've discussed that his matchups were difficult the first month of the season.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: You had Green Bay, you had Detroit, you had Cleveland, but we thought that he was matchup proof when we drafted him.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: And I told all of you to run out and make a trade for him.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Honestly, for the rest of the season, I'd like to say I'm I'm confident that he's gonna bounce back, but he's not he's probably not the same guy that we had last year.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: Unless he turns things around big time, you're probably just gonna have to hope for 15 and like pray for 20.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: And I hate to say that because you know he seemed like a guy that even if he didn't get a touchdown, he's gonna get you 150 yards.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: I don't know if that's gonna happen anymore.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: He might be a touchdown dependent running back, and that sucks because I was so high on him going into the season.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: And I was trying to trade for him in a lot of leagues last week, and I couldn't get him.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: So I think a lot of people are just as conflicted as I am where they see what he can do.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: But let's look at what he did last week.
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: 15 carries for 33 yards.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: If he didn't get a touchdown, he would have finished with three fantasy points.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: And next week, it's gonna be another touch tough matchup.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: Uh, he's playing the Rams, and then the Ravens are on a buy in week seven.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: So maybe don't trade for him because I don't know what to expect over the next two or three weeks.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: I don't think that it's it's it's you know, hit the jack button immediately, right?
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Like it escaped from him.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: I think now, if anything, you could buy even lower on him, right?
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: But you're not giving up what one of your top, you know, uh one of your top three guys to get him.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: You're gonna combine a couple pieces that whoever that appointment is, whatever they need, you're gonna package that up to them, right?
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: That's a quarterback, tight end package, you know, whatever that they they are missing out on.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: You want to make sure you put that in a running back on the return so that you can get him, right?
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Or if you can pay cheaper for him, then do so.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: But you know, although he, I mean, everybody expected him to have a good game, but that's what happens in the NFL, man.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: They're gonna game plan for him, and then they're gonna think he's shut down, and all of a sudden Henry's gonna gallop for a couple touchdowns that game.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: So that's true, and it could have been that the defense just knew they had to focus on Derek Henry and not worry about Lamar.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: So maybe when Lamar's back in the mix, things will change.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: But I have to say, it's possible they just rest Lamar and then they're on a bye in week seven.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, they need to win too.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: So yeah, they can't get too far behind in the DFC, man.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that's the thing, man.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: I just don't know what to expect with the Ravens.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: I did not expect their start to go like this, and I don't think anybody did.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: People were talking about them being in the Super Bowl and being a champion, so we'll see.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: Looking like Bills Lions now.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: That's not not looking great for the Ravens.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, not even the Bills anymore, right?
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: So the Bills just got knocked off.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Dude, the Chiefs, Chiefs are two and three.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: It's it's been a strange season, man.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: anybody's game in AFC right now, it's wide open.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: NFC is my birds and and the lions.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: Hey man, I gotta say, the Steelers look pretty good too, but I don't get too excited.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: That's AFC.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: I don't get to I know I'm just saying my Steelers look good too, but I don't get too excited because they always do this.
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: They were like 10 and 4 last year, and I was so pumped up, and then you know they decided to shit the bet, just like they always do.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: First round.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: That's what they do, they make it to the playoffs and then they lose.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: Sound like the cowgirls, man.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: It's similar, yeah.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: I'm just good.
- 33:20SPEAKER_01: Don't don't disrespect that.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Backhanded compliment.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: It's that time again, guys.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry that the show's over.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: You know, I we appreciate you guys, you know.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: Uh, again, we keep the show running because of y'all going this year number three.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: Uh, of course, you know, we appreciate all the love, support.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: Keep sharing, liking, downloading, guys.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: We do see everything.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: We do appreciate everything.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Joe.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: But yeah, no, we appreciate all the support.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: Uh, just if you got any comments, put them on YouTube.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: That's the one we check the most.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: And um, like, comment, subscribe, all that good shit.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: All right, guys.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: See you next week.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, ballers, same time, same place.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: You know where to find us.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: You guys be safe and good luck this week with your matchups.
